I am so happy with my purchase! I found a hard to find pair of On Cloud shoes on the High Country Outfitters website, placed an order, and received them in two days! This was the first time I have ever made a purchase from them and will continue to do so in the future! I am so glad I found this store online! Everyone I have had communication with has been so helpful and courteous! I look forward to making a trip to Georgia to visit the store!
High country outfitters is by far my favorite store in Atlanta. It’s really the people there though that make it super great. It’s the main reason I keep coming back. Will, Dan, savannah, and really everyone I’ve come across are incredible in their knowledge of the products/brands they have and the service. I cannot explain how impressed I am with High Country Outfitters!!!! I had been searching for Patagonia duffel bags that were out of stock *literally* everywhere and found them on HCs website. I ordered on a Tuesday afternoon and not even 48 hours later, they were in my hands!! My order came with a note that was hand-signed and it just felt special to know that we supported a family owned business. We love High Country Outfitters and know everyone else will too!!

Stopped into this store this past weekend to check it out! A friend of mine recommended this company to me because she has had great experiences with them and the staff that work there. From the moment I walked in I was greeted with a smile, a hello and a friendly golden retriever which was really cool. I had never heard of High Country Outfitters prior to my friend recommending them and stopping into the store for myself. To start off, the staff are very knowledgeable about everything outdoors and the products they have in their store. The guy who helped me personally hiked and camped as well, so he had lots of knowledge and experience with various products which was great. Many stores just have employees that punch the time card and ring people up when they buy something from the store, so it was refreshing to have someone that could personally recommend a product and give feedback on their experience with it outdoors. I ended up buying a High Country Cup, T-shirt, hat and some stickers to support their brand and company! Love this store. The second I walked in the other day, I was welcomed with smiles and lots of help. I loved the variety of paddle boards! I’ve been to several of the locations and they all have something unique about them! One of my favorite places to see all the new gear!

Let me start with- this place is the absolute best. Me and my fiancé end up here at least once a week browsing their new inventory. The staff at this location are an absolute dream. I’m in there and they always remember me and don’t judge me for buying more stickers or Patagonia shorts. They always are around to help but are never ever pushy. I take all my friends here just so I have an excuse to browse around. This shop is the greatest!

Wow, I ordered a Patagonia sweater 1 day before Thanksgiving. It arrived at my door the day after Thanksgiving with a sweet note from an employee. This company is awesome!
The workout attire I ordered came in a timely fashion but best of all, the package came with a hand written card thanking me for ordering. That attention to detail makes High Country Outfitters really stand out. You can’t go wrong ordering from here.

The staff at High Country has always given me tremendous service. I must have purchased dozens of Green Eggs from them for golf tourneys and theyve given me the best prices. Winners have absolutely no trouble picking up the product at the end of each tourney. Great store.

Jordyn was incredibly helpful! I called in the morning to get information on paddle boarding and some apparel. She got all the information I needed and put some shorts on hold for me for when I arrived later in the afternoon. Did an e-foil demo with Cooper and had a great experience. On time and gave great instruction with a combo of the right safety steps + giving me some flexibility to learn on my own. The e-foil itself was a blast and would highly recommend anyone who loves being on the water give it a try.

I want to ‘love’ this place, I really do...the selection is very good, the staff are all super helpful and friendly...I go there about once a year and am always reminded why I don’t shop there regularly by the prices! Most recent example was when I went looking for some basic polarized sunglasses...some fancy brands were over $250 for Taiwan’s basic set...even the ones with no trendy branding on the side were $50....ended up stopping by Walgreens and buying essentially the same quality for $19.99...I’m sure the owners of HCO will claim how their pricing is ‘competitive’ with REI and Peter Glenn but two (three) wrongs don’t make a right...you’re all over-priced! SHAME!

