Store had a mixture of authentic and aftermarket gear to choose from. Nice folks, i cant speak on prices because theyre different than what Im used to in my state so they may be good I have no idea. I would recommend you stop by here and get some good gear for work, or camping.
Came in looking for older USMC boot camp issued black field boots. They had a couple pair of older jungle boots, but mostly all newer style tactical and jungle boots.I was able to pick up and old style flak jacket like I was issued in the Marines, and also some blousing garters and a belt, and watch cap.Prices are reasonable and staff is professional and courteous and very helpful.4 stars only because of lack of vintage or used boots, otherwise would give 5.
Love that store! I remember when it first came to Marietta Georgia and that was a long time ago and then I grew up and left Georgia and I just came back to visit last week and I went to the Hodge army and Navy store and it was just fabulous, you got a great store keep it up!!
I enjoyed browsing the vast inventory of items in this store. They have so many things for the military- enlisted, retired, family member, supporters of camping and hunting enthusiasts, outdoors, indoors, clothing, furniture..even kid friendly items, so no one is left out on this shopping trip. Even though the particular speciality item I needed wasnt there, I will return to do more shopping at a later date!
Waited for a staff member to help me try on boots (and get them from the back). After waiting 45 minutes and being assured help was on its way (twice), I left...went to Army-Navy Discount Center and walked out with boots in 25 minutes. I wish them the best, but I will not shop there again.
We were looking for a certain style of shoes and found a large selection here that fit our needs. The gentleman helping us was very helpful in matching our needs. We saved a few bucks here compared to what we had seen elsewhere. The service was very good and the lady at the counter was very pleasant. We will most certainly be back. I would recommend Hodge to my friends.
This place is really cool to dig through. Its like being in your Uncles attic and about as hot since they dont have AC to speak of. Much of the product is on shelves but its very disorganized but thats not terrible. Lots of cool random stuff to find here if you want to spend time looking.
One time I came back with a pair of sunglasses that I already paid for the last time. When I went outside to talk on the phone, the girl came outside taking down my license plate and she did it in a brazen manner trying hard to get my attention that I gotcha! I am writing down your license plate, dude! I didnt think much of itUntil at t check out, she ask me: Are you going to paid for that? !!!!!Terrible people. They act very unprofessional and like you are a shoplifter, no more, no less.Another time, an old dude just answer Dont know! and for another question, he put his hand to his ear and said I dont know Basically, they are like just buy it, dont ask, OK? you hear?I happened to live about 3-4 miles down the street from them, thats why shopped there. But dont expect to find the real, authentic military stuff there. You will be disappointed. Most of their stuffs are civilian, copy, or new military-looking stuff made for civilian use. But they have lots of insignia and patch though.Go a few miles North to Army-Navy Discount Center for the real things. The soldiers, from Dobbins Base down the road, do not shop there, I was told. Well, there is nothing military-grade in there for them to buy anyway! All the while, they I saw them in uniform at Army-Navy Discount Center all the time. I dont remember ever seeing a soldier at this place. Ever.
Only saw one employee, never greeted us or asked if we needed assistance. Stayed on his cellphone and ignored us. Store was dirty, low levels of stock, inflated prices. Will not be returning anytime soon. Went to Army Navy discount store up the road and was greeted promptly and offered assistance.
I went on there today and as a Veteran had never been as disrespected as by the staff here. I was explaining what the new Combat Patch is and the staff member said in a condensending voice wow good for you and basically said all Vets were going to hell. If you are a Vet or Active Duty I would steer clear of this place. When I voiced my displeasure the management didnt even care. Horrible people horrible place. Not ever again will I go in here. I wanted to give it zero stars but it wouldnt let me.
Two visits to the store. Excellent customer service. Its a surplus store, therefore it takes time to go through the avaialable items. Picing out the goods is based on experience, Weve had luck picking up a few jewells. Staff is excellent at assisting. Just ask and they will point in the right direction
Just stopped in to buy some shoes for a new job. Overall the selection is great but this is absolutely the first store I have shopped and recieved nasty looks from a small business owner or associate of the business not sure which he was. He helped me with my purchase but went out of his way to make me feel unwelcomed. Its a shame too great location from where I live but I guess from now on I will have to go 30 min out of my way to the competitors where they at least make the effort to make you feel welcomed!
I was out all morning hitting different gun stores and surplus stores basically enjoying myself until I got here. Customer service was nonexistent. The girl behind the counter was too busy tapping on her smart phone to even look up and the guy working made me feel really unwelcome buy trailing behind me and watching but when I would turn towards him he would walk away. Really? I had a question. Im wasnt trying to shop lift!
They used to have a nice selection... not anymore. The staff laughed at me when I tried to negotiate the price on a PASGT helmet, from $90 to $45 ( I know thats a big difference, but I found the same helmet for $30 at another store. ), but they laughed at my face. I tried my best to respectfully argue my case, but they were clearly ignoring me. They then told me that the prices of such a helmet on Ebay would be $130... I looked it up, and the average price was between $25-$70, with only a couple over $100. Overall, its a rip-off, and the staff are set in their ways, and arrogant.
I am working on a film and needed wardrobe for an enlisted Marine during WWII. David has an amazing amount of knowledge on this and steered me in the right direction. The rest of the team there is friendly, helpful, and take their time to make sure you have everything you need. Worth a stop by to see their historical collection of military uniforms too.
As cool as this place is, it is absurd how overpriced everything is. Nobody wants to pay twice as much for a 30 year old version of something you can get at Walmart for much less, that still is much higher quality. This place is really just for the people that get hard for anything with a military insignia on it.
Bought two black bomber jackets there for about $40.00 each. One for me, one for son. Other sites wanted over $100.00 online. Thick insulated bomber/not thin version, wool collar/not furry. No use for mommy or daddy to pay the extra 100.00 unless you are a fashion model.
I served in the US Army, with several tours in Iraq and elsewhere. I know about the Army Navy stores. Most of them are ripping offs with 1000℅ mark ups.Go online to the DOD DRMO for bulk buying or even better if specific individual items go on Craigslists, ebay or the app letgo etc. Soldiers getting out, looking for little extra cash will always post stuff for sale. Thats what this place and other Army Navy places do. Mark it up and give you some story on the high price. Also try Ranger Joes as well. Great pricing if they have what youre looking for.I would pass on this place, way over priced and a rip off!

