It seems like every time you take your scooter in to be serviced, they find something else wrong with it. My son took his scooter to get the oil changed and routine maintenance completed on it, in about two weeks all the bolts except for one that holds the transmission in place we’re gone. The one that was left was broke off, the muffler feel off going down the road. Seems like you take it in for a “ $50” job, and it turns out to be a “ $200” job. If it was me I would go somewhere else
We bought dirt bike a few weeks ago and have been very impressed with the process and customer service. We dropped in near closing time to look and ended up buying the bike that day. I fully expected to have to come back days later to pick it up, but we left that evening with it. Billy spent so much time running alongside my grandson on the bike (and it was so cold that night), to make sure that he was riding it correctly and understood how everything worked. Everyone that we have encountered at Hawg Powersports is so nice and passionate about the business. Thank you for a great experience!!!!!
I am a proud owner of a 2019 Genuine Buddy Rough house.I bought it brand new from Hawgs when they where on Skidway road! I first want to be clear, I am not a person that ever post reviews,but after the way the Owner jandle my issue I felt compelled to!!!I just took it in to Billy the new owner,and General Manager, and wow did he impress me. He is just what Hawgs Power sports needs. A Owner that is Honest, straightforward, and very helpful.My scooter has been serviced with Hawgs, as needed and required by my warranty, except for the easy stuff, like air in my tires, premium fuel fill ups etc., but this was my first time speaking to the NEW Owner Billy, He knows his stuff and because my scooter came with a strong warranty, and and I used the correctOil and serviced it with his shop, The owner is going to get with Genuine, and HONOR my warranty! Billy could have easily said, well Daniel its not covered, because of this, or that, like car dealerships do,, but he asked me a few questions and is going to take care of my Scooter. Let me tell you what I experienced from him, as a person, and Owner.Billy was kind, very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable.I give him alone, 5 STARS, FOR super customer service alone.In-fact all of his staff have been Great every visit, or service Ive had!It may take some time for him to get my scooter fixed and up and running. I would like to again note, I never write reviews, but after the way the OWNER treated me. I had to!Thank you Billy you will do very well in Savannah! Been buying from them for years now, ashamed I havent gotten around to review them yet, but I had to finally do it as you just cannot find a better place to get your Powersports. I often shop around and I am one of those buyers that does the research and compares apples to apples all the way from warranty (which they have a 6 month if its not your fault its theirs, and THEY STAND BEHIND THAT) also considering the customer service IF I SHOULD HAVE ISSUES, as well as getting the routine servicing done, and of course they excel in those categories! NOT TO MENTION price point and quality of the product, they specialize in the off brand toy market, but they only carry the brands they trust and stand behind. They are extremely friendly and truly care about the rider. Just to add in here for those reading this... You always attract bees with honey, so be friendly and they will go above and beyond for you.
Very appreciative of the folks at Hawg Powersports. I was in a tough situation after someone tried stealing/hot wiring my scooter. They allowed me to have my bike towed there, were in constant communication & the repairs came in way under the budget I had expected. Highly recommend them for anyone in the Low Country!
Talk about great customer service. From the moment i called the shop about a problem I was having with my bike, Billy was so nice and helpful trying to walk me through figuring out the issue over the phone. He even remembered who I was two weeks after purchasing! He went out of his way to drive out to me after business hours to help me fix the problem, and even had spare parts to put my bike back together on the spot. 5 star service. Definitely won’t hesitate to call him again for help and look forward to more purchases with Hawg scooter Savannah.
I have bought two scooters from them and I am pleased with both purchases. The first one I bought got stolen from my job. Never found it. So I had to buy me another. I now ride the 2020 Boom International. Very nice bike. Love it. The staff at Hawg Scooters are very nice and very knowledgeable about the bikes and accessaries they sell. Very pleased and I highly recommend them if your looking to buy or rent a svooter,or any of the other bikes they sell.
