My overall experience on 2/25/2022 was absolutely terrifying. The ladies that were in the clock around 5pm this day were very very unprofessional. I recommend to never leave a cashe deposit. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get my $100 cash deposit back do to them mid placing my key. I waited 1hr and 30mins for them to locate the key and they couldn’t. Hotels.com tried to get in touch with them and they did not answer. I called them later on in the night to get a update. I asked to speak to speak to there manager or if they had a customer service number the lady that I spoke to laughed and told me im insane if I think im going to get a refund but yet you all miss placed the key to the deposit draw. Basically $100 down the train. Luckily I was able to get in contact with IHG to report how they missed treated me as well as jokingly thinking it’s hilarious. I highly recommend not staying at this hotel it’s absolutely horrible! Very unprofessional!
Positive: This was by far the best hotel experience. The staff was wonderful, the lady at the breakfast, the people at the front desk and the overall staff was very welcoming. I felt like I am home away from home! Negative: I liked everything about the hotel. Thanks for making this a great trip for me.
This was a small well kept hotel. We only stayed 2 nights and enjoyed our stay. Not to forget the breakfast was satisfying. The room was fairly cleaned . We brought clorox wipes and Lysolto clean and spray the entire room before settling in. They don’t offer cleaning in the rooms unless you stay 3 nights. The hotel is located in a quiet location away from all the traffic, which was a plus for us. I would suggest having security or a police officer to patrol around for safety for the employees and customers. It’s small things that can be worked on to make this location a 4-5 star.
Had a one night stay during Easter weekend. I requested an early check in which was confirmed during my reservation. I arrived and had to wait an additional hour due to the room not being clean. The staff was extremely kind and apologetic about it. This though was the only somewhat negative experience. The room was really clean and spacious, staff friendly and helpful. Limited breakfast due to COVID restrictions which was understandable and the location of the Hotel was optimal as it is in close proximity to the mall and assortment of eateries. Enjoyed our stay and this will be my Hotel of choice when in the area. View from the room was beautiful as we were close to the King and Queen towers.
I am from New Orleans, & we visited Atlanta for the Saints/Falcons game. Unfortunately I ended up being hospitalized. It was my husband and I. We had a room booked here already, so I told my husband to go on ahead & go check in because it looks like I’ll be here awhile. The booking was in his name, but it was paid for with my credit card. They refused to let him check in because it was my card! This is my HUSBAND! It’s OUR money! I even called booking prior to him going to the hotel to confirm if he could do this because I know some companies do feel like they have to protect themselves from scams and such, but we called. I was otp with my husband when he arrived with my ID & same card used to book the room. I told her I could FaceTime her if needed but she still said no. Unfortunately my husband could not stay at the hospital with me because of Covid. Again, we are not from here, so forget where he’ll sleep right?! She refused him of the hotel stay. I feel like under the circumstances & the proof we provided, & the call from booking, this was poor customer service.
When I first arrived after 5pm, the person told me they had to go check and see if the room was clean or not. He went up stairs while I waited. He came back and said it was clean, then after about 20 minutes of being in the room the AC came down. The guy came quickly and popped it back in. After that it didnt work like it should have. I asked for small towels, they didnt have any at the time, so I just went to the store and bought my own. At that moment I was like, Im going to make the best of it. I love Holiday Inn Express but I wont stay at this location again.
Employee who checked me in had ZERO customer service skills. Later on that night this same employee came into my room without knocking or anything asking “if we checked in today.” I said “yes, YOU checked me in.” She was apologetic, but this is still inexcusable. The following morning around 11am a different employee came knocking on my door asking if we were checking out today. I told her we check in last night for two days, and she said she has us checking out this morning. I informed her that I paid for 2 nights, and my parking pass even has us checking out on the 15th. She said she would check, and give me a call. I stopped by the front desk, and of course they checked, and saw that I was in fact staying, and had paid for 2 days. I understand things happen, but my biggest complaint is their complete lack of customer service, and walking into rooms unannounced. I would like to add NOT everyone had bad customer service! There was a gentleman there that was extremely nice! The woman who worked the breakfast area was GREATTT TOO! Breakfast was great, and we were last minute and she still made food for my kids! Cleanliness was just ok!
The rooms and lobby was clean, the beds were oh so comfy, the staff was absolutely amazing. Everyone I encountered was pleasant, nice and so accommodating. I would highly recommend staying at this location if you are anywhere remotely close. Believe me even if you have to drive a short ways it will be well worth it. The parking is secure and free as well. I will definitely keep this one in my fav for next time I’m in the area.
This location is great! Very close to a lot of things. Front desk service was nice, the young man behind the desk was very friendly and interested in my hometown. Clean rooms, clean lobby, clean elevator. I did not eat the breakfast but it was a nice selection and the drink machine worked. I was also able to purchase bottled drinks from behind the counter. Overall I would recommend this location.Only CON is the parking, it gets packed very quick and they give you a parking pass for your stay. It definitely does not have enough parking for all of the rooms it has.
2nd stay at hotel due to it being in middle of Dr offices. Checked in and didnt have room available that was booked, that was okay we could wait another day to be put in the correct room. Went to front desk the morning after check in to let them know the room was empty and could be cleaned for the next guest and would return after Dr appointments to be put in the correct room. Arrived after Dr appointments around 2PM and the GM got rude and asked why I was just now coming to change all of this, that now he will lose money because he has to get the room cleaned. I explained that I came down at morning before leaving to let them know it could be cleaned and that I see the note in the board..which was the room was emptied and available to be cleaned. I will NEVER stay at this hotel again. I will pay 3x the amount a night if I have to, just to avoid that rude and disrespectful man.
I stayed 2 nights at the Hammond Dr Holiday Inn. Th time there was exceptional except for 2 issues. The wifi was TERRIBLE. I was on the 4th floor. When I went to the desk and asked for help- I was told that the wifi was only good on 1st & 2nd floor. This is rediculous. An 8 floor hotel in the middle of the area of town of Atlanta- should be better. I was told I could move to 2nd floor on 2nd day. This was stupid. The wifi would hold for a few minutes & then lose. There was also no stopper for the tub which meant I could not take a soak- only shower. Not a real inconvenience. Probably a house keepers way not to have to scrub a ring left on tub.
Sorely disappointed in the good Holiday Inn/IHG name. Still in disbelief, and hating to give one star, but feel others should be warned in case this is more than just a one-off....I can understand the possibility of short-staffing issues during these difficult times...I can understand IHG not having as much control over franchised properties.... I dont even know if either of these reasons has anything to do with what happened.... Maybe the stars intervened for one day only to disrupt an otherwise normal operation.... HOWEVER, *nothing* excuses the complete breakdown in service which I experienced over my one-night reservation at this property for December 11th*.I chose this particular hotel over the dozens in the immediate area for several reasons: 1) advertised on-request shuttle service for 3-mile radius from hotel, which would be perfect for MARTA (regional train) and the local function I was attending; 2) good price; 3) mostly decent reviews; 4) amenity points for IHG Gold member; 5) never a negative experience with any IHG property (I travel for a living, 24 years) and happy to give them my business. I booked several days in advance, thru IHG online reservations; I usually call hotel directly but this time thot online would save time. Received e-mail confirmation#, etc.On the day of the reservation, I flew in from out of town, and navigated the MARTA system from the airport to the nearest stop (1 mile away from hotel, total transit from airport a little over an hour). From the time I landed at ATL I had been trying to call the hotel to arrange for shuttle van service when I got close by, but the number would not connect--no person, no voice-mail, nothing. Half a ring then dead. I started to get nervous. I called IHG 800# and agents attempted to reach hotel, also with no success. One agent gave me the property managers phone number to try--also disconnected/out of service recording! I began to question if this hotel was even open for business. Another agent also provided me with e-mail address to contact hotel (so I sent a desperate PLEASE-contact-me email), and eventually said she was opening a case/report and that rest assured, you will be hearing back from the hotel as soon as possible, usually within 24-48hrs [WHAT??!?] but we will put a priority request on this. I was told my reservation could not be transferred to another IHG property in the area (franchises), and it was obviously too late to cancel it.To wrap up this lengthy review (apologies!), I never did hear back from anyone, by phone/text/email--nothing--and after spending easily a couple of hours or more on several calls with IHG customer service, all while effectively stranded a mere mile away (and by now it was pouring rain!), I jumped ship and ended up finding (luckily) a room at a completely different hotel--thankfully I have Bonvoy membership as well--*five hours* after landing and now less than two hours before the function.I feel I was failed by both this specific Holiday Inn, and by IHG as a whole. There surely must be SOME protocol in place, SOME way to reaccomodate your customer (and long-time IHG member) under such extraordinary circumstances and when time is of the essence. To be told, directly and several times, that there was nothing more they could do, is completely disheartening. And also completely unexpected from a well-known, quality hotel brand.Lesson learned: ALWAYS call the local hotel, at least a day in advance, to speak to a live human and confirm all details. Had I discovered the dead phone numbers the day before, I couldve canceled my reservation and saved myself this entire nightmare.*To this day, more than two weeks later, I have still received zero response, follow-up, apology, etc.; waiting for some type of contact, from ANYONE, is part of the reason for waiting to write this review.
