My family and I stayed at this location and was very pleased with the accommodations and the staff. I would like to give a shout out to John for making us feel so welcome. Then the next morning Joyce made sure we had everything we needed when went downstairs to have breakfast. Exceptional, truly exceptional.
I was very pleased with the front desk staff at the Hampton Inn in Americus. They were friendly and accommodating to our needs while we were there. The rooms need a through cleaning. The service was that of a five star hotel in a large metro city. Chris, Crystal, and Johnny were great! I would definitely bring my group back because of the staff. (Not the rooms, some need an upgrade)
Hotel is a lot older than appear online. Pictures are very deceiving. While the service is good the condition of the hotel is falling apart not worth the price! My floors have not been vacuumed, I noticed fecal matter on the wall in the bathroom they were all type of signs of neglect. And my bedsheets have what appears to be dried or old fecal matter stains in the sheets! Bad representation of the Hampton brand! Will not return.
Great customer service(Thanks Johnny). The hotel took great efforts to ensure safety during these times of a pandemic. The clean stay seal on room doors to let you know it has been cleaned was awesome. Even the remote control is sanitized. There was breakfast served by staff(it was delicious!) Great hotel in a small town. Will definitely stay again on my next visit to GSW.
We were in town for a baseball camp at the college and right when I walked into the room it what hot and muggy and smelled like mildew. Turned the AC on right away but was nervous to keep it on because it looked like it hasn’t been cleaned in years. Walls were dirty and the bathroom was a need of a major renovation. Beds were very uncomfortable and noisy and the pool was horrible..looked like it hasn’t been taken care of in months. Not much in that town as far as hotels go so I sucked it up. Do not stay here though, if I did research I would have stayed at the Windsor hotel instead.
Not Hilton standard. Rather disappointing and wish I would have booked elsewhere. Very dirty, strange smell and obvious signs of poor housekeeping. Stains on the walls, appliances covered in greasy fingerprints, floor chipped in a high traffic area, bad paint touch ups, mold, and greasy headboard. The more I look around, the more I want to leave. The Best Western down town (the beautiful old hotel) is where I had dinner, and when I checked rates COST LESS then this place!!!! Even the rates online for this hotel are cheaper by $20 compared to what I booked this hotel directly at last night on the phone!!!! So disappointed and can’t wait to go home to my clean house.
Staff is awesome. Room 211 needs repairs. Shower door rolls open while youre showering. Shower head needs cleaning - too much hard water buildup. A/C controls are a joke. Wall controls arent connected, unit-mounted controls are loose and worn out. Bed was very comfy. Room was clean enough (some random hairs in the shower and bathroom). Room door handle barely works and needs replacing. Door locks work great, though.
No baggage carts,rooms old and dated, had to change rooms,nothing worked,the guest laundry has no machines,and the 6 am breakfast is a lie! No food before 7! Change your signs! For the price they charged,we wont be back to this location! Moving my entire crew to another hotel! Dont waste your time and money! Guess 5 rooms for a weeks business is not important to them! Showers are old and nasty looking too!
This is my 3th or 4th time staying there within the last year and its gotten worse each time. The room smelled of smoke and poop. The decor was old dated, the tub was rusty, the chairs seemed stained, the window shade wouldnt go up and the side door was difficult to open with the key. The shower head was also difficult to turn on to the point my brother had to call the front desk for help. Johnny at the front desk and housekeeping are always pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately this is 1 of 2 hotels in Americus. I will have to try the other one. The room # was 104
Our first stay here was pleasant but our second stay was horrible. We entered the room to find the pillows just tossed on the bed, hair on the bathroom floor and a used shower cap still hanging on a hook behind the bathroom door. It was really late so I decided to overlook these annoying discrepancies. I went to bed and wondered why the sheet was gritty at the foot of the bed. We pulled back the covers to find black debris in the bed. We reported it to Krystle who was the desk attendant and she gave us an additional key to room 107. She said the room was clean but the toilet handle was not operable. This I had to see. We open the door to find tissue, used rag, open bar soap on the counter. Did I mention that the toilet tank cover was placed across the toilet seat. I was expected to sleep in room 107 and walk down the hall to my original room 113 to use the rest room. I am still processing this horrific experience. The attendant was extremely polite and soft spoken. Im sure she did the best she could with what she had. I personally think management is an issue here. This should have never happened. I gave this hotel a one star only because the staff was nice.
Very clean hotel, comfortable bed and the nicest staff ever! Staff is all smiles and gracious southern hospitality. Breakfast is great - lots of yummy options. We were lucky to find this place to escape Irma. Housekeeper hurried to get our room ready when she saw how tired and upset we were. Karen at the front desk was so helpful - 5 stars to her and to Brittany.
I travel on a regular basis & have stayed in many hotels but Ive never actually complained online. To start, the girl at the front counter was so rude. I think, whatever maybe shes had a bad day. Then I see the room.... disgusting.. hair everywhere. Stains on every wall and counter. Grime everywhere. The sheets and pillows smell terrible... 100% DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!
This hotel was far from the ranking of mediocre...there was literally green indoor/outdoor carpet in a strip about 2 feet wide running across the room. As if something happened to the original carpet that was down, and instead of replacing ALL the carpet, the owners just grabbed cheap I/O carpet to try and make it work...#ItDidntWorkBro... i gave it one star, because the desk clerk was nice...😑 #Room104
Stayed here to attend a wedding. The desk employees were nice. I found that I had severe allergies to something in my room. It was horrible! So anytime I was in my room I couldnt breathe. I also had a hard time accessing the doors because my cards never worked. I would definitely not recommend this motel.
Very dirty room. Actually quite disgusting. Greasy hand prints covering microwave, TV, fridge, room air conditioner filters disgusting, greasy headboards, broken cabinet and suite case bench, mold in shower, broken plastic on shower door, sharp chipped tiles, horrible mismatched paint touch up and stained walls, room smell, broken crown molding, fridge had mold and built up ice in freezer box, and stains on the carpeting. I could care less the remote was sanitized this room was appalling. NOT Hilton standard by any means, making this the last time I EVER stay in a Hampton. ) : Also, was overcharged compared to the higher end hotel down the streets rates for the same night being less! I thought I had chose the nicer of the two. I was completely wrong. Grossssss, HILTON do you see this?
It’s is a VERY disgusting place. There was roaches everywhere. The air conditioning was awful. So therefore it was hot. DO NOT get in their pool. It’s like they don’t clean it out and it be roaches everywhere by the pool and in the pool. And YES they did fly and swim!!!!! I HIGHLY recommend that you do NOT stay here. They DO NOT give refunds. We asked for a refund and the lady said there is nothing I can do about it we took pictures of the roaches we killed and showed them to her and she just said I’m sorry. Worst hotel experience ever. It was just a waste of money !!!!!!!
Absolutely disgusting! Walls, tub, floor, sheets, chairs, bathroom….everything was absolutely GROSS! I paid Hilton rates for a flea motel.Hotel choices in Americus are limited and they do not care.It was room 203. If this hotel is franchised, the franchisee needs to have their franchise agreement revoked!
