We were there for check in at 3pm. Our room was not ready until almost 9pm! The front desk lady was not concerned at all nor did she show any urgency in trying to make sure we were accommodated. She sounded annoyed and displayed no kind customer service. She only kept saying the same thing over and over blaming it on housekeeping. My husband and I would not use that place again. Go somewhere else where your money and time is respected!!
Positive: Staff was great. Restaurant food was good. Negative: Didn¿t care for the area the hotel was located in. Very run down area. Parking at $9.95 per day is ridiculous for an ungated parking lot in a sketchy area. We were just glad our car was still there in the morning.
I would not recommend. After driving all day for hours, I was tired and just wanted to go to bed. When I arrived they said their system was down and couldn’t check me in until it got back running. I had to wait an extra 45 minutes in the lobby. Then the room they gave me was not finished being cleaned. The pillows had no pillow slips and the switches for the nightstand lamps were broken. They switched rooms for me and there was a puddle next to the entrance in front of the refrigerator. I hope no mold was accumulating. I was too tired to switch rooms again, so I just stayed there. Also everything is very aged and outdated. No USB charging ports, TVs are old, decorations are old as well. Not the Hilton experience I was expecting.
Thank you to the staff of Hilton Garden in Albany, GA. Special thanks to Robyn who made sure everything went well for my business trip. She and the kitchen staff made sure the breakfast food and stay was perfect. We were very pleased and I will continue to support Hilton hotels especially due to the professionalism.
We did have a couple of minor concerns upon arrival, however Ms. Shelia and her maintenance team (Mr. Don and Mr. Bert) were rocket fast to react and handle even after its 100 degrees and dealing with air issues all day! Thankful for them and the entire team! Be sure and try the Fried Green Tomatoes!!
The Starbucks inside the hotel was never open. I had multiple ladybugs in my room as well. Then on my last night there they hosted a convention, because of this there was absolutely 0, and I mean 0, parking for actual guests staying at the hotel. I was forced to park very far away, and walk in the dark at night. Which wouldn’t be terrible if Albany didn’t have such a high crime rate, and I wasn’t a woman in town alone on a business trip. I called the hotel when I could find no parking near the hotel and they were absolutely no help, basically told me I had to just park far away and get over it. They do not give you their room service menu either so you’re forced to go to the lobby to view their menu in order to get room service. They should have made convention attendees park somewhere else. A lot of them were not staying at the hotel as the next morning at 7am there were now a bunch of open parking spaces. Will not be staying at this hotel again.
First room A/C noisy and disgusting stains on the carpet and 2nd room smelled of cat pee. Mattress was lumpy and uncomfortable, I stay in Hiltons weekly and was extremely disappointed. Can’t believe they have the audacity to charge for parking in a rundown area with no security. Coach at the front desk was friendly and was the only bright spot in an otherwise horrible situation. Stay at the motel 6 you will have the same experience for half the price.
We checked in on April 30, 2022, Got to our room after a day at the zoo with our 3 year old and there was no hot water. We went to the front desk. They did not apologize and were rude like it was our fault. They switched our room to a completely different floor (anyone with kids knows this is a huge inconvenience) we decided to check out all together and make the 2 hour drive home.. We werent even there for more than 10 minutes. I called Priceline to be refunded, Priceline was willing to help and was more then happy to refund us, if the hotel would agree as well. Priceline called the hotel and Sheila at the front desk refused to offer a refund. I believe this is completely unethical of the Hilton brand. Considering we did not stay at their hotel and did not use their services. I work at a Hilton in Arizona and know that this is not how they would want to be portrayed. Hilton corporate called the hotel as well and still the manager reviews to do the right thing and refund us our $186 dollars.
I had been driving all day and just wanted a quick place to rest with my kids.I paid through Expedia and once I got to the hotel, they double charged me... after being charged twice, Im now stuck in Georgia and no where to go WITH MY 2 CHILDREN because their management Wendy and Ms. Gibson wont take 5 minutes to make a phone call and fix their error. Ive given them my phone number 3 times and neither one will return my calls about my refund. They just blame the evening gentleman for the double charge since hes new.Maybe if he were trained properly, this issue wouldnt happen and I wouldnt be stuck.Very unprofessional and extremely frustrating. Our first time visiting Georgia and will never return here.