I recently had the misfortune to spent a night at this dump in a suburb of Atlanta. It turned out to be the worst hotel experience of my life, and to give you some context, I once spent a night at a Motel 6. To begin with, I waited to check in on a line with only 2 people on it, for 45 minutes. The manager was frantically working while a bored looking woman sitting next to him was doing absolutely nothing. Then I was told that they had overbooked & had no room available for me, in spite of my reservation. After another 20 minutes, a room was mysteriously found. It turned out to have no clean towels and the bed linens were soiled. And by soiled, I mean with blood. To say that it was disgusting would be an understatement. If negative stars could be given, Id say -5⭐️ would be appropriate but only because of its proximity to Atlanta.
Note to IHG review censors: there is no legal content here since no laws are mentioned or even involved. The item discussed is a hotel policy which has no legality. The hotel states in my reservation confirmation: Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19), wearing a face mask is mandatory in all indoor common areas. There are also signs on all doors and at the front desk stating the same thing. However, during my stay none of the employees I saw was wearing a mask and the vast majority of guests were not wearing face masks. Of course, nothing was being said to anyone since employees themselves were not wearing masks. You can only enter the garage elevators with a room key and there is no way to call the hotel front desk if you dont yet have a key. When I first entered my room upon arriving it was sweltering hot. I programmed the AC to maximum cool yet it hardly working dropping the temperature only 1 degree overnight. I was charged $20 more than my reservation confirmation and was assured by the front desk this would be corrected but it hasnt been. There were also several other negative issues I encountered that apparently Im not allowed to mention because of review guidelines. IHG apparently doesnt want to post this negative review since it has been rejected for posting 6 times now.
I found the bed to be very comfortable and clean, and the bathroom was nicely updated. We also enjoyed a nice hot breakfast which was definitely above average. However, we did find the carpet to be very soiled, and one couple in our party had some unpleasant odor in their room. Overall, it was a good stay.
We were waiting for check in for 30 minutes as no staff was there. Her response to our complaint, she just told us I took a break. Dont you take a break? After horrible checking experience, I found some hairs on my bed. What a great experience during pandemic. You hotel stress how well staff thoroughly clean the room.
Horrible experience. The front desk staff was rude. Someone was smoking weed in their room and all the smoke went into our room. We could not sleep at all during our entire stay. I put towels under the door to see if it would stop the smoke coming into the room, but it did not helped much. The elevator was also smelling like weed. How come the staff allows this. It is horrible and disappointed. I will never go back there again.
Positive: Breakfast was awesome! REAL biscuits (not hard hockey pucks) and sausage gravy. The SUPER NICE lady who made breakfast even washed and sanitized my travel mug for me before I left. Now THATS service! Negative: The rooms could use a refresh (especially the carpets and the appliances) but otherwise, not bad at all.
I had made a reservation a week prior. Arrived to check in and was told were full. Was told you can take your reservation across the street to the Sheraton, they will honor it. I got there and they were full. I went back to the Holiday Inn location and Said I had a reservation, honor it or find me equivalent room for the night. Over an hour later I figured it out for myself. After midnight at this point. I wont say the attendant at the front desk was unfriendly, obviously she was put in a position she could not handle. Ive been an IHG member for over 10 years. This customer service is unconscionable. I called the IHG hotline and waited on hold for over 15 minutes, it was too late to resolve at the moment. At this point Im just hoping to get compensated for the reservation they did not honor.
I arranged this travel for my wife and my 2 daughters. We reserved and got confirmation of a room with 2 Queen beds. When they arrived, the staff notified her that 2 queens were not available and she was given a room with a King. This arrangement meant one person had to sleep on the pull out, There were no sheets for the pull out which was a hassle, and the arrangement was not as confirmed nor was it comfortable. I called staff and they were willing to move them to a 2 queen room for the second night, but it did not work out due to the schedule of my family, so they spent 2 nights in an uncomfortable situation. While this was the only experience at this hotel in Atlanta, my wife had a bad experience a couple of years back at another Holiday Inn express. I will have to find her another IHG option next time she travels.
Positive: I liked my room, however at times the room did have a overwhelming loud buzzing sound and I couldn¿t tell where it was coming from. Also, I really like the breakfast choices, the fitness center, and the space for parking. Negative: I did not like: the overwhelming buzzing sound in my room that almost drove me insane and overbearing presence of the breakfast woman who stood over your shoulder as you made your breakfast plate.
Perfect hotel for our Atlanta getaway! Not too far from downtown, but away from the noise. Rooms were clean and quiet and we were surprised to see full breakfast available. All staff members that we encountered were friendly and helpful. The pool was open and relaxing. Would recommend and would stay again!
The hotel was great. Our room was nice and clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast hostess was outstanding I think her name was Zilla. You could tell she cared about her guest and wanted to make sure they had breakfast. The food was hot and she had plenty of everything. We ate near the end of service time. The only complaint we have is that the apartment complex next door apparently were having a get together by the pool and was playing very loud music. It wasn’t so much an issue until it continued well after ten o’clock at night. This was on a Sunday night not that should of mattered. They should have some common courtesy any day of the week. Over all great experience. We stayed two nights.
DJuan Poe 2, was extremely kind, caring, helpful and he went above and beyond for me during my stay here at this hotel. His customer service, attentiveness, and fast action to any needs i had was beyond amazing. I am very happy that he was able to help me with what i needed without hesitation and again with kindness. He is also very informative about any questions i had. Thank you DJuan for making my stay not only comfortable, but safe, and relaxing! Thank you
This hotel and staff was disappointing. As a gold. Elite IHG member, I have stayed at many different hotels with this brand and generally the Holiday Inn Express is pleasant. This Perimeter location was the exception. The receptionist was rude. He gave me no details about the hotel or my stay and rarely communicated while checking me in. I had to come back down to the front desk because one of my keys did not work and I needed additional towels and washcloths. I reserved for 4 people (2 adults and 2 kids) but only received two towels. When I went down to get the additional towels his response was I can give you 2 towels but not washcloths! After probing a bit more, he indicated they were out of washcloths but I could try back in the morning. The room was clean and comfortable but did not have body soap in the container and nothing but a single, small bar of hand soap on the sink. No lotion. Since the attendant gave me no details about the hotel upon checking in, I was not aware there was free breakfast until checking out and by then is was too late. Old, smelly elevators. Very disappointing stay!
I stayed with a friend here for one night. It was a clean place. The king size room we rented was good and was as expected. However, I needed an extra duvet, I was asked to come downstairs to the lobby to pick it up as they do not have extra staff at the time (10 pm). Also we did not take our shower a night before cos we were so tired. In the morning when we did take the shower the shower Gel was not enough. My friend only used it as I was not able to completely wash my body as it finished after two withdrawals at the middle of the shower. The inability to have enough shower gel was off putting though could be an oversight. Moreover, the light switch was really nice as they glow in the dark making it easier to locate where to switch on the light.
Horrible! The front desk was rude. I couldn’t sleep at all during my entire stay, because someone was smoking weed in their room and all of the smoke went into my room. The elevator was also smelling like weed. I don’t care who smokes or not, I don’t need to smoke with them. How can the staff allows this. The room also smelled like humid and when we turned the A/C it smelled really bad as well. I will never stay there again.
I stayed at this hotel for one night due to moving. The room was cleaned very well and it was obvious there were precautions taken to ensure cleanliness during the times of Covid-19. However, I could not sleep and get a good nights rest due to the amount of noise that was constantly going on. The air conditioner was so loud that it sounded like a car engine. I tried turning it down but the room would get hot and stuffy so I had to leave it running. Also, the bathroom fan stayed on even when the light was turned off so it was running the entire night. And add to this the guests in the other rooms slamming their doors when entering and leaving their rooms throughout the night. Because of these issues I did not enjoy my stay.
-Told we could check in at 2 for an early check in-Came at 2 and said our room wasn’t ready and to come back at 3-Came back at 3:30 (after hotel check in) and room still wasn’t ready- Got a room and keys didn’t work-Changed room-Room had food and other stuff on carpet, black hairs all over comforter, drool stains on pillow cases (Front desk did call and we had said room was okay, because we hadn’t done a check of room because we hadn’t had a chance to actually get settled in)-Front desk staff was complaining about us in-front of other guests-Front desk kept telling us don’t complain or people were going to get fired because the manager had a temper.-We were told after our first complaint that you would be back in 20 minutes.-Manager seemed like it was an inconvenience for him to come back to speak with us
Very good stay. The cleaning staff do an impressive job. This is one of the cleanest rooms Ive stayed in recently. The front desk staff were very nice.Theyve made reasonable changes to breakfast....but it was still fulfilling. Parking is a bit tight but its free so cant complain there. Id definitely stay here again.