By far the best place to stay in Americus period!! Breakfast was amazing, the staff was superior (Johnny is the only person we dealt with one on one and he is definitely a major asset to yall), beds and pillows were super comfortable, room and bathroom was spotless, dining and entry was clean and roomy, even the gym was on point! I cant say enough how impressed we were with this Hampton Inn. It was also very affordable especially considering the care and upkeep put into this location! We will be back!!
Notes from my initial review: Pool, but no hot tub and no bath tub in the room. Just a shower. Nice enough bed though, not too hard. Standard hotel breakfast.Additional notes: I was going to lower my review to 3 stars due to a lack of guest laundry and available breakfast allergen information, but then I encountered three cockroaches in my last full day there, each of which was reported and shown to the front desk.Advice (Especially if you are on the first floor): If you stay here lay a bath towel out on the floor by your door, like a welcome mat. It seems that the cockroaches snag their feet on the loops. Then you will know for yourself. (I discovered this by accident.)
This is a bad hotel with a newish refinish. I stayed in room 106.This room had fresh pain on the walls, and fresh wallpaper in the bathroom The wallpaper was covering mold, clearly visible in portion that were peeled back.The glass doors to the shower were thick and nice, but the shower had loose piped, and more caulk than my entire house. Worse, there was mold under fresh caulk. The water got hot, but the entire shower was just unsafe. The traction was worn so flat I almost bit it while sliding into the shower the first time.The front door latches, but isnt closed You can see people walk by, and the light comes through at all times The locking mechanisms on the door were broken, and the latch was obviously kicked out a few times.Worse yet, the fridge was not dependable. My insulin was sitting in a pool of water from the freezer compartment, and the ice packs for travel were melted and barely cold. The next day it worked for an hour and then returned to inoperable. For diabetics this is unacceptable, we need to know our life saving medication wont kill us!
First time in Americus and was delighted to see an Hampton Inn. As soon as I walked in JOHNNY was very pleasant and made an instant connection. Great hospitality in getting to know my needs for the night and made great recommendations for tomorrow around town. The facility itself was really accommodating. If ever bqck, definitely would stay here again. Thank you Johnny for being awesome!
Inexpensive. Decent customer service from staff. Desk clerk Brittany is a shining jewel of the hotel. She has been the most helpful, courteous, and friendly person Ive ever dealt with at any hotel. She should be at a finer establishment or compensated more for staying loyal to an average chain hotel.
This is the worst Hampton Inn Ive ever experienced. The rooms are visibly old never mind the fire hazard of the fact that I need to throw my body into the door to get it to open. The deadbolt only works by putting your full weight against the door. The heat smells like something is burning (dust) because you can see the unit is dirty. There was hair on my toilet when I checked in, the shower basin is permanently dirty, and the sink clogs. Lastly, the slow elevator has a certificate that expires last January. Other than that, the people are nice.
It did the trick and the people were freindly, but was a little dated, the A/C in our room was struggling to keep it comfortable, the shower in our handicap accessible room, was not wheelchair accessible, the room was a little tight to navigate in a wheelchair, and the beds were way too high for me to get into from my wheelchair (my wife had to help lift me into bed from my chair). Thank goodness she is young and able bodied.
Absolutely the worst experience we have had with Hampton brand hotels. I am a silver-level member of Hilton Honors program and we usually plan to stay at Hamptons when we travel. However, I will definitely never stay at this hotel again!The desk clerk at check-in was rude and seemed to think she was doing us a favor to check us in. The hotel was very busy with car show visitors and I believe we got the room that no one else wanted. The door didnt close properly and the room was dirty. I had to use lysol wipes to clean the desk before I would put my computer on it as it had some sort of sticky substance on it. The most unsettling thing was a dead roach that had been squashed on the wall but not cleaned up. Checking the room, we found no other evidence of active bug infestation. It was late and we were exhausted, so we decided to stay. The air conditioner made a horrible racket all night so we didnt sleep very well. In the morning I wanted to take a shower before leaving, but the tub basin was filthy and the shower head sprayed off to all sides. Skip that, skip breakfast because I was very irritated at that point. We stopped at the front desk and asked for a manager and were told that she was off for the weekend and would not be available until Monday. OK... we told the clerk all of the issues we encountered and her only response was sorry.Hampton advertises that they guarantee satisfaction - apparently not!
Worse experience Ive had at Hampton Inn. I booked room 4 mths early, called 4 days before I was to arrive to notify of late check in. Ive stayed here 3 other times. Upon arrive at 1130 pm 6/9/18 I was told by Chris-manager on site, that hotel had overbooked & he had me a room reserved next door - Econo Lodge. I called the hotel manager the next day. Who was unprofessional, and could only say we comp you the first night of your stay then would put me on hold. Having no choice but to stay at Hampton second night while out by the pool, I got piece of glass in my foot, pool was dirty. Not a good experience, rooms were very clean & comfortable. I will be back, not good experience this trip.
Worst hotel we have ever stayed in. My family of 5 had an adjoining room and all 5 of us had to share one shower. The one shower cut off in the middle of showering. The security bolt on the door was broken, the TV didnt work and all the phones on the 3rd floor didnt work. The morning we were getting ready to leave my husband killed a cockroach in the bathroom and the other room my father in law killed another cockroach!! If you dont have to stay here, dont!! Its disgusting!!!
When we were in the car we called them and said dont cancel our reservation we are coming were just a little late. The lady said ok see you there. When we got there we told the lady our name and asked what room are we staying in. She said you cancled ur raservation but it was one of our family members who cancled for the reunion OML we didnt have a room until someone else cancled. In this hotel I found roaches all over the buliding we were on the first floor and I found 6 roaches and a worm in our room. Plus more than 3 roaches in the hallway. I went to my cousins room the 3rd floor and there was a big spider in there room. Also the carpet was sticky and the bathroom was gross. I highly recommend DONT COME HERE!!!
A dead cockroach on the carpet near the bathroom other than that it was clean apparently. Which put me a bit uneasy about the cleanliness. What really puts it down to 3 stars is the fact that I cant connect my computer to the tv to have the option of dual monitors in my room to watch what i want off of the internet comfortably since I dont care for tv so being forced to not have an option makes me consider using a different hotel chain when I travel since this isnt the first time this has happened with this one.
Hotel smells. Dont get room 120. Curtains dont close; smells like it got wet and very old furniture. The staff is friendly, but its only so much they can do. Its time for a refresh or you might have to take Hampton sign down. Hilton owns Hampton Inn, but they need to check this one.
Raquel K was a great help today. I was staying next door at the Econo Lodge on a company trip for Ironstone Environmental. I broke my phone on our job site and need access to iTunes. Raquel went above and beyond by allowing me to use her computer to access iTunes and access my phone account. I really appreciated the effort!! Thanks.
Been here over a month for business...stayed in several rooms...Rooms are great, air conditioner control, turndown room cleaning everyday..refrigerator, microwave every room..gym..pool..business meeting room..old school computer room...Coffee on tap 24-7..warm breakfast, cold breakfast, to go breakfast every morning with a great dining room with a big screen TV...after breakfast there are cookies on tap in the dining room..and late night the dining room is candle lit...with still cookies on tap

