Someone recommended this place to me. I’ve passed it so many times and never noticed it. I finally tried it and it’s delicious! The food is made fresh and the customer service great! I’d definitely recommend! Great prices too!
Wow! A fast food place that serves conch fritters, gizzards and livers and a variety of fried fish! I only ordered the crab cake for myself this visit because I had already eaten a large meal elsewhere before discovering this spot. It was large and flavorful and well worth the $2.99, IMO. A little too much salt in the coating for my taste, but not enough to keep me from wishing Id bought two after Id eaten it! Will definitely be back!

This place was absolutely garbage they served our food over soggy white bread.... The food was overly greasy and just not very good the fish was bland the shrimp overcooked and rubbery. Will not be revisiting.
Ive been a patron since opening day and I must say that is consistently delicious. Great customer service and in and out in a matter of 8 to 10 minutes! You must try it! Catfish stay on point.

So this was my first time eating conch and it was amazing. The food was perfectly cook and piping hot.
We had the most delicious food today! I had catfish and shrimp and my husband had chicken tenders and wings. We also had chocolate German cake. It’s one of the most delicious meals we’ve had in a long time. I loved the taste of the breading on the fish and shrimp. The gentleman at the window was so kind and greeted us warmly. Will definitely be back again!

Reminds me of my hometown Chicago Food. My mom ordered Snapper and livers. I ordered the chkn wings extra Season. That season soooo good over the fries. Food was fresh and service was fast. This is my new spot now I will be returning often along with my family.
My catfish was fried to a crisp but under cooked! I thought second time would be a charm but not! No seasoning on the fries or fish.

There are quick mean choices by numbers or make own selection availability.Ate 5 shrimp and grouper with fries added Coleslaw. Enjoyed it thoroughly. The Conch is also delicious. Never had it before. It has a small and large portion to order. There is a lemon pepper after topping that just sets it all off to the maximum best.Anytime have been offered to choose a place for food this has been the choice still enjoyable... now have brought new people who have enjoyed and become customers now.
Catfish was not fully cooked like the grease was too hot
The conch seemed over cooked, food cook use more seasoning to taste on fried foods. I loved the fried oysters. Ready to go back to try the wings and then I can update my review.
I have frequent there restaurant several times. I spend between $20-40/week. Today I go and order my usual, 10 piece wing dinner and 1 piece catfish. I pay and get my food no problem. I open up my bag and it is tilapia. I ride around to the drive through and tell them it’s tilapia and not catfish. The cashier lies and says it’s catfish like I do not know the difference between the two. I have been eating fish all my life. Tilapia doesn’t look like catfish and doesn’t taste the same. The problem is I have had this problem more than once. The first time I just threw the food away and was like maybe it was an honest mistake but mentioned it the next I came. The second time I asked them to give me catfish. They did, no problem. This time the man was rude kept saying it wasn’t right and that was not right. Because he wouldn’t give me catfish like I asked, I requested a refund. He gave me my money back with an attitude. I got home and the wings were burnt or they are using mystery meat. I never saw chicken wings so small and with black skin. It is such a shame because there food is usually really good, fresh, and cooked to order. This is the last time they will gert my money.
Chicken tenders and fries were tasty... Grandchildren loved them. Yet on the other hand, my chicken gizzards were cook too fast and were perfect on the outside but chewy in center.
We ordered fried Tilapia, fried oysters, fries, and hush puppies. Oh yeah, I cant forget the homemade strawberry lemonade (its to die for). We went through the drive thru, so naturally I started eating, as soon as I got my food. It was so good, I didnt have to put anything on my fish. Oh my goodness, the hush puppies were the best I ever had. Everything was seasoned perfectly. The food was fresh and hot. Great customer service. I was very happy and definitely satisfied.
Look if one and a half stars was a thing that would be what I gave them. So starting with the positive the prices are reasonable & the staff is very friendly. Also the portion sizes are good as well. The place is clean but no paper towels if u do have to use the restroom. Now for the not so good. It simply was a large quantity of bland, tasteless food. I mean not even salt & pepper. Theres no excuse in my opinion to not at least season your fish with old bay. I mean come on even if u didnt know how to season your food they make decent fish fry mixes & again just use some old bay. All in all the shrimp was the best thing by far but would not come back again. Save yourself the trip theres better fish at captain ds.
Great food. The talapia and chicken wings combo is my favorite. Made fresh and the chicken wings are whole wings. When ordering wings, make sure to as for extra lemon pepper seasoning that they make.
Solid seafood spot. Let’s talk about what really matters since most folks want to get into everything else like complaining on Amazon giving two star ratings because a box got beat up by the shipping service, really? The place is clean, the facility isn’t a five star dining joint, but like a local fried fish spot. The staff is friendly and the service great. The food isn’t all salted up or overly seasoned, nor fried to a crisp. But everyone’s pallet isn’t the same. Some folks like their coffee with 12 sugars and half a cup of cream. In this case some like a little seafood with their sodium and chlorine iodine. Keep up the good work guys, you have my repeat business.
This is a descent place, with pretty quick service. I had the six wings w/fries dinner and it was enough to share with someone else. The price was good and it taste good, but nothing over the top. I will eat there again
Amazing food. I order the catfish with shrimp and my wife ordered the chicken fingers with shrimp. It was 24$ and completely worth it. Huge portions and you can tell it is all cooked fresh!!! We will definitely be return customers!!!
Great food cooked to order which is rare at a drive in these days. I had two catfish and 10 shrimp and waaaay too much food. Definitely worth trying to see how it suits you.
I went through the drive thru during the covid 19 crisis. I ordered 2 #18, one with tilapia and one with cat fish because I love cat fish, two cakes - red velvet and strawberry, cheesesticks and corn nuggets. The portions are huge. I had the catfish and it was great. I also had the corn nuggets and they were amazing. My son had the tilapia and he loved it although he is a picky eater. The food was not overpowering in flavor. It had good settle flavor and you could taste the fish very well. The fries were good and the cheesesticks were good and cheesy which is something not necessarily found. Overall this place is good. I do not know how the inside is because I went during the crisis. But I would definitely recommend the place.
I found out about them from a brochure someone passed out at the fireworks show in Evans Town Centre. It happened to be National Fried Chicken Day, so I wanted to try something new versus going with the tried and true Marylands Fried Chicken. First, I want to say it is the rare restaurant that I know of in this and the Atlanta area that uses full wings versus wing pieces. My husband wanted mild sauce on his, but Im not sure they carry that. I think they use lemon pepper seasoning on everything- wings, okra, fries. It makes it slightly salty. When I see clearly salt crystals, I feel like Im priming myself for cardiac arrest. My advise is that any seasoning should be well integrated into the batter so its seamless and not visible. Instead, it looks like it was added by shaker shortly after the items were taken out of the fryer. I wish them well, as they look like a family owned, friendly business. I hope that they can eventually be charitable to the homeless that are attracted to the site by offering them small jobs like keeping the parking lot clean in exchange for a meal. Otherwise, their presence could deter paying customers.
BEWARE.....NO SEASONING!!!So like everyone has already said the food is very fresh and made to order. I ordered snapper and shrimp meal. This was my first time ordering fish from them. I have ordered the reg chicken wings and shrimp before. The shrimp is always good and the chicken wings are fried well but they have no flavor or seasoning. Well the fish also had no seasoning just like the wings. They put lemon pepper on everything after its cooked but absolutely no seasoning on the chicken wings or the fish prier to cooking. This sucks because the food is fried well, just has no flavor and that messes up the meal.
Very clean restaurant and fish is cooked perfectly BUT check your order. Ordered conch and got fish fillet. Conch is a seafood but not a fish. Ordered a side of fried okra which was not in my bag when I got home. Sweet tea was not too sweet and very fresh. Prices need to come down to compete with other fast food seafood and chicken establishments in the area.
The chicken and shrimp were great! I love the hush puppies. The added lemon pepper season was unexpected but tasted great. I just wouldnt put the bread under the fried food. But other than that, Ill be back.

