Holiday Inn Express & Suites Bremen, an IHG Hotel in Bremen

We booked this hotel based on the fact that it was newly renovated. The lobby seemed updated, but when I asked at check-in I was told its been at least 9 years since the last renovation. The lobby had been renovated and some rooms had newer carpet. Disappointing as I was expecting what I have experienced at other Holiday Inn Express Hotels. The fact that I was an IHG rewards member was never acknowledged.
This property is a smaller Holiday Inn, very much an Interstate/over night type of hotel. Also very much caters to repeat clientele in the utilities/pipeline/construction industry, and is quite apparent. The good: Rooms were very good. Clean, very clean; Nice and updated look and feel. The not-so-good: The breakfast service closes way too early on Saturdays and Sunday; Elite IHG membership not recognized whatsoever - Very much felt like they didnt care at all about that!Note: We did not take any pictures
One of the nicest I have stayed in a long time. I was impressed by the cleanliness the room was. I was impressed by how big of a space the room was including the bathroom. I enjoyed the breakfast that was provided. Overall the accommodations was excellent and I will be stay at that hotel again the next time around. Easy access to anywhere I needed to go.
Perfect choice for a getaway or Business Trip. Very convenient location. Staff is there to help you with direction, local interest and help you with the small toiletries you may have forgotten. Its nice the location is close to shops and fuel stations. Great to fill the car up prior to bed time for that very early trip home.
I -would recommend you stay at a different hotel. The customer service is extermely poor and inadequate. Weve stayed at this hotel every time we come to Bremen, but it is now under new ownership. Simply trying to get batteries from the front desk to put in the TV remote was a challenge. Breakfast is less than acceptable-no fruit of any kind. Staff were unfriendly-and left us waiting for check-in wihile they were talking to family on the phone, and left us waiting another time while they were odering their dinner. Refused to allow a late check out for 12:30 due to we had a late flight at 4:30. We will be staying at the Courtyard Marriott in Carrollton Ga next time.
The staff did not clean my rooms. They came into one of my rooms, brought towels and did not lock the door. We complained about the ants and NOTHING was done. I complained several times about my rooms not being cleaned and no one returned my calls or acknowledged the complaints. I would not recommend this hotel. The staff is very disrespectful!!!
Although the location is fabulous the room was not clean. The microwave did not work, the garbage cans were not empty I did find a few dead ants on top of the bedding. There was not coffee for the coffee maker. I am generally very fond of staying at a Holiday Inn express. I have stayed at this particular property in the past and have been pleased. Was very disappointed this time around. I was in rather a hurry in the morning so I only grabbed a bagel with butter and coffee from the free breakfast buffet. The bagels seem to be very old and tasteless and the coffee not very good either. very, very disappointed don’t know that I will be coming back here to stay. There are too many other choices right in the area.
Positive: Hotel was in perfect location and the hot breakfast was very good. Negative: The manager had the indoor pool closed claiming it was for COVID, however I think that was just an excuse for not opening the pool. Customers can assess any risk on their own without having the owner to make the decision. Grandkids were disappointed.
Understaffed, loud, peeling paint in the bathtub -- not what Id hoped for in a Holiday Inn Express. I read a bunch of the negative reviews after contacting the manager about my stay and receiving no response, and it is clear, he just doesnt care. For most negative reviews, he just says issue noted and signs it GM. For more positive reviews, he puts his name. My impression is that Holiday Inn corporate probably requires the manager to respond, so he does, but with no real care or intention to fix anything. When I arrived, the person checking me in told me numerous times that they were understaffed and overworked, including the front desk staff washing the sheets so rooms could be ready. I sympathize, but I just drove 500 miles, Im tired, and I am dealing with my own personal problems (which I wont share with you -- your welcome). I opted for a premium room -- a king suite. It was right off the main entrance and across from an ice machine with big gaps in the door, so it was pretty loud. Thankfully, I brought earplugs. The room was clean and up to date, but the bathroom -- ugh. I dont know why they think it is okay to rent out this room. The paint is peeling off the tub and it really gives it a run-down roadside motel vibe. I wanted to take a bath, so I inquired at the front desk if any rooms were available with a tub without peeling paint, and the answer was no, they are all like that, you should email the manager if it bothers you. So I did and crickets. I should have stayed in the budget motel down the street, which would have saved me about half. Live and learn.
As we were on a road trip we decided to stop in Bremen At this Holiday Inn Express. Very pleasant hotel. Friendly staff greeted us. Found our room to be nicer than we expected. Slept well as it was nice and quiet Morning hot breakfast was a pleasant surprise especially post-covid. No complaints. Would stay again
Very nice hotel to stay at. Has laundry, gym and an indoor pool. They do offer hot and cold breakfast from 6am-9am I believe. Depending on the room you get, they have a lot of space, bathroom with a shower, mini fridge, espresso marker, TV and AC. Have lots of outlets for your phone and laptop, and have a desktop to get your work done. Room also comes with a safe to keep your valuables, and a ironing board is provided. There is also a couch in the room. Overall, its an amazing hotel to stay at if youre passing by.
The employee I encountered upon arrival was pleasant. Checking in was simple, however it was required to do in house not within the app. The room booked was conveniently right off the elevator which was awesome for some of my party. However as soon as the door to our suite was open all you could smell was lingering cigarette smoke over the entire suite. It got worse the longer we were in there. Did call to the desk and complain that a “non-smoking” property smelled of smoke. The employee we checked in with (not sure name or rank as we weren’t informed) came up and also noticed. We were offered a different room or discount on the initial room. We opted for a different room (paid for double bed suite; was offered single bed suite) just do to the smell alone. In the new room the in room safe did not work, and the bathroom was not the cleanest seeing how there were false eyelashes, and no tissue. The next day when we pulled out the sofa bed noticed it had not been made up at all. When we called to the front desk was told by a different employee that they would gather “what they had, I think we have a bed in a bag, and you can come get it.” There were numerous guests walking around without masks in all common areas of the hotel. Overall for a first time stay within the Holiday Inn grouping I was not impressed and will only stay here again if this were the only hotel available within the state.
