The staff was welcoming and courteous from the time we arrived until we left. The room was really clean and the cleaning crew was helpful. The complimentary breakfast was limited, but only because of current restrictions, but they still made an effort to provide it. I would REALLY recomend this hotel 👍
Let’s start off with the positives things first, this hotel is very clean including the pool, lobby, my room, etc and they have a mini store with everything you need such as ramen, drinks, detergent. The way they decorated the lobby was professional and beautiful. I had no problem with the staff there based on my personal experience. The soap, shampoo and conditioner they gave us was neutrogena, which is a good quality brand. On the other hand, the washing machine was dusty and dirty so we did not bothered to use it.
Black hair on the shower wall when I got here. So gross. When I walked in, I saw shoes by the bed. Out comes the lady cleaning, saying shes making the bed... With no shoes on. Ok. Im a Diamond Member, but who cares! Second floor next to a very noisy elevator. Thanks! Wont be choosing this location again for my business trips.
My family stayed here four months ago and thought highly of the place, so on our return drive we made reservations to stay again. Second time around was not so great. Our room was filthy. The carpet was so dirty it made my sons white socks (in the car for 6 hours) black on the bottoms. Gross. We will be heading back through the area in a few weeks, but I think well try a different hotel.
Haven’t stayed there as a guest, but I was employed as the front desk agent and when I say these people robbed me! They ROBBED me. I worked there for 16 days with only 2 days off before I realized they shorted my check $200!! They can’t keep staff because they are inconsiderate of people’s time. They work you to the bone only to find they steal money through deductions. NEVER WORK HERE!
When trying to book with them someone had answered and said they had a room (perfect for us) then they asked us to hold, he then came back and hung up. We called back and someone would answer then hang up, we tried calling about 4 times and it kept happening so we just gave up for about 30 minutes. When we called back a lady answered this time and said they had a room but we didnt want that one so I said goodbye and have a nice day, she then ignored me and hung up. VERY poor customer service and communication!!
You had to toggle from the tub to shower to get about 5 seconds of hot water and then it went cold. The beds were hard The juice machine put out warm juice They had the waffle mix out in the open already in cups it was hard and the waffle machine put out chunky waffles. The staff did not seem to be concerned at all about making your stay better. This is the first Hampton Inn that I did not love my stay.
While our stay was good, I was disappointed in the poor customer service from the Asst Gen Mgr. Nisha Patel. She was very rude, unattentive, and unaccomodating. I have never experienced such rude service at all of my stays with the Hilton brand. I filed a complaint against her.
Make sure you get your reservation and confirmation locked in before arrival. I was charged a standard rate and not the discounted rate for having Hilton Honors rewards. I had not received a call from management to discuss this situation. I was told by HH that I would be contacted within 3 days. It is day 4 now.
Worst experience Ive had in my life, dont know but think management needs to check out their employees. Getting called a liar isnt something I take from others and aint taking it from them. Got charged extra $250 because said there was fresh cigarette smoke when they checked the room. I know if management was told that someone told them a lie, yes I do smoke but my smokes dont leave the car when at a motel. Plus the morning we left we was there long enough to get up and leave so I know for a fact not one cigarette was in that room the whole time we was there. Rip off central!
The staff was absolutely amazing. When we arrived that Thursday night, Vanessa greeted me with a smile and was very helpful. We went up to the 4th floor and the hallway smelled incredibly clean. The next day I met the young lady working in housekeeping and complimented her on how good everything smelled. The breakfast was great and Mrs. Ann taught me Italian during my stay. Anytime Im in Albany, I will be staying here.
I have stayed in Albany 4 nights every month for the past year. Out of the two Hilton locations in the city, this one is by far the most superior. Not only is it a newer location but the staff goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is superb. The rooms are very clean. The front desk staff is welcoming (Thanks Kendra). The cleaning crew is friendly and accommodating. Hotel management is on point (Thanks Marie!) Everyone seems to enjoy working here and it shows in the service they provide. The breakfast is fresh and consistent. I will recommend this hotel every single time. Dont stay at the Hilton Garden Inn unless you enjoy terrible attitudes and a rude staff. I wish all the Hampton Inn s could be as awesome as this one. They set the bar high in customer service and quality.
Myra was courteous when we first stopped to ask about their meeting room facilities. The breakfast bar was super! The staff was very friendly. Demont was very helpful with our family gathering that we held in the meeting room. The rooms were clean and well apportioned. Excellent stay!
Pretty nice place, and the staff is friendly. This hotel seems fairly new, but has not been maintained. Some of the furniture in my room was broken, and it was apparent deep cleaning had not been done for a while. The bed was extra firm, and I felt like I was sleeping on lumpy ground. It wouldnt take much to make this place extremely nice, but it would definitely require new beds, and some elbow grease!
Horrible house cleaning, broken amenities, no hot water....DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! These foreign business owners come here to make $$ off of us and give us scrappy service in the meantime. They charge you for smoking in the room just because they want to....and there is not a thing you can do about it....i think the BBB needs to look into some of their practices....Dont Do It,Disgruntled Guest
Rooms were extremely nice, clean and updated. Only reason I’m giving this less is that both female attendants behind check-in counter did not wear a mask and counted up to 3 guests whom did not wear a mask. It clearly states at the front entrance that everyone must wear a mask upon entering. Reason I book Hampton Inn is because of their strict policy During this crisis. That was disappointing. I stayed at 2 other locations recently and they both followed through with this.
