Hudson Grille in other cities:
My husband and I dined here right before going to the game. The food and drinks were great! The host was welcoming and our server Draper was great! We loved him! The restaurant was clean too from the host to the dining area and bar 😍 The woman manager “GeeGee” was very professional and seemed to get along great with the guests and the staff. We wanted to come back here after the game for some drinks but we needed to beat the traffic. This has been the best experience I’ve had dining at a sports bar in Atlanta for sure. Thank you Hudson grille downtown team
Yikes, 2 1/2 star average after 400 reviews! Well, I didnt find it to be that bad. Food is decent. Drink selection is good, especially if you want beer and mixed drinks. Its a sports bar. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. TVs available for games, as you would expect from a sports bar.Food is diverse. Burgers, sandwiches, wings and some specialty plates. I got the wings and was very happy with them. There are better places to eat in downtown. This place was decent. I would not have a problem eating here again.
The food was great, the drinks were amazing and Pascal was WONDERFUL. My mother doesnt like ME sometimes, but she LOVED him. He took great care of her and she can be hard to please, believe me. He took great care of the whole two table party we had, and it was a LOT to handle. It was a great first time, but well definitely be back with more people and to try more things on the menu.
Alright honestly, Hudson when properly staffed and not having covid troubles is probably a good place. That said came down on Sunday after finishing up from convention and it was definitely struggling with its staff. They were definitely apologetic and did their best, just be aware just like everywhere else they are doing best they can. I didnt have too much trouble with size and cost of the buffalo wrap that ordered and the pretzel was great as an appetizer. All and all a place Ill keep in mind when Im down for conventions in the area and want to spread out a little.
Hudson Grille is a great sports bar. Tons of space on the patio for outdoor dining. It is right in the heart of ATL, by State Farm Arena, CNN Center, and Centennial Park. We dropped in for a late lunch and we’re in a bit of a hurry. They sat us quickly and Charles took our order very quickly. Kudos to the Hostess and Charles for great service! We ordered sandwiches and salads, which were wonderful! We saw the Shrimp and grits at another table when we were walking out. We will definitely return to Hudson’s Grille to give that a try next time.
Stopped in for some food after a concert. Little slow getting in but later realized they were shorthanded. Food was great and the servers were even better. Those 2 guys were doing the work of 5 and made it look easy. Ill definitely make it a point to go back again the next time I visit Atlanta.
I ate lunch here today. The wings were spot on. The service was excellent. I want to recognize my server - I believe her name is Darlene. She was an absolute delight. all smiles, checked on me regularly, so very kind. Hudson Grille is fortunate to have her on their team!!
The food is not as good as it used to be.... They used to have really good Mac & cheese now its just blah. We went a little before closing so I couldnt have expected any better but dang that chicken my friend had was the driest piece of meat I ever tasted. How you serve herb chicken without any herbs. It was just disappointing. Our server was good though her did a great job taking care of us even though he got sat with 4 tables at once.
After being seated, I waited 20 minutes before any server came to take my drink order. Ordered boneless wings and they brought me bone in wings. Even then, there was still a bone in wing included in my boneless wing order. I will never return to this location. Manager took his mask down and spoke over me and my food.
My friend found a part of a glove in her sandwich, not even kidding. Portions were all over the place. Salads were massive and sandwiches were small?? Other than that the other food was okay, nothing worth going back for, but it was there. Wait staff was very nice though. They’re great. The kitchen just needs some work.
Really good food with large portions, quick service, lively sports bar atmosphere and our waitress was great. My family urged me to check off five stars as they also approved of everything. Hudson Grille will definitely be on my favorites list for whenever I’m in the Atlanta downtown area.
Visiting here in Atlanta and of all the places, Hudson was only resteraunt, within walking distance, open at 10pm. I got the Jambalaya and the wife got the pear and goat cheese salad. Both were fantastic. The Jambalaya had some heat, just enough and nice seasoning flavors. The salad had fried goat cheese medallions and was a good portion of food.
Great place to gather with friends. Light breeze on a hot summer afternoon made for pleasant outdoor dining. Food was good and I did tje scotch bonnet wings challengeThose wings are wonderfully flavored and still hot enough to make you appreciate the heat! Nice T-shirt now in my collection. Thx to the Hudson Grill staff.
Wonderful atmosphere. Great sports bar with lots of TVs everywhere. You could dine inside or in their highly spacious outside dining area. The waiters and waitresses were professional, knowledgeable & highly personable. The food was outstanding. My compliments to their chef.
Been here many times and usually have a good time before or after Atlanta United games, but the last 2 times we have been here have been very unpleasant experiences. Both time have taken about 20 min to just get to talk to the hostess and check in and be told what the wait is. Then even if we do get to sit down, no waitress come for a long time. I let it slide the first time because there was a lot going on, but the last time there was no reason why it took so long to get a table, a couple beers and some chips and guacamole.
Came there last night at around 10 pm, the server came and ask if we dine in, We Said Yes and want to set outside, she said shell gonna check the table, after 20 mins. of standing at the host stand. the server never came so we decided to go, and when we get out, we saw her busy massaging the other crew. hows that as good and nice crew.
Awful experience…2 days in a row. Came in town for a conference and pretty sure the fact that we were out of town guests, had something to do with being told they were “closed” when we tried going to this bar. We were not welcomed or respected with common curtesy. Wednesday we walked in around 11:30 and were told they were closed. Yesterday (Thursday) a group of 12 of us from various states came in at 12:20 and we were told they we not open. Meanwhile other patrons were out on patio with full drinks….hmmm interesting. I’m not a complainer, typically I share only post positive experiences but felt the need to share. Could have a good night with the team, oh well!! Best of luck!!