Very frustrated with the fact their pool was closed. We specifically chose this hotel due to the pool versus other hotels with better rates. They need to advertise this on their website instead of being surprised by this upon arrival. Front desk was not helpful and rude about giving any kind of discount.
PRO: Close to lots of places to eat, and easy access to the highwayCON:We stayed for 3 nights. Upon arrival I asked at check-in about late check-out on Monday morning and was told they were too booked (when we left Monday there were 3 cars in the parking lot). We booked the queen suite that had a pull out couch due to the amount of people traveling. When we got to our room there was no bedding in the room, the phone did not work properly but i managed to get the front desk and was told I had to go down and get the extra bedding. We were given a thin blanket and 1 pillow, glad I packed my kids travel blankets. When we were making the pull out bed there were snack wrappers under it on the floor. Couch was thin and uncomfortable. The outlets and lights closest to the window didnt work, including wall lamps.Breakfast choices are not great compared to other Holiday Inn Expresses in GA so we did not eat this time around.Lastly the first morning after we arrived we were running late out the door as cleaning was coming by, I asked just for new towels because I always pick up before to make it easier on the staff. The next morning we only received new towels and our trash taken out. It might have been a misunderstanding but I dont feel like out room was cleaned other than new towels and the staff taking out the trash.
This hotel is extremely nice and I would recommend it and stay here again. The only minor issue we had was that our room was not reserved as handicapped as discussed when making the reservation and it was a king room with a pull out couch, which is definitely not what we asked for or told we would have. The staff on duty was very nice and tried to fix it but they were booked completely and were unable to change anything. They did reduce our bill slightly.
Bathtub in room 105 is chipping, falling apart and would not drain. Random people sitting in the lobby all night long, yelling and making noise. Walls are PAPER THIN, you hear EVERY SINGLE THING. I could hear the conversation of the folks above me word for word. Blood on the baseboard in the bathroom. I made the unfortunate mistake of leaving a specialty pillow worth a decent amount of money at this hotel. When I inquired about paying to have it shipped back, I got an automated message from a 3rd party company wanting to charge me $100 to ship it back 300 miles. Staff told me no to pretty much every request I had. It was just bad. Bad. I used to love this hotel, but things have changed.
I had to pull off the road and get a few hours of sleep because I couldnt physically drive anymore and not 1 hour later I was awoken by one of the employees bashing theyre hand on my brand new $50,000 car yelling at me to get up and move on as if I was some hobo or someone who started a fire. I have done this before many a times at hotels all across the country. Because of this one altercation I wont be ever staying at the residence ever again and I am going to make sure no one else I know does either. A simple hey sir unfortunately we cant have you parked here wouldve been fine but having keys and a hand bashed against my car is unacceptable.
This was an amazing hotel! They were very nice and professional. The room was great... oh my goodness the water pressure in the shower was heaven! They had an amazing breakfast! Sausage and gravey, egg white omelet (with veggies) and turkey sausage, pancakes... We would definitely stay there again!
I really loved this place in the past, but the last few times weve stayed has hurt my opinion. The most recent time, we were put on the first floor and could hear everyone else on top of us and all in the lobby all night. The bathroom tub (Room 105 for anybody who wants to fix it) is peeling and coming apart. Its bad. The bed is so uncomfortable, I still hurt. The staff was extremely nice, but when I made a mistake and left my purple pillow there, they wanted to charge $100 to ship it (third party company out of Canada), which seems extremely expensive to ship one state away. The room was mostly clean though, and I hope they are able to keep this place from falling apart. I got maybe 4 hours sleep in 2 days. This was a problem the time before when I stayed also.
Everything was great except the beds could be softer! Also, have the house keepers ensure shampoo, conditioner and body was is full. Our room was out of conditioner, and that’s not fun with someone with hair like mine! Other than that, clean and comfortable rooms and hotel in general!
Everyone was polite and knowledgeable. Rooms were great, clean and comfortable. Total atmosphere there was great. I would definitely recommend to stay there to every body I know. Beds were comfortable and clean. No wait time on check in or check out. Places to eat was close by even some in walking distance. Was just a little pricey for not severing any type of breakfast
The indoor pool was the only reason to pay the extra for this hotel, it was closed due to covid hysteria. Room was bland styling, but comfortably large. Thermostat at 65 heated well over 80. Small amount of mold in shower. Door needs repair, sticks. Bouncing kid in above unit finally stopped after call to front desk. Billed higher price than quote. Breakfast was good. Bedding was extremely comfortable. Definitely not worth the cost for me to save three hours of driving.Bottom line, dont advertise a pool that is no longer available.
Upon arrival I was greeted by a very friendly staff who were quick to get me checked into a nice room that was well maintained and clean. Nice comfortable king size bed. Good location around several nice places to eat. Not much to complain about here. Air could have been a little colder but I am hot natured so I have that problem everywhere I stay. Lol. Will definitely stay at this location again.
Positive: The room was spacious and provided us the room we needed. Negative: The bathroom was in bad shape. We were assigned a handicap room on the first floor due to being sold out. The tub needed repair as parts of the porcelain was missing. It had holes in the boards. This was the only problem but it was an eyesore.
Positive: The only good thing about this hotel is that it is better than the other hotels nearby. Negative: We were there four nights. Our room was serviced once and then it was only to remove trash and used towels and leave clean towels. I had to go to the desk and get clean towels and trash bags twice. Cigarette smoking everywhere outside. Yuck.
I have stayed at a lot of IHG hotels the past two years and this hotel needs some help. The bathroom floor was dirty. A lot of mold or mildew in the tile grout. Both of the bed side lights did not have light bulbs. The rooms were extremely noisy. Eveytime someone would sneak down the stairwell to smoke the doors opening and closing were loud not to mention the patrons talking loud. This was happening after midnight. When I first arrived I did not receive the regular greeting, thanking me for being an Elite Spire member.
