Hampton Inn & Suites Augusta West in Augusta
From the JUMP, I assume the manager wanted to make herself known but her approach was very off-putting. As we walked in, we stood there speaking with the young lady at the desk, the manager walks in “Have you been helped?! (Let your staff do their job ma’am) I’m sure my facial expressions said that.(Cons)-Miscommunication from front desk staff about the pool, was told that it was open but maintenance told us to leave and it was closed.-Was not aware that if you pay with points, the hotel chooses your room (DEFINITELY did not like our room choice)-Water pressure in the shower is more like a slow sprinkle, the toilet didn’t want to flush.-Housekeepers need to be made aware of check out times, and to not harass guests an hour before check out times about late check outs (had a knock on the door at 11 am and was approached in the hallway by a housekeeper) and I’m not exactly sure why we received a knock on the door regarding a BLUE or GREEN chair in the room, supposedly maintenance was doing some sort of “check” (AWKWARD)-Houseman needs to be made aware that the floor should NOT be mopped while guests are waiting on the elevator, there were no wet floor signs and my fiancé almost slipped!(Con)- The absolute BEST part about this stay was breakfast, Connie made our morning a lot better and the food was delicious. Her conversation was pleasant and warm, little did I know that wasn’t the only nice thing about her. As we were getting in my car, she asked if we wanted waters for the road, of course we didn’t want to trouble her anymore as we already had 2 from breakfast. I sat in the car for a moment and thought to myself “THIS is what customer service is about” it’s really unfortunate that this will be our first and last time staying here, but if we could have a CONNIE experience the next time we’d definitely consider it.
This stay was pleasant. The breakfast is one of the main reasons I stay at Hampton. The breakfast ladies are great, friendly and inviting. There was a do not disturb sign in the room. I had to ask for one. My last stay at this hotel (couple of months ago) was for one night. It did not go well. When I arrived there cars parked blocking entrance into hotel. They were parked all along the drive to front door. The parking at this hotel is horrible. There was no remote for tv in room. I went to front desk. The manager said he would try to locate one. He never found one. He did however gave me a free bag of chips when I yet again went to front desk. With service sometimes I find it iffy. The parking is bad also.
I had to cancel my room and masters tickets due to my mother being hospitalized with severe and life threatening health issues. Hilton said they would cancel this for me and understood but the General Manager of the property refused to show any human understanding or sympathy for my situation and refused to cancel the reservation.I think we should support businesses with a heart and not greedy people with no mercyAs if this experience with Hampton could get any worse, my wife and I contracted Covid a week and a half ago which prevented us from going on the trip, anyway. Managment,General Manager Tammy Lewis, still refused to cancel the reservation. I am sure the CDC and the government would not have liked my wife and I flying to the hotel and infecting the airline and their hotel. Again, a total showing of greed and lack of empathy by the hotel management staff.I will tell you that Hilton wanted to cancel this for me but Hampton refused to cancel.
To begin with the guy at the service desk kept walking away from me to do other things while I was checking in. I did a phone reservation that was supposed to be 3 adults and they only put one on the reservation. We were given key cards to a room that hadnt been cleaned when we went to the front desk to have the situation addressed the male at the front desk went and talked to someone and when he came back all he said was it will be a while. No sorry for the inconvenience or anything. I drove over 24 hours and just wanted a place to rest my head. I explained that to him and he said well I dont know what to tell you while giving a clean room to someone who just walked in. Overall it was a bad customer service experience as well as lack of cleanliness. Me and my family will not be recommending this hotel to anyone who wants to come visit the other family members who do live here in Augusta. I wish I could give negative stars after this experience. I am not typically one to complain but this is our right rediculous.
To begin when we arrived the room that we were assigned had several issues. The toilet would not flush, there was something on the carpet that resembled blood, there were not enough towels for 2 people and when we asked the front desk for towels we were told they did not have access to them. We were moved to another room but needless to say, it had issues as well such as the toilet seat being loose, there was trash left in the room including a dip spit bottle, also there were no linen or blankets for the pull out bed we had to actually go out and purchase sheets a blanket and a pillow because once again when we asked the front desk for these items their response was they did not have access. I would have rated a zero but unfortunately, that is not an option. Very disappointed with the staff and lack of accommodations from this particular location.
Room was not good, ceiling over shower had previously leak and noticed fungus. Cabinate Door to refrigerator is broken, coffee machine partially broken. Hall way carpet was very bad, icemake on our floor was not working. When I travel I always prefer Hampton inn and over the years this is the crist Hampton Inn I had a bad experience.
Indoor pool is broken. I specifically rented here for the pool and told them so at check in. They should have informed me the pool was not working properly, that the heater is out. I messed up the date on check in thru the official site and they would not refund even after I stayed 2 nights.
Customer service was good, breakfast was good. Mis represented hot tub, indoor swimming pool. They said the hot tub was not working (as if it could be available at other times) it was cemented in... the pool was indoor but it was closed, from the first day of my 6 day stay; disappointing.
The staff were all wonderful and they all made you feel very welcome. The breakfast was good, the lady that served it was such a sweetie. The room was clean and the bed was a dream to sleep on. My only complaint was we got a room with the jetted tub but the jets did not work. It was still a great soaker tub though. No other complaints at all.
