Hong Kong Restaurant in other cities:
Got some fried rice this was in it and there is a worm on it ! Took it to the lady working who was about to give us our money back till the other lady went and got a guy from the back to come scream at me saying that’s how it’s cooked ! I said I worked at a Chinese restaurant I’ve made fried rice this is not supposed to be like this ! They wouldn’t give us our money back and had the guy scream at us until we finally left
This place is great! Its $10 per person for an all you can eat Chinese buffet. Its a pretty good deal. Theres a couple things Ive yet to try, but there a few chicken options that are way too salty. I dont mind it though because they have other selections so Ill just eat something else. The food is pretty good other than that. The place is pretty clean because they have people just clearing empty plates left and right. Dont know the shape of the bathrooms, but yeah, this place is pretty good, I would definitely go again.
My eggroll was pretty good. Thats the only positive I can really say about this place. Lo mein is bland and doesnt use actual lo mein noodles, boneless spare ribs taste like Chinese 5 spice which definitely shouldnt be in this dish. Pretty much tastes like someone looked up recipes on allrecipes.com or a similar site, went with cheaper alternative ingredients and then butchered them. The egg roll was pretty good though.
Unfortunately the lady who takes the money is so rude. Also when its hot as heck and humid outside, I expect a nice cool restaurant to eat in. Especially at an $11 lunch buffet, but its hot as heck and we get to sweat through our meal. Ming Moon will get my business next time.
Hong Kong is a great place to bring the whole family. The food tastes great, the wait staff are attentive – though hard on English – and clean dining ware and facilities. The only complaint Id have is sometimes the food gets left out too long and the chicken becomes chewy, to avoid just visit during busier hours and youll enjoy the stay.
Possibly the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. None of my food was warm, the sushi was not sat on any ice, the steak tasted like it had gone bad, and the overall cleanliness of the place was lacking. I’m really not sure how this place stays busy at all! Was truly a waste of my money and I couldn’t even stand to eat the food.
The most aweful experience Ive had yet by far in a family setting restraunt... I brought my family here I ask for a high chair for my autistic son whom is 2 yo.. they get mad because I insist on a high chair and wont put him in a regular chair... So they literally toss the highchair at my table it fell to floor scared my kids... Then the entire stay they refused to clear my table of plates..etc.. lucky they got 1 star from me I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone....
I was really craving some Chinese food on my way home, so I stopped by this Restaurant and ordered the Mongolian Beef combo which came with fried rice and egg roll. The egg roll is perfectly crunchy and soft, and the Mongolian Beef was well seasoned. Also I love their creation of their protection trading window in order to keep their customers and employee safe!
I wish they still had the rice noodles on the bar. They are my favorite! The food they do have is good. They do not have as many choices as the other Chinese buffet but it is not as expensive either. (And we didnt have to wait forever for steak!) My 2 year old loved the fried fish and mac and cheese!
We just ordered delivery from this Restaurant. My advice is DON’T!! I have never tasted anything as fowl as the food that they serve. Horrible taste, the beef was raw, even the Fortune Cookies were stale. It went directly to the outside trash can. I doubt that stray animals will eat it. TOTALLY DISGUSTING. And Door Dash customer service was awful.
Food is decent. The staff is nice and clears the table quick. Some of the people you bump into here tho, wow. Like the grown women having a mini food fight behind us. Something comes flying over the table and hits one of us. For real? Some of you all need to take your meal to-go. One of many strange encounters. Oh yeah, some other person was eating out of the tray at the buffet or coughed on the tongs...it was something gross I cant remember specifically but damn, make yourself at home I guess.
I don’t see why there is any bad reviews on this place! I’ve been going here for years and it just continues to get better and better. Friendly employees! Great customer service! I have never had not one bad experience! I highly recommend this to all you Chinese food lovers!!
This restaurant was pretty good, especially for the location. I think everyone in our group got the buffet. Even though I have been to other Chinese restaurants with a large selection of dishes, Hong Kong had everything I wanted. The food was fresh and had decent flavor.
The ladies are friendly the men and young girls could be a little more friendly but the good is good and many Asian and American selections available. And a different main dish on weekends on the side bar by the seafood deletions. Slightly pricier on the weekends for them not to offer things like crab legs and crab cakes and more shrimp options but overall its a great place to eat lunch or dinner any day. My son and I go there too or three times a week. I love the coconut shrimp, mixed vegetables, crab rangoon and spring rolls.
Not a 10 dollar buffet by a long shot. Few choices. Most not good. Greasy spring rolls. Bland hot and sour soup with nothing hot about it. Burnt dumplings. They really hang their hat on being in the top 100 buffets in 2010, but there’s definitely a reason that was eight years ago. I eat carbs once a week and I’m really mad I spent my cheat meal on this place.
