The hotel lobby is quite nice and modern. Access to highway and downtown Savannah is good. Hotel clerk was friendly and efficient but did not wear a mask. No water was offered. The room we had was a king size bed and felt quite comfortable and roomy. Generally clean room except for floors in bathroom and hallway. We happened to have lysol wipes with us so we washed these floors ourselves after seeing dirt and crumbs. The price is definitely over priced for this level of hotel. Breakfast was average. We would like to see all staff members wearing masks but only about 50-75% were wearing them. We assume the dirty floors is not a common occurrence and would recommend this hotel with the above issues that include floors and price which do reflect poor value.
I was generally happy with the hotel, but the blackout shade did not work, and even though I asked 3 staff members to address the issue it was never resolved. In addition, the faucet handle in the bathroom kept coming off. Cleanliness in the bathroom could have been better—the floor needed a thorough mop and the glass shower doors needed to be cleaned. As I checked out I mentioned all of theses issues to the desk clerk one last time. Normally I am much more impressed with Holiday Inn and Suites and was disappointed to find so many issues with this particular hotel. There seemed to be very few staff at the hotel, which I am sure contributed to the problems I have listed.
One of the cleanest and friendliest hotels weve visited, and the breakfast was quite good and lovingly served. And the evening manager went out of his way to assist with a special need. Kudos!Love the lighting, the convenient USB ports, and the the international plug in the desk lamp.We visited the local Calvary Chapel Church, ccsavannah.com, and the Table Guacamole at #MexicaliFresh was terrific!Well be back soon!
Hotel was clean staff was nice this hotel is far enough from downtown Savannah but close enough to be easily access downtown attraction big concern we had was was parking because we have a dully truck we had no issues bed was very comfy over all a good choice for us highly recommend. Will stay here again we stayed last weekend good job to your staff there thanks
Had to stay here after our previous place was infested with roaches. We were super paranoid going in, but there was no reason to be as the place was clean, the staff was nice, and the bathrooms were clean. We booked at 11:30pm and checked in at 11:45pm, so we did have to pay a hefty price, but I was glad to check into a normal hotel.
Customer service is terrible. It clearly states check in is available at 3:00 it was 5:00 before I got my room the girls that worked the front are lazy and playing with their phone constantly lying. The manager gave clear instructions for them to bring me my key when the room was done after 2 hours I called the front desk and they say they got the room ready but didn’t have time to bring it. They stated they were on their way with it only for me to get another call saying they came to bring me the key but I didn’t answer the door. LIES they never came so I finally just went tot get the key myself only to see the front desk clerks playing on their phone. This disturbed my soul
Our experience at this hotel has been exceptional every time we have stayed at this location. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, rooms are clean, breakfast is good we just wished they extended the breakfast hours a little longer. The check in and check out process has always been outstanding because of the friendly and courteous staff. The front desk staff makes you feel welcome and at home.We have stayed at this hotel over five times now and the outstanding service is the same, nothing has changed. When we visit the Savannah and surrounding areas this will be our go to place, our home away from home!!! You will not be disappointed if you stay at this location!!! Happy as I can be to have finally found my home away from home!!!!
The Staff was simply great from checking in to checking out. Sylvia and Mark who made us feel right at home. They took care of my party of four just as if we were the only ones there, but the hotel was completely full. Sylvia also explained in detail what kind of services we would be getting from the start due to Covrid-19. Brandi, who works in the morning taking care of food service was full of smiles and just wonderful to listen to. Even though I was about 15 minutes late for breakfast, she was a big help and made sure my day started with a good of breakfast. I liked the fact that there were multiple breakfast options. Felicia did a wonderful job and made sure that check out was amazingly easy. She even corrected extra charges which had been put on the bill in error. The room was clean, and the beds were nice and comfortable. We stayed multiple nights and we liked the idea that the crew did not have to come into our room to clean in the morning due to Covid-19. The idea of getting your basic needs like extra towels, soap or trash bags was great. We also liked the dispenser for soap and shampoo/conditioner in the shower.
We loved that this hotel is right off the freeway and easy to navigate to shopping and all the fun things to do in the Savannah area. Staff was attentive at check-in, quick and efficient, and rooms were clean. The beds/pillows were amazing! We slept well during our stay. Appreciated having both microwave and refrigerator, and Keurig in the room for our use. The hot breakfast was really good and there were a great deal of other packaged breakfast foods as well. We will definitely stay here again when we travel to the Savannah area.
I was here on business, but the accommodations and staff made it super easy to relax and enjoy myself in my downtime. All of the staff that I encountered here were awesome (Telena, Felicia, Karla, Imani & Austin) and made my first trip to Savannah an enjoyable one. These folks take great pride in their work and hotel; you wont regret spending a night here. Thank you all for everything you do! I look forward to visiting again soon!
For the proximity to Savannah, this hotel was a great value. We were pleased with the layout of the room and the bathroom was incredibly roomy. The bed was very comfortable (we had a king) and the hotel was quiet. The only downfall was the breakfast, but that was due to COVID. Everything was prepackaged and theres just not a good selection, but at least they are trying to get you some kind of food in the morning.
We drove from NY to Savannah. We arrived much earlier than our scheduled check-in and we were exhausted. The woman at the front desk was so kind and understanding and allowed us to check-in once I told her we would be sleeping in our car in the parking lot. The hotel was clean, breakfast was satisfactory and all of the staff were friendly and welcoming!
The hotel was very nice and room was clean. The beds were comfortable. The lady who checked us in was nice and friendly. We stayed here and drove to the beach at Tybee Island during the day, which was about 30 minutes. The only issue we had was no milk for cereal with the complimentary breakfast and the only thing working on the juice machine was apple juice. The lady working during breakfast hours was not overly helpful. Overall a great place to stay.
Typical standard newer Holiday Inn express property. All would have been good but there was no soap in the hotel during my two day stay. Also, half the breakfast items were missing on day one. Hotel staff said it was due to supply chain issues. But they could have thought out of the box and gone to the local Sam’s Club, or Walmart, etc., and purchased small bars of soap, and small containers of milk for their guests. They told me they were not allowed to do so, they only could use IHG brands. That’s fine, but why put the problem on the guests? Really disgusted that there was no soap, doesn’t do anything to instill confidence on hotel cleaning and does not represent the IHG “commitment to clean“ promise. I asked the front desk for a refund and they laughed at me.
The rooms were quiet, clean and the property appeared new and in a good state of repair. Not too many food options in walking distance but plenty if your willing to drive a few minutes. Looking for a new car, there are like 5 new car dealerships within walking distance of the hotel.Breakfast was pretty good for COVID standards, but I would have liked to see a little more in the way of Variety.I would recommend this property.
We stayed here over the weekend and had a very comfy experience. The front desk ladies were inviting and friendly. They even took time to answer all my questions about where to eat and what to do. I didnt feel rushed. I had an issue with my card and they promptly took care of it. Our room was spotless and they have full-size shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the shower. The breakfast ladies were a charm.. Miss Ruth and Barbara were friendly and helpful. A real treat to meet and talk to. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will be staying here when back in the area. Thank yall for the amazing experience. Our stay helped our weekend getaway be extra restful.
It took for me to be checked in three different rooms and it still wasn’t right floors were dirty. Bed partially made. Water in the floor. Floors in mopped. Hair in the sink. Carpet filthy in the 3rd room I was put in. cobwebs. The guest were extremely loud all night. No parking
Our room was clean, beds comfortable, and breakfast was pretty good. The only thing I think should be improved is the front desk personnel informing and reminding guests to wear masks around the hotel during Covid. There is a big sign on the front door telling guests to wear masks around the hotel, which they conveniently ignore.
The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of the local area. The a/c in most common areas was out so those spaces were very warm and muggy inside the hotel. In my room on the 1st floor, I had to keep the a/c set to 65 degrees and fan constantly running to keep the temp around 68-70 and cool enough to sleep comfortably. I thought the price was above the experience but I understand cost/demand. The hotel was booked full, however, considering the common area lack of a/c and cuts to breakfast items available, there should have been some compensation in the form of price cut. I would still stay again, but probably not at the same price if other hotels with similar offerings are available at lower price.
The rooms are always clean. The bathrooms have plenty of room and you do not feel cramped. The beds are the most comfortable and have inspired me to make my bed at home more comfortable. Holiday inn is very consistent between hotels which is great because you know what to expect every visit.
