I came to Atlanta, GA to visit with my sister and meet my new great nephew. Someone suggested this hotel. I went on line to see what the hotel looked like, and inside the hotel and rooms were just gorgeous. When I arrived at the hotel and went to my room, it was the complete opposite of what I saw on line. Old stained wall paper in the bathroom, drawers where I put my clothes was ragged, and the worse part of it all was that I only got one washcloth the whole time I was there 4 days. They told me they had no more clean towels available. I had to walk to the CVS to purchase clean towels for the rest of my stay. I paid a whole lot of money to stay at this hotel. In my opinion, look at other hotels first in this area before staying here. I could have left and went somewhere else, but I got in so late from the airport due to delays, I was just not in the mood to try to find other accommodations. Its time for me to go back home now, but this hotel will not be on my radar in my next visit here to Atlanta.
Chose this location because of the rating. Hotel very large which is nice. Loved the online check in. Room was a great size. My son was able to sleep in his own space on pull out sofa.Front lobby staff super sweet and attentive. Asked for some extra towels and there was no hesitation. Some areas in our bathroom were damaged. Wallpaper behind door, ceiling paint peeled off, ceiling in bathroom just needs to be fixed. Not sure if there is some water damage because I smelt moldy damp air immediately(throughout room). Closet door was very difficult to open and close. We just gave up and used the drawers. Some questionable stains on head board of bed. Bedroom doors had screw sticking out in the back. Therr was a screw on top of toilet that cane right out. Just needs some more TLC all around. For the amount paid(more than enough), a small 6am to 9am continental breakfast would be nice. Parking is $12 a night, which involves steep parking if you cant find it near front lobby. Just felt kind of robbed (yes it is posted online).
I was promised one room and given another, I stayed here a couple of times and the rooms were dirty, wallpaper was peeling off the walls, dirty marks on the walls and floors. Very dated. Bathtub was clogged up and they said someone would fix it, they never did. I asked several times for housekeeping to come and service my room, they assured me they would and every day for four days straight I came back to an unserviced room. Tried to get the General manager to talk to me however that never happened. Dont waste your money! This is the only Hyatt Ive ever stayed that I wasnt happy with.
Not worth the cost at all. The AC in the room didnt keep the rooms that cool, the shower drain was clogged so I was standing in ankle deep water, not at all worth the $12 a day parking fee, uncomfortable bed, no free breakfast, stingy on towels. One good thing was the bar area. There was a sink with a mini fridge (no freezer) and microwave. Will not be back to this hotel. Should be a $100 a night hotel or less.
Positive: Its like any other hotel in your price range. It was ok, not my best stay but ok. Negative: Eighteen dollars is an insane amount to charge for breakfast. Especially when other hotels offer complimentary with the same food. If you charge that much. Atleast have real eggs, real bacon not pre cooked, fresh fruit and free coffee. INSANE.
Positive: The room had plenty of space! Negative: Stepping off the elevator you could tell they¿d had a water issue. It smelled very musty, the wallpaper was bubbles away from the wall and parts of the ceiling were missing. The hotel was older and definitely needed updating.
Positive: The staff was very friendly and very professional. They are making the best of what is afforded to them Negative: There was unfinished hole in hallway at the elevators No shower curtain. Smoke detector hanging from the wall Water stains on ceiling at window Wall paper peeling in room and bathroom Hyatt needs to invest some major renovations or sell to motel 8
Positive: Staff was nice, room was clean. Negative: One night was woken up due to the smoke alarm going off in my room and a few others due to someone in an adjoining room smoking. Another, was woken up by a couple fighting/arguing in the hallway and then their room for over an hour around 2-3 AM.
Stayed late Feb 2022. Outside the lobby, this place made my flesh crawl. It is WORN OUT, dirty, and a disgrace to Hyatt properties. I should’ve believed the low reviews. But do tip the housekeeping staff because it is not their fault they have a lousy environment to try to clean. The owner should replace every item in the place. Holly and Masela at front desk were excellent and that’s where it ends. Dirty and severely worn out bedding, curtains, couch, carpets, walls, shower head had black calcium deposits in spout. Dirty headboard. I shudder to think what I did not see due to low and insufficient lighting. Peeling wallpaper in hallway. Stains from old leaks. Dirty windows. Needs to be closed and remodeled completely. I checked out early and cannot recommend anyone stay for any price.
