Made a reservation that was non refundable of about $200. when i went to check in, the doors were locked, and the front desk looked at me and my husband like we were crazy. i said we were trying to check in, and he immediately cut me off, saying they were fully booked and how we looked homeless. i explained to him we paid two hundred dollars for our room, only for him to say we couldn’t check in until the next night. we ended up having to book another place for the night and fighting with the agency to get our money back. with this kind of service i’ll take sleeping in my car over this place. very very rude staff.
We had a family crisis, two weeks ago. My experience with Hampton Inn, Savannah, was pretty amazing. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The Staff went above and beyond to ease my burdens. I am very appreciative of the people that cleaned my room, the breakfast people and the people at the front desk. Thank you all!!
Pretty nice spot for the price. Sad they didn’t have Keurigs in the rooms, just the small single serve coffee pots, and the coffee wasn’t that hot either… but besides that, the room was clean, had a nice walk in shower. The room had a countertop with a microwave, a sink, and a fridge. Another thing, the only parking is in a detached parking garage, it’s just inconvenient, but I’m not complaining too much - at least there’s parking.
The hotel was severely overpriced considering the overall run-down condition of the property. We had to request a change of sheets and more toilet paper just hours after the room was supposedly made up. Nothing like making you beg for the cheapest toilet paper on the planet to make for an enjoyable stay. The shower head was half plugged up and when I reported this on day 2 of our 4 day stay, there was no attempt to correct it. Any handy man could have swapped it out in 5 minutes, but they obviously dont care about their customers. The staff were OK, but not on the friendly side. The plumbing fixtures were near the end of life, being overly stiff to operate. My wife complained about hearing every shower and toilet flush in the building! I will be avoiding Hilton properties for a while after this disappointing visit. The end tables by the bed had beverage rings on them that I wiped off. The lamp next to the bed was very dusty.A coffee cup lid that fit the cups would have been nice. I gave up trying to put the lid on to prevent crushing the cup. The plastic tableware was all but useless - so thin and flimsy that I thought I was on a hidden camera prank show. Seriously, spend a nickel more and provide something usable. Even better provide stainless flatware and wash it to avoid more plastic waste.
Upon arrival we requested a luggage cart and the response was we cant find it. When asked if there is only one cart in the entire hotel we were offered the bin they use for collection of soiled linens by Bruce... Unacceptable!!!! On our last evening at the hotel, arriving back from the beach, I stopped at the front desk to inquire if food we had ordered through UberEats had arrived. The front desk attendant, Jaye stated she had been trying to call me several times. I informed her that my cell phone never rang. Jaye stated she call the room and didnt have time to look up my cellphone number because she is all by herself. I asked for an extra blanket and Bruce gave us a an unlined duvet cover. When I told Bruce this is not a blanket, we asked for a blanket, his response was well yall can leave. I returned to the front desk to ask to speak to the manager on duty. Jaye states there is no manager on duty. I see why I dont stay at less than 4 star hotels and I have certainly learned my lesson. This is far beyond what any paying customer should experience. Following, I stopped at the front desk to obtain a copy of my stay to review for fear of being charged for anything extra based on how I was treated and was informed the supervisor Shaneisha was available for me to inform regarding my experience. After informing Shaneisha, her response was ok. This is clearly the response of someone who will not be doing anything for this customer to even consider returning.
Decent breakfast and good sized room . However walls are too thin and difficult to get good sleep if you are light sleeper . But the worst part was being unprofessional when I had left a fire tv stick in the room . I called in a few hours time and had to keep calling them multiple times through the next day to get a reply from them.even though they claimed no guest had been to that room, I was told the item was not found in the room.
Big zero!!!! I was treated with no respect and service is below minus and if you needed something you better go down and get it no one will come to bring it as normal 2star room service hotel will provide. One more thing, no cleaning room, pick trash or changing sheets unless u fight for it!!! DONT U EVER COME HERE … Oh forget to mention that no one works here care about “how was your stay”! Dont burn your money and pay it to this hotel, you will hate yourself!!!!!!!
The quality of this Particular Hampton Inn hotel (Hampton Inn & Suites Savannah/Midtown) has been quite noticeably downgraded since the last time I stayed there. The room refrigerator has been replaced with a smaller cheaper one, the microwave was no longer in the room, the furniture were looking old and worn out, the office chair was worn out and did not go up or down and the room did not look and feel clean. Additionally the internet service was very erratic and could not recognize the SAVMD4 code provided by the front desk. The breakfast variety offered was limited, i.e. : only white bread and white/plain bagels - no whole wheat or any other choices offered, ...obviously going cheap unfortunately!I will now have to make sure to look for another hotel to stay the next time I need to go to Savannah for business/to see clients or for vacation.
Pretty good for the decent price. Staff were great and its 10 minutes from downtown Savannah. There is a BS parking fee of $7+ that no one tells you about until you check out. (Booked not on their site). Staff were friendly though. The hotel is in a good spot but just a block away is....well....not a walk through area. Overall worth it!
Pleasant enough staff. Below par cleaning of rooms, peeling paint, and mold growing in bathroom.Close kitchen early before breakfast is over so food unavailable up to 20 minutes prior to stated 10am.Expect keys not to work, cards or digital. Was an issue entire stay.We LOVE Hampton Inns, not this one.
We had a really good experience here. Breakfast was provided every morning and was pretty good. I will say that the doors slam pretty hard and we could hear people coming and going a lot during the night. Staff was very friendly though, our bed was comfortable, and I enjoyed this hotel much more than the 4 star hotel I stayed at in Atlanta just days prior.
Im a seasoned Hilton Brand rewards member. I only stay at Hilton brands - 99% of the time it works for me. This is the 1% that it failed at its name. I messaged Charmaine at the front desk multiple times in an effort to resolve the issue. She said she would forward my complaint to the manager. I was expecting to hear back....but I got nothing. We arrived to the hotel at 7 pmAnd Checked into our room that wasnt cleaned. I mean It wasnt serviced at all that day.The front desk said that they were completely booked and we needed to wait until our room was serviced.Well - We wait 1.5 hours and they offered us another room. Which i thought the hotel was completely booked, so I didnt get that. Even our new room was worn and not Hampton cleaned. We stepped off the elevator and was greeted by an old, worn table in the hallway area. (See picture)It wasnt a pleasant experience and shocked at the lack of prompt attentiveness in addressing this matter by management. Did they even care. I messaged them and waited several days for their response. I got nothing. The arriving at 7 and finally getting a room at 8:30 pm is not a Hilton brand value.Super disappointed and will never stay at this location again.