2022-03-28If we could give this place a negative review we would. We checked into the hotel around 11pm. After getting to our room we noticed bodily fluids on both beds that were fresh. The bathroom trash wasn’t empty, there were areas of dust that hadn’t been dusted in what appeared to be months and the bathroom was covered in hair. I have photos to prove all of the items I’m referring too. We called the lady at the front desk and she was super helpful. Her name is Shanda. She went above and beyond to do the best she could. She moved us to a different room. It doesn’t change the fact the hotel itself was truly disgusting it’s old. Needs a thorough cleaning and all of the issues need to be addressed. I’m truly disgusted by the findings of this hotel and as I diamond member I expect better.

2022-05-06This is the best hotel in this city. You can expect a modern clean room, a good breakfast, and lots of friendly staff that make your stay rememberable in a good way. Lets start with Krystal, thank you for making my stay possible. Johnny at the front desk always makes me smile. He has such a great personality. Shanda, I thought she was the hotel manager, she went above and beyond youre amazing & smart! Lastly, Chris I look forward to getting to know you better. 2022-01-25This property does not come near meeting Hilton Standards. My room was in deplorable condition and posed actual safety hazards. The heat/AC unit spewed out dust, dirt and mold on my bedspread and me while I was sleeping. The electrical plugs are not properly attached to the walls. The shower had peeling paint on the ceiling, with hair and mold on the walls. The furniture was broken, the hot tub in the room had water and dirt in it. My bedspread had red sauce stains on it. The rug was a disaster. There was crumbling wall board, with wall board dust on the floor in several areas, including exposed wiring. I do want to compliment Joyce who takes care of breakfast and the front desk staff: Johnny and especially Shonda. Shonda is exactly who I would want greeting guests and making them feel better if owned this hotel.

