Holiday Inn Express Marietta - Atlanta Northwest, an IHG Hotel in Marietta
Categories
Location on the map
Marietta, Cobb County, Georgia, US
The hotel is totally dirty 👎🏽 and old.The bathroom door was broken, the toilet not clean, all carpets are with stains and bad odor. The only furniture clean was the bed.The room was so stinky, horrible smell.I feel sorry for the people who works here, the whole building is in horrible shape!!
This was my worst hotel stay in many years. The hotel was undergoing remodeling in some of the common areas and they were in dirty and unpleasant. AND, other common areas that were not being remodeled were also exceptionally dirty and unheated. My room was also dirty and a piece of the bathroom vanity was coming apart. I took pictures and can provide them. The bathroom did not have an exhaust. The room was quite stuffy. What a horrible place.
This is definitely the worse Holiday Inn I have been in 30+ years of travel. Outdated, dirty, falling appart. The bathroom had stains, yellow stains kinda fresh, totally unacceptable. It will need to be a real emergency if I pick another IHG hotel in the future, beyond disappointed.
Positive: Location.... Negative: The staffmembernot helpful at all.I had my hands full asked him for extra pillows instead of carrying them to the room he tputs them n my full handsi asked him for a remote that turnsthe TVvolume up and down he gives me batteries.Bfast low budgetplugsinop
This hotel was NOT what I would expect from a Holiday Inn hotel. It was old and dated which they were in process of redoing, I get that but it was dirty and not in a very nice location. The beds were extremely small and uncomfortable and overall not clean and dingy. I would have packed up and left if it wasnt so late at night when we arrived.
We stayed here on May 1st 2022. They should not have taken our reservation as they are renovating. Our 5th floor hallway was cluttered with boxes & dust. One guest on our floor had their water turned off & had to be moved. The main floor was in the midst of renovation too. This does not reflect well on your brand. We always stay at HIE when we are on the road & have for many yrs. Very disappointing. We will reconsider our choices in the future.
Requires a lot more attention than what it’s currently getting to fix issues. Drain in bathroom is slow allowing water to build up to the brim, a/c unit turned on/off frequently not keeping the room at a consistent temperature and the breakfast is sub par (overcooked food).
Wouldn’t recommend this hotel, the front desk worker robert was veryyyy rude and unprofessional. he wasn’t accommodating and refused to allow us to get a room, due to me asking why my number was needed(not sure if it was for email lists or advertisements … or for the room reservation itself). he had a line up of people at the door and brushed everyone off. he made the company itself look bad. wouldn’t recommend at all!
I dont know weather to recommend or not this property. They are under construction and the property was dusty, disorganized and was not the best experience. I really think the cost of the room was high for the condition of the hotel. Maybe after construction is done it will return to the standard of the IHG chain.
Friendly welcome and very helpful staff. Quick check-in process upon arrival. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Great location and easy access from the interstate. Breakfast looked great even though we did not eat there. It was very clean and felt it was a safe area. We would stay at this location again.
This site should be closed. VERY UNCLEAN, falling apart, mold throughout. Carpets bulging and tore up and wall paper falling off the walls. Staff not able to log into computers or help guests. Room not ready even with a 4:30 check in. When leaving my husband referred to it as a Rat trap.
My stay was because the Sep 7 rains in Marietta, GA. Since my son, that is handicap and I arrived to the property, the service was excellent. I stayed during Hune 2021 in the Newington, CT property, but this time, the service was excellent. At our arrival, the desk person treated us like kings. Even he escorted to our room. The handicap bathroom was better than I expected, but super very clean. The room service lady, kept our room super clean. The breakfast was super good!!! I do not have any complain about our stay.
Every thing was great with the exceptions of the night shift older lady(no name tag), was very rude. The other staff made up the difference. The young man at check in was very informative. The room was really clean. Housekeeper walked into the room unannounced and backed out singing sorry, sorry I was a stayover and had not requested any service.
Overall hotel is in need of updates/deep cleaning. Although not disappointed, for the rate paid there was an expectation of more. Also troubling that rate automatically goes up by $50 for Fri/Sat stay when you had been in the exact same room for Wed/Thur--nothing different or extra simply based on day of week. Although a frequent traveler, I have experienced better for less. I would NOT recommend this hotel due to price. Much newer/nicer hotels in immediate area which are priced less.
We had a clean, comfortable room in which everything worked. The parking lot was well illuminated which was good as we had a mini van loaded with expensive household items. The breakfast was not available at the time they promised. There was essentially nothing available aside from some rubbery remnants of scrambled eggs melded to the sides of the metal pan. The coffee was not fit for human consumption; it was bitter and sour. Overall we would recommend this location if you get your breakfast elsewhere.
This has got to be the worst Holiday Inn express I have ever been to. We reserved a king non-accessable room. when we for there they only had one accessible room which was fine we could deal with that. what we couldnt deal with was when we got to that room it was filthy! big cracks in bathroom door. and then water ran out of tub. not just a drip, a constant run which would make it hard to sleep AND the toilet wouldnt flush!! the tank was completely empty! when we called front desk her reply was that all she could do was move us to a double bed room that maintenence was gone for the night. ( I had just seen him in lobby with ladder) so glad we only stayed 1 night because we definitely would have switched to somewhere else if not!
Driving through and stayed in Marietta before. Booked a king and got 2 doubles. The shower was noisy and I mean ear piercing noisy. Food was decent, but got the cheese omlette but was missing the cheese. Thought it was one but the wife found the same thing with hers. Decent stay but compared to the holiday Inn express I stayed in the night before it was poor.
Excellent service at the front desk. I’m literally typing this at 3am laying on a makeshift floor pallet with the couch cushions on the floor. The beds are hard as a rock. The backup would be the sofa bed right. I have bruises on my ribs from the springs poking through. Please do not stay here. Even as a last resort. I almost want to stand out front and warn people lol it’s rough. I’ve never been so frustrated not being able to sleep :(
We stayed here 7/14-7/20, 2021 for a baseball tournament. The hotel is definitely older, and wear and tear is evident everywhere but the main lobby. Our room was comfortable, with a chair and ottoman, desk, and another chair along with the 2 double beds. The main issue I had was that you only get housekeeping to clean the room on request. Then, you must request a full clean or just towels and trash. I asked on 3 consecutive days for the room to be cleaned anytime between 8:00 a.m. and noon, and it never was. We did get towels twice, once because they showed up to clean at 3:30 when all three of us were in the room, and once because we took them off the cart in the hall. They never came in to take the trash - we started putting the full cans in the hallway and they would empty them at some point. I know this is probably a COVID thing, but when you are in a room for 6 nights, you expect it to be cleaned at some point.
Positive: Nothing, at the end of the night we were just too tired to find another hotel Negative: They were doing construction, which was fine, but the staff were too busy talking to the crew instead of helping, our keys did not work and we stood around for ten minutes waiting for help, the floor was dirty and the bathroom faucet leaked pretty bad
I was very pleased with my stay. I felt very comfortable as well as feeling very safe. My room was very clean and very comfortable. Now as far as breakfast goes, it was excellent for what they provided. Now keep in mind covid so the breakfast was great. The staff was extremely helpful. In fact this is my second stay here thats how much I liked this hotel.
The place was a mess. Skin deep it looked fine. But there was a smell in the halls as they had unplugged the AC units in there so no circulating air. You could see where repair work was done as it was half assed. The bathroom had a hole in the ceiling about the shower head from previous water damage, so I would not be surprised if there was mold too. The gym was not cleaned in forever you could find cobwebs in the not so common areas and the ac was left off so you had to start the workout sweating before you worked out. And I did not know they had a breakfast covid policy that took all the hot food away. Main reason I stay at the express because usually decent hot food. But I get it and I dont. Like could have at least left the pancake machine out. I can understand the buffet style served hot food.