Positive: The layout of the room and convenience of our location. Negative: We did not realize you had to pay for the morning breakfast. That was not explained to us when we checked in. We went to breakfast. I ate a small bowl of plain oatmeal and my husband git a vowl of eggs. They brought us a $40 bill for 2 people. Not happy.
We were told the room was not ready and waited till after 4, and even then it had no toilet paper and no bottom bedsheet. Wifi does not work; when we asked the front desk about it they said “our software engineer is not here”….You charge $200 a night and you need a software engineer on hand to ensure you have working wifi?Disappointed
Positive: Central Location. Secure property Negative: Daily parking fee for self park? Pool closed due to city inspections or some malarkey. 80 degree day with blue water... there should not be a hotel with a closed pool. Comfort inn seems to keep it open. Ask for extra flat sheets to cover the couch.
Positive: Large room but not worth what we paid for Negative: Was not what pictures looked like or reviews stated. Wallpaper in bathroom peaking off the walls. You have to pay for parking which was not made clear when booking No carts available to us for check in or check out process and staff did not care
Horrible Stay!!!! The Manager Alicia and the staff were amazing! Alicia is very customer service oriented and was attentive when I shared with her my disappointment. The rooms did not look like the rooms on the website. The furniture was spotty, worn and looked dirty. The carpet looked dirty. The appliances in the room was sticky and not wiped down. The fixtures in the bathroom were horrible, wall paper was ripped from the ceiling and hanging from the wall, rusted soap dispenser in kitchen area and black mold on the ceiling. A MESS! Not worth the money! My husband said that hed never stay here again. I feel the same way, but Alicia did do what she could to make it up to us. Perhaps once renovated, wed think about it. Sure wish that I knew how to upload the video that we took of the room! What a way to spend the holidays visiting family!
Positive: The staff was extremely nice Negative: Yes. The quality and room were NOt like any Hyatt Hotel I have ever been to. I felt like I was in Motel 6. Water damage on the ceiling, toilet didnt work, microwave didnt work and the bed was extremely hard. The carpet in the room was old and dirty.
Positive: Beautiful clean room. Friendly staff. Negative: I was not informed until I was checking in that there was $100 fee per pet. $30 fee supposedly to be refunded if room was left in satisfactory condition and there was a $12 parking fee. Definitely jacked up what I thought was a reasonably priced room.
Positive: It was good size rooms and staff was polite Negative: Parking has to be paid for by guest. Literally no where else to park. Although we ask for our room to be cleaned, no one came to clean it. Rushing us to leave although we paid required extra for a late checkout, hours before original checkout time.
Positive: an older hotel that has been renovated. The room size was great. Huge living / mini kitchen area with a separate bedroom. TV in each room was a good thing. Front desk staff were very nice, particularly the young lady with whom I checked in. Negative: Wish you didnt have to go to the front check in desk to get snacks. Had to wait probably 15 minutes while people checked in to get a couple waters. Lady in restaurant was very nice, but she was clearly overwhelmed trying to do so much by herself.
Positive: Room was nice but hallway needed some attention. Ripped siding. Negative: Charging $12 to park overnight in their outside parking lot is a rip off. Hotel is not in a downtown area that you would expect you might have to pay for parking. I will never stay again in a Hyatt.
Positive: The hotel was clean and followed many Covid 19 protocols. This was important because it made me feel safe during my stay. The staff was professional and accommodating. Negative: I absolutely was astounded to be charged $24 dollars (2 days) for the privileged of parking in an unlit, unsecured, 3rd tier parking lot. I was forced to then chose between walking up a lot of steep stairs or a hill with a massive grade. Yikes!
Positive: The restaurant was fantastic and reasonably for a hotel restaurant, quality food!! The room surpassed our expectations, so much that it made our 3 night stay fantastic! Highly recommend this hotel The garden waterfall outside restaurant breathtaking! Negative: The shower drain was not draining and maintenance took care of it right away!!!
The rooms are very spacious and include a separate living space for comfort. This review is specifically directed towards Trayce at the front desk. Her attitude, customer service, and overall demeanor is extremely welcoming. She exhibited a true sense of service and helped with all my needs. Not to mention, I caught her at the end of her overnight shift. You would have never known! Thank you Trayce for helping with all my needs and for truly making me feel you were happy to help. She deserves recognition as she stood out amongst many others!
