Went to Atlanta to attend a wedding. The hotel staff was very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were clean and comfy, Breakfast was served daily. When we couldnt get into our room because the key did not work, they took care of it right away. Turned out the battery in the door was low. So the batteries were changed right away. The breakfast staff was very friendly and made sure that there were plenty of food available for the guest. I would definitely stay there again.
The room and hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly. The breakfast and dining area was excellent and overall, it was a great experience. If I was to make one critique, it would be on the pool area. Great effort has been taken with the hotel but the pool is lacking. Needs updating, some cosmetic work and adds to make it more appealing, especially for the kids. If not for this and other then the pool, I would rate it a 5 star.
Very nice hotel with comfortable beds and well appointed breakfast. We stayed in a king room with a bonus space that our son enjoyed sleeping in. It had its own television and day bed and was perfect for him. If you book this room, it does get a bit stuffy and warm, but once the blinds are shut, it gets better.
I enjoyed my stay for a business trip. Good breakfast in the morning, clean rooms with a microwave, fridge, and plenty of outlets. The bad (and reason for removing one star): The internet was pretty slow. Speedtest.net gave me about 4Mbps down and about 5Mbps upload. It was hard to stream tv shows and do anything else at the same time. I had to use my hotspot on my phone that gave me 100Mbps down. I get that there are probably a lot of guests, but maybe upgrade your internet package or have another line installed to all guests can get more bandwidth to stream tv shows at night or if they need to video conference during the day. Its 2022, I think I had faster internet at home in 2004 then what I got in the room.
We were in town for a funeral and didn’t arrive the hotel till 4am. We explained to staff we will need to check out late since we were tired. First thing she told us was that we are lucky she didn’t cancel our reservation as she didn’t know if we will show up. Next morning at 10 after 11, they were calling and asking us to leave the room. We asked them to give us till noon and they decided to charge us $25. We didn’t care for breakfast since we were very tired and just needed to rest. Nice and clean but lack of consideration for loyalty clients. I’m a rewards member.
The staff was exceptional! They were very helpful and accommodating. We were there for the State Track Meet, had about 20 rooms and used the conference room to host dinner every night for our runners. The staff was always willing to help us out and give us anything we needed. Very clean, sanitary and safe. I highly recommend this hotel!
Positive: This was by far the cleanest hotel I have visited. My husband and I drove from Alabama for a concert at the Mable House Amphitheatre which was only a few minutes away. FYI: the shower is not broken! Ask the Desk for help if you cant figure it out¿ Negative: Not at all! Will definitely stay again!
I have stayed at this hotel a few times in the past but for whatever reason I started staying at a different IHG hotel in the Atlanta area whenever I am in Atlanta for business, which is 10-12 times a year typically for a week each time. The last time I stayed at the other hotel the experience was far below average so I decided to look for another IHG property to stay at. This hotel was an excellent choice. From check-in to check-out 8 days later I never had anything but a good experience. The staff that I deal with were all very friendly, polite, and helpful. I didn’t have a lot of dealings with the staff because I pretty much keep to myself, but the few times I did they were awesome! The check-in was even better than I am used to because I checked in using the IHG app. When I got to the hotel there was a limited amount of paperwork that I had to do. It was a pretty painless experience, and it was also very nice that they gave me just the type of room that I had requested. So often hotels either cannot accommodate that, or perhaps they don’t bother to look at my requests? Either way this hotel did a very good job with that. The breakfast was ALWAYS on time and everything was always stocked. I have seen hotels where they’re constantly behind the curve and running out of stuff constantly. Not this hotel — they were on their A-game and it was above average, especially when I consider what hotel breakfasts have been until recently. It was at least as good as I can remember Pre-Pandemic at other IHG properties, if not better. I always knew that when I went down there at 6:30 they would be open for business and not just getting started setting up. I wasn’t in the area as a tourist, but rather for work and I had to get up early and get breakfast on time or I would just have to go without. They never let me down. There was really nothing about this stay that wasn’t above average, except for one small minor inconvenience. I noticed that this hotel unlike almost all of the other IHG properties I have stayed at did not have the IHG connect WiFi where as long as you had the app on your phone it would connect almost without any effort. A passcode was required and it was a bit of a hassle to have to grab the check in folder where the front desk clerk wrote down the passcode every time I wanted to connect. However, and I want to be really clear on this — it was NOT a huge deal. The internet was stable and reliable, although not particularly fast. I had no issues doing my work and even streaming a movie or two while I was there for 8 days. After my stay I reached out to the hotel to offer my gratitude for a great stay and to bring it to their attention that the WiFi was a little below what I am used to at other IHG hotels. The Regional manager replied to me rather quickly and told me that they were well aware of that and that they are working to improve that situation but like so many other things in the present world, it got pushed back due to circumstances beyond their control (i.e. the pandemic). I accepted that explanation and was grateful that my email was answered so quickly.I will definitely be staying at this property again. In fact I just booked another 1-week stay for a stay a few weeks from now.It was refreshing to see a hotel that provided good service without having to resort to the worn out, overused excuse of “due to the pandemic”…. They never failed to impress me so they didn’t have to use any excuses. :-)
This hotel will let you get your own coffee!! It was so nice to walk up to the counter and fix myself a cup of coffee. Breakfast was okay but nobody during Covid has had a great free breakfast. Pillows werent great, but not bad....other than that we would stay here again. Room was spacious and clean and showerhead was great with nice water pressure. Hotel is clean and housekeeping is available to any who want it during this covid time.
This hotel is always clean and staff is always pleasant and professional. The rooms are always clean and the entire hotel is nice. I kno they have breakfast but Ive never gotten up early enough except when I stayed during bad covid times and it was a grab bag but I believe they r back to full breakfast now
I was there when my father went into the hospital and this is the only hotel around the area. The general presentation of the hotel and rooms seems great at first and then you start to see and experience things that are less appealing. My biggest complaint was after a long day of hospital visits and running around, we wanted to relax and watch some TV. The satellite consistently didnt work for more than an hour on crystal clear, blue sky evenings. Also, there were wires hanging out of the AC unit and in other parts of the room. There was a leftover piece of food in the desk chair which was pretty gross. No water for IHG members due to COVID! The staff was awesome though I will give them that much!
I was having restoration completed at my home and this was the ideal place to spend the week. The staff is great. Especially Nickie. She was the best!!! She made me feel welcome and appreciated. I had an issue with my refrigerator and within 1/2 hour the issue was solved. Guest Service is job one with this hotel.
I arrived late and the desk attendant was very professional and nice and gave me a great room. The breakfast in the morning was amazing and I was able to use the gym all by myself due to covid restrictions no. The hotel only allows one guest at a time and the gym. Which was Awesome!
I enjoyed some tv shows and loved their comfortable bed! It was very quiet and I felt well rested in the morning! The staff was very nice to me and pleasant! The environment was clean and beyond what I thought it would be. The room had a great feel and the hallways were quiet which I love because I feel like I’m away from home with more privacy.
Unfortunately, our stay was poor due to faulty fire alarms and inability to tell time. On first morning there, they had closed breakfast before the posted time so originally they didn’t have anything for us and the others around us to eat. But thankfully they made more food since they threw everything out. Unfortunate waste but I appreciated the food. Our next night was plagued with faulty fire alarms that went off at least 5 times between 1-5am. This was terrible because every time we fell asleep we were awoken by the fire alarm, then we had to drive 9 hours home the next day with no sleep.
Loved staying here. I was pleasantly surprised at the overall quality of this hotel. The bed was soooo comfortable - I actually slept a full 8 hours - something I havent done in years! The breakfast was very good and the coffee great. The rooms were very clean and just comfortable overall.
Nice and clean. Good amenities and a very large TV in the room. Nothing looked out of place, and everything seemed to be well cared for. The attendant that met us was very polite and helpful even though we were checking in well after midnight. My only complaint was that the bed was a bit too soft for my liking, but you cant please everyone, every time when it comes to bed firmness.
My normal routine for years have been to sanitize the bathroom and other items (I bring my Lysol with me). Upon entering the room I was truly impressed by the changes in the room. I did my normal sanitizing and left to visit my grandsons after their surgeries. Upon returning very late to my room, the first thing I noticed was there was a bug in the toilet. I then did a very in-depth cleaning inspection of the bathroom and found it unacceptably. On one side of the toilet it was dirty and there was a red spot on the base and on the other side was brown dried stain. Also I noticed that there were hairs on the floor. We did not shower in the room but over to my son’s house. We spent the majority of the time away from the room. I reported the problem to the Counter Representative when I was checking out. I was told I should have reported this immediately and someone would come and clean. The problem with this is that I did not want anyone in my room and I had used all of my Lysol and was not sure if I would be able to find another can in the store. We also saw a bug by the coffee pot. I have been staying here for many years and have never experienced this. With the pandemic I am assuming that rooms are now vacant for longer times than usual but the pandemic is the one reason that extra care should be taken not only for sanitizing but cleanness as well.