This hotel is horrible! They have a lady bug infestation in some rooms and they pretended like it is the most natural thing in the world! While lady bugs are harmless, THEY ARE STILL BUGS! And I dont want to sleep with them. They gave us the opportunity to change rooms. The 2 other rooms they gave us also had lady bugs! At which point we just checked. I wanted a refund for the night we were not staying and they informed me that even though, I reserved and paid on their website, the actual payment was through a third party! They offered me points instead of a refund...NOPE! I contacted corporate on Dec 27th and no one has gotten back to me. This happened on December 26th. Called corporate today only to be told they have a non-refundable policy and offered me points again... NO this is not acceptable! I want my money back and will most likely NEVER use this Hilton every again! I will got to a Marriott!
The bad:I stayed in room 518. There was brown mold in the walk in shower. The door to the walk in had started to separate from the wall. The light on the desk was flickering when in use. The ice machine appears to be out of order. The drink machine was completely empty. The good:I like that the parking is fenced in from the public street. The bed and pillows were quite comfy. The rest of the room was well cleaned.
Awesome atmosphere! Nice bar and its right across the street from Ray Charles Plaza where theres a monument of him playing the piano and you hear his music all day long...They serve dinner from 5-10 and breakfast in a very nice setting. The room was the only boring part of the hotel. Great stay though!
I have never stayed at a hotel with such tentative and kind staff. Management has worked with me so kindly as I’ve gotten several rooms for a team over the last couple weeks for local work. From the people at the front who have accepted packages for me willingly and without pushback, the staff who serve breakfast with excellent service, the chefs who make it, and the cleaning staff who do a fantastic job in the lobby areas and rooms. I’m so happy we found this place and i can’t speak highly enough about all the staff! Give everyone a raise, please!
Please dont judge by my stars as we didnt actually stay there or even go in. I give it a 5 star because it looked very nice from the outside and mostly due to location. It is located 5 minutes walking distance from the Flint Riverquarium and across the street from the BEAUTIFUL Albany River Walk and the Ray Charles Plaza. The whole area is really nice and it makes for a great visit. If you want to drive just a short few miles away there is also Radium Springs which is very small but very beautiful....beware of the mesquites though and if they typically bother you I recommend insect repellent.
The staff are welcoming and professional. I’m a bit disappointed at the quality of the rooms in this hotel. They are not with the price per night. I think that you could get the same level of quality rooms for less money at one of the other hotels in the area. I think that this is one of those situations where you’re paying for the Hilton name. The rooms are sorely in need of upgrading. The lobby area is nice.
Overall the visit was fine I tried to check Inone hour before check in time and was very disappointed that I could not. I was initially charged an incidental fee and have never been charged that kind of fee at any of Hiltons properties and I have stated at many Hampton Inns and Hiltons over the years. When I checked out the incidental charges did not remain so I dont know what kind of incidental charges were expected to be made.
5 stars only due to the awesome front desk welcome (didnt catch her name) and then Ms. Caroline and Ms. Ann in the evening made us feel so at home and welcome! The rooms are dated and found a few hairs in the linens (Im confident they were cleaned but maybe run a linen bush over them and just look before making the bed). Keep your awesome employees, but probably need to refresh the rooms and cleaning routines.
Very clean hotel. Even though it was older and you could tell it was still very clean. I work at a Hilton so of course when I go into a room I act like I am inspecting it. I ran my fingers on top of everything, headboard, paintings, fire alarm, EVERYTHING and it was so clean. Also an amazing location the water is a 2 minute walk away there is an aquarium in walking distance and plenty of parks for people with kids. Hallways are very hot though. Overall amazing stay!
I am so very happy to write this review, but so very sad that I had to travel on.I am a travel RN and have been using Hilton during my contracts. I usually stay 3 months in a location.Hilton Garden Inn in Albany Ga has been one of my favorites and I will definitely be back to them if I work in Albany Ga again. From the front desk staff to the restaurant staff to housekeeping and groundskeeper, I never met anyone without a smile. Any request was honored and any glitch was handled promptly and with the customer in mind.My room was always cleaned when I asked. Bedding and towels etc were top notch. As a night shift worker they did not interrupt my schedule. The restaurant was clean, well managed and the food was excellent. Everyone worked hard to make sure I felt welcomed and at home. For Hilton THIS property is a standard to compare to. I am so very thankful to have had my stay here and will always hold them up to anyone needing a recommendation of safe , friendly and value for money.
Somebody reported a noise and I was awakened by the front desk guy, Elijah asking if I had loud noise at 5 am in the morning. When I went downstairs to ask why he woke me up instead of sending security to see where the noise was coming from, he told me that there was no security and he was alone at the front desk. That made me very worry to learn that there was no security in the hotel, and upset for being awaken in the middle of my sleep. I am not very happy how the manager Sheila handled this by offering me 20K points (not enough for one night in any Hilton property). I am still waiting (today is 9/21) for a answer from guest relations. I dont ever want to stay in this hotel again.