I was working in the area and I made a reservation for that evening and was not told the television service was out so when i got there all there was to do was stare at the walls. When I called to find out why there was no service I was put on hold and ignored every time. I would not recommend staying at this location. I will never stay at a Hampton inn and suites again due to the way I was treated.
For what I paid, over 130 bucks, I expect the pool and sauna to be available. The website said pool and sauna available but, nope. The hotels around us have their pools open, so....? I liken it to going to a restaurant and adding items like cheese, tomato, onion, etc... and they charge you for every little thing BUT if you take something off, no discount. So, if I am paying for amenities, I expect those amenities. I stayed in dump last night in Columbia and their pool was open. The room is clean and spacious but I have two towels. Two. Only two. Check in was 3, I checked in at 3 and had to wait for a room. Parking is an absolute joke & I am not entirely sure where their parking is. Directly across the street the signs state it is waffle house parking only, the main street side of the hotel has approx 12 parking spaces AND an hotel entrance and there are some all the way in the back but no entrance to the hotel so you have to trudge around to the entrance. There is a door to an adjoining room but no safety latch on it.
Very happy with our experience! Mary in the breakfast area is sweet and attentive. We are in a pandemic so there were few towels in the room-we just asked for more and were promptly supplied with towels. At the front desk there was a sign that the pool and hot tub were broken. When we asked about this, we were told we could use the pool at the hotel next door. I was initially very worried about staying here due to so many negative reviews, but it was a nice stay- rooms were clean and comfortable. No problems as others described. Any questions were resolved by asking and solutions were found.Be a good guest and just ask - dont post negative reviews without attempting to solve your own problem.
The room wasnt ready on time. We had to wait 2 hours for them to clean it. After that discovered that the whirlpool bathtub, which we paid extra for didnt work. Also the bathroom door wouldnt shut because the vanity was too big. You cant tell me that this hasnt been brought to the hotels attention. Too lazy to fix it.
I used the app and had my arrival time for 3pm and picked my room on the first floor. I was not allowed to check because they stated they had to clean the room. They also moved my room to the 4th floor. After multiple calls to find out the status of my room, we were finally able to check in over 2 hrs after the time I requested. Check in also starts at 3pm. They stated they cleaned the room but the bathtub still had black stains in it that I was able to wipe with my finger. Why wasnt I allowed to check in for over 2hrs? They obviously didnt clean the tub. We were told to have fresh linen or the room cleaned while we were there, to let the front desk know what we needed. I told them I needed new towels at 8:30am. My wife and I left for the day. Once we returned to the room later that day, we didnt get fresh towels but we did get a newspaper that we didnt request. People would place their trash in the hallways at night. I saw it as early as 7-8pm. Trash would stay there till after 9am the next day. The hallway would smell horrible all night long. We have tried to address these issues with management and cooperate customer service. We stayed there on 7-8 July 2021. As of writing this review on 22 July 2021, we still havent heard from cooperate or the hotel management. I will update this review as soon as we hear from one of them.
This hotel was clean and the staff was very nice. However, the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night. Normally I wouldnt note it because things happen outside of the hotels control. But in this case the alarm going off ROUTINELY HAPPENS when it is cold outside because the pool creates condensation and fog that sets off the alarms. The local fire department said that they they show up there frequently to deal with it. The staff must be used to it because when we complained during our check out they were very nonchalant about it.
The staff is wonderful however the hotel needs work. We found the pool was out of order, the room had HAIR in the bed, on the bathroom floor and in the tub. The toilet needed to be bolted down and there was not one working icemaker in the hotel. The hot buffet breakfast was warming and helped make the stay better. Overall I dont stay in a hotel because of the staff but in this case the staff is the reason they are getting two star.
The had dirty sheets on my bed I took pictures of them and they still tell me that wasn’t nothing wrong with the room after I took pictures showed and emailed . The hotel manager was nasty about and rude and basically told me I put it there myself which is very funny to me why would I but blood on the side of the mattress pad !! They dnt change everything on the bed so please check your rooms first
Positive: This Hampton Inn was the worst HI weve ever stayed. There not a clerk at front desk upon arrival. We had reserved King non smoking. Was assigned room w/2 queen beds. The A/C was so loud Rattling sound that we would not have been able to sleep. Returned Negative: to front desk. Again NO one there. Approx 10 minutes later clerk arrived. Explained the problem and was assigned room on 1st floor. Again no King just 2 queens. Room did not meet standard that we are accustomed to when staying at Hampton.Dirty & roaches
Was pleasantly surprised with the large room but was sadly disappointed when there was no hair dryer or channel guide in the room. The outlet by the beds didnt work. Went swimming and the basement where the pool is located could very easily be mistaken for a haunted house. The pool area had no towels both days we went. A large garbage can was overflowing with trash. The one ladder they have in the pool was missing a step and another was loose. The doors leading outside were open and unlocked even though a sign said they are locked and can only enter with a key. Several people came in without a key. Just pulled on the door and walked in. The one pisitive was front desk staff who were very nice and helpful.