Hampton Inn really disappointed me. On the first night, the receptionist was very nice and respectful. Then things went downhill. As me and my father rode the elevator up to our room, it was in service and working properly. We then had to run to the store, and we were going to take the elevator again. The elevator never came, so we had to take the stairs. At our return, the receptionist told us the elevator was being worked on, and there was no issue with that. The elevator continued to not work that whole day. The next day, we were going for breakfast, and it worked in the morning. Again, it stopped working towards the end of the day. This really disappointed me. The elevator finally started working the next day, and then the power went out. Unfortunately the whole block had a few power outages. Although this isn’t your fault, I expected someone to come and let us know what was going on. The 3rd time the power went out, it was out for almost 2 hours. After the first hour the emergency lights came on. We left to get flashlights and candles. At our return, no one was at the front desk. No one was downstairs trying to let guests know that there was a power outage on the block. Our room key didn’t like to work majority of the time, either. To add insult to injury, we never got room service until the day we checked out. That means me and my father went 3 days without room service. I am very disappointed since everywhere I travel, I’m either at a Hilton Inn or Hampton Inn. These issues are making me lose a lot of trust and respect for your company.
This hotel is very nice. The problem we had was that the hotel rented a meeting room to a very loud party. We could hear the DJ and the loud music. Our room vibrated with the thumping of the music from about 6:30 until 11:10pm. Several people were complaining, but we were only told it would be over at 11:00. I called the 800 number and was told we could check out, but we would still owe for that night. They told us we would not owe for the next 3 nights we had booked. I laughed at their generous offer. Later the next day we did get a call that we were refunded for that noisy night. I dont understand a hotel renting a room for a noisy party when there are guests right above trying to rest and sleep!! Im thankful that the rest of our stay was enjoyable.
This is my first time here, and my first night. The room is nice, clean and quiet. I really like the digital key entry. The people at the front desk was really polite and helpful. Its not real close to the old section of Savanah but the drive there is not bad and the price is cheaper here versus down in the historical section. Unless you really want to stay in the historical section of Savanah, I would highly recommend staying here.
My cousin and I really enjoyed our time at your hotel. We felt safe. The staff was available to assist us with our needs. They impressed us with their pleasant attitudes; we received kindness from start to finish. It was hard getting up some days, the mattresses were so comfy, we slept in a little! Thank you for four restful days. Lets do this again.
Friendly staff and the location is amazing! It’s so close to so many things without paying the big price to stay downtown. The rooms are clean and the beds are so comfortable. We had the queen suites and they are very large. We rented 2 rooms and the staff was very accommodating to our needs. When we come back to the area we will book here again. The breakfast is a grab and go. The staff all wore masks and I felt comfortable in the establishment. It was quiet in our room we didn’t hear any neighbors. I would have given this 5 stars, but there’s a few cosmetic things that should be done in the bathroom.
Pros: Good location and beautiful roomsCons: Does not inform guests when a party is being held on their floor. The party-goers were loud in the hall for hours from 8pm to 1am. Called the front desk twice with nothing obviously done. No apologies or an offer to make things right.
I did my review in Hotels.com as well.I mentioned the daily $7.00 parking fee. There is One elevator from garage to the first floor to walk to the hotels side door entrance. No camaras or security. The Beds are comfortable if only one person is resting. Breakfast is good.
Bed sheets were not changed, clearly can see the previous guest slept in it and bed was made over the wrinkled sheets with a bad smell on the pillows. Hotel never communicated that parking was $7 a day where other hotels have free parking, The positive aspect of our group stay was the breakfast which was very good.
Everything is fine. Both elevators working.Room was fineEverything seems clean.Normal Hampton Inn breakfast.Plenty of parking in adjacent parking garage, share with another hotel, though it costs $7/night.Basically, except for paying for parking, a very normal Hampton Inn experience. 👍
This hotel is okay. We had issues with our room key and were informed that they do not do any kind of late check in, if we left late we would have to pay for another day. When we were leaving the next morning it was around 10:45a and as we are walking out the door we see house keeping standing right outside of our door like we were taking too long.We just felt a little rushed. The beds were comfortable though.
Our stay here was okay. The staff were decent. We found nails in our room, the bathroom wasnt properly cleaned, the bedding wasnt clean and the room curtain was too thin and let in too much light at night. We had to ask the front desk for clips to hold the curtains together. The breakfast was nice and had hot breakfast. You could make your own waffles and coffee and water is available 24 hours. There isnt room cleaning due to covid and you have to call the front desk to take the trash. We called twice and they didnt pick up our trash. This is a great location. Its 33 minutes from Tybee Beach and very close to downtown. I know finding good workers or any workers is hard these days so Im not going to judge too harshly.
Its very irritating that you have to pay an additional fee per night to park your own car. Yes, it is stated on their website. I still think its shady. Youre required to park on site so why not just include it in the total room cost?Downtown charges you to valet and you can choose to self park on the street for free. Nothing wrong there. But here they just want to charge you extra because you dont have any other option.I recommend staying downtown. Its not much more per night and the rooms are better kept.
Staff is polite, professional and provided good customer service. Dont be fooled by the pictures, the room furniture was old. Both elevators were out if service on our second night, had to walk up five flights of stairs. Parking deck elevator is disgusting smelled like urine.
Booked this hotel because of indoor pool..may as well been outside..it was freezing..could not use..charge you 7$ to park..in there parking lot...found fritos on floor when we entered room.....I think there prices are to high for the location..15 minutes from downtown..wont be back..or recommend to friends.
My husband and I stayed the weekend of 8/20-8/22. The hotel overall was good. Im very upset because housekeeping knocked and literally just came right in, they didnt give me a chance to respond, and I didnt have any clothes on at all, when I told them at the front desk, their only response was, I told them that you had late check out, they shouldnt have came in your room. After looking at some of the other reviews, I see Im not the only person that they violated. We wont be staying there anymore
First of all, my first thought was to put 1, however, each time I have stay at a Hampton inn and suites has been satisfactory except for this recent stay. I traveled from Atlanta to Savannah on 10/29/21 and did not arrive until 11:45 p.m. so I was too exhausted to do a complete assessment of the room prior to settling down for the night. Nevertheless, the room appeared to be cleaned but the comforters or blankets on the beds were not as neat as previous stays. There was a brown dirty spot approximately the size of a quarter on one of the comforter, which I putted off and use the blanket which was in the closet until the housekeeper brought a clean one. In the bathroom, there was a long strain of hair in bathtub, and hair inside one of the coffee tops. There was a night light plugged in one of the outlet in bathroom which has a nickel size brown spot which looked like coffee on the cover portion and moderate amount spilled coffee or something which was brown all over the back of the bathroom door. I was able to clean the whole bathtub with Lysol which I always take with me. All of this was reported to the front desk, as well as my disgust especially since we do have an issue with Covid-19.
Positive: The customer service at the front desk. Negative: We brought some microwave popcorn with us because a microwave was listed as an amenity, but the microwave was in the lobby, so we had to leave our room and go down to the lobby to use the microwave there. Not a big deal, just a little inconvenient.