The building itself is fine and the breakfast choices were good. However, I cleaned my room myself due to staff not wearing masks (not one staff person at check-in or staff cleaning rooms wore masks). One of the ladies serving breakfast wore a mask covering her face and the other lady wore the mask around her neck. Did not make sure customers stayed 6 feet apart when obtaining breakfast, etc. There was no disinfectant for room keys, etc. I stayed at another chain for the last 3 nights and they had incorporated all of the above into their COVID protocol.
We stayed at this location over the weekend and it was a fantastic experience for my family! Check in was easy and the associate who checked us in was extremely friendly and welcoming. In fact, every staff member we encountered during our stay was kind! The pool was so nice- heated comfortably and spacious. The continental breakfast was perfect- nice variety and we saw items getting refreshed constantly. Everything was clean and organized. The television in the room was huge with a great selection of channels. I have absolutely no critiques or suggestions, we had a great time! Thank you to all who made our stay comfortable and fun- we will certainly be back soon!
I paid for a King Suite but instead I recieved something far far less. I was unhappy about the whole situation my shower was missing big chunks of it the drain in the shower wouldnt drain, the light bulbs were not working properly, the air conditioner smelt weird when it came on the bed sheet had dirt or something on them plus any little noise whether it was above you out in the lobby area you could hear everything bc the walls were so thin and when you shut the room door you could see a big gap between it and the frame. This was not acceptable so I went to share my concerns and I asked if I could be moved and I was told they could pour some drain O down the drain if I wanted but there were no more rooms available. To say the least this is by far the worst HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS Ive ever stayed at and Im truly disappointed.
Room was filthy!!!! Stank of cigarettes in a non smoking room! My family members have breathing problems and we asked specifically for a non smoking room and it feels as if they picked the most smoked in room here! When asked if it could be fixed I was told that they didnt believe it was smoked in and if it was that we where the ones to do it! My family has never once smoked a cigarette or cigar one out of all of us! Terrible hotel dont waste your money when there are many other cheaper nicer ones in the area
Horrible experience. Booked a room here due to it being on our way and it having an indoor pool. Turns out that the pool says it is open on the website and when you get here and pay for your room you find out the pool is closed. So now we get to deal with our daughter being crushed because the pool is closed. All of this on her birthday to boot.
I try to stay at Holiday Inn Express when I travel for business so naturally thats my choice for personal and family. This property is one of the best. Clean, updated and comfortable. At check in Antinio was absolutely fantastic at the front desk. At breakfast Karla treated each guest like family. The only thing that could make this stay better is if they still had a hot tub.
Room is clean which is the only plusFront desk clerk super rude acted like I was interrupting HER life. Ordered pizza for dinner, they called the hotel and no one answered... so dinner tonight. They have a nice Keurig with no pods for coffee. They have body wash pump in shower and thats empty. Wasnt planning to stop and shouldnt have.Best part is they charged my credit card 50 more than I was told it would be. Worst part im here and have to 💤Just choose better.
I was on the road for 6 hours when I checked in to the Holiday Inn in Bremen. It was late and I was tired. Check in was quick and I was in my room in no time.Once in my room, I took a shower and retired to bed. I had a restful and quiet nights sleep. The bed was comfortable, and the assortment of pillows allowed me to pick out the perfect one.The next morning, I had a nice breakfast of pancakes before checking out and hitting the road. Delicious pancakes.I would definitely recommend this hotel to someone needing somewhere quiet to rest for the night, as well as an extended stay.
I really enjoyed my stay. It was very relaxing and the service was great! I love the room. The beds are very comfortable, I slept like a baby. I had everything I need and if I forgot something they had it. The rooms were very clean and well stocked. Everyone there was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. I will definitely be staying there again..
We love our experiences at Holiday Inn Expresses all across Florida and Georgia, until this one. There was no sleep due to yelling and thin walls/floors. We heard every step above us. We heard a concert going on in the next room. When brought up to the front desk, she was dismissive and didnt even offer an apology. The facilities are clean, showers are amazing and overall its a gorgeous place to stay. However, this is all pushed aside when you cant enjoy your stay due to noise. I never saw anybody doing any security walk throughs or checking for noise. Also, the key cards only work on one door. So if you come down the stairs and go out, you cant go back in that door because the scanner is broken. This is the first time weve been disappointed by a stay.
We normally stay with HIE when traveling to North, South Carolina and GA. For the most part it has been excellent. But after the WONDERFUL EXPERIENCEwith HIE in Lexington, NC ...from beginning to end...the experience trying to book in Douglasville was not good. Then moving on to Bremen was so so.But the breakfast area was not up to par. And the personal was just doing what ever when asked fora spoon [not available]. If you look at our recordyou will see how many times we have stayed withyou over the last couple of years. But June 5 wasnot one of the best. Yes, the hotel location upon thehill is impressive at night but I carried my suitcase tothe car because at 10:00 am on a bright sunny daymud was in parking lot at which time I did not wantthat in my car. You may say this is pickey but a guestnotices such things. And....you can check weather report...but do not think it rained during the night before. We could ask ourselves...What is the advantage of being an HIE member if treated like all others? And you say..................................
This was the worst hotel customer service I have ever dealt with!!!!! After staying 3 nights and being charged 500 dollars which was 150 more than I booked it for originally (the price magically jumped up when being officially charged) I was given the most terrible customer service and had an employee literally start being rude because she wasnt sure how to book the room for an additional night!!!!!! She called the owner in and actually brought another male employee to the counter trying to threaten/intimidate me for asking what was needed to be done in order to stay another night. During this whole encounter I decided to start recording because of the way I was being treated in front of an entire lobby of people. The owner arrives and refuses to watch the video of his employee/employees flat-out treat me with absolutely no respect after spending over 500 dollars just for trying to get an additional night. I have the videos to prove this and everyone should know how terrible this place is and its employees which I guess would start with the owner. With his lack of respect and the way that he treated me and by refusing to watch the proof of me being treated poorly and disrespected and also threatened i see how it got this way !!!! Dont waste your money for the poorly maintained rooms that you will be humiliated by the staff for trying to stay more nights!!!!!