When I pulled the covers back to my bed the first thing I noticed was that there was A LOT of hair in the bed. Not simply one strand (which is still too much) but MANY strands of hair. It made me wonder if the sheets were actually changed or if the bed was just remade. I complained and was given another room. In the second room, 2 of the 4 lamps did not work. I didnt complain, because at least there was no hair. About 30 mins after being in the room, someone tried to come into the room with a key card and without knocking. When I addressed the person, they said they were from maintenance and DEMANDED to come into the room due to a water leak coming from my room. Scared, I refused to let him in. And we had back and forth yelling about why he could not come into my room. I checked out the next morning. Needless to say, this will be my last time staying at an IHG Hotel. The woman at the front desk was extremely kind. She should be recognized for that.
This hotel is extremely close to Dobbins ARB and a bunch of restaurants within 2 miles, a few were just a few hundred feet. The bed was comfortable, the couch a little dated. The hotel itself looked like it needed some mandatory maintenance as their were open areas in the ceiling at the lobby and a few hallways on different floors. My room just had the carpets cleaned, but smelled a little like a wet dog, even though the carpets were dry.. I was told about this upon check-in and was told I could have a different room if I did not approve of that one. In short, I would still go back to this property, the staff are great.
We chose not to drive further to our original destination of the Holiday Inn Express in Dalton, GA, so we stopped here after a very long day in the car. The staff was very helpful to us, especially with an adjoining room for our elderly mother. The hotel was clean and they got the room ready in 15 min. after we called from the car. The hotel is not in the best neighborhood but not terrible. It needs some freshening up outside and a bit inside. The bathroom door needed to be replaced but the rooms and bathrooms were very clean. We did not eat at the hotel so I can not comment on that experience.
We only stayed the night while traveling and were confirmed a king bed but were told they had none she we arrived. Disappointed we had to take 2 double beds as it was too late to look for another hotel and this was not cancelable. Convenient off the highway and good breakfast selection with covid caution. Rooms and hotel was very dated but clean.
I normally have been delighted with my stays at Holiday Inn Express all over the country. I stopped at this location after driving for over 9 hours expecting the same high quality service as usual, but I was highly disappointed.Upon arrival, we immediately noticed spiderwebs in the room indicating it had not been properly cleaned, in addition to a used blanket balled up in the corner of the room. There was no smoke detector, there were multiple wires hanging out of the hole where it was supposed to be. The bathroom toilet would not stop running the whole night. The bathroom door wouldn’t close properly. The tv remote would not work - there were corroded batteries. The refrigerator would not work properly to control the temperature, and the light in the entry way did not turn on. The three items we purchased from the vending machine were over three months outdated. Overall, the quality of the hotel was very poor, the standards we were used to with Holiday Inn Express were nowhere near being met. The staff was ineffective with their halfhearted attempts at meeting our needs. There was no discount or any other form of compensation for our less than acceptable stay. I would hope that with future guests, the hotel staff will be more aware of the quality of the experience they are offering.
Worst hotel We have ever stayed at we travel allot wont make this mistake again. Mold in bathroom lights in room didn’t work writing on elevator door the whole hotel smelt like smoke. system problem when we checked in front desk worker was on tech support had to stand there for 30 mins before we could check in the list goes on would have rather slept in my car you couldnt pay me to stay there again.
Not worth the price. You can find a much better place for a lot less. We spent 220 for one night and it was horrible. The room smelled like someone brought pool water and dumped it on the carpet. The room decor was like a flashback. The mini fridge made a loud clanging noise. I should have gotten my money back. There was no conditioner in the shower and very little shampoo. The hand lotion smells horrible. Please go somewhere else for this price.
Hotel seems a little run down. Had to switch rooms because the outlet went out for the microwave and then the tv went out. The room I got switched too had a musty smell that honestly I just put up with. Breakfast was disappointing because it wasn’t a warm breakfast and there were no cinnamon rolls as advertised and the coffee wasn’t great either. The staff however was friendly and working with them was smooth.
Overnight stop while traveling. Price was equal to the condition of the rooms. Couch in room had stains all over it. Huge bright lights shining direct in window. Unable to block light and felt like daylight in room. Bathroom door had paint peeling off. Towels were stored under sink vanity within 6 to 8”of toilet seat. Didn’t feel that room had been properly sanitized.
Great service - it was a pleasure staying at this hotel. It was a nice hotel with excellent customer service. They were friendly and polite. Breakfast was available and the coffee was ok. Overall the experience was brilliant and enjoyed our stay. I will definitely stay there again.
My brother and 2 nephews were traveling through on their way back to FL. He said the room was nice but neighbors were loud and the bathroom light flickered aloft. Overall it was just what they needed for a quick rest on their drive back. Front desk was extremely helpful when I called to verify the reservation I made in my name. She ensured a smooth check in for them.
This is a very clean, comfortable motel with the added bonus of having superior desk personnel. Check in was smooth, but what I really appreciated was that I needed an hour check-out extension for a Zoom meeting, and I didn’t get any hassle when I asked about it. He even printed out a document that I needed. This was huge for me and much-appreciated. I felt valued and would definitely stay here again.
The front desk manager, Chris, was very personable, and helpful. The hotel wasnt as clean as you would hope.Bathroom walls had soap or some sort of spray on the walls. The sink did not drain properly. The hotel carpet is getting old and needs replaced. The hotel doesnt seem to be that old, but seems to be showing some wer.
Room was about $130.The rug was threadbare, sticky and filthy. The tub had green/black mold around the shower/tub selector, the frame on the sink was damaged and left that way. I have pictures.Would anyone use that tub, or walk on that rug? Or stay there? The room needs thorough cleaning and updating.Want to see the pictures? Shameful.
I booked a room for other people to stay for a business trip. Other hotels made it impossible to do this, but this one actually had employees who knew how to do it. I tried at other places and was on the phone for hours trying to book a room. I had to cancel and change bookings several times until this one. I understand them trying to be safe and not accept a card over the phone or a card from someone not staying, but there should be a way and employees should know how to do it. This was the only hotel in the area that could get it done.
Well breakfast bar wasn’t great. Staff didn’t service room during 4 day visit. Any service you want you have to request at check in. This should have been mentioned at check in. Loud people in hallway in middle of the night. 2 out of 3 bathroom lights not working when I arrived. Light fixture at about a 10 degree angle. Shower rod barely attached. A/C would run but would not go to setting you enter.
This is our hotel of choice when taking trips. We have never been disappointed. Hotels are always clean and comfortable. The breakfast is wonderful and a great way to start the day!I especially like that they have the Hallmark channel. Some other hotel chains dont and it is disappointing especially during the holidays. You cant get a better stay for a wonderful price! Keep up the good work and dont change anything!
This hotel needs to be renovated, needs more knowledgeable workers, my room still had food from the previous guess under bed and beside dresser. I had to continuously ask for trash bags and towels. The beds had stains from previous guest. A guest from a another room cursed me and my sisters out at 5 am and the front desk personnel did nothing about it. Horrible stay. Wouldn’t recommend.
Looking for a clean place to sleep, I found it to be also quiet and comfortable. There was a nice coffee maker in the room but no coffee. Erin at the Front Desk was very helpful, providing toiletry items needed and allowing me to borrow her phone charger.Work was being done as drywall repairs were pending roof repairs.
First -- front desk people were awesome and great at their job. The common areas and rooms were clean and well equipped. That said, there were problems. Our bathroom wall had white specks (toothpaste? paint?) all over it. The sink was badly cracked as was our window. The elevator on our end of the hallway quit working when we were there. We were not stuck in it - it just would not respond to buttons and went nowhere. We had to go to the other side of the building and use that elevator. The parking lot is tiny with very narrow slots for parking. Our Nissan Murano is a smaller, sedan based vehicle and it had just a few inches to spare. Parking beside big pickups was unnerving. And breakfast was quite a disappointment. We stayed in a Holiday Inn Express the week before and had a hot breakfast with lots of variety. At this hotel, you are limited to packaged muffins and cereal.
This place has a lot of problems and issues. The rooms are old and atiquated, seriously the bathroom door had a rusted door stop from the 50s, broken counter with sharp edges in the bathroom. The mattress was old , lumpy and hard. There was trash bags piled up by the entrances and in the bushes both days we were there. The breakfast was so bare and unattended both days and when I asked the rude clerk, they just said covid, so its that bad everyday, I didnt expect much since when they checked me in they acted like I was a bother to them. There are no USB chargers in the rooms. No vent in the bathroom. Worst of all no housekeeping or room cleaning due to staff issues. So you have to beg for extra or clean towels. Its old, trashy, unkept, and personnel are rude, go somewhere else.