I just had the worst experience Ive ever had before in my life in a professional setting at Hawgs Motorsports. I bought a go Max Chicago scooter brand new it had .4 miles on it when I bought it. Or so it said. I drove the bike my first time riding a scooter I dont know anything about scooters it felt all right to me I had them put a big boy kit in it to give it more power when I got it back to clutch went out as a matter of fact the clutch went out twice when I would take it back it would take me hours of just sitting around for them to even pay me any attention finally I got the bike back and tired of it breaking down and having to go back and sit around there I let somebody else look at the bike. They said it was so messed up that it couldnt have been new I took it back and asked them if they could not fix it then to give me some of my money back or give me another bike. They kept taking the back and trying to fix it but it kept breaking finally I took the bike back and argued moneywith them until they just gave me $1,000 back of my money. But the bickering the arguing back and forth and the whole week of lies it was just not worth it it was worth the loss just to get away from those people
Great shop! Owners are so nice and friendly. They go out of their way to help. By the time we left, I felt like we were old friends. They are honest and reliable! The owner himself delivered the bike we bought on a Saturday evening from Savannah to Bluffton. They are knowledgeable, friendly, and good honest people to deal with.
If I could give this place zero stars I would. Practically everyone there has a bad attitude, especially the person I spoke with on the phone. I left my scooter with them to get a flat tire replaced. I was told it would be ready the next day. Three days passed and I never got a call from them so I had to call them. Couldnt drive myself to work for a couple days because of this. When I finally picked it up, they once again had a bad attitude when I explained my situation and asked if I could receive a discount. I was talked down to like I was a 5 year old. Very unprofessional. I will not be going back here anymore. Also I guess they are unaware of the pandemic because no one was wearing a mask.
I would give zero stars if I could. Warning this is a long story, but fully gives you an idea of what service is like here.Two months ago my girlfriends Moped was brought into the shop to get a tire replaced. Unfortunately the tire recently just got a rip in it, by an unknown cause so we took it in to see what could be done. First off who ever answered the phone, a women, was very passive aggressive when collecting our information, and being very short with us. We pushed through and was able to bring it in the same day. Also that day we asked respectively if there was any sort of discount that we could get for the new tire, fully understanding if nothing could be done. The man was very rude about it and said no, but told us that FOR SURE, it would be done tomorrow. For both me and my girlfriend use the moped to get to work and school.We wait three days, no phone call, no update, not even a warning that it would be late. We both had to miss days of work, and it took my girlfriend to finally call them for them to tell us IT WASNT EVEN READY YET. Few hours later same day, a half hour before they closed, we were told that it was ready. However it was so late in the day we couldn’t get it, and the next day a Sunday they were closed. We missed another day of work.My girlfriend calmly went to pick up the moped, got the bill, and even asked given the situation if there was a way for us to receive a discount. My girlfriend was looked down by the owner as if she was five, and scolded her for even asking such a question.We are reasonable people, who know what it’s like to run a business, for we are also people who run a business, and this is not how to run one. Everyone understands it’s hard to run a business during these hard times, but that doesn’t call for you to let out your anger on others. Horrible service. Put on your masks.
Brilliant service. Excellent mechanics. Awesome shop dog. Witt and Bobby really know what they are doing and are more than happy to be helpful and friendly. I had no car and was stuck without a vehicle to work, called ahead saying I would be late to the shop (was near closing when I got there) and Witt was very understanding. They stayed over late just to sell me a new scooter and accessories and were pleased the whole time. Sorry I made you stay late! I know thats unprofessional of me! Wonderful, knowledgeable dudes though,10/10 would share a beer with them.
The guys running this place are completely awesome! Theyve been amazingly helpful, very honest about exactly what youre getting, and full of tons of information about scooters, even models they dont personally carry. They had all the answers to ever question I had, and when I accidentally showed up right after they closed to buy a helmet, they immediately offered to open the shop, get the register going again, and got me hooked up with exactly what I needed. Cannot recommend this place enough! And I love the scooter I bought from them as well :)
I purchased a Tao Tao Quantum 150 in June 2020 for my sons Birthday. Service was great and very convenient because I was able to do everything by phone including paying for it! Never had to go into store! The Moped is beautiful but in three wks he has ridden 3 different screws have fallen out so not sure about the quality.goin to contact Hawgs and see what can be done
Excellent place to buy a moped! I knew nothing about mopeds when I first walked in, but the owner made me feel very comfortable. He showed me how everything worked and even let me ride it around their back lot after I purchased it before I went off on my own. Everyone there was very thorough about how I should best maintain my vehicle and they really know their stuff. I have recommended them to everyone I know!