I have been going to this hotel for about a year and have had good experiences and great hospitality from staff, but the new receptionist is the worst! First off, I can’t believe management would leave someone that’s training to run a establishment without help or at minimum a accessible manager. After extending my stay , I was told that I would have to pay another deposit despite speaking with a different receptionist early in the day who was not present and did not relate this information to the “ trainee.” After going back and forth, about the situation the “trainee” refused to call a manager. At this point I’m frustrated, so I paid the deposit and was told my card declined -twice, which was not the case. The “ trainee “ did not know what she was doing and after running it for a 3rd time , ironically it approved. Not only was this “trainee” disrespect in the way she talked but she had no clue what she was doing.By the end of it, I payed the deposit charge despite being under the impression that my stay was extended and wouldn’t have to pay. This was obviously due to the lack of communication, incompetent front desk“ trainee” and not to mention blatantly RUDE individual. Please note this is not about money, it is about principle and professionalism. Since the “trainee “ was willing to lie and argue with a paying customer (in front of other customers) without admitting a mistake on their behalf, I will not be returning to this establishment. This is supposed to be a place of hospitality . I would much rather spend my time and money elsewhere where it is appreciated.
I stayed for 3 nights. Checkin and checkout were easy and desk staff were very accommodating. Room conditioning needs some instructions but it works well and responds quickly. In room coffee is always a plus but would like better coffee pods or maybe get better/stronger ones at front desk along with flavored creamer. My room was great with 2 exceptions, 1) dirt residue on shower wall from previous guest and 2) always had gnats in the bathroom that appeared to be coming from the vent. Neither of these were worth changing rooms or complaining. I would still stay here again. I do recommend that they install an oncoming traffic mirror to be able to see the cars coming up the hill from the parking garage as that is a blind turn when leaving the main parking lot area.
The gentleman that checked us in was not friendly or welcoming. Our room was borderline clean. The doors to all rooms were so heavy and incredibly loud whenever they were opened/closed. Our shower gel container was empty. While in the shower, I was trying to keep the shower curtain closed because it kept sliding toward the center. As I did this, the entire shower curtain rod fell on me. There was not a single screw or bolt on the rod holding to hold it in place. Quiet hours are supposedly at 10pm. From around 12am-4am I had the pleasure of listening to the women in the room next door talk and carry on. Thats how poor quality the rooms were. They were not shouting or partying, their conversation was able to be heard through the wall. The remote for the TV would not properly work. Our TV itself was also intermittent in working. Both elevators had terrible smells coming from them. The woman who checked us out did not even ask how our stay was. She was not friendly either. Dont stay here. Its not worth the $125 we spent to stay here. They couldnt even print us a receipt. There are way too many better options in the area to waste your money here.
Could have been farther away from elevator and ice maker. Thank God the walls were sort of sound proof. Otherwise, room was nice. Clean. Staff was really nice. Due to Covid-19 hot breakfast was out, but there was a decent selection of cold items and a toaster for bagels.Bed was firm, okay for me...hubby likes it softer. ;)
Comfortable, quiet room and conveniently located for our purposes. We appreciated the attention to our health and safety. The entrance and exit are a little difficult and signage could be improved but that would not stop me from staying here again. One of us had business nearby while the other needed access to shopping, and this hotel fit the bill. It was our first stay at any hotel since the pandemic, and we were impressed with the safety measures.
I booked my room for a week with my children, upon arrival I could tell that the bathroom haven’t been cleaned but I came prepared. I tried avoid being that guess mainly because I’m hardly in the room, and talking to anyone who works here seems to always have an attitude. I’ve been extremely tired so tonight we got back to the room early and just sitting on the bed an water bug came from underneath the AC only for my youngest to tell me it’s not the first one she saw. I went to the front desk to inform them and hoping for a room change. The lady was rude and her comment was “ you have been here for three days and it’s the first roach you saw” and offered $25 of my total. I will never stay at this play ever again and don’t recommend it.
Too much to type! Just know we will not be returning! Make sure doors locked! Workers will not knock they will walk in on you! Take a closer look at your wash cloths and towels...we received dirty ones! The front desk ppl need help , hell this entire hotel need help! This is our second time, and last time! First time good exp thats why we returned, never again.
My initial check-in was a bit rocky due to an HVAC issue (too hot) in my assigned room. However; the front desk staff acted quickly to move me to a new room and they were very compassionate considering that it was my birthday weekend. I recommend this HI Express if youre ever in need of comfy, clean lodging in the Sandy Springs-Perimeter area.
Close to Everything! Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We only stayed two nights. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We felt COVID safe which is important when travelling from out of state. Our room was on the 1st floor which was quiet yet convenient to the parking garage. Definitely worth the cost for our weekend getaway
I love staying at the Holiday Inn Express. I’m never disappointed. The staff at this particular Holiday Inn Express was very pleasant and very welcoming. My room was clean and spacious and my bed was comfortable. If you like watching television, there are plenty of cable channels to choose from. I also love the body wash that was offered. It’s not your typical travel size most hotels offer that won’t even help with one wash. It’s a regular sized body wash (about 26 oz) and it smells and feels amazing. There’s plenty of places to shop and eat in the area. The hotel is also about a 5 minute drive from Perimeter mall and shopping center. Breakfast was limited do to COVID, it’s not the usual full breakfast that the hotel normally offers.
They don’t clean the rooms every third day… I was even told by a female staff member they are going to clean the priority rooms first and will let me know if they can clean mine. (I had a King Suite for 4 nights) I just wanted new sheets on the 3rd day, also had to haggle to get new towels and wash cloths. When I asked about the internet speed and if there was another signal that could be used I was told “I don’t know what to tell you but you have the internet we got” in a dismissive manner. I wanted to grab him from behind the counter (it wasn’t the answer, it was the tone and mannerism)
Booked for 4 nights. Never received any service to clean the room, pick up the trash, provide clean towels, trash in hallways, smells like urine, I had to go to the front desk to get towels, toilet paper, coffee k cups, and cups. They were always out of breakfast items. The juice machine was out of order. The pictures on their website arent of this hotel. Management is lacking and needs to be replaced. My recommendation, stay away from this hotel. IHG has gone down the drain with its hotels and is no longer the brand it used to be. Honestly, this is my true review of this hotel. my suggestion is to find another brand.
I had just arrived from an intl flt. I was extremely tired. The check-in took rather a long time. Im not sure if it was computer issues or user error. However, once I reached the room, bed was comfy, everything was clean to perfection, and the room was quite comfortable. Besides the issue at check-in, my stay was pleasant.
Bed was extremely uncomfortable as were the pillows, floor in the room was dirty, floors in the hallways had food scraps and trash on them. Air conditioner in the room was subpar resulting in a warm room all night. Front desk staff was courteous but slow upon check-in. Front desk attendant was rude upon check-out and was eating a candy bar, talking to me with a mouth full of food rather than excusing himself long enough to finish eating.I made no complaints because since our stay was only one night, there was really no point.
Positive: The room was very clean and updated. Nice features and extremely comfortable. Negative: The staff at the front desk and breakfast area were awful. Took forever for them to check us in, never answer phones, breakfast wasnt cooked properly and never restocked.
Overall the hotel was satisfactory. However, upon arrival I was charged $100 in my credit card in addition to the confirmed rate. There was no prior notice of this. I was told it was for “incidentals”. I was told by the front desk person this was in case I damaged the room. I have never been required to pay such a charge in any prior hotel stay, including at other Holiday Inn Express properties.
Mattress looked 15 years old, was sagging in the middle, was hard, uncomfortable, springs creaked. Worst mattress ever.Next day transfered to a new room. Ac didnt work. Transfered to a 3rd room. Door wouldnt stay shut, unless we used the deadbolt from inside. When we left the room, it was therfore unsecure because it wouldnt stay latched shut.
Room was not ready when they said it would be. Finally got into our room and it was dirty and gross. Food on the floor, hair all over the beds and what appeared to be drool stains on the pillow cases. Went down to talk to someone and was told we had to wait on the manager who would be back in 20 min. Went back down after 1 hour only to hear them complaining about us, and again told to wait on the manager. Went down for the third time and we were asked to please not complain to the manager as someone might lose their job. We have been waiting for manager going on 2 hours now. Horrible place with a very rude staff and I would never recommend.
When we ordered the room, we were confirmed back to Queens. When we arrived we were told there were no rooms with queens there was only a king with a pull out. As it was 1 o’clock in the morning we didn’t have many choices. So we excepted that room. When we got to the room we found out there were no sheets for the pullout so that took time to get sheets make the pull out etc. etc. I will say the next day the manager was willing to help us change to another room but it did not work out with our schedule so we were two nights in a room that was not really suitable for the number of people staying.
My room at this hotel was very clean. I was highly impressed. There was little to no noise at the time of my stay which was for business and pleasure. The staff was very friendly. I enjoyed my experience and would stay here again. The bathrooms were already stocked with what you may need or you can request them. The bathrooms were clean which is a major plus in my book! The bed was made and clean, no bugs! The tv was a nice size and this room had a digital thermostat which made temperature very comfortable.