My hotel stay was great. The staff, especially Jessica at front desk was nice and professional. My requests for a quiet room away from elevator was honored. The bed was comfortable and I liked that they had two pillows choices in the room, Firm and soft. The room was welcoming and very clean. The free breakfast was more than adequate. This was my 2nd stay at this hotel and I highly recommend it. I have family close by and this will be home away from home when I make my visits.
The location of this hotel is simply awesome. From the main road, you cannot even see the actual buidling only the sign for the establishment. Upon entering (we visited during dreaded COVID), the front desk was tastefully isolated with a clear glass pane for protection. In front of the desk, was a long table that contained several hand sanitizing rubs, tubs for disposing used room keys and pens in and flyers that outline the hotel policies as they pertain to the the COVID requlations. The staff was amazingly friendly and went over the hotel regulations clearly. She made sure that we were clear about the facility and the use of its public amenities. She was very adamant about calling her should we needed anything at all or had any further questions. This is a return visit for us (our 3rd) and as usual our room was in immaculate condition. It was sizeable and the beds were perfect (not too soft or firm). We were spoiled with plenty of on each bed- more than we needed, that were heavy and ranged from soft to very firm. The bathroom was also spacious and all amenities were present. We had plenty of towels and the room also came with a fridge, microwave, safe, coffee maker, and a large wardrobe that more than fit all 5 of our bags and hangup luggage. Thank you, IHG for making this stay exceptional as always especially during this awkward and scary COVID period.
The staff at this hotel went out of their way to make my stay more comfortable and convenient. I was here because I had a family member in the hospital. The manager allowed me to check in early so I could rest and gave me extra coffee and hygiene items I had forgotten. The whole time I was there, they were friendly and encouraging. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked.
My wife and I were in that area on business for two days. We were greeted by a friendly desk staff. I believe her name was Courtney, she was very helpful. This must be a busy hotel for the area because the parking lot filled up quickly. the hotel is off the busy street so you dont hear traffic. The bed was pretty comfortable as well as the pillows. Our bathroom door wouldnt close but quickly fixed by the staff. The only thing I was disappointed in was the air conditioner, which seemed to not be able to keep the room as cool as we like it. This was our second stay at this hotel and we plan to stay there again in March of next year.
Everything , with the exception of the fire alarm going off every hour during the evening, was perfect. I honestly want to give this location a top review, but for this time around I have to be honest and give it four stars due to the issue of the fire alarm and no compensation for the disruption sleep.
The room was clean and the staff very welcoming. There was a grab n go breakfast assortment during this Covid-19 time, but I didnt partake so cannot rate the food. I really enjoyed my stay. The room was large enough for a local family member to visit, work on a project, and watch some TV. Very relaxing. I wont hesitate to reserve a room here the next time I visit the area.
Marietta GA is hometown to me so visiting was just another time home to see my family! This location was very organized and very clean. In a pandemic, that was especially important to me. Our room smelled and looked clean. Our front desk lady was so welcoming and nice! Through our 4 days stay, she made sure we had everything we needed, and make sure our kids were comfortable. Our house keepers, Dilicia, was very responsive and prompt. We appreciate the hospitality!
Front desk staff was not helpful with check in stating my credit card was not accepted and offering little explanation of the reason. Customer service should work not only when things run smooth but; in fact, should be at a higher standard when customers need assistance.
This hotel is very nice and very clean. Rooms are well appointed, and hotel staff friendly and polite. My only complaint would be that the ‘grap and go’ breakfast offered due to Covid virus offered few options and did not provide items advertised. There were no hot item provided - only pastries, cereals and some fruits.
This place is well kept and the staff is very friendly. Room was perfect with no issues. I did the pool last time and it was a great experience, it was closed this time due to weather. The gym area is nice but they need cleaning products so we can wipe the machines before and after using them. Stayed here a couple of times now and I would again in the future. The only thing that needs work is the breakfast. The hot food section didnt taste good at all.
This my go-to hotel when I find myself in Powder Springs. I have a HIGHLY SKILLED specialist who I see regularly and I live 4 states away. The staff here is exceptional and cater to my needs. The facility is so clean it feels brand new. The beds are not too soft/just right and are adorned with a variety of soft, medium, and firm pillows. It is nestled in a quiet area near a small wooded space away from all traffic. This place is a unique God send! You will not regret staying here.
This hotel was awful. The fire alarm went off several times throughout the day and night our entire stay. The front desk kept saying maintenance was fixing it. The strip on the fridge was broken so we could store any food or drinks in there..we sprayed microban on the sheets because they smelled bad and there was hair in the tub so we cleaned that too..we also had to call the front desk to fix the tv
The hotel was in good condition. There was construction/renovation going on in the breakfast area but that didn’t make it too overcrowded. The bed was very comfortable and room was nice. My biggest issues were with the lack of friendliness of the staff and the lack of food at breakfast. At check in one of the front desk workers kept talking over the other and neither was overly professional or friendly. At breakfast there was almost no hot food. I stood and waited for 10 minutes for bacon and sausage to be replenished. and when it was, it wasn’t much.
The rooms are spacious, clean and cozy. Everything is updated, great decor ,beds are comfortable . It wasnt mentioned anywhere on the website that pool will be open after memorial day, so my kids, nephews and i were extremely disappointed. The staff were nice and attentive. Breakfast was hot and they had some fresh fruit but the staff were take account of how much people were eating they were whispering in each others ears, and signing at each other. So unprofessional beside that i will stay there again if I go to Georgia and will recommend to others.
Quick access to main roads and highways, which made it easier to maneuver around the Kennesaw and Marietta areas. Nice and clean hotel, a bit of an awkward location, but still easy enough to find. Check in and out was pretty quick and the staff was very friendly and courteous. Not a very large 3 story hotel, but it was nice and worth the expense. No problems with making reservations. The parking lot is a bit small, not really made for oversized vehicles. I did like the room selections available on the weekend we stayed there. The bed was comfortable, ambient noise was very limited, and we had a sofa sleeper too. Unfortunately no good scenic views to speak of outside our window.
They were incredibly rude. An agreement was made with my sister and staff for them to accept us bringing our dog with us as we were in the midst of a crisis. My first interaction with staff was my keycard not working and being told that they dont know whatever it is you guys are doing with the card and this is the seventh time. It was the first time I had been to the desk. I was carrying my dog, and they were aware then that my dog would be entering the hotel with me. I had forgotten to wear my mask and then been subsequently locked out and could not retrieve it, so to the best of my ability, I covered my mouth using the hood of my sweater. The card was reactivated for me. I went around the back so as not to come across anyone else without my mask. The back door opened. When I tried it on my room, having not had any other electronics with me (not even my phone to call someone to bring me a mask), it did not work. I understand that a mask was forgotten, and it is mandatory, but the tenor of the conversation was completely disrespectful. There was no way for me to retrieve my mask with a non-working key card. And it was through no fault of my own that their key card had continuously not worked in that they had to be reactivated for other members in my party. The only reason the staff member said we had been by is the other people were connected with that dog. Therefore, the staff were aware that we had our dog.The next morning, at 7 AM, they asked us to vacate the room because people were complaining about the dog. I then called the front desk and informed that that one member in our party would be leaving with our dog. I had classes to take and would be staying to take them. The woman I spoke to said okay. We hung up. Our room was then called back to inform us that we must leave because of the dog. I asked why that would be considering that our dog was leaving. I asked to speak to a manager. The manager, Leslie, was volatile and stated that we arent supposed to have a dog at all. I informed her of the agreement and said that our dog would be leaving. We have to deep clean that room, because our guests have allergies. Were going to lose revenue.Mind you, we paid full-price for our rooms and were asked to vacate with no regard to any school or work schedules or the fact that we had a 1-year-old with us. I also am concerned that they would only be deep-cleaning because of a pet. Were in the midst of a pandemic. They should be deep-cleaning each room after a guest uses it in order to slow the spread of COVID-19. Yet, that was what I was told. To speak to a customer about your revenue was tactless. I would not recommend staying here as the staff do not appear to communicate with each other. In a ten-minute span, one employee told me we were being asked to leave because of complaints, and another told me that it was due to them needing to deep-clean the room. Which is it?
This hotel is very nice. Beds, furniture and decor seem contemporary and new. My family enjoyed a comfortable stay here. Great amenities in the room as well. However, I was very disappointed with the customer service. The gal working the front desk in the evening upon our arrival, was very unfriendly. She seemed preoccupied with her phone to get up and greet or help us and when she did, it was minimal at best. Breakfast was lacking. Very few items to choose from and the waffle maker did not work. Overall if you are looking for a place to sleep and thats all, this is a good place. Dont expect much more than that.
Great stay, room was comfy and spacious on each stay. This is my 3rd week staying so im getting to know staff and they are super friendly. Breakfast is always good but i would like to see more fresh fruit. They only offer bananas, apples and oranges. The atmosphere is so nice and many use the hotel for business, Id like to see a mini happy hour in the evenings. Only complaint was the wet carpet and horrible smell in my room on the 2nd visit. I didnt report it bc it would have been a hassle if I had to move. Overall, great stay.
