For a night or two, this property is OK. For a week or more of business accommodations, it is not the place for me. I travel for work, and have shifted between Marriott, Hilton H2 and air b and b properties depending on my needs. This property has steadily declined in the past two years. Its dirtier, less maintained, has fewer amenities you expect from an H2 property compared to other cities. For example, the rooms Ive stayed in always have something needing repair (the room Im in now has broken blinds and a hole in the wall waiting to be painted. The carpet is sticky dirty to bare feet and in general looks like the back seat of my truck. And Im not charging $90/night for the backseat of my truck nor am I calling it a Hilton property). The food bar has minimal items. The gas grills are out of order, and there are two tiny charcoal grills like the ones you might buy for $5 at Dollar General in their place. There are NO LUGGAGE CARTS, so if you are an extended stay person like me, you can look forward to 3-4 trips to unload your clothes and work related gear. When I ask management about these problems, I got an apology and Im the interim manager. Granted, the hotel has friendly staff and a gym. So, compared to other H2 properties Ive stayed, this one is running at half speed. I would inspect my room before bringing luggage in, just to see if it is clean enough and has working appliances. Im looking forward to improvement from this hotel. It has a good location and Hilton H2s are usually the best for business travelers.
We booked a 1 night stay while we were on a road trip. Right when I walked in I noticed huge loud fans and could tell right away they had some sort of plumbing leak. They also had these fans in the gym and on the second floor. This was concerning, but that was not the issue though. When I got into my room I immediately noticed the room was not clean. I went to use the bathroom and there was no toilet paper at all in the room. If the room was cleaned, when would there be only empty toilet paper rolls? When I got to the sink there was an open and very used bar of soap that had hair all over it right next to the sink. We immediately left the room, asked for a refund, and went to a different hotel.
Thre room was very nice and spacious. Melissa, the front desk attendant was professional, courteous and responsive to all needs. However, there were hardly ever towels and wash cloths readily available upon request. The attendant would usually have to launder linen before any could be provided. It was quite disappointing to have such extensive issues with linen especially at a location owned and operated by Hilton.
Iβm giving this 2 stars and only because the night desk attendant is very nice but the overall stay has been stressful. No extra pillows, had to go out and purchase more, then an entire towel shortage. Never any clean towels, going on day 3 of this and Iβm fixing to have to go out and purchase my own towels for this stay just to get a shower. Not a happy customer who is paying 700+ dollars to stay at a place who canβt meet the needs of their customers. Minimal needs at that.
My stay was extended to say the least. So I plenty of time to observe the in and outs. First of all Ms Jonique and Ms Charlie was awesome no matter what they always had something nice to say and a smile on there face. The front desk Ms A and Mr James was awesome. MR Carlos and Mr Darrel were great. Ms Betty was always nice and was one of the hardest workers there. But one thing I didnt like were sudden price changes in the computer without any notice what so ever. I mean even if it was the computer, what ever happened to the consumer is always right. Well as far as people consideration is out the window.. If you stay here for any considerable amount of days, please review your rates from time to time because even though you were quoted one set price its Subject to change...Overall it was ok...would I stay there again hell no..
Subpar, room felt and smelled musty and damp, one of my pillows definitely smelled used, and there was no chance I was sitting on the couch in my room. Really disappointed as I am a diamond Hilton rewards member and usually have a great experience. Staff was friendly. Would avoid this hotel if ever in the area again.
Felt like it could have been a little cleaner but overall it was a great stay!! The woman at the front desk didnt talk very loud so I made it clear I had a hard time hearing her so she put me in a hearing impaired room... ( I have no issues with my hearing) quite a funny moment and definitely one I will never forget!
Very nice and knowledgeable staff. Our room was 318 full size fridge with a freezer on the bottom, sink and big microwave with a dishwasher. Plate settings for 4 a nice sofa with a pull out couch, leather ottoman with a curtain to seperate. Chair and desk big flat screen and comfy bed. Lots of amenities in the bathroom loved the walkin shower.
This hotel is definitely the nicest, cleanest one weve ever stayed in over several years visiting family in Columbus. Since it was an extended stay, we definitely appreciated the high-quality Covid sanitizing practices, the kitchen in the room, the modern decor, the couch and desk, and plenty of storage space. The price was competitive with other motels in the area.
I stayed here for a almost 2 weeks straight with my wife, 2 kids and 2 big dogs this place is great! Staff was supper friendly, nice outdoor fire pit area to relax on one side and a smaller pool out back with grills. The room was pretty spacious with its own fridge, dishware and dishwasher. For the price in the location it cant be beat.