Overpriced, Small Portions that dont even taste that great. Ordered online for a pickup order and got a text saying the food was ready then stood inside by the door for an hour before I got my food. Didnt receive utensils or napkins with my order. Server at the front was rude. I wouldnt wish this fate upon my worst enemies.
Our waiter brought out the food without silverware. Fortunately, we were next to their station. I asked for more water, which never came, I had to go to the bar and get it. These are just a few incidents of lack of service that occurred that night. The food was good, but the service was awful
Understanding that it was a Sunday afternoon and there was a concert about to start at the stadium so waiting for a table was expected. Just did not expect it to be over an hour.Once we got sat down beer order came in reasonable time frame but all other drinks took almost 45 minutes. Server was not very attentive at service. Spent an hour waiting for her to come back to take food order.Tacos were good but not hot barely warm. The steak n shrimp was cold and overcooked. Salad had no dressing but looked good.On top of that we had to get our own utensils which turn out to be plastic To Go type.May be ok if not crowded but definitely avoid if it is.
Hello...I went here on a very hot day in Atlanta and the waitress staff took a break at the table next to me...I was trying to have a conversation with my guest but all we could hear was their conversation....We never got a water refill and my drink was extremely weak...we asked for some kind of discount and was told that the gm was strict and wont give us one for the drink but he wasnt strict enough to tell his staff not to have personal conversations at the table next to us...I work in a restaurant right across the street and I have a higher work ethic and professionalism than him and his staff...beware of Hudson grille
Chill place, great music (not too loud during the day so you can still talk) plenty of gluten free options here so you will NOT be stuck eating fries but they also admit it the gluten free is NOT completely safe from possible contamination. Brought my toddler during the day. they have a kids menu and boosters. Lots of outdoor seating. Great staff our server Leena was highly energy and super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. 08 it to We had wings, gluten free bbq chicken Sammy, and a hot dog and Mac and cheese for the kiddo. The Mac and cheese is. Well its not easy mac, I think its scrate but its jus tbland unfortunately .maybe too much flour in the roux, I dont know.
Horrible experience, wont be going back. My server Trinity was horrible and the host was to busy complaining about everything and everybody. The ribs combo was trash, and the wings that came with it were cold, my partners sandwich was hard as a rock on top like it was sitting under the warmers for a while. Got served the wrong drinks but they took so long we didnt even ask for a remake on top of all that Trinity tried to charge us for food we ordered but never received, always look over the bill before you pay.
I try to be mindful that there is a pandemic going on and this could be reason for issues at times. The staff was friendly and tried to accommodate as much as they could. The set up that they have is a little unorganized. So it took a while for our order to be taken. After putting in our order..my food came out pretty quickly but my two friends had to wait another 30min or so for their food to be brought out. A couple orders were brought to the table but not our orders. So anyway, it was just very unorganized. The manager tried to help at much as possible so I respected that. The scorpion stinger sauce for wings were good. I ordered the macaroni bowl as well. It wasnt really what I was thinking. Reminded me of a Alfredo or very mild white cheddar. The salmon was cooked well but not super flavorful to be blackened. The fried onions on top were soggy, not crunchy, didnt taste the best and the lemondmade was weird tasting. Again, I liked the menu so would be willing to try again post Covid to see if things are better. I also think they were overwhelmed this night.
We really loved this restaurant. Located perfectly next to Centennial Park, CNN & State Farm Arena, this cozy restaurant has indoor or outdoor seating. We started off with an appetizer- Jalapeño Cheese Balls. We got like 5 or 6 and they were $7.95. Very tasty. Then i got the Philly Cheese Steak with tater tots ($10.95). Served perfectly. My friend had the Megatron Burger with a Cesar salad. ($12.95). She enjoyed just as much. And her mother had the Shrimp Tacos. ($4.95 each). She really liked them.Over a great atmosphere and excellent service (Brittany). Will def be back!!!
I arrived here at 6:45 pm. After waiting for 15 minutes for a table of five, we were finally seated. Sitting at the table, the waitress FINALLY came over to take our drink and food order. 20-25 minutes go by and still no drinks or appetizers. At 8:50 pm I called for one of the managers (Brandon) came to the table and stated we were with a new server, but not one time did I see his assistance with the NEW PERSON. So, when the food came out, the appetizer came out with the food, and just warm, not hot to order. My experience was hororable and then I had to get home which was over 250 miles away from this place...Was not pleased with this place AT ALL
The Food was Good. THE Womens Bathroom was Flooded So I brought it to Management Attention and they Cleaned up the Flooding, whereas there was Plumbing Issues. Keep in mind anyone could have Slip and Fall. So Personally I would have Closed the Womens Bathroom and had Someone to deep Clean The Mens Bathroom and had someone to Monitor the Bathroom like A Family Restroom until the Womens Bathroom Plumbing Issues was Resolved.
Always a warm welcome here! Friendly service, good food and drinks, diverse crowd, outdoor seating and bar, clean restrooms. Love their $5 blueberry lemondrop (see photo)- I recommend ordering a shot of vodka with it (theyre not strong enough, lol). Bartenders are super friendly!
We waited for our water for around 10 minutes after being seated, after ordering a a big salad add steak and a cold cuts sandwich with a side salad we waited around 30 minutes. The place was not packed, many of the staff was playing around right in front of us. The food looked great and that was about all that was great about this experience. The food was a little less than ok even for bar food. I travel a lot and never grade my experiences low without good reasons. Good quick service with mediocre food can make a person think favorably of a restaurant. In this case we had poor service and subpar food. I recommend staying away from this establishment.