Excellent customer service they were outstanding, Justin catered to our every need, we had issueds with our TV, but trust me when I say they compensated us for it, management went over and above to make sure we were happy with the outcome, our room was clean and far exceded our expectations. This is the hotel to stay at I give them a 10 stars
Positive: The ample space. Negative: I didnt like that you could tell the room had been flooded in. There was also a damp moldy smell in the room. I also had to fix the toilet¿¿. This is something i look forward to having in a hotel room (the cleanliness, a great smell, and a great ba
Positive: The king suite is a great deal! Its so big and comfortable. Negative: Maids need to check the towels under the sink to make sure they are clean. There was one the was not clean. I dont want to down the hotel¿s wonderful accommodations¿ but there was what looked like beard hair (hopefully) scattered on the top towel.
Positive: Good location, restaurant onsite, accepts pets Negative: Paid a much higher rate than expected for pets fees. Not sure if I missed it on the website but fees more than doubled the total cost. However, the shower was broken and we could not take a shower before checking out. Front desk staff was very rude.
Positive: The rooms were big and spacious. The lobby bar and restaurant was nice. All the staff were nice and accommodating. Negative: Had to change my room Bc The first one wasn¿t cleaned. There were fingerprints all over the mirrors. Soap still in the shower. Finger prints and spill stains on the counters. Couch cushions were filthy
Had a great week long stay here on business. Only issue I had with this location is they charge an extra 12$ a night in their own private parking lot that no one else uses. If it were on a beach or near some major venue where others were taking there patrons spaces I could see the extra Jab... Staff was great, and view from the 6th floor facing south (toward Atalanta) was awesome.
Positive: Spacious room and we loved the pool and outdoor space. Negative: Had to pay for parking and the staff was just ok. They did their job but not very friendly. The microwave didn¿t work and the tub drain stopper prevented the shower water from draining properly.
We love it when we stay here. The rooms are all suites, and they are roomy. There are separate living and sleeping areas, that have a door dividing them. This is perfect for when my wife and daughter want to go to sleep, but I am still up working. We simply close the door and they have a dark and quite room to sleep in. I still get to have a brightly lit work area. We have never been disappointed in staying here.
We booked a room via third party. Due to our occupation we checked in late. Justin (did not want to provide his last name) who was working the front desk at the time of our late check in charged us an additional $208 dollars. When questioned about this additional charge he gave numerous unacceptable answers. His first response was due to third party booking their was an additional fee, due to checking in late their was an additional fee, and the third reason was due to the lower rate we paid using the third party. After paying the fee the first room Justin provided was absolutely filthy, the second room we could not get in due to door issues ( security even attempted to open the door and was not able to access the room). We then immediately checked out Justin did not provide a receipt, we incurred a parking fee, and will never book a room with this hotel chain again. Be aware of this privately owned hotel!!
This place is great!! Clean rooms, great pool and great location. However, the thing that makes this place great is their staff. I had an issue with my key and lock. The maintenance crew was quick and courteous and took care of it right away. Also, their front desk is great! Kay was awesome and went above and beyond.
Positive: The location was great! The pool area was also very nice. The room was spacious which was nice. Negative: Yes. The carpet seemed dirty in the hallway and in the room. The sofa seemed dingy and smelly. Mostly the room just needed updating some. Other than that it was fine. Thanks for asking!
Stayed overnight and was a mostly ok experience. Checking in early and parking carry extra fees. Shower head had no pressure, stained curtains, hard and rough bedding, wifi spotty, and no shuttle service although you can see the shuttle parked on site. Had to call a couple of times to see if the pool was open, which thankfully it was and we are able to enjoy that for a couple of hours. Nice ambiance in lobby and around pool and a pretty chill and safe place. Mellow mushroom being next door to the hotel and coffee place across the street were also perks.
Positive: The room was huge! It was a very large suite with plenty of room to hang out in living room area with all our family. We had a total of 7 adults and 4 children staying in 4 rooms and were all able to meet up in any one of the rooms with no problem. Negative: The outdoor pool was only open starting on Friday of our stay that began on Wednesday and ended Saturday. That was a bummer for the kids who were looking forward to it and were only able to use it 1 day.