This review is purely based on their breakfast, as I did not stay here. I stopped here to pick up a friend and enjoy breakfast with them. I was staying at the Hilton Garden Inn and decided to pass on the complimentary breakfast there... for this?!! At 8 in the morning?!! I questioned if they were closed. The selection was so incredibly poor and not filling at all. There were no cups for beverages. I had to ask for one at the front desk. My friend and I have stayed at numerous Home2s. We have never seen anything like this.
Great breakfast. Wonderful staff. The outside pool was nice and clean.the rooms are very comfortable with slide bathroom doors. The pull out couch to bed is more comfortable than it looks, just ask for an extra comforter to sleep on it. The baby beds they provide once asked for need soaking in water and vinegar then washed. They look dirty and smell horrible.
Hope they arenβt completely booked when you decide to stay... terrible parking options consistently. Try to arrive early just for parking! And if youβre a diamond member and used to having your Hilton diamond parking, I have bad news for you... there isnβt any!Rooms are decent. Water pressure/ temp is iffy. Room service has to be reminded over and over again to come clean. Most people sit their towels and trash out and hope to get towels back.Elevators are always broken but I guess we all need a little exercise... speaking of, the walls/ floors are super thin! Not to mention at any given time you can hear children β or wrestlers running around and body slamming one another in their not so nearby rooms. enjoy your stay!
If you can find an hotel in Columbus then stay there. This hotel is not like all the other home2 we have stayed at.Its very dirty and staff doesnt try to fix the problem. The gym is out of order and it doesnt say that before to make a reservation. And I was charged an additional fee of 100 without being told .
This is a horrible representation of a Hilton. We always stay with Hilton but we will never return to this location. The staff is friendly but that is the only upside. The elevator is extremely slow, carpet in the hallways are dirty, room needs maintenance & last but not least, unauthorized charges to my credit card. If you stay here you better check your statement!
Terrible experience. First they assigned a room that had not been cleaned. Once I was reassigned to another room, the door would not latch so I had to use the deadbolt to secure the door. The desk chair was stained so badly, I used a towel to protect my clothes. There were remnants of food left in the refrigerator. I could go on but this is a poor representation of a Hilton property. Stay elsewhere is you are in Columbus.
Pool area doesnβt have lounge or sunbathing chairs. Just normal chairs. No towels at the pool.Breakfast area ran out of coffee each day. Second day they didnβt have full size coffee cup. The smaller coffee cups didnβt have lids that fit.CNN on the tv in breakfast area.
I stayed here for a basketball tournament April 16th & 17th. Got to my room and realized there was no tape on my door saying, the room was cleaned for my stay. Then, I realized that there was a full trash can under the kitchen sink. Went down in the elevator the next morning and, the elevator was completely dark (no light). The greetings I received from (the female front desk clerk and Ms Charlie W. The kitchen staff) are the reason I stayed for another night. Ms. Charlie was a wonderful help to me she, helped me get everything I needed to enjoy breakfast along with a way to transport my brekfast upstairs. Thank you maam!
If I could give 0 stars, I would! Rooms need an upgrade and deep clean. Carpet in the hallway and stairs was dirty. Elevators was down. One person was stuck on the elevator before I left. The cable didnβt work in my room. My card was double charged and random charges everyday. I talked to Tobi on 3 separate days about the charges and she agreed to call me to update me after she talked with the manager. I never heard from her or the manager. Unprofessional. I will never stay here again!
Customer service is awesome and the rooms are very spacious. The luxury king size rooms bed is not so comfortable. The breakfast was a total disaster. Only hot food was waffles you make yourself. The scramble bowl needed to be microwave and there was cereal and plenty of bread. Want be staying here again.
Nice place and very accommodating rooms. However my room had stained carpet, a dented refrigerator and just looked more run down than rooms Ive stayed in the past. Everything looked really worn and the bathroom door lock was a pain to deal with. The hotel in other areas is nice and has a friendly staff. My only complaint with staff is the housekeepers constantly waking you up early asking if youre gonna checkout. They dont even wait until checkout time.
Nice hotel. Clean room. Wish it would have had a stove top option but it didnt. There was an issue closing the door to the room all the time instead of it shutting all the way on its own it would get stuck. And the metal top to the curtain fell off and cut my leg open! So beware of the window shade .. its dangerous!!! I never did get it closed. Stayed here. Week and had no other real problems.
Room is good size & amenities, but thatβs where it ends. The most important thing in the room sucks! The bed is too cheap and firm for my comfort. The pillows are like sleeping on trash bags, correction Iβve had trash bags that are more comfortable. The shower in my RV is nice and stronger water pressure than the shower in here.