Bed was comfy. There was no parking available, the room was dirty with small hairs on all our towels, bathroom door would not close because of the vanity. They say that the bathrooms were remodeled and the vanity was the wrong size, but apparently they didnt fix the error they just rolled with it. Also the rest of the bathroom was outdated with an old and staimed toilet seat and the shower curtain rod was holding on by 1 screw.
The room was clean but there was lot of promises that they didnt keep. Breakfast was not self served... Well some of it was self served which didnt make any sense. There hot tub hasnt been working for over 2 month and I was looking forward of that which was a huge disappointment. None of this stuff was mentioned on the website
Lack of Pool, Spa, Ice machines even though they were on the web site as amenities was very disappointing. The room was a contractor nightmare of a remodel, would love to post the photos :-) the HI Express next door looked MUCH better, that is where I will be next trip. The room was mostly clean, so if this is your only choice it works, but if you want anything other than the minimum stay look a little further.
I will never again. I stayed at this hotel for at least ,30days.. I barely requested for any room cleaning service, but once in 10days.. For three consecutive days I requested for janitorial service, but no service rendered.. Every time I go to the front desk its an apology from them. Toilets bowl looks disgusting from the water. The water from shower was rusty as mud. Room ceiling looked like there is mold build up. Internet service (WIFI) twas so slow. During my premature check out, they over-charged me more than $1000. Lucky I found out after I had just drove out from the hotel. My credit to the housekeepers who found and returned my earbuds It is not worth it. Look somewhere else
Positive: The hotel is in the area around a lot of restaurants good for walking distances. Negative: cleanliness of both room was horrible, The bathroom was dirty there was hair all over the bathroom, Tub was dirty with mold. Food on floor, hair in room and bathroom. Staffs horrible with mental illness and inexperience. Corporate involved 2nd room same.
I also forgot to mention that while me and my fiancé was waiting on the elevator on the second floor , a houseman or PA was mopping the floor while we was waiting for the elevator and I almost slipped and fell as I walk toward the elevator and one of the female employees stopped the elevator to tell him that he was not suppose to be mopping the floors while we the guest were standing there and plus there was no wet floor sign up … just ridiculous
Poor lighting and parking. Staff wasnt the most welcoming. Housekeeping knocked 4 times before check-out. Mold on bathroom ceiling. As a Diamond member, this was a bit disappointing compared to the other Hilton hotels Ive visited. Cant say my family and I will return to this location.
While the staff of this hotel were, without exception, very friendly, our hotel room left much to be desired. We more or less learned tp adjust to an air-conditioner which we could not shut off and the lumpy mattress did not bother us during the daylight hours when we were up, but when the handle of the bathroom faucet comes off in your hand for want of a screw, and the handle of the bathtub faucet comes off because that screw is not tight enough, you are left with a feeling that maintenance is not a high priority. And anyone in the room could watch you struggle with loose handles because a recent remodel included a bathroom countertop that was so large the bathroom door could not be closed. Our impression of this facility might have been better had someone actually showed up during our stay with even one little screw in hand to fix that faucet!
Worst hotel experience i ever had. Always stay at Hampton Inn with hilton honors. Came back to room after being out all day only to find it wasnt serviced. Went to desk to inquire and was told we had to have requested service before 9am due to covid. This was first we were hearing this information. It was now 830pm. Asked if we could at least have some clean towels and wash clothes. She stated they didnt have any..This was our last stay at a Hilton hotel. Every time we made reservations our hilton honors account was messed up.
The staff was very helpful and friendly. They seemed to be understaffed, severely. The room was ok, dated, some disrepair. See photos. Closet door was cockeyed and couldnt be put back on track. Some genius decided to put the 70s style towel holder in position to block part of the sink. Towels were in short supply too. They also have a shortage of parking.
A very nice hotel conveniently located off I-20, with plenty of restaurants nearby and its close to Fort Gordon. The staff is friendly, the lobby was clean, and the room was clean and comfortable. The parking lot on the East side of the hotel is very small, but theres a larger lot on the West side.
The hotel is old. You cant get them to clean your room even if you ask multiple times. The buffet is a joke. The staff just doesnt care, well I take that back, they care about what is on their phones because they look at that more than helping guests. There are much better hotels and even Hampton Inns in the Augusta area. Do NOT recommend, one of the worst hotels I have stayed at.
This was one of the worst Hampton Inns I have ever stayed in. SO disappointed in the cleanliness of this place. One room reeked of smoke. We had to ask for towels in our rooms. There was only a fitted sheet on the bed - no top sheet. This is not the usual that we expect from Hampton Inn.
I stayed here for 23 nights! The rooms were what you would expect from Hampton. Nothing to complain about. The room service was by request only due to COVID, however, we received fresh towels and other commodities as needed. The room service staff was very nice and never hesitated when we needed things. The front desk staff were amazing, I had to have stuff printed and they were always willing to help. Even though they saw me almost daily, they greeted me like it was my first time coming in. I commend the manager, Ryan and his staff for their customer service and willingness to go above and beyond for their hotel guest. While we stayed, the breakfast opened up after being shut down for COVID. Miss Connie was absolutely amazing. You can tell she takes pride in her job, with all the personal touches in the breakfast area. She made small treat bags (mentos and small candies) for the guest, just because she could! Her customer service was impeccable and she treated everyone with dignity and respect. Even during the rushes and last minute grab and goes. There is a laundry facility, we used it twice with no issue. The gym is simple but has what you need to get by. The pool is indoors and is simple enough to entertain children when they are getting bored in the room. All in all, I would like to extend my gratitude to the staff for making our stay so good! We appreciate your patience and would definitely recommend that others stay here.