The hotel is beautiful. The rooms are clean and trendy. The beds are comfortable. Here is the reason for 3 stars: check in was quick but the guest agent was not welcoming at all. I told her I checked in on the app and she asked for my ID. Then she handed me the keys and sent me on my way. She didnt offer any directions to the room or elevators. She didnt offer breakfast times or any additional info on the hotel. This was my very first time staying at this hotel so I knew nothing about it. Secondly , the morning of checkout we started getting knocks at the door at 930am for room checks. The second and third knocks were 10am and then a little before 11. I find that to be very annoying and disruptive. With technology today there is definitely a more accommodating way of checking to see if guests are still checked in or at least wait until closer to check out times.
Weve stayed here before so this time I was shocked with two things. First, the tissue holder in the bathroom looked like it was about to fall off. I took a picture to report it but told them I just wanted you to know but please dont disturb me today. Theres even a sign on my door. I go back to my room and what happens 45 minutes later? Maintenance BANGING at my door. Second, we go down for breakfast and the waffle machine made the waffles half done. The outside looked cooked but the inside raw. Please do better Hampton! The rooms were clean though!
Not great—the carpet was dirty, The mattresses were extremely old and uncomfortable, the girl who checked us in during the evening was extremely rude, and the breakfast was disgusting. We were in an accessible room that had carpeting that was very difficult for my chair to roll on which I thought was very strange. I will probably not go back to this one. I gave it to stars because the desk girl in the morning was really sweet and helped us leave on a good note.
This appeared to be a new property. The carpet and decor was very modern. From the drive up canary to the suite, everything was plush, contemporary and had a modern feel to it. The suite however, was built along the lines of a studio as opposed to a two room set-up. That was very disappointing to us as we had planned to take advantage of the divided space. I must say though, the square footage was amazing. Not enough waste baskets though for the enormous space. All and all it was a pleasurable stay. If Im ever in Albany again I will be sure to reserve a room. Id recommend you so the same.
The women at the front desk was harassing my guess and I she wouldn’t even let leave the hotel let alone our room. She kept calling our room like we are the only people in the hotel! If you are a teenager or young adult I would recommend that you choose another hotel because it is not somewhere where you can enjoy yourself without some one watching your every move. I am very upset and will not advise anybody to come to this hotel unless you are older and just wanna sleep. The customer service is piss poor and i am highly disappointed. I wasn’t greeted walking in or anything, I will not be returning this hotel.
Staff was great but.... was advertised with a hot tub which they have filled in and put patio furniture over it. We where also attacked by a lady either drunk or on drugs while having dinner at the bar and later that night I was threatened in the parking lot by a bunch of kids hanging out. Again my husband had to get security.
First Impression is the most important !Im very impressed with this hotel ! Staff is really friendly and professional. The hotel is 5 star clean. Plenty of restaurants and activities close by. If a shopping weekend is in order, then this is the place to stay !The only thing that would need addressed is the internet speed.
Wonderful beds, very comfortable. No water or chef on 1st day so no breakfast (they said couldnt wash dishes so couldnt cook anything). Bathtub drain was broken...literally like in pieces. Inadvertently got locked out on patio on the next day (when they had a chef and water)when eating breakfast. The door locks automatically and you need your key to get back in...when it works. Called the front desk asking for help...they said they would come, didnt. Had to climb over the wall, walk to main entrance to get back in. Asked them @ front desk about leaving us stranded on patio, informed they went to the pool area, didnt see anyone and figured all was well. I guess I forgive them. Just be careful of using that patio sitting area by dinning room...enter at your own risk.
Beautiful facilities and room. Extremely clean and staff was terrific. Would give five stars except the breakfast. The bacon, cereal and waffles were good but the French toast stocks were awful. The fruit was rotten and the bread was stale. There was only one person working the job of two. Everything else was terrific and would definitely stay again.
This is a great, relatively new Hampton Inn. Nice, quiet location near most of the restaurants and shopping in Albany. Room was clean as a whistle and the bathroom was very nicely apportioned (though the shower is a little tight). This hotel was nicer than a lot of fancier hotels that I stay at. I would absolutely recommend this location for business travelers.
I canceled three rooms that I had reserved for employees traveling to the area one full week ahead of the reservations. My card was still charged for the three rooms. Hotel management told me that three of six were canceled. I explained that I had only reserved three rooms. I was told that there was nothing they could do for me. When I asked to speak with her manager she told me that there was no one above her and that she didnt have a supervisor.
I really liked this hotel although the room was very small. Rooms were updated, clean, and modern. Good breakfast, weight room was nice. Located behind Steak and Shake that I also visited and thoroughly enjoyed; but thats another review. The hotel parking lot is a bit inconvenient, theres 2 entrances both require travel through neighboring businesses parking lots. Traffic is heavy in this area due to a congestion of businesses. There are a lot of food options nearby as well as a mall and any other business you may need
Good rooms, clean and well kept. The free breakfast was very good. This is one of the better places to stay in Albany. Their prices are a little higher than the online per diem rates, but so are most other hotels there, I think that the per diem rates should change for Albany to make it easier to stay at a standard good hotel.