Horrible my insurance booked this place for me I check out after 5min of being there and the the mgr rudely throws the card keys on the counter and states they still will charge me. However they had no carts to transport luggage to the rooms , and the only have 10 portable cooktops that was not going to accommodate my family of 5 for 2mos I wanted a suite with full kitchen this was more like a motel 6 room . The door to my rooms was open and had a small foot crack in it . Jessica (mgr) and her employee tobi was very rude , and unprofessional for no reason when I Expressed my concerns about the rooms and why I couldnt stay. Please avoid this place
Dont expect too much with covid restrictions. No housekeeping during your stay. Grab and go breakfast, apple and muffin, sometimes a granola bar. Laundry services were not all in working order. Gym and pool were open. Amenities in room were sufficient. Overall it was what we expected.
First room was absolutely filthy. Hair, trash and somebodyβs βlotionβ was between the mattress and headboard! Outside of the entrance, someone had dumped a bag of dog food and it was molded and sour. The smell was horrible. The next room they moved us to was dingy with a broken pocket door on the the bathroom that kept rolling shut. The carpet was nasty and the sofa looked like it belonged in a frat house. The air conditioning couldnβt keep the room cool and it was very humid in the room as well. I always stay at Hiltonβs and this was absolutely the worst I have seen. Just nasty.
Firstly I would like to express the whole I understand that covid 19 is going on. Im a very cautious person with kids. We are here for softball tournaments. Check in time is at 3 we didnt get checked in until after 5 which the general manager understood she gave us a free night. We get to the room no blankets are on the bed we call down to request blankets the young guy that brings them up no courtesy or anything he acted as if it were our fault. Secondly at the front desk she stated that if we wanted our trash out and new towels to sit it outside your door, we did that leaving out at 7am for our first game. We come back to our room at about 5pm the trash is still outside the room and the towels are gone once inside to only discover that we have no towels replaced call down to the front were she says that they dont have any ready π. 2-3 hours later the towels come without any wash cloths I called back down to only find out it would be another few hours before we could get some. Not to mention the grab and go breakfast which was a piece of fruit, granola bar and something else. We had better grab and go at the holiday inn. This was the first time at a Hilton where everything just sucked. I dont recommend this location if you are coming to Columbus, Ga.
Upon checking in, the clerk was not receptive or cordial. No recognition as honors member. Seem to have been bothering the clerk by being there. Check out the general manager was quite pleasant and recognized me as a honors member. I was unaware that there was no breakfast. Had an interesting to go bag after asking. If I were to base my experience upon only checking in, I would not go back to this hotel.
Great place. Friendly staff. Free breakfast. Pet friendly. Accommodated my husband, myself, my 94 year old Aunt and cats during Hurricane Irma. On short notice they gave us an accessible room so my Aunt could bathe after our long , stressful trip from Naples, Florida. We were lucky to get a one bedroom so cats could be sequestered. Everyone was lovely to us. We so appreciated having this modern, spacious place to settle for the week. It saved our sanity for which I will be forever grateful. The Hilton chain really came through for us during the evacuation We stayed at 3 Hiltons during the almost 2 weeks away from home, while all were great, this was my favorite.
What a fantastic hotel! Spacious, clean, modern, a free breakfast with fresh options, and staff that is on their game! It is pet friendly and you can never go wrong with friendly happy dogs in the morning. And a special thank you to the front desk lady, Charlie, for running off the young men that tried to follow us inside the building and into the elevator which ultimately cracked her up because were 20 karate practitioners who know how to diffuse a situation quickly and effectively. πΉπΉπΉ
Water pressure in shower was atrocious. It was so weak, I spent double the amount of time to rinse off. So if they are trying to save water using a regulator on the shower head, it is self defeating because you have to spend more time in the shower. I asked for them to fix it on the first night, but when I took a shower the next day, it didnt seem to have been changed.
We arrived to check in for our reservation to find out the hotel is overbooked and do not have a room for us. And the entire city is booked due to the event we traveled here for or charging some ridiculous amount. We are here with our daughter and have nowhere to stay. I will never book with a Hilton again! Thanks
Looks like most other home2suites, very utilitarian on the rooms and lobby. Located near decent places to eat and shopping near by. Many other hotels in the same area. Staff were very nice during my visit. I did not try the breakfast. I only gave 3 stars because I noticed hair in the bathroom and shower. Also, the soap for the shower is in dispensors. While this is efficient and easier to maintain, one of them kept falling off and it just seamed... well cheap vs the regularly provided bottles. Plus, there was no conditioner. The walls seemed to be thinner and I heard other guests coming and going, but I assume its because of the utilitarian decor that lacks sufficient materials to dampen sounds.