Room is spacious and the bed is comfy, but thats where it ends. Two different rooms on different floors, and the shower/tub doesnt work in either one, with one only having hot water, making it unable to even take a shower. Staff is incompetent, telling you to address your problems with management, whom then are never in regardless of time of day, according to same staff. Otherwise,. maintenance all around the hotel is way below anyones standard.Update:Added a star as we embed up staying till management finely came back to work. They end up providing a generous discount for all the issues along with an apology. So I have to credit that they at least acknowledged the problems.
I was here for work, for a few weeks, the staff was friendly and the room was fine other than some annoying gnats in the room and the shower head didnt have much water pressure, but the jetted tub was very nice, and the bed was better than most hotels but not like my memory foam at home. It had a weird empty space toward the side of the closet, that wasnt really accessible, unless you crawl down the narrow length, because its in between the bathroom sink and the sink coming in the door. And the dresser was the TV stand. One side had a cabinet with two shelves, the other side had 3 drawers, but only one drawer was really accessible because the other two were blocked by the a/c unit.My problems were, when I checked in, I specifically stated that I would be sleeping during the day and working at night and asked for the room to be cleaned each Saturday afternoon, that I would make it a point to get up early on Saturday (which was my only night off each week), the first Saturday I called after I got up to let them know they could send someone, the next Saturday when I called I was told that my room was not on the schedule and no one was available, that they could come the next day. I told them that I would be sleeping the next day until approximately 4pm and then would be getting ready for work, leaving around 5pm. I was told the cleaning staff didnt clean past 5pm and she stated that she would have to talk to the manager. A few hours later the oncoming night clerk (same one that checked me in two weeks prior) came and gave me new towels and personally changed my sheets and took my trash and apologized for the mistake. She said she wasnt sure how I didnt get on the list (with covid, they are only cleaning rooms on as requested schedule or after check out)Another issue I had, when I checked in I asked to pay by the week, which I have done at every other hotel Ive stayed for work, however here, there were multiple pending charges each week for different amounts on my bank account, which all reduced my available bank account balance for several days each week. The first charge that fully posted to my bank was for almost 2 weeks, then I was getting more pending charges again. This put a financial burden on me, due to having to have enough money for them charging for the 2 weeks, the extra pending charges each week, and to cover food and gas for work. I had requested weekly payments to allow budgeting for everything and for me to get another paycheck before checking out. It ended up I checked out earlier than originally planned, due to work reduced our time by a week so I was going home early. It has been now 2 days since Ive left and I STILL have pending charges, and the last amount I should have been charged has finally posted as of today, but I dont know why Im still seeing pending charges which Im not happy about. Also since I was sleeping during the day, for the most part I was not disturbed, however when the cleaning staff was anywhere near my end of the hall, all I could hear was them banging the doors as they propped open the door, or letting the door bang close on the security latch so it doesnt close all the way, for them to go in and out to clean, and this woke me up almost daily. I had the occasional neighbor that regardless of my sleeping sign, still slammed doors and had loud voices that carried and woke me up on a few occasions. One other negative, there is very little parking the way the hotel sits. There are approximately 10-15 spots in the front of the hotel, a few people parallel parked on the side (where the entrance is), there are parking spaces behind the hotel, but lets face it, security wise, thats a nightmare in the making... I wouldnt park behind the hotel unless I had some kind of protection in hand, and Im not sure but I dont think the back entry door goes to the main floor as it sits lower than the rest of the property.Overall, it was a decent stay, conveniently located near restaurants and a neighborhood market Walmart, but I probably wont stay here again.
Returned in January of 2020 and the hotel has been remodeled and its so much better. We stayed in a one room suite and the layout is roomy and extremely comfortable. Connie runs the morning breakfast and she is the kindest, sweetest person, she is a bright light to any morning and will put a smile on your face, no matter what is going on. The entire staff are very friendly and it feels like coming home. Perfect location within walking distance to several restaurants and bar as well as convenient stores. The rooms are clean, comfortable and roomy. The hotel staff are wonderful, very friendly and accommodating. They serve free cooked breakfast from 6:00 AM until 10:00 AM. The hotel has an indoor pool and whirlpool as well as a work out room. I highly recommend this hotel.
This was a particularly disappointing and substandard Hampton Inn. I realize Hampton Inns are nowhere near the top of the Hilton line, but this one felt more like a Red Roof Inn.There was an immediate damp smell in the lobby upon entry. It disappeared on the floor of my room, but the room felt damp. Not wanting to use the bed spread (this was the only blanket on the bed), I opted for the spare blanket from the closet. It had obviously been used, as it was not properly folded and the zip bag containing it was not zipped shut. Hmm..Aside from the overall run down appearance of the hotel, no water was offered upon check in. There were no hand wipe packets in the room (as there were in the other two Hampton Inns Ive stayed at this week), and there seemed to be no mask enforcement in the lobby. I appreciate that the rooms have stickers indicating they are sanitized, but little effort has been made to remove the previous stickers (see pics). Overall, this was a pretty sad representation of the Hilton brand.
