Today I had the BEST hot stone massage from Charlene! She was extremely professional and my massage was so relaxing which is exactly what I wanted. She made sure to inquire about my pressure points and any focus areas I had concerns about. I came in with a migraine and felt feeling refreshed. I am so appreciative of the manager for taking the time to listen to my concerns as my previous experience was not as pleasurable. The front office staff is always so nice and welcoming and it’s always a nice experience.
First time at any H&S massage and it was a pleasant experience. Was warmly welcomed upon arrival by the friendly staff who checked in to make sure i was comfortable before my session and didnt need anything. My masseuse Tamika(apologies if poorly spelled) was phenomenal. She checked in very often to make sure i was comfortable and adjusted the procedure as i provided feedback. The space itself was calm, serene and clean and made me have confidence in H&S. My only recommendation is if the lights could be made to go dimmer would be great but thats just me. Wonderful staff with great service. Highly recommend.
Do not get a facial at this location. I just had a “therapist” apply 3 different masks and in between each mask, proceeded to check his phone. I could hear the audio coming from his phone. That’s all he did for the facial. 3 masks that sat on my face for 10 minutes each. I left with residue from one of the masks all up and down my face and in my nostrils. It was a horrific experience. This man was not trained properly and should not be giving facials.
Not a happy customer/ former member. Besides the scarring that occurred after the facial( I hear its normal but this was a lot) I recently had some of the absolute worst customer service Ive had in awhile. As a paying customer/ member I thoughts maybe management could fix the situation sadly its only an assistant manager available and she kinda made it worst by not caring at all about the situation. Also if you do sign up for a membership its easy enough but to cancel you would have to jump through hoops and will be charged multiple times during the process. I was excited at first about this location but that quickly turned to dread because its not a real spa but more like a weird money grab. Ive been charged about $500 bucks and only received one facial. You been warned ⚠️ And I most definitely emailed the manager and Ive never heard anything back till this day. And the reply back below is most definitely lip service or as to appear they care. Ive emailed twice and never heard a peep until I put up these pictures showing the scarring on my face. Ive also called and no answer
I am reposting this review because it was mistakenly posted for the Marietta location. )The asst. mgr. Hannah informed me). This is the correct location.I scheduled my appointment with my regular massage therapist a month in advance, and reconfirmed my appointment the day of. I was not informed that my massage therapist was not in. I found that to be very rude, and inconsiderate. Particularly, because I specifically selected a 90 minute session with her. They contacted me a few days before to confirm my appointment, but failed to inform me that she would be on leave.Upon leaving, I shared my concerns with the receptionist named Holly and she apologized for their error. I then spoke with the manager on duty named Dakotah who did not appear to be able to handle my concerns. Offering me a $10 treatment is totally unacceptable! Further, I was charged for an additional service that I did not receive.I spoke with corporate, and was told that I’d receive a call from the owner. It has been one week, and I am still waiting for the owner to contact me.I have been a member for several years, and will NOT do business at this location.
Horrible facial, my 60 minute facial was 45 minutes and the towels smelled like mildew. My husband 60 minute massage only lasted 45 minutes. I will never return!
I got a great treatment in Decatur location. I wont recommend Sandy Springs locations. I had a worst experience for all my facial treatments. I gave my feedback but they never considered not refund as well. Im not satisfied with facial massage treatments. Poor communication, the worst and unprofessional staff I have ever seen so far. They dnt know what is facial means (no blood circulation) they just wipe the surface of the skin with hot towel. NO refund if you are not satisfied.For 15mins facial they charged me $60. Ive had a membership with Hand & Stone for over two year and I have been to multiple locations. I have enjoyed my membership, but after this experience at the Sandy Springs location, I am cancelling my membership.I booked appointments for myself and my boyfriend at 11 am. My boyfriend is greeted by his therapist and went to go do his massage at 11:15 am while I am outside waiting until around 11:25. There was no sign of anyone coming to come get me so I finally asked if there was a reason I wasnt getting my massage yet. The lady at the front desk tells me that my therapist hasnt shown up and they are unsure what is going on. Turns out my therapist, Wally, just called in sick almost 30 min into my appointment. How did no one know that he wasnt here until 11:30? The staff seems lost and tries to offer me a free session on them next time. This is a total waste of time and now I have to wait for my boyfriend to get finished since he has no idea that Im just waiting outside for him. I do not think they handled it correctly and it was so irresponsible of the therapist to cancel in the middle of my supposed appointment. They seem unconcerned about my time and now I just drove down here to wait in the front for an hour. No one bothered to tell me anything until I asked. I find this kind of business practice unacceptable.I have been a loyal customer for years, but from this I am cancelling.I would NOT recommended this location and I dont think the staff knows what they are doing. Save your time and your money.
Great, professional environment upon arrival, but very poor facial. There was very little product used, left alone with a mask on for 10 minutes, and worse of all, no extractions. Save your money. Getting a facial here is the equivalent and washing your own face and putting a clay mask on. I complained about my service and was offered an additional facial at the introductory rate. Why should I have to pay for a facial twice?