These are the BEST chicken tenders I have ever gotten. They are so juicy with just the right crunch and HUGE. You get so much food for your money. 10/10 would recommend!

It probably would have been better if I ordered to go. The food tasted good. But I wasnt given a fork to eat my fish fillet with and didnt see any available so I ate with my hands. Their drinks are served in bottles so refills arent possible, so for someone like me that needs to wash down my food I had to ration my water or pay for another bottle. The staff wasnt rude or anything but didnt seem very enthusiastic either. I expected a more enthusiastic greeting from a new business.

Food & service was great! I got the catfish & it was delicious. I stumbled upon this place when one of the owners, a nice young man who actually served me on my visit, gave me a brochure at the 4th of July show in Evans.This looks like a family business & I wish them well! Ill be back. They are open late on weekends so this is the place to be in Augusta if you get a late night craving for some fish. Just a few recommendations - you need to provide ice for your customers & canned drinks are ok but soda fountain drinks would be even better on a hot summer night! Im giving Hooks & Cook 5 stars!

First time there. The Service was good,friendly and answered my many questions. About my order I didnt receive one item(Cole slaw) paid extra. Mybad I didnt check my order.Didnt get the condiments I asked for. I ordered the fried snapper a $32 meal. It was freezer burned and really dry and it had bones in it. A filet shouldnt have bones.No seasoning on them at all. The fries were wimpy.I Love fish but I cant pay$32 to eat someone elses freezer burn.

Absolutely loved it being from Miami and living in Augusta we needed something with some fried conch and some fried shrimp and fried chicken with shake lemon pepper I am extremely happy and I was very satisfied with the food that I received.
Food was so good I had to go two days back to back! Hot & Fresh. Only thing I didn’t like was the ranch or lemon season that they sprinkle on top. NO CONPLAINTS.

2022-04-19Excellent customer service, and the food was delicious! I will definitely be returning.Im not sure why there is complaints on the seasoning, my food was seasoned very well.Also, the reviews regarding the bread being under the food, that is done to absorb any grease from fried foods so your food doesnt sit in it. Perhaps thats just a culture knowledge thing.

2022-03-13The staff were nice. The drive-through is a little tricky with a truck. Thats not a negative, just be aware when you visit. Another not-negative to be aware of, it is not fast food. It is cooked fresh, so expect to wait just a little bit. I ordered the catfish filet plate. There was plenty of food, good sized portions of fish and fries. The breading was absolutely perfect - great taste and consistency. The fish was piping hot, fresh cooked. The fillet came out done, but mushy. Properly cooked, it should be flaky. I could not eat more than half of a filet. I will wait a while and try them once more just because everything else really was positive. I will amend my review accordingly.

2019-07-13This place recently opened a few weeks ago. They mostly serve fried stuff, like chicken and seafood, and the restaurant itself was kind of warm (not air conditioned), but the quality of the food was pretty decent. Specifically the chicken was fried well and they used high quality chicken. Just order takeout, dont eat at the location.