I love this hotel. We stay at this hotel approximately every 60 days. Every time we have ever stayed there we have been greeted by warm welcoming staff. The hotel is undergoing renovation, but the updated version is looking awesome! I dont think IHG could find a better staff than the staff they have at the Bremen Holiday Inn Express! When we walk in we are greeted by name and a smile. They do everything in their power to accommodate all of our special requests from early check-in and late check-out to extra towels and extra coffee.
This was ment to be a mid stop on our way to the beach. With everything going on and travel bans issued, we were in a rush to get everything cancelled. Apparently I missed a step cancelling the reservation. After realizing I was billed almost $300.00 I contacted the manager and was told no refund would be issued. He was very blunt and not understanding! I did contact corporate and was able to get this taken care of. This was very disheartening to have to deal with in a time of great uncertainty! If given the opportunity we will not stay at a Holiday Inn again!
The HIE in Bremen, GA where we stayed May 20th is a good choice for an overnight stay if you are in NW Geaogia, travelingSouth to ,say, Warm Springs to see the historic site, or back north as we were. The motel offers everything you expect from a HIE : its clean, quiet and comfortable. The breakfast room offers a good variety of hot and cold items. As to dinner locations there are some places nearby, but we chose to do a takeaway from a nearby supermarket which offered salad bar, deli items and hot food items.Note: we approached the HIE from the south, and found it easily; it requires you it exit the main highway, and crossover a feeder road. No problem. It actually looks harder to do on Mapquest, Yahoo, etc., mapsRecommended highly.
Enjoyed the entire experience with the exception that we couldnt take a shower for the two days we were there due to the coating on the bathtub was peeling off. We feared that had we used the tub, that we would have been billed for damages. We had already signed off on accepting the room was in good shape. Next time we will check the room first ,then sign off on the paperwork. Other than that, we loved our stay at the Holiday inn in Bremen, Ga.
We appreciate the availability of Holiday Inn Express Hotels. This is our favorite place to stay overnight and we have not been disappointed in finding one in the area that we are visiting. Our experience has always been pleasant with noproblems. Rooms are clean; beds and pillows are comfortable. There is a variety of items available for breakfast and coffeeis good. Thank you HIE.
This place is great! The staff is always friendly and kind. When my husband is staying here while working in the area, we drive up to visit and the staff treats us wonderful, as if we are the ones staying for 2+ weeks at a time! We really appreciate how accommodating the entire staff is! This is the only hotel in the town he/we will EVER stay at!
This has been my home away from home for a couple of days at a time. I have never felt more welcomed at any of the other places I’ve ever stayed. The staff was amazing! The breakfast bar had choices so I didn’t have to eat the same thing every morning! Bremen being a small town had No impact on the service this hotel provides! They also have a indoor heated pool and a work out room. This Holiday Inn exceeded my expectations. If ur on I-20 n GA close to the Alabama line stop at Holiday Inn in Bremen GA. U won’t be disappointed!!
Stayed at this hotel for a business trip for only one night and it was nice, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast was good and there were also eating places and a grocery store within walking distance of the hotel. The staff was nice and greeted me upon my arrival. The only small thing was having to walk to the front desk for snacks and something to drink during the middle of the night. I wish there was a vending machine on every floor to eliminate the walk. Overall I would definitely stay here again in the future.
The Holiday Inn in Bremen Georgia was a really nice place to stay. The common areas and the room we had was very clean and well kept. There are plenty of the towels and toiletries provided. The front desk staff was very helpful at check-in and checkout. The only issue that we had during our stay is that there was a very rowdy group of people in the pool area and my daughter did not even want to use this amenity due to the loudness and craziness. It would be nice if the staff would manage this area a little bit better and ensure that it is a calmer environment.
We are remodeling the bathroom and had to leave for 24 hours. We chose the Holiday Inn Express in our hometown. The room was clean, king size bed, large clean bathroom and very comfortable bed. The pool was nice and wasnt crowded. Breakfast was great especially the cinnamon buns. It was pricey since we didnt arrive until early evening and check out was 11 am.
As always, Holiday Inn Express hit the mark! Comfortable, clean room. Friendly staff attentive to my needs! All the reasons Holiday Inn Express is the only place Ill stay!Usually stay at the other location in Carrollton, but I will now be staying at this location. Closer to family and just a little nicer!
Everyone I encountered was extremely friendly, the food at breakfast was wonderful. Housekeeping did an excellent job with keeping the whole place at the highest standard of cleanliness. The sheets in the bed were as if brand new every day and towels and hand towels were exceptionally clean and smell amazing, clearly the laundry staff is brilliant
Newly renovated and is very modern. We stayed in a King Suite that was very moderately priced compared to other online searches for Holiday Inn Express along the highway. The room was extremely roomy with what seemed to be at minimum a 40 flat screen TV. Very comfy king bed and also had a pull out couch. Large walk in shower in the bathroom, no tub, and also was larger than most standard hotel bathrooms. This was just an overnight stay on our way through but if we were to be in the area again, we would make sure to come back!
We chose this hotel for convenience for our travel plans. The hotel staff were courteous and friendly. The room was very clean and modern. What I liked best was no noise and a comfortable bed. I wish breakfast was available beyond 9:30. Good variety at the breakfast. The pan cakes from the machine tasted doughy. I much prefer the waffle maker for taste. Dont blame you for trying the more convenient pan cake maker, but ditch it. Overall a good stay and I would stay there again.