You have to be buzzed in by desk in order to enter.Forced to pay a $100 security deposit in case I broke or stole anything. Refundable in 7-10 business days. Not on check out. This was not in the Atlanta hood, but evidently that is probably the kind of clientele they deal with. I certainly wouldnt stay there again ! My second night in Atlanta I stayed in the IHG Crown Plaza Hotel just down the same street.
This is our second stay at this hotel. This time our room was not as nice as last time although I reserved the same type of suite. My only complaint is the bedding. The sheets and bedding were very thin and not as comfortable as we would have liked. Other than that everything was as expected.
We were looking for an overnight stay near Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital to avoid travel during rush hour and this was the ideal place . It was 8 minutes from the hospital as well as close to dining and shopping if needed. The staff was great! We were traveling with our daughter and granddaughter and when the hospital wouldn’t allow us to go in with them for the tests due to covid the gentleman at the front desk allowed us to have late check out so we wouldn’t be stuck in our car for several hours. The rooms were very clean and spacious - beds were comfortable . They had muffins and grits for breakfast - Very pleased with everything.
Staff made the stay wonderful! We arrived during a busy time and the check-in experience was pleasant. The lobby was full of folks who did not have a reservation. I book via the IHG site and got the room I wanted. The check-in attendant was pleasant to everyone and was a joy to watch. Customer service at its best!
Make sure you check your security and incidentals fees! They will hard charge you and not refund you without a second thought :) Only reason they caught it was because I called. Have the general manager on recording saying it wouldnt be refunded had I not called and complained. Crooks and thieves. IHG is 0 help. They do not care. Hotel was dirty and the ac didnt work. Customer service is non-existent. Good luck if youre staying here.
I am a pretty frequent traveler in both my professional and personal life. Business wise I travel to the Atlanta area roughly one week a month. My personal and business travel has NOT slowed down at all during this pandemic and if anything has picked up. So, when I judge this hotel I am judging it compared to other IHG hotels that are also in this pandemic world. I have stayed at this hotel many times before and have always had a good experience, but this last time was definitely below average. Not only for this hotel’s usual level of service, but it was below average when compared to the myriad of other IHG properties I have stayed at all across the USA and Europe. I want to be 100% fair here and I am going to give the hotel the benefit of any doubt because I am well aware that this pandemic has been extremely tough on the hotel and travel industry. I definitely don’t want to sabotage the hotel with a review that is based upon speculation or exaggerations. I am going to be as fair as I can possibly be. Let me start from the beginning and state facts. When I arrived at the hotel at approximately 4:00 PM or so I was a little amazed that the front door was locked and a sign said to call the front desk. Not sure why they couldn’t have a buzzer or doorbell?? My hands were full and it was a minor hassle having to put all that stuff down so that I could call the hotel. When I did call, no one answered the phone. I had a very long day up to this point and was not in a good place to want to play games. Luckily for me there was another guest who was coming back in the hotel and he let me in. I stood at the front desk for awhile without anyone coming to the front desk. I cleared my throat pretty loudly and finally a lady showed up. She was very polite and friendly. However the check-in process was as slow as I think I have ever experienced. I was the only guest that she was waiting on so I am completely unsure why it took so long. Normally it takes only 3-4 minutes and I’m on my way. This felt much longer. I was later told by the front desk manager that they have the door locked purposely so they can “judge the health of the person entering”? What? I have NEVER seen that at ANY hotel anywhere during this pandemic. I don’t get that all. How are they able to judge that?? Seemed very odd to me, but again I’ll stick to the facts and not call the man a liar. 95-99% of the time when I check into a IHG property they recognize my Spire Elite status and offer me reward points as a “Welcome bonus. That did not happen, which is fine I don’t need my ego stroked like that and I just wrote it off as she was perhaps new and didn’t know to do that?? I did, however, want the points. Several hours after I checked in I heard what sounded like a very faint tap on the door, but I wasn’t sure if it was my door or someone’s nearby. Later when I got up and walked to door I noticed that my driver’s license was lying on the floor. Evidently the woman that checked me in earlier had forgotten to give me back my license and someone was returning it. It’s a good thing that I didn’t need my license when I was gone just before this to go get some dinner. I waited a few days and still no Welcome Bonus points. I inquired at the front desk and they initially didn’t know what I was talking about but later said that the manager or someone else would know how to do it. I waited a few more days and still no points. I emailed the hotel because I didn’t know who to talk to, but figured that either a manager or perhaps the owner would get the email and help me. The front desk manager replied and was very courteous and apologized for the oversight. He said that “the system was down”, but he would see to it that I got the 500 bonus points plus extra for the inconvenience. In all times I have stayed at IHG properties (probably a few hundred times) that has NEVER happened to me before. Didn’t want to call him a liar, so I accepted his apology and waited. As you can probably guess nothing happened and it’s been close to a month later and I am still waiting. One day towards the end of my stay I came back from a long day working and noticed that my room door was definitely not shut and was clearly not locked. My room had been cleaned that day so I am assuming that the housekeepers had failed to completely close and lock the door. I also reported this to the front desk manager and he was very apologetic and said that he would check into it.There were some definitely some good things about the stay. The lady that ran the breakfast in the morning was extremely nice and friendly. When she worked breakfast it was always stocked well and open on time. One morning, though, she must have been off work because I went down 15 minutes after it should have been opened and it was not open and they were just getting going. I couldn’t wait because I had to get to work. I want to be clear that all the staff were very friendly and polite and helpful. It just felt like there was no leadership and everyone was kind of doing their own thing. In the past there was a gentlemen from India (I’m assuming that he was Indian anyway) and when he was the manager on duty things ran smoothly. You could tell that he ran a tight ship. I haven’t seen him in awhile so I don’t know if he moved on or what, but the hotel quite honestly isn’t the same now, which is very sad. Since I checked out I have reached out to the hotel 2-3 times explaining that I was still waiting for the points. I would have been happy with any response, but when I get no reply at all that’s completely unacceptable in my book. I won’t be back to this hotel. It used to be the only hotel that I stayed at when I was in the Atlanta area, but I have chosen a different IHG property and just returned from an 8-day trip. The experience there was night and day a better experience. I feel like I gave them plenty of opportunities to make this right with me, but after the first two times he replied to me I got no further response. As I said it will be a long time, if ever, before I return to this hotel. There are a lot of IHG properties in the Atlanta area and I don’t have to settle for being ignored. These types of failures, in my humble opinion, cannot be blamed on the pandemic. Being ignored and blown off is just plain inexcusable.
Pro(s): Clean room. Free and ample parking.Con(s): Only staff member I was able to interact with was rude. Dirty and dingy hotel/elevators. Went to get towels, none available. Toiletries in bathroom not available. Was not told about free breakfast so we missed it. Pool closed.
Positive: Location is not bad Negative: Horrible experience. We couldn¿t sleep at all, because someone was smoking weed in their room and all the smoke went into my room every single night. The elevator smelled like weed as well. Front desk was rude! The A/C in the room smelled like humid.
Checkin in staff was more than unprofessional. We waited to check in with one person in the amount of time it took the colleague to checkin 3 other people. After asking for a drink from the refrigerator that was mislabeled all three employees decided to chime in with an attitude and smart remarks while one employee withheld the drink and questioned his colleague about whether we had paid or not. The front desk was inefficient, rude, and unprofessional. My husband and I will not be staying here again.
I love this hotel. The room was very clean and the bed super comfortable. The service was great. When I called for more towels or tissue, it arrived quickly. I actually hated to leave that big king size bed to go home to mine.:) Of course due to the pandemic there was no hot breakfast served, but they did have cereal and muffins, so at least you got something. This is my second stay at this hotel and will now be the only one I stay at when I come to Georgia.
Ive actually used this location on several occasions and will continue to do so. The Front Desk staff are always personable and approachable. The location is convenient to local grocery stores, restaurants and shopping centers. There is plenty of FREE covered parking available. Common areas are always clean and well kept. Thank you for being a convenient and comfortable stay.
Check in was a breeze the woman working was very friendly. The rate we paid for a quick overnight trip was well worth it. Great late night food nearby which was plus for us after a twice delayed flight. The only negative was I wish there were more towels in the bathroom.
If I could give a 0 I would. Enter my room pulled the sheet back and there was a stain. Called front desk asked for clean sheets, while removing them there was a huge blood stein,on the mattress pad!!! Asked to be moved, the second night was trying to enter the building from the parking garage, keycard would not work. Had to carry three bags of food and drinks to the front of the building. Morning checking out called and asked for towels, and bath cloth was told they did not have any clean!!!!!!! Thats right!!!!! My husband had to go to the store and purchase some just for us to shower!!!! While checking out asked for a printed copy of my receipt was told they could not provide since I booked through booking.com.. keep in my mind Ive stayed at Holiday Inn in Panama city beach, Chattanooga and other places, and they all are able to provide a printed copy of my receipt. This experience has been unbelievable!!!!!!!!!