This place was terrible. We recently moved to the area and were in search of a new Chinese buffet. Needless to say this will not be it. When paying for our food we had a birds eye view into the kitchen. It was a total disaster. I almost decided to leave then. We headed towards the available seating and the floors were so sticky my sandals broke because the bottom of my shoes literally stuck to the floor. The first two plates I grabbed at the buffet were covered in rice. I was pretty sure at that point that I shouldnt eat the food, but my husband insisted that we try it. The egg drop soup was good. I liked they offered chives. After that everything I tried was unpalatable. It was disgusting. I barely suffered through a whole plate and then begged for us to leave. My husband wasnt thrilled with his selections either. So we headed out. What we did manage to keep down haunted us for two days after our visit. Even our five year old suffered intestinal discomfort and he only ate the sweet and sour chicken. Beware this place. It is not your friend. We will not be going back again.
We have been customers of Hong Kong for the past 10 years. Since they opened the buffet side the quality of the food has gone down hill. This last time we went they hit rock bottom. We had ordered items to go and instead of making the food fresh they gave us cold leftovers from the buffet. To top it off they were rude and gave me an attitude when i brought it to their attention. We will never eat there again!! It is a shame because they use to make great food.
This Chinese Buffet has a cultural integration of American Food in its Buffet line as well as the expected Chinese cuisine. The establishment is always cleanly in appearance, and staff are quick to clean up when your plate is finished. The reason it received 4 starts as opposed to 5 is because the food, on less populated days, is often cold or stale.
A great buffet spanning 4 bars full of food. Usually have steamed shrimp and two can have the buffet and drinks for a $20 bill Sundays. Steak dishes are surprisingly tender and my personal fav chicken and broccoli always has huge pieces of beautiful fresh broccoli. A few American staples (fries, nuggets, fried fish, mozzarella sticks, etc.) are sprinkled in for the kids. Only negatives are the lack of a few more hot veggie dishes (although some may consider a meat heavy buffet a feature) and occasionally some of the food temperatures seem a bit erratic.
The quality of their food has decreased significantly in the last year or so. All of the food tastes of oil (enough oil already), the meat in most dishes is rubbery and poorly cooked. The egg and spring rolls are awful. A lot of the food sits out. I gave them a number of tries, but not again.
Everything was good, except for the extra order of fried wontons because I love wontons and I was excited to eat them. Well when I got back to my hotel, they were burnt and did not even look like wontons. They were black on the inside and I’m pretty mad about it. They even said 15 minutes wait time, which is plenty of time to have to not burn wontons. Probably won’t go to this location again.
We have a werid tradition of going to Chinese restaurants on Christmas Day as a family. This buffet was the only place open, so we decided to try it. Price is $10 bucks a person, standard for a Buffett. This one however is super small compared to others I have been to. You have the staple Chinese foods with the exception of white rice (this bugged me as I get fried rice). The buffet selections made no sense to me and did not seem appetizing. Two pre cut simple cake options for deseirt. Not worth the $10 as you can go other place where the buck will take you further in selection. I can’t recommend this place.
Terrible food we chose poorly coming to this joint, I watched an older China woman snatch a chicken leg off the buffet eat it in one fail swoop and wipe her mouth with her hands then come and got my plate, everything I tried there was nasty except the sesame chic but there was only 3 pieces of it, I’m assuming the same chicken leg lady got to most of it before I did! Eat at your own risk!!
Hong Kong many years ago used to be a great place to eat but have gone downhill over the years. Effort is minuscule on cook s part and there is a lack of welcoming presence in the restaurant. Food quality is subpar e.g. uncooked, flavorless and tough foods. The atmosphere is in a satisfactory state.
I went there this evening and the food was TERRIBLE!!! The food was cold, the food trays were empty, and I noticed that people were walking up to the buffet tables and going back out the door. SMH.. I will not be returning back here until the problem is corrected. Or maybe not. I could also hear the other customers complaining about their food. I will be taking my business else where until further notice.
I work at Lowes, just next door. I received a call from Hong Kong today, because I answered I guess the gentleman assumed I was the only one who worked there, when really we have 130 employees. Anyways he told me the food I had ordered was ready, which I had not ordered anything from them...ever. Anyways I told him it was not me who ordered, he proceeded to accuse me of making fake orders and then started cussing me out calling me every name in the book, seriously...I continued to tell him there are a 130 employees in the store, and that I was sorry they didn’t get the name for the order but it wasn’t my fault. He then cussed me some more and told me to never come back to his resturant, then he hung up on me. I can guarantee you I will never go there and I will also tell the numerous contractors I come in contact with on a day to day basis not to go there as well. I don’t appreciate how the man spoke to me when the whole time he had the wrong person. If that’s how they treat people, then honestly they shouldn’t be in business...I never write reviews either...but felt this one needed to be written.DON’T EAT HERE!!!!!