We stayed here for several nights during a trying time for our family... Im so glad we chose them! To start with the rooms are top-notch with amenities we didnt even realize we needed π Im normally NOT a breakfast eater, but on a SAT. am I went down & met Miss Casey (not sure on last name)! This little lady made me feel like I had known her forever, suggested I put some fuel in my belly π & made my day a little brighter... Shes a treasure!
This was the worst hotel experience Ive ever had. When we checked in, the room hadnt been clean and was full of dirty dishes, used soap in the kitchen and bathroom, and just a mess everywhere. We got another room, then it took the staff 9 days to clean that room, and that was after specifically scheduling a time for them to clean it on 3 occasions. Their laundry service misplaced our clothes for 4 days, then they lost one of my daughters dresses, and never offered to compensate for our time with no clothing. The staff was very polite, but nothing seemed to get done correctly. It was one glaring error after another.
We stay at this hotel twice a year when we go to Auburn. The hotel is always clean & neat with friendly & helpful staff. The breakfast is quite nice. Rooms are very comfortable with beds that make for a good nights sleep. This is a little bit out of the way for us, but we were so pleased with the place after the first visit four years ago, that we only stay at this hotel now.
Clean room. Hospitable staff. Our room had plenty of space for all 6 of us. Atmosphere was warm and inviting. Nice breakfast and complimentary apples with Nutella. Clean pool. Our stay was great. If were ever in the area again, this is where we will stay. Thanks for making our trip enjoyable and relaxing.
This is my second time staying here and I felt like I needed to write a review to acknowledge how amazing this hotel is!Home2 is super clean and updated. Free coffee/tea/hot chocolate, apples and bananas. Free breakfast in the morning. The suites are beautiful. My dog came with me and you canβt even tell any other animals have been in the room it is so clean. The staff here really make you feel at home and genuinely care about your needs. Check in is at 3pm but I called at 11am asking if a room would possibly be ready early. (Corey took my call) while i was on the phone, Corey took down my number and said heβll call me if a room is ready early. At 12 noon I get a phone call from corey, just as promised that my room is ready!! I told them over the phone that i have my dog with me. once i walked in, i was greeted at the front desk and they knew exactly who i was! Amazing service, extremely clean and updated rooms and pet friendly!!5 stars to Corey and Stephanie (from housekeeping!) and everyone at Home2! Thank you all so much!
Everything was so nice and clean. My family and I really enjoyed our stay. The beds were so comfortable. The location of the hotel was right by everything you needed and more. The style and decor was just beautiful. This stay made me proud to be a Hilton Honors member.
I would have believed this hotel just opened yesterday. Everything was nice, neat and clean. I checked in late, actually 1am and check out was 11am and for the first time I did not mind one but paying over $100 for A few hours. I also never expect much from 3rd shift front desk employees but I was blown away by the associate on duty to the point I extended a job offer. Fingers crossed I see the application Monday morning. In the hospitality business its these folks that make or break you. At 2 in the morning after traveling for hours the manager is at home asleep and its these underpaid workers that is the face of the hotel and make customers for life or customers who will drive 60 more miles to avoid you.
We had a pleasant stay. The rooms are well equipped. Problems: the a/c stays at 66 which is as little cold. If you turn it up to 67, the heat comes on. Also the bathroom doors are pocket doors. We occupied approx 5 rooms. Almost every bathroom door was broken. We had to stuff a towel under the door to keep it closed. Otherwise, not bad.
We stayed in a variety of Hilton owned hotels on a vacation we took recently and this was the last one that we stayed in and I have to say it was nicest room wise. The rooms in this hotel are set up like little houses. Full refrigerator and stove with all utensils, dishes, pots... etc. The beds were comfortable. I wasnt overly impressed with the free breakfast which mainly consisted of microwavable breakfast sandwiches, oatmeal, cold cereal, and fresh fruit. And then theres the luggage cart situation with seems to be an ongoing issue with Hilton for some reason. Hilton only seems to stock each hotel with four to five luggage carts. People will take the luggage carts and put them in their room and not return them and when youre traveling with the family and youve got stuff to unload like a cooler and you have to wait 20 minutes it can be kind of a burden and the staff isnt ever overly helpful and that was the case here at this Hilton as well. This Hilton is in proximity to a large Target, a Fresh Market and lots of other stores and places to eat. So its a great location if you need stuff if youre traveling.
I stayed there before memorial day so it was busy. The room was clean and spacious. They had a nice place to sit outside. The view from my room was ok. The staff was very friendly. The part that I liked was my friend came the day after I got there. They put her directly across from me which was great out kids could go back and forth. They really tried to accommodate.