Great place to stay. Very busy. The room I had was on the backside of the hotel but I had heard that the front side was disturbed by the loud music across the street. All in all, staff are very nice and accommodating and kept very tidy and clean. Keep up the great work!
Checked into my room sat on the bed and was greeted by the biggest cockroach I ve ever seen. When I was able to stop screaming and my heat beat again, I contact the front desk who said your gonna have to deal with that. I asked for a new room and was told they were sold out. I said I am going to check out then and she said ok we are still charging you the $167. I asked for the manager to contact me and they never did. I contacted the Hilton Diamond desk, told her the whole story and she asked do you feel better now? What happened to customer service? Hilton has lost all sense of the words. So beware you may have guests in your room if you choose to stay here! I have photos as proof but I cant post them here.
My room was not available at the check in time and the front desk staff were not concerned. My room had body hair on the bathroom floor, shower floor and shower walls. The room was moist and damp, so the A/C was not working properly. The shower leaked all night long and the bed squeaked horribly if you rolled over. I reported all of my concerns but I did not feel confident that staff members took my grievances seriously.
Nice and Clean ... Beds were a tad bit hard and Rooms were very tight on space. My kids Loved the pool even at 70 degrees outside. Waffle house right next door. There is also a Checkers a few miles away which was exciting. We didnt really find much open or things to do in the area otherwise.
I had a great stay here for two weeks in June. The staff are absolutely wonderful! Incredibly polite and helpful. I especially appreciated the front desk manager Kaysha who went above and beyond to make our stay great. I also thought the breakfasts were some of the best that I have had at any hotel. The grits, poached eggs, bacon and fresh fruit are all delicious. And the wait staff at hotel restaurant were excellent, especially Ms. Caroline and a few others whose names I cant remember, but who remembered me and how I like my tea. :-D The whole hotel was clean and I appreciated that they were taking precautions around COVID-19 seriously. I will definitely be coming back.
Absolutely amazing! The view was breathtaking! Staff were very inviting. The room and everything in it was very clean. I didnt want to leave! I really enjoyed breakfast. Chef is awesome, I want another omelet! Our waiter, Marquis was really great as well. Very great first stay here!
My stay was great. Clean rooms. The morning GSR and manager were very rude and inconsiderate. After adding my dad’s name to reservation they still would not let him check in. I spoke with Carmella ( A GSR on 2nd Shift) she was very nice and gave me no problems at all. She made my stay very comfortable. The morning shift crew need a little more training in customer service.
I am currently working on a project in Albany, GA. for several weeks and decided to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn. I am more than happy with my choice. The entire staff goes out of their way to accommodate any requests that I have had. The front desk staff always acknowledges me as I come and go. The rooms I have had are clean and I feel confident that housekeeping takes the extra steps to ensure Covid-cleanliness throughout the hotel. Also, the restaurant and lounge have good food and drinks. I would like to extend a special thank you for your hospitality to Alfree J and K Hill for making me feel welcome.
Pleasant and light. Thats important when you travel during a pandemic. The building and accommodations are lovely, clean, and comfortable too but the people make the place. Always professional and consummate hosts around every corner. And the view of Ray Charles memorial park is wonderful too.
Very clean up to date motel. The WiFi was so weak that my phone wouldnt connect. The ice machine on the 4th of 5 floors didnt work. I tried to call the desk to ask where I might get ice and each time I tried to call it was busy. Then I tried the other services on the phone and all I got was a busy signal. I called the motel using my cell phone and the call was answered on the first ring. I told the clerk the ice machine on my floor wasnt working and asked where to get ice. He told me he thought the machine on the 2nd floor was working but wasnt sure. Thankfully it was working. Speaking if ice, the tub bottom was like ice.The furnishings where good. We got a comfortable nights sleep.
The place is amazing. The staff are super nice.while there the smoke alarm went off a little after 6am.the only thing about that was in my opion is what if a person is deaf and did not hear it.i think all rooms should have the flashing or blinking light, but other than that the place is amazing
Love this brand of hotel. This one as parking issues, especially for the handicapped or cars with trailers. Property somewhat land-locked as it is downtown.Beautiful location, on the river. Generous rooms, well appointed, and the staff was Friendly and helpful. No free breakfast, but all you care to order in the convenient dining room. They have Starbucks in lobby and room service!Hallways were warm, but rooms cool. We enjoyed our stay & would return.