2022-05-07I had a pleasant experience during my stay at the Hampton Inn located in Americus, Georgia. During my visit the City of Americus was under a water boil alert. Shanda (front desk clerk) was very helpful during this inconvenient time. I travel a lot during the year, it is rare that I encounter pleasant and customer service oriented staff. Shanda was a bright point during my visit at the Americus Hampton Inn.While sitting in the lobby, I observed her continously going the extra mile to accommodate other clients during some tense situations.For an example, a collegiate softball team needed to extend their visit due to weather related postponed games. Unfortunately the hotel was sold-out. Shanda worked to assist a rude patron to find alternative accommodation s.Throughout this process, Shanda remained polite despite rudeness of the customer.

2022-03-28Upon arriving at the hotel around 11pm we checked into our and hoped to get some sleep. We were unable to do that as the sheets in both beds had fresh bodily fluids in them. The bathroom had hair everywhere, dust was so thick in places you could write your name in it. I called the front desk immediately and a very helpful attendant names Shanda helped us out. She went and above and beyond to make sure we got to a “cleaner” room. While the second room was better than the first it was by NO means to Hilton standards. The whole place is disgusting and deplorable. If it wasn’t for the wonderful attendant I probably would have cried I right there. Now I am awake at 11pm going on midnight and I can’t sleep in this hit because it’s gross and by no means to Hilton standards.

2022-03-16I am a Hilton diamond member & I travel a lot. I have stayed in countless Hilton hotels, but this Hampton Inn has the friendliest staff of any hotel I’ve stayed at! Everyone was incredibly polite & in good spirits. Thanks for the great hospitality.

2022-02-10First off the hotel is decent, just a few things wrong one sometimes the doors dont work correctly, when I first checked into my room it smelled like feces or I had to check the toilet to make sure nobody left doo doo in there, now the staff and especially Shanda h. Made me feel welcome and was willing to do whatever it takes to make my stay more comfortable, when you have staff members that are willing to go above a beyond what theyre supposed to do makes the staff get five stars. Now please dont take my word for it come here and experience it for yourself ! To Ms Shanda H. Thank you for making me feel welcome and helping me when I needed it. I hope the hotel owner takes notice of this and reward you with a promotion because you will make the patrons come back because of your hospitality.

2022-01-25Worst Hampton I’ve ever stayed in. Wish I would have read the reviews first. Hampton corporate is obviously not paying attention. Maintenance issues, door looked like it’d been busted in at some point and was difficult to open. Cleaning service running vacuum in hall prior to 8:00 right outside our door. Other issues too numerable to mention. Front desk staff was nice. That’s why I gave a 2 (not a 1).