I travel for work and stay on the road for up to 3 months at a time. This hotel is clean and the staff is very friendly. The lady who sets up breakfast is great and really loves her job.I have personally never seen a roach in my rooms here over multiple stays. But its Georgia.... They are out there and can always find a way in like any other insect. Get over it person who can handle 1 bug.
Accommodated a walk-in request for 2 night stay after our reservation at Country Inn & Suites by Radisson was canceled without notification. Hampton Inn has very helpful staff, a clean room, a good variety for the free breakfast, and a well stocked pantry for late night snacks. Glad we stumbled into this location and will definitely consider them first for any future stays in Albany.
When I returned to the hotel this evening my earplugs was missing. They are hot pink and have been on the night stand between the 2 beds since my arrival on 5/1/19. I called to the front desk and Jacqueline was on duty, she was very rude and inconsiderate. I explained to her that my earplugs was missing, she immediately starting saying nobody took your things. She didnt show any customer service at all. Rushed me off the phone as I was trying to get to the bottom of the situation. I then went downstairs to let her know I didnt appreciate her being inconsiderate. I then asked her for a manager number and information. At this point she is huffing and puffing not looking me in the eye as Im speaking to her. Then proceeded to take other customers as I was still trying to get to the bottom of things. The service I experienced was horrible. Something must be done about my earplugs and her as an employee. Im sure if I was Caucasian she wouldve handled the situation much differently.
High quality and met expectations, for sure. The lobby was beautifully decorated for the holidays, the bed and linens were top notch, it had an in-room fridge, and the breakfast was complimentary. The location is on a busy corner which made going out for shopping or dinner tricky.
Its a good location on the northeast side of town across from the mall. Plenty of dining options within walking distance or less than 5 minutes away. Even though you are close to busy streets the rooms are quiet. The rooms are clean and modern and everything works. The lobby and breakfast dining areas are spacious.
Decent enough for the price. Everyone was nice, it was clean, had easy parking, and large rooms. To echo someone elses comment, the mattress felt like a pile of lumpy bricks with a sheet on top. Ill stay there again, but only because there are not a lot of Hilton options in the area and this is the better of the two.
After paying almost $200 for the room, it os very disappointing to make requests and they are not honored!!! I always request the first floor because i have a fear of elevators, but when i check in, i receive everything but what i requested. What good is making requests when they are not honored?? This is very unprofessional!!
I travel a lot. A LOT. Im in hotels often, but I hadnt experienced customer service like I did with the gentleman at the front desk upon check in last Friday. Ive been in Hamptons, and Fairfields, and everything around and in between and I rarely get the kind of service he offered. Also, the lobby and dining area are very pristine and posh. Not your average inn. Well done, Albany!
The room was a nice size, but it was more of a cold atmosphere. The alarm clock was glued to the desk, and the beds were lumpy. The televisions re mote control was malfunctioning. One person (Patel) at the front desk seem to work from a script; unimpressed. From the beginning to the end it was not an great experience.
The receptionist appeared bored. The room was HOT and there is a governor on the thermostat. To have a hot room at night in south GA is absurd and I did not sleep well at all. Up getting cool wet cloths to combat the heat. The young man at the desk the next morning was very nice and told me he was reporting it to the manager. I informed him the engineering person came to my room the night before and told me it had a governor and had apologized. Saving money this way is a sure fire way to keep return visits from happening. I will do an airbb before I stay there again.
Woke up with a roach crawling around in the bathroom on 8/30/14. Reported the extra guest to the customer service representative at the front desk. Was informed that the hotel is sprayed on a monthly basis. She would inform her manager and have her give us a call with a solution. The rep apologized for having the unwanted guest. Was talking with another guest....they too had an unwanted guest in their room. The manager NEVER called to discuss the situation so we decided to just check out. The manager was on duty at the time we checked out, I informed her why we were checking out early and her ONLY responded was ok. Not one time did she offer to accommodate us for the inconvenient. Its clear that this hotel is not concerned about their guest who had planned on staying 6 nights with them. Theyre concerned is about the money. I DONT HAVE ROACHES NOR DO WE WANT TO SLEEP WITH THEM!!! DONT STAY HERE.....
BED BUGS !!!!! My family and I was visiting for the holiday week and I woke up the next day with bed bugs crawling on the bed where me and my daughter slept. They offer to change our room and give us the night free. Not good enough !!!! My daughter was bitten . I will NEVER EVER stay here again
They gave another guest a key to my room. So while trying to go to sleep a stranger walks right in! Pretty freakin scary. To add insult to injury they charged my card for my room and this other guests. Way too much money to pay for a stay in any hotel of this caliber. Find another hotel if you are planning on staying in Albany.
Very disappointed in Customer Service. We were there after Hurricane Michael and called ahead of time to make sure the hotel was open and everything would be acceptable. They stated no Cable or Telephone but had Wi-Fi. We chose to stay with them in spite of the small inconveniences. I must admit we were disappointed when we told the internet would be available and free only to be charged at checkout. Mind you it is not a large cost, but with the lack of cable, phone, and ice you would think Hilton could be somewhat considerate of their guest. Just saying loyalty means nothing to Hilton, as we are Hilton Honors members and have stayed with them all over the world. I guess past loyalty is not important. It certainly wont be for us in the future.
Not at all Hospitable by the Manager. We stopped by to inquire about renting a meeting space and was treated like second rate people. This rental could have been ongoing for many months but the lack of professionalism turned me away. We rent Hilton branded hotels all over the country and this was the first time weve been treated in such a horrible manner.