2022-05-07Hodge Army Navy is a great military surplus and tactical shop that is definitely worth your time to visit! Huge selection of historic and modern surplus, many selections of good body armor, tactical vests, camo uniforms, head gear, gas masks, foreign surplus, and militaria collectibles! The staff was very friendly and helpful! Loved our time there, enjoyed looking at the displays from history inside, and purchased some good finds! Five stars.

2022-02-12I will definitely be coming back. The selection is vast and they have many rarities for the avid collector. I was able to snag a protec helmet which I had been seeking for around $7. It had a really cool NVG shroud on it that was compatible with my Wilcox mount. After that, I really added a lot. Thanks guys!

2022-05-09This was the first time Ive been to the new location, and actually havent been to Hodge since the 90s. The setup was much like i remember but they had so much more inventory. Prices were great and although i got there just before closing, they helped me with no problem. They had the boots waiting for me behind the counter that the man had promised to hold for me a couple days prior. They were a bit tight so i was given other pairs to try on. The next ½ size not only fit better but they were $30 cheaper because they were pre-owned. I had originally wanted a used pair anyway since they were only for work and i didnt have time to deal with a break-in period. The gentlemen were very patient with me and I walked out of there satisfied with my purchase, sporting a smile and even paid less for my new-to-me work boots than i had originally expected!

2022-07-02Oh my gosh! I visited here 4 years ago (2018) for some military pants for a costume. I immediately recognized the store in Stranger Things S4: E8!!! So awesome! :)Reading some other reviews, seems like it was filmed at their old location.

2022-01-04I love this new location, and not just because its closer to my house. Theres ample parking, and its much easier and safer driving into and out of the lot than at the old location on 41. The inside of the store is much brighter, and everything is laid out very well, and prices clearly visible. Ill be visiting the store more often now. Its an interesting place to browse, and I always leave with something!

2022-01-28Love this store, their employees are friendly and the prices are good. They are having issues getting some items, but thats not their fault.I dont mind waiting if it means being able to buy locally from a small business.