Very disappointed in the cleanliness. Walking to our room, the second floor smelled like sewage. There was a hair ball on the bathroom floor. The bed was a mess and the fitted sheet was inside out, so the seams and tag were showing and what we were sleeping on. I shared the details regarding our room with the front desk staff and was told there was nothing they could do other than send someone to get the hair clump out of the bathroom. I was also told there is something wrong with the hotel sheets and sometimes they turn inside out, but she can ensure the sheets were washed.
We stayed for one night as we were able to find a hotel in the historic district. The room was relatively clean, a few hairs on the tub but nothing gross. I thought paying to park was a bit ridiculous but it is what it is. Check in was slow as there were some issues with the family before us regarding hotels.com (we had the same issues). All 4 people at the front desk was trying to figure it out rather than help other guests check-in. The GM finally helped and got them and then us situated. The breakfast was all gone when we got downstairs and it was before the cut off time .If I wanted to stay in midtown Savannah, I would stay here again.
Microwaves are only in suites, which I completely missed while booking. My first time travelling with a baby and I planned to use the microwave to sterilze the bottles. Only one microwave in the lobby, if the hotel is encouraging safety this is a high contact point and no hand sanitizer beside it. If they want to distinguish suites from regular rooms they could give them a keurig machine or something. Most hand sanitizer stations are empty. Room service is not provided during your stay (for safety) but barely any toilet paper was left on the roll so I had to walk to the front desk to ask for toilet paper. I encourage leaving enough trash bags and toiletries in the rooms. Breakfast was good, not too crowded and tables spaced. Mask optional for vaccinated guest and staff but who’s checking? I brought breakfast to my room just to be safe, it was cold by them time I got there and again no microwave.
We had the best experience at this establishment. The manager at the front desk was very attentive and helpful. I felt safe here with my family. Rooms were comfortable. Breakfast was neatly displayed downstairs. It was boxed which is excellent to reduce the spread of germs. But I sure do miss the hot breakfast. We will definitely return. It was a beautiful, clean hotel.
Best thing was the bed. Very very comfortable. Hotel itself is older, so found stains on door knobs, shower doors and other places. There was a large group staying there that had severL young children running around with no masks and no shoes. The adults in the group werent wearing masks either. Management could do a better job of enforcing policies during pandemic to make sure All guests are comfortable during their stay.
For the money that we paid I was very disappointed and it was not worth it. This was the first Hampton Inn that I’ve stayed at in which I was very disappointed and prior to COVID I traveled often for my job. The room did not have a microwave in it and the breakfast selections were limited. Unfortunately they did not have waffles and the hot breakfast consisted of two items to choose from, a meat and or egg item. The molding on the bathroom shower door looked like it had mold on it and the pillows were uncomfortable and too soft. Unfortunately I did not realize that we had to pay $7.00 a a day for parking. The elevator in the parking garage was very dirty. We stayed for two nights and plan to return to Savannah, but will not stay there. However all of the staff were very nice.
Our bed cover had someone’s long hair on it. Found a few strands of it. The sheets had a dirty spot on the side like someone had an accident. The shower door didn’t shut and there was black mold in the shower. Room 317 for the shower door. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of parking.
It was the most terrible experience ever.We were 5 night and 6 days and the room was clean only 1 time. This information should have been in the reservation. The day the room was clean (3 days after we checked in) they forgot the towels so they decided to leave them out of the room in front of the door in a plastic bag right on the floor. The parking was not included in the reservation. I don’t understand why if we are in the hotel we have to pay parking. The 3rd day after we checked in we needed more soap and new towels, so we had to go downstairs and pick it up.The breakfast was terrible, not because it was served in a box.The bed sheets were never changed and I assumed the mattress was bigger than the sheets because they didn’t fit, so we practically slept in bare mattresses. The pillows are terrible and the mattress was like a hole in the middle.
I was a little disturbed that there was a 7 dollar parking fee per day to stay at the hotel. I had to pay $$$ to park my car everywhere but Mcdonalds and Wallgreens. Never seen anything like it anywhere else. It will factor into my decision to visit this area again. All things considered... A very nice city with very nice people.
I have to say I was very shocked when I walked in to this hotel. See Im an ex employee of a Hampton Inn I would have never greeted my Guest in such a unprofessional matter. I am not one that takes being talked to and treated rudely. Your hotel overall needs to be thoroughly cleaned we paid over $800 to stay there for 4 days not worth it.100% Guaranteed. Someone forgot to use their Hamptonality.I want stay there again.
Average hotel, nothing really stood out about it.The rooms were spacious, beds were ok, the staff was kind and the location was good too.The elevators were a bit dirty and there was a marihuana and cigarette smell around the parking garage and thats why Im not giving it 5 stars. Its a good hotel to spend a few nights when traveling to Savannah. No breakfast. Their grab-n-go bags were a joke
As much as the room cost they shouldve been a microwave in there and a lil foyer area with a sofa. Then they had the coffee maker in the bathroom. Room was small for the price. They took forever to bring towels when u was trying to get ready in the morning n be out to run errands.
Room is oldFurniture is oldHorrible green walls lime green lampArt on walls don’t match anythingDoor sticks going into roomHook on back of door in bathroom brokenAc door brokenWall paper around tub is peelingNo maid service because we were not staying 4 nights… I should have been told that when I checked in…come get your towels. I have a attitude at the front deskBreakfast is s joke! Single serve OJ must have been purchased at a grocery store - horrible!I cooked a slice of toast twice never got brown… all they had was liquid butter in a plastic bottle. Girl working breakfast comes out of kitchen loudly saying do not block the door!I have sold food as a roadline to all hotels fir over15 years…This is not Hampton standards…
I had a really good time here. The place was clean and affordable. They have breakfast in the morning and an indoor swimming pool; which I enjoyed very much. So thank you for that! They also have a gym with easy access and plenty of space to work out. So if you are ever in the area stay here if you need a place.
$7 for parking? This hotel is not in the city or high traffic area. Breakfast was very limited due to Covid. They could at least put out the continental breakfast stuff. Everything else was fine as usual, but felt a little let down by some small stuff. No coffee in the early evening. Cold and almost empty.
A very nice hotel. However the attendant on duty told us they had a air borne blood pathogen a few months prior, which is still scary. But over all a nice hotel. With friendly staff and very helpful. The fitness center is a very good one with multiple pieces of equipment to use. The beds are nice and soft. The pillows are all fluffy and soft. The over night stay was great. The breakfast was very nice. I very much enjoyed my stay. And will return.
The location is great. Its near a lot of historic places. The room is wonderful, clean, and cool. Service is awesome. They brought us more towels and washcloths within 5-10 minutes of asking. My only reason for giving it a 4 is because the pool was not available for our entire stay. However, they were willing to refund the money and they also provided other options for us to have free access to a pool. Even though the pool was closed, I am glad we stayed anyway. The staff really tried their best to accommodate us.