I reviewed this hotel 2 years ago and noted that it’s just an ‘okay’ HIE. I still feel that way. We checked in after a late ballgame and the front desk staff was nice and the lobby and room were clean. The hotel just needs to be updated and repaired (which the owner stated in the previous reply was being done… but nothing noticeable has changed in the last 2 years). Our bathroom door wouldn’t close properly, the tub had a rust spot, the faucet squealed and the overall decor is dated. The location is excellent for a post Braves game stay and there are some fast food options nearby. Good enough for a night.
Front desk clerk was unfriendly upon arrival. The window in our room was wide open when we walked in, so the room was very warm. The mattress was TERRIBLE, to the point of discomfort and hard to sleep on. The wiring in the room was such that the overhead light had to be on, in order for the bedside outlets to work, to charge phones. The cushions on the sofa were mismatched and did not fit. The light on the sofa table did not work. The hook on the bathroom door was broken and we had nowhere to hang towels.
Do not stay at this hotel yall! Rooms are severely outdated which makes the room uninviting. There was a few questionable white stains on the curtains and when moving the curtain to look out the window, there were brown stains, like what is really going on?! Using the bathroom was ridiculous. Bottom of the door was damaged and it gets in the way of trying to use the toilet. The toilet is way too low! You may as well sit on the ground with how low it is. Shower head was hanging by a thread. Just all around this room was an inconvience. Will not be coming back
Bed was hard and the room smelled like weed. The front desk clerk was not friendly upon arrival. When I called back to the front desk to inform her the room smelled like weed she only said it was a non smoking hotel. She did not offer to make it right. We considered leaving but it was a busy holiday weekend and had problems finding another hotel.
The room was not clean. The carpets had not been vacuumed and there was a hair on the toilet seat and in the sink. Wood was peeling off the vanity in the bathroom. The entire room needs to be remodeled. The breakfast choices were little to nothing. I would not recommend this hotel.
I wish I could recommend this hotel to people, but after being told that I was going to get my money back for the room I shared with the roaches some weeks ago. But its funny the Management responded to my review that I left on here, but I have been calling them for the last 3 weeks for no one to return my call to get my money back.. I havent heard from anyone. Every time I call they say that management is not in and I would leave him a message on his desk so so youre telling me that management has not been to its property in 3 weeks.
Making a reservation was very easy during our mad dash home to see a hand surgeon after my husband injured himself during our 3 month stay in South Carolina. We both loved the comfortable king size bed and room. I needed to watch the Weather Channel to check the weather in iIllinois and thanks to Jamaica, a breakfast attendant , we found it and had a successful trip home.
Positive: The front desk clerk was friendly. The room looked neat although it smelled moldy during the night. Negative: I turned the air down because the room was a bit too cold for me. After awhile, the room smelled moldy/mildewy. I mentioned it to the housekeeper as I was leaving the room for the day.
Overall the hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. I chose this hotel based on the pictures of all the items of the hot breakfast on their web site. When I came down for breakfast, there were no warm items available. Apparently Covid cant stick to cold foods but will stick to warm foods. Seems backwards to me. If they want to make drastic changes to the menu, TAKE THE PICS OF THE WARM FOOD OFF THE WEBSITE!!!! Very misleading.I felt things could use more mechanical attention. Our refrigerator didnt work when we got to the room although they did swap it out quickly. The exhaust fan in the bathroom didnt work and it often smelled stale in there and no way to vent the steam or smells. There were also 4 partially dismantled AC units at the bottom of the stair well. Seems they were using it as their workshop. That probably should have been done in a non-public location. We wont be using this hotel again.*Update: After sharing my issues with someone at the front desk, they called up to my room and asked me to come to the desk with my debit card. I was thinking this meant they were going to give me a discount. When I got down there, they said they didnt charge me enough for my room and needed to run my card again. I was speechless!
This hotel was nasty I couldn’t even stay. I checked in and checked right back about. From the soiled couch to the torn wallpaper to the graffiti in the elevator. The hotel had a smell of old dirty mop water. This is a motel not hotel. Don’t waste your time. One note the front desk woman was very nice.
The lobby is nice but not an indicator of the room. The bathroom needed updating. The stopper was down and the faucet dripped leaving standing water that had molded. The bathmat got soaked. I had to put the mat in the tub to shower because the tub was so slick. The refrigerator was noisy. The beds were certainly not HIE quality. I would have told someone about the room, but there was no one at the desk when I checked out @ 7:30am
The rooms and common areas are impeccably clean. The staff is wonderful and welcoming. The young woman (Sammy) who checked me in was so kind and caring. This hotel does cost more than the other ones near by but it is so nice. I can not say enough good things about it.
Hotel is in a desperate need of renovation. graffiti / damage on elevator door. minimal food/ snacks no coffee day two. bed extremely uncomfortable so much light entering window it felt like daylight all night. definitely not the norm for our IHG stays bath door rotting from water damage.
I had a great stay. The room was very large clean and newly refurbished. The price was fantastic and service was friendly and prompt. Easy to find and close to so much. Paid 99 for a king size room on a Sat Night!!!.... fitness room was nice but small breakfast was ok. I would definitely recommend this place to stay.
Great location for the price. Excellent free breakfast. Staff are polite and kind. Had a problem with a back door not working that did not get resolved even after addressing with front desk a few times. The rooms are big, comfortable bed with very soft pillows. The bathroom however was small and dated with numerous patch holes and peeling wallpaper. A.c. unit barely worked and was loud. But overall experience was great. I stayed for 11 days, felt like at home.
THIS IS DEFINITELY NOT A 4 1/2 STAR HOTEL. We HAD to change rooms upon entering our room. There was a smell,, the sink had a huge crack in it, the paint was coming down in the bathroom, the table was scratched up bad AND THE COUCH WAS DIRTY. The young lady working was VERY SWEET. She came up and gave us new keys and I checked the new room before we went in. It was better but not by much. We will never stay here again
The hotel had a bad smell though out , the workers was not friend and didn’t speak when you walked in or out . The room also had a smell to it , the bath tub was dirty and the drain plug was broke . I went and bought my own stuff to clean the bathroom . The cops were there everyday for some reason . DONT STAY HERE
When we arrived we were greeted by a woman who despite the late hour was super cheerful and happy. She checked us in quickly and directed us to our room in an easy to follow manner, all while using a sweet humor to assure us she would be around to help us should we need or want her assistance. When we arrived in our room we quickly noted the cleanliness of the room and after a thorough inspection were delighted to find it was truly a clean room. We slept well in the super comfy king bed and both enjoyed a super hot and roomy shower. The shampoo, conditioner, and lotion smelled fantastic. At breakfast both days the same sweet attentive lady made sure the breakfast bar was full and we were satisfied. When we checked out it was quick and easy. No hassle.
We stayed at this location as they were recommended as a choice to choose from Kennastone Medical Center. My brother was having open heart surgey and since we were not from there, we needed a place to stay. The Staff we encountered were excellent and gave exceptional customer service. I have stayed at many Holiday Inn Express and Suites over the past 5 years with my Job, and I have to say I was not impressed with the rooms. There was not one queen size bed in the Hotel. So having 2 adults sharing a bed was very uncomfortable. The pillows needed to be replaced and I still question if the sheets were fresh. When we first pulled up to the Hotel, the outside looked nice so I thought Ok this looks good. But once inside I started questioning myself. Then once we opened the doors to the rooms, I was not impressed. There was a musky smell to the room and just did not have that clean smell. We had considered changing hotels, but not having any luck we stayed. We were only at the Hotel to sleep, as the other hours were spent at the Hospital.
The front desk attendant was very pleasant. Our room was on the 5th floor away from two student groups that were also staying making it quiet and cozy. Breakfast was good. I was happy to see the choice of turkey sausage. I do not eat pork, so it was a welcomed surprise. My only complaint is that the internet buffered quite a bit, and I would have liked to made the room a little cooler. Aside from that, the location was close to restaurants and other attractions. I would definitely recommend this hotel!!