I stayed at the Bremen location at the end of May and then again in early July. Both times I had experiences that make me question the cleanliness of this hotel. In May, I experienced something that apparently Im not allowed to write on here because my review keeps getting denied. Lets just say its not something you want to wake up to and feel good about the cleanliness of your room. The TV in my room didnt work either. I reported both of these things to the manager, and he said he would take care of them and give me extra points for the inconvenience. I never received the points. During this past stay I noticed a strong odor when I pulled the comforter over me to go to sleep. I confirmed it was the comforter that smelled of strong BO. It was very late, and I was tired, so I just rotated the comforter instead of calling down to the front desk to complain. I question whether or not they clean the comforters on a regular basis. I travel to Bremen somewhat frequently for business, and this hotels location is very convenient, but after these past two stays I will likely be staying somewhere else.
I was prompted to write a review on a prior visit because of fresh tobacco smoke in a smoke-free room (smoke free establishment) and a somewhat uncaring attitude of the girl at the desk. This stay was much better. The staff (morning and evening) were friendly. Our room was a suite when we only requested a king bed. The room was fresh and all systems worked as expected. As Im a diabetic I would prefer better breakfast choices (at most Holiday Inn Expresses). The cereal is all sweetened. Why not cheerios instead of the sweetened cheerio look-alike substitute. Yogurt is a good choice but when you read the ingredients of the Dannon yogurt cups with fruit you see more grams of sugars than necessary. The meats and eggs are safe but not really what I want to eat while on a road trip.
We have traveled a lot over the years and this was one of the best hotel experiences we have had. From well maintained and carefully cleaned property to every member of the staff being out going, friendly and helpful, it was a wonderful stay. Thank you Mr. Patel, I pray more managers are able to accomplish what you have at the Holiday Inn Express Bremen. We will be back!!
Staff was really friendly and helpful. All hotels in the area were booked and this one took the time to work things around to fit us in. Family of 9 on vacation at 11:30pm. Clean, comfortable beds, great sleep. Breakfast was made fresh that morning. Biscuits and gravy were delicious. We were greeted three times with “good morning” and “how did you sleep.” Two thumbs up
I travel a lot for my work. Over the past year I have started to stay exclusively at the Holiday Inn Express chain because so far they have all been very good. It is consistently neat and clean with an exceptionally friendly staff. It just makes my work week go a little smoother because I know what to expect when I make it to my room each night. The hotel in Breman was no exception. The front desk staff go out of their way to meet my needs. They will certainly see me again if I am ever out that way.
Although this is a non-smoking establishment, the first room offered us for our last visit smelled strongly of smoke. It was so strong, in fact, that it smelled as if smoke was still in the air. We immediately requested another room and was offered another that was clean and as expected. The desk clerk said that the rooms on the end of the corridor of the floor of the first room offered were once smoking rooms and although it was cleaned for smoke residue it apparently hadnt worked. When I suggested that perhaps one of the employees or some of the paint crew who were painting the interior had stepped into that room for a smoke break as it certainly appeared that way, the clerk indicated that that might have been a possibility. She said that when the hotel went smoke-free that a lot of people were upset. I told her that a lot of people were also probably very happy because of the decision. The clerk wasnt the friendliest of people. She did her job but seemed as if she wasnt enthusiastic about it.We have stayed at this location quite a few times and find that it is usually a comfortable hotel and convenient to our travels. In fact, we were there exactly one week prior to this stay and the clerk was very friendly, recognized our priority club status and offered us bottled water or other items. The greeting of the desk clerk has much to do with the overall impression.
Ill do I normally stay at Holiday Inn hotels, this hotel is far below standard accommodations. I do realize it is at a renovation however my room was on the first floor and had already been renovated. The beds were disheveled upon our arrival, the desk clerk was rude, The amenities for less than appropriate, and there was an extensive amount of mold in the bathroom. In addition, the curtains were falling from the rings, there were large stains on the wall, and the place smelled very bad.The only positive was the lady who helped with breakfast. As she was quite apologetic for the rudeness of the night clerk. Breakfast was tasteless, however, her cheerfulness was the only bright spot of this visit. I would not stay in this hotel again.Normally holiday inn hotels are my favorite places to stay, however, this one was below the normal standard to which I am accustomed.Should management wish to see photos, I will happily provide them, however, I do not feel they are appropriate for posting to this site unless formally requested. It should also be noted that I did not inform local management of problems as there were no additional rooms available for that night and my family and I were staying only one night in the area. Please feel free to contact me should additional information he needed.
We booked our room just prior to arriving late. The only king bed room was a handicap room on the first floor. The room was right next to the lobby. The room was fine until about 4 am when all the preparations began for breakfast in the lobby. We could here everything. Needless to say we never got back to sleep and opted to get on road early with less rest than we hoped. We know better next time when offered a similar room!
Easy to find and a number of eating places near by. To get back on the main road there is a traffic light that makes it easy to exit. You are just one block from the interstate. We had to go to Carrollton and it was a nice 12 mile drive. We liked it very much. We enjoy staying at a Holiday Inn. Keep up the good work!
The ac sounded like a plane taking off, not great for sleeping. A corner self missingSpace around door so you hear everything going on in the hallway. Again not good for sleeping I was awakened at 3:00am from the room above us. Again not good for sleeping. I have pictures if you would like me to send them if the space around the door and the shelf missing. We use Holiday Inn Express whenever we travel and this was the worst for us.
Alay and his entire staff are Awesome! Would recommend this motel to everyone that is traveling. A wonderful place to stay. Alay and his staff are pleasant, friendly and very nice people. We made life lasting friendship. Thanks to each one of you for making our stay more enjoyable. We love you all.
I stayed there when evacuated from SE GA thinking Id be out of the line of Irma. Instead, she shifted West so two days later I went back home. PROS: The room was GREAT with a lot of floor space so would not have felt crowded even if I had to stay several weeks. That king bed was sooooo comfy and I slept like a baby. There were plenty of wall receptacles in locations you could actually reach as well as 110 and USB receptacles by the bed and at the desk. For once a motel room actually had useful overhead lighting as well as desk and bedside lights. The breakfast area had plenty of space and never felt crowded with a good selection of both hot and cold food. Every single person I interacted with was friendly and professional even though they were dealing with many evacuees both in person and on the phone. Cons: Really need much better soundproofing for the halls and rooms. While I dont use a pool I love a spa and this one was broken per the staff and had no water. That was a huge disappointment to me.