Ms Jessica at the front desk very helpful. Ms. Shanisha(may have spelled her name wrong), I talked to her on the phone, at the front desk amazing. Very clean. Great location.... However, the manager is rude and disrespectful. I have never stayed at Hilton and my room was pre authorized. And hey ok I can take that. But what I cant let slide is the fact that when he called me from a number I didnt recognize that I finally decided to answer, the first thing he says is if you dont contact us we are cancelling your room. He didnt say hello mam, this is the manager and I wanted to speak with you about your room. His first sentence was if I dont contact them my room will be cancelled. At that point I responded back to him. He kept cutting me off and I advise that Hilton has standards and dont treat their people the way he is talking to me. His customer service is way off. I asked for someone above him and he stated their is nobody else. I advise him that I will not be speaking to him and give me somebody else. He gave me Ms. Shanisha. She took my payment because it was never about the money. It was about how he first approached me when I answered. You dont tell anybody off the gate their room is going to be cancelled. You approach with respect and calmly advise protocol..... I love Hilton but this manager was unacceptable.
Rooms dont look like whats advertised. I checked in and the rooms look very outdated, bedding out dated and worn out and room was small. House keeping gave a us a sneak peak of the other rooms that was slightly larger due to the fact we had our two daughters. When I went down stairs to see if could switch to either of the two that housekeeping said was available the owner (indian descent) started loud talking me was very rude. When I said I would checkout the next day he said I wouldnt find anything else in Savannah. It appears to me that he was upset because I paid in full weeks prior to spring break and now th rates are higher than what I paid. If its one thing I cant stand is bad service as if theyre doing us a favor I expect better from Hampton.
Weve stayed at multiple Hampton Inns over the years and they are usually pretty good. Some better than others. This one was just OK. Spent 3 nights. Bed was never made, toiletries never replenished. Breakfast was just OK. I understand it was a busy weekend but running out of coffee? No excuse. And the hallway carpets could really use a cleaning. No reason to see the same flosser laying on the floor for 4 days. Disappointed in this location.
Room was quiet and clean. Front lobby was the problem. Some lady was verbally harassing and cursing anyone around, including my wife that was outside having a smoke. Staff did nothing to stop her. They just said she had a cab coming but this went on about an hour that we were aware. Never staying at a Hilton property again.
We found roaches in the room as soon as we got there. I found the spare blanket in the closet and it had nasty stains and holes. One of the pillows was also soiled. We tried to sleep but there were other guests partying outside past midnight so we could hear all the noise and we were on the 4th floor. I was surprised Management didn’t intervene for the other guests that were trying to rest. We were also disappointed to find their pool is closed. They had a good variety of breakfast but other careless guests made a mess of the eating area. No organization and it’s evident the staff or management could care less. People pay hundreds of dollars for one night. We should have better service than this Hampton Inn. I would NOT recommend anyone to stay here.
Beds are comphy, room is clean, but no microwave in room and you have to use the one in the lobby, breakfast hot foods were nasty, staff in the afternoon was rude and should be replaced, when you pay this much to stay somewhere you shouldnt have to worry about unclassy staff.
Rooms are entered even with a do not disturb sign on door. General Manager Gotham went from no one entered due to the do not disturb sign to stating they can enter even if you have the notice on your door. I understand that error can be made however own them instead of making excuses
They use covid as to why they didnt clean our room and bring clean towels. Saying we had to request cleaning. FYI before covid if staying at a hotel for 2 nights or more you had to request any way. 🙋🏾 they were short staff and lied about requirements to get our room clean and give us clean towels.
Hampton Inn Savannah GA MidownThis property is in serious need of a remodel. The TVs are small and dont have streaming services. The bathroom was very nasty to me. Guess also has to pay for parking.I stayed during a weekend that had kids all over the hotel. The kids were out of control running around making loud noises. This behavior was very disrespectful to paiding customers. This is not a propety I will visit again.
To be fair, I want to kind of rate each aspect separately...Friendliness of the staff- 5 stars. There wasnt one person who worked there that was unhelpful or anything less than friendly.Location- 3 stars. How you view the property when you arrive depends on which road you came into it from. Its not a horrible location, but if what youre looking for is a place that drops you in the middle of what there is to do in Savannah, its not really that kind of place. Its a suitable hotel for a quick stay, but if youre destination is Savannah, its not the best option for convenience towards what you would want to do there.Free Breakfast- 4 stars. Its way more than the old bagel and cream cheese set up, there is cooked breakfast available, as well as waffles, cereal, bagels if you want them, milk, orange juice... lots of food. The day I went was missing biscuits and gravy. The Room- 3 stars. It wasnt awful, but I think the up job market left a casualty on housekeeping. We found a broken hair brush under our bed, and found that despite cleaning the bowl and base of the toilet, the toilet seat was not cleaned, still containing a couple drops of urine and a couple of pubic hairs. The shower head did not want to adjust to a normal spray, and a screw from the grab bar inside the tub fell out onto the shower floor. Lastly, the power outlet by the bed was not working at any point in the stay. It was obvious to us that someone had cleaned the room, but it was also obvious that some stuff was being missed. It shouldnt reflect on the friendliness of any employee, but I think that perhaps the cleaning staff would benefit an extra minute or two per room to check stuff like this. We travel prepared for stuff like that to happen, but some people go ape over the smallest of details.Overall- a high 3 star rating, with a little work to do. I think the building is aging to a point where maintenance is going to have to step in more often.
I stayed here years ago and I was please. But now I was extremely disappointed. We drove 4 1/2 hours. Our room was dirty, dirty is not the word for it....the carpet was stained, shower and sink wasnt cleaned. Plus the dust on the furniture was noticeable. I call down to change room and the room she gave us was not better. The breakfast was cold and the juice water down. We were going to stay at The River Inn but I stayed this hotel was great....WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT !!!. I will NEVER stay here again NEVER. People dont waste your time.
This hotel was the perfect place to stay on a budget. It was about 15 to the historical district and we were able to save money staying alil farther out. Check in was really easy and breakfast was really nice. Our room was clean and there wasnt any musty smell which is nice for such a humid area. The staff went above and beyond. We needed an umbrella because we were going to a show and was dressed nice but it was pouring rain and one of the staff let us borrow one. I would definitely stay here again.
This hotel is one of the cleanest that I have visited. Free breakfast, however not a full meal, but a good offer of items. The servers are friendly and helpful. The front desk attendants are friendly and helpful. Shuttle service from hotel to welcome center available and the front desk arranged this for us. However the last return is early (4:30). From the welcome center tours can be arranged. There is also free parking. We had a suite, that included twin queen beds , let out sofa, refrigerator and microwave. The room was large with wet bar. I highly recommend this hotel. My only small complain is that the room carpeting is slightly worn.