Housekeepers was very nice and helpful and keep the hotel was very clean. This location does not have a pool, so be mindful when booking. This property is worn with leaks around air conditioner units, torn carpet, torn chairs, peeling wall paper and paint. The hotel is in the process of replacing toilets (pallet of toilets sat in lobby) and my room had a new replacement but was not properly installed and it rocked. The hotel is in a good location and easy access to many nearby attractions.
I have been a rewards member for 9+ years and I only stay at HIE whenever I travel or am on vacation. When it comes to the general cleanliness and over all condition of this hotel: lobby, eating area, halls and room everything was as I am used to. The appearance of the room was great; furniture was new and arranged nice, bathroom vanity was new and updated. I did notice the mini fridge was older, but it seemed to be working but we didnt need to use it this time around. The bathroom was also a little tight, so only one person at a time could be at the sink. Really none of that is a problem. What I am seriously unimpressed with is the mattress!!!! This was by far the worst mattress I have Ever slept on in all my HIE stays!!! I havent slept on a mattress this hard and uncomfortable since before pillowtops and foam mattresses toppers - which there was neither on this mattress! I am surprised this mattress was even in a HIE hotel! A hotel is a place for travelers to sleep: rest, relax, recover for the next leg of their journey - a comfortable bed is kind of expected and needed for this. What a failure here!! I am extremely disappointed and surprised to have had this experience at a HIE.
I have no real complaints about the hotel, except the size of the bathroom and the concrete nature of the bed. This was an average hotel. They do not really attempt to wow you in any way. They get a passing grade but it is not a place I would probably stay in again should I be in the area. Reminder to Hotel Managers that those of us on the road all the time look for something that shows us that we are important to you. Our tired and weary bones can find a place of rest and comfort. We want to be your guest not just be renting a room.
Our room was large, quiet, and the bed comfortable. Staff was great, especially the lady in charge of the breakfast area. She worked very hard at keeping items fully stocked and the tables clean. We werent too crazy about the bathroom. There was no fan and no towel racks, which seemed odd. The TV worked fine, but the picture was not the sharpest. There was also no swimming pool. In all honesty, we probably wouldnt have used it anyway, but it did seem odd for being in a relatively warm climate.I dont think this hotel quite measured up to other HIEs weve stayed at, but we did enjoy our stay and would probably come again.
The hotel is usually a great place to stay. But today I was appalled by the direct disrespect of worker at the establishment. The front desk worker Chris was rude and standoffish instead of being welcoming and happy to see me. I request a King room with a pull out bed my sisters and I. Instead of trying to remedy the situation he began telling he 8room. Long story Im not going to be staying at anymore Holiday Inn in the future.
The staff person at the desk was simply the best. She had my room ready and thanked me for my Spire status. My son had forgotten his toothbrush and she was happy to gift us one. The room was clean and neat. The hallway had an off musky odor but otherwise everything was fine. The hot breakfast was very nice. I would certainly stay again.
I had a wonderful time at this Holiday Inn Express in Marietta. I was there for 7 days and it was great. The hotel and room were clean. Lots of towels. Spacious room with a fridge and microwave and Keurig all of which were in perfect working order.Front Desk staff were wonderful.I would definitely stay there again.I did not participate in the free breakfast (I am vegan) but each morning, I did go down to the breakfast area for hot water and there was always 8 to 10 people there, so breakfast must be good.
The beds were great and the room very clean. Good lighting in the bathroom too. Unfortunately, the parking lot lights are so strong the black out curtains could not keep out the light and I had to put pillows in the window sill to keep the light from coming in. Also, they ran out of fresh fruit at breakfast and have no gluten-free choices that morning. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful though.
I was warmly greeted by the front desk at check in. My room was clean and quiet. The bed was a little on the firm side for me, but I slept well. The pillows were a nice mix of soft and firm. My room had a mini fridge and microwave which were great. The breakfast was a nice mix of cute little omelets, bacon, sausage, biscuits, gravy, cereal, fruit, yogurt, and a variety of breads. The hotel is wonderful for business travel as well as visiting the area.
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. From the moment we walked in we were welcomed by a very kind personality who made us feel at home. Our room was clean and very comfortable. The restroom was spotless and had all the toiletries we could have needed. We plan to stay here on future trips. Thank so much!
We always stay at Holiday Inn Express locations when traveling. This was the first time we stayed in the property. We were extremely disappointed in the property and the room. The bathroom door would not close (the front desk staff offered to call maintentance back in to fix, but was after 5.) There was a motor that kept engaging (possibly the refrigerator) every 8-10 minutes all night long. Pillows were so uncomfortable - they should have been thrown out. The property appeared run down and need in updating. The only positive is that the front desk staff were pleasant and friendly. We will not stay at this property again.
This hotel is not up to Holiday Inn standards. The ice machine didnt work. There was no daily room service, we had to get clean towels ourselves. The breakfast buffet was pathetic to put it politely, no hot food, very few choices. The sad part is that we paid full rate. I have had better experiences hotel-motels and have stayed a nicer hotels in third-world countries!
This location is not up to the normal standards of other Holiday Inn locations. The hallways were nasty and smelled of smoke and musk. The breakfast was a joke with almost no selection so we didnt utilize this service at all. The room was clean but the humidity made the bed sheets feel wet, along with being hard as a rock made for a poor night sleep. In order to enter the building after 9pm you have to use your key card for the front door, as well as the elevator.
Nice area, right off the highway. The parking lot is not very big, they have cameras in all areas of the parking lot, on the floor of the rooms. that is a plus. Great location if you dont want to be in the city of Atlanta. I had issues with direct TV on my first night, they moved me to a second room, same issues. The staff called to get the cable situation handled, I left for a while and when i returned, it was fixed. The bed was comfortable. Great staff. They have a nice breakfast selection. I like the fact that hot and continental was offered. My husband enjoyed the pancakes and the bacon was just how I like it. Its close to Dave and Busters. This city has nice areas to shop and eat also. The only reason I didnt give a 5 star review was because of the TV issues the first night, it kept freezing up and the weather was clear, other than that, this is a really nice Holiday Inn Express.
I read the reviews about this property and was a little hesitant about booking it, but the location was the best place for us at the time. On the good side, check-in was great, the room was large, comfortable and pretty quiet and the bed was nice. Reviewers commented that the facility was a little run down and could use some TLC and I would agree. The common area carpet and grout could use a cleaning and the room we had needed a little touch up. There were also complaints about running out of food and while I would say there was plenty there when we ate, I was very disappointed there were no cinnamon rolls at all placed in the serving area and I was craving one, no one serviced the buffet for the 45 minutes we were there and employees came and took food twice before the meal’s official end at 9:30 am. Only upon leaving did we notice stacks of cinnamon roll containers in the stock room/kitchen area.
From a short line I was in my room within minutes. Tim did a fantastic job getting us checked in and making sure we had everything. The room was clean and well laid out. The water was hot and the AC was cool and quiet. Room could use another place besides table to open bags on and shower was a bit narrow. Breakfast was good, but just on this side of meh. Definitely could be better. Didnt get to use fitness center, but I checked it out. Small, but enough there to get your sweat on. Overall, I believe this place is a little pricey for what you get, but what you get is clean and quiet.
I was not comfortable staying at this hotel. This is not the holiday Inn Express one would expect to stay at. The room was outdated, damp and things such as plugs, lamps did not work.. Even the mattress seemed old and lumpy. There was old AC units in the bottom stairwell. The doorstop in the room was loose and coming up out of the floor. I walked around the hotel and noticed a storage door open with junk laying in it coming out of the storage area where you couldnt shut the door. I truly believe an inspection team should come in unannounced to see if this is the image Holiday Inns would like there customers to experience. Definitely their credentials should be removed and Holiday Inn removed from this hotel.