-Property has potential to be great, but missed the mark on our visit. -Location of property is fantastic! -Did not request accessible room, but front desk staff assumed that we needed one when they noticed walking cane.-A/C unit caused really bad flooding. Staff could have done better job with helping us to address it. Eventually it was addressed and the maintenance staff who came to address the flooding was absolutely AMAZING and deserves all the kudos! - Breakfast wasnt what was advertised (drink machines were broke)
Never had a single issue with ANY IHG property or staff until this stay. First words from staff, it will be a minute, I have to take care of something, then I was left in the lobby for nearly 15 minutes. Im a patient person, but after a long drive and late arrival, a more suitable welcome would have been nice, especially when you are accustomed to a certain standard and quality of service from IHG. I will say, first time I was not 100% satisfied with my stay with any IHG property.
I am writing this email to complain about my recent stay at one of your hotels located at 765 Hammond Drive NE, 30328, Atlanta GA. I was staying there on Friday 7/23 to 7/24 in room 714. I left a pair of brown toodler sandals. I called several times starting on Saturday night and I was told then to call Sunday morning to speak with the house keeping supervisor. I called on Sunday three times each time I was told they would call me back. Today is Monday and I’ve still haven’t gotten a call back at this point I’m sure someone took my daughter shoes but I am extremely dissatisfied with the customer service at this location. Someone could have called me back to let me know they didn’t find my sandals. I also left body wash in the shower which I’m assuming was also stolen . No one went to the room to check or called me back . This is extremely unprofessional. I wouldn’t stay at this location anymore and I would like to know if you can help me . I appreciate your assistance with this.
This hotel is a joke. The staff has no customer service. I had a booking through Hotels.com I was told that I wasnt in the system and they couldnt acomódate me. So I reached out to Hotels.com they offered me a new property for my stay. After I checked into the new hotel. Holiday Inn proceeded to charge me a cancel fee after the fact they werent able to acomódate me. Hotels.com contacted the hotel and the hotel tried to lie and say that I showed up on the day prior for check in. That was a lie why would I do that when I called hotels.com immediately when I was told my reservation didnt exist at the hotel. I really want people to pay attention to this at this location. Hotels.com is trying to resolve the issue at the moment while I type this. The hotel is trying to give them the runaround also.
I had a reservation to stay at this hotel. I arrived to the hotel close to midnight due to the fact that I was driving from a long distance. When I arrived, the front desk worker told me that they were booked for the whole night so that they did not have a room for us. Mind you, we had a pre booked reservation. She said she called a lot of people who had a reservation to tell them that the rooms were on a first come first serve basis and that she had called me an hour prior to my arrival, which is a LIE because I did not receive a call nor an email nor a notification about this. When I asked to speak to a supervisor about this, she said she was the supervisor and that she was sorry. She also suggested for me to go to other hotels in the area to check for any availability. I find it absolutely disrespectful that the hotel would not keep our reservation after having a long day of travel. I also find upsetting that I would be told to go find a hotel at midnight with a special needs adult in the family and no reassurance of availability elsewhere. The most upsetting thing is that the supervisor would lie to my face to tell me she called me and left a message when there’s no evidence of her doing so.Shame on this company for allowing this type of behavior towards a customer by dishonoring a reservation.
The staff and manager were all so very helpful. From my first call to book a room the were extremely helpful and the staff at check-in couldnt have been nicer and more helpful. The room was VERY clean and the hotel has recently been renovated and the improvements are very nice. The bedding was VERY comfortable and there was more thank enough towels for us. Check out was a breeze. So glad that a Holiday Inn Express was that close to Scottish rite (the reason for our stay, night before my daughters surgery).
I was very happy with my stay. Everybody that worked there was very nice and helpful. I thought the rooms were very clean, the beds were comfortable and nice and clean when we arrived. There was a wardrobe to hang my suites and my wifes dresses, it has a safe inside for valuables, which we didnt use but I thought that was a nice touch. There was a mini fridge and a microwave and small coffee maker. The breakfast was very delicious, with premade omelets, biscuits and gravy, sausage, cinnamon rolls, and blueberry muffins, and a juice machine. It was the same thing every single day we were there, but it was still yummy. I liked that it had very close access to the 19/400 , and the I-285. Overall I had a very positive experience, and I would totally stay there again.
My daughter and I were in Atlanta on business. She works from home and needs excellent Wifi reception, the management allowed her to use the business office(that is currently closed due to COVID) which allowed her to facilitate a major meeting for her company with no issue.Im a writer and a light sleeper. I always need lots of quiet around me. It was a blessing to have been placed on the top floor with lots of quiet. We stay in IHG hotels all over the country. We can always count on IHG to have clean bathrooms and clean comfy beds with awesome pillows. I love the consistency from coast to coast. I recommend this location and have extended my stay here another week.
My visit was great. Check in was fast and the room was perfect. The high view of the area was great. The beds were extra comfortable and clean. The bathroom was fully stocked and clean. The space was great for my son and I to move around and not bumping into one another. The room was great for sleeping without loud sounds or noises. The staff and house keeping were all wonderful and very polite...Will be back soon to enjoy another stay...
*If you plan to stay here check your bedding!*One of the beds from my stay had soiled bedding. We could smell it, so it had to have been from a recent guest. When I spoke to the front desk they only offered a $10 refund. This was a high inconvenience to myself and my mother as we had been traveling all day. Due to COVID19 and human decency, cleanliness should be very important for all guest.
Had a great stay overall. Fixture for toilet paper In the guest bathroom was lose, nothing major but should have been fixed prior to arrival. It was great something was offered for breakfast rather than it being closed down completely. However more options would have been nice.
We stayed for 2 nights to be closer to my dad who had to have a procedure done at Northside Hospital. The night we checked in we found that our minifridge was not working properly and contacted the front desk. The gentleman on duty was excellent. He came right away to check it and we found it was leaking water into the floor. He changed it out immediately. The next morning we found our coffee maker was also not working. The front desk personnel had changed but I let them know as we were scheduled for a second night. That was around 9 am, as of 6pm no one had been to check it. I told the new desk personnel and he said he would have some one come right away...as of the time we checked out our coffee maker still wasnt checked...so Im sure if you stay in room 210, your coffee maker isnt working.
I enjoyed my stay, but was overcharged for my week stay which took another week to resolve. When you book through booking.com be aware they are providing you a discount that you need to be clear you are due when you check out. I also think they need to wipe down their luggage carts or leave sanitizing wipes near them because I felt covid infected after using one. Im super sensitive to germs and this was a red flag. Otherwise, its very central to everything, quiet overall, perfect size space for a week stay doing business and clean. Just dont count on a real breakfast because you just get a muffin and piece of fruit. They really shouldnt even say they offer breakfast until after covid as a result.
I enjoyed my stay here and got the rest I needed. I really want to know what type of mattress they use because it was sooo comfortable and soft! I actually came the weekend the time went ahead and almost was late for check out but the front desk clerk gave me an hour of grace period to prepare myself and check out. I will be returning when I visit again.
I was on level 5 and was staying in a king size room. I saw hair inside my pillow cases and all over the telephone wire and then also saw stains in the pillow sheets. When I brought it to management I was told “that it was housekeeping’s hair.” Then when I arrived my bathroom door was locked and I had to use a quarter to unlock it, just to notice that the tile in the bathroom had a whole in it. Just overall not happy for the quality I’m used to from holiday inn suits.
Hotel was clean and I was able to relax. The breakfast options are very slim. There were no basics such as eggs, grits, and bacon. The options were cereal, bagels, and yogurt. Seems like they want you to pay a kings ransom to stay there, but feed you like a 5 year old kid.
Hotel OK This is a clean well maintained Holdiday Inn Express. The staff were friendly. The first day there was no selection for breakfast, the second day it was a bit better. When I checkded out I still had not received my 500 welcome points and asked for them 5 days later recieved my regular points for stay but still no welcome 500 points.
I loved the location, staff, up-to-date aesthetic and my view during my stay at The Holiday Inn Perimeter! There was a Black-Out curtain in my actual room that allowed me to sleep comfortably, but the window at the end of the hall was a beautiful view. And the ice machine was convenient. Breakfast options were nice, too—despite the pandemic. I felt safe during my stay, and loved the atmosphere! I would DEFINITELY recommend, and I would definitely return!
After previously booking at a nearby hotel and being disappointed at continued facility closings such as pool and breakfast offerings for our grandchildren, we were thrilled to find HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS! It was near and had not let us down one leg of our trip from Florida to Wisconsin! It had a wonderful breakfast, staff, cleanliness and pool!
The rooms were outdated. We didnt have towels and wash clothes the first night. Housekeeping never came around to give us clean wash clothes the next night. My husband went to the front to get some, they would only give him one.I have called and emailed and still havent received my checkout receipt.
I travelled to Atlanta area and stayed here for one night, I figured coming into it the experience would be different with all the COVID issues right now.I’ll start with the positive the bed was clean and very comfortable. The pillows were also great. Unfortunately that’s all the positive there is. The bathroom experience was average at best. The water pressure in my shower was terrible! I booked the room weeks in advance with a total of 4 guests and there were only 2 towels in the bathroom. Not a big deal I guess but it’s frustrating to have to go get towels early in the morning. When I stay at a hotel I feel like I shouldn’t have to pay full price if I’m doing the work for the employees. Breakfast I figured would be less than normal but it was honestly pathetic, I think the only options we had were a bagel, 2 types of cereal and oranges. The only drink was milk. I’m just annoyed I used reward points and I didn’t get a normal experience. Will not be traveling for the remainder of COVID.
