We stayed at this location recently. We were not sure what to expect since we have not traveled since March. It was a very positive experience. The rooms are sealed once cleaned and they were spotless. All the usual comforts you expect from a Hampton Inn. Laura, at the front desk, was extremely helpful and friendly. Joyce, who was in charge of breakfast was great. A hot breakfast is still being served with just a few tweaks and I think it is a good plan. Breakfast is ordered directly and delivered to your table. Very orderly and no wasted food. You can tell this is a well run hotel and that the employees really care. I highly recommend staying here and we will if we are in Thomasville again.
I’ve stayed at this particular hotel twice in a month. It’s a really nice hotel close to food and shopping. I only had a slight problem the last time I stayed. My bath tub was filling up with water and the shower head looked like it was not tightly screwed. I called the front desk and was told I could change my room.
We always stay at Hampton Inns for over 30 years, this one was the smallest and coziest. Great experience with room set up and super clean (Ms Darlene). Excellent service at front desk. Ms Sandy, sweet and caring lady during breakfast service was looking out for me when time was running out (she knew we love breakfast) and was so happy to see me. Now, thats caring! Thanks!
Pros: Clean rooms, bathroom. No heavy smells.Comfortable bed.Cons: Night staff rude and unhelpful. Loud elevator and poor sound dampening. Unreliable A.C..Details: Arrived at 11pm. Despite calling ahead to warn of late check-in lobby was deserted. Tried calling out for help, knocking on office door, no response. After waiting for 10 minutes had to call hotel phone and let it ring for another 5 before the night clerk stumbled out and demanded What!?. We had to explain that we wanted to check-in.A.C. kept reverting to default settings. Would not stay on.Room sound dampening is awful. We could hear a thunk every time the elevator doors opened or closed which made the morning a less than pleasant experience.
Traveled here for business and had a great stay. Hotel was clean, staff were friendly and the breakfast options were tasty and thoughtful. They offered healthy options like juices and smoothies in addition to the standard options. The outdoor pool was perfect as well. Gym was a bit small, so I worked out off site.
This Hampton is dealing with breakfast much better than some others i have stayed at. Felt safe and with the attendant maning the food service directly the quality was improved. Only one day into stay but I feel very comfortable so far. My only issue (been an issue in Thomasville all over) people not wearing masks and acting like that is fine. Update attendants on subsequent days feel no need to wear mask. Even putting face up close to food to see what exactly it is with no mask. If anyone gets sick here it will be from the serving staff. Nice people but this is real. And why put these signs up if you have no plan of honoring them.At this point they should go back to daily room service. THey arent doing anything else to help the situation.
I enjoyed this hotel and staff immensely during a 2 week stay during a tough deployment. The only thing I disliked was returning to my room to find the maid had re-organized all my belongings on the desk and bath counters as she cleaned. Please dont touch or move my stuff!
Found a used razor in the shower tub from the previous person that stayed in my room. House keeping did come and clean the bathroom after i complained. I tried to talk with the manager before I checked out but I was told that would not be possible. I also asked for the manager to follow up with me via a phone call and he never did. This isn’t just a cleanliness issue, its a safety issue. I could have stepped on it and been exposed to any number of diseases or fallen. The lack of customer service from this Hampton Inn is unacceptable.
I stayed at the Hampton in Thomasville for a week. It was a wonderful experience. My room was clean, spacious and modern. The staff was very friendly and housekeeping did a great job cleaning my room daily. The complimentary breakfast was good as well with a selection of hot and cold options. Highly recommend staying here when visiting Thomasville!
5 stars for the manager, his wife and the staff including the cleaning girls and the breakfast lady. All very kind and warm people. The hotel room was very clean but the furniture definitely needs updating. I think I heard someone at the desk one day mention that they are working on that. Very nice stay after fleeing Florida due to Hurricane Irma.
We checked in late after driving from a concert in Albany. As Diamond guestvthe check in person did not offer us our snacks and we had to ask. The plug on the side of the tv didnt work so that i could try my hair while my BF was in the shower. The shower head was also broken. We like to stay there because there is a Whataburger and we will be back.
A nice small hotel in a charming Southern town. This is perhaps the smallest Hampton Ive ever stayed at. There are only three floors, but the hotel is well located for easy access to downtown, Wal-Mart, and several restaurant choices. The rooms are very modern. It looks like they had a very recent remodel. The windows all have double Roman shades. The color palette is modern with a mixture of burgundy, green, and burnt orange furnishings. Floors are gray and brown slate that makes the interior feels solemn and deep. Every morning there is a hot breakfast, a choice of breads and pastries, oatmeal, and make your own waffles. They have three TVs in the common room with Fox, CNN, or the Weather Channel playing. Staff have been friendly but with such a well run hotel, I didnt have any occasion to need anything special.