Other than the Legionnaires, my most recent stay was pretty good. Staff was friendly, breakfast was awesome, room and pools were nice as well. My family and I enjoyed our three night stay. It was annoying to go downstairs to use a microwave. Not a fan of the room coffee maker location either. I was disappointed about being notified of the legionnaires disease incident at time of check instead of when I called the night before. My business discount has a 24 hour turnaround which would have made it difficult to change hotels not to mention my itinerary. As a healthcare professional I had a nervous but not scary stay.
Location is good, hotel itself was nice, room was clean, breakfast was good, and staff was nice. The walls were a little thin so neighbors were easily heard. The room could not get cool enough. Don’t leave anything behind! I accidently left a bluetooth speaker. Getting in touch with someone about it was very difficult. It was apparently found. Then they charged me $20 to ship it back to me, even though it only cost around $2-3. I never did get that speaker back.
My husband and I stayed on two separate nights ( Friday and Sunday). We got the same room big nights. I loved the room! It was very spacious and clean! The refrigerator worked and kept our drinks cold. Breakfast was good and had plenty of variety. Breakfast items were well stocked even at 9:30 in the morning.
The hotel was clean and the customer service was good. I asked for a refrigerator to be brought to our room and the did everything they could to be accommodating to our needs. The hotel is situated several miles from all of the downtown Savannah historical architectural sights, riverfront, restaurants, and local shopping. There are some restaurants and grocery stores that are within walking distance if you dont mind crossing busy streets. We had to find parking areas to pay for parking when we did go downtown to eat, shop, and walk along the riverfront. Perhaps if I had paid a little extra for the hotel rooms closer to the riverfront, I wouldve saved on gas and paying for parking. For me, I would rather be in walking distance of all the local amenities and flair that I wanted to enjoy. However, the quality of the hotel service, decor, and cleanliness was great and I wouldnt mind staying there again. If you dont mind driving a few minutes to get to the tourist sights and paying for parking, this hotel will be suitable for you. There is plenty of parking and covered parking available at the hotel.I felt safe walking in the parking lot. Security and electronic locking systems were in place. We had a whirlpool bathtub in our room that was separate from the bathroom. We enjoyed it and didnt even go to the public pool/jacuzzi that the hotel had. There is no view from the room. This area is in a little more of an industrial part of town. The breakfast bar was pretty good and convenient. They had several food choices and beverages to choose from. I was happily surprised. There was plenty of seating and they didnt mind that I took a plate up to my husband when he wasnt feeling well enough to attend the breakfast area.If you are on a budget, this hotel is great for the value.
First of all I want to say this review is not about the staff at all. That being said at the end of the day its about the rooms and this hotel is not good. The lobby/common area is nice...the rooms are awful. They have made small adjustments in the bathrooms to update but the rooms themselves are straight out of the 80s...and not in the cool Stranger Things throwback way. It is clean but small and dingy looking rooms. Neither my wife or I would walk around barefoot on this carpet, Im sure it was lovely 25 years ago.Being in such a touristy area has given this hotel the opportunity to charge for low quality. I feel bad for tourists as this quality does not match the price.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious with a comfy couch, bed was a bit firm for my liking, and there was no in room safe. There were two usb ports available for charging phones/tablets. The only parking is in a parking deck and it is fairly dark in the deck during the day because the lights are off. They have a free breakfast from 6-10am and all day coffee.
The hotel was disappointing in many ways. One, the area by the hotel is not good. No where to go and not that safe. Two, the breakfast area was very poor. Most items were not replenished and the area was not kept clean. Better off eating somewhere else. Three, I parked in garage and my car had tape and scratches on it the next day. Overall, would definitely not stay here again.
Overall is a reasonable place. Breakfast was fine, with nice breakfast and reception staff. Well maintained pool and location is nice. Rooms were clean, and room service could improve, such as not storming in at 5 pm. Some people who work here seem to have a bad attitude.
Very disappointing. Room was small, no window treatments except for a dark shade, refrigerator sitting on top of desk. No extra seating. I realized that the hotel is remodeling but to charge me $260.00 a night I think I deserved better or a reduced price for the inconvenience. Not only that but the night we used the pool & hot tub we found the floor was littered with Sunflower Seed Hulls and something black maybe Banana peel? The chlorine was so strong in the pool that is RUINED our Bathing Suits - bleached out the color so bad I have to throw them out. Generally we have always enjoyed our stays at Hampton Inns and have been loyal customers but this one makes me what to think twice before booking another stay with this brand.
Would not recommend staying here. My family and I stayed here for a week and had multiple problems. First, they do water tests once a month with no notification to guests even though the water company lets them know what rooms will be tested. They also enter rooms with do not disturb signs, do not inform you of their intent to enter, or announce themselves when they do enter. I had seen the office staff multiple times that morning going in an out yet they decided to come right in when I am putting my baby down for a nap. After entering the room multiple times while I was trying to put my daughter down for a nap, they called the room but I didn’t answer because my baby had just fallen asleep. The lady from the water company stated they had the room numbers when they arrived that morning at 9am. They entered my room at 12:30 without notifying me. Secondly, after returning to our room after dinner one night our entire room wreaked of marijuana. My husband informed the front desk and nothing was done but forcing us to move rooms. They did not come check where it was coming from, to see how bad it was, etc. We were the ones that were inconvenienced to move all of our stuff with a sleeping baby. Meanwhile we asked to speak to the manager about it and were told she would be in at 7am the next day. We waited until 11am to speak with her before we checked out and she never showed up. My husband asked for her to call us and she has not. My husband has called every day to speak to her and somehow she is busy or away every single time. We’ve asked for her to return our call and she still refuses to acknowledge us. This was the absolute worst experience we’ve ever had at a hotel. Do not stay here whatsoever!
Wish I could give zero stars. Staff was extremely rude. Contacted them about 11 pm about a deafening water sound (like a jacuzzi) overhead. It ran continuously and we could not sleep. The maintenance man could not believe the noise and said he would move us. We packed up and waited. After an hour the front desk said they will not move us. They did not have the decency to call.Avoid this place. They really dont care
Clean, accessible, friendly - just what we needed. The late pool hours were much appreciated and offered a therapeutic end to our day. Major kudos to Nicole from Mondays night shift - she was able to read out moods perfectly and delivered the exact service we needed: super hospitable, diligent and all together a fabulous person to work with. Thank you so very much!
I love that they text you ahead of time and check on any requests or questions you have. Corin was very helpful and made sure to handle the noise situation we had with a loud, sick child. Only complaint I have was that the breakfast crew did not greet any of us and just somewhat stared at us. Even the manager on duty didnt seem to acknowledge us. It would be nice if they had some form of gluten free items on the breakfast bar. Overall a good stay, mostly because of the friendly front desk.