The front desk associate upon arrival was welcoming and professional! I used rewards points because it was a last minute stay and wouldnt be there only to sleep after a night out. However, I stayed in room 215 and the heat did NOT work. We played with thermostat and nothing ever happened. We got in at 3/4 am I was tired and had no energy for an exchange about the heat. It was 36 degrees out. Other than that I have no real complaints. I would go back, but make sure hvac is good first.
This is a decent hotel. Ive stayed at their properties before and this was just an okay experience. I had enough towels for 2 guests, even though my reservation was for more. No extra toilet tissue (roll about out). I used the text service that was no service. I went to the front desk to get the supplies. There was an outlet that didnt work, so the TV didnt work. I did report it, however maintenance was gone, i guess for the weekend.
The room was clean and bright. It was very quiet and the shower was awesome. The air conditioner was very quiet and worked very well. The staff was friendly. There were plenty of towels in the bathroom and shampoo in the shower area, which was a nice touch on the wall - instead of those tiny bottles.
I selected this hotel by mistake. We stayed at a nearby hotel a few times years ago and we always stay there when we are in the area. Its been so long I couldnt remember the name of it so I checked my email and this was the only hotel that popped up. Upon booking and arriving I realized this was not the right hotel and I had checked the wrong email. Nevertheless, because we booked over the phone on the way we couldnt cancel the reservation. We had stayed here many years ago and I wasnt impressed and so I was very disappointed upon realizing the mistake I made. Anyway, when we got on the elevator to go to our room it was very dirty/run down looking so I was nervous about our room. When we got to our room at first glance it was nice enough, we didnt inspect the room at 1st we went straight to the bathroom to wash our hands. I noticed water splash on my feet but thought I was imagining things. When we got into the room good we noticed large food bits on the floor. We dont like to complain so we just cleaned it up. We have a 1yr old so he was crawling all over the floor and every few seconds would bring us trash (bottle caps, left over toys from other guests, paper etc) so it was very frustrating. While they were in the room dealing with that, I was in the bathroom cleaning baby bottles in the sink. At this point theres a puddle of water on the floor and I realize the sink is leaking. I call the front desk and she says she gonna have to move us to another room. This is good but stressful because its really late after 11pm? And we had already unpacked all of our stuff. The lady was nice and apologetic. The new room was cleaner than the first room. The last called us to see how the room was and offered us a discount for our troubles. The bed was very comfortable and we got the best sleep we could possibly get in such a short time before our early flight. Breakfast was not bad, check out was easy. If it had not been for the discount given the price for me would not have fair for this property.
This hotel is in a great location with a large variety of food and shopping choices. The parking garage was good, my room was clean and with new beds. I only eat the cinnamon rolls for breakfast when I stay at a Holiday Inn. They are amazing and always a highlight of my stay. Check out was easy and fast. The only thing that I didnt like was there wasnt a snack bar in the lobby. The front desk did go in the back and offer me some cookies. I didnt feel good and it was late so I really appreciated the fact he tried to help me. Thanks again for the great stay!
The staff was friendly, but the guests in the adjoining room was bumping against the wall all night long. I dont know what was going on. I looked forward to getting in the pool, but it was filled with what appeared to be algae. The breakfast was only cereal, milk, and muffins which is fine due to the pandemic, but adjust the price accordingly.
Our room was nice and the person who checked us in was very kind. After settling in our room, we discovered we had very noisy neighbors. There was also a smoke detector (not in our room) chirping loudly every few seconds during our entire stay. We called the front desk around 12:30am to ask how to keep the HVAC fan running to drown out some of the noise to attempt to get some sleep. She insisted there was a button on the wall thermostat for this, but there was not. There was only the control on the HVAC unit that was disabled. She did not offer any assistance with the smoke detector. The refrigerator began loudly kicking on and off so we unplugged it and also turned off the HVAC because the fan also kicked on and off often. The room next door calmed down (long past the posted quiet hours), and we finally fell asleep around 2:30a. At 3:30am someone arrived in the parking lot outside our window. There was lots of door slamming, shouting and laughing. They appeared to be staying on our floor because someone banged on our door at 4am and then very loudly checked into the room on the other side of ours. Our stay was in the middle of a 13 hour drive for a college visit. We would have gotten more rest if we had driven straight through and napped in the car. We appreciated there was an attempt to provide breakfast in spite of the necessary COVID precautions.
Front desk service upon check in was mediocre with an I dont care attitude. I asked for restaurant recommendations in the area and was told to Google it. Bauxite an I dont care attitude. Showed pressure was pitiful. Bed was good. Checked personal the next morning were very nice and friendly.
The hotel was very clean and comfy. It is in a very high inn of Sandy Springs and could use a remodeling to fit the eclectic area. The location is easy to find and easy access going and coming at night. During the day, you have to be extremely cautious turning into the hotel and leaving. The General Manager was very friendly and accommodating, I thought he was a regular worker. I especially love the armoire located in my room. It was very tasteful and should stay. Makes the room large and spacious. I do understand you are under some renovations and that is good. I wasn’t disturbed by any noises. I can’t wait to return after the renovations are done. Great choice and I enjoyed my stay immensely. Love your cold air conditioner that didn’t drop low after I fell asleep.
We had a great visit to Atlanta. The receptionist had lived and worked previously where we live. He had worked with our daughter in law. He was very helpful. The woman working the continental breakfast was also very friendly, upbeat and helpful. The breakfast selection was terrible mostly due to Covid but she made up for it.
Disappointed that free “hot breakfast” was not offered although it was advertised and was one of the main reasons why I booked. I heard constant knocking from construction in other rooms throughout the day. I would think they would put you on another floor to prevent the noise. Otherwise the room was nice and the location itself was good and staff was friendly.
Very friendly staff, very clean room, very comfortable bed, a small but complete workout center, and a nice breakfast with multiple choices and decent coffee. Coffee pods in the room were a nice touch and I was able to get extra when needed. Both check-in and check-out were straight forward. Only downside was the bathroom design... The walk-in shower door would not close fully at one end, and the toilet paper holder was out of reach of the toilet unless you had arms as long as Patrick Ewings. Easy fix of course, just had to pull off the roll and place it on the back of the toilet... I passed that little nugget on to management and they said they would change the location :-)
Excellent place to stay and customer service. Facility very neat and clean. Guests security/safety is important. Room was very neat and clean. Modern and comfortable furniture. Due to COVID-19, the choices for breakfast was limited but they had enough to include oatmeal, grits, bagels, muffins, yogurt to grab and go. I was very pleased; especially the room. Oh! Its so close to every store you can think of!!!!😊
Check in went fine, everything was clean and we felt comfortable. Around 1 a.m. the music cranked up in the next room along with loud conversation. After about 30 minutes I called the front desk and a call was made. Things quieted for a few minutes then it started back and continued til about 3 a.m. I didn’t call again to complain but considered asking for a room change; however I thought that would end any chance of sleep. So we toughed it out with ear plugs. The next morning I ask the gentleman at the desk if the people next door would be staying another night as I would request a new room. He said they were leaving and I told him the problem and he acted like it was a normal Saturday night in Atlanta. Wow, really??On the positive side, bed was really comfortable and the pillows felt like home. Location is good, microwave, coffee pot and small fridge in the room.I might return for a mid week stay, but never again on the weekend
I had a wonderful time during my stay. My husband and I took a swim with our daughter who loved the pool and we went in and each showered in that wonderful shower with awesome smelling soaps and shampoo/conditioner. The pull out bed was a great fit for our daughter who had a great sleep but def not better than the sleep we had on that marvelous King size bed. The bed was everything. We woke up the next morning and had breakfast which was pretty good. They had a good selection and brand named stuff. Check out was a breeze as well. Great Experience overall. Id def recommend this hotel to others.
The hotel has been newly renovated and not yet clean enough. Also, items renovated are sometimes covered with paint. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. They were happy to help.I was assigned to a room that had loud noise and upon the call to reception I have changed the room.Breakfasts are quite poor in terms of choice.Internet is poor too. Constantly disconnects. If you leave a car without a parking ticket under the window you would be booted.
We had an extended stay at this hotel while in Atlanta and found this location to be very accommodating. It is convenient to restaurants, shopping, hospitals and major highways. The front desk staff, especially Malcom and Michelle were always friendly and helpful. Any problems with maintenance in the room was addressed quickly by James. Our thanks to all the staff that made our stay pleasant. Shabir, Steve and TJ were managers that were readily available to help.....thank you!The room was spacious and comfortable!
Stayed at this property 5 days and only received housekeeping service 1 time of course they blame it on COVID unfortunately this is not reflected in the price of the room that averaged over 100.00 per night. The same young man that checked me in also checked me out so he deserved all 5 of the stars.