There were no luggage carts which made it hard to transfer food and possession for a long stay. The hallway rugs were dirty. The light by the bed didnt work and I asked for repair which has yet to be done. Otherwise the facility was satisfactory but not up to Hilton standards.
Usually, I dont take the time to write reviews but this time is a must!! Recently, I revisited this Home2 location in Columbus, GA for the 2nd time since Christmas and have to say both times were the best of any hotel I have ever stayed in! Truly, I believe the reason for me was not that it is a nice hotel, which it is regarding the breakfast food options, decor and cleanliness, but mostly because of the attitude of the entire staff which includes management, the food preparers, housekeeping, and maintenance personnel! Very friendly and accommodating to me as well as every other customer I had the chance to witness! Unbeknownst to most of the staff, my circumstances for my family visit were incredibly difficult and stressful and I so much appreciated the employees efforts to share their smiles and short conversations with me every morning and evening when I would return to the hotel. Added some much needed sunshine to my days! There is no doubt that this team aims to make you feel welcome and strives to perferct customer satisfaction!!! Upon check out, I was actually really bummed out to leave after such a pleasant 2 week visit. Looking forward to another great visit very soon! Thank you Home2!!
So this was my familyβs first time staying with Home 2 Suites we usually stay at the Embassy Suite I called to pre- pay for our stay which was from 17-20 October since we would be arriving late / early morning somehow we were checked out on the 19 October then my CC was charged a additional amount ( which after calling down on the 18 I was advised it would fall off) then told it was a charge because they had checked us out which I had already paid the full amount so after talking with the front desk for about 15 minutes the charge was revised the reason given did not make any sense. The day off of the 20 October I requested a late check out the front desk attendant went and ask stated sorry there were no more late check out request so my understanding with the Hilton Honor program this was possible so I am impressed with this branch of Hilton no not really
This is an extended stay hotel located in a busy area of Columbus. We visited for an event held in the conference room. I did get a chance to walk around a bit and I was please with the overall look of the hotel and the amenities that they offered. They are located within walking distance of several restaurants. They have a cozy lounge like sitting area with a beautiful fire pit. The front desk area was very modern...great decor. It looks like this might be a new or modernized hotel. The fitness area was not that big, but had several pieces of equipment. There is a small, but open business area near the front. I think it only had one (maybe two) computers. Good place to stay, definitely good for conference center events.
The rooms are nice, but the gym has faulty wiring and half the machines wouldnt work. This is a known problem that management refuses to fix. If you need to have a fully functional gym, go elsewhere. Dont expect any decent compensation either. The gym they partner with has bad ratings and closes at 6pm on weekends. The management here is useless. So basically I cant work out during my entire stay here.
The service here is atrocious. One of the girls in my work group had stuff stolen from her hotel room, while we were at work, by one of the housemaids, who is on camera and can be identified by name, and the hotel told us it was not their problem. They said they were not liable for anything stolen or damaged in our room by one of their associates, verbatim. They have been rude, downright stole from one of us, went into multiple of our hotel rooms with the do not disturb sign hanging from the handle the SAME DAY we hung it there, despite us asking them to stop coming in after the theft. They messed up our rooms in the first place, cant keep our information correct in their system, and have been genuinely very unhelpful and overall awful. I would not recommend this place to someone I hate.
Wow, I wish I could give a0. I stayed there Saturday, May 30th. We ask where were the carts to bring in the luggage , they were taken up because of CV-19. In the room, the air system if you set to 73 it would just keep getting colder, if you set to 74 , t never would come on.The remote did not have a back, the outlets were full of dust and dirt, the clock did not work, the lamp rocked, so I set it on its side, and the bottom was half off, see attached pictures. If you are going to Columbus, and want a Hilton property , try Hampton Inn Phenix City, or Homewood Suites, on Whittlessy Road. Im a Diamond member at Hilton, and filed a complaint with Hilton , they said the management would be in touch in 3 business days, its been crickets.I will no go back to this hotel , and do not recommend it.
Nice clean rooms with kitchens that include convention microwave, full size small fridge/freezer, dishwasher, dishes, silverware, & cutlery. Portable cooktops and pans on loan from desk. Continental breakfast with heat to eat omelets, whole grain batter ready to make your own waffles, fruit, oatmeal, & cereal. Saline pool & fitness room. Pet friendly, but we saw no evidence of previous pet stays in our room. (There were a few barks in the early morning, especially when housekeeping started checking rooms) Great place to stay. I will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.