Booked the room based on where we were going to stop on our trip further south. Never have stayed here before and was over joyed with the hotel on our arrival. We arrived late and a friendly front desk lady was waiting for our arrival. We had reserved 2 rooms and both were the nicest and cleanest rooms that I have stayed in many years. The breakfast area was safely arranged and had quality choices which I rate a 10 out 10. We be back here on the next trip south
We stayed here one night because downtown was sold out. The location was excellent. We were greeted immediately by very friendly staff. Each staff member spoke as we walked to our room. Even the cleaning staff spoke and asked if we needed anything. Super clean. The breakfast selection was amazing as well.
Terrible experience not up to other hotels that we have stayed in by far. Room was clean and furniture comfortable. Pillows were awful shower was anemic with no water pressure at all, did not like soap and shampoo into the dispenser lobby was freezing everyday and when I asked the desk clerk for recommendation of a restaurant nearby she just pointed me to a bunch of brochures. Could have been a nice place to stay if we were given the option of having housekeeping service which we would have taken because we were inoculated. Terrible to go down to the desk every day to get towels and toilet paper.
We are not big complainers and understand that it wasnt a luxury hotel but it had some housekeeping things that should have been addressed prior to making it available for guests. The sofa had an unpleasant smell. Also, the shampoo and conditioner holder was loose/broken making it difficult to dispense product. Overall, it was ok.
Needed last minute place to stay in Savannah for a wedding on a Saturday night. This hotel was conveniently located with free parking and super easy to access from the highway. The check in process was a bit slow due to some technical issues so a digital check in process would have been helpful, but the beds were super comfy which was the only thing that really matters.
This hotel was very clean. One of the desk clerks was very friendly but the other is not so much. The breakfast was great. We were awakened by someone who wanted to clean our room 3 hours before check out. We were there for 4 days and had to go to the front desk for towels and toilet paper, the conditioner in the bathroom was completely out, and there was one single tissue stuff down in the box. Not the most convenient stay. It is in a nice location but we will choose another location next time
This is a very clean motel and the staff is excellent. It is close to the interstate so access to Savannah is just a few miles. We were going to Tybee Beach and this is a much better place to stay than on the island (sorry). The breakfast has been opened back up to full service and is excellent. The parking lot is well lit and I feel it to be relatively safe. There is a Shell station in front of the motel for easy gas fill up. I have to mention that the lady at the front desk named Sylvia went out of her way to be sure we had lids for our coffee-to-go cups. We always stay here when we come to Savannah.
The rooms were nice and clean upon arrival. The breakfast was distanced and HOT, with great options. We had many private pool times as a family or just one other family. The side entrance worked and we were on the end of the hall. Easy to use luggage carrier with breaks was perfect. We didnt realize another guest was next door until we saw them going in their room. Quiet and overall a great stay. They do not clean rooms during your stay if its 3-days or less. Other than a loose faucet handle, water was hot and great time away. Shawna, at the front desk, was pleasant, outstanding and so helpful.
Manager on duty rude and noncaring. Offered two filthy dirty rooms/bathrooms on arrival. Pool murky and dirty looking also. She had an attitude with me because I asked for what I paid for, a clean room and bathroom! Elevators were filthy as well. Breakfast was the only good thing about my stay. Check your sheets and pillowcases because they are definitely not changed after each guest.
Had thousands of ants in our room. We were moved to a new room which I checked for ants, didnt find any. Once we got moved it upon further inspection the room was dirty. Found multiple items on the floor. Eventually gave up, just stayed because it was to late in the day to move to a new hotel. Paid $202 a night for this. Never again. If there was a way to get a refund, I would definitely try.
This hotel location is convenient; free on-site parking. The room was generally comfortable, except for mattress way too soft. The bathroom was okay, although only 1 bar of soap provided; has the community shower gel pump in shower. Guests get one set of towels; no extras until you give them the dirty ones; some bath towels are tiny (child-size); this takes away from a comfortable experience. The breakfast is awful. Theres a toaster there, but nothing to put in it; no bagels or English muffins or even plain sliced bread; yogurt all same flavor. So we had to go out for breakfast after counting on having it there.
The overall experience was great but I was very disappointed in but I was very disappointed in the breakfast service. I was traveling with children and wanted to have easy access to breakfast easy access to breakfast but most of the options were not available. There was no fruit, bread, bagels or waffles, very limited items and when I enquired of the hotel manager she acted like she would solve the problem but never did. Same issue on both days I stayed at the hotel. The rooms were excellent and the rest of the staff were great so this one aspect is very off brand.
To be 100% honest, in my past experiences, lower priced rooms means poor customer service, uncomfortable mattress and sheets, and poor quality of the room and bathroom. In this case, I booked the hotel within my budget and still felt like I was staying in a 5 star hotel. The room was spacious and clean, the bathroom and shower was extremely nice, the bed was very comfortable and it was all within my budget. That says a lot to me about a company. I don’t feel at all as if I was ripped off or used which is a bad feeling especially when you bring your significant other for a weekend getaway. My girlfriend wanted to stay in a 5 star hotel and to be honest I thought I had messed up when she found out it wasn’t. Let’s just say, she complimented the room, the bed, the bathroom, and the customer service. She also made the comment about how she wish she could take the bed home how comfortable it was. Also, her being a nurse, she complimented on the staff wearing their masks and she felt very safe staying at the hotel. Her and I both complimented how big the room was and the bathroom- extremely nice!
We arrived 3 hours after our check in time and they still didn’t have our room ready and we had to wait at least another 30 minutes before we were able to go up to our rooms and get settled. Also if you have never been to Savannah before coming this hotel isn’t in the most scenic or nicest part of the city. If you are looking for more of the views or being closer to the water and historic sites you will want to go to one of the other closer locations.
I was only in town for one day on business. The staff was very friendly and professional. The hotel was VERY clean. The room I stayed in was downstairs at the front. I thought it would be noisy but it was not. The curtain provided made the room very dark and allowed me to get a much needed nights rest. I would highly recommend this place for a stay.
Overall the stay was very nice. The breakfast because of Covid was limited but worked out. The only issue after staying more than one night was housekeeping service. There wasnt anyone to replace towels, etc. at all during the day. I had to go down to the front desk and the lady there was very busy. I wandered down to the laundry room hoping to find someone to exchange dirty towels. It was open but no one was there so I searched for clean towels but found none, so I opened a dryer and found a couple of towels. I folded extra so that if there was a need, an employee would have some available. Oh well, I hoped it helped. Love your hotel and its easy access to downtown without being downtown.
We always love staying at Holiday Inns and this was no exception. Very friendly staff, clean comfortable rooms, and the hotel was close enough to the historic Savannah area for us not to have to drive far. The only negative aspect was the very limited breakfast. I understand the need for less touching with Covid, and Im glad they offered something rather than nothing, but it was still disappointing. Other hotels Ive stayed at have prepackaged a hot meal and distributed it to each guest that way, so maybe they could look into doing the same? Just a suggestion. Great stay overall!
We arrived to a room that had soiled linen and several areas of peeled off paint on the wall. I immediately took pictures and showed them to the associated at the front desk. She was very apologetic as well as professional and friendly. I was told that complaint would be passed on to manager to see if we could receive a discount. One morning we went down for breakfast and there was on milk with 45 minutes left for breakfast bar. A convenience store is right beside the hotel. Why couldnt someone purchase a gallon of milk and be reimbursed? I am in management so i know about customer service. When we checked out the associate was unaware of the issue and left the manager telephone number. I have called and left a message and still no return call. The mattress and pillow were comfortable. Other than that I have nothing else to say.
The rooms, cleanliness and location were all fine. It seems they don’t provide adequate staff though for a hospitality operation. We had to come to the desk to get additional items since only one woman was working. Mind you we paid $250/night so this isn’t a bare bones hotel. The lady was also quite rude to a guest checking in that we witnessed .
The hotel provided a clean, safe environment for our overnight stay. We arrived before check-in and the room was ready. The online booking and check-in were smooth. The hotels location was good and we used an Uber ride to travel to and from downtown for less than what it would have cost us to park. I do wish they had better breakfast choices. We really enjoyed our stay.
Great beds and staff was very nice clean hotel and bathroom the pool was open along with the hot tub, even tho we didnt use it but the fact it was open was a great feature after driving for 9 hours or so. The coffee was great also. Plus I believe the carpet was new or the building was newer. Over all great experience. Thanks for your hospitality..