The room was extremely spacious and beds comfortable. They are following CDC guidelines for Covid19. I appreciate the extra cleaniness and Every one wore mask while in lobby and elevator.. Will stay again. Only wish i had a hilton rewards membership to save a few dollars.. Good price nice atmosphere
Currently staying the weekend for my sons swim meet. We happened to get the handicapped room which is a nice because of the big bathroom. However, there was dried urine drops on the top and bottom of the toilet seat. I cleaned it as I didnt have time to wait on room service. I let the front desk know. Also the jacuzzi isnt really a hot tub more like a warm bath, which was a bit disappointing. We are having breakfast soon, hoping my kids will enjoy that.
This was the worst Hampton we have stayed. The curtain was falling off the window, would not close. I left a note to ask room service if it could be replaced. We came back to the room at 6, room had not been cleaned, our dirty linens was still on the floor. We had reserved a king size bed,we got 2 queens. The bathroom was dirty I wiped it down with my hand wipes. Unexceptable, will never stay there again.
Stayed for a nice get away and was very pleased with this Hotel. Ryan Goss was a very informative and very nice guy at checking in. Such great first impression. The studio suite was absolutely beautiful and so comfortable. Everything was spot on and clean. Definitely will be coming back for another get away.
Reserved a spa room 3 weeks early for my 9 year anniversary and when I got there they didnt have my room then tried to put me in a regular room FOR THE SAME PRICE. I said no they tried to charge a cancellation fee I flipped out in that hotel 🤣 needless to say they DID NOT GET A CANCELLATION FEE and we went to the Hilton Garden Inn!
This is one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The staff is very friendly, yes, but that is the only good thing I have to say about it.The building is old and poorly kept; there are leaks in the ceiling from rain and outer elements (one day after rain, we came out of the room to find buckets filling the hallway to catch water drops from the ceiling), cracks in the floors of hallways, elevators and common areas, there is major construction going on that blocks off multiple entrance/ exit ways for the building. For the week that I’ve been here, there has been an emergency alarm (being tested) that goes off at random times and all through the night. The manager called my room to ensure me that it would not happen again, but last night, it went off three more times, the latest being around 10 p.m.!!!!!!!!!! It’s not something you can sleep through and it woke me up every time. There have been multiple occasions where I come in to the parking lot and every single Diamond Club parking spot has been taken. I know for a fact that not all of these cars belong to diamond members, because lots of maintenance and construction trucks park there too. As a legit diamond member, I like to have the rights to my perks because THATS WHAT I PAY FOR. The hotel needs to do a better job of monitoring and taking care of their diamond members!!!!I paid in full for 9 nights at this hotel because the hotel had told me that I can’t make any changes to the reservation (ok?) once made. Then I find that there was a charge to my credit card without my knowledge or consent and was told by the hotel operator (who are all rude by the way!!!) that it was from the night audit. I paid in full for my room in the amount given to me at the time that I made the reservation - why am I suddenly getting a charge from the night audit? The operator, of course, was rude and extremely unhelpful. This is the worst Hilton-anything I’ve ever stayed at - I’m going to be staying far, far away after my stay and you should too!!!!!
I have not one negative thing to say about my stay here. The staff go above and beyond. Their compassion isnt put on or forced. Its genuine. The rooms are very clean. Bed extremely comfortable. Accommodating in every way you could possibly ask. Shout out to Logan for virtually saving my life. Shout out to Denise who is wise beyond her years, and always helping out in any way possible. Also a phenomenal listener and confidant. The rates are also very fair and stays locked in. They will forever have my business. 💙
Nice sized queen suite. No separate bedroom which is a bummer of you have kids and wanted to separate yourselves a little bit. Breakfast area was neat, organized, and plentiful. Indoor pool clean and orderly. You are allowed to use Holiday Inn Outdoor Pool and Laundry facility which helps make this Hampton Inn have a lot more amenities than a normal hotel. Clean and great staff.
I have stayed at Hampton all over the country on business so I reserved a room for my wife to use while visiting our granddaughters who are with their father at Ft. Gordon. She is totally displeased with this location. From roaches in the pool area to large pieces of ceiling missing to the furniture falling apart. According to staff they are remodeling. If so why put people in the old run down rooms, especially customer who are Hilton Honors members. She is very upset and I am thinking about changing my upcoming reservations in Wisconsin to Holiday Inn. Or at least discount the rooms that are in such poor shape. We paid normal price for a piece of s**t room. I just stayed 3 days at Hilton properties in Missouri and the rooms were perfect. She asked for me to reserve Hampton particularly due to all the great rooms we have stayed in over the years. This location is putting a terrible name to her as she sees it representing the whole chain. I expect to get some type of response and will be contacting Hilton directly about the extremely poor quality of this location.
I was greeted immediately. Staff was very welcoming. They had an evening social with free wine/beer along with some food available to eat. The room was very clean, however the building is looking dated along with some obvious repairs. Very hot shower with excellent water pressure. The breakfast was not as diverse as i am used to from a Hampton Inn. It was hot and of course the waffles were available as always. No fresh fruit. I would however stay here again.