2022-02-22The Staff at check in was nice. There was Pubic hair in the tub and in the towels. The ice machine didnt work on our floor. The room whirlpool tub doesnt work properly. The water pressure in the shower doesnt flow heavy and the hot water heater needs replacing because the water did not get hot. The staff at check was nice.He advise me that his Manger was busy at check out and that she would give me a call back. But she never call the hold day. I am a Diamond member..I travel and use My hilton.com account for booking and never experience these many problems to even not being accommodate some.

2022-06-24BEWARE! This property is using a hotel trend of charging random smoking fees of $250 to plump their profits. I thought it was a mistake and called to rectify it. I spoke to the front desk and Nisha Patel (who lied and said she was not management). I was told the maid smelled something? and maybe I had company in my room?!!! The response and implications from the front desk was insulting and absurd. I have stayed hundreds of nights at Hilton properties as a Diamond member and never had disrespect as I have from this property or an accusation of smoking. I DO NOT SMOKE so this is not possible!I have been overcharged by $250.00, treated disrespectfully and the two managers with a last name of Patel have refused to take my calls. I will not pay this bogus charge and will fight it to my last breath. SO mad! Ive disputed with my credit card company and gone to Hilton corporate.

2022-05-22Absolutely disappointed.. I called all over Albany looking for a hotel that had a pool that was open. I called here, and they told me that the pool was open, and functional and I get here and this is what we experienced. My 2 little boys were very upset. Shame on you. This is completely unacceptable for the price that you charge. This is a 50.00 hotel at best NOT 176.00

2022-05-31The room was very clean and Customer service from Heather was exceptional. I stayed here a year ago and remembered Heather from then. It feels good to be greeted by your name as a diamond member.

2022-02-23This isn’t about a stay!! Discrimination from Mrs. Patel that I will make sure something is done. Making my reports now to EEOC!! If you are going to be judge mental, just put a sign on the door. We don’t really want color to stay here or work here! Sad world we are in. I called Hilton to find out this is a chain hotel. So then they gave the district manager which is her husband so it’s family owned. But it’s laws to protect the citizens

2022-06-21Rooms are clean, staff is cordial. But, food at breakfast is a huge miss with cold limp bacon, cold eggs, waffles but no syrup.

2021-09-03Exceeded my expectations, the room was fresh, clean and cute. The bed was comfy but the pillows were way too soft. Everything was nicely decorated and the customer service was awesome. I didnt really care for the breakfast, couldve had more fruit selections but overall I had a great stay and will definitely stay here again.