I found the service and employees to be great. But am not to thrilled with the scooter that was recommended. I traded in my Bintelli sprint for the revolution boom, and it was definitely a down grade. My bintelli need some work, and now I wish I would have just had the work done. The Revolution rides a little bit rough. And I cant even drive it at night because the headlight is HORRIBLE. I drove it once in the dark and could not see a thing. I bought it Sept 3 and have only put 100 miles on it. And this is my main mode of transportation. So, needless to say, I have taking the bus or uber in I am going to be out after dark. I have tried emailing them and left a voicemail to see if there is anything that can be done about the headlight, but have not heard back from anyone. I also realized, after the fact that there was a $250 set up fee. I think that was a bit steep considering not much set up had to be done. I just wish I still had my Bintelli 😥
I purchased a go-cart for my children for Christmas 2018. Whit the owner helped me personally when I told him what I was looking for. Whit let me test drive it and went over the whole go-cart with me on how everything works with the cart. Him and his mechanics throughly went over it while I was finishing the paperwork. They constantly asked if I had any questions and answered them completely and with great knowledge. My kids ride the go-cart for hours everyday and the cart has plenty of torque and power, but not too much just right for my children who are 5 & 8 years old. I highly recommend purchasing your scooters or go-carts from Hawg Scooters. They are locally owned and care about their customers. Thank you Hawg Scooters for making my purchase fast, easy, and hassle free.
Had my scooter in to fix a flat tire. They told it me it would be a few days. I went back the following weekend, because they hadn’t called me and they hadn’t started it, they said they were busy. I Went back two weekends latter and they hadn’t done a thing, I basically felt like I was bothering them, begrudgingly they told me they would try to get to it that day, told me there were down a mechanic. Waited another two weeks, still hadn’t touched it, they just wheeled it out and said sorry we have been busy...I won’t ever do business with them again,. I genuinely felt like I was bothering them while waiting weeks to get nothing..
My fiance and I are new to owning a scooter and new to living in the Savannah area. We found Hawg Scooters online and ever since then we have only been coming here! They have the best prices and the most knowledgable people working. Theyll help you learn your own scooter and give you the knowledge to maintain and improve your scooter. Witt was very helpful to us when we had hit a wall during our project. We were able to bring the scooter in and work with him to fix and learn about what caused the problems. These guys are awesome, they came by picked up my scooter, fixed in less than a week and all of the parts and work was reasonably prized. These are definitely the guys you want to deal with, specially if you are a student and on a budget. Fantastic service! Recommend wholeheartedly.
I would recommend Hawg Scooters to anyone in the market for a scooter. The staff are super helpful as well as very professional. Prices are competitive with others in Savannah. The service provided is beyond compare. I am a dedicated customer because of the treatment we received.
This place is the best. I have had problems with other scooter stores in Savannah and decided to give Hawg a try.The owner Whitt is friendly, knowledgable, professional and honest. I call him or head over to his store with any questions and always have issues resolved quickly.Highly recommend!
UPDATE: So, times change, I guess. Brought another scooter in for a tire change and was quoted $130. Even after looking at it when I dropped it off, they said $130. Well, turns out it was more work than they expected, but they didnt honor the quote this time.Original: Whit is a nice guy - he mounted tires on my scooter, and honored the quoted price, even though it took longer to do the work than expected. He also called me back, even though I didnt leave a message! Ill return for any future needs.
I assume if youre renting this place is fine but if you are looking for repairs you need to look elsewhere, I doubt that mechanic is even certified. It didnt even idle right after 3 months of waiting. Also it took 2 and a half months to even get an estimate out of them. Constantly having to call and ask how things are going was probably my first sign this would not end well.My scooter broke down 3 days after taking it here. Spend your money elsewhere.