We stayed here after finding most hotels were booked for the days needed for our stay. We paid about $143/night. We stayed for 4 nights. Upon arrival the lobby was clean and updated. Staff was friendly, no issues checking in. Luggage cart had a flat tire and was hard to maneuver but it was ok. We stayed in an updated King bed jacuzzi suite on the 4th floor. There was a basketball tournament in town. There was a lot of noise in the hall by our room but usually quieted down around 11pm. The room was clean, well presented, spacious, and no odors. The sheer curtain was tearing away from the track on one of the windows but no huge deal for us. Bed was comfortable and clean. No bugs. Our mattresses looked new and were enclosed in a zippered cover. Plenty of chargers by the bed and USB plugs, lamp in both side of bed. Clean linens. The couch bed was a bit uncomfortable as it would not lay completely flat. Maybe I didn’t operate it properly but sofa beds are pretty self explanatory. Plenty of towels and wash cloths. Bathroom was clean. Surprisingly the tub had some damage even though the room looks very new. Didn’t affect anything for us however. Plenty of hot water and toiletries left in room for us. AC worked great. Was controlled by a wall thermostat. There was a nice big desk with a chair and TV and more charging plugs. Lots of drawers for storage and a pretty big closet for a hotel. We had a coffee maker, fridge, microwave, kitchen sink, hair dryer, iron, ironing board. There is always coffee in the lobby. The breakfast was pretty good. The earlier you go the better. Area was clean and good selection. Juices, cereals, boiled eggs, waffles, pastries a hot selection of the day, oatmeal, yogurt etc. we ate breakfast here each day. There is a Cracker Barrel and Waffle House close by as well. Lots of restaurants, gas stations, etc nearby. Easy to get anywhere due to being close to interstate etc. Minor road noise noted in the room. No issues with room service. Parking was ok, no issues. The pool was ok but could use better supervision. The first night we were there it was pretty empty. The pool was clean. The hot tub water did not look clean so we avoided it. The second night the same, no towels at pool. There were several teen boys who came to the window at the indoor pool and asked us to let them in at 9:30pm. They said they didn’t have a key. It seems This area is not monitored. There are several neighboring hotels at the back of the hotel. The pool is located in the lower area of the hotel and there are 3 doors to enter the pool. There are also windows open that allows bugs to come in. We had quite a few bug bites. The third night was not good. There was a very large group (30-40 people) at the pool with very loud music playing and people were swimming in their underwear, shirts, shorts, clothing etc and were very loud. We stayed for a short time but left because it was unbearably loud with screaming and loud music. Again, no towels at the pool. The hot tub was gross. I’d recommend better supervision or oversight of the pool area.
I would give it zero stars if I could I checked in and told the front counter from the start I was only there to swim so 15 minutes before the time given to swim they call and said the pool would be done for maintenance so we asked for a refund and they said we could gladly swim next door well that didn’t happen either because you had grown adults drinking and throwing bottles in the pool and they had blunts smoking in front of their children and I was not allowing it in front of my children. I suggest if you are not partying than you don’t want to stay at Hampton or Holiday Inn on jimmy dyess not family friendly ,not clean, all ice makers out of order, spa not working, pool shut down and no manager on duty after 5pm and supposedly no way to contact them
I will never stay at this hotel again. The breakfast was terrible and the help not very helpful.I have stayed at Hampton Inn for over 6 years now off and on throughout the country for work. Some of my work is construction, and therefore I have to move along with the schedule. Typically I can check out even past 2 most times and still not be charged because they can get the room ready. This is the only place I have had that charged me for the room because they could not Resell the room. They can kiss my butt. So much for a loyalty program. If anybody wants my points then they can have them.Again....Do not stay at this hotel!!!!
The rooms were somewhat clean and the hotel was in a decent location. There are several restaurants and shopping in the nearby area that are just a short drive. The hotel seemed like it needs to be updated in some areas. My hotel tub had jets in the tub which was very relaxing and I have found that to be rare in my travels. I would stay here again.
We love this hotel when visiting family in Augusta. Our third time here and always a great stay. Clean hotel, rooms, bathrooms, and dining area. Food is good and kept hot. Dining area looked over by two nice ladies. Be sure to use the online check-in as it saves so much time. Will stay here again.
My husband and I stayed May 1st & 2nd at this Hampton Inn. Front Desk Clerk was very nice, friendly and very professional. The room was clean, spacious and smelled good. Everyone work there was very, very helpful and nice. This is one of the best Hampton Inn that we have stayed. Im a Hilton Honors member and was recognized as one. When we checked out a different clerk but the same nice friendly attitude.
I know this is out of the ordinary; however, my wife in I checked in on August 28, 2018 and had made reservation for a king bed with a jacuzzi. After being there for a few hours, I went to fill the jacuzzi with hot water and there was none. I called the front desk and they said they didn’t have any hot water since the morning. They said their maintenance man ordered the part and it wouldn’t be there until Monday. No hot water for the entire hotel. Something that we should have known before checking in. We weren’t charged for the room. We had to pack up and move to Holliday Inn nearby. The desk clerk was very apologetic and tried to find us another Hampton Inn or Hilton Honors Property with a jacuzzi, but there were known to find. I think we will give up our Hilton Honors membership and join IHG Holiday Inn members.