Girl Scout troop visited Savannah for 1 night. Great experience at this hotel. Rooms were very clean and beds comfortable. Breakfast was good with plenty of seating. Would highly recommend hotel. My only complaints were 1) the curtains would not close so we woke up with the sun rise (7:00 AM) and 2) there were no blankets for the roll away bed. However, the staff provided once we called in the request.
The Hampton inn &Suites was a very nice place to spend my days there the entire staff was very considerate and helpful they made me feel welcome The Hampton in Savannah GA. And the Hampton in Jacksonville FL both where five stars hotel in my opinion the Hampton in Beaufort is other thing the front desk staff all shift was not pleasant toward me and the hallways could used more lighting I. Will not make reservations there ever againI will give Beaufort Hampton a two star Hampton in Savannah GA and Jacksonville FL five stars
Pleasant stay. The downsides are cleanliness leaves a bit to be desired, dirty linens and toilet bowl. Additionally, while the internet is free, the speed is horrendously slow and after one device registered t room number, had to call the front desk. Lastly, breakfast is complimentary but the eggs and bacon were cold, they ran out of cereal. Apple juice was delicious. We enjoyed the location but thought it was overpriced for what we received.
TLDR: I had a payed and confirmed booking. They gave my reserved room away without contacting me, leaving my family stranded in the middle of the night.Dont book with Hampton Inn!!! I had one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a hotel. I booked and payed for the hotel room over three weeks in advance, and I received multiple emails confirming my reservation. When I got to the hotel the night of my booking with my family after driving for over 8 hours, the person working at the desk told me: I am sorry but we are oversold and the problem is that we dont have a room for your family.I double checked with her and my confirmed booking was in their computer system, they just decided to give my room away. I didnt get a single phone call to let know that they gave my reserved room away.My family and I had to frantically call nearby hotels to see if they had availability, all were booked except one that had received a recent cancelation. I ended up spending a lot more money which didnt matter at that point, because after such a long drive we were just happy to get a room to sleep in.Stay away from this business!!!
I stayed at Hampton Inn & Suites for a short get-away with both my kids. Check-in was quick and easy. The front desk employees were professional and friendly when checking in. It was Easter weekend, and they were very helpful in informing me of all the festivities in the area for the weekend. Once I got in and got settled, they checked back with me to ensure the room was up to my standards and to make sure I didnt have any problems with the room. The room was clean. The bed was very comfortable. It is about 10-15 minutes from the downtown district, which I like because the downtown traffic can be a nightmare. But downtown is easily accessible from here. I visited Tybee as well, which is about a 30 minute drive from the hotel. The breakfast was great. Savannah is my new home away from home. I will definitely be back! You cant beat the price and the cleanliness!
A good place with decent rooms & a 5-star staff. A recent outbreak of legionnaires disease affected the hotel & caused a little discomfort with the most recent stay. I received a follow up from management ensuring all was good (and to their credit someone brought it to them) but nonetheless, a less than desirable stay. Otherwise they are normally top notch.
I very much enjoyed my stay with this hotel! The rooms and restroom was large, beds were comfortable and the Neutrogena products were great! Customer service was great checkin/out. They let me leave my car in the lot after I checked out while I finished up my seminar in the hotel next door. Breakfast was great! Waffles and oatmeal with all the toppings. Biscuits, sausages, eggs, and all the normal hot breakfast times where there too. There wasnt a pitcher of water laid out but the room attendant brought me some anyways. Very close to shopping centers and the Mall. Id definitely stay again. There was some construction but it wasnt loud nor disturbed my stay. Thanks to Brandon and the other ladies who helped me during my stay.
The room was expensive for 1 night. Clean room but just average.Breakfest was just average. A family reunion was in that night and they were not ready to handle breakfest. They kept running out of food and you had to wait. No place to sit because the number of people
Staff is very friendly and everything looks okay on surface level, but it didn’t take much to see that the room has not been cleaned well or updated. Mold in the shower, strands of hair in the shower and on the bathroom store, desk was sticky, stained carpet, and more...lights flickered in elevator. Can tell walls haven’t been wiped down and are visibly dirty. Sheets and pillow cases seemed clean, but I probably wouldn’t take a black light to it.
The place is a bit beat up. The beds are hard, some like that, I didnt and could not sleep. The hvac is leaking causing rings on the ceilings and dripping sounds. The A/C unit smelled like it was on fire. The hot tub was so nice, but the pool was very, very disgusting and the Ph levels must have been through the roof. The breakfast wasnt bad and the coffee was pretty great, but all in all, I wish I would have stayed somewhere else. The photos I supplied was of my room in the bathroom. I took these photos of the rot, mold, and broken tile and door to the front desk and they had little to say otherthan that they would have maintenance look at it.This was a disappointment.
A good quiet place near to downtown savannah and other attractions. I was stoping there for a night with my family of 3. The front desk lady was nice and provided with a top floor room on request. The room spacious, beds comfortable. The room had some strange smell (its more of a personal preference that I did not like the room odor)and on request was provided with a room freshener. The room had a mini freeze but no microwave. On inquiry found the microwave is not provided for standard rooms and I have to use one provided in the breakfast area. The breakfast is ok with limited options. The hotel has a adjacent parking deck of 3 floors. Did not use the pool. Missed the vibe of the downtown savannah area. I was staying only for a night, so dont mind the quiet surrounding.
2021: So my previous review was 4 years ago, and this one may not be as flattering.I hate to state this but this hotel has regressed. I called as a diamond member, yeah I spend so much time in hotels it actually comes with a title...lol. No seriously, I called ahead to make sure my room has a refrigerator because the picture of the room on Hiltons website does not show nor mentions a refrigerator. The very friendly (centralized) operator confirmed the room has a refrigerator....whoop woop!! Great!Unfortunately I forgot to ask about a bloody microwave????? Why? Because I have stayed in over a hundred different hotels in the last 3 years and besides ANY high rise hotel on the Las Vegas strip there have NEVER been a hotel that DOES NOT offer a microwave standard with a room whether on the first or 10th floor. What the fudge owner??????I will NOT stay at this hotel again, the Hilton Garden Inn next door looks way more attractive even at $20 more a night. What a bloody shame. Oh, and by the way, the breakfast sucks bad.2017: $20 cheaper then across the street, and very nice. Super friendly staff, clean, comfortable, good job.
My Friends who Cassie me in Savannah and also have doctors appointments here love this Hampton. All the staff knows then and gets them cordially. They great me when I show you to meet them door a meal, and offer me a cup of coffee or a cookie. They say the breakfast is nice and got and the rooms are lovely . If youre coming for a visit dont pay the high prices for downtown. Stay at midtown and ride a his or Uber. Youll be glad
Queen beds are not comfortable. Peculiar furniture arrangement. Ottomans for chairs. The small refrigerator is noisy and is bothersome when you are sleeping. The air conditioning didn’t work well. When we turned it on it gave off a burnt smell. Room wasn’t clean. Some dirty spots in the bathroom and the floor was dirty too. The mirror glass in the closet door dirty. Also the carpet in the room. Housekeeping ladies are so loud in the early morning when guest are still sleeping. People at front desk were very nice especially when we checked out.