We were impressed by the superb organization and effectiveness of the Holiday Inn Express in Austell. My wife and I have used this location to visit our daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughters since it was first opened. Always excellent, the team has hit truly outstanding in perfecting travel under comprehensive Covid-19 practical precautions.
The staff members were awesome and the bed was comfy. I do wish face masks were required and that there were more hand sanitizing options available to guests. In addition, most hotels will allow for a later checkout when possible so I would suggest offering that to guests as well! Overall a good stay for the cost!
Our room was spacious and mattress extremely comfortable. The soft whitest towels I’ve ever seen in a hotel. Love to acknowledge Courtney who checked us in. Pleasant , accommodating and willing to please with a smile every time we saw her. Nice size tv with HBO. Great location next to restaurants, malls, gas and movie theater. Even got an oil change and car wash. If ever in the area, would definitely stay there again.
Definitely one of the best IHG locations I have stayed at. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable furniture. The evening social was an unexpected but wonderful amenity. The food was great and I was able to make a meal out of the snacks provided. The staff were very friendly and approachable. I will definitely recommend this hotel to others.
Thank you Nikki and Courtney, my husband and I really appreciate both of you for your professionalism and your willingness to make things right. I initially called in reference to changing my reservations and right off, I found NIkki to be very helpful, she took the time to explain things to me, she did not rush me and she was more than willing to answer any questions that I had. Courtney was amazing as well. We stayed for several nights and the first night was fine. However, the TV stopped working and the air conditioner. When my husband spoke to Courtney, she immediately placed us in another room without hesitation. She also upgraded the room; tv and a/c both worked properly. However, we were not able to rest comfortably, the people who were on both sides of us were noisy, slamming doors all during the night and early morning hours, alarms in the rooms going off. I had planned on checking out at 10:30, however due to the noise, I was unable to sleep, I checked out much earlier. Even though this happened, it was no reflection on the staff. Courtney accommodated us the best she could and we appreciate it. If there are Employee of the Month, both NIkki and Courtney certainly deserve it. Thank you ladies. Because of you two, should we need to stay again, we will certainly book again because of your service.
From entering the facility, I seen that all precautions were being taken due to COVID19. I was very hesitant on staying at any hotel, but the Holiday Inn is always my choice, because I trust the brand. The facility was very clean, breakfast was done exceptionally well, and the rooms were very clean and the beds as always, make you sleep like a baby!!!!!! Thank you for caring about our safety!!!!!
I am an Aspire member. I live in Holiday Inn Expresses for most of the year. I have never been treated more rudely. When I walked in I noticed that the person to whom the clerk was speaking did not have a mask on so I assumed that I could lower my mask to speak. When I checked in she lashed out at me for not having my mask on. I asked her why she had not lashed out at the person in front of me. She made an excuse. She then insisted I read the COVID guidelines and handed them to me. Really? If someone does not know those guidelines by now, then they will never know them. She told me to read the signs with an attitude. I just left and went to my room. If she would have simply asked me to wear my mask, I would have been happy to comply. A double standard and a sarcastic clerk with an attitude is why I am writing this review and will never stay at this hotel again.
The hotel was very nice and the staff seemed friendly. Nice size rooms and comfortable beds. Within walking distance to at least one restaurant. Breakfast was great with many choices and the attendants were very nice. Although I used points to stay at this hotel, I was also charged by the hotel. When I brought this to the attention of the staff I was told I wouldnt be charged. I should have known something since the person on duty didnt even look my accomodations up in the computer. Now Im trying to get the extra charge reversed.
We had a good experience with this hotel, front desk staff were great. The breakfast was also good, keeping In mind it’s not a restaurant. The pool could use a good cleaning or new filters and our room was noisy from hallway noise that would wake us up ( needs some type of insulation to cut down on noise). But over all a good stay.
Upon arrival I could tell the hotel was going under some major renovation. So the lobby and entire first floor were all in disaray. Check in was smooth and my room was ready early. We had a suite and it was very good. Very basic, but clean, lare, spacious and comfy. Check out was smooth as well. Due to construction, the breakfast was in a lower floor conference room, not a big deal, but noted. All in all, pretty good experience.
Remodel underway but that did not impact our stay at all. No noise at night from construction. Had a newly remodeled room. Nice, crisp design, cold AC but the unit was LOUD. Not a big deal. The table in front of the pull out bed is super heavy and hard to move. We stay here often. The remodel looks great! The bathroom is brighter and very clean in appearance. There was some rust/wear at corners of tub bottom on the outside but...no big deal. Would stay again. Wish the price did not include the amusement taxes etc charged by the county. Im usually there for business not leisure. Friendly staff!
My short weekend visit staying at this hotel was very enjoyable. I was impressed with all aspects of the property. The staff were friendly, room was spacious and clean an there was a wide choice of breakfast items. Even though there is no in-house provision for a light lunch or dinner, the hotel is in close proximity to many popular eating places. Its a great place to stay!
The staff was extremely professional and courteous. They made sure all our needs were met. The breakfast area was constantly being cleaned and had a very welcoming feeling no matter what time we went past the room. We loved the promotional that was running - Breakfast from 6am-12pm including late check out at 12pm. This hotel is a great one to stay when you are traveling for business or leisure, family or solo. Its a must stop.
The location of the hotel was conveniently located for my needs with close proximity to the highway. The A/C was little too noisy which made for not so restful night. The mattress had a big sunken spot on the left side so I had to try to sleep in the middle of the bed to avoid the sunken area. House keeping staff should pay attention to the condition of the mattress and make management aware when mattresses need to be changed. Breakfast was excellent especially since you now offer egg white omelettes.
I am a frequent guest at this hotel as I see a medical specialist in Atlanta. I live in Kentucky and Texas and make the drive from both locations to Atlanta. I love the staff here at the Powder Springs location. Not only are they extremely professional, but they are also very dedicated to ensuring my comfort during my stay. They have always honored any request Ive had and they take the time to consider my long commutes by ensuring that I am able to get into my room quickly and effortlessly. This hotel is the only one I choose to stay in when Im in ATL. Thank you Holiday Inn Express staff for all you do!
The Manager and hotel staff are always accommodating. We have stayed at this hotel several times and have never been disappointed. Upon check-in we were greeted by the manager and placed in very nice rooms. We stayed for a week due to damage to our home. Each night that we came in from work, our rooms were totally cleaned, which is exactly what we needed each day after a hard days work. The breakfast was awesome, the hostess was very friendly and the breakfast bar was always fully stocked. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family. Best place to stay in the Austell, Powder Springs Area.
The rooms that are on the lower level under the kitchen and eating area are terrible, very noisy, chairs dragging along the floor. Very hard to sleep with all the noise. At night a large group checked in and it sounded like a herd of animals in the lobby walking around, dragging chairs around, stomping on the floor, etc. Stay on floor 1-3 to get some rest.
This hotel was great! Great Staff and awesome guest rooms. The rooms are very clean, roomy, really nice bath rooms and the beds and pillows are out of this work comfortable. You have 2 choices of pillows on the bed, soft or firm. I like that a choice was available. I did not eat the breakfast (I would out of the hotel too early) and I did use the fitness room (work days were too long). I will definitely return.
This was probably one of the best experiences Ive ever had at a hotel. Everything was so clean, and the staff was friendly and thoughtful. The room actually felt luxurious! I walked in and literally said wow. I didnt have a single problem. It was wonderful and relaxing.
The staff was great at this location. They were responsive nice and accommodating. The cleaning of the rooms was very slack. The settings/preparation of items and/or utilities within the room were only visual. Nothing was done with full effort, either the staff rushes through the process or the expectation of this location is low. Either way the quality control is slack and/or missing.
This was a pretty expensive hotel for the area. But it got great reviews and now I know why. The staff was super courteous, and very accommodating. The bed was so comfortable! I wanted to keep the pillows- thats how soft they were! Breakfast was pretty good too. I did not get to use the pool. I would definitely come back here. I wish it was a little bit less expensive though.
Traveling on business and was happy to end the day greeted by a very friendly Joseph at the front desk. Check-in was a breeze and I was pleasantly surprised at the spacious room and bathroom. I like having a sitting area separate from the sleeping area. The bed was a little too soft for my comfort but the pillows are huge and comfy. Great selection at breakfast, but items were running out (it was around 9am so breakfast was almost over). Will definitely return to this hotel when I am on business in Austell, GA.
I found each employee I encountered to be helpful and friendly. Everyone was always available and ready to help our answer any questions I had. The breakfast was amazing and the variety of choices was wide and very good. At night, the desk clerks were always available (not back in the back room asleep or talking) ! They were also very cognitive of people coming in off the street who were not registered guests. They were calm and efficient in asking that person to leave, but didnt create a scene or incite an air of danger. VERY CONVIENANT location . it was a wonderful stay and I would definitely stay again!
My family had a wonderful stay in a spacious and clean hotel from top to bottom. The pool was clean & adequate for my ten year old son. The beds were comfortable and the appliances were somewhat modern. There were no plumbing issues or moisture problems during our stay. Most important, every host was kind and attentive to my families every need. I will most likely stay at this Holiday Inn Express again!Keep Up The Great Work !Tiger from Cleveland.