I ordered spinach dip appetizer and it took so long to come out, it came out with the food. The chicken tenders were over cooked and fried to a crisp! It was like chewing on hard rubber. The service was way less than satisfying. Im not sure if the server was new or not, but I asked for lemon with my water three times and still never received it.
Im not sure if I will come back. I had a burger. It is an average American Bar-Restaurant. My server (Paula) was very nie but it was a very busy night. Try to go when the kitchen is slow (I waited about an hour for my burger). The fries have oven consistency rather than fried texture (not cryspy at all). The meat was too dry. I personally like medium. I saw some people bringing their families, so you might have fun with a large group though. Give it a try and get your own feeling.RATIONALE: The most important matter in a restaurant is a FEEL not a LOOK. You can get to the best Restaurant in the world and have the best food but if you dont feel comfortable within that environment, youll never enjoy it. Chef Marco Pierre White. I review #1 Environment #2 Service #3 Food. My five stars ussually go to places that made me feel at home.
Absolutely HORRIBLE. This place has the worst service ever. 45 minutes to get a drink when maybe 20 people were in the restaurant. 3 out of the 5 in our group had wrong orders. Food came before one member even got their drink. Salad was served with black, wilted lettuce and over cooked grilled chicken. Nice staff, but obviously not their calling. Customers shouting, chanting and being ridiculously inconsiderate of others.
Only came for a drink luckily… Overheard servers talking about rats in the kitchen ceiling … then as we’re coming out a woman outside tells us about the roach infestation … not to fail and mention the terrible sewer like smell on the patio! Definitely just a place to order drinks
Noisy sports bar with a solid selection of local craft beers. Calm, fast service and the Bavarian Brezeln were adequate. I just couldnt get over the indoor-pool noise level. On top, some obnoxious guys commented a baseball game with a constant stream of profanities at rather elevated volume. 4 stars because its a sports bar. Supporting your team and badmouthing the other one is probably the reason for watching a game publicly. The bar part was pleasant.
Listen, the service here was absolutely unacceptable. I was with a party of 10-13 people. We waited over an hour for seating, finally seated and had one older guy as our server. This man could not multi task. This was the day of the Atlanta Braves Parade so the restaurant should prepared better for the large crowd and large partys. When My food finally came out, my order was given to the wrong person. Someone that had literally just joined our party. I was definitely upset after having waiting an extremely long time. I would like to one day try this place again in hopes of better service and experience great food.
1/26/2022I wouldnt suggest coming here often at all. I used to be a regular & Metrotainment Cafe Loyalty Member as far back as 2012 but Ive been coming less and less often because of the terrible service at times. I used to speak highly of this place and this location. Ive Spent thousands of dollars here but Ill let everyone I know to not even spend hundreds here unless something is changed or some kind of better training is put in place. On January 26th, 2022, around 9pm, Two Black Female Bartenders were just sitting around talking and ignoring me for 15mins at the bar ... but as soon as a white couple walked in and sat at the bar, they received IMMEDIATE service. As a former bartender, Ive noticed this profiling or discrimination happening plenty times by SPECIFIC bartenders. Most of them are pretty decent and personable to guests. The Black female manager in a Dark Green Blouse and Black Pants never checked to see if I received service either. However, was more focused on clocking out to leave than any customer in the building. No customer NEEDS to dine at Hudson Grille or reccomend other go Hudson Grille but most who receive a terrible experience from Hudson Grille will never say anything and just never come back, go somewhere else, and tell others to do the same. Wish you all the best.
We asked a local about good places to eat. They suggested Hudson Grille. We went there for dinner and seat outside because it was very nice that day. We was very disappointed. We order Fried pickles, wings, and Fries to share. Nothing we ordered really tasted good. I also ordered a beer and never got it. The food was pretty gross so I decided not to even worry about it. Plus the servers never came back to our table after we ordered so I couldnt ask for it anyways. other servers brought us our food and they just dropped it off and ran. I saw our server actually walking out of the front door and walking around the corner of the building a few times but never back to our table. She finally showed up to ask us if we wanted dessert and to give us our tickets. We paid and left. We was very disappointed.
Typical american food items, lighter fare also available, cooked prefectly, but I wasnt blown away by any of it. The service was ok, drinks were good, and lots of tvs to watch sports. I tried the apricot grilled salmon, roasted crab dip, and my friend had the turkey burger. I like the convenient downtown location, where parking is reasonable and directly across the street.
Must be an off night. Waited over an hour for food and it comes out thrown together. Fish was super tough, chicken wasn’t much better. Waitress was super nice and tried her best, kitchen and manager didn’t seem to back her up though. They tried with some comped desserts but really it was still just not a good experience.
The atmosphere is mysteriously dark, with TVs on every inch of the walls. Not too full with guest, clearly not busy. It took our server Britney 23 mins to recognize us. We placed our order, Harvest salad & Chicken strips w/side Ceasar salad, which took an additional 39 mins to finally receive. But to my surprise, it was fresh, hot & delicious! Star taken for being soooo slow without an explanation!
