Hobby Lobby in other cities:
Great hobby products. Hobby Lobby now has a new, and more convenient location on Woodward Mill Boulevard. This new dig is a larger footprint than the old local. This is a great opportunity for their store and should attract more shoppers. There is plenty of area for ease of movement in the aisles. There is no shortage of Thanksgiving decor to choose from at the moment and the Christmas trees will be there soon.
Employee racially profiled my friend and her mother and accused them of stealing when they were just looking at stickers. Continuously hounded them over and over until they “proved” they weren’t stealing something that cost $2. Not surprising from this company considering their history, but this sort of behavior is never acceptable. All of your customers deserve to be treated with respect.
Always so many great items! The craft and creation supplies are extensive. We shop regularly for items for decorating, parties, gifts, and science and other school projects 😀. Their buyers who choose items to sell in the store always have a great eye for interesting, creative and unique items. Love it!
I love hobby lobby. I just do. This location is large, and always has so much stuff. The staff members I have encountered have been polite and helpful. Considering how much merchandise is in the store, it is pretty well organized and maintained. You can always find some sort of sale. Or a coupon online. Or someone in the store who will give you a heads up on when the items your interested in go on sale LOL
They always have what Im looking for at fair prices. Can find some good markdowns on occasion. Large selection of fabrics. Love looking around at their beautiful holiday items. Purchased colored T Shirts for my kids to create club shirts. Bought stencils, fabric paint and brushes, all were priced well. Check out my pics to see our final products.
Great place to shop. Always filled with interesting ideas for projects and crafty ways to express yourself. I was really impressed with the selection on man cave items they recently introduced. The service here is always pleasant and, even though the place may look crowded, there is almost no waiting necessary at check out.
Nice place, where you can find all kinds of stuff for crafts and hobbies, although some areas are subject to a limited range of choices. We had a question about a certain item that was not marked in price at all, and we had to wait a long time to get an answer, finally leaving without one, not able to wait any longer. It is what it is, and we will be back, but also the prices are simply way too high. It seems the owners of Hobby Lobby may require an unreasonably high margin, because the store generally is not that busy. Many of the items I know for a fact I can get so much cheaper from other sources. The store needs to simply be more competitive, and maybe that would draw more customers. Either way, it is nice to have everything in one place, and we will be back.
I love everything about Hobby Lobby! EXCEPT this particular store. Staff is not friendly. Not once was I asked if I needed help. This week had a big sale on home decor, candles, floral, etc. I spent over an hour picking certain items that were under a sale sign and making sure it was included in the fine print. When I checked out, the employee Dystanee could care less about the sale and would only put certain things under the sale price. When I asked her why certain ones were not included, she would say oh, it doesnt fit the description. I guess a circular decorative item is no longer a sphere, and a candle is no longer a candle. When I got home, I looked online, and my items should have been on sale as listed. They fit the categories. Im going to return everything as this was a horrible experience, and I ended up paying twice as much for items that I spent time on making sure they would qualify. Terrible experience and would never recommend this store to anyone.
As soon as you are able to find the section you are looking for, you can find a lot of great products in this store. On a few of my visits, I have had a difficult time finding the products I need, getting less than stellar assistance from employees. Little more than a point in the right direction, instead of assuring I get to the correct spot to find what I am looking for. That being said, I still have had mostly positive experiences here, finding a lot of great products to use for my crafts. Checkout speed could be improved, but the availability of ever-changing discounts on goods and a 40% off of one item coupon available on the website(as well as good selection) tidy things up and make the overall experience a positive one.
Hobby Lobby is the BEST place to visit when you are looking for Arts and Craft supplies.Their prices are so competitive even better than any other in the industry. There is always a huge discount en every department throughout the store and always 40% coupon for any regular price item in the store. The associates are friendly and helpful. They have restrooms in the promises. And they also offer different arts and craft classes for adults and for children (classes and schedules vary from store to store). This place is definitely an artists heaven!!!
We always go to Hobby Lobby to buy items for the house. When it opened, we liked this one better to the one in Lawrenceville because not a lot of people would be there. Our experiences these last few times have been awful. The last one was the drop. Let’s just say that they give you the level of customer service depending on your appearance.
I love hobby lobby! If you want anything to do with art and crafts or just want to find neat things to decorate youre house, this is the place to go. The staff is very generous and will help you in any way they can, all you need to do is ask. There is usually many offers all around the store which would make anyones eyes widen in excitement!