My friend and I stayed here for a wedding and it was great! The breakfast was better than other continental breakfasts that Ive had. The outlets had USB plug ins which was awesome, because I always forget to bring a block for my charger. The beds were comfortable and clean. The hotel is also very easy to find and is around a few restaurants.
Tried to book a wedding room block and after three weeks of calling and emailing I still never received a proposal . Finally decided to come in and speak to someone and was told they were doing an inspection and they couldnt help me at this time. I asked when he thought I would receive a proposal and more information and he said he did not know at this time I asked to see a room and he said they could not show me a room at this time they had too much going on maybe come back tomorrow . All I wanted from them was a timeline on when I was going to hear back from someone but I didnt even get that . I ended up going across the highway to Hampton Inn where they sent me a proposal six hours after speaking with them. Why would I want my wedding guest staying at a hotel where the customers do not matter.
Comfortable beds...very relaxing. The hotel staff was very accomadating to our needs. The complementary breakfast offered a huge variety every day that we stayed. The coffee was excellent. The overnight clerk procured several cartons of milk for our young child that we were traveling with our party. The showers were hot...very clean rooms. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling through the West Georgia area.Loved our accomadations!!!
Nice hotel! Stayed one night while traveling from South Carolina to Dallas. Location was great, right off I-20. Neighborhood seemed safe. The hotel l looked to be about 85% finished with a top-to-bottom renovation. Rooms are completely updated with sleek furniture and comfortable beds. Room also had a single serve Keurig coffee brewer, microwave, and mini fridge. Lobby and common areas still needed some finishing touches, but it was clean. Nice free breakfast. Staff was friendly, helpful, and efficient. Would definitely recommend.
This hotel is very clean and well kept. The grounds were very nice. The staff is attentive and made sure that our needs were met. There were clean towels at the desk for us to use on our Z/G cars (it rained)! What hospitality!!The hotel representatives at the desk were super friendly, even asked questions about the car event (Z Nats) and our cars (Nissan Z, G, GT-Rs).The morning breakfast provided ample choices for food selections, from cereal, yogurt, and eggs/sausage, even rice, rice toppings, and noodle bowls!! I have never seen a pancake machine...pretty cool. The beds were so soft, multiple pillows too. Never had to search for one that had fallen off, I had four on my bed! The A/C unit kicked out the coldest air possible, had to turn it off at one point! The room amenities were just right. Loved the updated bathrooms and lots of soft towels.Very pleased with this hotel.
One the whole, clean facility, friendly staff, spacious rooms, cool furniture, and very convenient location.Had one tiny thing that wouldnt keep us from staying there again, but seemed like something that was happening due to an unsupervised staff and not consistent with company service standards. It wasnt huge just made us frown a little. We both forgot toothpaste. There was a sign in the bathroom that said something like Forgot something? Call the front desk and one of our staff members will bring it right up. First of all, on the phone, the quick-dial button for the front desk did nothing when you pressed it- not even a dial tone. So I dialed 0 for hotel operator, got the front desk. When I asked for toothpaste and gave my room number, the attendant said, Yeah...we have some...come down and get it. So forcing myself to dress a little earlier than I had planned, I did. Again, wasnt a big deal, but why post the sign and not be able to back it up with service?
Besides the bathroom floors being dirty , I was very Upset that on the entry door it states “ Masks Required “ Yet hardly anyone but us wore masks! In the lobby when we arrived a man and woman were at the front desk NO Mask touching everything REALLY! I watched front desk lady and people coming and going to Breakfast Bar no masks, coughing then handling food,Disgusting I wanted a banana but they were dark I ask if they had Any more I was told no, we left wearing our masks to eat at a drive Thru.
From check-in to check-out, the staff was outstanding. They did everything they could to make me welcome. The lady that set up and maintained the breakfast area, was very good. She was sure that I had everything I needed. Overall a very nice stay, and I plan to visit the motel again and again, as I have family and friends in the area.
Stopped for the night on way home from vacation. Easy access from interstate.. Numerous food establishments near hotel--no problem finding something to eat even late at night. Hotel VERY clean , very comfortable beds. All the amenities one would need.. Nice pool and hot tub!
A perfect place to stay for our overnight visit to family. Room and bathroom clean and nice. Quiet motel. Friendly and helpful employees. A special shout out to Joyce the breakfast host. She was so genuinely friendly even at 6:00 AM that it just started your day off right!!
This property is the neatest, cleanest hotel we have ever be to. Staff is charming, everything works properly, all amenities that should be available are.As a top-rated custom home builder I am EXTREMELY picky, and if I ran this hotel I dont think I could find anything to improve.
The Holiday Inn Express in Bremen was absolutely delightful. The rooms were immaculate and roomy. The breakfast had an incredible variety of choices and was replenished regularly. The exercise room was great with free weights. The whole family spent a a lot of time in the spacious pool. A little gem in West Georgia. I would go back to Bremen just to stay at that hotel.
On this most recent business trip, I had to change hotels a couple of times due to overbooking. I found this hotel by chance and was very lucky find. Quiet, convenient, clean, safe...all at a great price. I actually changed the remainder of my reservations on this trip to stay at this location again. Overall best value in area. Would definitely book this location for future trips.
Just about everything was as you would expect for a Holiday Inn Express. Just a couple of things Ill mention that were minor annoyances: There wasnt any signage directing drivers how to get into the parking lot off of the main roads (at least we didnt see any coming off of I-20); the curtains on the window above the air conditioner were situated in a way and light enough that the air conditioner caught them and puffed them out...thus blocking the air flow into the room - this was remedied by simply opening the innermost curtain (the privacy shade was still closed); the breakfast food selection was good but some of the cooked items (cheese omelets and cinnamon rolls, in particular) werent the freshest Ive had at a HIEX - they werent bad...just not great. Overall, the stay was great: comfortable bed, attentive staff, nice facilities, reliable Internet, etc.