Typical and unexpectedly goodTuesday night downtown Atlanta in the time of Covid where do you eat under 100 per plate? HUDSONThis is on the surface your typical sports bar but with 40 beer taps a modestly good wine list a large selection of liquors a broad menu with the BEST shrimp and grits Ive found. Try it
Ok so I’m going to be really honest about this place. They are making tons of money probably because of the location. Kudos! People are employed and that’s all that matters. We stopped here for a bite to eat before heading to the Mercedes Benz Stadium for Monster Jam. I expected a long wait because again this area is in a prime location and the restaurant itself is eye catching and can attract almost anyone. Rob was our bartender and he was amazing! He practically ran the entire bar that seats over 25 seats. He did it with ease and has an awesome smile and personality. Now the food. The jalapeño stuffed pepper! Yes they are super super delicious. The 3 for $10 tacos, which I had shrimp was ok. And the Hudson Sliders kind of dry and bland. This place is perfect for a “bar hopping, night on the town drinking spot”. Cause when your drunk you just need food to soak up the poison of alcohol. But for a sit down, date night or with the family and you are trying to have some good tasty yummy food, you probably should pass. But hey it’s just my opinion and I’m glad to have shared it with you.
We went to this bar after the hawks vs nuggets game. We went with a group of 20 people to this bar and grille. After about 15 minutes. We were told we had to leave by one of the waitresses because we were “taking up too much space”. As a business owner, I’d want the most people in my restaurant as possible. We left and went to a hotel bar which had zero problems with our group and had excellent service. Plus I’m not sure why, but it was at least 80 degrees inside the bar. I would never go to this place again. Avoid at all costs.
This is a good place that has something for everyone. Service was very good and the food is tasty. The bbq sauce they use is a little more smokey flavor then sweet which wasnt what I was expecting. Also the taco you have to tell them how many you want, the menu doesnt specify that you only get one. The chicken and waffles was the best out of all the things we ordered. The chicken is super crispy and the waffle has a cinnamon sugar coating.
My friends and I came here to watch the NBA finals. We all got drinks and food. The server was friendly and attentive. The food was good and there were plenty of tvs and space to accommodate my party size. The bathrooms were clean, especially considering it was a bar and there were so many people. The pricing was a little steep and I only say that because the plating of the food did not match the pricing. Still though, the food was good and we had a great time and I know we Can partly thank the atmosphere of the restaurant for that. It was fun, the waiters joked with us and were willing to accommodate our large party size of about 11-12.
If you go late at night BE PREPARED TO WAIT! I went with a party of 6 and got there around 10 p.m. The wait was about 45 minutes but we entertained ourselves so it didnt seem long at all. Our waitress Skye was great and she was very honest. The food, drinks and atmosphere was great! I will definitely go back!
Literally the nastiest place I have ever been. Avoid this place if you can. Trash on the floor, the bathroom had feces and vomit on the walls and floor…disgustingI took the liberty of actually staying as this was my only option, that was a mistake. The food was cold and gross. I should have went to bed hungry…
My friend and I walked in during non-prime hours and were sat at a table. Waited for 20 minutes for a server and didn’t receive any service. Two servers walked by promising to get our table’s server and no one returned. We went to ask if there was a server for our table and were told that the manager would be over - they never came. Finally someone came by and said they were “helping our server out.” She just now took our order, so perhaps by the time you read this review we will have eaten.P.S. mold on the menu...
Im only giving it a star so I could write a review this place is horrible! The hostess was unfriendly and acted like it was troubling to do her job. The outside area was very unpleasant. The service was so slow and incomplete we had to ask for silverware after we received our food. Which was so bland never have I just tasted nothing. And lets not forget about the roach that crawled out from under my table.
Let me preface, Ive been a server for years and I normally only review other places when the service is on either end of the spectrum - good or bad. I would not recommend this place. Server (Niyah? No nametags) was nice, but not attentive. She didnt greet us for 10 minutes, didnt write anything down, and seemed to lack urgency. At the end of the meal she did not clear off dirty stacked plates on the end of the table. The dishes were there for about 30 minutes while she stood around chatting and while I wrote this review. We came in during a slower time when there werent many people at the tables. The appetizer took 20 minutes and the entrees took 50 minutes to arrive during which she came around 0 times other than to take the food order. We ordered some handcrafted lemonades, blueberry and cherry, which were delicious but Niyah never brought or offered waters after the lemonades were drained, so we sat thirsty for about 40 minutes before she came by and we were able to request them. The pulled chicken sandwhich and the jambalaya finally came out, both were cold, and the microwaved macaroni side dish was the tastiest/warmest part of the meal. Server never asked how anything was and charged one person in my party incorrectly for a drink, which wasnt disputed because it wasnt a huge deal.In general, the service was poor with servers more interested in chatting at the hostess stand than attending to their tables. The food had potential, but lacked flavor and execution. I would not eat here again, but I would stop by the bar for some more fried pickes and lemonades as long as it didnt take 2 hours.
Great spot located near State Farm Arena, CNN Center area. Friendly staff and great bartenders. Drink prices werent too bad either. Roomy dine in area and a huge patio with lots of seating. Massive bar area as well. Food was fast and delicious even @ 11pm. I think they are open pretty late, 4am or so. Kitchen stays open late as well. Great spot. Highly recommend.Updated review: Still as good as it ever was. Great drink specials and lively atmosphere. Highly recommend.
Absolutely WONDERFUL!I ate here everyday while I was visiting Atlanta!!!The service was GREAT!Brandon my Server was SO attentive! He helped me with the reunion surprise with my Sister I hadnt seen in 21 yrs! Nothing major just his kindness and great spirit!Food was AWESOME!Great outdoor seating as well. Thanks Hudson Grille for making my trip so pleasant😊
Food is mediocre. Service is abysmal. Charged for a beer we didnt receive and told our waitress. She apologized and said she would get it removed. Brought back my card 10 mins later with the same item still on the bill and had now charged my card. Manager took another 10 mins to fix it. Fine, finally fixed it but we would never go back.
We visited for lunch on a Wednesday afternoon & sat outside on the patio. The staff was friendly and the service was good, but the music outside was so loud! We asked the server if he could turn it down, but he said they dont have control of the volume - the music is off or on, thats it.At times we had to yell to hear each other. If that wasnt the case, we probably wouldve stayed longer and spent more time (and money) there.