This hotel was excellent and we will definitely stay here on our next visit to Savannah. There were on two very minor glitches in our stay. We did stay out very late that Saturday evening enjoying the downtown Savannah nightlife. We received a wake up phone call to our room at 8:00am when we certainly had not asked for a wake up call.....only a minor annoyance. There was also some carpet nails sticking up where the carpet and vinyl flooring met. I placed a towel over the area during our stay and reported it at the front desk when we left so it could be addressed. The lady thanked me for reporting it and said she would get someone to take care of it promptly. Again, since we werent injured, only a minor annoyance. Other than that, it was a great stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast items were good. There wasnt an ice machine on the first floor which was sort of an inconvenience, but.....again, minor. It was very conveniently located and only a short Uber ride to downtown. This will certainly be our choice hotel when we return to Savannah.
We were visiting for our grandsons wedding. The block of rooms were under the wedding, therefore at a better rate. I am in a wheelchair, therefore, rooms I stay in need to be able to accommodate me in my chair! This room fit all the criteria needed to make my stay enjoyable! I cant say enough good about it! And my dogs were very comfortable in the room! I would have been very anxious about them, if I had not been able to bring them along! Thank you to the staff for being so able to help answer any questions we had, such as where to get fresh linens and garbage bags!
The room was spacious with two queen beds, including the bathroom. Every thing in the room looked clean, but I took a mutlipurpose cleaner to clean areas of the room for self assurance. The only thing that could of been better was the breakfast. They had metal containers for eggs, bacon, and other items but never had these items in them. Instead, there was breakfast sandwiches, single servings of oatmeal and cereal, yogurt, and juices. Overall, the experience was well worth the money for a nights stay.
Feel free to stop looking for another hotel to stay at. The hotel was clean, comfortable & they even provided those yummy Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches. Everything that was offered for breakfast was in its own original packaging which makes it easier to grab and go. The pool & fitness center was open during our stay. The front desk clerk, Sylvia, had a great demeanor & her appearance was very professional. Due to COVID-19, housekeeping wasn’t allowed to enter the rooms (which was something we preferred for our own safety). Overall this hotel & location was totally worth the money we spent! 🙂
We stayed at the Savanna GA Holiday Inn because our car broke down. I was very flustered and worried about cost of repairs and when we would be able to get home to Maryland. When I checked in, no one offered any discount, AAA or otherwise. I belong to AAA, am a veteran and 75 years old. On the 2nd day I asked if there were any discounts available, and was told yes, but the Hotel could not apply them to my bill since my card had already been charged. I thought that I still should be able to get the discount, but was told NO. For the 4 nights we stayed, the discount would have helped lessen the financial drain we were experiencing with car repairs and food. We were very disappointed that a business as big as Holiday Inn, would treat its customers this way.
Nice hotel I stayed 3 days. No complaints I plan on staying again in the future. The front desk clerk who checked me in was AWESOME. I arrived early and she allowed me to use the business center while I wait. We had a lot in common regarding our studies to get our masters. After I was able to check in the room was good definitely not patel owner thank god. Awesome bed alone is the main reason I would come back! Then when I checked out the GM I believe an older guy was so nice I think he really appreciated my business which makes me really want to come back. Very nice staff and the housekeeper was very kind too I wish I would have tipped her but I always have next time. I definitely will be back
The location of the hotel is awesome. Not in the middle of the city but close enough to enjoy the city and other areas. The hotel was very clean, comfortable beds, and very nice personnel at front desk. :)However, the way you are serving breakfast because of COVID its disappointing. The pre-packed meals are awful. Honestly. Other hotels are doing much better serving hot meals and following CDC guidelines at the same time. Maybe at the beginning of the pandemic situation the pre-packet meals were ok, but not anymore. You can do it better.
After a long day of driving with 4 children I was excited to reach my hotel room booked through Priceline. ETA 10:30 pm. Upon arrival they had no room for us. Tired, exhausted, and frustrated, it took Priceline one and half hours to find us a new place which led us here. Karan helped me at the front counter. He was so friendly and nice and offered excellent service. The hotel is so nice and clean. The beds were a pleasant surprise. So comfortable and cozy. Excellent bedding and pillows. For an added touch of convenience they have full size shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower. Very nice quality too.The complementary breakfast was great. Cereal, pancakes, sausages, eggs, grits, muffins, juices and coffee.I’d highly recommend staying here.
We always booked Holiday Inn properties expecting a clean safe and comfortable room. NOT this time we went through 3 rooms snd all were unsatisfactory. The first we got to the door was open and garbage in the pail, the second had all drawers and closet doors open and the floor had not been vacuumed. The third looked good till we opened the fridge and found someone else’s food in there. The only thing the manage offered was to check us out. I stated that if she could find us a room elsewhere that would be great as many people were traveling and a room would be hard to find. She was really not concerned. Don’t think they are up to standard. No employee wore a mask. Never go there again.
My room was relatively quiet do to the fact that occupancy was low, so this was great. The gym was ok. The washer dryer worked fine. The girl at the front desk was not friendly and was half talking to me and a friend on the phone while I was trying to get change from her for the washer. She rudely told me she could only give me two dollars in change which was not enough for the machines. What happened to southern hospitality.
This was our second time at this property. The first time was great, this time was not so good. First, the mirror and shower doors in the bathroom had clearly not been cleaned in a while as evidenced by dried soap and spots. The bed was very uncomfortable and the duvet cover was not properly fitted on the comforter. When there was coffee in the morning (they ran out frequently), it had grounds in it. We’re not sure what happened over a few months but we will not stay at this property again.
I booked with Holiday Inn Express because I have always loved their service and quality, however, this time, I was disappointed. I understand the Covid-19 new policies but that does not mean that the staff focus should change when it comes to attending to their customers. Their rates did not change so why shouldnt I get the same quality and service? I stayed two nights and asked after the first night for my room to be freshened up and they said they would. We were gone most of the day and returned to how we left it. No clean towels, beds not made, no toiletries at all (they were empty when we arrived), trash not emptied AND no coffee pods for the coffee maker ever made it to our room. There was no free breakfast either. They had packaged muffins, yogurt, and sweet rolls. I really wanted a hot breakfast and hot coffee in the morning. If they have to change their quality and service to accommodate COVID-19, then they should reduce their rates to HALF. At checkout, I mentioned all of this and received 1000 points but I should receive a free night or two!
This hotel was not at all what I expected. I have stayed in Other holiday inn hotels before and not once did I receive the horrible service this one have. Where do I began. First we arrived to the hotel, noticed many people sitting in the lobby, I overheard one couple state that they should probably start searching for another hotel, of course I was puzzled. When it was my turn to approach the front desk to check in, the customer service representative informed that it was going to be a few minutes before I could check in because she wasn’t sure which rooms were ready and available. Keep in mind, we arrived to the hotel around 530 in the afternoon, checkout was noon and check in was 3pm. I politely asked, “ when do you think the rooms will be ready? “ The Representative replied, You mean how long will it take me to walk the elevator, get on the elevator then look to see which rooms are clean? I was very shock at her response. She definitely didn’t understand nor care that I had just driven hours and just needed to relax. We sat down in the lobby while she went to gather more information on the rooms. Shortly after, no more than 15 minutes, the representative informed us that the room was ready and we could be checked In now. We gathered our belongings and made our way to the room, got to the room and noticed that the bathroom was dirty. The tub was disgusting and the floors were sticky. I could not believe what I had saw. Not to mention the phone in the room was not functioning. I had to use to my cell phone to call down to the front desk. This was not a pleasant experience and I am very disappointed in Holiday inn Express. I hope that this does not happen again to anyone. Overall I would not recommend anyone stay at this location. It’s not worth it. Quality over Quantity.
The Hotel Exterior was nice. The location was not what I expected, (located in mist of car dealerships and gas station). The hotel room and common areas were very clean. The staff at front desk could have been friendlier. The breakfast was subpar for a Holiday Inn. My main displeasure was with the bed pillows, which were horrible! The pillows went flat as soon as I got comfortable. Overall, I would say the Hotel was not up to par for a Holiday Inn and the price paid!
In Savannah to visit SCAD with our daughter. Great location--close to campus but away from the chaos of downtown. Bonus--free parking! Everyone was so nice. The room was great and a bargain compared to downtown hotels. My only criticism is that they are still on covid-restricted breakfast and grab and go just doesnt do it for me when traveling, though they did have a lot of options. The beds were super comfortable and the bathroom was large. Not sure how new this location is but you can still smell newness inside.
We had a very pleasant stay here. The facility is new with modern decor. The bed and pillows were super comfortable. And to top it off, Felicia at the front desk was a pleasure. Kind and caring, she made us feel welcome which is rare these days. Professionalism is common when lodging but she exhibited a personal touch that we truly appreciated. I recommend staying here!