We had to find another hotel very quickly due to our previous hotel cancelling our booking. We found this hotel which already had a great rating. And I see why. It was very clean, smelled good upon entering. The rooms were nice and spacious. Very quiet even on a somewhat busy street. Staff was great. Just a nice place to relax in after traveling 4.5 hours. Wish I couldve stayed longer
While Holiday Inn Express is a usual favorite chain of mine, this one disappointed. Im glad I had rewards points to use, because its very dated for the price and not a great value otherwise. Our bathroom was filthy upon check-in (feces and hair on toilet), and the communication barrier made it very difficult to get housekeeping to re-clean it. She kept us waiting while she worked on other rooms, making us late for an engagement. But the front staff was wonderful, and the bed was very comfortable; the room dark and quiet. I doubt Id choose this location again, however, and would give another hotel a try.
Stayed at this location while working at a convention at the Cobb Galleria Center. Upon check in, front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and got us settled very quickly. Hot breakfast was provided each morning, which helped us get on our way quickly each day. Staff was always friendly and helpful no matter the time of day. King bed in our room was clean, but stiff, not my preferred mattress softness- but that is just me. A/C unit was slow to cool the room down but did so after a day. Shower curtain in the bathroom had several broken rings so it did not stay in place during showers. Minor issue, we just dealt with it. Room walls are a little thin, you can hear your neighbors if they are loud, but overall a quiet atmosphere. Was VERY pleased with the value and will stay here again if in the area!
Made a last minute reservation and was not disappointed. Some of the best staff I’ve ever interacted with - very friendly and excellent service. Hotel room was nice, had all the amenities and more. The bed was comfy, and the room was spacious. The water pressure was a little low but overall it was an excellent stay.
Everything was clean and staff was very friendly the only thing I wish there was more restaurants close to hotel without having to deal with traffic. The location of hotel was easy to get into. Everything was clean and ready when I arrived. I would like breakfast to start at 6 but that just works bettter for my schedule. The bed was real comfortable and slept well.
The rooms need to be updated, in the bathroom to be specific. I stay at many different IHG hotels across the US and am always thanked for being a Spire Elite member with the option for welcome points or a free snack; that did not happen here at this particular location. I do not recommend this location.
When you pull up to the hotel the exterior is not easy on the eyes..however inside is like unwrapping a present. They had everything you needed ..beautiful open lobby with snacks and water..a dining area with coffee and tea..I never had to wait for an elevator which was surprising due to the smaller size of the location. When I entered my room I was surprised at how spacious it was. They literally thought of everything. We utilized the pullout bed and the coffee table easily pushed directly under the office table. Plenty of outlets and when dealing with the staff every experience was great. I will definently be returning as well as referring this hotel
I was billed a significantly higher price than what was initially quoted on the internet. This was charged directly to my credit card prior to my arrival with no opportunity for refund or cancellation. Please consider more flexibility in this regard. The condition of the wellness/fitness facilities needs to be improved. The exercise equipment available for guests was beyond its useful life. The spa/pool was not functional during the duration of the stay. However, the condition of the rooms was excellent and very clean. The breakfasts were wonderful as you would expect at a Holiday Inn express.
I want to bring attention to the Night Manager Michelle!!! She is what you want to think of as customer service oriented. As a rewards member I had book my room with rewards. When to check in she noticed my membership level and made notice of that. When I booked my room on their App it switched me from rewards to paying. She made all the necessary changes even called and talked with customer service so I didnt have to. That attention to detail is not seen anymore. The room was clean and the breakfast was good. They have the same breakfast at every Holiday Inn Express, They kept if full so even though their were a lot of people you didnt have to substitute what you wanted to eat.
Staff was friendly but forgot to get products I asked for 3 different times, the room wasnt ready at check in and there wasnt towels or washcloths in the room for every guest. I had to ask for sheets and blankets for the bed, then ask for wash cloths and towels for my room that were not there.
My husband and son stayed here for several days for a baseball tournament. I was able to come a stay for the weekend and was thrilled to find they had picked such a great hotel. Chocolate chip cookies at the front desk made the younger siblings very happy!! The room was very nice and CLEAN!!! The carpet was also extremely nice and clean! They have a simple breakfast offering but for baseball player appetites, you can literally walk across the road to Cracker Barrel! The best part of our stay actually happened after they checked out. My son left some brand new baseball pants and several other clothing items in one of the drawers in the room. Within about 30 mins from their departure, I received a call from the hotel staff to let us know what they had found! They were happy to ship them for us! I was so impressed with the fact that these items just didnt disappear or get tossed. This hotel staff cared enough about their guests to contact us, deal with hassle of shipping to us and for that, this will ALWAYS be our hotel of choice in the area!!! Thank you for going above and beyond for your customers! MUCH APPRECIATED!!
As soon as we entered room, we smelled mold. It was horrible. My kids and I had to stand out of the room until we contacted the front desk. Luckily my parents room and aunts room was across the hall. My parents room looked and smelled much better. My aunts room also had a smell but nothing compared to our. Due to my health, after only minutes in there, I felt terrible. My husband had to go down and get a new room. The front desk worker was wonderful in getting us into a new room. But it took upwards of 20 minutes to get everything moved and we had 2 small children who were exhausted. This room should have NEVER been in service. There is NO way a housekeeper didnt notice this. And if the head housekeeper checks all rooms, she or he should have noticed and contacted management. We did get moved to another room on another floor. The smell was much better but it still didnt smell overly clean (similar to my aunts room). No discounts were applied and we didnt hear anything about the room the next morning from management. Very disappointed as I normally always stay at IHG.
Perfect location for us when visiting relatives in the area. Cracker Barrel is across the street, so it is easy to just walk across the street for meals, instead of having to drive and try to locate somewhere for meals. Hotel is very clean, the staff are all friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The internet service is good, but slow at times, probably because of peak use. The beds and pillows are very comfortable, and the curtains prevent outside light from shining into the rooms. The 2 (two) improvements I would like to have are (1) more plug-ins that are easily accessible for computers and other devices. The lamps on the desks are still equipped with phone jacks and one plug-in. The other plug-ins are behind the bedside tables and television. But, we always take our own three-way plug with us whenever we travel, and that makes the situation easier. And (2), vent fans in the bathrooms so the mirrors dont steam up. These problems are not just an HIE problem, but are in other hotels as well. Overall, this and the other HIEs we have stayed in are excellent.
Although I was there for personal reasons, I was preparing for a presentation and working at the business center. The staff was amazing in accommodating me and my needs. Unlimited paper, markers and smiles. Thank you for making my experience an awesome one! This is why I always stay at Holiday Inn Express. That and if I ever need to defend someone in front of a judge, I can always say, I might not be the best attorney your honor, but I did stay at a holiday inn Express, so Im confident my client will be going home today. Hahahaha, I love those commercials, by the way.
Had an early morning business meeting, so decided to stay in the area. I checked very late and needed to be up early. When I got to the room, it was obvious attention had not been paid to certain details within the room. Couch dirty and light fixtures out in bathroom. I was very disappointed that 10,000 points plus cash went toward this room but was so exhausted, I didnt call front desk to report. Pics included.
We have stayed at many Holiday Inn Express over the years and this one met expectations. It is north of downtown Atlanta and right off the interstate which was ideal for us as we had toured the downtown that day and were traveling home the next day. The staff was friendly, competent, and professional. The lobby and breakfast area were spacious, well appointed and clean. The breakfast offerings were more than most offer. Our room was large, furniture updated, and clean. The beds were comfortable and it was quiet. The walls and ceilings could use a bit of freshening and it seemed that this hotel was in the processes of doing so.
Stayed one night on our way home from Florida. Very easy to make the reservation. A little more than we generally spend on just a sleep stop but I did not want to worry about the quality of the room. This hotel was great and I would be happy to stay there for more than a night at any time. Clean and spacious - very comfortable. The desk clerk was friendly and engaging.
No doubt out of your control, but parking area was small. The mattress was too firm for me to enjoy a good nights sleep. Breakfast was great; food and cleanliness. However, there was no meat (bacon or sausage) available nor was any put out while I ate.Room was clean and well attended.
Staff was pleasant and helpful and room was clean overall. Bathroom was worn. Shower head would not stay up. When I tried to adjust it would just fall right back down. Bed was comfortable and room was nice overall. Hallways smelled a little like some one was cooking Chinese food. This would not be my first choice if I visited this area again and just wasn’t up to the standards I’m used to with a holiday inn.