Came here my first evening in atlanta as this venue was convenient to my hotel location. Sat and waited on the patio after being acknowledged by the host for 30 minutes without being served by the 2 waiters in this area. I wasnt in a hurry but after being ignored and everyone else served ended up patronizing a street vendorMenu probably was enjoyable but I will never know . Very disappointing 1st experience of Southern Hospitality.
The host was very nice. However, service was awful and management is incompetent and unprofessional. It took 20 min before someone came to me to see if I needed anything. This was after I ordered my food and beverage using the QR code on the table that stated to use it to order. After about 45 min still no food or beverage came. Finally after 1 hour and 15 min with no food or drink, I decided to talk to the manager to get a refund. The manager stated because I ordered using the QR code he was not able to issue me a refund. He tried forcing me to take the food and drink. I politely declined and requested a full refund again he stated he was not able to give me my money back. Ridiculous I have to pay for something I did not receive. I will be filing a dispute with my bank.
One star is really quite generous. I can’t comment on the food because we didn’t stick around long enough to even try it. In fact, we were never even seated, better yet we were never even approached by a worker of the restaurant. We walked in the front and stood by the “Please wait to be seated sign” and made eye contact with many employees but all refused to come seat us. *important note, we waited for 10 minutes* I’m glad the employees were having a fun day on the job though, seemed like they were playing around a good bit and having some fun so good for them, who needs customers anyway?? From what I’ve read about the food it sounds like they were doing us a favor so maybe they do deserve 1 star. You’re better off spending your time elsewhere. Disclaimer: I hate being negative and this is my one and only 1 star review so that should tell you how awful it was.
Had an awesome time tonight. We were starving and ordered a ton of for for the two of us and tried a few draft beers. Everything we got was 10/10. Try the wing sauces they are very unique and delicious. Avocado taco was awesome as well as the giant pretzel and hummus plate! Kim was our server and she was awesome! Super kind, accommodating and funny! Thank you Kim!!
If you aren’t into reading, I wouldn’t choose to go here again. We were there 2 hours and 4 minutes total. Less than 5 minutes to be seated, ordered in a reasonable amount of time, but then took forever to receive the food (about an hour and 45 minutes.) We asked 3 different people to check on the food. I would say they forgot to put in the order, but you could tell the food had been sitting awhile. Plus, they were out of broccoli but told us after the food came out. Food was okay, not great.
The food and drinks were horrible, and so was management. They did not care, it was awful! Not to mention it took a very long time for us to get our food. Im shocked! Hudson Grille was hands down one of my favorite spots. The one on Marietta Street, near State Farm Arena, I will never go there again. I hope the other locations are not like this one.
If i could rate 0 stars i would but instead i have to do 1.1. We sat down2. Took our order3. hour and half passed4. we asked for an appetizer if it could come out before our food5. appetizer came in 5 minutes. it was completelycold.6. we were so hungry we ate it , but told our server to please make sure our food isn’t cold.7. 20 minutes later, food came. we had four people two orders were right and two orders were wrong and all the food was cold.At the end of the day this place needs to establish a better communication and professionalism system. It’s not hard to communicate with paying customers about something their concern for. Our server was great. The management is TRASH.
The food was good but poor service. First off we were skipped on the list while waiting. When my husband noticed we were actually crossed off the list! Then while waiting for our food 2 tables that came in after us got their food before us (even a party that was bigger than ours). I asked for the manager who made it seem like I was just over reacting and went to check on it and sent it out with a runner. Seems like it was there just not brought out to us as the food was just warm, fries cool.
The food was excellent. BUT, what made the experience exceptional was Kayla, our server. She had a great and spunky attitude and told us the truth about the menu(what was good and what wasnt)and she was spot on. She was great with the kids in our group too. We loved her. Highly recommended.
I’m here on 09/08/21 arrived at 10pmish, yes they were very busy which I understand that. However there were more than enough servers just wondering around. Note to the owner, check your cameras. Some of these employees looked like they were drinking as well. Very very unorganized, my food was cold when I finally got it over 1hr and a half later.
Slooowww service. Took an hour to get drinks for the whole table. One drink came out at a time. The server blamed it on the new bar tender but the food took twice as long to come out to us. 2 hours later and we finally got our food. I got a nashville hot chicken sandwich that was average. I did try their award winning wings with the table and we all agreed that they were good. The wings dont make up for the slow service though. 2 out 5 stars. Stop somewhere else if you are nkt trying to wait for 2 hours to eat.
It was great (in my Tony the tiger voice). I had there signature wings in the sweet and spicy sauce almost ate the bones they where that good. My daughter had chicken and waffles said it was the best waffles she had. My wife had jerk salmon sandwich she loved it. Good atmosphere. One of the best experiences dining out of town. Only complaint no salt on fries
The Rueben was over toasted, dry, and lacked enough sour kraut and thousand island dressing. Salmon cake was like a hockey puck, mostly bread. We have been here before about a year or two ago and was drawn back by the yummy fried pickles we had last time. I don’t remember the food being so dry and gross the last time we were there. The fried pickles were the highlight of the meal along with the tacos. Overall, poor food, lovely waitress and was comped for the salmon cake being poor.
Ate here twice . the first time experience was great , great server good food and nice drinks.day after the service wasnt as good as the day before had the wait 15 minutes before even out drink order was taken .the food and drinks were good . and after the rough start was a great evening
Party of 3; no lines, no waiting. Service was good but the kitchen is responsible for the less than perfect rating. The chicken tacos were nothing to write home about. A salad on another order came without the requested chicken. This restaurant with great location near Olympic Park just needs to work harder to rebound from the effects of the pandemic.