Good nights sleep. Lousy shower water pressure and wasn’t too happy seeing the front desk clerk serving himself a big plate of breakfast with the paying customers at 6:40 am. He also didn’t send folio by e-mail when I checked out and requested that. Had to follow up with hotel to get folio and stay points.
Although Covid-19 is still a concern, better house keeping can contribute to the safety of guests by ensuring all surfaces are wiped clean prior to occupancy. Numerous horizontal surfaces had dust which appeared that it had not been touched for days, glass shower doors had soap scum or hard water stains, shower pan joints had mold(recommend re-caulking. Bed comforter had a musty smell. Indoor pool didn’t seem to be heated. No pool towels available. Trash from other rooms left in the hallway for several hours and common floor trash cans overflowing.
Overall my stay was very good. The room was provided with adequate supplies. Location of hotel fit with our ability to visit Savanna and easy to get back on main road to Florida. Saw some sites entering to hotel. Plenty of restaurants with some assistance from front desk on places to eat within reasonable convenience. I love to visit Savanna when I drive to Florida, so this trip was nice because easy access and comfortable. No major traffic issues delaying our visit in the area.
Rooms where dirty and beds sheets where not clean. Scott the front desk employee was awesome and very helpful although it wasnt his fault why the rooms where inthat condition. Scott would get at 5 star from me and my family. So for the service side this is who gets the 5 star.looked thw way they dis,
We usually only stay at Holiday Inn when we travel and this time it was not up to par. The bathroom was very dirty. The floor in the bathroom was filthy and black. Very sticky. So was the carpet. Felt like you needed shoes on ayy all times. They offered me points when I told them and showed the pictures. Points dont mean nothing to me, so I felt like they did not stand up to their promise of cleanliness.Other then that is was ok. Covid has made the breakfast less desirable, but that is not their fault. They are doing their best in that situation.
Nice and clean modern rooms. Very helpful staff, aside from one front desk worker. But the hotel cheaps out on the pickup breakfast (during covid). Items are not stocked frequently enough, they are often out of basics like yogurt or biscuits. Half the morning the coffee was out and one staffer wouldnt provide it past 9am. Also no housekeeping and you have to ask for towels -- seems like there should be more cleaning now.
We have stayed in Holiday Inn Express hotels all around the country over the last 10 years. It is our go to hotel. We do this because of consistency, in price, quality of the hotel and service. Even so, not all are created equal. I have to say that the Savannah HIX is one of the best we have stayed at. The manager when we arrived was very helpful and super friendly. She allowed us to eat our take out dinner in an area outside and turned the lights on for us. She demonstrated true southern friendliness. Even the maintenance staff greeted us as we exited the elevator. The hotel is super clean and fresh. The room was perfect as was the bathroom. It was a nice one-night say and we would definitely stay there again.
Nice hotel, friendly staff. It opened in November 2019 so is pretty pristine. Pretty standard design - what you would expect if you stayed at HIE before. Location is nothing special with views of a gas station, but is pretty convenient being next to I-16, one exit outside the city limits and about a 5 minute hop into downtown Savannah. Despite its proximity to the interstate, the area is pretty quiet and I heard little traffic noise. Savannah hotels/motels are getting expensive, even in the less appealing mid-town area, so this is a good option if you want to have easy access to Savannah but want a clean, less expensive alternative. Also, really nice gym! Breakfast was standard fare for Holiday Inn Express. The room was comfy and very spacious. Only minor complaint was that the room was missing a channel guide card, the channel guide on the TV was not programmed in, and I could have used a small garbage can in the main room as opposed to just in the bathroom. Also, at one point my key card stopped working and had to get it reprogrammed at the front desk. However, I imagine these issues / glitches are growing pains associated with being a new hotel and will be addressed. They were very minor inconveniences that would not dissuade me from coming back.
I was disappointed in the cleanliness of the room. The bathroom floor needed to be cleaned. There was no soap bar, no bags in the garbage cans, no cups for the ice bucket. We stay at these hotels because of the cleanliness. this one is new and we expected more it is our 4th stay. Guests in the room above were extremely noisy, like cloggers.
When I arrived at the hotel I expected to see Kim at the front desk but she was not there. The person at the front desk was helpful but not very friendly in my opinion. Check in was easy and hassle free. I headed up to my room and it was SPARKLING clean. Im not sure who cleaned the room but there was a Caucasian male near by with a housekeeping cart so I assume he cleaned the room. Upon entering the room he asked if there was anything he could do to help me. He was very friendly and helpful! The only thing I disliked about staying here this time is the fact that some sort of alarm awakened me from my sleep that night and the next morning. I give you 8/10 stars this time
Probably the worst holiday inn express I’ve ever stayed at. Usually never have a issue with these hotels. Rooms over priced. Shower had stains all in the floor. They put me in a handicap room and not a garbage could be found in there with a liner in it. The shower would drip water at best. It absolutely had no pressure. TV was constantly loosing service.
Rooms were great. There was a bathing suit left behind and there were crumbs in the sofa bed. Other than that, everything appeared clean. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast was not the greatest. I did not eat the breakfast. Im sure this was due to Covid-19 as they could only offer packaged breakfast. My usual experience with holiday inn express is good breakfast. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay and plan to book again. Holiday Inn Express is usually my first choice when travelling with family.
We had a very necessary business trip to Savannah and were reluctant to stay in a motel due to COVID. We selected this particular location right off Chatham Parkway in Savannah because we read that it was a new motel. We thought it would be safer than the locations that are usually filled with tourists. The attention to cleanliness was unprecedented and the staff were so helpful. They gave me a mask at the front desk because I had left mine in the car. The room was very clean and the bathroom very clean. We felt totally safe with the social distancing guidelines being followed to the tee. Great place to stay!!
I visited the Holiday Inn Express on Thursday, February 13, 2020. I was very disappointed when I observed the condition of the room. For this to be a new hotel the cleanliness of the room was unacceptable. I had just left the Holiday Inn in the historic section of Savannah and it was very clean every day I entered the room. So imagine going to a place that gives you less than what you have received yet theyre both labeled Holiday Inn, except the fact that one is older and one is newer. When I entered the room someone had removed one of the trays from the refrigerator. If anyone had thoroughly cleaned the room they should have recognized that the tray was on top of the microwave. When I looked in the refrigerator their were two beers left in the refrigerator and a cup that was filled with beer. I had to throw the beer in the hallway in the trash can. I looked at the bed and the comforter was so different from how they make the beds up in the Historic District. The custodial did not even tuck the comforter underneath the mattress. When I went in to take a shower their was hair all over the shower. I had to remove is myself. The toilet also had stains in it. I am not making anything up. This truly happened. I had a lot of stuff so I decided to go get some bleach and sanitize the room myself. After all, if that room looked that way I dont see how the others could have been anyway different. if youre clean youre clean. I was placed on the 3rd Floor of the hotel and trash stayed outside my door for a long time. Whoever was cleaning was taking their time and they were not providing superior results. The hotel is a nice hotel; however, its not going to remain in that shape if the cleaning crew doesnt work hard to make the rooms look nice. Every time I come to Savannah I go to the Holiday Inn in the historic district. Those people provide the best quality services ever. It is always clean and it is a very friendly atmosphere there. I would take notes from them if I wanted to maintain a superior rating. Also I overheard the person at the desk talking so loud about another customer who wanted pillows. She was soooo loud. When people come to hotels it is a way from home and they want to feel comfortable. One way you can do this is to always be professional and provide great customer service by making sure your workers do their jobs in all areas of that hotel. It is a beautiful hotel. Work hard to maintain it.
There was a dirty towel in our room upon arrival, the shower had stains, the shower glass had not been wiped good , there were hairs in the shower. The comforters needs to be changed between guest and aren’t there were only sheets, towels and wash cloths on housekeeping carts which is unacceptable at any time and especially with COVID.
Clean, great location (10 minutes from historic Savannah), quiet, comfortable beds, friendly staff, good shower pressure... We stayed twice on our Christmas travels. Good rate, too! (They didnt have any milk when we went down for breakfast, but this pick-up breakfast is so different. We found something to eat. We didnt hold it against them.)
With the global pandemic around us. One would think that cleanliness and order would be a great priority for hotels and other service industries. Somehow I got a chance to see how some people are truly not interested in doing their jobs. Especially when the public’s safety is at risk. My wife and I had drove all the day just to find out that this hotel is not especially concerned about keeping the public safe by not changing the linen in the room that we checked in to. To find the the bed made with the bedsheets in that condition was downright nasty. We both felt very disappointed that the quality of service was not up to par.