I dont write reviews for anything but this hotel is stellar! Clean, modern, located in the middle of everything and roughly 20 minutes to airborne school. They went out of their way to accommodate us when we had checked out, thinking we would be staying on base for the remainder of our trip. I called an hour after I had checked out and they made our previous room available for us.
I love all of the Home2 Suites.. This one is exception.. Great location. Outside pool. Outdoor amenities for guests.. Grill area and nice outside seating. Very attentive Front Desk..Only complaints for all Home2 Suites are the packaged to reheat breakfast sandwiches. Overall, Breakfast items are awful.. Stay with the waffles, bagels, oatmeal or cereal....
Best room I have ever stayed in. Best, most comfortable bed. Breakfast was terrific, great selection. Very friendly staff. Located in the middle of lots of restaurants, shops and grocery stores. Was visiting son at Fort Benning. Going back for his graduation and will stay here again.
If youre a lite sleeper you may want to ask for a room on the top floor. I could hear the people above us walking around and going in and out of their room. The mattress was firm but not hard and very comfortable. The pillows could have been better but I am picky about pillows.
I love the Hilton brand. This is NOT a typical Hilton experience. Beautiful furnishingsβthatβs about the best I can say for this hotel. The morning breakfast is disgustingβnot the food, the LACK of cleanliness and upkeep. Stacked dirty dishes, no clean dishes or utensils. Horrible WiFi. Thin walls, barking dogs at 3 am... room key having to be βre-keyedβ on multiple occasions. One night, left my family at our room door and went downstairs to get my key reprogrammed (yet again), front desk (one guy) came and did the job without even asking for my name or identification... hmmm, all I needed to give him was my room number. I gave him my license just to make myself feel better...also, upon checkout, several mistaken chargesβeven one listed as βcash.β Whatβs that about? The charges were corrected but this place is not to the standard of the Hilton brand.
We were there for 1 night only but I was sooo impressed! Its hard to decide via internet where to stay because you never really know what youre gonna get. The rooms were beyond nice, totally contemporary. Grounds were clean, staff also very nice! We will be looking into home2suite hotels in the future as this one set the bar pretty high! Definitely recommend!
Ive been coming to home2 for the past two months, everytime I visit the staff n Gm welcome me, and always making sure Im enjoying my stay, you know you are staying in the right hotel when they go above and beyond to make your stay amazing, they leave two dove chocolates and a little note on your bed, thats very nice and costumer servers, this is the hotel everyone should stay at, you want to feel like you are home while away from home, Home2 is the hotel. Thanks Home2 for being outstanding, Ill be seeing yall guys again soon. Keep up the awesome job.
I was really impressed by this hotel. I had never even heard of this brand of Hiltons but it was perfect for our needs. It is certainly spartan and not plush, but that is just fine. If you are staying with a family or group and can take advantage of the foldout couch, its quite roomy in the 1 bedroom suites. Nice little kitchenette as well. Large bathroom. The highlight though was the staff, they went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and take care of every little need. For a discount brand, they were better than many pricier places!
I gave two stars due to safety issue and being lied to over the phone a few times. The rooms themselves are very nice and while I stayed there the staff was too notch. I would have given a 4-5 stars if it wasnt for the lying to me.Pros:-Clean and well mannered staff-Great rooms at a great priceCons:-The elevators were overdue for their inspections by over a month. Usually if there is one safety issue there is more.-Left clothing there. I know my mistake. But it took 3 phone calls and over a month for them to send it back to me. I called them a few days ago saying it has been a month. They told me they dont pick the fastest shipping. Well once I got my package, I noticed it was sent out two days ago. Oddly it was a few days ago that I called them asking where my clothes were since it had been a month. They held my clothes and I was lied to multiple times. They told me it would be shipped soon on both phones I had with them. They should have just told me that they forgot about them and that they will send them out.
This place was awesome and spacious..I definitely will be returning..They offer everything u need in a room including availability to cook!!! Even the room attendant named Shon was so thoughtful and polite. She seen us standing in the hall and walked over to ask our family was it something we needed but we actually was waiting on a family memeber. She definitely made us feel welcome because at other places no one says anything or try and help you at all. Thanks for the hospitality Home 2 home
Room is clean and relatively modern, but clearly not stocked full of high end stuff (reminds me of a used up Ikea room). Breakfast is meh (dont have the fruit they advertise in the elevator). Overall, great value for the price but dont assume it will be equal to the other suite brands. Great staff so far. If you want value, this is the place, but if youre used to Homewood or others.. expect a slight difference.