Considering its located in a small town in the south, it was ok. If youre used to nicer big city buffets, you might want to pass. $9.60 for dinnet including drink. 4 tables with roughly 12 - 15 items each. Food was kind of bland, but plenty in each tray. Clean establishment. If your craving Chinese, then its ok. But, if youre just hungry and trying to decide where to go, you might want to explore other restaurants in the area.
I was impressed, fresh food was being served at 2 pm, the place was clean and the staff was friendly, the waitress thanked me 3 times after I tipped her... this was way above average for a good price... Now about you lousy local drivers.... stay out of the big trucks way.....
I came here to eat with my family 2 adult and one child buffet and I explained to them that I have had gastro. Sleeve surgery and asked if they could charge a childs buffet for me and they refused...why would I pay $8.00 plus for food that Icant eat....will not EVER BE BACK HERE AGAIN....the girls at the register were very rude
I literally drive from Dallas Georgia to this restaurant here in Cartersville just because they have great service with the start of friendly greeting the second you walked through the front door, great prices, very clean environment and most overall this restaurant always has hot fresh food with a little of something for everyones taste makes it fabulous four all ages and I can say I will definitely be back.
I have eaten here several times. The food is very good, but if you do not want to wake up until the next century, eat here. Or if you would like to have liquid ass the rest of the day, eat here. I dont know what the hell is in the food or what kind of dope they are using but if you eat at HONG KONG in CARTERSVILLE you may as well spin the gun and pray your time is not up. The government needs to shut this place down.
These people that are complaining are really stupid and uneducated people. your complaints are absolutely ridiculous and barbaric get a life. . if you have a gastro then why the hell are you at a buffet to begin with. and if you dont like the servers staring at you then become invisible. if they cant see you they cant serve you idiots.and If you wanted an expensive cut of meat then go to a steak house .its a freaking china buffet not a fine dinning restaurant . what do you expect . some people are just ridiculous. yuppies!!.
Been coming here for years went in there today was there maybe 15 minutes .fixed my 2 year old and I a plate . I ate my soup my soup but my child wouldnt let me eat . hadnt even touched and wouldnt give me a Togo box .unless I paid 4.99 a pound . after already paying for the buffet I wont be back .
If you are craving chinese..look no further! I eat here all the time and the food is great. ignore the other reviews that rate it bad... i have no idea how they came to that conclusion. I have to recommend trying their cold calico served over cauliflower, it is to die for! Their special siamese stew is pretty good too. A lot of people like the perisan over rice with pineapple juice, but it just doesnt do it for me. Anyways, check this place out if you are in the mood for chinese and in the cartersville area!
This place has good food . I am always impressed when i go there BUT they are putting other product in the A1 steak sauce bottels . It ruined the steak they cooked it tasted like bbq sauce mixed with a small amount of A1. There is somthing bad wrong i wish i was joking . But it looks like they might be going under . I hope not .
Everything was cold not one thing even warm I watched the lady cleaning tables an she never changed cloths we left cause I get sick to easy for 30mins I watched this we had to leave because of my health so my table wasnt clean who no how long she did that maybe their culture not mine

2022-09-05Some of the food is quite good I’m not gonna lie, but it depends on what days. For instance, we came there on a Sunday and most of the food was just overall not very good. The soup was bland and the seafood was cold; however, the staff are very nice and the restaurant as a whole is very quiet and peaceful.

2022-07-12I eat here everytime I visit my aunt in Adairsville. The food is always good and fresh! The employees are very friendly and helpful. One of the best Chinese Buffets I have eaten at. Not the biggest selection of food Ive seen, but there really is something to be said about quality over quantity.

2022-08-08I thought it was a decent selection of food. The jalapeño and the pepper chicken were both really really good. Would definitely go back.

2020-11-25Did take out and it was a great portion! Sweet and sour chicken was really good. I am not a fan of their fried rice though. It has corn in it and no egg. Employees are kind. Clean. Fast service.

2022-05-20Food was stale and old tasting, definitely not worth $15 dollars for overcooked chicken and mushy crawfish. On top of all that it made me fully sick to my stomach, honestly wouldnt recommend it to my worst enemy and definitely will not be back

2021-06-03Best Chinese Buffet I have been to in years. I was amazed by the quality, variety and taste of the food: steak, sushi and popcorn shrimp on a Saturday for less than $10 per person.