Great room. Great service. Extremely clean. Not a single thing to complain about. Got something now. Good luck getting your $25 dollar deposit for incidentals. Which this is the first time I was ever charged this fee. Savannah and Charleston River view. I will accept this 50 dollar payment as a lesson to not visit Holiday Inn. Nice Racket if you do this to every customer.
Staff was great and friendly. I say it is a fine place to stay. However this is a challenge to do better with room cleanliness. The room wasnt dirty just was lazily cleaned. Water stains on the bathroom mirror, soap scum on the shower handle that should have been wiped off and they forgot to tuck in one side of the sheet and comforter.Again this is a nice place to stay but attention to detail needs to be improved upon.
I came to Savannah to take the /real Estate State Exam, The location was just perfect with no trouble getting lost or traffic issues. Beautiful area as well, Safe and clean. The Front staff Felecia was great. She was genuine and gave me encouragement before my test. I had to swing back by to tell her that I passed. The only issue I had was that the mattress in Room 217 was not very comfortable. Also the conditioner in the bathroom was completely out. I really do like the full size bottles in the shower much better than the tiny ones usually given and I can see how they may occasionally end up empty because you cant tell just by looking at them. It really was no issue for me since I have short non treated hair.
Nice room. Good pool. Far from any restaurants and tourist activities. Cleanliness poor. Used condom on top of frig. Frig dirty. Hairs in sheets and towels. Hairballs left by pool during mopping. Hall and elevator carpets dirty. Pushy maid telling you how to spend your time and moving the wastebaskets around for no reason.
Great hotel great service checked in early they had a computer outage but they kept us as gyest comfortable until we were able to chevk in. They made our stay very good and was apologetic for the wait. The young lady that was at the front desk that was pregnant was awesome she kept things and peoples attitudes in line by being so nice and getting the job done. She really had the perfect guest srevices skills. We need more like her
Stayed Monday thru Friday and had a very comfortable and pleasant stay. Decent breakfast, rooms are very nice and comfortable. Left something in my room and called to ask front desk person for help. She immediately had the missing item located. I followed the procedure to have the item shipped to me—very easy and reliable!Couldn’t ask for a better staff from check-in to check-out. Everyone was fantastic! If the pool was heated and complimentary newspaper provided, this would score a perfect 5-star!
Great location! Just minutes from everywhere we wanted to visit in and around Savannah without all of the traffic congestion. Beautiful hotel and clean! Staff was very attentive and professional. Due to COVID, our breakfast was a grab and go but there was a great variety to choose from. I would highly recommend for your next visit to the Savannah area. We will definitely stay again.
This is my third review of this property, as I stay here often. Savannah hotels are problematic, so if youre seriously using reviews to decide where to stay, best read this.I also noticed my two previous reviews are missing. Interesting. This property is your best bet for cleanliness, customer service, and proximity to downtown Savannah. Savannah hotels are overall horrible compared to the rest of the country. Customer service is poor, and the rooms are generally filthy. I stayed at 2 IHG properties downtown recently that produced horror stories to be told for ages.THIS property is nearly brand new, and located very close to downtown. I cannot stress enough that if you are looking for the best mix of close to downtown, customer service and clean, this is the only property to meet these qualifiers in Savannah, period. This especially includes the nightmares downtown. That being said, this being the best mix of clean and customer service is specifically for SAVANNAH hotels. This property is average at best compared to nationwide hotels, so best expect this. To wit: All ground floor rooms are currently uninhabitable due to a mold issue, so say the employees of the hotel. Getting a totally clean room here has been a dice roll lately. Generally, the rooms are clean, but as you can see from other reviews, room cleaning is rushed by staff. The AC units in this property are already experiencing mold issues on all floors, indicating they are not being cleaned. Go to other properties in Savannah and expect nightmarishly dirty rooms. The hotel on site pantry is stocked at about 40% capacity, so selections are poor. The mini mart across the street closes at 10PM, so dont forget theyre NOT 24/7 or youre stuck with the pantry.Customer service this last trip has marginally improved. Expect the basics, and realize customer service from staff at other Savannah properties is absolutely HORRIBLE. (Hotel mgmt, if you want to know how to excel here, call me. Its easy, and Ill tell you what your partner IHG properties do. If you comment on this review and dont call me, Ill call you and call you out on it. ,) )The neighborhood is quiet at night. Some mention there are car dealerships around. True, but picture in your head not a busy industrial concrete jungle massive dealerships, but quiet country small car dealerships surrounded by forests, trees and grass. The area is very nice.
This was the perfect place to stay for our two day trip to Savannah. We were able to park for free, have plenty of space in the room, enjoy breakfast and fitness center and slept well. It was super clean and quiet. Staff were very attentive and hospitable. Thank you for making our 1st trip to Georgia so enjoyable!
It was ok. The room was not well cleaned upon arrival. There was a dirty towel in the bathroom along with a dirty shower curtain, and a nice amount of visible hair on the bathroom floor. The shower was visibly soiled also. The carpet hadnt been vacuumed either. When these things were reported, the staff had an obvious attitude and still didnt mop the bathroom floor. I always travel with my cleaning supplies. If COVID was living in this room..... well. The staff at the desk however were exceptional, especially Mark.
Not that great at the moment. The hotel is new and that’s pretty much all they have going for them. They are otherwise using the pandemic as an excuse to save money. Breakfast was pretty much non-existent. I travel a lot for work and a lot of hotels are having their normal breakfast offerings, they’ll just make sure you wear gloves and a mask. Not here. No hot items, no bread, no fruit. They’re just being cheap while advertising that they offer breakfast. They’re also using the pandemic as an excuse to not provide housekeeping. They will not clean your room during your stay. If anything, it should be the opposite and they should have additional cleaning staff.
They had room issues in bathroom and pillows had stains. The lobby was hot like they had first floor ac issues. At night you may here kids running...lol But after that we slept fine. Its 15 min away from downtown...I would stay there longer than a day or two max...enjoy
I cant complain about a single thing..1. The hotel is clean inside and outside2.The staff is super friendly-- I had an issue checking in(not Holiday Inns fault) and Kimberly handled the situation for me.3.The beds are very comfortable4.They were transparent about breakfast being limited and housekeeping services only being provided after so many days of staying.5.The location is only about 10 minutes from downtown Savannah but there are also several restaurants close by.Every time I visit Savannah this will be my go to hotel. Thank you Holiday Inn staff for your hospitality
I tend to use Holiday Inn as my go-to for my business trips. For the most part Ive never had an issue. I used this particular location for leisure with my family over the weekend and I have to say, not the best experience.I can understand mistakes happen, but what do we do to ensure it never happens again? I think that needs to be addressed. We were initially assigned room 214. But due to it being in physical disrepair, we were then assigned room 416. The initial room had significant issues and should not have been made available to be used by customers. This is where the mistake lies. Our second room was in better condition but still had some cleanliness issues. My family ended up finishing the job of the cleaning personnel. This is not a particularly good feeling especially during these significant times.I did take photos, and my wife took video of the issues. I however dont feel comfortable posting those for the public here as I dont believe it is representative of the company as a whole. My wife is furious that we didnt get a discount or a free stay. She was NOT happy. Personally my only concern is what steps can the company take to ensure this never happen again?Ive got several more trips lined up with you guys in Birmingham later this week, and another in Spartanburg. Again, I dont believe this one issue is representative of the company as a whole. However I do consider that maybe I dont frequent other Holiday Inns that I have not tried before.I must add that the front desk personnel were awesome. Really friendly and professional. No issues there. Thanks for the opportunity, but I think the next time we are in Savannah we try another hotel location or chain.
Only booked hotel for walk-in tub, 3 1/2 weeks prior to stay and was not given that room, but another handicap room w/out walk-in tub and no walk-in shower either, as well charged extra for this room which had a body/sex fluid stained couch that could not be used at all. Hotel ran out of soap and no replacement light bulbs for entire 6 day stay. Bathroom door handle not mounted properly on sliding door and smashes ones fingers when closing. Waited 4 days for room cleaning. Has no safes in entire hotel. Poor quality breakfast foods!
We drove down to visit family and chose this hotel based on location and price. The sheets in the pull out sofa had not been changed from the previous guest so we had to request clean sheets and change them ourselves. Other than that hiccup we had a very pleasant stay. The staff was extremely friendly, accommodations were very nice, breakfast was pretty good considering the circumstances, and the location was perfect for our needs.