The front desk person was not friendly. She never looked up to make eye contact with us. She mumbled through her mask. She acted like we were inconveniencing her.The breakfast was almost non-existent. Ive stayed at other Holiday Inn Express & Suites and the breakfast was much better.I asked the morning front desk person if we could extend our stay by one hour and he approved. However, the house keeping banged on our door early. Apparently the front desk and house keeping were not in coordination.Overall disappointing visit.
Its a nice hotel; our stay with nice ,room was clean and the Hotel was clean. I would say there was an issue it was with one of the managers or the desk Clarks Im not sure who he was but anyway ;my husband and my kids and myself was standing outside and Im assuming they didnt want us outside but instead of him saying they didnt want anybody staying standing outside the property he came where we were and ask did you guys lite fireworks because I had fireworks going off so we was like no do you see any fire works my kids was just doing tic tok so we decided to move over by our cars my husband had the radio on but it wasnt blasted it was on and he came over there you have to turn off the radio because we have guests complaining and I was like how they complaining when you can barely hear it we can barely hear it and its not like he didnt know we had four rooms in the hotel because he was there when I checked in so he knew we were guests I dont know if hell just being an assshole or what but that was the only issue we had.
Friendly people, pool and workout room were closed (not ideal situation with kids). Luckily we had friends in different hotel and we were able to go there to swim. Cleaning staff was nice, but there were 4 of us in the room and they never left enough linens and we were always, looking for them to retrieve more towels, wash clothes and toilet paper. Beds were comfy, room was small.
The room was dated with a very loud old AC unit. The front desk person played a game on his phone while poorly attempting to assist in check-in/check-out. The fitness facility smelled, did not have towels, or cleaning wipes. All in all, not the normal IHG experience I am used to.
The hotel was very organized and prepared for the pandemic The staff was so nice and caring. Naturally, the pool and work out room were closed for safety reasons, but that was not a priority. We were accommodated with our needs. I couldn’t recommend a better place for our needs, as our granddaughter went through surgery at Scottish Rite Hospital.
Good Location and Friendly Staff, Clean rooms but we did we did have an issue that was appropriately handled through another channel and the staff was very accommodating as we changed rooms for the next night. There was one lamp bulb burned out and requested it get changed while we were out, but it never did. Good value, clean rooms, great location, and great staff. The elevator needs a redo and some maintenance on the door. But overall would stay here again.
Holiday Imm Express is usually known for the breakfast included with their rooms. Their choices at this hotel are at the bare minimum. They say it’s grab and go but there really isn’t much of anything to grab. Other hotels from competitors that I have stayed with during COVID provide much better breakfast. IHG, please get with the program.
I truly enjoyed my weekend stay even though I arrived during a time of renovations. The experience was truly amazing. The breakfast was more than the traditional hotel breakfast because they offered healthier choices like egg white veggie omelette. As a person fighting diabetes on a daily basis, this was a win for me. The pillows are a bit too soft for me and the bed is just right. Great experience!!
I have stayed at this hotel many times and am never disappointed. Friendly staff and a convenient location make ita favorite. While the new lobby is a bit stark which seems to be the trend these days, the rooms are still comfy and welcoming. I will happily continue to return to this hotel. Thanks IHG!
Bed was comfortable, the the overall set up of this hotel is horrible! The parking and stairs set up is Ludicrous! You can’t even walk up the stairs from the lobby you have to take the elevator up to the first floor to reach the stairs to walk up to your room and down that is ridiculous!
Yes, for the most part. Its clean and they served breakfast when other hotels were not cause of covid. They could have did what this hotel did and serve wrapped breakfast sandwiches. The only thing I did not like was that the air conditioning can be controlled by the front desk and when we got in it was on 74. Had them to check it out and they dropped the temp but we left and came back and they had raised it back up. Im glad I had my small fan with me. The maintenance and housekeeping are really dedicated to their jobs and are nice.
Floor plan for King size bed is spacious & lends itself to a feeling of openess, airiness. Enjoyable large TV screen. Hooked Pegs to easily hang garment on (without having to open closet and grab clothes hanger). Everything you need at your fingertips without cluttering the room. Room is perfect.Location superb.
Pros: The location is close to everything and the beds are super comfortable.Cons: The walls are thin and noisy. If you aren’t lucky enough to get a street level parking, you get to enjoy the poorly lit, sketchy garage. Only the limited house keeping staff wear uniforms, everyone else looks like a potential guest.
The facility was ok. But the service was terrible. Due to Covid they are not providing housing keeping which is understandable. But when I asked for new towels their attitude was if I was bothering them. To top it off I was accused of stealing a lap that was never in the room. They billed my card for a $100. Ive been staying at different Holiday Inn for the past 15 years. Traveling 6 to 7 months out of the year. Never have I stolen or been accused of stealing anything from them
The rooms are decent with nice beds and plenty of room. With the new remodel, the rooms felt clean and crisp with everything feeling appropriate for the price range. The hotel had a lot of construction which made the common areas feel dusty and grungy (they would have been an easy four stars without this). The breakfast was good, extended continental style with eggs, sausage and pancakes.
I stayed at the Holiday Inn express with family for a family reunion in the Atlanta area and had the worst experience of my life! After 2 days of staying in my room I called to the front desk to ask can I have the room cleaned the staff on duty Michelle replied in an unprofessional tone rooms aren’t cleaned until the guest leaves the property! I proceeded to ask where is that in the contract or posted she said it was given with the key I asked her to hold so I can read the paper which was given and after inspection I replied it doesn’t say that and I’d really like my linen to be changed and room cleaned she started speaking in a nasty tone I said to her why are you speaking that way I’m not speaking to you like that and she hung up. I immediately called back and asked if I can speak with a manager she said she was and said I had 10mins to vacate the premises I then became very IRRATE and asked if she was or her mind and can she give me corporate number she said no I need to leave! I called corporate they said I didn’t have to leave they contact the hotel! She called back and said she’d give me to 12pm or she’s calling the police my husband explained corporate said we didn’t have to leave she hung up then called again telling her she’s locked the rooms we have to go and they’re removing our things from the room! I called cooperate again they stated she had check us out and there’ll Reinstate the original check out Michelle called back again and said we’re making this harder then we have to and we need to leave the hotel ! Immediately! It became a harassing thing we were actually at brunch it became so aggravating we had to drive back from West Point to remove our things from the room! Might I add we had 2 rooms under our name however the issue was just with my particular room however she insisted both rooms had to vacate! I’m a seasoned respected Realtor who knows how to act I’ve never been thrown out of an establishment in my life! This was such an embarrassing traumatic experience I just pray no one else has to encounter an experience within your brand hotel!
Staff was helpful. I checked in late with just myself and my one year old and the staff was helpful with getting our room and letting me know about wifi and breakfast times. The room however wasnt very clean and I just felt really grimy the whole time, I am usually not uncomfortable in hotels, the bathroom had mold on the ceiling and smelled like urine. It was just an uncomfortable experience. The noise control in the room was almost none and it sounded like anyone who walked past was in our room. Breakfast was great, lots of options, helpful staff.
This hotel is newly renovated and has all the services you would expect from an HI property. Comfortable beds, clean and well lit exterior. Very ideally situated if you take the Atlanta by-pass. Our disappointment was in how the hotel handled the Covid-19 crisis situation. We were forced to return home early because of this virus spreading and when we called to change dates (not cancel the reservation), we were told the special rate we had received when we originally booked this hotel, was no longer available and we would have to pay the new rate. The next day, we called to book a 2nd room because our family was returning with us as well, we were given another rate (same room type etc). We felt that HI should have honored the original rate due to the very unusual circumstances existing at this time. Their response definitely ended our stay on a sour note.
My stay here was fantastic! I was greated upon entering the hotel with very friendly and accommodating staff. The room was very clean and spacious. The internet was fast and easy to connect. The breakfast was very good, had a large variety of choices and clean. The dining area was large so you werent sitting on top of someone. The attendant kept all the food filled, area cleaned, and everything warm. There were plenty of tvs in all directions for viewing. The hotel was close to everything and easy to get in and out!
This has been the worst Holiday Inn I have ever stayed at! I took more than 15 minutes to be acknowledged by the staff at the front desk to check us in and he only got off his phone because we were talking among ourselves about calling corporate! This hotel had no customer service and nothing but excuses. The employee at the front desk was “working alone “ on a Monday at 4:30 check in and it took until after 5:00 to get checked in. I picked this hotel for the hot breakfast bar, the workout center and the pool and instead of getting any of what I paid for, “Covid” was their excuse for no hot breakfast and getting a piece of fruit with a muffin or pre packaged biscuit. They didn’t run their shuttle but buses are running throughout the city. They used the “Covid” excuse to do the least they could do and not give us what we paid for. The air conditioning would not cool below 72 and no one cleaned your room during your visit. I will never stay at this slack hotel again!