I have stayed here numerous times and have enjoyed my stay. It is a quiet area during the weekends as it is located downtown. The support staff were very friendly and helpful, however the desk clerks could certainly use some training in customer service. My initial experience was during my check in on one occasion where the individual was busy carrying on a personal conversation with another staff member and did not have the professional courtesy of acknowledging my presence and not greeting me and also not even extending the courtesy to wish me a happy stay. I found her to be rude and very unprofessional.
The room was very clean, but upon arrival our room was not clean due to late checkout from previous guest. The room with the no view was given to us. This room needs to be taken off of the inventory. Who wants to look at a chip painting roof with no view. We should have been compensated for this.
Very enjoyable. I attended the farmers annual conference there . Which was a first for myself an my wife .Very informative a learning experience. Dinner was served which I didn’t expect. The staff did an excellent job , the servers the cooks everything was excellent. The Hilton was very clean ( believe me I pay close attention to cleanliness) little cold but the air was adjusted to a comfortable level for all . This was a 2 day event music , karaoke , dancing. I’m looking forward to attending next years event.
The staff is very friendly and polite. Every encounter with staff was pleasant. The room was nice but the floor and ottoman was stained. We choose to stay here to take advantage of the hot tub. However, despite listing and the photos, the hot tub was filled it with concrete and there was patio furniture on top. In addition the shower was cold on our second day. First day was fine. The food is also very good.
Very clean, cozy and warmth feeling as soon as you enter the hotel. Rooms are very clean. All staff very friendly, front desk very helpful. Across the street from hotel is a park, that has a nice walking trail. This is the place to be. Hotel not only has a restaurant, they have a star bucks as well.
The staff was very friendly but the rooms werent as nice as most Hiltons Ive stayed in before. The bed squeaked and the AC was really loud. Ive come to expect a little more. I used the gym and the screen on the stationary bike wasnt working but aside from that, it was adequate. I did have salmon and grilled veggies from the restaurant and that was good for hotel food. All in all it was a good stay.
Traveling for business. Check-in was problematic due to a large number of guests that hadnt checked out on time. I had to wait an additional hour for my room to become available. Once in the room however I enjoyed my stay. Clean, decent amenities and a convenient location.
Meets and exceeds expectations for Hilton Garden Inn. Room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was fantastic. The food and coffee were very good and the service was exceptional. Shannon was our server and she was working the whole breakfast on her own. She did a great job. She greeted us quickly and brought me a cup of coffee before I even sat down. Good for families!
Love the location and the staff but the hotel itself was just okay. The hallways and elevators has no air (very stuffy and hot)! The bed had a huge dip in the middle of the mattress. The iron cord would not stay extended while ironing. The ironing board pad was flimsy and kept falling off. Notable things were in poor condition. But the staff was nice and the neighbors were quiet.
The room was nice enough - but literally all nightm they had a deep bass music playing, kept me awake for hours. The outside needs to be washed. Pretty sure I observed a drug deal in the park across the street. The homeless population stayed a block away. The abandoned buildings would have added to a late October stay, very spookym even in the day. The Waffle House was pretty ok, but ended up with trainees.
The hotel is very nice, though the floors could use a little more cleaning. Also the bathrooms do not have changing tables which made it difficult for me with my 10 month old son. Otherwise everything was great, staff was very nice and we felt very welcome in the lobby.
I was not a customer but was downtown for the marathon. The area was packed with runners and supporters and I stopped inside. I was impressed with professionalism and politeness of staff handling the whirlwind of people, the cleanliness of the lobby and restroom, and the overall welcoming feel, and never heard a single complaint during the chaos. Again I wasnt staying and cant speak for the rooms but based on my interactions and impression I would recommend the hotel to family or friends visiting.
The staff at this hotel are number one in customer service. I arrived late after a long drive with my 91 year old mother to visit my sister who was critically ill in the hospital. We were exhausted, starving and tearful. The precious girls at the front desk ( please see who checked us in and out) the lady in the dining room, Anne, and the security guard Mr. Simmons took such good care of me and more importantly my mother. I was so grateful to be surrounded by such caring people and I felt safe leaving my mother in her room while I spent a late night at the hospital with my sister. The housekeeping staff were equally kind and attentive and helpful. Also the food in the dining was very good. My mom is so hard to please and she loved everyone and everything at the Hilton Garden Inn. Also I was so thankful that even though the hotel was sold out it was very quiet. I stayed in a room overlooking the park across the street and river. very pretty. I will always stay at this hotel when visiting Albany. I would like to thank everyone there for making a difficult journey easier for our family.