The hotel and staff are nice. The location was perfect for what we needed. The the shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel are in dispensing units. The shower gel bottle was completely empty and there was still painters tape in our shower. I was going to complain but my wife did not want to have to deal with someone coming into our room. This is something that should be checked before guests are assigned/checked in to the rooms. I used my points to stay and I suppose because one is not paying, at the time of stay, they put you in their worst rooms. I feel this is weird because the points are a REWARD. One should be treated like it is a REWARD and not a punishment.
We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Chatham Parkway on Thursday night March12th. We paid $145 to get the pull out couch for our 2 kids. Upon checking in and getting to our room, we realized there were no bed sheets/blankets/pillows for the pull out couch. I went to the front desk and she told me that there were no pillows in the entire hotel that they could give us. Our 9 and 13 year old had to sleep with no pillows that night. Next my son decides to take a shower before bed. The glass shower door would not stay closed therefore water went everywhere. The bathroom floor was so uneven that we had to be very forceful to even close the bathroom door. Lastly, we got a wake up call at 5:27 am that was not requested. This woke up our 5 month old which doesn’t sleep well anyway. When I proceeded to tell the front desk the next morning, all she could tell me what that she could give me some reward points. TERRIBLE customer service. Hilton would never and has never treated me that way.
The value could have been much better. There went bags in trash cans in the rooms. Our room smelled like fish and no one wants their room to smell like that. The girl at the desk said they were fully booked so saying anything to her wasn’t going to get me anywhere. The room wasn’t sound proof at all, so every time someone closed a door, it was a loud slam.
I love holiday inn usually. This time, no. We got there and there was no toilet paper in the bathroom, no shampoo, and no cups. They seemed to not be able to find things when we asked. The room phone did not work. The bed sheets were wrinkled. The curtails did not close all the way. There were no luggage carts available at check in or check out. In the morning they only had a bag of breakfast available with a muffin and water or a granola bar and water. Really disappointed compared to my other stays.
This review will pretty much match previous reviews. This property is new, one of the cleanest you will find in Savannah, and close to downtown. The downtown hotels including the IHG properties are absolute nightmares, youve been warned. I dont want to list what I found in the rooms of OTHER Savannah hotels so someone doesnt glance at the text here and think its this property. If you want a clean hotel, in a good area, close to downtown, this HIX is one of very, very few choices in Savannah. I cannot make this any more clear to you.Ask for more towels at check in if you need to, youre only getting two in the room.Ill give five star for staff this time because staff is getting much friendlier, but please work on ground floor room request availability, attention to how many towels are given to extended stay guests, and letting anti-maskers gather in the hotel lobby without hitting them with a cattle prod or other suitable device.
An outstanding experience from the moment I stepped foot into the hotel. The associate who was at the front desk was professional very friendly and efficient. I asked if she knew the place i had to a photoshoot at that night and she knew where it was and gave me hints on parking. Very clean room, bathroom the cleanest and best Ive seen at a HIE. when checking out the two women at the desk were fast and friendly, We had a great discussion about Chocolate, previous careers and they truly had Control over what goes on in the hotel. A great experience I bow down in awe of their service.
Everything, at this location, was perfectly executed by the staff. Upon arrival, my check-in was seamless. My room was super clean, comfortable and spacious. I noticed hand sanitation throughout the common areas that I thought was a plus! And the staff were all very helpful with providing logistics guidance.
Front desk woman not friendly at check in. Next morning, mentioned to her that there was no hot water (tea/oatmeal) and one of the coffee urns was empty - seemed a little put out over that. Breakfast (grab and go) not restocked and very few items left at 8:45AM. Not sure why this HIE isnt providing eggs, bacon and cinnamon rolls. If we can touch elevator buttons and door handles, we can surely touch serving spoons and tongs.
My daughter studies at SCAD and I always stay here when visiting since its very close to the historic district and it has free parking something all the other hotels in the historic district do not have. Rooms are always clean, and the beds are very comfortable. Before Covid we also always enjoyed the complimentary breakfast.
This is a new Holiday Inn close to historic downtown Savannah and a perfect choice for us. The staff is so friendly they made our 4 day stay perfect! Breakfast every day was full of choices ready promptly. Coffee & tea available 24/7. There is an indoor pool, meeting room and great workout area. Our room was clean and well appointed with both refrigerator and microwave. Well definaty choose this hotel on our next visit.
ASTOUNDING!!!!Customer service at this hotel is just that. My elderly Mother was traveling thru Savannah to Florida , I am her daughter and called the hotel to check on pricing for her, as my Mother does not have cell service that has Google ...Felicia, at the front desk, as well as Dolly, not sure about the spelling, ALSO, her fiance! They ALL took extremely fantastic care of my Mother, helping her with an array of things, from making sure she was comfortable, making sure she ate something and LITERALLY going and picking up food!! They also helped her with the ATM across the street!! ALL OF THEM WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND!! What a staff they have, the most kind, honest, friendly people ever!! Cannot say enough about them!!ALSO, THE HOTEL IS CLEAN, SAFE and COMFY my Mother said. Thank you again, will definitely recommend and if traveling by there again...will DEFINITELY stay here. Penny
Hotel is new, therefore nice and clean. Parking is free onsite. Staff was accommodating. Breakfast is limited die to Covid of course. Hotel is within four miles of downtown Savannah so location is close to tourism but there are not any other restaurants or retail shops nearby.
I loved the building and the design. The amenities were great and the staff nice. But was not sure if I was pulling into a car dealership or Hotel at first. I would like to acknowledge Ms.Kimberly at the front desk. She was AMAZING!!!!! Made us fell welcomed and right at home. Our fist night there we ate at a restaurant and it was horrible. I mean expensive and HORRIBLE. So the next morning Ms.Kimberly came out of her way to greet all the guess and us during breakfast. She asked how our night was and we explained and she was so apologetic, but Kimberly made sure we knew where to go that day. Not only for dinner but lunch as well. Let me tell you we ate good that day. She followed up each day as well. Being in a city and not knowing anyone is hard even on vacation, but I feel we have a friend there now - Ms. Kimberly and will stay at the hotel again mostly just to visit with her. Overall great hotel, location is good. Minutes to downtown, 10 minutes to Pooler and 30 min to Tybee Island.
Our room was disgusting. The receptionist seemed to have an attitude upon check-in and rushed through our questions. Our room was horrible. There were dried up stains still on the toilet, body hair on the bathroom floor and in the tub, and food left in our room from the previous resident. We notified front office to have our room switched, but she told us there are not any other rooms ready and hung up. I went down to talk to her in person and told her I want to speak to her manager and to have a discounted rate since we’re going to have to clean our own room. Only then did she decided to send someone to our room to address our issues...The facilities seemed clean and new, but it also seems to be managed terribly. I wouldn’t recommend staying.
Under unprecedented circumstances, they were able to maintain their high quality amenities for their customers. Staff was great, hotel was clean and rooms were excellent. The continental breakfast was quite limited and maybe could take suggestions to incorporate normal options while exercising social distancing.
I stayed in this hotel before, I like the location of this hotel, easy 5 min. ride to downtown historic district, and the free parking. The hotel and the room are very clean, staff is very friendly, and beds very comfortable. This time there was no breakfast due to Covid-19, there were a few items to grab and go. I was disappointed that most staff did not wear a mask, in my opinion it should be a must, and I wish they would disinfect the lobby and elevators more. These are challenging times and we need to take this serious and cant take any changes.
This Hotel was on point. The room was very clean and well lit. The Shower was fantastic. We were in a King bedroom, the shower was spacious. I am a big guy so it was perfect. The staff was helpful in finding somewhere to eat. Overall a very nice place to stay! - We will be back!
Sent to a dirty room first. There were 5 of us, 3 adults and 2 kids. Only had 3 sets of towels.Check out day I had 2 different charges. One was $25 dollars over stated price and one for over $200. After proving myself with emails, etc., I am supposed to receive over charges back to account in 3 to 5 days. Not how I wanted to start our vacation!
The lady at the front desk was not very nice, actually kind of rude. It should not take five minutes to print out a invoice, most Holiday Inns slip it under the door. She was more worried about educating me on not touching my keys versus actually doing her job. I asked for the invoice two times, and ate breakfast in between. Frustrated I left without actually getting my invoice. Its sad because its actually a nice property and close to my client, but I dont think Ill ever be staying there again. You touch my keys when you hand them to me but you wont touch them and give them back??? By the way I dont have cooties or CoVid, hope she didnt. Service, a lost art.