This Hotel was amazing!! The outside of the hotel is kept up nice. Inside the Hampton Inn hotel was also very clean and modern looking. They take pride in keeping up on this location. Our cousin Lesslie Cobb works at this location and she helped with our booking. So for the most part, she was the reason why we stayed at this hotel. But the hotel itself and the employees will be the reason why we will keep the Hampton Inn Hotel as our go to hotel. They have free breakfast in the morning and its truly awesome! Hot waffles made to order. Fruit, cereal, yogurt, hot coffee all day long. Our room was exceptional!! Im a very picky OCD person and I was very impressed! The bathtub was a huge Jacuzzi. The maid service was great and they actually cleaned our room every day we were there, which was 4 days. Most hotels dont clean your room while you are there more than one day unless you ask them. The overall experience was amazing and I cant say enough about this Hotel and our stay. I didnt get the names of any of the employees (I will for sure next time) but for all the employees that were working at the Augusta, Georgia Hampton Inn location the weekend of January 4th-7th...you guys were great and thank you for making my family and I comfortable during our stay and our hard time of grieving. Room 206 and 220 appreciated your services!! See you guys soon!
Staff (Clarressa and Benton in maintenance) are fantastic... this hotel is outdated and has a odor. Beds are like a brick just sitting on them. Rooms have a damp feeling. Thank goodness I keep a bottle febreeze in my travel bag. I used a half a bottle on 2 different rooms.
This is a great hotel right in between Ft. Gordon and downtown Augusta. The staff was very nice, and the rooms were clean. The breakfast area is pretty neat. The fitness center issmall. They have two treadmills, one elliptical, and weights. The heated pool is nice and clean and theirs a hot tub.All in all, it is a great hotel. I will certainly be back.
The location was great- very convenient to the freeway- the rooms were clean but very dated- we had to be moved because our faucet in the shower was broken so we had no hot water which was a pain, but they moved us without any issues. The employees were mostly nice, especially the maintenance dude Walter- the breakfast was a little disappointing for a Hampton- usually they go all out but at this location it was like they sort of went bare bones and didnt serve much.
Our stay was fantastic, the room was clean and spacious, the shower had great pressure, the free breakfast was very good except for the eggs... We would have given them 5 stars but getting into our room was a bit of a hassle, we made a reservation over the phone to check in that same day we were told the reservation would be emailed to us and given a specific rate for a king room. We got there and the computers had been down and they couldnt find our reservation and they were sold out of king rooms... It took A LOT of back and forth to be given the king suite at the same price that we were promised for the king room. We understand that it was more expensive but it was not our fault the computers were down for hours and our room had been given to someone else. Either way once that was figured out our stat was perfect!
Great place except for the fact that housekeeping acted like they were mad about having to actually CLEAN the bed linens after we left even though we basically cleaned up everything else to save them the trouble. Tried to say wed stained the linens so badly that they were unusable when they hadnt even laundered them yet. Which was a complete lie because I know for a fact that a little bit of blood can be cleaned without much effort. They just didnt wanna have to wash everything and change the linens which makes me think that they probably arent changing them after most of the guests leave which totally grossed me out. But other than that it was awesome.
Hotel was convenient as it was down the highway from Ft Gordons main gate. The free breakfast was good and hot. Though after 2 weeks the same items being eaten gets monotonous. Parking was limited. If you dint time it right youll be parking in the rear of the hotel. Plenty of restaurants around the hotek, both within walking and very short driving distance. If youre bothered by the noises of cars and trucks, I suggest you ask for a room at the back half of the hotel. It does award Hilton Honors points.
First of all Goggles map app directs you about half a mile past hotel.Drive up and parking were very crowded. Hotel is sandwiched in between other establishments.Staff for checkin were very nice and helpful. Even with the clerk training checkin was quick and handled very well. They made you feel welcome and wanted to please. Room was nice and clean. Only issue mornings food selection was less than desirable nothing was bad but expected more
I am a big fan of Hampton Inn. Have stayed several times in several locations. Logan was awsome! I am rating this with 1 star because of customer service with management! Had family stay 11/12/16 a few girls. On return home we found a bed bug on NEW material bought that day! I politely called and notified them. I did NOT make a big fuss and was VERY professional. Today the manager called and was rude! Saying how nasty the room was left, how it was too many people, that really they should have been put out. Everything except the real issue. This is not good for business.
This is a very tired Hampton Inn. The floors in the rooms are sticky. The light bulbs were broken and hanging out of the socket, the bathroom faucett was so loose that you could not use it and the shower head dis not work well. The carpet in the hallways was worn out and there is an overall mildewy.smell throughout the hotel. Will not stay at this hotel again.
The rooms are a little old, and somewhat operational. Thats not to say that everythings broken, but you may need to call for a service request or two.The beautiful thing is the staff and service is Five Star .They are responsive and always looking to better serve you. I wouldnt mind staying here again.