It is pretty and comfortable and the staff were very nice. The water pressure was so slight it took almost 30 minutes to get the Jacuzzi filled up enough to run.We booked a special deal with breakfast included and when we got here they said it would be 11.50 per person ..I have never had to pay for a Continental breakfast..Its not as though they offered anything that great.
First I will start off with the staff everyone I encountered was the bomb with their customer service! Breakfast was the best I ever had for a hotel hot breakfast and the hotel is very well kept! Now their room could use a lot of renovations and upgrades from the leaky faucets and outdated furniture but you know the great customer service helps you overlook this!
I enjoyed my stay overall. I had a great view of the park and river. The only issue I had is that I didnt realize that the continental breakfast was $7 for the very basics, and that didnt even include my coffee. Id recommend going to the waffle house behind the hotel instead.
Good little hotel for those visiting Albany, Ga. Staff is super friendly and bend over backwards to help with whatever you need. Their continental breakfast is not free, and is over priced for what they have. They have an option for a more extensive breakfast, but this is over priced as well. Dinner and drinks within the hotel are reasonable, but there are several cheaper places within walking distance of the hotel.Rooms were cleanish, and serviced daily by a limited staff who seem to be overworked, yet still extremely helpful and friendly. The staff there made the experience enjoyable.
The employees at this hotel are very friendly and helpful. First night there was great! Second night, there was a group of unsupervised kids in the next room. They were loud and very inconsiderate. Weekend night, so tolerated it until midnight before calling front desk. Noise continued til 2:30 a.m.
Room was NOT cleaned very well. I stayed here 4 nights and the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night several times. Uncomfortable beds. No water pressure in the shower. The staff acted like they didnt want to be there. When I complained that the Whirlpool in my room was not working correctly, I was told to hit the emergency shut off button and deal with it. No refund, compensation or even an apology. I asked to switch rooms and was told they werent able to help me. Dont waste your time here. Stay at the Hampton near the mall. You will have a MUCH better experience.
I had a wonderful stay here, the hotel was right across the street from the Albany Civic Center where were going for a concert and on the other side the river and Ray Charles memorial. It was a very nice location central to about everything with a wonderful view. The hotel staff was friendly the room superb. My only con about my stay here was the unfortunate charge for a smoking fee. I did follow up with hotel staff to be partly given an explanation but I did follow up through Twitter.
While hotel is clean, it appears that the kitchen and restaurant area are run by another employment group. IE... when the kitchen stops their service for breakfast or dinner, it is CLOSED and hotel staff is “unable” to walk into that area. This includes all things from a cup of milk to using the toaster which sits clearly on the counter. Plan accordingly.
Had to attend a yearly conference. Booked our room thru a third party. Room was so nice. Very clean!! Staff was so nice. Helpful. And professional. Customer Service was a 5 plus. Hotel stay for next years conference will definitely be Hilton Garden in Albany Georgia.
Great location right off the Flint River and directly across the street from the Ray Charles monument. Night life is within walking distance. Restaurants are within a 5-10 minute drive. All of the staff were friendly during our stay. The hotel restaurant has a decent selection and good service as well.
Ive came to this venue to enjoy an awesome woman of God preach. I feel that it was all about the money because they booked a party the same time as a women empowerment conference. The music from the party over powered the speaker of the venue. This place just want the money from the young lady who book the event. They will double book & lie about it the whole entire time. No parking was available. If you choose to have a party, luncheon, & conference this is not the venue to use greed show its face at the Hilton.
Hotel was fine staff was super friendly. It was on the wrong side of town if you want to walk to any restaurants. All of the new development is on the other side of town. 15 minute drive is what I was told. Still a great hotel in the heart of downtown Albany if that is what you need.