I am so incredibly disappointed with the service rendered today at hand and stone. I had booked massages for myself and my boyfriend. The therapist pulled be back first but upon finishing my massage, I found out that my boyfriend was never seen. He was also not informed that the therapist wasn’t even there until 30 minutes after his scheduled appointment. I’ve been a member of this salon for over 3 years and I’m mortified with how my partner was treated. No acceptable solutions were offered today (offered a facial in place of a massage). Seeing that we came into today citing back pain, this is hardly satisfactory.I will say, Mimi, my therapist, was wonderful and listened very well to my needs and wants for today’s massage. I have also been seeing Marietta for facials consistently for the last 3 year and absolutely adore her.I am displeased with the lack of information about getting ahold of a manager to rectify the situation in a timely fashion.This was supposed to be a gift to my boyfriend before he makes a long distance move. I am so disappointed. And I hate that a place I’ve been going to for so long would treat him like this.
I am a member in Raleigh,NC and was traveling. I injured my back and really needed to loosen up some very tight muscles. I went to this Hand and Stone in Atlanta (Sandy Springs) and had the amazing good luck to get Logan as my therapist. He is not just a therapist- Logan is a true healer in spirit and body. I cant thank him enough for the work he did to relieve my pain. I was truly blessed that day to find Logan. Highly highly recommend booking with him. Thanks Logan.
I did a bridal bachelorette celebration party at the Sandy Springs location. They staff went above and beyond in coordinating with me to accommodate getting everyone in and also having everyone scheduled so nobody was sitting by themselves with nothing to do or the whole group wasnt waiting on 1 person. The staff was all extremely professional and patient and they provided us with a private room that was decorated when we arrived allowing privacy for our party! I was traveling and coordinating from out of town and they assisted to make the perfect day. To make things better the quality of massages and facials we received were the best I had and all 5 girls said it was good. I would recommend this to anybody for individual or group services!!
What an absolutely beautiful new spa! I went to Hand & Stone in Orlando, so when I moved up to Atlanta, I was so excited to hear that Hand & Stone was opening up in my area. I have been now twice since it opened three weeks ago! I first got a facial and it was not only relaxing but exactly what I wanted and needed. They use the Clarity RX products, which I love! I signed up for the membership right after the service. Great thing about their membership is there are no contracts, and I could cancel if I wanted to, at any time.Then today I went in for a massage! Can I tell you that it was AMAZING! Elvin, the therapist listened to what I wanted and made me feel completely relaxed. I cant wait till my next service!
I enjoyed my massage at Hand and Stone. They were prepared and ready for me when I arrived. Valerie did a great job when I asked her to do a deep tissue massage. She was very helpful in answering my questions. I felt wonderful afterwards. I will definitely go again!

I was taken to the room quickly. I can’t recall the name of who did my facial but she was very sweet and informative. It was my first time so she made sure to let me know what was being done and when. She also gave advice on how to care for my skin to get it healed right. Will definitely be returning.
After browsing available appointments online, I called to schedule an appointment using a gift card I received for my birthday. After holding, I was informed that, even though multiple slots were available today, I would not be allowed to book a massage until next week or weekend.In the past, Id patronized other Hand and Stone locations with my family and received excellent, thoughtful service. I did not have that experience today.I discourage the purchase of Hand and Stone gift cards if their prospective customers are segmented so callously.