I had an extremely bad experience with this business. I had a new carborater installed in my scooter and a week later the belt broke. Before leaving with my scooter they insured me that they inspected it thourouly Wich was false. So we went back to get a new belt put on and they proceeded to tell is that it would be $200 because they wanted to make sure that everything was completely the way it should be before we drove it off. So my question is why was this not done the first time. I would not recommend anyone to do any type of business with this scooter shop
I bought my daughter a 4 wheeler for Christmas(pink spider), because she always wanted one and hell it was a Christmas present why not. The day she got it, she came home rode it for about 2 hours and it had a hard time cranking after. I took it back to them because I didn’t know what was wrong with it. They kept it for a few days trying to repair it (said it needed a new battery ). I got it back it would run for 45 minutes and the same thing would happen. After that I didn’t take it back to have it repair again its really a waste of money. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
The one in savannah says that the warrant does not cover labor when the warranty book says it cover parts and labor for two years. I only had it two months and been to the shop over two dozens times and they will find a way to try to get me to pay for something . if i could rate them less than one i would. One day i told them too take a look at my moped and they just sat in the a/c explananing to me that they know whats wrong with it refusing to leave the a/c just to tell me that it gonna cost me 80 bucks to fix it. But does not guarantee that it will be fixed. I have it in the yard not running because im afraid to even go back and ask . good luck to you all.but i watch as they treat other people fairly but im not the only one who been treated unfairly for the so many people who ive ran across with the same issues. The bike cuts off while im in traffic. And they dont see that it meeds attention after i spent 1500 for it.i see you all like to edit. I dont even have 5000 miles on it. It was at 2000 miles when i request the repairs. But it is fix and im riding like a champ. But telling me to change my belt every 2000 miles is unreal. I appreciate the businesses ive dealt with you all but all i ask was for to get my bike running when all i needed was a vavle adjustment, but was telling me that wont guarantee it would be fixed. Then after i had it inspected through another comp, they found a wire that was bent to keep the gas from traveling like it should. I just wanted be a great customer and have something to brag about buying a fabulous scooter from hawgs
Bought a scooter from them brand new, the day we took it home it stopped running. Took it back the next day and was told it had water in the gas, and it was our fault. Left it there to be repaired and it was found there was rust in the tank. How did we cause that within hours of getting it home? They replaced the tank and lines but not the carburetor. Within 2 months the crank shaft broke and the carburetor had to be replaced. We were charged for that as well. Less than 300 miles total, and less than 50 miles on the new carburetor and we are told it needs another one. No warranty for that. Cheap and poorly made product that cost more in repairs than the entire scooter brand new cost. Plus the trips back and forth to have it repaired. First the customer was blamed after having the scooter less than 3 hours when it stopped running. New management blames old management and yet still crappy service and product (they even admit its a crappy product from china, hence the cheaper price). When left a review on Facebook it was deleted and the original person that left it was blocked. Poor customer service and cant handle a genuinely upset customer that was ripped off by their company. The only remedy offered was to bring it back to be fixed at full cost to us. If I could give a negative star review I would. Even at 1 star, its too good.