This was my first time staying in this particular hotel. It was a breath of fresh air after having to change from another hotel that was nowhere up to par. With me having to stay here for 3 weeks the staff made me feel right at home. Candis, CJ and Courtney to name a couple made me feel like family. Everyone always met me with a smile each time they saw me even if it were multiple times a day. While there was construction going on, they kept the noise down to a minimum and the construction workers were friendly as well. I will make sure that I continue to suggest this hotel for family, friends and State employees.State Friend
Disappointed with toilet and door closure that was not fixed. large and nicely decorated room. Breakfast menu needs more variety. Good coffee. Thought a bit expensive for an Express hotel. Have family in area and was hoping for better hotel experience for future visits. Could not access my rewards account with pin from Priority Reward days, Talked to several IHG agents but had to re enroll (losing my points) in order to actually have use of the website. Disappointing. May look at other hotels that are not as close to family but more satisfactory and economical.
HORRIBLE HOTEL!!!!!! Front desk attendant Nikki was excellent but the management had sub par customer service. First, the room has a slight oder like there had been a dog in the room. So, Im on day 2 of my stay and Im in the shower. I can hear the keys of someone walking down the hallway entering rooms, no big deal then I hear the voice of male person and keys opening my door. House keeping opened my door and proceeded to enter my room. I said there is someone in here.. he closed to door. I immediately called the front desk and asked for a manager.I received no apologies from anyone. I went and met with the manager on duty and they offered me 10000 point or 20% of one-night stay.I stated that her offer was not sufficient. Im exchanging money for an hotel room Rest Easy... Stay with confidence is there motto, but I couldnt Rest Easy after a man entered my room while I was naked. I surely couldnt had any confidence in the hotel after that. I felt violated. Your offering me 20% off isnt a fair offer for violating my peace. I paid my bill with sufficient funds not counterfeit bills so, they received there compensation but didnt hold up there end of the hotel agreement. On top of the insult of the room entry manager Leslie Colter never offered and apology for the room entry.2021 customer service is ridiculous!!!Update to Leslie response. Most people who visit a hotel dont rate their hotel experience on a nightly basis, the experience is bases on the time of their stay at your hotel. So to offer a person a discount on one nite when youve ruined their stay your hotel is not a honest compensation for breaching a room.
The stay began with the attendant trying to not honor my military discount. I was given a room that was connected to the kitchen. After my business was attended to, we arrived back to the hotel. I only got a couple hours of sleep. I was awakened by loud noises coming from next to the room. It sounded like someone was banging on the walls. With that and the loud talking I was unable to go back to sleep. Once the noise stopped I was still sleepy and fell asleep. I woke up right at 11am or so and proceeded to get the remainder of my things together for checkout. Before I could call the front desk the room phone riung and I was rudely told that I was going to be charged extra. I tried to explain the reasoning behind the late checkout and I was cut off and told there was nothing that could be done. I was charged multiple extra fees some of which I didn’t recognize. The stay was awful and I have visited many other IHG properties with no issues like these. I would like a partial or full refund for my inconvenience and treatment!
We stayed two nights. Overall the room was nice and clean and the bed and pillows were comfy. The doors closing in the hall were very loud. The room was a bid hot and stuffy. Even after I turned down the heat and turned on the unit fan, it was still very warm. Overall, it was nice and I would stay again.
Given our current pandemic hotel was spotless, staff was pleasant, helpful and abiding by all social distancing requirements, masks etc. Room was spotless and very comfortable. Was not concerned to stay in room. Like the area hotel in, safe with restaurants etc nearby or ability to use food delivery apps.
We arrived very late, however, the front desk staff member was professional and friendly. Check in was fast and easy. The standard room was very spacious, well appointed, and very clean. As is usual with Holiday Inn Express locations, the bed was amazingly comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, and was particularly enjoyable due to the hospitality of the breakfast host, and her warm and friendly persona to all guests. The hotel property is in a good area of the city, and convenient to many attractions. Awesome stay!
I enjoyed my recent stay at this property. The hotel staff was very friendly and concerned that my stay was as pleasurable as possible. The young lady at the front desk was extremely pleasant and kind during each interaction we had with one another. The hotels location is great for running out for dinner or any other errands that need to be ran and is not situated anywhere near an expressway or set of railroad tracks.
This was a last minute getaway. I was very pleased with the hotel and its location. The staff was very nice and the breakfast was hot and excellent. There was a large selection of items. My room was right cross from the elevator, which I loved. And believe it or not, I didnt hear any noise of other guest coming or going. Great place to stay and I would recommend to others.
We had a pleasant stay, just upon entering our room there was what looked like wood shavings on the floor and found an empty plastic bottle between the nightstand and the bed. upon closer inspection, it looked as though the bed had not been vacuumed under in quite some time. The good news is that there were no signs of vermin or bugs!!! We asked that our room be vacuumed again and it was better. The bathroom, microwave, and fridge were all very clean areas. The beds were very clean and comfortable.
Room was clean and comfortable, but noisy at night (I was near the lobby). I did not receive the corner room I requested, and the room I received was not ready by 3:00 (although I requested early arrival). The staff was friendly and courteous. The breakfast was good and the food staff was helpful. I will visit again...
Welcomed as soon as we entered. Joseph behind the desk was professional and courteous. I had multiple rooms checking in with various methods of payment, and they had everyone figured out and ready to go - making my check-in fast and simple! Thank you! Beds were very comfortable, rooms quiet, breakfast was pretty good. Enjoyed our stay. Would recommend and visit again.
My stay at this location was excellent. The staff was outstanding and extremely helpful. The only issue was the construction going on in the lobby, well, the entire first floor seems to be under renovation so it was not pleasant. But, my room, the gym, breakfast and business center where excellent for what I needed. Will definitely stay there again next time Im in the area.
This hotel stay was awesome!! Very friendly and helpful staff - we never wanted for anything. The location is off the beaten path providing a quiet setting, but yet close enough to all of the shops and restaurants you could possibly want. The room was perfect, the breakfast was terrific (really loved the cinnamon rolls), and everybody was so friendly and helpful. Even though we didnt use the pool, I spent my early morning quiet time at the pool area. It was very secluded and quiet. Thanks to all of the staff for a great stay!!
My wife and I went to this hotel to get a peaceful nights sleep because of an issue with our house that prevented us from staying there that night. The hotel was close by and seemed like a really nice place to go. Our opinions changed once we were in our room. It was cold that night and it wouldve been nice if the thermostat in our room worked. We had to stay under the covers to stay warm. The walls were paper thin and we could hear the adjacent rooms music and people talking from the moment we arrived until 9am. ALL NIGHT LONG. Our room was on the lower level and seems like it was underneath a maintenance closet or housekeeping room. Starting at about 4am you could hear someone moving rolling carts or rolling trashcans around, pushing furniture around, moving other things around and also walking around with the worlds heaviest feet. We came there to get a good nights rest because of an issue at our house, but it was impossible to sleep in a freezing cold room with nonstop noises from above and next door ALL NIGHT LONG. I feel like I paid my money to go to a torture chamber, not a hotel.
We were pleasantly surprised by the friendly desk person, which was so refreshing after a 6 hr long drive. That weekend the hotel was totally sold out and full of lots of young people there participating in either a softball or soccer tournament. However, the place still was very clean, and for the most part quiet. The breakfast buffet offered way more choices than I expected--cheese omelets, regular sausage AND turkey sausage, as well as biscuits, gravy an array of breads, pancakes, and much much more! We stayed at another hotel in the same area the next night just to be closer to our friends house, but their breakfast buffet couldnt compare. Next time we stay in this area, we will only stay at this hotel.
Hotel was in a state of remodel. No hairdryer in the room. Stepping around dust and painters. Morning front desk receptionist was very helpful as we had to leave before breakfast (6:30 start time) and she opened early so we could eat. Rooms have new furniture and the beds are comfortable. The in room old style air conditioner is loud as it constantly turns on and off.
Had an efficient check in. Went to room on 3rd floor but it smelled of smoke so we asked for a new room. The front desk was apologetic and offered a free upgrade room on the 4th floor. We were very happy with the response.....the young lady (sorry I forget her name) is exactly what you want at every hotel!! The next room was very nice and clean and had no smoke smell. We stayed 3 nights. Sleep very well all 3 nights. I ate breakfast each morning. The first 2 mornings there were several items that were empty and it took awhile for them to get refilled. Quality was the usual fare.....no complaints. I definitely recommend this hotel.
I recommend this place. Staff was nice, breakfast choices were great. Freshly made pancakes, omelets, pork and turkey sausage, cereal, fruit, all kinds of breads, juices. While the kitchen may close the coffee is always available. They have a small corner store area where you can by snacks and other necessities. Room and bathroom were clean. A few negatives - we didnt have a tub stopper for baths, one towel short for 4 people, ran out of toilet paper after first night there, tv lost connection. One way or another all of that was taken care of. There is a Zaxbys fast food restaurant basically right out the front door. Location is close to other restaurants, Walgreens, gas,etc...