Very comfortable stay, the Hampton Inn complimentary breakfast is always a great way to start the day! Very clean and well maintained rooms and facilities! Many great places to shop and many very good restaurants like Jonahs Fish & Grits or Seminole Wind Buffet nearby.
Firstly, I stay at alot of hotels.I had drove for about 13hrs straight and landed here. Ready to be off the road, I was willingly ran through the mill (9:45p.m) at the desk and overcharged for a single room. $160.00 !! That included a 15 dollar insurance fee?! That might or might not be credited back...?!Additionally. They give the guest zero control of the temp. Control in their room.(New trend?!)I had to block off the vent with the sofa cushions to keep from shivering all night. The bedding is dated. The comforters are really thick(hot and annoying) and there is no blanket, just the comforter and sheets.Continental covid breakfast.I egg 1 sausage 1 coffee. Oh and if you drive a commercial vehicle there parking lot is tiny and you will have to park off site. Office depot next door.
The front desk clerk, Christy, was a total sweetheart. She not only helped in securing the reservation, but she remembered doing so days later when we arrived. It was like being greeted by a friend after a long journey. She was also incredibly knowledgeable about the local area. The hotel itself was as one should expect: quiet rooms, comfortable beds, and hot showers. The breakfast was especially nice, with ample enough selections to satisfy fussy eaters like me. A delightful stay without any annoyance.
This was the best layout of any hotel I have been at (I hope hotel management tells Hilton corporate). There was nothing in a room that I could want that was not provided. There were plenty of USB ports and outlets at bed and desk. Desk was perfect. The bathroom had a shelf and pullout drawers for personal items so they didn’t clutter the counter space or get wet. Typical Hampton Inn amenities were nice. The fridge and microwave were excellent. Water pressure and temp for the shower were perfect as was the temp control of the room. Bed was excellent (had a great nite’s sleep). Very clean (excellent housekeeping). WiFi was excellent. Beyond the room, front desk person was excellent at check-in as well. Plenty of close parking. Complimentary breakfast was ok, but nothing special. Good location. Highly recommended, especially for business travelers.
Words cannot express how much we love this hotel. We were displaced suddenly by hurricane Michael and had nowhere to go. This hotel was one of the few that had power in south georgia. We ended up staying there for a month, the owners and staff treated us like family and made every accommodation imaginable for us. This hotel is the most well managed and well staffed hotel I have ever stayed at, the housekeeping staff is cheerful and eager to please. If I could rate it 10 stars I would!!!
I arrived in town late afternoon and found that my prior reservation @ another motel was wrong & they could not accommodate my family & me. I went to the Hampton Inn and was met by friendly staff, who was able to give me a room for two nights. All the staff I encountered here was friendly, outgoing and courteous to insure that our stay was the best it could have been. I will definitely stay here again when Im in the area.
Stayed 2 nights, over the weekend. Housekeeping staff was great, as was front desk on Friday evening. Room was OK, too. Sat. morning front staff and breakfast lady were laughing, joking, whispering, paying no attention at all to the fact that breakfast items (juice, bread, milk, bagels, and I dont know what else were just not refreshed. A couple of people seemed hesitant to break up the little get-together. Same thing Sunday morning in terms of items running out--I saw 3 people going to find the girl to get some basic need. Just a bit more attention to your job, staff!
My immediate family and I booked 2 rooms as we were approaching Thomasville for a family emergency. What we thought would be a couple nights, turned into just shy of 3 weeks.Jeremy, Laura and the entire staff were so great to us.The rooms were clean and comfortable, the pool and jacuzzi were great for the couple times we tried to relax. Family meetings in the Lobby by the tv.Towards the end of our stay, I think our family had 1/3 of the hotel booked.I can’t Thank the staff enough for their compassion, understanding and willingness to help in anything and everything! God Bless you all!
Worst hotel ever. I travel extensively for business and have never had an experience quite like this hotel. If I could rate a zero, I would. My reservation was messed up and created for one less day than I was in town. Or so I was told. I received a voicemail at 1pm stating that my belongings were being packed up and that I was being moved out of my room as another guest was coming in. What the...?! Being an Honors member with significant travel, my expectation would have been - there is an issue with your reservation how can we assist you to find other accommodation, can you come get your stuff. The message I received, which due my business meetings I am in town for, at 4pm was it is your fault, we are taking your stuff out of the room - GET OUT. Are you kidding me? When I called to find out what was happening, I was told the issue was my fault as I booked incorrectly. Again as a corporate traveler, I book through our corporate system. There was no bill under the door, to alert me to the any impending check out, or in my case an unprofessional forced eviction. After my meetings when I came to collect my things they were dumped in my suitcase and I was also handed a separate plastic bag with stuff in it. Things are missing. There was no interest in ensuring I had a place to stay. No offer to assist with a solution. Again I was told the situation was my fault. WORST customer service ever. The manager, knowing I was coming in angry, left his night clerk to deal with the situation. I was told he is also the owner of the hotel. Apparently he is the one who packed up my belongings. I was left to find another hotel on my own. I expect more from a Hilton property than an owner/manager (Jeremy Emmett) who cant be bothered and hides behind his employees. When you travel extensively, you know things will at times go sideways. Flights get delay, or canceled. You get stuck in the tiniest of rental cars because that is all they have left. Things happen. Being blamed and told it is all my fault, evicted, having someone go through my stuff, offered no solution or assistance and being completely ignored by the hotel leadership is beyond the boundaries of unacceptable.