Took 5 mins to find someone to help us because noone was at the front desk. When we did find the lady, she seemed annoyed that we bothered her, had an attitude the whole time we were checking in. The bathroom was dirty, lots of hair all over the place. Went down for breakfast and they didnt have any milk for cereal, lots of people had complained about that. Iv stayed at holiday inns multiple times and this one was by far not the best but not the worst. Will not stay at this one again thats for sure.
When I made the reservations I indicated that there were 3 guests. When we arrived we noticed that the extra bed was a pull out couch. That was acceptable but there were NO sheets or blankets and only towels for 2 people. When we left for the afternoon and asked to have the additional bed made up and additional towels we were informed that they would provide the additional sheets and towels but we would have to make the bed ourselves. I expected better from IHG.
I have stayed at lots of hotels, but when you first walk in you are welcomed with a smile and fabulous ladies at the front desk. Then the room was clean and so comfortable that my 12 nights there went so fast. There were just amazing staff at this location. Can’t wait to go back.
This location was absolutely filthy. The entryway and bathroom floors were dirty and dusty, with hair and dirt everywhere. One of the pillowcases had what looked like a fresh food spill on it, and there was a sandwich in the microwave. I tried to call the front desk but the phone wasnt working, so I went down to request a new room. The attendant was rude and off-putting, not giving an apology. When I got to the new room I noticed the floors were also dirty, but everything else was okay. I ended up putting all available towels on the bathroom floor so I didnt have to walk in gritty dirt.
-5/5 0/10 train your staff, took over an hour to check in. Stay in 2-4 hotels a week for work and have never had problems like this in years of doing it. It’s not my 3rd party reservation it is your staff. Also people if your looking to travel almost no hotels take cash or debit cards now a days. Book online in advance and have a credit card ready when you check in. Jesus
The hotel was clean and new. However, when I arrived in my room, the cleaning staff must have forgot the mop, because It was leaning against the wall. I didn’t like that there wasn’t a bathtub, only a shower. The breakfast consisted of honey buns and muffins. All in all, the room was clean, bed comfortable, but the breakfast was insufficient.
I booked a block of rooms (15) for my daughters wedding for family and friends, 1 daughter arrived to find her dates were wrong with what she booked and the front desk person was Rude which made her lose her temper, the AGM was brought in to resolve, their answer was to charge a high price plus taxes and fees for a Saturday night stay, I paid it, I was assured all other reservations were correct including mine and come to find out on Sat. morning I had no reservation and was told to pay a extremely high price which i declined and checked out early and left my daughters behind. I tried to resolve the issues with no success with AGM Brandi I will not stay at Holliday inns ever again. Extremely Disappointed My Wife and I will never Stay at Holliday Inn ever again this was the worst experience Ever
We spent two nights at this location to celebrate New Year. The facilities are new. But the service was not compatible with the facilities. The front desk is not friendly and professional to handle customers requests. We had to wait for 30minutes to get our room. The breakfast was not well prepared. If you arrive after 8:15am, the trays could be empty. You have to wait for staffs to cook or didn’t get the breakfast at all. The second day they couldn’t find people to cook. A hotel technician was asked to cook the breakfast. He actually did much better job than first day’s cooking staff. The hotel needs to improve its management. Otherwise, no one wants to come back or stay at this location.
This hotel exceeded my expectations. The property was very nice, airy and bright. The check in process was seamless. They honored early check in as well as late check out requests. The staff was very friendly. The room was clean and the bed was very soft and comfortable. I’d definitely recommend this property.
Stayed 2 nights, wouldve only stayed one night if I had the choice. Reservation for was my husband and I and our 3 childrrn, there were only 3 towels and no linens for the pull out bed. Night staff was less than friendly during check-in and acted as if I inconvenienced her asking for towels/ linens. Room smelled musty with a weird stain on the wall, maybe mold? The hallway smelled even worse but I cant even describe the smell. Found spiders in the room. Fire alarms kept going off until 1am and then again at 7:30am. I overheard one of the guest say hes been here 2..5 weeks and its been doing it the entire time. Found a bag of bobby pins under the comforter, dont know if the sheets were even clean.
My family and I decided to visit Savannah for Labor Day weekend and we couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay. Firstly I would like to mention how friendly and personable the staff were. Check-in was very fast and everyone was very accommodating. We loved the fact that there was an indoor pool and all of the modern touches were aesthetically appealing. If we ever visit this side of town again we would definitely stay again.
Clean and Beautiful: This appears to be a new property so it is clean and the rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated. I absolutely loved the roomShower not suitable for kids: I did not like the bathroom shower for my 2 and 6 year old kids since it had the slide door and only a standing shower. This meant I I had to stand in the shower to give them a bath and because there was only a standing showerhead they got wet from head to toe. It is a lovely shower if you dont have small kids.Staff: the two staff we met at the reception area were not very receptive and polite. I did not care much for their hospitality or a lack there of. The first one we met in the night when we checked in had us standing and waiting for approximately 20 minutes before she acknowledged usBreakfast: unable to comment. They were not serving hot breakfast due to Covid19.Overall: really nice and clean hotel. Amazing room. Highly recommended.
Ive stayed at this hotel on three different occasions and each time the staff has been very helpful. The hotel is very clean and the bed is very comfortable. They have safty measures in place concerning covid-19 and I felt very safe staying here. I cant say enough about this hotel
The hotel its self is very nice. I think the hotel is new. But they need train their workers better. It appears that they most likely just throw employees in positions and make them figure out how to do the job. When we arrived we had a late check-in, which is what we request. The check-in process was very easy, but when you get can not get into your room because the key does not work and you have to go back down stairs is a big headache. There was no shower gel in the bathroom, it was completely empty. And breakfast is an joke, everything is fresh and hot but they do not have enought food to accommodate their guest. You have to wait 30-40 minutes for food items. I really wish we would have choose to go to another hotel. The location is make 10 minutes from downtown but we will not be returning.
I picked Holiday Inn because of their cleanliness promise. This was a great newly renovated spot just a quick 5 minute drive from town. The price was great and we were still close enough to downtown to do a pick up order. Since they are only doing grab and go for breakfast right now, I wish they left it out longer. Overall, I felt safe and clean!
I selected this hotel because it was a new hotel and it was within 8 miles of Savannah Old Town. It was convenient and less expensive to stay a few miles away rather than be down by river st. This hotel has all of the necessary protocols in place for the Covid. It felt very safe. Since that was the case they could not offer the normal breakfast items but rather what was offered were individual wrapped foods. Nice Hotel. If we are ever back in Savannah I would definitely stay again.
I had not been in Savannah in years and I am so glad I chose this hotel. Outside I heard traffic noise when I was leaving, but I heard nothing in my room. The staff is professional and friendly and genuinely seem to care that we have a good experience. From the front desk at arrival to the front desk at checkout I was made to feel welcomed and made to know I would return..
Great staff! I broke my leg while on vacation in Savannah, and the staff was so helpful and accommodating. The were always kind to ask how I was doing and helpful in figuring out what we needed to do, since we had to end our vacation early. Our room was also very clean and comfortable.
The property was clean, updated and located in an excellent area. There were no extras like maps or magazines/pamphlets of the area. The only issue I experienced with the room: it was not cleaned, nor clean towels provided by housekeeping. I had to retrieve towels from the front desk. The other issue was with the person working in the breakfast area. He was not friendly or cordial. maybe needs training in customer service. His responses to questions were curt, short with a nonchalant attitude. My personal advice, if you dont enjoy your job...find somewhere else to work.
Arrived at 1 AM and the receptionist was missing for 29 minutes. We knocked the office door twice and none responded. Third time we called a young guy ready for a party came out completely disoriented and yelling us. When we noted that we had two kids in the car for literally half an hour he said that he was not responsible for having a back office away from the front desk.. We alsocalled the phone on the website and the person at the other end told us she had no way to communicate with the hotel.
To start, they did not offer me an upgraded room, as a platinum member, I was told no upgrades were available, only 2 floors of the hotel were being used. My first room had a dirty shower, unacceptable. I was given another room a few doors down, it was ok, at least the shower was clean. Overall the staff was ok, breakfast was almost nonexistent, and of course everything is blamed on Covid 19, an easy excuse to make doingg nothing for the guests acceptable. But not to me.
This property was 1 month old when we stayed. Its only 10 minutes from anywhere in Savannah without the noise and traffic. Also its 30 to 50 percent less than any property in the Historic district, including Holiday Inn. So if price isnt an issue and you prefer to be within walking distance from locations, like River St , this property isnt for you. Our room, 2 queens with a sofa, was large enough for the family to meet up and plan our day. This was a fun trip with the family to enjoy Savannah, do some after Christmas shopping at the malls and do a couple ghost tours. We all agree this would be a trip worth doing again.