The check in was great. I checked in through the app and requested a digital. About an hour and a half before my scheduled arrival time a young lady, I believe her name was Jessica, gave me a call. She was as perhaps one of the nicest people I have ever spoken to and requested that I stop in at the front desk to confirm my payment method. Not a problem since I usually grab a physical key as well. She was just as nice in person. Parking here is not the best. They have a very small lot to left of the building with key access and an even smaller lot out front. What boggles my mind is that they have a largest lot to the right of the building but no key access, you have to walk around to the front lobby door. That is less than pleasurable when it is rain as the walkway is not covered. The restaurant in the lobby is small, but nice. The menu is limited. I ate here my first night and had their burger. I was really pleased with it though, and would get it again. My server was awesome! She was so sweet and attentive. I just had water, but my glass never went empty. The odd bit is that they dont do room service. I work in my room often and find the convenience a big plus. The rooms are a bit older, but were comfortable enough. The shower heads are great and have really good pressure. The beds are nice enough that I slept really well my first and second nights. This may seem odd to mention, but the TVs are positioned toward the front of the dresser. This makes watching TV while sitting at the desk awkward at best.I switched rooms after my second night because I found ants on my bed side table and one in the bed I was sleeping in. I get that stuff like that can happen so it doesnt freak me out too much, but Im cant stay in that room. I took a picture of one of the ants and headed down to the front desk. I spoke to the young man behind the counter requesting a different room mentioning the ants. He only asked my room number and went to using his computer. I showed him the picture of the ants to which he replied yup, thats an ant. There were no apologies for the inconvenience of switching rooms, no apologies for bugs in the bed I was sleeping in, no acknowledgement that anything was out of the ordinary. I know it is not his fault, but he should be apologizing on behalf of the hotel. I was not seeking anything free. I am a Diamond member and the Hilton brand has taken good care of me. While laying in bed for my third night I decided that I am switching hotels and heading to the Hilton in Tifton. Pain in the butt, but that just rubbed me the wrong way.
Housekeeping was running behind due to several events, so room wasnt ready when I arrived several hours after check in time. Front desk did their best to make me comfortable, but it was a bit disappointing. Otherwise the room and facilities were clean, comfortabl, and in general good order.
I wont use a hotel comforter. The only blanket available was the comforter. I turned on the heat so i wouldnt need a blanket, and the heater emitted a burning smell that set off the smoke alarm. Granted, it was August and the heater likely wasnt used all summer, but the smell lingered all night and there wasnt a window to open or fan available to air out the room. The view was horrible, as it was just a wall with a window to the hotel hallway. Customer service was really good. The bed was comfortable.
I did not stay here but I attended for a conference. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very nice. The onlybissue i had was parking. I had to park across the street at the civic Center. Directly across the street is a beautiful monument to Ray Charles.
Get your rate and particulars in writing. Include who confirmed these as not all things as expected. Except for the managers and phone conversations prior to arrival , the front desk staff were good. They did all the managers would allow them to do. The managers need to read the guarantee over as they are not interested in your complete satisfaction. All the other staff were fabulous.Again get everything double checked prior to arrival.
I checked in Friday June 28th at 130 pm they let me check in early .never stayed at a Hilton garden checked out today July 1. I got to my room I was amazed by the decor .And the cleaness of the room.Ever one on staff that I ran into was nice and pleasent . I will be backAs far as dinner for kids at the restaurant. They need to have more to pick from .
How much better can you do then have a Quality Hotel Room overlooking the Memorial Park to one of the Greatest (if not THE Greatest) R&B, Blues & Jazz Pianists the World has ever heard... Brother Ray Charles.Very clean rooms, all the amenities, friendly wait staff, a decent inside restaurant and a Starbucks on site... What more could you want!
Our room was great & everything was clean, but the Wi-Fi was really bad and my partner and I needed to do work this weekend while away from home. Also you would think for the price they would be like a continental breakfast but it’s still $12 a person. The shower head is TINY & doesn’t have good pressure at all (no actual tub - the floor just continues onto the shower). It’s quite awkward. Finally, there’s a $50 authorization charge when you check in. I’ve stayed at many hotels and I’ve never had that. Obviously it goes back but it’s pretty inconvenient.
This is a really nice hotel, the service was excellent. The room was big and clean and spacious. The location for being in the heart of Albany was very good. I did feel like it was overpriced for a hotel room, but it was really nice I would go back again, so long as I could afford it.
I spent one night March 14th, unfortunately I wasnt told the roof was being replaced. I listened to horrible banging noises four solid hours. Finally around 8:00pm the noise stopped!I called guest service the young lady was very kind and apologized. Honestly I want a refund that would be absolutely fair!!Customers comfort should always be considered during renovation. Discount service, offer a free meal.....something! Shame on you Hilton😔
This is my go to hotel for any trip to Albany. The only reason for four 4 vs 5 was that the age of the hotel is starting to show a little. The service is outstanding, theres a great restaurant, and it is easy to find. It is directly across the street from Albany State University. The Flint River is also out front with a park to walk. Very nice and at the center of town.