I asked for beef nachos I got served nachos with cold cheese and no beef. I sent it back and they cut up a burger and slapped it on top with more cold cheese. My daughter ordered a cheese burger in turn she got a burger no cheese and macaroni that tasted like noodles with no cheese. We definitely wont e back. I was so disappointed because the server was great but the food was horrible
When my wife and I came upon this place we were excited because of the good aroma coming out from it. Smell of BBQ. We were seated and the waitress took forever. Then we wanted either sweet tea or lemonade and they didn’t have it because they didn’t have sugar, but 3 minutes later lemonades were served at the next table. We ordered sprites instead and they tasted like mold. My wife ordered a Caesar salad and the croutons were like ages stale. Bad experience!!! Floors were greasy . And the manager ignored us!
Good food, friendly staff. I loved my server and all the other were so friendly, but they are currently short of staff and it shows in wait times on seating as well as food service in back of house. It was impossible to find our waitress most of the night because she was helping behind the bar as well as patio and main dining.
This did not even deserve 1 star. I was here 3 weeks ago and it was horrible. Service was terrible. Flies were everywhere in the restaurant. I wanted to order a drink and didnt know what to order. The waitress suggested something. I said that was fine... Until I got the bill. She charged me 2 drinks for the 1 I had. I asked a manager about the charge and he asked me if I asked for the double. Once I told him no and started to ask him something, he walked away and brought back a new check and didnt say anything to me. BAD service. Every employee did not care about anyone but themselves. Bartenders were behind the bar, eating and drinking on the job. If you care about yourself, do not come here!
After being seated we literally had no waitress. A guy took our order, but we never received our food. After finding help and waiting for 30 minutes a lady tried her best to find our order. My family received they chicken tenders, but no fries smh. (We ordered a chicken tender meal) 20 more minutes have passed and my mom still never received her steak salad. Silverware were dirty. Greek Salmon burger was a hot mess( the burger was literally falling all over the place once I picked it up. I will never in my life return back to this restaurant. This business is all over the place. Manager was all over the place turning the music up and dance, while employees was taking shots with customers. This has been the worst experience I ever had with a restaurant. My time frame there was from 9:45- 11:30. Didn’t get my food until 10:50pm Rate: —5
Temperature taking and social distancing was foremost going in. We were seated and it took a short while before we had someone to come to see if our drink or dood orders had been taken. Then two others came to check on us. We understand that they were short staffed due to the restrictions. Our orders were taken and after about a 15 minute or so wait (which we didnt mind due to being able to spend time and catch up with our family) our food was served. Everything was great. Each dish that we ordered was hot and inviting. I enjoyed this place so very much and i am glad it was somewhere I visited for my over 50 birthday celebration. You all wgere exceptional.
Horrible. Dirty. They took a good 20 minutes to take our order. They took another 20 to make it. Had I not wasted $15 to park we would have left. Finally got our food. All I had was a classic burger. Terrible, dry, tasteless. Their steak is terrible too. It was all bad. Ive been before but it wasnt dirty and disorganized like it was last night. I am thoroughly disappointed with this place and will never go back. I dont care how hungry I am.
I went here with a group of 25+ for my birthday and it was an awesome experience. They accommodated my party and sat us down within 5-10 minutes. Drink and food prices are super affordable. The manager treated us very well, made me feel at home. He checked on my party frequently and made sure any issued was resolved immediately. The food was great so, overall this was definitely was one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had in the ATL. Definitely will be returning soon !!
We were here for a volleyball tournament so we have expectations that you must be patient. The wait was a little longer than expected after I placed my order (1hr) for the food to come. The sista that took my order was under lots of pressure to handle so many people so I was patient, but while sitting at the bar for 25 minutes (where I placed my order) after I placed my order you get someone who orders and their food comes well before mine got me thinking is someone checking on food orders. Then another patron comes in at least 35 minutes after I ordered got his food before mine. Finally got the person who took my order to go check and voila she brings out my cold food. I’m just hungry at this point and wanted to take my food to go and they never put in napkins, silverware, or condiments. Philly cheese was fine. The chicken avocado panini was below average and my hot dog was not good and couple that with a stale bun plus cold I was like this wasn’t worth $47. I got Mac n cheese with no silverware. You have to not care or be just too stupid to not put forth the little effort.I realized early on this wasn’t a good place to choose and should’ve followed my instincts. I say that because it starts with management. How can you have ONE person serving an at capacity restaurant with a 45 minute outdoor waiting list. Maybe on day one of the tournament you realize you need a bigger staff, but day 3 makes you incompetent to lead. Which is a result of everything else that followed. You got my $47 I just hope I can persuade one person willing to spend money somewhere else then I’d be satisfied.
Good food, good price, good vibes however the waitress and host needs training on customer service. The waitress showed us to our seats instead amd the host got mad and the host told us that she was going to let the waitress wait on us even though that wasnt her area. It was just messy and unprofessional.
The 2 stars is for the game day punch and our server effort ... they were out of just about everything we attempted to order ...they didn’t even have any kids menus for the kids to color .. no amaretto no hard shell tacos the nachos we ordered came out cold so we had to send them back and just wait for my daughter to finish her Kraft box Mac n cheese ... this was out first time trying this location and definitely our last.
Servers there are GREAT as the food was also. Place filled up as we arrived at 11:00. A man fell outside and two servers ran outside to check up on the man, who did came in for lunch as they took a aid kit with them he was all bandaged up. I will support this place every time I have a convention here in Atlanta. I had the gumbo and it was spot on.