I stayed at this property for a weekend getaway. I normally stay at a different hotel, , but decided to use this hotel because it was closer to the area I was visiting. I was delightfully surprised at how nice this hotel is. From check in to check out, everyone was courteous but most of all professional. The suite was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was pretty decent, but it wasnt main concern for me. For the price and accommodations, I think IHG has proved to be one of the better hotel chains. We will definitely be staying at this property again.
I was here for two weeks for business. Very nice hotel and relatively quiet. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I love the popcorn offered during the weekday evenings. My room was very clean. If I had to complain, it would be the beds. They were very soft and I could tell which side people would sleep on. They need to invest in new matresses. But, overall, not a bad night sleep. I will stay here again.
I have been traveling for well over a month and this is the friendliest Holiday Inn Express I stayed at. The staff is very friendly and they make you feel like family. I stayed in a mini suite for a week and found it very comfortable, the extra space was very nice. The price of the suite was very reasonable and worth the difference in price over the regular room. The breakfast was typical Holiday Inn Express, but the staff was much more efficient. The food trays were always filled no matter what time you came down. There were the usual choices which were always available. The entire hotel staff went out of their way to accommodate your needs. The hotel is located in the suburbs, near numerous restaurants and stores which make it very convenient when traveling. The hotels locations is about 20 minutes from the city of Atlanta. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again!
This hotel offers great value for the money beginning with a property that is well kept, a nice clean and spacious room that offered a quiet good nights sleep. The room refrigerator worked well and the television direct tv was in good working order. The parking was easy and the breakfast was delicious. The fitness room was a great way to start my morning!
The staff is very friendly and helpful. The bathroom in our suite was not in good condition. The toilet base had hair on it and the bolts on both sides of the toilet that attach the base to the floor did not have covers on the. The tub floor was pink (not clean). The sink was clean though. The hotel was going through a remodel and should not have sold the room if it was not complete. The thermostat on the wall (or whatever it was supposed to be) did not have a cover on it.
First of all I cant put into words how much I appreciated, the staff at this Holiday In Express. C.J.(Front Desk Supervisor) went over and beyond his duties to make my family and myself feel comfortable, relaxed and cared for in our time of sorrow, and when he wasnt there, Courtney, Nickie, Victoria, Hillary, and Ms.Gladys, continued to provide us with everything we needed to make our stay an enjoyable one. In the morning we was greeted by Kerin and Ms. Joyce whom we found was a new employee, but you would have never known the way she conducted herself and great personality. By sending this review, I truly hope that these individuals are recognize for such an outstanding job they did during my stay. Thank You
All contact w/hotel throughout reservation process was smooth. We checked in and were met with friendly faces and an eagerness to please. New, clean, spacious room with nice amenities. Did not get to try fitness center, business center or pool. Good breakfast w/lots of choices from coffee, yogurt, fruit, juice, hot or cold cereal, breads & pastries, pancakes, and omelets! Others in our group had some problems (unrelated to the hotel) and the entire staff showed a genuine concern and willingness to help. We only drove over from Tucker for a local wedding, but I would stay there again if the occasion warranted. I would recommend it.
My family and I stayed at this location for a family reunion. Unfortunately, they moved the location of reunion but we decided to stay where we were located because I thought it would be a newer cleaner facility. I personally cannot enjoy my stay at any hotel unless there is a certain level of cleanliness and updated furniture and fixtures. This is just my preference, so anyway the hotel and staff were great. The breakfast provided was always set up on time and staff was very courteous. If you needed anything, the staff provided it and the hotel was centrally located near a number of restaurants, Wal-Mart, and strip mall area about five miles down the road. Would I stay at this location? Definitely. As a Priority club member, we used points so I am not sure what the value would have been without the points but I am sure it would have been reasonable.
The Hotel is very clean and well maintained. The rooms are equipped with all the comforts of home, including a microwave oven, a mini fridge, and Keurig coffee machine with a small selection of coffee and tea. It was very easy to connect to the free WiFi. I was able to stream and watch Netflix and youtube videos without any slowdown. The shower was nice and had good presure. The breakfast served downstairs included, coffee, fruit, instant oatmeal, sausage and a pancake machine that made fresh pancakes on demand. They do have a pool but it was closed for the season. If I come back for the Summer I will review the pool. I will stay here again.
If you like a soft bed as I do, this is your place. They put some kind of super mattress topper on it or something. The hotel was recently remodeled, and it shows. Very nice and clean. The breakfast people did what they could with those eggs - I appreciate their putting out the little omelettes.
For the amount of money that I paid to stay in this hotel, the quality was less than expected. A lot less. The breakfast choices were few, the pool was not even open, and the room was uncomfortable. Furthermore, my wife had to call three separate times to make the reservation because each time she called she never got a confirmation email. As it turns out, each of the three staff members whom she talked to on the phone never even made the reservation, that is why there was never a confirmation email sent. While we were able to check in relatively smoothly, the checking-out was a whole different problem. Our deposit was never credited to our account, so we were charged an extra nights stay. Upon calling the hotel to see if we could get this credit back, we were told that they had no record of the deposit. So even though it did not show up on their records, it was on our credit card bill. In fact, it still is. And on top of that, the staff at the hotel did not recognize our Holiday Inn Express frequent stayer rewards club status. The staff has been extremely unhelpful in resolving the many issues that we have faced throughout our stay. The overall experience of this hotel, including customer service, amenities, and comfort, were all less than ideal. We will not be staying here again.
Online the location seemed to very nice...great location for me however the lack of professionalism was not so great. Our room was not cleaned not once in our entire 2 day stay, cleaning supplies were left in the bathroom however nothing was cleaned and we were told 3 or 4 times that they were understaffed. Other than that the parking was pretty good, the actual room was nice (no complaints there), the check in and out process was smooth and it never hurts to be a walk away from a Zaxbys!FYI no one acknowledged my birthday at the hotel even though I posted it on the reservation :(
The staff here were excellent upgraded me automatically to a suite and extended my check out time, the new trainee receptionist was brilliant and so friendly. The rooms were big and clean and the bed was very comfortable. the area is quiet but plenty of places to eat close by. The town of Austell has a large Walmart to for any shopping. The fitness room was great. Nice variety for the free buffet breakfast. Will definitely stay here again when in the area.
Very good hotel and close to restaurants, shopping malls, drug stores and grocery stores. Room is clean, comfortable bed, refrigerator, microwave, and keurig coffee machine. Bathroom is huge with Bath and Body Works products. Employees are friendly and accommodating. The breakfast offers many choices and is delicious. Close to expressways. Hotel fills up quickly, so make reservations as early as possible. Two times I was not able to make reservations due to a full house. The hotel is in the process of updating the area around the reservation desk. During my 3 days stay, the noise level was minimal and progress was evident on a daily basis.
What a great value. This facility has everything I look for in a hotel. Great service! From the minute I arrived. A Genuine welcome. Not the cursive hamburger joint greeting you so often get while someone is busy texting. Every staff member I met was courteous and professionalClean, quiet ,well appointed room,. I had the feeling of comfort and safety.Managers reception as nice or nicer than many of the big hotels chains.Did I mention all of this at a third of the cost of the larger hotels? And just so you know, I spend well over 100 nights per year in hotels. I will make this my go to hotel if in the area again.
The hotel itself is old and is past due for renovations. With all the work they need done, the hotel should be closed until finished. Entire lobby/ first floor is destroyed and the elevator was very sketchy. My room bathroom toilet only flushed after you held the handle down everything is flushed. Bed sheets old and nasty and I found cobb webs in the corners of my room. The rooms were so outdated I didnt even leave anything on the floor. Then on my last night I requested a late check out for myself and my crew, the hotel representative working that night was so rude. First off she is talking to us from behind the wall, and then when she finally came out she was not accommodating to our needs after a long 16 hour day. This was the worst Holiday Inn experience for me.
The staff was excellent. I have never stayed any where where EVERYONE was so friendly! Cynthia who worked the breakfast area was excellent - very cheerful and friendly, making sure that we had everything we needed. Everyone at the Registration Desk were also very cheerful and friendly and always greeted us when we were in the area. Everyone’s friendliness and cheerfulness seemed to be very genuine. Hats off to them and congratulations on the excellent customer service!
This was my home away from home for 3 weeks. The staff is AMAZING. Courtney and Ms. Gladys made me believe that customer service is not dead. The front office Manager, he was kind and informative. You can smell the cleaning supplies when you walk in, which means the property is clean. Very nice rooms.
Uncomfortable beds, no sound insulation, reluctantly flushing toilet and dirty shower floor. I understand times are difficult, but the hotel was not that busy and it is inexcusable to have rooms in that condition. Not at all the IHG experience I would typically expect.