When we arrived in Atlanta our first hotel stop was not the Holiday Inn Express, it was another hotel. This hotel was horrible we stayed one night and quickly checked out the next day. I stayed up all night and found the Holiday Inn Express. It was wonderful!! The room and bed was clean. The pillows are ohhh so comfortable and nice that my husband has bought a set for our bed at home. The breakfast was hot and delicious and the staff was ohh so friendly. Everyone had a pleasant disposition. Michelle the front desk clerk was so nice, sweet, and humble. She really took care of my family of 7 and I really appreciate her customer service. Which is HUGE with our family. It was a five star stay. We will stay again for sure!!!!
This was one of the best stays that Ive had since staying at Holiday Inn Express. The renovations were fabulous. I cant believe the size of the rooms with two beds. You deserve 10 stars for your work. The hotel was very quiet and I was so impressed that I stayed an additional day. I have bragged to my friends and family how nice this hotel is. I will be back.
When we checked in the woman at the front desk was extremely helpful, polite, knowledgeable of eateries in the area, and explained the hotel cleaning process for Covid-19. It was obvious she enjoyed her job. That is always a plus. I left two hotels prior to coming here because of front desk inattentiveness. Nice comfortable hotel.
Ants in bathroom and kitchen areas. Staff not wearing masks in hallway. No masks while cleaning rooms with doors open. No masks while folding clean laundry. Manager argued with me when I reported breeches in their clean policy. When I checked before booking they said halls were cleaned with special machine every 2 hours. After 7 days I havent seen or heard them cleaned once. Breakfast is all carbs no protein. We also noted that you cant get out of the stairwells on several levels including the lobby level. Dont see a fire escape plan in the room.
Had a great experience staying here. They are in finishing stages of remodeling, my stay wasnt really impacted from it. Yes, I loved the comfortable king size bed and pillows, but I REALLY LOVED the water pressure! The staff was friendly. Overall good experience. The breakfast buffet area was not completed yet from the construction, but they still provided a full hot/cold buffet.
After a rough check in I did enjoy my stay here. The room was very large and comfortable to stay in. The bed sheets smelled fresh and clean, it was also very comfortable. The bathroom was the best part; water pressure in the shower was amazing and there was plenty of lighting. I just wish IHG hotels would now start accepting Apple Pay and Samsung/Android pay; NFC, that would make checking in a lot faster and smoother than pen and paper. Also virtual room door cards wouldn’t hurt...I mean we are in 2018 with computers on our wrist now!
Loved everything about the hotel. The only I would change would be the breakfast options. I know it is hard with COVID-19 taking place, but maybe you could do grab and go bags for breakfast or have more options and have an employee serve the food to cut down on contact between the guest, food and employees. But everything was great
This is the first time I have stayed at a HI Express. I have stayed at many other IHG hotels. It was so much better than I expected Very helpful staff, the room was clean and mostly comfortable, though I will say that some of the furnishings were awkwardly placed and the desk was too high to be of use to me, overall it was a very pleasant space. The breakfast is great. Not just rolls and bagels, they had eggs, biscuits and gravy, a pancake printer and some amazingly good cinnamon rolls. I would definitely recommend this hotel to family, friends and others. Oh, we had a suite room and it had a whirlpool tub. Didnt get to use it but maybe next time.
The staff and service in this hotel where amazing! I have stayed all over the country and this hotel probably had the best overall staff and management I have ever encountered. Willing to go out of their way to accommodate like Ive never seen before. Beds were extremely comfortable including pillows and they had a great selection of TV channels. The room I stayed in had a full kitchen including stove top dishwasher and full size fridge and of course microwave and Keurig machine. The microwave was the nicest Ive ever had in a hotel. I dont normally go out of my way to write reviews I travel so much but I felt this one needed to be done. I will never stay at another hotel in this area of Atlanta again. No swimming pool but I can deal
Even with the renovations work during my stay, the hotel was very relaxing and quiet at night. Very roomy with a comfortable bed and pillows. Excellent breakfast and fitness room. Only one elevator was working but didn’t ruin my stay. I really appreciated the satellite tv with HBO included with a working guide remote to view upcoming shows and channels.

2022-06-17The front desk customer service was great. Even though only one room was ready when we arrived after 3pm, the lady that checked us in was very professional and polite. The swimming pool closed at 8pm which is early since it was high 90 degrees the week we visited. The manager let the kids play for an extended amount of time after 8pm which was nice. But next day, the pool was closed and the Temps were even hotter. The rooms were clean. The beds were comfy. Only complaint about room is that the thermostat would not go any lower than 71 degrees. The room wasnt as cool as we would have liked it to be comfortable. Breakfast was good. The workers were very pleasant and accommodating. The variety of foods offered were ok. During our 4 days we had pancakes, muffins, cereal and cinnamon rolls every day. Then we had cheese omelets, veggie omelets, bacon, sausage links, turkey sausage and scrambled eggs throughout our stay.

2022-05-04First room unacceptable, microwave and fridge did not work. moved to second room, which was shabby and in poor condition. Bathroom: Tub had rust on drain ring and stopper. sink cracked. no towel bars of any kind to hang up towels. bedroom: apparently no king/queen beds available. Room had 2 full beds instead, which is not our preference. Room appeared shabby and in need of refurbishment. Our floor: had to walk by large stacks of furniture leaned against wall to get to elevator. Floor in front of elevator with visible stuff on it which was very sticky when we accidentally stepped in it. For the price per night, I expect more. This was the quality of a low budget hotel experience, not the quality I paid. We try to stay at Holiday Inn Express when traveling as there is usually a consistent quality, but this was awful. For positives, the front desk staff person was nice and the breakfast was good in the am.

2022-05-17Ipicked this hotel last minute after another hotel ruined my reservation. From desk staff to the morning breakfast staff. Phenomenal! This has been one of my best trips to Georgia in years since pandemic. Rooms not old. Very clean. Breakfast well stocked and well taken care of by the lady and gentleman that was working that morning.(i wish i knew their names i would send them 1000 dollars right now lol) I had to catch a flight early and they let me come in early to make sure i had food to eat before i left. Nothing like real human beings that dont operate like robots. I am in love with this hotel forever. Thank you so much.

2021-11-30We had issues with checking in, not the fault of the staff. But it was hard to understand why we had to pay a deposit and then the full payment for the room. I understand taking a deposit but it seemed pointless when we were checking in.I am a rewards member was not greeted with a Thank you, and did not receive the 300 points that I received at other Holiday Inn Expresss during the same week.Parking - no signs where the additional parking is located. When we checked in, the Front Desk Staff didnt tell us. We had to figure it out on our own.The door jam to the room looked like someone had tried to break into the room at some point in time. This did not make me feel very secure in leaving my things in the room to go visit my family. There were 3 of us staying in the room and that was listed on the reservation, but there were only 2 sets of towels in the room. The room was clean. In the room there was the coffee pods and some tea, but no Keurig. I told the front desk staff when we checked out the next day, but she didnt seem to care. The thermastat in the room showed Err on it. My husband checked the unit by the window it was turned off. He turned it on and I messed with the thermastat and it started working. Before going to bed, I looked at the thermastat and it was showing Err again. I told the front desk staff this as well when we checked out. She just kind of shrugged her shoulders. We have never had this kind of experience at a Holiday Inn Express. We will not be staying here again.

2022-05-20Was here for 2 weeks. The staff was friendly and welcoming. They have a good breakfast. The fridge in the room is almost a freezer in my room and the laundry machine is not only small but you have to pay 7$ for washer and 4 for the dryer. I would give them 4 stars still if it wasn’t for there manager. The WiFi at the hotel was down from Friday thru Monday night and I wasn’t able to work there. After that I asked to speak with the manager and for 10 days straight she has avoided me and ignored every message I left for her. The front desk even asked me everyday if the manager spoke to me and I said no and they would make her another note. Things breaking is understandable but avoiding your customers for 10 days straight is not.

2022-06-19Hotel is new and clean. Check in was fine. The TV didn’t work in our room, the outlets between our bed didn’t work, and one of the housekeeping staff aggressively knocked on the door at 9:30 am to “confirm our check out time.”The pool has recently re-opened and there are signs all over the hotel to “dial 0” for access. I dialed 0 four times over 20 mins and no one ever answered. When I went down to the front desk the attendant was simply scrolling her cellphone.

2022-06-05Positive: The weekend staff and the breakfast chef. When we checked in the staff, was accommodating and courteous. The breakfast chef was awesome!! Stella couldnt have been nicer. She was great! Her food was delicious too!. They also had a pancake maker. Negative: The weekday staff was rude. I called the HOTEL before I booked to see if their pool would be open. They said it would open May 30th. It didnt. The week-day staff rudely said it was down for maintenance til June 10th. I wouldnt have booked with them.

2022-06-03Nice people. Cozy. Good breakfast and service. Clean room. Very comfortable bed. Hotel is right next to a small park and.just a short drive from some good commercial. Sink was slow and clogged; we called too late and they couldnt fix it that night, but would have if we called earlier.

2022-04-28While the room was clean and comfortable there were a lot of buzzing noises during the night and the housekeeper was so loud on speaker phone complaining to her friend during the day. They need to manage the sounds so that guests can have peace and quiet in their rooms.