We booked this hotel online and when we arrive it was nothing like advertised. There were signs saying the hotel is not responsible for anything that may happen to a car parked on there property. The neighborhood looked like a demilitarized zone and the staff and management were incompetent and rude. We did not feel safe there so we left and went to a real hotel. I will never again book or stay at another Hilton hotel.
Very nice hotel. Only thing that wasnt pleasent was that you can tell the house keeping team does not keep an eye in details. There was an open medication pill packet under the desk that I noticed when I stepped on it barefoot. Also the bathroom mirror was not cleaned properly with greasy smear marks.
I made an advance purchase at this hotel and read the reviews later-and started to worry. Turns out this hotel was very good. Friendly staff (and friendly guests), clean lobby and room, and a decent (free) breakfast with lots of choices. No surprises. Was it a $100 breakfast-no. Was it a good value-yes.
My family and I stayed at this Hampton Inn on 20 Johnson Street Savannah Georgia in February 2019 traveling from Va. The hotel is very nice and the staff was very friendly. At check in my husband paid cash for our King suite in his name and asked for a card to put on the room for damages which is normal and I used my card. However 2 weeks later my credit card was charged again for the same amount for the stay. I have called several times to speak with a manager only to be told once I finally spoke to her that they would look into it. I have yet to be reimbursed or given an explanation for the bogus charges. At check in I even asked the desk clerk if it mattered that the room and the card had different names because I didnt want it to be any confusion and as you see it happened anyway. The management staff has acted in a very unprofessional manner concerning this matter. I now have to get my bank involve to dispute the charges which could have easily been resolved. I will not stay at this hotel again while visiting Savannah Ga.
This place is great ! They have hot coffee 24/7. Serve a big breakfast from 6am to 9am. Laundry facilities, pool, whirlpool I mean this place has it all. Im a corporate trainer for Jasons deli we do a lot of traveling to stay in a lot of hotels and we use this company a lot.
When a family member had a medical emergency while we were at Tybee Island for vacation, my mom and I stayed here, which is only a mile & a half from the hospital. The staff were very accommodating. Rooms dont normally come with microwaves, but when we asked for one, they found one and put it in our room for us. Our room came with a refrigerator , which I believe is standard. This came in handy, since we were living out of our suitcases and restaurants.Housekeeping could have used a little improvement. Our towels and washcloths werent replaced every time they were needed, and one day, we had to ask the front desk for new washcloths after asking housekeeping staff twice before that.Breakfasts were decent, and this is one of the major reasons why we decided to keep staying here, as opposed to finding something that would have been just a little bit cheaper. They actually serve hot food. Similar to any place like this, the scrambled eggs were a little bit questionable. But there was a different kind of meat every morning, boiled eggs were abundant, the fruit was decent, coffee was good, and I enjoyed the oatmeal. The Wi-fi worked perfectly fine, and I was able to get some work done that was necessary.Bottom line: This was a perfect place to stay in the midst of a crazy family emergency, and despite the minor problems, I would stay here again. I would certainly recommend it for the price we paid per night, which was very reasonable.
Not the cleanest hotel. The bathtub had long strands of hair that were clearly not mine. The wifi was not reliable, and they ran out of butter at breakfast. Who runs completely out of butter at breakfast? Honestly, there are so many hotels in the area, you may be better off going elsewhere.
Hotel was well located to all parts of Savannah. Wi-fi unusable due to speed. Breakfast was normal offer and average quality for this price range. Staff all seemed nice. Hotel and rooms were very clean, with a very mild musty smell occasionally in room. Outside noise from hall and adjacent parking lots was loud at times. Overall an above average stay, with a few minor issues.
Parking is free and easy entrance into hotel , breakfast included and has a large variety of hot and cold foods , available 24 hours is coffee, tea and hot chocolate , rooms are LARGE and plenty of room with couch , microwave , coffee maker and refrigerator. Step in shower is large but if you need to bathe small children our rooms didnt have a bath tub. The front desk really helped us out on Christmas as we couldnt find anything open. Front desk provided a list of restaurants open which included address, hours open and phone numbers .
My husband and I are silver members and we love Hampton Inn. I must say we will never come here again. Guest services and the room was perfect as usual . At breakfast on the 20th was a zoo. I think there was a family reunion going on. Other guests couldnt find anywhere to sit, the food was cold because the lids were left up, one young man took the syrup to his table and thats where it stayed. A maid was on the elevator with a cart and invited people to get on. Two people did. For us to ever consider this location again, some changes must be made with staff and breakfast room etiquette. Had this been our first Hampton Inn stay, we would NEVER go to another one. We hope some changes will be made. We love Hampton Inn. This one had occurrences that left us feeling very disappointed.~Pascal & Janice Poirier Florida
I stay at this hampton not by choice but obligation. This is my 3rd time and Ive never left here being 100% satisfied . My daughters travel team comes from florida and by the rules of the tournament this is the hotel that chosen for us. Our first time there was a brown stain on one of the bed sheets, second stay the hot tub had a brown slimey rin all around it and this time we booked a queen double bed room and took it upon themselves to change my room to a single king bed for 3 people!. When I complained and showed my confirmed reservation the said that was all they had left. I told them I wanted to be switched to the room I paid for the next day, and wanted to be compensated for the inconvenience. They moved us but after speaking to 3 different people and never getting a confirmation for the discount, they told me at checkout that it was not approved by Corin because sale made the switch and they didnt know why and I would have to take it up with them!. I pointed out the plaque that they proudly display at the check in counter and the front desk shrugged her shoulders and said that she didnt get the authorization to give me a discount for my horrible night stay. This hotel has great breakfast, but customer satisfaction and cleanliness is not their strong suit.
I booked this place specifically for the indoor pool. The first night we got here, its suddenly broken. Upon check in, Jackie was RUDE! Felt very unwelcomed. Got to the room, pulled back the fresh made bed only to find hair in both beds on the sheets. When i tried to hook the wifi, on the instructions i was given, it was not working. So i called the front desk. Only to be laughed at because there system is screwed up. Hardly professional. If this place was in a customer service competition it would fail miserably! Breakfast and distance of walking to a few places to eat are the only reason this place gets 2 stars. I have never had so many problems out of hampton inns before. And if you arent going to have the full amenities available then a percent of the payment should be refunded. This will be the last time I stay with Hampton inn and any sister hotels.
With all Hampton /Hilton Hotels, the experience is incredible. Staff super friendly, breakfast delicious and if you forget something during your stay, they can help get you what you need (brush, toothbrush, razors, etc)I only wish there was more parking available. The parking garage isnt an appropriate size to accommodate the amount of guests but that is my one and only complaint. I wouldnt stay any where else.