First time visiting Sandy springs location. I am member and go to Hand and Stone in Dallas Texas. To my surprise, I found a location in Georgia. I was very pleased with the service. My therapist Jeff... was AMAZING. I was even more happy to hear that he works Sundays. That works perfect for my schedule since I travel between Texas and Georgia.
The male massage therapist I had was too rough and impolite, especially compared to the front desk staff who were helpful, friendly, and welcoming. During my 90 minute session, he also stopped massaging several times to deal with personal texts, likely when he thought I was asleep. Then, coming home to find bruises on my legs from the deep tissue pressure is not something I’ve ever experienced in my decades of receiving massages. I won’t return, at least certainly not to him!
One experience with one massage therapist: Mahdiy A.The therapist appeared promptly as I was on time. He took me back and didnt get started on me until 10 minutes past the hour. I looked at the clock on the table. The massage was not as expected due to the fact that it ended 40 minutes later. It was an hour massage. Also the quality of massage was not what I asked for. His personal phone kept beeping with a message alert over the music speaker. I felt like I got the bums rush and then a lecture that I should come by more often. I will never step foot in that place again. I dont have time in my schedule nor money in my pocket to waste on the possibility that I may get the same result. I dont want to be contacted by the manangement; I want the buyer to be aware of what can happen.
Tamika gave me a WONDERFUL massage this morning...shes great! After that, Marietta gave me a classic facial that was excellent. She was very thorough, yet gentle, with deep pore cleansing and extractions...and really did a great job! I already look forward to my next spa visit!
Lee is easily one of the best massage therapists I have seen. He carefully listens to your areas of concern and addresses each of them. He is particularly great for long distance runners - I have seen him with multiple injuries - particularly for an on going IT band issue and his massages have really helped. I strongly recommend his services - you wont be disappointed!
I believe my facial was with Paula. She was absolutely AMAZING!!! I mean she massage the heck out of face honey. I felt so rejuvenated after. I was honestly considering canceling my membership but change of plans. As long as Paula is there, I will be too! lol
I first contacted this location two months ago to book a massage for my party of seven. They wrote me down and I followed up and confirmed with them on six different occasions. They called me four days prior to the day to cancel on me because they booked another party. I called as recently as one week before we were scheduled to go to make sure everything was set. I am so let down in their professionalism.
Clean, professional services and kind staff. They helped me out with a pinched nerve that was causing extreme discomfort. Also got me in same day! Can’t wait to go back.
First, the vibe in this place just doesnt feel like a spa. Second, two of the therapists breathed/cough on my face while giving me a massage and I ended up with a scratchy throat for 3 days. Finally, the attrition rate is relatively high for their therapists. There are some that have been there for a while but you have to book days in advance to get an appointment with them.

Not a great massage. My therapist didnt seem to be really listening when I asked to focus on shoulders or to use a firm touch . I was also upset my massage was cut ten minutes short of what had been promised . Overall it was an easy choice not to sign for a monthly package .
Ive had better. I went there for a hot stone massage. I think the stones were used on me for about 10 minutes for each shoulder. I informed the masseuse of the areas of concentration and he ignored the calves. The next day, my back was worse.
We had a bridal shower spa day and the staff went above & beyond! Everyone was so nice and the services were amazing. They provided plenty of snacks and a comfortable space to relax. I definitely recommend.
Omg! My significant other and I did a couples massage this past weekend and Lee did an amazing job. I would definitely recommend!! He asked me questions about pressure points that I needed to be stretched out (SO CONCERNED)! He is definitely in my top 3!

I paid for a one hour facial that only lasted for 35 minutes. I added back a star because the worker at the front desk took off a $15 extra that I had added on when I told her it only lasted for 35 minutes. The facial itself but fine other than the fact that it felt rushed. I will not be back.

Had an appointment at 11:30am and the staff called me 10min before my appointment to cancel “which I was already at the parking lot of the location” because my massage lady “Jasmine” called sick 5 min before they did called me! I was wondering why so many bad reviews but here the answer of my doubt!