2/25/21 update: On this visit encountered 6 or more people in my walking path WITHOUT masks. Hobby Lobby is not posting masks required (as other stores do). Very disappointed they are not supporting their customers safety. If you are social distancing, AVOID this location.NOTE: This review went from 5 stars to 1 star.*****Great place for crafters and finding home decor. If you load their app, youll always have a 40%off coupon.
I was looking for some decorations for a table scape for a ladies breakfast. I was pointed to the general direction by the first employee, after looking around and not finding what I needed. The next employee took me to the aisle and found it for me!!!! Customer service still exist, the table looked beautiful.
Love shopping at Hobby Lobby. This locations layout is pretty easy to navigate. Always a good variety of home decor that is well priced with great sales that cycle through at various periods. Also a great stop for all sorts of crafting needs from sewing to paper crafts to party planning and seasonal decor!
I have never met a person better at customer service than Margot in the fabrics department!! She is most of the reason I will be shopping at Hobby Lobby more often! She helped me find the perfect fabric for the right price, and she gave me wonderful ideas & advice. She was just lovely.
Employee tried to sell us a floor model Martin Stiletto brand drafting chair which was $74.99, full price. Not a Your Price or Reduced Price but the employee told the cashier to ring it up as a Your Price for $74.99 so we could not use our 40% coupon. This means, the employee purposely put a Your Price of $74.99. The cashier was very rude and told us over and over we could not use a coupon on the item, even when we told her the $74.99 price is not a Your Price or Reduced Price. After I checked out, I went back and took a photo of the price tag. The small print clearly says no additional coupons can be used for a Your Price/Reduced Price, and this item was neither.Full price for a floor model and we could not even use a coupon. Thanks Hobby Lobby.
Wish the aisles were a little wider. Always have a large selection of acrylic yarn colors, which is usually why I come in. Would love a larger selection of fabric. Its mostly catering towards the quilting crowd which leaves much to desire for seamstresses, cosplayers, and costumers. Prices are fair.
I have to agree with other post, it feels like I’m followed around the store while I’m shopping. I’ll be in one aisle all by myself reading and looking at items and BAM a staff person will pop up out of no where. Mind you they don’t ask me if I need help or even speak, they just touch stuff or put stuff away....where’s the customer service? Now I threw it away the first 2 times but by the end of my visit I was irritated. This is not my favorite location maybe I need to find a new location or only shop at Micheal’s.
Im old enough to remember when ALL stores were closed on Sunday, and the rest were open late one night a week. You build inconveniences into your life if theyre important to you. I thoroughly enjoyed being waited on at Hobby Lobby by associates who liked their jobs and who were cordial to customers. Perhaps, if the whole family gets one day a week off together - and takes advantage of it - then these might be people who are happy in their core area (family), are happy to have a job, and not resentful of customers. Thank you, Margot, for personally finding and handing me my $1.99 needle threader!
Its safe to say that i will never be coming back here. For a store that claims they are a christian place, they sure are judgmental. Im an artist and i came in looking for quite a variety of different things. Easily $400 worth of stuff. Every isle i went down, the store manager followed me, .along with a few other employees from time to time. I felt harassed and violated. This store manager and these people give christians a bad name. I may look a little rough with tattoos and peircings but that does not give them the right to treat me like im some kind of theif. If i could give 0 stars i would.
There were no employees . . . ANYWHERE! Tried the front counter, frames, walked the aisles. Only 1 cashier with a line of 12 customers waiting to check out. A manager was called to the back, wherever that is! No one was there to help me find items or answer questions. No signs are up yet to guide you to what you need. If youre going to build a bigger store, I think you have to hire more employees. And signage is very important if you have little to no staff on the floor. Just a thot!
I just never had a bad experience at Hobby Lobby. I never had poor service there either. Tons of stuff and it seems they carry things you didnt think you needed.TIP: Go on line before you go. You will probably find an on-line discount coupon you can download to your smartphone.
Biased since the company policies do not agree with me however...if you even appear to be shoplifting, (cameras everywhere. Observers not paying attention) you will be accosted. Not stopped, but brought to your knees. I do not shoplift. I need to remove my reading glasses from my purse. Horrible. Shop Michaels instead.
Love this Store. They have great hobby and craft items. If i have a question they always help me out even if they have to ask 2 or 3 people to find the right person that knows about the item or hobby im doing and lets me know what i need and how to use. Great customer service. Love the weekly 40% off coupon. Also the prices are great. Love decorating my home with furniture and items i created myself with the crat items from Hobby Lobby!!!! I read other comments and alot people dont like that they are closed on sunday but i think that giving their employees sunday off is great a chance to be with there family and go to church or any religon that person believes in they have a day to rest.