They are currently undergoing renovations. However they have the best front desk staff! They are definitely going above and beyond to make sure you have a comfortable visit, from recommendations on where to eat and what places are the best to explore. They made our quick girls trip away very memorable! I cant wait to return and see everything finished!
First time to this hotel. The visit was a group event. We were greeted and assisted promptly and friendly upon arrival. During all the stay, everyone was friendly, helpful, and seemed to care about our comfort and stay and satisfaction. The Manager, Felton, was just wonderful. He was very pleasant and gave us good information about the town, surrounding restaurants, things to do and offered his assistance with any plans or planning we might have during our stay. He seems to care about the people staying at the hotel. Francisco, the nice young gentleman at the breakfast area, was fabulous. He was pleasant, came out of the kitchen and greeted us each morning and was always asking if everything was o.k. or if he could do anything for us. Was willing to go above and beyond his duties. I have never had anyone that prepares the breakfast to come out and talk with everyone and make sure all is o.k. Great asset to the hotel. Oh, the breakfast was tasty, good variety and we all were greatly impressed and enjoyed it each morning. Latrelle Brown assisted with reservations and did a fantastic job. She was friendly on the phone and prompt with e-mails, reminders and updates. I did not get the names of the two young ladies at the desk when we checked in but both were friendly and prompt to help us get checked in. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it highly. Best hotel experience ever. Our whole group was completely and totally satisfied. TG
No problem with the room, however their breakfast was a disaster. No bread, oatmeal and grits had the consistency of watery soup, bananas were black and I tried to eat an apple but it was soft and mushy. We stay at Hilton properties when possible and enjoy the light breakfast however this time we ate elsewhere. This is also an older property.
I have issues with my neck and needed a different type of pillow for the night. I called the front desk and spoke to Vanessa. She was able to have 2 of the type I needed delivered to my room. The service provided by her & DeMarcus were phenomenal and Ill forever be grateful, not to mention my neck will feel great tomorrow morning thank goodness.THANK YOU VANESSA & DEMARCUS! And thank you to the sweethearted gentleman that delivered the pillows.

2022-01-17Clean hotel, comfortable beds and pillows. Good lighting in the bathroom, good water pressure in the shower. Love using my phone as check-in/checkout option. Decent complimentary breakfast. Good coffee (including the decaf in the evening). Good, hot decaf is hard to find at most hotels in the evening. Parking garage is well lit. Nice, quiet stay. Evening & morning front desk staff very friendly and welcoming, as well as custodial staff we encountered.

2022-03-08First off its petty they charge for parking. I expect a far nicer property in a much better location when Im paying for parking. This property is surrounded by partially abandoned strip malls and nothing else of note. The check in was fine and the lady was pleasant. But when I came down this morning during breakfast I needed to ask the front desk a question. She was doing something on the computer when I walked up and she couldnt even make eye contact but just asked Yes?. Not even hospitable and barely per functionary. I felt like I as the guest was an imposition. One of the hallmarks of Hilton is the professional and courteous staff but they failed on this morning. The room was dated though satisfactorily clean, however, it had a strong musty smell. The furniture had the look of flea market finds strung together but the bed was comfortable.I will not choose this location in future trips to Savannah. Do better Hilton.

2022-05-16I usually stay at Wyndham properties but I couldnt beat the price this place was giving me for the weekend compared to the rates at the Wyndham properties nearby. The property was clean, staff was helpful and personable, the free breakfast is marvelous. I like the idea that the property had plenty of parking in the parking garage. The only downfall was the Monday morning 3 am Garbage pickup on the street. If we had a room near the backside of hotel we probably wouldnt have heard it.

2022-06-10Stayed at this location and arrived quite late to very friendly staff who were working hard to get me checked in quickly. When I got to the elevator I noticed quite quickly that this location is in desperate need of a renovation. Getting to the room the door didnt quite close all the way and was loose. The shower and sink fixtures were tired and on their last legs. The mattress was really comfortable and everything was clean, its just noticable that they need to invest in updating this property. Ill stay at more recently renovated hotels for now.

2022-06-21Positive: Extremely clean and nice breakfast area. Great ice cold air and comfortable beds. Negative: No housekeeping which was FINE except it was difficult to get our room restocked. Tried to trade items with housekeeping on the floor. They sent us to front desk. Asked for everything & they sent 4 towels. No mat, trash bags, washcloths, coffee, nothing.

2021-12-23Very clean hotel. Beds very comfortable. Could do better on breakfast. It was nothing to brag about. Wish that this hotel had microwaves in all the rooms. Shouldnt have to pay more to just get a room with a microwave. Staff was very polite. Just minor issues but still liked hotel.

2022-05-31I have been staying at the Hampton Inn & Suites - Midtown for the past several weeks. I am a patient at the J.C. Lewis Cancer Pavilion. The Hampton partners with them to make us feel as good as we can during our treatments. The staff is so friendly. As usual, there are some that are just doing their job.The housekeeping staff is exceptional! The rooms are properly taken care of. The halls and lobby area are shiny and clean. The free breakfast is a great addition. The exterior grounds are the only downfall I see. The groundskeeper has a bit of catching up to do when it comes to comparison with the housekeeping staff, contracted or not.

2022-04-13The room was dirty, the cover on the bathroom light fixture was missing exposing wires, the shower door looked like it had not been cleaned, and would not shut letting water on the floor as a slip hazard, the heat/air was intermittently working, the garage was dark, tight and unsecured. The fitted sheets on the bed would not stay on, the bedspread had stains on it, along with the bathroom walls and door which looked like blood or lipstick) My vehicle was struck in the parking garage and I was told they didnt have any camera footage (even though they told me the night before they did) we had to pay $7.00 per night to park in the dungeon of a garage, Just a miserable stay. The flap in the vent/bathroom ceiling continued to make loud noise all night long and made it impossible to sleep.I asked for a different room, they said they were booked and did not have maintenance on-site...We were supposed to stay 2 nights, we canceled the second and moved to another hotel. My wife has additional pictures if needed.

2022-02-26Hotel is at least 5-10 minute drive from anything worth doing in Savannah. Old building turned into a Hampton - you can hear every toilet flush. They charge $7/day for parking, but you dont find that out until you check in - not listed on the website and if you check in with Hilton Honors app, there is no notification of the charge. Stay at the Hampton near the river for the same price.

2022-03-22Very dirty, with limited supplies. We couldnt get extra towels! It was 4 women in the room with hair to the waist each and we got 4 towels, when asked for extra we were declined twice! No lotion provided at all, we could not get a place to sit during breakfast. But worst of all, was crazy loud groups of people every night after midnight screaming and fighting. We woke up several times due to this but no one took care of this. Will never stay in Hampton again. Oh BTW parking is $7.50 a night and its not even close to Uptown! No safe in the room too, and absolutely horrible pillows but comfortable mattress.