This was one of the worst hotel experiences that I have had...My family and I stayed for one night. The room was clean but it was the service and staff that was awful..My husband called to the front desk due to the toilet was stopped up and toilet water was about to over flow...When he explained to the young lady the issue she rudely said she had other things to do and maybe someone will be able to come look at the toilet..and loand behold no one came...So we stayed in a room with no working toilet...no offer to get another room...When my husband asked about changing to another room he was told no, there wasnt any rooms available..so we had to literally hold it until we checked out at 0600 in the morning...Miserable stay...horrible service...I will never stay here again or recommend this hotel...
We booked after seeing the review but room is not upgraded and bathroom door is not closing we told while checkin and also next day but no action was taken , Even we talked to manager Jasmin but still no action was taken . Not recommend and please not go with review.
WILL NEVER BOOK HERE AGAINBusiness travel plans were canceled due to the impacts of Hurricane Florence. The decision to cancel the trip was not made until the last minute and was out of my control. Second and third order effects of the hurricane resulted in oversight of room cancelation. A group reservation was made and 4 rooms were charged one night each onto my card (since my card was holding the rooms). The manager refused to have ANY empathy even after I explained that nobody checked in or stayed in the rooms. This was genuinely a matter of extenuating circumstances as a result of hurricane Florence. I understand cancelation policies, but surely in this case an exception could be made right? Wrong! The manager was defensive and rude and unwilling to help. It was more of, The hurricane was last week...too bad attitude. Hotels are everywhere, the ones I decide to stay at will be the ones that treat their customers as they or their own family would like to be treated. You have lost me as a loyal customer.
Ok, so id like to start off and say check in was easy, rooms were clean and updated, comfortable and spacious. But now, i will tell you this i think they built this hotel out of popcycle sticks and paper mache. I could hear the people upstairs walking back and forth all night, i could hear every creek and all night long. Also im 110% sure the room about 3 doors down from me was a drug distrubution center.. I mean all night there were Shady people coming to that door and leaving. And these doors slam when the close.3:45 am there was about 12 men and woman in the hallway talking and hanging out until about 4:30 am..My wife and i got NO sleep until after 5am.. That is until the garbage truck outside our window slams a dumpster and wakes us at 7:00am... Just a really bad experience all in all, and weve been to dozens of Hiltons.. not recomended at all unless you need some Crank or Weed, then its a good spot...π
I had a really terrible experience here. Its 3am right now and the hotel is behind Cici s pizza which is having a 16 wheeler truck delivery them food boxes at the moment. This delivery crew is incredibly loud outside my hotel window and I cant go back to sleep. They are slamming boxes around in the truck looking for the right boxes to take in to the store and once the box is off the truck, the plastic wrapper and rolling carts is ridiculously loudThe delivery crew is talking/laughing very loudly. The guy above me is walking around which sounds like he is stomping but the floors and walls are paper thin.I really should have never stayed at this hotel. Never again! Please be aware of this next time you choose to book at this hotel. Not worth the sleepless nights.
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was clean, the staff was attentive, and the hotel is smack dab in the middle of restaurants and shopping. The movie theater is across the street. If you are staying in Columbus I would suggest you stay here.
The hotel was ok, but once I called the front desk for extra towels, the attendant told me he would be up in 5 minutes. I also noticed there were two bars of open used soap still in the shower from previous guest. The towels never showed. I walked to the front desk 2 hours later to get towels. Thats when he followed me back to my room to remove the soap with a towel. He did not clean the area where someone elses DNA was resting. Yuck!
This particular Home 2 Suites is NOT ESA (Emotional Support Animal) friendly, requires a NON refundable fee of $150...biggest key thing is they state that its HILTONs policy towards pets....INCORRECT. literally use Hilton all the time, called another one in town, no problems. They will lose out of potential customers that pay
I am a Hilton Honors Member with Diamond Status. I booked my room on the Hilton App. My preference profile states No Handicap room accepted. I am able bodied and feel if I get a ticket for parking in a handicap parking space they should not be able to rent me a handicap room. So when I arrived they had given my room to some one else and only had handicap left. I REFUSED THE ROOM AND WILL NEVER RETURN! The manager was called and nothing else was done. Pisspoor Customer Service!
We always choose home 2 when we can, but this one was disappointing. The internet was out, and breakfast waffle mix was watery and there was no silverware and we were told itβs being washed. π€·π»ββοΈ. Maybe there isnβt enough staff scheduled for breakfast service.
Fantastic hotel well positioned for all the restaurants and bars.the staff were very helpful and friendly . for the price we paid this hotel was way above are expectations,we only had breakfast and it varied every day, looking back the contessa is a very well run clean and friendly hotel
Kyra is A.W.E.S.O.M.E! We had an issue with our room and Ms. Kyra immediatly tended to our needs to ensure that the family was comfortable. Thank you Kyra; to the Home2 leaders, you have a sweet gem of an agent representing your organization. Thank you for making my family feel like we never left home.