My family and I checked in on Fathers day, after a long day at Six Flags. The Representative at the front desk was really nice, but had very little experience working on the computer. It took 25 minutes for check in. After bringing in our luggage, we all decided to take showers. The tub did not drain, and we ended up standing in the tub with water covering our ankles. The next morning we woke up to a fire alarm, I grab my girls and ran outside, no one was dressed. When I asked what was going on, they told us they were just checking the alarms. No apologies or anything! Had they told me at check in that we were not going to be able to rest, due to an alarm check, I probably would have chosen to stay somewhere else. The breakfast area was a wreck. There was biscuits crumbled on the floor, no fruit, no yogurt, no sugar, no creamer, no boiled eggs and luke warm coffee. Lastly, I went to iron my girls clothes, and the iron spit out black gooey stuff, that wouldnt come out the white shirt. I took the shirt to the front desk and showed the attendant, she looked at me and said shell send another iron. I told her my shirt was ruined, and she just stood there. I calmly walked away. I stay at a lot of hotels, and I have never experienced anything like this. I never write reviews, but I felt I HAD to. I picked this hotel after reading great reviews, only to be let down. I called and reported it to IHG, and they assured me they would contact the owners and let them know. I have yet to hear back from anyone. On our way out a lady asked us if we would give them a 10 on a review for the hotel, I could not believe it, I said NO! So I guess thats how they got such great reviews, I wish everyone would just be honest!
When wechecked in, I mentioned I was a light sleeper and asked if I could have a room on the top floor. People walking overhead kept me awake. Instead, I got the lower floor under the kitchen. It sounded like a stamped of elephants and thunder, sliding chairs and was awful. We changed hotels to Sleep Inn and Sueites. Excellent!
Restaurant area packed with people drinking and partying. NO ONE HAD ON A MASK!. Had to call Lobby to disperse party laughing and talking loudly in front of hotel that was disturbing us. The next morning I went down to get coffee at 5:30 am at the front desk. Clerk said I had to go get my mask! I informed her of 50-60 people in the restaurant drinking and partying last night and just give me coffee and I will go back to my room. Breakfast was a nightmare. The sausage, egg, cheese biscuit still frozen on the inside.
I have stayed in this hotel for a total of 6 weeks during the course of 2016. I have to say, this establishment has ALWAYS made me feel welcome and a valued guest. The front staff have always been helpful and respectful. During my last visit ,they even called me by my name as I walked in or out, which Ive never had happen. Most hotels, youre just a traveler. Here, they make you feel like a GUEST. The property itself has always been kept very clean and in great repair. Ive always stayed in the same room while here so I can not vouch for other rooms but it was always clean and orderly. Housekeeping does a great job! What keeps me coming back, time after time, are the employees. Thanks for making my stays pleasurable!
Reserved this room for my daughter and her husband for two nights. They told me the room and staff were great! Nice furnishings, good food at breakfast bar and nice location too! They felt that the hotel was new or newly renovated. Thanks for taking care of my family, maybe Ill have the chance to stay there myself someday.
The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was large with a bit higher sink than normal. I loved that since Im 66 tall. The staff were very freindly and the breakfast was always ready to go. This was a good experience for my wife and I. We stayed five nights and would come back upon our next visit.
I enjoyed my stay! The desk attendants and housekeepers were very friendly! I was able to rest. I wish the guest assistant was just as friendly as the front desk attendants! I love their vending machines and our room was very clean! This was my second time staying at this hotel! I highly recommend it to others!!!
We were coming to the Atlanta area for the long holiday week-end and had a hard time finding 2 rooms on short notice. Finally this Holiday Inn appeared on-line and met most of our requirements. After 4 days we were glad we hadnt had other options. This was a great location, very comfortable. Loved the sidewalks going both directions outside the hotel. Loved the diversity in the hotels breakfast bar. No complaints!
The overall experience was very good. I was surprised that the rate varied each night I stayed. I think the HIEs that have one rate are much easier for my expense reports. This reservation was made through a Travel Agent.I am Spire Elite at HIE and expect a little more I suppose. The fitness room had only cardio equipment so I was disappointed. Again the rate change by night is bothersome.Overall I would recommend and stay here again once the rate and fitness room are acceptable.
The staff and hotel were very welcoming. The night before we had encountered a horrible experience. This hotel saved us. We will surely stay there again and again. It is a bit pricey but for the comfort it provideded it was worth it. Our sister is in ICU Burn unit at Wellstar Cobb and we need to be near her as much as possible. She will be there for several months. We would love for the hotel to give us discounts due to our Situation if its possible and it doesnt have a pool in working condition nor does it have a hot tub but that would be my only negatives. Thank you all for helping us out in our time of need.
This hotel was beyond my expectations. From the staff to even the other guests that stayed there. The rooms are very clean as well as the bathroom. The beds were comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay. They have a small happy hour from 5pm til 7pm and the food choices were very good as well as the complimentary wine and beer. I do recommend this hotel and will be back very soon.
As soon as you walk in to the hotel the smell was wonderful. The staff was courteous. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and updated. The temp in the room was perfect. they had soccer tournaments going on but we didnt hear the children running around. Overall it was a great stay.
I stayed as a single. Only one washcloth was provided; I had to request more. My bathroom sink would not drain; I left a note in my room, but nothing was done. The breakfast was good, but the same choices were served daily. I was with family for a bereavement visit with others who live in the area. My other visiting family and I tried to visit with each other in the lounge after breakfast, but on TWO separate occasions we were literally “invaded” by another guest unknown to us who commandeered a chair at our table and proceeded to loudly converse with the attendant at the front desk. This was completely unacceptable. My step sister wondered at the loose rules of conduct for the hotel staff.
Everything was great. Clean room, great house keeping, professional staff. Even checking out was great. My family and I had no problem at all. What ever we needed the staff did their best to please. We enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn Express and Suite in Powder Spring Georgia. The only problem is how long this survey.
Ive stayed here many many times over the last several years when traveling on business in the area. Im required to stay within GSA Per Diem rates in order to be reimbursed my hotel fees. The GSA Per Diem rate is $121.00 for Cobb County, but when trying to book a stay there for the next two nights, they have chosen not to offer that rate any longer. Im disappointed, as I had to book another Holiday Inn in Kennesaw, which is not as convenient to my work location.
Hi Leslie,I wish your surveillance also recorded the conversation. I made it clear to your check in that we had a dog. The dog was coming later. It is your choice to believe what you would like. I had no interest in sneaking in a pet. I wouldnt want to disrupt my daughter by then having to move in that case. I explained the situation very clearly , your staff informed me of the rule and I even stated to your staff member so that means we cant stay and she explained that since it was an emergency she could make the exception. This is an error on the part of your staff and it is unacceotable fo you to assume that we snuck her in and to have spoken to us so harshly. Im just disappointed but hope there will better communication and better handling of such cases in a business of hospitality
My recent stay as I traveled from Florida to Indiana was excellent at this Holiday Inn Express. All the furnishings were lovely/updated, room was quiet so I slept soundly, bathroom was clean and nice. The breakfast provided was average (powdered eggs and the usual menu found in a chain hotel) but hot and appreciated. The front desk customer service was friendly and I like that I can apply this stay toward IHG points. Love Holiday Inn these days; much better experiences than when I traveled with family years ago!
The stay was decent as always. Clean room, friendly front desk at check in. Breakfast wasnt that great this time. Cold, low on most items when we were there. Even after the lady refilled the food it was still cold. I grabbed a yogurt and fruit to go instead of finishing breakfast. Check out wasnt as fast as normal which shocked me because everything was already handled and good to go. Clerk wasnt as friendly as we had at check in either. Over all decent stay and would stay again when in the area.
In town for a soccer tournament. This hotel was so close to our fields, which was great because it provided time to come back to the hotel and relax for a bit in between games. Beds and pillows were so comfortable...and we loved that the pillows were marked Firm or Soft. We divided them up based on our preferences and we all had a good nights sleep.
The friendly and helpful staff were the best. The room was a good value. Quiet area so noise is not a problem. Hot coffee seems to only be available in the morning, however. Generally a good experience. Will likely use this hotel again in the near future. 4/5 is primarily because of the nice staff.
I would not recommend this location loud noise, bugs and pancake machine was down. I also felt over charged. I have stayed at the Cobb Galleria and Kennesaw location and very much had a good stay, however this location on east/ west connector was not a good one. The front desk staff was polite however did not meet my accommodations . I am a gold member but did not get the 3rd floor upon request and the parking lot was almost empty so I know it was not full.
Upon entry, the Hotel is always fresh and clean. The floors shine, there is no dust and there is always a clean smell. The staff are very accomadating. The rooms are very large and roomy and so quiet and private. If you get a room around heavy traffic. tell them they will move you..The Lower level is total peace and silence.
I’ve stayed at this location numerous times because of the clean rooms and exceptional customer service. This visit was terrible. We requested a room on the top floor and was advised (by an uninterested check in clerk) there wouldn’t be a problem with the room assigned. We didn’t get any rest because the occupants above us were very loud and walked all night. For a remodeled hotel our bathroom was left out the bathtub was extremely stained and rusty.
My daughter was involved in a softball tournament in the area. I originally was going to drive home but the games went long and it got late. I decided to find a hotel for the night. I was able to locate the Holiday Day Inn. The room was bigger than I expected. Although there were things about the room that made it clear it was older, there was updated furniture and bedding. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I was very pleased with my stay.