Feels like low end hotel, dim lighting and poor WiFi connection. 0130 or 130AM an attempted was made trying to enter our room. Lucky the perpetrator did not get into the enter room. Unfortunately it did wake our baby. Unsatisfactory, not a safe place for you or your family. When we brought this to the attention to the staff they did not care or have concerns for the safety of my family, stay away.
Hotel staff is amazing. Rooms came with a microwave and fridge (which was amazing cause I have 2 babies, bottles and milk). Rooms were so clean and so was the bathroom. We had a very small hiccup but they fixed it and when we go back to GA we are staying here. Loved every minute of my stay at this hotel. Thank you hampton inn family. Yall are truly wonderful. The MacKinley Family

2022-06-27Overall, we had a good stay. The room was very spacious and clean. We didnt check in until 2am and did have to wait about 10 minutes for the night clerk to come to the desk to check us in. We stayed in a room with 2 queen beds and a sofa bed since we were traveling with our kids, but the room only had two towels. When we asked for more towels at the desk, we were told that housekeeping would be bringing them to us, but no one ever showed up. Luckily, housekeeping was cleaning a room down the hall. She was very helpful and gave us towels.

2022-06-25I travel for work every week and am a Hilton Honors Diamond member.I advanced paid for the room 2 weeks in advance and when I checked in I was charged for the room again. The front desk was no help, as I went to them multiple times asking for help and they went from trying to gaslight me into telling me the duplicate charges was just for incidentals to telling me to call their corporate office because, although the charge was from them, theres nothing they could do to fix. Front desk was also extremely rude. Had to beg for water that comes with being a diamond member.Asked to speak to manager but they had no idea when manager would arrive, maybe after 1pm or so on weekdays? Finally got to speak to manager (after waiting for about 20 minutes when I could hear her around the corner) a week later and she made promises to deal with issue and contact me but never did. Finally their corporate office fixed 3 weeks afterwards. So, the actual room isnt that bad for the price; its an older place but my room was clean. But not worth the terrible customer service or double paying for the room or lack of follow up.There are other places to stay in the area that care about their customers. You can do better than this place.

2022-05-11Everything was neat and clean. The staff was absolutely wonderful. A special thanks to Connie though, who made breakfast, for going over and beyond the call of duty. She was so helpful and polite. She made it feel like we were at home away from home. She was so delightful and caring, that well be staying there in the future. Thank you.

2022-02-28If you are a regular to Hilton and accustomed to high customer service, do not stay at this hotel. My room had no toilet paper holder, toilet paper or wash clothes. I had to request these items twice from the front desk attendant who was engrossed in his phone. There is limited parking with some of the parking area in the back and dimly lit. The front desk was not well staffed and I usually had to wait from service. The cleanliness was so questionable that I skipped the breakfast. Hilton would do well to remove this hotel from its listing.

2022-06-20The staff members I interacted with were all very nice. Housekeeping was horrible. While unpacking I discovered hair on the sink, the last guests soap in the shower, and a used paper plate in a cabinet. Someone came to clean the bathroom but left the plate. 2 days later I requested Housekeeping, no one came. Requested the following day. Again, no housekeeping. Went to the front desk for fresh towels and requested housekeeping again. I made my housekeeping request again the follwing morning and housekeeping did finally make a visit.

2022-05-09We stay at a lot of Hilton properties. This is an older Hampton that has been renovated. It was clean and inviting. The best part was the staff from check in to housekeeping to the breakfast staff. They were friendly, helpful, and hard working.

2022-06-01When we got there, there was No parking. We parked in an area we thought was for the hotel. When When went out in the daylight it said parking for Waffle house only. Thankfully we were not towed. We got in late Friday, showered and went to bed which was really cozy by saving grace. We saved our towels to shower the following day. That evening I went to the front desk to get fresh towel. Was told by a lady with no expression, there were no towels available, as housekeeping was gone home.... If i only had thought to pack my own linens....I have NEVERseen so much change in the hospitality industry. I think I will buy a camper and just use my own room and linens next time. Your industry is slacking!!!!wake up people.

2022-03-09Here for a wedding, the entire wedding party was at the same hotel. I that was amazing! Breakfast was out of this world!!! Cook was kind she kept things clean and neat. My bed was comfy even though we had to share it. Our original room someone smoked in it and they only had a king with a let out bed. But, had no sheets available.

2022-03-05This is the worst Hampton Ive ever stayed at. The keys I was given didnt work at first, but that issue was resolved after I went back downstairs. Lightbulbs in my room were out, the room didnt seem clean and the trash hadnt been emptied from the precious person staying there. I wasnt given any towels and the heat/AC was broken. Also the phone wasnt hooked up so I couldnt call the front desk. The bed and sheets were clean, but the walls and ceiling were splattered with something. The ceiling had been partially spray painted to cover up the splatters.

2022-05-01Was told we would have joining rooms when I made the reservation and we did not. Staff was extremely rude. We choose this location because it had an indoor pool, all to find out when we got there it was closed. I ask about the pool when making the reservation and no one informed us that it was closed. Air conditioner in the room made a screeching noise all night. We asked for a late check out, which is a perk of being a Diamond member, they said they do not do late check outs. We asked for a pack in play and they did not have that. This is by far the worst Hilton experience we have ever had. O out of 5 stars.