We had a fantastic experience at this location recently and would highly recommend when visiting ATL. We had organized a large group dinner for a work conference and the staff couldnt be nicer and more accommodating. Special shout out to Heather (event coordinator) and Brittney (Server/Bartender) who took great care of us.
Well, lemme tell you about this location. We were greeted by a woman shaking her finger at us and walking our direction quite aggressively. Another employee actually used his words, like an adult, to explain the finger waiving. Apparently, if you walk in you MUST check your temperature before even considering walking passed the door. The problem is, the “hostess”(?) wasn’t there to actually explain that as she was the one walking AT us wagging her finger like a disappointed mom. The ONLY saving grace for this was the extremely polite bar tender that served us. Their bourbon selection was actually quite impressive considering they had bookers on the bar. Over all, I give it a 3.
Stood 3rd in line at the host desk for 15 minutes while they had well over 10 open tables. Two hostesses were there and only one person was helped during that time, and they walked out. The music was deafening and we decided we would rather just not eat than wait for service this slow.
This was the worst restaurant. Sat for 30 minutes waiting to order. Got my beer 20 minutes later and it was warm. The food came out cold. I saw the server when he took my order on a napkin and when he delivered the food. An hour and a half of my life gone and leaving hungry. If I could give 0 stars I would
This is an amazing place to go in Atlanta. It is very near from key sites in the city. Walking distance to Mercedes Benz stadium, CNN center, Georgia world congress center, centennial park, world of Coca cola and Atlanta aquarium. Good selection of beers, amazing food and friendly staff. It can be crowded at lunch but it worths waiting. Awesome!
I went into this location for the first time on Saturday, June 5, 2021. It took almost 5 minutes for the hostess to even come greet me. No line at the door, by the way. After I was seated, I waited 10 minutes for a server. None came. I left. I have been to the SS location many times. I will never visit the Downtown location again. Get that fixed if you want to stay open.
Did not get a beer at all even after ordering five different kinds (they didnt have anything in stock apparently). The food I ordered was not what I was given. It took almost an hour to even get my (incorrect) order. There were no napkins or silverware given to us, though a few tables here and there seemed to not have the same problem. Literally the only good thing was the sweet potatoe fries with the marshmellow fluff dipping sauce. Everything else was about as bad as the on-duty manager there who I witnessed threatening another customer when they got upset over waiting an hour and a half just to recieve the wrong food.
My food was very good but my boyfriends chicken tenders were bland and had no seasoning at all. Ive never been to any restaurant where you arent provided silverware or plastic ware. We werent given any napkins either. The employees were very comfortable with not wearing their mask properly but were allowed to wear them below their chin even while speaking with customers. Management didnt care any way. Will not return!!! Noise was so loud throughout the restaurant that we couldnt hear each other without almost yelling.
I don’t know why, but out of the three time I’ve been here the service is truly pathetic. 9/10 everything is sticky. The waitress and/or bartender are so overwhelmed or busy doing”their work” they rarely come check on you and you chasing them down yo order or get service or the bartender or waitress has an attitude problem. God forbid you order a soup of salad. Cold food … late food… incomplete orders! Just sad
Ordered food and waiting an hour for drinks just for them to come out all wrong ! We got 15 mango lemonades and we didn’t order majority. They just assumed that’s what we wanted lol. After the food arrives the server leaves it on the table for me to grab. I mean I didn’t want it to get cold so that’s what I did. Served myself. My chili dogs were so cold I thought they were polar dogs. Fries cold nasty wouldn’t recommend !
Just nowThis place was AMAZING. FANTASTIC food! And the service was phenomenal. Ask for Marie if you want a server who makes you laugh, knows what YOU want to eat, and is attentive to all your needs. Im just visiting from Louisville, but when I come back I will be coming here again. They are also super Covid cautious and friendly. Get out here and have a great time!
The host at the front was absolutely no help at all, I stood there for 10 minutes and she never said a word to me. I asked her if there was a wait & she rudely said no and didn’t say anything else to me, the same thing happened to the people that were there before me. Both of us ended up leaving to go elsewhere.
We greeted a staff beginning his shift and the staff that waited on us, 5 Stars for both. The bathrooms were clean, great for washing my hands. 4 guest and the food was OK. My son & brother are excellent cooks and noted the flaws in your food. Now the frys were delicious. We who are vegan gave the frys 5 Stars.
My visit was good, the front door forehand temperature check was great, thanks for helping in the fight to keep Atlanta covid-19 free. The service was fast and friendly, we only came in for drinks and they were extremely over priced and that small glass where was the alcohol? That was top shelf I ordered, even though you tried to sell me bar brand because top shelf was very empty. And the mens bathroom could certainly use a cleaning every so often or two. Beyond that the looked good the wait staff spoke as we sat at our table. Maybe we should had eaten that delicious looking food and had a soda. The place was packed waiting to be seated only. On my next visit Ill order a meal.
Excellent service and good food is fine by me! Our server Paige was awesome and she took care of us during our week stay downtown at the Omni. We dined at Hudson 2-3 days because the food was hot, fresh and tasted great. Plus they have a decent variety on the menu so we were able to try something different each day. Ask for Paige she is great!
We had a very good lunch here. We were seated quickly inside. Our waitress was kind and friendly despite it being a busy lunch hour I felt well taken care of. I had the buffalo chicken wrap with a side of tater tots. Both were excellent!! They had tons of TVs on all different channels. Also even though it was almost full I did not find it overly loud. We were at the convention center and it was an easy around 3 minute walk over. I would recommend eating here!