This the worst Hotel we ever stayed in!!! The faucet in bathroom was not hooked up to sink.!!! The air conditioner would not cool the room!! Only one cart for luggage. Carpet was dirty! Only one light worked! When you turned off entry way light my fan turned off, which was plugged in by the bed! That was the last room because The Braves were playing ball and were to tired to search for
Staff were uniformly helpful and friendly. Facility seems tired and needs an update/upgrade. Of particular note, one of my teammates encountered bedbugs in her room; while the staff moved quickly and forcefully to respond (changing her room, engaging pest control professionals), it was a wet blanket on an otherwise good experience
Ive stayed here a few times for work. The positives, the beds are comfortable, rooms clean and Elizabeth at the front desk is wonderful! She always has a smile and is friendly and helpful. I interacted as well with a few ladies on the cleaning staff and they were also great. The negatives...with the exception of Elizabeth.. havent been impressed with the others at the front desk. I didnt ask them for anything but they also didnt go out of their way to greet me or do much of anything. Additionally, my hotel room stank of heavy smoke, though it was a nonsmoking room, such that the stench seeped into all of my clothes. My door stuck and I had to slam into it with my shoulder after swiping my key card to get it to open. The time before I stayed here in a different room, my phone didnt work in my room and the airconditioner stopped working a few days into my stay. Additionally, the Holiday Inn coffee is absolutely terrible. I realize this isnt the fault of the staff necessarily, but Holiday Inn seriously needs to upgrade their coffee.
I visited Atlanta for work, I originally checked into a competitors hotel that was closer to my morning meeting. The room smelled like cigarettes, the toilet was dirty and the bathroom light/fan didnt work... I complained and they moved my room, this one the door looked like it was recently kicked in as it didnt close correctly and their was mold in the shower and holes punched in the bathroom door. I asked for a refund and drove several exits to get to this hotel which was so much nicer, non smoking, attentive staff and clean room and great breakfast... It was only $20. more than the sub-par hotel we originally went to. I think the only improvement they could make is some of the wood formica on the dresser had fallen off and never been repaired. Otherwise besides a tight parking lot the stay was amazing!
The room had a musty smell to to it. The bathroom needs help..no place to hang bath towels or hand towels. The bath tub was a little dirty. The shower head had that green stuff on it.. there were some stray random hairs on our pillows...Overall it wasnt bad but for the price we paid I thought it would be better! The staff was friendly though.
The shower floor wasnt dirty but stained and looked bad. The hallway baseboards were gone on our floor. Being replaced, I hope. The shower head would not adjust and was pointed straight down. Bathroom lighting was terrible. Breakfast bar was excellent, coffee delicious. Staff were friendly and professional.Lobby area needs updated, very tired and plain looking. This is a good basic hotel with convenient location so I will be staying here again. Hopefully next time they will have made some improvements and it will be nicer.Priority Club Membership recognition consisted of the receptionist handing me a bottle of water.
Just a few items - staff is very friendly. Room had issues with lack of hot water, bathroom fan did not work, floor vibrated and heater was loud. Its a very average hotel to stay at that was fairly priced. Breakfast was nice, afternoon cookies did not come out at the same time everyday.
An overall awful experience. Should have slept in my car.Room was full of damaged things on the walls: pictures missing. Bathroom was a joke. Cracks in the sink, shower cover head pulled away from the wall, toilet ran unattended? I would have rather showered and used the toilet at the YMCA! The breakfast was obviously old/stale from previous breakfasts. People were loitering in the lobby area, obviously not guests of the motel!! I was hesitant to even park in the parking lot, concerned my vehicle would be broken into. NEVER AGAIN USING HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS!
Every worker that I have interacted with has been fantastic. There was a minor issue with my Reservation, but it was taken care of quickly and without hassle. They even called after to make sure everything was OK. Breakfast was good and served hot. Housekeeping was always done before I returned.
This Holiday Inn was ok, but was in need of repairs. The Hotel staff was very nice and friendly. The breakfast was good. The bed was comfortable. The sofa needed some repairs, you fall inside of the cushions. The biggest problem was the bathroom repairs were very poorly done. There was caulk all over the top of the shower, the show head was so stiff you could not adjust it, the tub made all kinds of creaking noises when walk in it for a shower; there was no hooks to hang up a towel to dry; the bathroom was the smallest I have ever seen in a Holiday inn. The door barely swung past the toilet to close. You could not get your hands under the bathroom facet to wash them because the facet was set so far back. Over all the room was ok, very poor quality repair jobs, and a badly designed room. Hopefully the other rooms were better than this one..
I have been a frequent customer of Holiday Inn Express hotels. After this experience, I will be choosing to stay with other hotels whenever I can. The room that was rented to me was in poor condition. The ceiling had been damaged (probably by water) and the repair job was less than shoddy. In fact, a portion of the repair still had exposed gypsum board. The wallpaper on one of the walls was pealing off the wall, probably as a result of the same damage. The air conditioner had unreliable controls. The people and TV in the neighboring room were easily heard. The wireless internet was so weak that I couldnt get any of my devices to connect to it. All of that could have been tolerable, even if unpleasant. However, the room smelled of cigarette smoke when we arrived. Seeing that the hotel management clearly takes no pride in a well maintained room, I figured the smell was par for the course.I eventually had to call the front desk about the air conditioner because I couldnt sleep in the hot room. A very nice lady came to the room to help us out. I noted the noisy neighbors and the smell in the room. Because the room had cooled down and we were exhausted and ready for bed, we declined her offer to change rooms.Even after all of that, the hotel charged me $250 for smoking in the room. We are not smokers, and neither one of us has ever smoked in that hotel or anywhere else. I have called the hotel to discuss the mistake four times. Only once has the manager taken my phone call. He was very dismissive of me and said that hed call me back after he discussed it with his staff. He never called me back, and has not returned any of my subsequent phone calls.
My son and I stayed at this Holiday Inn Express from Sat. June 7 thru Tues. June 10, 2014 and it was the best hotel experience I have ever had. Secure, clean, nice and confortable rooms. Front desk staff were very friendly and attentive to my needs/request. The maid service was excellent and prompt. The key card security was excellent and efficient. The hotel lobby was very clean. The parking lot was very clean and well lit at night. I would recommend and definitely stay here again in the future. Keep up the excellent work.
First Holiday Inn Ive been to where they didnt have queen beds in the room. Thats my fault for not reading a little better when I made the reservation. Giant hole in the ceiling in the shower above the shower head. I guess at some point they had a leak, and nobody bothered to fix it. The A/C in the hall at the end by the elevator was so loud I could hear it in my room. I did report that to the front desk; he thanked me for turning it off and said he would report it. However, someone turned it back on in the middle of the night. Mini fridge in our room made some noise that sounded like pod racers from a Star Wars movie. Oh yeah, and outside noise, cops in the parking lot and across the street at the Quality Inn at 2 am wasnt so great either. Im guessing this is either an older property, or they bought out some other company and havent fully renovated. I doubt that Ill stay here again.
The hotel is clean and professional, they have an excellent fitness center with dumbbells up to 45lb, good breakfast and news in the morning. Clean room and bathroom. My only negative note is the lack of a ventilation fan in the bathroom, which led to excessive condensation in the bathroom during showers. Overall a great stay.
The staff was extremely friendly, the rooms were very clean and comfy, and the lobby was tastefully decorated. The entire property was spotless. Even the view from the rooms window was nice. The breakfast was delicious. I was very pleased by all of the small things in the hotel that made a big difference on our experience.
We picked up a walk in coupon at Georgia/Florida border for $89.00 per night for this hotel. We called them in advance (btw, if you want to get a room over the phone or is $129.00) and confirmed they had rooms available. The coupon was accepted. I did not care about a strange smell in the lobby. The room was fine though. The complementary breakfast was pretty standard for that level of the hotel - nothing special. Overall fine for a one night stay for a family traveling form Miami vacation back to Chicago.
My stay was good just not excellent. They only had full size beds for two beds and not queen so my sleep was ok as I had my family with me and my wife and i are used to queen beds. The hotel was a little dated but worked well and was clean. The staff was super friendly.