I checked in Saturday night and checked out Sunday morning for $170 a night at the Hilton Hotel in Albany, Ga. The view was horrible in room 320. I thought I was charged wrong after I checked my account so I went back down to talk with the manager who had left after I checked in. That room was definitely not worth the cost. Highway Robbery!!
The wifi is not free, the pool is not heated, the hot tub does not exist anymore. The door to the pool locked us outside and we had to bang on the window to get someone to let several of us in(yes we had our key, the door was jammed). The breakfast is not free. They charge for everything. I bought breakfast one day and it charged my card 3 times (back to back the exact same amount). The staff is friendly and greets you Everytime. But for what you and the ammenties you have, I dont believe it is worth it. The bed is hard. It does have a flat screen TV, the bar area looks nice, it was clean.
I was there recently with my church group that had our Annual Sister to Sister Christmas gift exchange. I ordered a 9 piece chicken wing and fries. I paid 4 bucks for 9and a half fries and my chicken was not fully cooked. I have the pictures to prove it, because I made sure I took pictures of the dissatisfaction I felt of their food. My meal total was 16.05 and I still paid for the food even though I shouldnt have. It was a Christmas party and I was more interested in having a good time. I just prayed I didnt get salmonella poisoning or became sick because of the undercooked chicken.
We had a good stay staff was very polite, suite was very clean. The overall appearance was just like the pictures on their website. I will be going back and look forward to seeing the staff and excellent service. Azizah, Nakam and Miss Linda and the rest of the staff see yall soon
We choose this hotel for the name and reputation of Hilton. We were vastly disappointed. The bed and pillows were awful, my fiancé and I could not get comfortable. We kept getting sucked into the bed, there was no support or way to get comfortable. The hotel is located in downtown Albany, we could here conversations of yelling and fussing from the streets, we were on the 4th floor.Overall we would not recommend or stay at this hotel again. Very disappointed in this Hilton.
My review is about uncleanliness and how i was treated as a customer. The hotel itself is nice but before check in, he called housekeeping to assure room was clean before giving my key. I went to my room put my bags down then went on my outing. I came back hoping yo utilize the Jacuzzi tub however it was very dirty and blond brown hair was in it also only two of the spigots had water flowing very slow. I called front desk to see if housekeeping could come and clean the tub and if maintenance would check on the flow of the water or fix the other four spigots. Front desk tells me housekeeping is gone, I asked could I get some supplies and I would clean it myself, he stated he didnt have access but maintenance was coming to check on the tub. 30 minutes passed and no knock on the door. I called back down and asked what was taking so long, he then tells me no one is coming and nothing is wrong with it. Hmmmm so I had to call back thirty minutes later to get that response? I told him this is now a complaint and I am not satisfied, he said all he could do was offer me free breakfast. I went to Walmart bought cleaning supplies and finally enjoyed my night. Morning comes I expected to have free breakfast but that was not the case. He lied and didnt put it on my account so I had to buy our breakfast. This Is my experience and I hope if you go through this someone will respond. I complained and no one has responded to me period. These pics are of the slow flow of water on full blast, no flow of water, hair and dirt.
Its an economically depressed area and I doubt Id vacation there, but the staff at the HGI Albany was the best of all the hundreds of work trips and mini vacations weve taken around the country - just as kind and accommodating and welcoming as you could imagine. The place is moderately nice, but the lobby, dining, bar, and coffee cafe (Starbucks) was very pleasant and updated. The convention area very nice as well, and quitearge, with the convention center right across the street. Well kept pool, and small but impressively equipped fitness center.
This is the dirtiest HGI I’ve ever stayed in. I keep forgetting not to stay here and remember why each time I get checked into my room. Everything is always half cleaned and those small details matter to me. The doors, light switches, toilet and floors are filthy. I could only imagine what I can’t see. Definitely not worth the price.
Very nice accommodations and friendly staff. Also sits right across from Ray Charles Plaza which is a One of a Kind Park commemorating the birth of Ray Charles in Albany Georgia. So with it being Downtown Albany be careful of your surroundings at all times especially after Dark.
Booked the wrong date while evacuating from Hurricane Irma and they REFUSE to refund me for the room that I never even used as the date was wrong and they had no rooms available. Hope you feel good about stealing $150 from natural disaster victims who made a simple mistake while evacuating for their lives...