There are not words to describe the cleanliness of my room and the attention to detail. It was perfect. I travel to this area frequently and they always make me feel like it is home away from home and almost better. The staff is extremely accommodating, friendly and professional. They also have a guest reception during the week to add an extra layer of relaxation to your stay there.
From check-in to checking out and all between every staff department made my experience very enjoyable. Very clean environment enhances such an experience. I want to apologize for 3 of my youth making noise which disturbed some of the other guests.I look forward to staying again. I do plan to visit Atlanta in the near future and wont mind staying outside of downtown for another great experience.
This was the nicest Holiday Inn Express I have ever stayed at. Everything from the lobby and public rooms to the guest bedroom and bathroom was updated and clean. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I was not able to enjoy the breakfast but the area was well organized. The only disappointment was the fitness center - it was the same as the other HIE I have stayed at - very basic cardio equipment.
The housekeeping for this hotel was very poor. Our bed sheets had not been changed from the previous guest There were hairs all in the bed and on the pillows. There were also make up smears all over the bed sheets. Were not able to walk around on room floor (carpet) without shoes on due to the extremely sticky floors. The AC smelt of smoke when turned on and this was a non smoking room. The front desk did provide us with clean sheets in a very timely manner. Upon check out, going by the front desk to load the car, no one was at the counter to check out. We loaded and come back in to still not find anyone at the check out counter. Left keys on the counter and made our way out. The little communication we had with the staff was courteous.
I had to reserve a few nights due to last minute plans from bad odors from stain paint on refinished hardwood floor projects.Check in @ front desk with very helpful, Tasha?Clean room.No honey for green tea after checking in. Good breakfast. Glad it had veggie omelette for breakfast. We observed a breakfast female worker watching over 2 teenagers like 12 to 14 years old to help themselves on second breakfast trips on Friday am. But next morning on Saturday am, different breakfast worker was much better & not watch over others for their second trips.Noticed breakfast foods were limited with few numbers like instant grits, instant oatmeal . Not like other hotels from states refilled full stocks of instant grits, oatmeal, etc.....those chairs were too heavy to move to sit.AC worked fine during day time but not working well overnight. too warm to sleep in that room.Awesome spacious bathroom, enough room for 2 adults to use in the bathroom.Different front desk, a female worker, cud not see her name tag due to her long brown hair covering her name tag. She was not friendly. She was there like after 7am or 7:30am. Only one @ front desk was not friendly during our stays. The reason, we chose this hotel due to no smoking hotel & no pets allowing. We cud not stand smelling cigarette odors plus he had a mild copd. Allergy to dog fleas. Also, afraid of dogs.
The place was under construction when we stayed which was a little inconvenient but overall the stay was nice. The place is big, the rooms are quiet, good sized with good sized bathrooms. The customer service was really good and I like that the place was off the main road a bit so you didnt have to listen to cars go by or anything like that.
I e been to this hotel at least four times during the redo. I had no problems with it until my recent stay. The construction started in earnest at 8 am and made it impossible to sleep any more. The quality of the breakfast has declined. The omelettes are rubbery with a strange flavor. However, the cinnamon rolls are still great.
The hotel had comfortable beds, The staff was courteous and very helpful. I will stay at any Holiday Inn because of the good service. My son stayed at the same hotel and his room was very nice also. Usually I dont sleep very well in a different bed, but your bed was nice and cozy. The showers was easy to use, and the bathroom was were nice and clean. When I come back to Atlanta, I ll make sure I stay at the Holiday Inn Express.
My husband and I stayed in this hotel based on the recommendation of a nearby Surgery where I had gone for a surgical procedure from out of town. We checked in 2 days before the operation and spent 11 days in the hotel altogether, including post-op and follow-up visits. Our room was very clean and had a king size bed with modern amenities. The staff were super friendly and very helpful and the general atmosphere in the hotel was peaceful and relaxing. We had a comfortable stay and enjoyed walking to the Walt Mart located about 10 minutes walk from the hotel though there were hardly any other person walking. I will definitely recommend he hotel
The room was comfortable and just the right size for my purposes. Beds were comfortable. Wasnt a great view out the window but I didnt come for that. We ended up asking a lot of questions as we couldnt find the guest room book. We later found it. But the staff was tolerant of our questions.I would use Holiday Inn Express again.
This was my first stay at this hotel, but likely wont be my last. I make semi-regular trips to the Atlanta area, and until recently I had a hotel I usually stayed at, but decided to give another IHG property a try. Im glad I did.The hotel feels newer than the other one that I stayed at, and more modern. I also liked that it wasnt on a busy road and that it was super quiet.I was impressed with the size of the room I was given. It was very large. Im pretty sure that I was given a complimentary upgrade to a King suite.Overall I was very impressed with the hotel and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. I can definitely say that I will go back next time I am in the Atlanta area. The only small, admittedly insignificant, thing that I will say is that I had to ask to be given the 500 bonus welcome points being a Spire Elite member. In all fairness I checked in very late at night, and very well could have caught the front desk clerk off guard. I asked the next day and it was taken care of immediately. Alls well that ends well!
I made the mistake of booking through a third party website for a three night stay. After I submitted my reservation, I found out that it could not be changed. As it would turn out, I only needed to stay for two nights and I was hoping that the General Manager would be helpful because my confirmation email stated the following per the third party website:Please note, if cancelled, modified or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. It also said this after the previous statement:Any cancellation or modification fees are determined by the property. You will pay any additional costs to the property. This led me to hope that maybe it was not set in stone, and that there would be some leeway. At first, I asked for a refund which I knew would likely be shot down, and it was. Next, I asked for the third nights stay to be transferred to a future a visit because I will be back in town and that was also shot down. The GM started to read the cancellation policy which I took as an insult to my intelligence and at that point the conversation was over. I then told the GM that I was checking out early regardless and I needed the number to Guest Relations so I could start working with them. She neglected to check me out of the room at 8:00am when I left the hotel. Shame on me for not verifying and getting a receipt. It dawned on me when I was almost home, that I probably was not checked out of the hotel. I called and spoke with the GM and had her check me out because I just knew that I needed to prove that I did not stay at the hotel for that third night. As a result, I did not get checked out of my room until after the check out time of 11:00am, and for this reason, the hotel will not help me.This is according to the senior case manager who tried to help me resolve this issue. Shame on me for using a third party website, but shame on the GM for her unwillingness to compromise. She was more focused on getting the money for one nights stay and providing poor customer service when she could have chosen to work with me. Had she made what I feel is the right decision, her hotel would have received double the money from me because I would have stayed there again. As a result, I will not be staying at another Holiday Inn. My money will go to a hotel with better business practices and ethics. The hotel also maintains that I was to be billed by the third party website so they could not help me, but this is not the case. My card was billed by Holiday Inn.
After arriving there from a long drive which was rather unpleasant, we found the room and particularly the beds to be very comfortable. We stayed in a suite so the room was a good size and my family and I slept well. Room and surrounding area was quiet as well which is what we had hoped for. The staff at the breakfast area was wonderful as well.
Was visiting for Christmas Holidays, chose this hotel as I have stayed here 2 previous times. The rooms are comfy and roomy. The fitness center is very basic, with only 3 machines, but was enough to get the job done. The breakfast was a little cold if you get there after 9am, but the wait staff are very friendly.Only issue I had was my bathroom, the faucet literally was not glued down to the sink, still operational but still annoying.
My home was not ready to be moved into and I had to find a stay for the weekend. Holiday Inn Express to the rescue, as normal. Room was clean, quiet, and I was able to work from the room on my laptop without being disconnected. I was surprised by the speed of the internet. I was able to relax, workout, they provided breakfast, and just eased my mind. The staff was polite and friendly, and made me feel welcome. Two very enthusiastic thumbs up.
Using the IHG app, I chose this location, where I have stayed previously. Previously, I was impressed with the staff and the facility. Understandably, they are currently under construction, so the hotel is getting a facelift. They have gone to great strides to keep the guests from being inconvenienced and this really had little effect on me. I stay here because of proximity to work I have in the area. My App Account had been hacked, my reservation was lost and the guaranteed rate I had booked for went up $12 per night, or so the night auditor told me. There was no offer to honor the rate that they advertised when I booked originally. BUT, then I get my bill on the last day of my stay and the rate I was told went UP $17, without explanation. I am on business and I am given a travel budget, so at midnight, I have no argument after being on the road 7 hours. Given the inconvenience I experienced, there should have been some effort to keep my business, but instead I was punished twice. The night auditor either chose not to make the effort or was not given the latitude to do the right thing when he clearly knew I had been treated wrong by the IHG App representatives, acting like there was no connection between them and the hotel group they represented. This is no way to treat a regular guest and I got no points for booking on top of it!
As natives of the Cobb County area but now living elsewhere, we werent sure where to stay for an overnight trip to the area. We decided on HI Express. We were very pleased with the room, which was clean and spacious. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We did not eat breakfast there as we missed it. We have had breakfast in other HI Express locations and they were very good so no reason to think this one wasnt. We felt very safe on the property. Our room was at the end of the hall on the back and it was extremely quiet. We were very pleased.Should we be in the area again we will not hesitate at all about staying there. The location is convenient for us as our family is in that general area.