Easily found hotel; efficient staff and large rooms. Hotel is a bit older and some of the wall and ceiling repairs show thru the wallpaper. Beds were very comfortable and firm. Furniture updated and modern. Everything very clean except carpet was stained and needed a shampooing. Breakfast was typical free hotel fare with powdered eggs. Bleh. Coffee fresh and plentiful in 2-3 different areas. Close to several restaurants.
Location--only a Cracker Barrel as food optionDesk staff--not friendly--I had to work on her a bit but finally did get something going on the restaurant locations away from the motel.I thought we had a room with 2 queen size beds. Not! They were 2 standard size beds. We were too tired to change...Noise! We had someone knock on our door at 10:00 PM/ We had been asleep since about 8:30. There were lots of kids running up and down the hall. Did not sleep well at all. I mentioned this to the morning desk clerk who said there was not policy regarding a quiet floor. No bereavement rate. We had been given one in Lenoir, TN also at a HI Express. On the positive side, the breakfast attendee was very nice and accommodating!
I found this hotel to be conveniently located as it is near highway 75, I had no real issues and was quite comfortable for the week. I did hear a lot of traffic noise but it wasnt excessively loud. The breakfast was average but sufficient. Pillows were marked soft and firm but were all the same. More on the soft side. The room needed updated. Walls and carpet showing some stains and wear and tear. If there was a pool, I never saw it. The staff was always friendly. Cleaning staff always restocked coffee and tolietries.
Gentleman at the front desk was the great! Very friendly and efficient at checking in customers. Hotel was clean but I found a pair mens underwear laying on the floor of the closet. Ick! The breakfast options were the typical of the chain although I liked the addition of the egg-white omelette. Unfortunately, the second morning of my stay they were out of the egg-white omelettes and the warm cinnamon roles at 8:15. Im sure these incidents were not the norm!
Very comfortable; accommodating, and clean. We were booked into another hotel which was disgusting. We immediately refused staying there and tried the Holiday Inn Express. The front desk agent listened to our sad story and booked us into a lovely room at Holiday Express. I have often used Holiday Express when travelling alone. Feeling safe, staying in a clean room, and being comfortable are high priorities. I would highly recommend Holiday Express to anyone.
We applaud the efforts of the night desk clerk at this Holiday Inn. She made an effort to correct the problems we had with our room, but unfortunately it ended up being a difficult evening of sleep. When we first checked in, the room we were assigned smelled horribly of smoke, even though it is a 100% non smoking facility. We were immediately reassigned a room and this one thankfully was free of smoke odor. Upon entering it was extremely warm. We again contacted the desk and were told the units were new and in order for the AC to kick on we needed to lower the temperature. We dialed it into a cool 60 degrees and it went on. Upon our return from dinner, the room was freezing, so we raised the temp to 68. During the evening the room became very hot and it would not turn on until we once again lowered it to near 60. It was a miserable evening of sleep. We explained the complete story to the day clerk and all she did was apologize. We decided not to argue about the lack of comfort and checked out.On a positive note, the breakfast area was one of the neatest and cleanest ones we have ever encountered and praised the staff member who was responsible for it. She was very attentive to all and made sure everyone was pleased with the choices available.
I loved everything about this hotel. The staff was incredible. All the way from the Front Desk staff, Housekeeping and the Breakfast Attendant. They are so friendly and willing to to go above and beyond to make your stay a good one. The room was nice and clean and the fitness room had free-weights and an elliptical. Breakfast was fresh and hot and the breakfast lady was so nice. I highly recommend this hotel.
This was a great hotel to stay at. Although all of the Holiday Inn Express sites that I have stayed at were good choices, I believe this one has been the better of those as far as I can remember. Everything worked very well for me and my agenda. The location, small parking, which translates to safer parking. I especially liked that I felt like I was the only one in the hotel, at least in tems of the respect the other guest and myself displayed in being mindful of the noise levels. There were no loud noises or slamming of doors, children unattended, in fact i didnt even see but one child. It was a great atmosphere for business travels and rest retreats. I especially liked that there wasnt a pool and it is a smaller hotel that is well kept and managed. I will use this site always for my business travels.
Stayed in room 508 people in the next room were extremely loud. Woke us up many times in the night. We complained the next morning. The desk person wanted to refund us $10. We didnt think $10 was a fair amount for a terrible night. He said a manager would call us before Monday to discuss our issue. No call was ever received. Would never stay at this I.H.G. again.
This property is a very nice, clean and updated rooms. They need to allow the AC units to run all night for those of us who like to sleep in a cool room. I like my room to be 67-68 degrees when I sleep or I wake up hot. That was the case with this stay. If the AC stays on and keeps the room cool I would sleep like a baby. Other than that, the stay was great and I would stay here again.
The hotel is nice. It is in close proximity to dining. My only complaint is that the walls are fairly thin and you can hear the conversations of those around you and every little bump that is made. Other than that, this place is good. The hotel staff is top notch and professional.
We arrived in the late evening after traveling all day and were very pleased to find an available room at such a fair price. The room was large, clean and attractive, the bathroom was nice and clean as well. The desk clerk was very pleasant and everything went smoothly. We couldnt have asked for a better experience.
We showed up in the early evening and the young man at the desk took care of us with ease. We then inquired about a Mexican Restaurant and he gave us very good directions on how to get there. When we returned we had a quite evening watching TV and then a good nights rest on a comfortable bed. The next morning we had a nice breakfast at the hotel. I am especially fond of their cinnamon rolls and their gravy and biscuits are pretty good also. The egg offering is just barely eatable and is usually not very hot, as was the case on this trip.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. We appreciated the offer of a complimentary upgrade as a platinum member! Room was very nice as was the staff. Only problems we encountered was the refrigerator in the room didnt work, we only stayed one night so not a huge deal. Only other thing was the parking. The spaces are very narrow and there arent many of them. Still a nice stay overall.
This motel was a pretty good value compared to other hotels in the area. We were in town for the Braves and this saved money compared to any of the ballpark area / Smyrna hotels. Breakfast was good and staff was friendly and accommodating. Air conditioner ran but could use some maintenance. Did not ruin stay at all, it just would have made the stay a little better if the AC unit ran consistently.
Second stay at this hotel. Safe didnt work both times. Needs cleaning in hallways and near elevators. Staff was friendly except for one young lady that was arrogant and indifferent to my requests. On my first stay the toilet didnt work properly, nor did the sink stopper in the bathroom. All items were mentioned to the front desk. Nothing was fixed during my week long stay.
Way over priced for the room and what was provided. The refrigerator was extremely loud (immediately unplugged), tub was stained, shower head was not cleaned, 6 outlets did not work, toilet leaked and was bent (preventing the seat from staying up) and tiny trashcans. The only good thing was the bed, it was very comfortable. As for other items, breakfast was as cheap as possible for them and their coffee was terrible. All in all, I would not suggest staying there and I am planning on not staying at other Holiday inn locations because of it.
My stay started with a professional and courteous receptionist who did whatever he could to accommodate my needs. The room was very clean with nice furniture making the stay comfortable and relaxing. It ended with a good breakfast for me and my kids with enough time to check out without feeling rushed out.
I can truly say being away from home was hard. But the staff here made it durable. The room was very clean and the hotel. The nice lady in the mornings over the breakfast was always making sure everything was stocked and you had what you wanted. Everyone was very nice but Elizabeth was extremely helpful to me. She was always smiling and greeting as you walk through the door. I stayed there 3 weeks and she would greet me by name when I walk through the doors. She even would already be pulling me up to help my check in smooth as possible. Also one night she was there to assist me. I thought I left my phone in a restaurant and she quickly found the number for I could call them. (I found it)She was also a big help for me my last week I left my phone charger home. She found one I could use to charge my phone up. Thats great customer service when you try to make sure your customers are happy. Again everyone on the staff was great, also the young lady with the beautiful nails she was always there when I had a question. Thank you to the entire staff if I knew you all by name I would type each name here. Thanks for making my long stay a good stay.
Staff were very friendly. The cleanliness of the room and bathroom was really impressive. First hotel that I have been to that had soft and firm pillows for their guests, which really made sleeping a lot more comfortable. If all Holiday Inns are like this one I would definitely recommend these hotels.