Nothing very special about the food but it wasnt bad. The boneless wings I ordered had hardly any breading, very little sauce (they were dry) and looked like a chicken breast that has just been cut into cubes and thrown into a fryer. About what you would expect for a restaurant in thetourist area of downtown where you get much less than what you pay for. The tots were pretty good. Staff was friendly. I would visit again if in the area, but wouldnt seek it out.
Long wait time when there’s hardly customers, food was horrible ,don’t order Mac & cheese especially ,it’s pure milk and macaroni and the Buffalo chicken was served cold. I observed the manager helping seat customers when there’s enough staff and hardly customers ( how ironic) manager needs more training . I sat at the bar and kept waving at the server for service, Worst place by far for anyone , Don’t waste your time and money.
We love this place and frequent when we are in town on business. It is right next to the Omni which is one of our favorite places to stay. Its one of the better places for ATLamerican food. The chicken and waffles are amazing. The sweet potato fries with the marshmallow dipping sauce (trust me, we were just as surprised as you) its a perfect sweet on sweet combo. The feta geek chicken is delicious and manager, Cedric is one of the nicest and most professional persons we have met in Downtown A. Tell Cedric that you saw this review and he might have a special discount for you. Who knows. We ate there 5 times out of 7 days on our last stay because of convenience and consistency. The bar is simple, but will meet your need. Its well worth the review. We, my wife and I genuinely like it that much.
Thank you Mrs ERIN for the great customer service and Happy Birthday to Mrs MARIE. The atmosphere was nice, there were a lot of flat screens and Atlanta team representations. The reason for the 3 stars was the food. The chicken and waffles was the last meal to come out and it was not even hot. The chicken was not seasoned and the waffles were too sweet. The salads chicken was also not seasoned at all.One entree was super super salty and not edible. The salmon sandwich was okay. The New York Rueben and the fried pickles were delicious.Very disappointing food service!

2022-05-28Laid back, Covid appropriate spacing of tables on patio, nice street scene. Courteous and just the right amount of stopping by the table service! Ordered the Fried avocado taco - excellent! Lots of GF and vegetarian/vegan options.

2022-03-27After unsuccessfully getting a spot at several other restaurants on a Saturday night, we were thrilled to grab a seat rather quickly here. I have to say that the entire staff worked so well together. Everyone helped seat, serve, and clean up. It was wonderful to see. Plenty of TVs to watch the games, including rugby! Food was excellent, too. We had the Caesar salad which, thankfully, wasnt overpowered by dressing and the ribs with the Makers Mark BBQ sauce. *chefs kiss*

2021-07-14We had a group of 7 this Sunday. Once seated indoors the goodness finally began. I had the shrimp with grits...I was delicious and creamy. The cocktails were excellent. Our waiter was extremely quick and very helpful. Hes definitely their greatest staff member. Our entire group had an amazing time with love good food with a wide tasty variety and great cocktails. The only negative was the it was hot and the expected 20 minute wait was a 40 minute wait.

2022-06-29I ordered this meal late last night and it’s still here. I love fried cauliflower but not from this place. The cauliflower was hard and tasteless. That is a huge no, especially for Atlanta. I was so disappointed. The tots were cold and as you can see one of the tots looks bit into before it arrived. Needless to say I didn’t touch them either.Maybe I should have started with the fact that there were 7 or so, long strands of black curly hair hanging on to my box as I pulled it out of the bag, which was a huge contrast from our locs and our male delivery driver’s short hair.I’m not sure what happened last night but, I don’t feel well today, I literally had to wake up and take a black seed oil shot. No one should have to pay for that. Multiple locations…I don’t understand that concept either.

2022-02-13The food, our server Pasquale, & ONE door man was the only good thing about this place! We got on the wait list upon arrival- 20 mins, not bad right?! We sat RIGHT be the door and never moved from that spot. 50 mins goes by & so many after us had been seated. We go to the hostess & mention it. She had crossed us off the list without even once calling our name one time! The door man got us a seat immediately but the manager stood watching & listening the whole time and never said a word. This was our Valentines Dinner and we had plans after, that were canceled because we were at the restaurant so long! Our server had the best personality & eased our frustration and the door man was helpful throughout our meal as well.

2021-07-17We went on a Friday night because the patio space is nice and big. The fried pickles and the sweet tea were the only good things going that night. He ordered the chicken and waffles and it was over cooked. The waffles were crispy and the chicken wasnt seasoned and very dry. I had the salmon with spinach. The salmon was okay but the spinach was nasty. It had no taste but a lot big garlic chunks. For these things we will probably not be trying them again.

2021-10-15Food was excellent and service was great! We went there two nights in a row and sat outside in a fenced area off the sidewalk so we had roadside entertainment at times but it wasnt overwhelming. For Atlanta I guess you get used to certain things. Like I said, the food was great.

2022-01-28The food was a 10 out 10! I truly enjoyed the sweet potato fries with the marshmallow dipping sauce. The hot wings were amazing and the hamburger was cooked to perfection. We could have had a better waitress but the food made up for her lack. Will definitely return.

2022-07-06My friend and I enjoyed the Hudson Grille very much. The waitress and manager were both awesome with attending us. In order to get the 🌮 for $2 each, you will need to sign up on their website. Tacos are $2 only on Tuesdays. I recommend the fried chicken tacos and shrimp tacos. The Korean BBQ was too spicy for me but my friend enjoyed hers. The chicken wings were tasty and juicy along with your choice of sweet potato French fries or regular French fries. And the bar was a total vibe. Didnt get a drink but enjoyed the dining. If youre ever in Atlanta, visit Hudson Grille!