I was referred to Hand & Stone by our brother and I received the best full body massage in a lonnnng time✔💯🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 Spencer was the absolute best and he not only concentrated on my chronic pain areas, he helped with some breathing exercises to calm my anxiety down when I have panic attacks during to the pain. Tried to make an appointment for a bachelorette party and the woman i spoke to was extremely rude and sounded annoyed. So were probably going to take the bachelorette party to a different location unfortunately. I had heard good things about this place and was disappointed when I dealt with such a rude employee.
I was warmly greeted when I arrived. Love the atmosphere and my massage was amazing. I need therapeutic massage and the therapist did an excellent job.
Consistently good service, and the last two massages from Tameka were two of the best Ive had in many years. She is truly gifted.
Put expired product on my eyes, for eyelash tinting, burned my eyelashesshes down to stubs and completely destroyed my outer eyelashes. My eyes are burned. Employee there realized product had no eye in it after applying and checked box to realize it expired. My eyes are still hurting me, burning the next day and my nice eyelashes are gone :(
The therapist never showed up. Waited a half hour before staff informed me they hadnt heard from him (Spencer). Waste of time. Staff made it difficult to get in touch with anyone who could make it right.
If I could give 0 stars I would. Absolutely terrible customer service and lack of responsibility on the front desks end double booking two parties and throwing the one with the smaller group out. I would never recommend this place to anyone and I have had my share of massage. HORRIBLE!

2022-03-17I am a licensed massage therapist and I am giving them a 5 star based on my 1st experience.I have heard mixed reviews on this place (some pretty bad) that would have typically steered me away from patronizing them, but I received a gift card and there is no way I am turning down a free massage. With chains you have to go in understanding that it is pretty much a gamble and that the worst case scenario is that you will get an hour to relax yourself.As a guest:Reception was friendly and the waiting area was comfortable. Although I arrived late (Roswell Road Traffic!), they were efficient, having me complete my intake and getting me back relatively quickly. Logan was my therapist and I have to say that his 50min routine was amazing. It was more of an therapeutic focus yet he did full-body and it didnt feel rushed. Between his music and opening routine I was able to really decompress and the time almost seemed to stop.As a therapist:I like the fact that they allow you the freedom to practice massage in a manner that is comfortable to you, but the rooms could be a little bigger.

2022-05-22At the beginning the service was great. The staff was very friendly but the customer service has gone down hill. I got a gift certificate and gave it to my mother. She did like the facial so she got a membership and set an appointment for the next month. Something came up and had to cancel the appointment. She called to cancel 24 hours before the appointment. The appointment was at 1:30pm and she called at 1pm the previous. They tried to charge her for the whole service. She cancelled her membership.Then today I got a massage for my daughter. I have a membership and credits on my account. She charged my credit on file without confirming the amount. The front desk receptionist couldn’t do anything because the manager is on vacation and will be for another 10 days. I tried to explain to the front desk and she continues to get smart and have an attitude. While I was there a person came in to cancel her membership. Another person in waiting room waiting to cancel because they took to long to start her service. I will never come to this place again. The worst service.

2022-05-18I would like to specifically mention Logan the therapist, great professional and person as well.He helped me get through a 6 year old rib injury that caused some major back pain. As an athlete, I can say that Logan was thorough and really interested in helping me feel and get better. I cant wait to schedule with him next.

2022-06-01They take your card information to charge you if you are late or don’t show… but don’t show the same accountability themselves. I came 15 min early for my appointment as requested but my massage therapist never showed. The lady behind the desk didn’t reschedule me, just told me to wait for her manager to get there. I waited another 15 minutes and no one came. Really not the relaxing experience I was looking for. I’ll take my business elsewhere.

2021-10-13I have had mixed experiences at this place, sometimes it’s good sometimes it’s OK. This time though it was horrible. The massage lasted barely 35 minutes and I was there 10 minutes before my appointment. I asked for a deep tissue massage and asked for an add-on for which they did Himalayan salt but they did not do deep tissue at all. 10 minutes into the massage hotel in the therapist that I want deep tissue but she does not change her mind or help me. A good therapist would woods apologize and say that I can do deep tissue instead but this therapist did not say anything and continued doing continued with the Himalayan massage and she did not even focus on the areas that I mentioned which was my legs and my scalp.The only reason you would want to join this membership and club is that they have lots of locations but apart from that I don’t see why anyone would join their membership.

2019-10-03Everything about this location was good,from the way they handled the customers ,rooms conditions and hygienic conditions of people who work here but the only issue I found is the time they give for facial and the time they actually work on your skin is different. If 45 mins are there they should be ready for that,facial is about a good massage with good creams and I got rashes on my cheeks after the facial.