After traveling for 11 hours that day, we were hoping to have a much better experience. This was on the night of 11/28/15. We walked in and asked for the rate . The girl at the front desk, gave us a rate and proceeded to tell us that she had one handicapped accessible room left on the 1st floor. We are not handicapped at all....just very tired. She seemed to be very anxious to sell that room for some reason. Well, at 2:36 in the morning of 11/29/15, someone next to us decided to take a bath and a shower and then someone else did the same thing. Then, it was party time! Needless to say, we did not get any sleep after that. Wonder if the girl at the front desk knew what was going on! It sure seemed that way seeing how excited she was to sell us that room. Anyway, the next day, as we were leaving, we heard someone at the front desk apologizing to another customer about something that went on with them. We dont know whats going on there, but someone needs to keep a better eye on the help. We were very disappointed and will not stay there ever again!
Very nice hotel. Great location with nice views. Everything about this hotel and staff were excellent from the breakfast to the exceptionally comfortable bed linens. I will stay here again. And to top off a great stay, the desk clerk chased me down in the parking lot to give my my glasses I had left in my room.
The stay was average overall but for very strange reasons that surprised us. The room was clean and looked beautiful as we entered, the amenities were acceptable and breakfast was delicious. The room had gaps around the door where everything outside could be heard inside and everything inside could be heard outside. I did ask to be near the elevator but I didnt realize the room would be so poorly sound proofed. I heard the elevator and ice machine all day and night. Other than that the only thing that really shocked me was that most of the staff was satisfactory but just not engaging at all. It was difficult to have a conversation with them because there were moments of passive aggression and other times when it just seemed that our requests were an annoyance to them. Ill give them the benefit of the doubt though, I imagine they were packed with tons of requests as many other people fled from hurricane Irma and they were surely at full capacity trying to help keep everyone happy. Id stay again but Id love to see the staff a bit more pleasant and engaging. I didnt get any recognition as an IHG rewards member in any way but I wasnt surprised by that.
Since my last stay at this hotel it has been totally redecorated. The upgraded decor is most pleasant. I especially liked the new window shades rather than curtains that shut off more light at night from outside. Very nice feature in the new decor, probably my favorite thing. Keurig coffee pot.
Very friendly staff. The property was located close to several activities I had planned so it was easy for me to make my appointments and still have a home-base between events. Good choices for breakfast and Ive never got a bad cup of coffee. My grandkids had a blast at the pool and started calling the hotel their second home. Holiday Inn has been my first choice for lodging away from home and based on this experience it will remain so.
Weve stayed here many times. It looks like this was possibly an oversight, but there was mold around the handhold areas of the tub, and hair in the tub. Everything else was squeaky clean it just looked like no one looked against the wall to make sure that those metal handhold areas were cleaned well. I dont like to leave bad reviews - the food was good, the bed fairly comfortable, the room quiet, good internet - it was just the tub.
My husband and I were traveling for work and googled hotels near us. When showed up here at 3am praying they had a room. All their regular rooms were booked but we were offered a suite for a great deal. The front desk staff at 3am was wonderful. We enjoyed talking with her before we made our way to the room. Our room was beautiful and very roomy. The bathroom was gorgeous. I am very picky about hotels. I dont like to see evidence of someone else being there before me, it grosses me out. These rooms were pristine. We enjoyed the breakfast options too. Omlets, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, cereal, bagals, sausage, yogurt, juices, and coffee. Very very nice. Even though we only stayed about 7 hours it was exactly what we needed and we enjoyed it. We would definitely stay here again!!! Highly recommend!!!
Third year staying here. Always has been a nice place to stay. Most anything you may would need is close by: grocery store, gas station and eating places. Just off interstate but very little traffic. Staff has always been very friendly. This year the lobby was being remodeled but it didnt take away from our families visit. Will be staying again next year. The only thing I needed was a extra mirror. There was one in the bathroom but that was all.
I had to travel to a facility located in Bremen, GA and the location of the hotel is good. Its nice that it is very close to the highway, but it was a little hard to understand how to get to the parking lot and when you leave out of one exits you can only turn right. The room and hotel itself is nice and the room looked very updated and had everything I needed. The only thing I would add though is the housekeeping staff should try to have a policy that they knock and announce they are going to enter a room. I checked in early and my room was ready early but an employee opened up my door and I was in the bathroom. If they knocked I would have been able to let them know I was in the room.
This was our 4th annual trip to the resort. The place is clean and comfortable but most of all the staff is friendly and eager to assist if needed from the front desk, pool area, maintence to maid service. This has been true every time! The restaurant food is good and reasonably priced. Once we arrive we do not touch our car until time to leave.
Easy access from interstate. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Very comfortable bed with choice of pillows( firm and soft). Amazed at the number of computer and electrical outlets in the room-- not normally found in your usual hotel room. It was greatly appreciated as I had medical equipment that needed to be plugged in as well as phone etc.
This is probably the best Holiday Inn Express I have stayed in. The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly and the amenities were well above average compared to other HI express in my experience. I think my favorite was the large TV with a great selection of channels. Breakfast was mostly standard fare but was all good. The rooms was quiet and the internet connection seemed fine.
Our stay was fine. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The night clerk Stacey was very nice and friendly. I did forget to tell them that the electrical sockets by the fridge and on one wall were not working properly. Some rooms were still under construction so I assume they are still trying to finish little details. Overall stay was very satisfactory.
The staff was very friendly upon checking. Overall appearance and cleanliness was great. My room was pleasant temperature wise when entering, plus being neat and clean. Very quiet environment. Food was good and checkout was quick and easy. Definitely will stay there again.