2022-04-15Stayed 3 nights for an Army graduation at Ft . Benning. Convenient location to Benning, downtown Columbus, Riverwalk, restaurants, groceries, and shopping. Safe and clean area. Rooms were nice, clean, and had all we needed. The staff was exceptional, attentive to all of our asks, and very friendly. Nice little workout room and pool. Nice little patio with tables, comfy chairs, and fire pit. Breakfast was mehβ¦but free (beggars canβt be choosers). Waffle House is close. Our only real complaint was that the latch to the door of our bathroom was broken, so the door wouldnβt stay closed (itβs a pocket door that rolls open). My parents bathroom door latch was also broken and I bumped into another guest in the elevator with the same problem. Once they fix their latch problem, itβs a great place to stay!

2021-09-28Great customer service! Although I was unable to have the contact less check in, the staff was able to allow me to change rooms. They were so sweet! They are in the process of renovating and all rooms had new couches and ottomans. The moving was seamless and we were notified about the furniture upon check-in as well as by letter, left in the spacious room.Speaking of rooms....refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, and dishes!

2021-12-28Poor service rooms not ready, front door was locked at 9 PM had to beat on the door to get another guest to grab a front desk personell. As well there was no food for the breakfast not milk, yogurt nothing but a waffle and hardly anything else to go with it butter or syrup. I have been coming to this location since it opened and it was truly one of the worst visits i have made to a Hilton Hotel.

2021-09-05I gave this hotel 1 star because of its prime location and friendly staff. And while the room is spacious & it has a full fridge the room was filthy!! My husband wiped down everything & sprayed Lysol everywhere! The sofa is FULL OF STAINS! Nasty! I mean get your furniture professionally cleaned. Paying $130 a night! The carpet in the hall has a stains of every single block of light blue carpet! NASTY STAINED CARPET! I will never stay here again! The sheets and pillow cases were not clean!I lived here for 10 years and visit often but usually stay in Marriott properties. Decided to give this hotel a chance because itβs a Hilton and such a great location but it was the dirtiest hotel Iβve ever stayed at. I really hope the Hilton brand does something about this filthy hotel because it has one of the best locations in the city!

2021-08-01This was our second Home2 stay during our PCS. I was greeted warmly at the desk and was really thankful for such a friendly check in after a long drive. We choose to stay with home2 as their pet policies fit in with having large breed dogs. The pet waste area was very small but not an issue. The room needed a bit of work ( no shampoo in bathroom and duct tape in a spot in the shower) but was clean and we really didnt mind. This location has a lot of restaurants and businesses within walking distance. Overall great stay would recommend if you are looking for a pet friendly place.

2021-11-06We drove in Friday evening as we had booked online due to this location being the only 4 star hotel in the area with a premium price to match. As weary travelers we arrived and were greeted by super nice and welcoming front desk clerks. It was a promising start that quickly dissipated once we entered the King Suite we had booked. Upon entering it was noted to be cleaned in a sub-par fashion. Turned on a/c to dehumidify the room and the control panel door fell to the floor. Eh, no big deal right? Place our luggage down and proceed to the bathroom to shower. Bathroom door did not stay closed and did not lock. Hmmm. Hop into the shower and proceed to use soap and shampoo dispensers where both panels followed suit with the a/c control panel door and hit the shower floor. 5 minutes in and 3 fixtures down. One wash-cloth to be shared by a couple apparently, we made do. Finally, hop in the bed expecting that at the very minimum the mattress will be comforting after a long days travel. As I was in mid-flight anticipating a pillow-soft landing I was quickly relieved of this brief passing thought with a sobering spine adjustment. The mattress had a north to south raised ridge that tapered off to a soft, unsupported edge. Considering that my partner is a rather large individual (ie broad) who uses greater than 3/4 of mattress real estate on a good night, I was faced with a long night of living on the edge of roughly 18 of mattress surface that density changed from extra firm to no support. A recipe for probable discharge from said surface if my partner changes position or challenges me for my real estate. As expected, I did not sleep. My partner apparently did just fine judging by her fluttering eyelashes and deep guttural breathing pattern. I self-ejected myself from the bed and shuffled to the bathroom (by way of microwave door left open to double as a nightlight) only to find that I was not the only one with insomnia. A fellow night owl (ie roach) was also ambling about the bathroom at this witching hour. Attempts to go to sleep were largely unsuccessful....breakfast time was met with red-rimmed eyelids, stale biscuits, and paper plates. And to leave on a positive note, the front desk staff was sweet as pie.