It’s my favorite outdoor store of all time. When I do get something there the staff always remembers who I am and greets me with a smile. They’ve got my business.
Every time I go to this store the staff has been kind and gone out of their way to help me. They listen to what you actually need and try to guide you to the best product, not the most expensive. This type of customer service is hard to find.The product selection is significantly better than the big box chain stores. They also have some unique travel items that have been invaluable when I have been overseas.If you haven’t shopped here, you should give it a try. It’s a very nice store with great customer service.
I visited this store today and Im so glad I did.I was in need of a few things for my trip and once I explained what kind of trip it was, Caroline immediately knew what I could use. She was so helpful and honest about what looked good on me. I had several items to choose from and narrowed it down to things that will be very wearable here in Atlanta when I return. The selection of outdoor/adventure and city clothing is great!

The staff and service were great! We rented two kayaks for a day. Renting online was very easy and convenient. The staff had them ready for us and helped us load them onto my vehicles roof rack. They supplied the straps for free with the rental. The kayaks themselves were in great condition and we enjoyed our trip. We would definitely rent from them in the future!

Big fan of High Country here! They have been my primary source for outdoor gear since they outfitted me for a NOLS course in 1980. Great advice, great gear and great people!
Alternative to other outfitters. Dont look for backpacking stoves, but other backpacking items there. Nemo bags, Sea to Summit stuff sacks. Didnt see sleeping pads. Had cool stuff like One Wheels and electric Hydrofoil boards. Hard to find price tags on the clothes which seems to be 2/3 of store
Had an excellent experience with Justin. He helped me get some new running shoes and a few weeks later when there was an issue he remembered me and was happy to help. Really great customer service from them and especially from Justin. Thank you!

This place is the best!! My husband and I are huge Onewheel fans and learned this store was receiving a shipment of their newest edition the Pint and reserved one via phone. However, it was sold by accident. The general manager John Sloan came to my rescue and went above and beyond to locate me another and sincerely apologized for the mixup. He reached out to Onewheel directly, found other retailers that had ordered Pints as well and finally was able to track one down. He then covered the shipping costs to have it overnighted to me! All the while keeping me updated as he worked diligently to locate me one. The customer service experience is beyond compare here, I never expected the extent to which John went. I highly recommend them and will be a loyal customer for years to come!!
3 of my kids and I went in to check the store out and kill time before an event we were attending in the area... we werent planning on buying anything and it was obvious... and that reason I expected to be un-welcomed... HOWEVER, the staff there was awesome! we were obviously dressed for an event and were asked where we were going etc. they gave our kids a bunch of stickers and were genuinely nice and welcoming... WOW... I would go back to shop there just for that!
I was extremely pleased with the staff who helped me at this location today. Haven’t visited a brick and mortar (HCO) store in many years but wanted to try out the OneWheel in person and everyone there was very nice and helpful (especially Dan, I think it was, but can’t recall name for sure). They should be commended for their excellent customer service and if I decide to pull the trigger on the OW (which I almost certainly will) I will get it from them. Keep up the great work!

I went there to test ride the Onewheel pint, but it was snowing. We weren’t sure if we would be allowed to ride it in the snow, but they were extremely nice and let us ride inside the store. Overall great experience with great employees.
Every time I visit High Country everyone is very friendly and also very knowledgeable. Living kess than a mile away is dangerous, if I need an escape from the house this is my go to place.

2022-01-14First time ordering from these guys. I was looking for a specific color Patagonia sweatshirt that no one in my area or even Patagonia direct had in stock. I found High Country Outfitters via a Google search and wow- totally impressed with their online order experience and process. The email alerts, the packaging, and even the hand written thank you note inside the package was all quite a delight! Will be shopping online with these folks again soon! 5 stars plus🙌

2021-12-16Shopping at High Country is like visiting Disney! They have all of the latest and most popular outdoor & casual clothes and sports equipment. Ive become a major Free Fly and Arcteryx fan because of the friendly and super cool people working at the store who know their stuff! You will never be left browsing around aimlessly without someone wanting to help you find exactly what you are looking for. They have fixed me up fashionably for travels to Colorado and have never let me down finding the perfect items I need. And I cant tell you how many pairs of On shoes I have found in their giant collection!! The local owners have done a fantastic job making shopping a great customer experience.