My experience has been wonderful. I have just started a new job that will have me traveling often. After the way the staff has treated me with kindness and respect, I will most definitely look for an IHG hotel first in whatever city my job takes me next. The homely atmosphere the hotel creates make it a little easier being away from home. I cant say enough about the staff and services and am greatful for IHG for that. Thank you!!!
I only spent time at the hotel to sleep. The stay itself was rather pleasant with no problems. The issue occurred after checking out. My card was initially charged 2 separate charges that exceeded the total amount of the hotel stay by approximately $50. (not an immediate issue). After about 3-4 days, the full amount posted to my account but one of the partial charges were still pending. I already had a deduction scheduled to come out so the charge caused an overdraft.I contacted the hotel to see how long it would take the charge to fall off. I initially spoke to a clerk who was nice but at some point during the call, the desk manager took over the call (I did not request). The desk manager was not empathetic to my concerns and told me that it was the banks fault and not the hotels. She then proceeded to tell me that her personal bank processes charges immediately. When I told her that did not help my situation she began to talk over me. At one point she spoke over me and said thank you have a nice day. I then asked for her manager at which point she told me that she was the manager. When I insisted that she had a superior she told me she did not. I think her name was Trina. I did not appreciate being told that the hotel did not have anything to do with the issue. At no time was it disclosed that there would be two charges exceeding the price of the hotel that would be charged to my account. To be honest, a simple sorry for the mix up when I called would have satisfied me. The way that the situation was handled left a bad taste in my mouth and makes me not want to do business with this hotel in the future.
Staff was friendly and efficient. Rooms were clean and bed comfortable. A second chair with lamp in the room would have been helpful. Biggest complaint was at breakfast where choices were limited (for example, no danish or hard boiled eggs); eggs were tasteless and bacon greasy. Having stayed at peer motels, this Holiday Inn Express ranked below them at breakfast and with amenities like all day coffee or fruit.
Highly recommend this location. They have a nice staff and we’re ready and available, although I arrived after midnight. Convenient location. I did not stay for breakfast, although it was an option. I definitely would like to return to this location in the near future.
My son and I came up to attend my fathers funeral the night ahead. The room was comfortable, staff was friendly. The only issue I had was finding lit parking at night when I arrived. There were no available parking spots available...due do the multiple vans and trucks triple and quadruple parked with their trailers. I made the staff available my son and I didnt have anywhere safe to park. She stated it would be reviewed.
We stayed in a spacious king suite which was nice and clean. The bed was a little on the uncomfortable side, and the shower head did not have great water pressure. However, the hotel is in a nice, new area with good dining options nearby, and the hotel staff is very polite. Would definitely stay again.
We arrived from our travels to check in and we received our keys to arrive at the room to find that the room had not been cleaned. The manager apologized and gave us a $20 gift card and asked if we could wait about 30 minutes for them to clean the room. We waited for a 1.5 hours and finally I had went back to the room to check to see if it was done and it was not. I approached the front desk again and the manager sent someone up to check and 10 minutes later the room was ready. We went inside and I found out that the room size was not what I was hoping it was. We were travelling as a family of 5. They gave us a standard size room with 2 full size bed and a chair. I went back down to inquire what happened and she stated that it came over as a standard room and not a suite. At this point, I was frustrated and tired and went back to lay down. As I walk to the bed, I noticed that my socks were soaking wet near the bed where the AC is located. I put my shoes back on to discuss the issues with the AC. The front desk person stated that the pipes must have frozen on the unit and leaked out, so she sent someone upstairs to lay towels down. The AC continued to leak and the smell of wet water was all over the room. They never followed up on the room. The next day we get up for breakfast and it was being served by a person who I guess was having a bad day. The tables were not wiped down and she would never smile or even say good morning unless you said it to her. Furthermore, they ran out of food and then started putting the food up early. I will never stay here again. I am so disappointed with my service that I may stop going to Holiday Inns and cancell if possible my membership.
The hotel is typical Holiday Inn Express. There was an issue with a large red stain on the carpet. I did not investigate as to what it was, but it should be addressed. The bed was too soft for me, this is not typical of the HIE brand. The room seemed to have been painted and was otherwise in great condition. There were USB ports and outlets on the lamp base between the beds. This is great as there was no need for me to search for outlets for my medical device or phone. I would stay here again.
The staff here is very friendly, helpful and accommodating. I just recently returned back from Afghanistan and I needed a place where i could keep my 5 and 6 year old daughters while their mother traveled on a business trip for a week. They LOVE staying at hotels and due to me not having my own place yet, this Holiday Inn Express was perfect. Very clean and the facilities has everything you need. Washer and Dryer, Workout room, Breakfast, Pool and an Office with computers and printers. They even pop popcorn and serve lemonade every night in the lobby! The girls loved it. I loved it.
I travel through Atlatna about 4-6 times a year and have a demanding schedule when I am on the road. I have to have flexibility while traveling and Holiday Inn Express never lets me down. The staff at this location are friendly and made sure that my manager and I had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Due to an unexpected change in our travel plans, we had to change our reservation and without hesitation the team at Holiday Inn Express took great care to ensure our accomodations were just what we needed. I would highly recommend this location to anyone that travels through the area, no matter the reason, but for business they took great care of us. Very pleased and look forward to staying here again when travel brings me back to the Atlanta area.

2022-05-31Listen, everyone has good days and bad and when you deal with short trysts ala Pretty woman every encounter will be different.Me, I went full Sugar daddy on this place and spent 2 months here. When I started our nightly rendezvous I was but a mere Wood 5 member. At the end of our short-but-sweet relationship and I became a Gold 1 man. Thats to say, I stayed here...a lot. These folks are Excellent, sure mistakes happen but overall they hustled hard to get everyone situated, accommodated, and sometimes inebriated. The GM is one of the hardest working personnel Ive ever met and the staff is incredibly friendly and hard working! They try their best to make sure stuff gets done so if they cant make it happen, there is a reason. Please be patient, you will live longer. They are especially accommodating for traveling workers and they love us Nurses! Is there a cheaper place to stay? Maybe, but they made sure I came back every time.If Im ever in the area for any length of time, Ill give you one guess on where Ill be staying, cause thats all you will need!

2022-06-26For hotels in this category, this one does well. The appearance is relatively fresh and modern. The rooms have been updated and have such amenities as USB chargers scattered about. The one thing that needs upgrading is the air conditioning system. The unit in the room is unreasonably loud when it kicks in. Beyond that, the room was good. The included breakfast rotates daily and includes something for nearly everyone. The overall setting is clean and pleasant and I recommend it for someone looking for something in this category and in this neighborhood.

2022-04-27The hotel was very comfortable. The staff were welcoming, warm, efficient and professional. Breakfast was good, although the location of the coffee seemed odd, as it was well separated from the food. Also, the coffee preparation area did not have much room to work.

2022-01-28FYI, I stayed here 3 nights due to an emergency situation and the place was average. The staff was courteous and professional. In the end why I gave one star was the fact that on my final day I requested a late checkout and was promptly advised that any late checkout was $25 per hour with a maximum of 2 hours and was it okay to add that charge to my bill. Really?.... I rejected the offer and found somewhere else to kill 2 hours for FREE. I would never ever again state that I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express

2022-04-06We asked for extra towels/rags and was told we had to wait an hour and half for them. At the point, I went to the local Ross around the corner to buy some. We had 3 people in the room and only 2 towels. There were ants in the room and one was crawling on my face while I was sleeping. Great location, bad experience staying there.

2022-03-06I was going to rent a room here, but my pregnant wife needed to use the restroom while I checked us in. The restroom was locked so I went to the front desk and asked for the key. She said was I a guest and I said not yet, so she said I couldn’t let my wife use the public restroom there. I said, I’m checking in. She still said she can’t until I checked in first. We’re going somewhere else. I don’t care how good it’s ranked. No humanity.

2021-10-26The location was convenient to restaurants, roadways and the education facilities that we were using. Staff was very friendly, courteous and helpful. Breakfast was very good and a good variety. The lady working at the breakfast staff was very helpful and incredibly pleasant. The rooms were clean, comfortable and well furnished. Noise was very low to none. The pool and workout area are well maintained. Thanks for a great stay during an intense week!

2022-01-15The hotel is fine. The reason theyre getting a one-star review is that I needed to cancel on the day of the reservation, which Ill admit was after the cancellation deadline, because the family member for whom I purchased this room has a contagious disease. I didnt find out until after the cancellation deadline. In the age of covid, they should have made an exception. This just proves Holiday Inn is one more business that puts profits ahead of people. I wont use this business again because of their lack of ethics, not because of room quality.

2021-12-02Its location is a bit odd. Its behind a shopping center. So one side of the hotel your view is of the back of it. Other then that its clean. They offer breakfast. The front desk was super nice and if you check in at night time they give you two beers and a bar of soap. Do not check in early! There is a charge. I was charged $30 and the other person I was meeting up for work was going to be charged $75. Obviously, he didnt check in. I guess this is something new.