Making a quick overnight stop in the middle of a 1000 mile trip. After being on the road for eight plus hours we were extreamly pleased at warm reception we got at checking in and more impressed with how spacious and clean the room was. The morning staff was very pleasant and friendly. Made it a pleasure to stay on such a short time.
Very comfortable to stay in. As I get older, one of the best things for me is to be able to get a good nights rest. Not sure when Holiday Inn upgraded their beds, but this was excellent.Breakfast choices were not extensive, but what was there was well maintained and very good.
Staff was great. Recognized as Platinum Member. Only complaint was that I could hear the TV from the room next door. It would not have been bad but they must have had it on all night so I was able to hear it during the middle of the night. Minor issue but other than that everything was great!
On a positive note this hotel is very convenient to the Mill Town concert hall and the bed was comfortable. However, there were a lot of issues. The worst thing was we could not sleep in because the housekeeping making SO much noise!! They flipped the metal lock on the door around, so that the door would not lock and then proceeded to go in and out of the rooms just letting the door slam in to the latch!!! It was so loud, so rude, and so uncalled for! We finally stepped in to the hall to say something and it appeared to be the head of housekeeping with another housekeeper. Are you kidding me!! They seemed shocked we were mad and did not seem to care. It was so loud it shook the walls. This was supposed to be a relaxed Sunday morning!!They stop breakfast at 9:30 even on the weekends. I have never had a hotel cut off breakfast this early on the weekend. The end door on the hotel says you can enter with your room key, but there is nowhere to scan the key. Of course, we discovered this while we had all our luggage and then had to go around to the front door. The lights above the bed were not working. The tv remote was not programmed, so we could only watch one channel until getting a new remote. The lower wall beside the tub was coming apart and gross looking. It seems to me that the management is more concerned with pinching a penny than taking care of issues or treating guest like they care. Unfortunately, this attitude seems to have trickled down among the staff.

2022-05-22The room and stay was great the first 2 nights. The first morning of breakfast was good and I took it up to my room for me and my wife. I would rate it a 5 star experience, but unfortunately a staff member was less than hospitable on the 2nd morning I went to get breakfast and the uncomfortable experience made me change my mind about staying a 3rd night. While I was placing breakfast for 2 (4 sausages, 2 biscuits, and scrambled eggs) in a container, a staff member approached me and told me I was only allowed to use hotel plates and could not eat in the rooms (a new rule). I scanned the breakfast area and apologized to her and told her that I did not see a sign and was not made aware of the rule that was also unwritten and not posted, when I checked my wife and I in 2 days prior. The breakfast was already in my Tupperware and it would be unsanitary to put it back and unreasonable to throw it away, so I kept it and headed back to the elevator. The staff member who was now helping another customer with breakfast went out of her way to say to me I hope you enjoy ALL THAT FOOD in a tone that made me feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome in an establishment that I had already paid to stay in. I replied that WE would and thanked her with more of a courteous tone than I was given.Another guest walked away from the breakfast area holding a bowl of leftovers and was not harassed in anyway. I got back to my room and packed to go to a different hotel. I suggest that the staff post or convey rules to all guests that do not coincide with providing great rooms with appliances (such as a microwave and a refrigerator) that would lead customers to reasonably believe that eating in a room is acceptable, as it is in every other hotel or motel in America. I wish the minor encounter had not affected me or my stay, but unfortunately it did. I expect comfort and a non-confrontational staff in any establishment that I pay to stay in and my expectations were not met. The other staff were all amazing and courteous. I debated not writing a review, but after settling into my new hotel room and still feeling slightly bothered, I decided it would be best for me to report the incident in some way. There was no one at the front desk at checkout to express my concerns to.

2022-06-18As soon as we stepped into the room we stepped into a puddle of water. At first with the overwhelming smell of cleaning solution we thought it had been freshly mopped and someone didnt dry it up afterwards. Then I noticed the water was coming from the mini fridge so grabbed a towel and dried it up. We were just dropping things off and heading out so I made the front desk aware of the situation and was told they would investigate. When we arrived back over five hours later we stepped into the room and right back into a puddle of water from the fridge. I went back to the front desk and was asked if I had checked to see the temp settings, when I told them we had checked in and made them aware of it and left they again asked if I had checked the settings to which I replied no since it was supposed to be looked at by a member of the staff. They offered to move our room unless I wanted to check the settings on the mini fridge myself. So I asked for extra towels to soak up the mess. Apparently Im not only a guest but also a member of the maintenance staff. Hope it pays well. As for the condition of the bathroom Ill let the photo speak for itself.

2022-02-18Fine hotel stay. The only problem is this:I use the IHG app for convenience because my employees and myself travel a lot and I want to keep it streamlined as much as possible. It seems to be becoming more common to not be able to retrieve the hotel bill from the app, and I end up having to call the hotel and get it sent to me. If I wanted to check out at the desk each time to retrieve it, or call to retrieve it, I wouldnt need the app. If this continues, I most certainly will choose another brand.

2022-03-24Positive: The lady at breakfast was outstanding. So friendly and helpful. Negative: I was very disappointed in two aspects of my stay. The ice machines were not working and the water machine in the workout room was also out of order.

2022-04-17Noisily rooms. Do not accept the rooms 221 and 321, they are located over the laundry rooms and I think is the exhaust fan that has a constant noisy causing disturbs during nights.Rooms are not been cleaned properly. Lady at breakfast area is so friendly and helpful.

2021-11-10We had actually booked another hotel for a wedding but when we got there, we knew we could not stay there. We called Holiday Inn Express to see if they had any rooms available. After explaining our situation that we had flown in from out of town and really needed to change hotels, they found us a room. Unfortunately, the only room available was the room right by the front desk and breakfast area. The room was clean and comfortable but understandably noisy. The next morning we explained the situation and the front desk found us another room at the end of the hall which was just as clean and comfy but much quieter! They were very accommodating.