Ive shopped at Hobby Lobby for nearly thirty years in several states. They have always had issues with stocking only two of each item at any given time in some departments and with lengthy periods of lttle or no stocking because of a strange reset policy. Recently, this has gone to extremes as they clear goods with as much as six weeks of empty shelves as they wait on the reset team. This is flat not acceptable to a customer. I am also very tired of waiting in lengthy lines while managers or others employees meader around the registers ignoring the problem. I love the store, but these issues need to be addressed.
Waited in framing department only to be told she was busy writing an order and still has others to attend to before me. Only ONE sales associate in framing of a store this size is poor customer service. I’m heading to Michaels as I’ve done in the past. I thought I’d give Hobby Lobby another chance and of course below Michaels in customer service again. Don’t waste your time here.
I could really enjoy shopping at this store if theyd provide associates with current technology and use lapel microphones to communicate with one another instead of screaming into a PA system every two minutes. Not only is this shouting not conducive to customers staying longer and spending more, but it tends to remind one of discount department stores practices back in the seventies era.If they are going to stubbornly refuse to modernize, maybe they could explain to their louder employees that it isnt necessary to shout into a microphone. It seems like most of their employees are miserable while at work and I feel sorry for them.
I was so insulted. I went in with my family to get something for the CubScouts I lead. I was followed up and down three isles by two loss prevention employees and a uniformed cop. When I finally got the items I wanted the cop followed me almost all the way to the register. I mean, do they just pick people at random to single out like that? Been going to Michaels ever since.
Went in looking for tracing paper.. they had 2... we went thru checkout ( not noticing that whoever cut open the box had double slit the covers... also the paper inside was crinkled everwhere..adding to the dissapointment, each was same, but different prices.. $5.00 different.). I ask to have them both for the lower price because of the condition.. they woild not, but cgarged them as marked...did not adjyst for the condition at all even though they agreed they were cut & wrinkled... not acceptable to me even though my husband paid anyway!I used to shop there, but will not anymore...
SHAMEFUL EXPERIENCE!After leaving Best Buy at the Mall of Georgia I decided to visit the Hobby Lobby which is a few doors down at their new location. I am not a regular but have been several times to their old location. My wife and I are planning a harvest theme for our garden this season.Knowing they would a large selection I started browsing for ideas throughout the store. All of a sudden from out of nowhere a small woman with tablet boldly and aggressively addresses me stating, “Did you need help with something?” adding insult to injury she says, “You just walking through here like you in a daze!”Not to be taken aback by such a rude statement I responded respectfully telling her what I what looking for. For the second she made the comment, “I can walk you to the front of the store”I told her no thanks that I will continue to look around. It was at this point in our meeting that I could see she was looking at me through “suspicious lenses.”I lost my inspiration and decided it was time to leave. Sad you think that you have seen this behavior fifty years ago but apparently history is repeating itself.
They have the most unique selection of any kind of hobby you can think of not like sports but they have old metal signs like ford ,corvette,hwy66 gas signs like Phillips 66 things from years gone buy then hobbies wood working making necklaces if u can think it they have it. Just check it out.
I went here to get a custom frame job and had a TERRIBLE experience. They wrote down the wrong measurements and didn’t let me know until I drove over there and asked about my order since it was past the ready date. Then when I came to pick it up, the employees working in the framing department treated me terribly and acted like it was my fault that the order was not done correctly. I will NEVER get a custom framing job done at Hobby Lobby.

2022-06-01We took in a wooden puzzle that means a lot to us to speak with the custom framing people and can not be more pleased with how it turned out. Very knowledgeable staff, patient with our many questions, offered other options, and the results were stunning. Highly recommend them! Thank you!

2022-07-01I couldn’t find anyone to ask for help while I was shopping. When it was time to check out, it was hard to tell what line was open and what line was closed. A lot of workers were just standing around in the front. I finally got into a Line and I waited for a bit. When it was my turn to checkout they told me it was closed. They relocated me to another line. When I got there the girl told me she wasn’t ready. So I had to go find the manager and tell her what line should I be in. After that they sent me to another line and I finally was able to pay and leave.

2022-02-01Hobby lobby is great. The staff is always friendly and willing to help. I bought a painting there and the associate was very nice and happily pulled multiple prints down for me to look at more closely. The store is sometimes a little cluttered feeling but it is not really hindering while shopping except when others shoppers are not cautious and mindful of where they are stopping.

2022-04-24Had everything I needed for my final Senior Locker Template 🥲. I was kind of going supply happy that my hubby kept taking stuff out my basket lol 😆. I couldnt help myself. Even my son (whom I am making the Template for) was questioning what all I had was for. But happy me nonetheless. I got what I wanted.