Basic hotel room in a small room. Horrible customer service, we had to wait 30 just to try to track down the one employee running the front desk just to check in. Rattling A/C unit. Parking lot is connected to, and right next to, a sketchy, run down old hotel that I didnt feel safe walking at night or leaving my car in their lot. Our clock in the room was one hour behind the actual time and we didnt realize it until checkout and they would not grant even an extra 30 minutes for us to pack our belongings without wanting to charge for a full day. Luckily it was one brief night....
From my experience this hotel is not conducting check in in the same way other Hampton Inns are conducting this process for Diamond Members. After discussions with the manager they seem to be having issues with their credit card processing which resulted in me erroneously being told my card was rejected. In fact this turned out to be either an issue with the credit card processor or the night desk clerk. I hope they get their problem fixed the facility is nice and the manager was very receptive to my feedback.
We were met at the desk by a cheerful young lady who offered us freshly baked cookies. There was fresh coffee and tea available in lobby 24/7. The room was large and the bed was comfy. The bathroom was clean with plenty of fluffy towels. The typical hotel size shampoo, conditioner and body lotion bottles were available as well as a make up remover cloth, cotton swabs, cotton balls and an emery board. The breakfast which was included in the price of the room was generous. Make your own waffle, yogurt, banannas, muffins, cereal, crockpot oatmeal, sausage, omlets etc were available. Im pretty quick to be critical of a hotel but Ill be staying at Hampton Inn Thomasville if I ever pass through again.
This place has been a home away from home. Im so happy to have a clean room to come to every night after a long day of monitoring the pick up of storm debris . It is a true blessing to have good people that appreciate the emergency responders that work hard to get good communities up and running after a storm. Thats Hampton in in Thomasville Georgia a great place to stay!.
The common areas of the hotel are nice and updated per the Hampton Inn look. But the rooms dont look like theyve been updated or redesigned since the mid-80s.Furniture is damaged walls are damaged bathrooms feel more like a gas station restroom then a Hampton Inn. Definitely needs to be updated.
Clean room and bathroom. Room location was at the elevator lobby which also housed the ice and drink machine. Even normal conversation volume could be heard through the door, but being awakened multiple times in the middle of the night for the ice machine and elevator traffic left for very little rest.
I just wanted to thank you for the caring response we received from your entire staff during our stay last weekend. Our family stayed with you for three nights to attend the funeral of our beloved Robert Salter. Your staff went out of their way to get us rooms at a reasonable rate and close together. Each person showed such compassion and went out of his/her way to help us feel welcome and cared for. God bless you and your Hampton Inn family.Dan and Susan SalterGaron and Linda SalterJon and Monica SalterSent from my iPhone
These guys are awesome! I had several front desk staff go above and beyond to help me with a couple of snafus, including a stompy upstairs neighbor and the loss of a phone charger before a big drive home. They were so friendly and accomodating. Would definitely recommend!
Standard format Hampton Inn, brief feedback below.Like - staff, breakfast, bedding, outdoor pool, location, evening snacks, gymDislike - bathroom could be cleaner, lack of pest control, size of room, hot tub no circulation, room age (furnishings, outlets, etc.), no free weightsOverall, this is about a C- on the Hampton scale and is due for a remodel

2022-03-19They keep it simple & clean, not too perfumed up! Breakfast included something more then a carbed/gluten sugar rush! Eggs every morning of some kind, good bacon and even turkey sausage one morning, oatmeal too... Fresh fruit & good coffee... Greetings when you come in the door!

2022-07-02The hotel was nice and clean and the staff was exceptionally kind. The only issue I had was that after a long drive and even longer wedding celebration I was snatched out of my peaceful rest by the outrageous amount of noise in the room above mine. I usually sleep like a rock, but I woke up around 1am to what sounded like a bowling tournament and someone doing WWE moves over my head. I tried to wait it out, but after about 20 minutes I called the desk to ask for assistance and the gentleman who answered was very apologetic. He offered to call the guests, but I didnt want to put him in an awkward situation. Thankfully there was a room available on the 1st floor and it was easy enough to transfer quickly. If I ever make it back to Thomasville Ill book another room here.

2022-04-27We had started the night off at a different inn, and it was awful. We found this hotel and the lady (Jan) worked so hard to get us in and settled. The room was really good and the staff was fantastic