This hotel is fairly new. The rooms are super clean and very comfortable. The fitness center is small but does offer the basics to get you by while you are out of town. The complementary breakfast has a nice variety of choices. And this hotel is located right off the interstate and is relatively close to great dining choices.
The location of this hotel was great. Kudos to Angela for providing great customer service. The food was good, I enjoyed having Direct TV, however my room was on the far end of the hotel (4th Floor) and due to the noise of the guest in the room above mine I was unable to get a good nights sleep. I talked to Tim who was very apologetic and offered to give me another room. Since the hotel was not booked for the night he offered not to put anyone in the room above mine so I could get a good nights sleep before heading out the next morning. Kudos to Tim as well. Finally, the cleaning lady around 4 pm could have been much quieter when cleaning rooms (after all it is a hotel). I thought someone was fighting in the hallway. I opened the door to see what was going on and she apologized, stating she was trying to finished up because she needed to leave Other than what I mentioned everything else was okay. I probably wouldnt stay at this hotel again if in the area #Im really big on peace & quiet#, but I will make reservations to stay at other locations. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying 1 or 2 nights but not long term.
Our toilet stopped up. We called the staff and ask for it to repaired. After 3 calls and second visit to the front desk, a used plunger was left outside our door. I waited 30 minutes and no one came by, knocked, or called to explain why it was left at the door. After that I used it to unclog the toilet and the maid staff removed the plunger shortly after while she was cleaning the room as per her normal schedule (she was phenomal.... very nice and very helpful, also very fast!). Shortly after the toilet was unclogged by me, the guest, the front desk called and asked if anyone came to help. We explained the scenario and she apologized but no maintence member ever came to attempt to help. Also, our shower head would not stay in its holder so we had to hold it the entire duration of our shower.
The lobby staff was SUPER inviting and friendly. The bed was comfortable, not worn out or sagging or anything.I was able to wake up with a cup of coffee in my room from the single cup coffee maker. The morning breakfast was standard holiday inn Express food.Overall a great stay
Upon arriving I noticed a lot of water damage inside the hotel lobby. After spending a few nights for work the ceiling in my room collapsed onto the bed I was sleeping in and onto the floor. There was trash by the back door which is not locked at any time that took 3 days before anyone cleaned it up. The management offered me a few points for my inconvenience But nothing more. This is not a place I would stay again.
I would give all 5 ratings, but the location and the condition of the elevator bring it down a notch. The woman at the front desk was fantastic; she was handling an issue with another guest checking in, the person was on the phone with someone trying to get it resolve, and the front desk person politely asked is she could work on my check-in, thus not making me wait for another ten minutes (that woman was still there when I went back out and in for something) to get to my room. It would appear the property has been remodeled as the rooms and hallways were great. The elevator was not remodeled, which is not uncommon. The morning breakfast was better than most Holiday Inn Express. It was right off the highway too, with plenty of gas stations/restaurants in the area. I will definitely remember and choose this one again.
Not my first time staying at the same hotel but last time I’ve stayed staff had a problem with my service dog doing his job which is staying with me everywhere I go, which is against the law where says the service dog is allowed everywhere on a federal properties, so hopefully next time we won’t have this problem))
The staff here was absolutely fantastic! They were courteous and beyond helpful. The rooms were good sized and clean. The food at breakfast was a bit lacking in variety. Ice and beverages were hard to find. Overall a very good experience, topped off by a wonderful staff!

2022-05-04We had a friend make reservations this time and we got to another hotel that was absolutely not acceptable, dirty, crooked beds, etc. So I took a chance by coming over to this hotel after calling and fining out they had rooms open. I came in and explained and was handled by the nicest young man and he quickly accommodated us with 2 rooms and we had a very enjoyable stay. Comfortable beds, clean, great water pressure. They are doing some upgrades so there were areas with tile etc. stacked but that tells me they want to continue to improve our experience as customers. Would definitely stay again if our tournament is in the area next time.

2022-01-02Good location. Close to Atlanta and just. Off the I95. Hotel staff couldn’t be nicer and more welcoming. Bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. The hotel is undergoing major renovations which were not revealed on the app when we booked. I had to move a ladder to get the luggage cart to the elevator. There was some dust, but it was not a big issue. Breakfast was good. Once the renovations are done I would highly recommend this hotel.

2022-04-07Just about the only good thing that happened is that the staff provided a good recommendation for Dinner. We arrived around 6:15 PM and was told that our King size bedroom was not ready and would we accept two doubles. well OK. After we returned from dinner we noticed that the remote would not turn on the TV. First I went down to the office area because the phone in the room had nothing noted for how to call the front desk. The person there (who was new - she was still being trained on how to check us in) really knew nothing but said she would come up to the room to help us. After 15-20 minutes I called the front desk on my cell phone and she claimed to be on the way. Her solution turn on at the TV, remote would change channel but no Guide. My wife wanted coffee but no sugar in room. We like to leave the bathroom light on since we both get up in the middle of the night, but only light also turned on fan so not an option. Hotel was being renovated, but I will drive to next exit next time.

2022-01-24For 130 a night after taxes..you would think they could do better for breakfast. Understand theyre working on construction there, but at least some decent breakfast. It was juice, coffee, tiny bagels, dry cereal and bananas but only if you asked for them. Or drop price 10%. Rooms were clean but dated.

2022-06-28Pretty good location but not very walkable. Paid about $225/night for room with two beds. Thats a bit high for quality of hotel, it is quite worn and outdated. Lots of stains on carpet and tiles. Cranky elevator, so had to walk down and up five floors once. The breakfast is just adequate; toast, bagels, sweet pastries, etc. It is supposed to be served from 06:30 -09:30, but on our second morning there was no coffee or hot water for tea until a few minutes past seven. There were insufficient towels in room so had to request more, they were delivered quickly. Only two coffee capsules for 4 people for two night stay. There is ongoing construction so i hope the hotel is receiving a badly needed update.Service was ok.All in all Id say there are probably better choices in area for same price (mas o menos). I would not go back, but its adequate for a couple nights.

2022-03-11I understand they were renovating but to pay 155 for a room and the shower rod falling off the wall is unacceptable. The shower also barely worked. The carpet was black from being so dirty. Even the breakfast looked as of it had been out since 6am, we went down at 830. If you serve till 9 then all options should be available and fresh. Will not stay at another Holiday Inn.

2022-02-02Positive: The lady at the front desk, she was AMAZING! The room was clean despite the construction throughout the hotel. Negative: The hotel is under renovations, much needed ones. One of the main reasons I booked this hotel was for the breakfast. They had green bananans and granola bars.Very disappointing when a HOT breakfast was advertised. Tub did not drain.

2022-04-07Probably the worse Holiday Inn Express Ive been to in 15 years. 1. There was no one at the front desk when we arrived and had to yell for someone to come to the front. There was no mention of a welcome , if I was a Gold member or anything about the ammenity points.2. Had issues with the T.V. Someone came up but just gave us a guide (which should have been in the room already!!!!!!!!!!3. There was no sugar or cream with the coffee in the room AND there was no decaf. available (which is what we only drink)4. There was drywall dust in the bathroom. I completely understand that that cant be helped during a renovation but, really????? dust???5. Id left my shaving crream in Florida the night before. I asked at the front desk the next morning if they had any. He said all they had were little packets but it felt like they were dried out and I might want to just use shampoo.6. Breakfast was weak. Only a small amount of gravy left and it was not hot. Again, THERE WAS NO DEFAF! Bottom line, I was shocked that this was a Holiday Inn we stayed at!

2022-04-26I was terribly disappointed in this property and only compensated with points for 1 night. Probably worst experience I`ve had. Typically only do good reviews. But this time someone needs to know. One good thing I guess is they were remodeling and the construction crew was very nice. No one seemed to care about the slobber or us having enough towels.

2022-04-15Shower still had hair stuck to the walls. Bed is hard as a rock. A lot of construction going on so maybe there is hope for a good renovation. Staff is friendly, breakfast was typical holiday inn.