This hotel was new, hadnt been open long. Its in a good location, away from the crowd and traffic. However, everything is about 7 minutes away. The only problems I had was at the time reservation I requested that My two rooms be close together or a connected room. I came with my 3 adult children. They had one room on 2nd floor and the other on 4th floor. I was told nothing could be done. The air conditioner in the room 4th floor wasnt working right. My daughter Erica Holcomb reported it to staff. I receive a wake up call (twice) first time a recorder, 2nd time staff. I didnt request a wake up call. I was unable to go to sleep after that. Spoke with another guess, said he receive one also.
Drove up to Savannah to enjoy my sons birthday with family. We had a great time, the room was nice, the lobby was modern and clean and the staff was very nice. We had a small hick up, but the staff corrected it immediately. It would have been nice if they did something nice for his birthday (sticker, candy bar) but we had a nice time.
This property has been open for exactly one week and is operating fairly smoothly. easy access to the tourist district and the interstates, check-in was straightforward and especially pain free as there were fewer than a dozen guests on site. still a couple of things need fixing and finishing but thats mostly outside stuff like plantings and decorative stone work, the hotel is clean and seems soundly constructed :-)standard IHG breakfast fare and plenty of it, not many little people (or any people) around raising a ruckus so we could dine in peace. a patio area out back will be nice for breakfast when some shrubberies go in and the umbrellas come out, meanwhile it feels a little too exposed.pool and fitness center are in good order, wait a couple weeks and check back to see if this changes after someone else has a go.kinda nice to have the run of the place and not have to worry much about what sort of shenanigans might be going on outside at night. pretty sure no one had slept in our bed before and the sheets were so new they were a tiny bit scratchy. when thats my biggest concern I suppose were all doing ok
Initially, my fiancee and I checked in and we were given a key to a room that had not yet been cleaned. Later on that night, my fiancee was disrespected and terribly mistreated by the hotel manager when he requested a replacement room key as his key was not working. The manager accused him of suspicious behavior and threatened to call the police when he was simply asking for a new room key.
I had an unexpected stay recently and had no overnight bag. I called the front desk after booking my room about bath necessities. The manager assured me they had all I needed and even left it all in a bag for me at check in. This has been my go to property for business or a weekend getaway. The hospitality on this last trip reassured me why I choose it.
When we arrived at 3 our room was ready which is more than what I can say for guest that arrived at 7pm and was told they were short staff and people were cleaning rooms still. Some people did not get into their rooms until 9 and they didn’t even get the room they requested and family members had to sleep on a roll out bed because double bed rooms still weren’t clean . The pool is freezing cold. When we went to breakfast at 8am the next morning there was only egg omelets it took then 45 min to put out sausage , cinnamon rolls , bacon and biscuits (which are all cooked in a microwave oven so it should have taken that long because everything is pre cooked ) . When we arrived back to hotel at 2 we called down to desk to see why our room wasn’t cleaned they said it would be cleaned in the hour. We returned back to the room at 9pm and the rooms still wasn’t cleaned . Breakfast today was the same as yesterday ..... nothing was out again and the “cook” was to busy with her styrofoam cup from the confirmed store behind the desk . When someone asked her if they were having more food come out she rolled her eyes walked into the busy breakfast area and said it’s gonna be a moment for y’all food and walked back to behind the front desk were multiple other people were standing. Over all the hotel it’s self is new but cleanliness and customer service is not their strong suit. The manager said he would take 100 off the stay . When we checked our bank account it was still the full amount , we called up to hotel was placed on hold for fifteen minutes and the front desk clerk kept giving excuses and we were placed on hold again . We hung up and called back and finally received the manager who said there is nothing he could do it’s up to the bank to show the difference . The staff was rude or Hesitant to make a decision . I have stayed with ihg 9 times this year alone and this was the worse stay I’ve ever had .

I definitely recommend this hotel. The location was convenient to Historic Savannah, the entire hotel was very clean and the beds were comfortable. I did not expect breakfast due to Covid 19, but was offered a grab and go which was satisfactory and was all that was needed. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. I would stay here again.
Good place to stay, However the staff didnt seem to enthused to be there. Tried to call front desk about 6 times from room phone and cellphone ,no answer. Breakfast coffee was empty by say 0700. Guests could not find the breakfast person. Front desk had to make coffee. I ate breakfast there 3 days, No bacon on breakfast bar, Sausage everyday. All other IHGs have bacon every other day. Fruit was not stocked. I stay at a IHG 180 days a year. This one needs some attention, Yes, they just opened, but needs some more training and attention.

2022-05-02Ive stayed in quite a few IHG hotels for work, and Id say this is one of the nicer ones.the staff at check in/out was very friendly and professional, the women working at the breakfast bar stayed on top of everything, it was clean and everything was full and hot, the pancake maker ran out of batter and she was right on it with getting it refilled.the room was nice and had many convenient features, the pillows were great as always and the bed felt very nice.the bathroom has plenty of counter space for a couple, and plenty of room for all your personals; overall I have no real complaints with the place or the stay.

2022-06-27We had a great experience here. The building is in very new condition and was very clean.Employees at the front desk were friendly and helpful. Indoor pool was well taken care of and was fun! This hotel was very high quality for the price.Location is decent. The gas station across the street is a bit sketchy though. Only about 10 minutes to downtown.Overall, great experience. Would definitely stay here again.

2022-03-28There was one washer and dryer and the floor of the room was dirty like it had not been cleaned in awhile. There were cigarette butts on the floor. The bathroom floor of our room also did not look clean when we checked in. For two out of three days we were at the hotel, no oatmeal was put out since the kitchen had no oatmeal to cook. I recommend this hotel with some reservations. It is close to the highway, the cost is reasonable, and it is not too far from Savannah sightseeing areas. The dining area is well maintained. I liked the individually wrapped apples. On another note, housekeeping comes to your room every five days unless you request housekeeping more often.

2022-05-09Your staff is friendly and accommodating. They are helpful and pleasant. The rooms are large, the beds are comfortable, plenty of pillows, the bathroom is clean, the shower is hot and soothing. I made the mistake one time about not booking early enough. My children and I had to stay elsewhere. My kids begged me to book here again. I completely agreed with them.

2021-12-16I can recommend this property with some reservations as to cleanliness. While the overall cleanliness of the property was outstanding. A careful inspection of the room revealed some leftover refuse from a previous guest stay. The bedsheets also did not feel freshly laundered however there were no stains or odors evident. Otherwise I did like the modern clean appearance of the property. Many properties I stay at need refurbishment and updating particular the outlets lighting TV and bathrooms. The property was outstanding overall.

2021-12-31Hotel was nice and clean. Breakfast was good. Only caution would be that there is NO sound proofing. You can hear every door shut and every kid running down the hall. We had two 30 lb toddlers in our room doing typical toddler things ( jumping like a frog, running across the room) and we got noise complaints from the room below us, both well before the 10pm quiet time. . I have never had a noise complaints at a hotel in my entire life. It made our stay quite miserable, as we had to try to keep the kids contained to the beds and not let them run on the floor. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this hotel to families of small children, or special needs kids, or people who cannot tolerate any noise.

2021-11-01Visited Savannah for the first time. Hotel location required a 10 minute drive to Historic downtown and Riverfront. As parking is scarce for these areas, we wished we had booked a hotel within walking distance. Overall stay was fine. Didn’t like having to go to front desk to obtain clean towels as staff not entering room during our stay due to COVID. Understandable, just need a better method of changing out towels. Breakfast buffet was good. Especially liked the pancake maker.

2022-05-28New hotel, clean and roomy. Breakfast included is fantastic. However, the ac unit under the window is deafening and at 4.30am the smoke alarm started beeping every 15 seconds or so. Matras and pillows are not firm. I only got a few hours of sleep.

2022-04-05They have a great breakfast for being an express hotel - omelets and sausage! Not just muffins and bagels! A little out of the way from downtown but a quick drive in so not an issue and its easily reached off I-95 coming from out of town. Really close to PSI testing center if youre heading there (like I was).

2022-06-20The desk associates were friendly, my room was clean, and the breakfast bar was fantastic! I am very thankful the housekeepers are thorough when cleaning. I read reviews on all the hotels in Savannah and most were not great; I was nervous when booking but this hotel had the best reviews and I was not let down! If I go back to Savannah this will be my hotel!