If you like giving away $1423.40, then buy something from here. We bought our daughter a 4 wheeler for her birthday, because we want her to have the things we always wanted and didn’t have growing up. The day we got it, we came home rode it for 20 minutes and it wouldn’t crank again. We took it back to them because there was a 60 day warranty. They kept it for a week trying to repair it. Every time we got it back it would run for 10 minutes and the same thing would happen. They tried to repair it 4 or 5 times in the 60 days we had it. My daughter didn’t get to ride it on her birthday, on Christmas, on New Years. We felt horrible that every time we would ask if she wanted to ride her four wheeler her face would light up, she would get her boots and helmet on, we would walk outside and it wouldn’t start. Seeing her face broke our hearts. So we took the four wheeler back to them, and being told the last time by them to “Give me one more chance to get it right.” It wasn’t right. Never ran right. They had multiple chances and we just had a bad taste in our mouths. When we dropped it off for the last time the owner wasn’t there and wouldn’t be back until after the New Year. We went out and spent $3000 on another four wheeler from someone else. Once the owner finally got in touch with us after 2 weeks his offer was to give us $1175. When we said “No. How about $1400?” He said he couldn’t do that. We were willing to lose $23.40. Why did he offer any refund if he felt like what he did wasn’t wrong?? The owner said he would sell it on consignment and we would get all our money back. We said No. We weren’t putting our name on a broken four wheeler that someone else would be screwed over with. We aren’t those people. So now, we have given them $1423.40, on top our all our time going back and fourth from their shop, the lost wages of work we had to miss, the gas, and our faith in business owners do the right thing. SHOP HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK OR IF YOU LIKE GIVING HARD EARNED MONEY AWAY!!!! You are correct the unit has been used a fair amount of time by YOUR staff. Not us! We have not rode the atv for more than an hour. You have been in possession of it for more time than we have! As far as the adult and child riding it, we told you how it was going to be rode. You stood there while my husband and daughter sat on it to make sure there was enough room for both of them!!! You said it would work fine. Why would we want another unit where we would have the same issues? We already went and bought another atv while waiting to hear from you because we got tired of waiting and feeling bad for our child. We just want our $1400 back.
I found my Bintelli Electric Bicycle there. It goes 20mph with Throttle alone, peddling topped out at 27mph. I can go about 20 miles on a charge. That bike is my Main mode of transport to work and appointments and has saved me tons vs. UBER. The only downside was the price of the bike. Over a thousand dollars, most of the cost is the battery tho. In 3 months I have put over 1,000 miles on the bike tho. Think of how much that would have costed with UBER.
Brought my 2018 49cc scooter to get fixed on Saturday morning finally was back on the road again by Wednesday actually Thursday it was done fixed by Wednesday already told them the issue with the scooter very customers oriented very friendly atmosphere including Lena the black laborer retriever and the other mechanic that did a quick fix on my gas gauge everyone was great I thank you hawg scooters for great customer service and great reasonable prices that anyone can afford much appreciated make sure to check them out please shorty valet tio on the road again

2021-08-05Ive bought a couple few from Hawg Powersports. The staff is always very friendly, and helpful. Easy to contact if you have any problems. They really back up their warranty also. If you want a bike you and buy and ride that day, without having to wait on shipping, or assembling yourself, definitely check these guys out.

2021-12-17Horrible business…. I asked one of the employees upon arriving if they had any more pre_owned atvs.I was lied to initially for whatever reason, only to discover not only was there some available but also the exact one I was implying.I was being charged 800$ for a pre owned and 300$ for new tires, that’s 1100$ total. We’re talking a 110cc atv, the same ones they sale for 1100$ brand new. When I actually spoke out and said something about being overcharged for tires this one employee (short white male dark hair) responded to me “well leave and go elsewhere “ I suggest if you’re looking for an atv for yourself or your child do some research and find a business with ethics and respect. After all it’s your money and it shouldn’t be spent with people who won’t appreciate your business…..The owner responds and the 1st thing he say’s, is a mention to my wife and I arriving in a bmw(which is her car) why exactly does that matter exactly????ohhh I get it! I arrived in a bmw so let’s try to over charge these hard working people.A professional business owner doesn’t respond to a bad review by 1st speaking on the type of car someone came in… SMH … so sad… maybe if my wife and I would have caught the bus you would have given us better service??? Is that your point…..???? Anyhow I 1st. Implied about used atv, never did I ask to finance a used atv….. my god… you will do and say anything to get out of a bad review….. may god bless you sir… THIS PLACE SUCKS DON’T SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY HERE

2021-09-25Great shop. They worked on my Yamaha Majesty yp400 when Yamaha wouldnt do it. Simply because it was older than 2011. Got a flat in Savannah and no one in the entire city or the area had a tire that would fit my Yamaha. They were extremely courteous and very helpful.