Stayed at this hotel for a business trip, the parking was extremely limited so I had to park behind the hotel (only spot left). After parking, I followed up with the receptionist about my concerns in regards to parking in this area with no lights or surveillance cameras. She assured me the hotel has a 24/7 security guard and my car would be fine. Keep in mind, this is after I asked her if I could park in the main entrance - she refused, said she’d have to tow my car if I left it there. The very next morning, not only my car, but 7 other vehicles were broken into (in all areas of the parking lot). Smashed window & stripped my car of all valuables, totaling $600 - spoke with management about this, they apologized and did absolutely nothing from there. People I know from Albany, GA told me not to stay in this area - said it was a very sketchy part of town, even the police officer told me there have been multiple car break-in’s at this hotel. THIS IS YOUR WARNING.
My stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Albany Georgia was great. I didnt run into any issues with the hotel staff or the hotel in general. The hotel seems to be an older Hotel but well-kept. Parking was a little bit annoying because the parking lot was so small but wasnt unmanageable. Some of the parking was on the road surrounding the hotel.

2022-05-01I am EXTREMELY disappointed in my stay. First, they did not tell me upon check in that I had to request room to be cleaned. They cleaned it the first night. Then it was never cleaned again. Went out and came back at 7pm. Nothing. Went back out and came back after 9. Nothing. We requested wash clothes, they ran out. The next day requested AGAIN and two hours later still no washcloths. We changed our own linen. We requested the room clean yesterday for today. We have been waiting since 12pm and still no cleaning. My kids have had to sit in the hotel lobby waiting. Tried going to the pool to waste time and still not cleaned before we came back. Three hours of waiting around……nothing. The stay was ruined and I will be reaching out to the corporate office as well. I offered to check out and leave a day early and couldn’t because it was a third party billing. They ruined the day for us and there should be some compensation. I hope other guests did not have to endure this and after a two room, 4 day rental. I paid way too much for this type of service.

2022-01-25From the time I arrived at the front desk checked in everything was smooth easy I was welcomed! Normally you wouldnt expect this type of hotel and service in a small little city area like that especially since Im coming from Atlanta, but I was surprised I got top notch service. I wasnt feeling the best while I was there and I was trying to feel a little bit better but my stay and interacting with everyone made everything a lot better. If youre in the Albany area you wont be disappointed I promise you.

2022-05-04Great location in Albany. The staff was friendly, helpful, and cheerful. We checked in really late and were greeted openly and warmly. I cant say enough great things about this hotel. Great lounge areas, nice, huge meeting rooms and across the street from a great park and entertainment complex. If youre anywhere near Albany, dont hesitate to stop here. Well worth the money. I took lots of pictures so Ill let them speak for themselves.

2022-02-22Best service I’ve received at a hotel recently. From the management front desk to housekeeping (Michele) was very nice.. Everyone was super delightful and accommodating, the bartender also with the exception of my visiting Albany to lay my Aunt to Rest. The staff at the Hilton treated me like family with the kindness and professionalism that was displayed .

My room was clean and this hotel all the amenities I needed to have a pleasant stay. 2022-04-24During my stay it was easier to eat breakfast at the hotel before departure. Ms. Floyd was there all three days and had a friendly personality, made sure everyone was cared for. Robin and Cynthia also we’re excellent in guaranteeing your breakfast was cooked to order. Ny’kimria was also very friendly and helpful. Thanks Hilton for starting off my day in a great way with this team!

2022-05-08Ms. Sheila knows how to run her business. She is very professional and motherly! She always greets you with a warm smile. Windy at the front desk was so nice and professional. The chef and the ladies that hosted my daughters graduation party too great care of my entire family! Robin and Silverlene put the right people in charge of food and beverage! Thank you Hilton Family!

2022-05-31First, the staff at this hotel are exceptional. But both times Ive stayed, Ive been kept awake by ridiculously loud music from cars on the street. Im on the top floor so cant get any further away. I guess maybe if I was on the back side it would be better, but who knows. I know this isnt the hotels fault, but this makes for a terrible experience. Literally the only thing I want to do here is sleep. Im laying in bed feeling frustrated. Ive got the fan running on the AC, but it doesnt drown it out. I just want to cry. Im exhausted from driving all day.

2022-04-16We had a wonderful stay at the Hilton Garden Inn, Albany. The rooms are a little outdated, but the cleanliness and customer service was top notch. We really enjoyed the food at the restaurant and the drinks in the bar area. All of the employees are very pleasant and well trained.

2022-03-09Great stay. Outstanding staff.I did have a billing problem but the fault seemed to come from an error at the central reservations and not the property. Even though the property was not willing/able to make the refund the person I dealt with was polite and professional. Hilton central reservations is correcting their mistake.I look forward to staying here again (with clearer communications on the reservations.)