Positive: The room was spacious Negative: Staff were incredibly rude. Hotel is very dirty. The area rug in the lobby is disgustingly dirty. Parking was not free. No room service. Very few options for food at hotel restaurant. They wanted to charge me, a Hyatt member, $35 for arriving 1 hour early
Positive: room were decorated nicely. It was great having a suite instead of just a room. Negative: There were problems with some of the appliances in the suite - microwave did not work, refrigerator froze food overnight, tub faucet leaked, one remote didnt work very well.
Worst Hyatt we have ever stayed in. The furniture was worn and the decor is not like the pictures on the website! We were in 3rd floor and The lobby music was very loud and could be heard in room all night. We were told we could only have 2 sets of towels at a time. So thats only 2 face towels even though most women use 2 towels at a time! You had to turn in towels to get the equivalent back! The reservation said breakfast included but we were charged $9 per person for kiddie size cereal, 6 oz cup of milk, 10 oz juice, a muffin, and an apple. We requested to have our room cleaned the second day and was told it is only cleaned every 3 days and they brought us clean sheets up and expected us to change the linen! The toilet would not flush properly. We requested maintenance at 8 am and He came around 1 pm after we called a 2nd time. I spoke with the manager because I just could take no more drama. He was very unprofessional and tacky. He looked like a maintenance or cleaning person. He was not dressed like a hotel manager at all! He said he would take the extra charges for breakfast off our bill but did not. When checking out we noticed the charges were still on our bill, so once again had to deal with a rude insensitive clerk. I told her that I refused to go over the ordeal again with her and demanded she either take the charges off or get the manager again. They are very under staffed because the housekeeping lady had several duties within the hotel. We even saw her emptying the trash bins in the parking lot. This was the worst experience and the staff has very poor customer service skills. They dont even smile at the guest! So we shouldve known something was off when everyone staff person you see looks like they hate their job. Dont waste your money at this location.
Positive: The hotel location is great and hotel staff was friendly. Negative: The hotel needs to be renovated. There was a leak coming from the ceiling in the hallway and visible brownish stains on the ceiling. The wallpaper throughout the hotel is peeling. Some of the furniture is stained & shows signs of wear & tear.
Positive: was convenient to braves game Negative: arrived to be able to check in room at 4:30pm so we could unpack and shower before our braves game at 7:15pm. They said room was not ready couldnt tell us when it would be. this was very disappointing. No compensation for this.
Positive: Spacious, clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. Negative: No free breakfast, charged extra for parking, carpets worn, missing tile in bathroom, cracked lampshade. Staff member at desk was inexperienced and could not give us a receipt; we then discovered an extra charge on credit card which had to be removed.
THE WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE! I waited 30min in line for the receptionist to not know a thing and tell me they have my reservation but no room available. Not only did they NOT have the room but couldn’t tell me how long until it was ready. After an hour of waiting I gave up and had to find another hotel. Was never able to speak to a a manager bc he wasn’t “available”. Completely ruined my trip and will be complaining more
Were pleased with the hotel and the room overall. Its a spacious room, with a living room area, kitchenette (mini fridge, microwave, coffee, etc.), bedroom and bathroom. The hotel has good views of downtown Marietta, and even Atlanta in the far distance. The stadium is nearby, and a short Uber/Lyft would make it convenient. Parking is available, with easy in-and-out privileges. Service was friendly and efficient. There are issues that fall short of the Hyatt Regency brand;1. Furniture, carpets, etc. are old/worn2. Air quality is less than ideal - A bit stale/musty3. Deferred maintenance, with the parking gate system not working, patched areas of prior damage in the bedroom and bathroom, peeling wallpaper, and dirty windows4. Walls and doors are quite thin - Sounds in the hallway sound like theyre in the room5. Shower head offers either a trickle, or a massage/blast. It should be an easy process to update to modern shower heads.Overall, it was acceptable for a one-night stay. Id likely look for alternatives when back in the area, perhaps even the Hyatt Place brand which may have more updated amenities.
Me and my colleagues were staying here for a training near by and some couldnt even last the night here. After checking in two out of our three rooms had bad water leaks and had a musty smell. This caused one of our colleagues to have an asthma attack and ended up driving home. There were also stains on the walls and furniture and mold in the room.
Positive: The room size is great & the desk staff is friendly & professional!! Negative: The parking lot situation is awful. There is very limited space at the front of the hotel. During this stay, the room was poorly cleaned from the previous guest, the room overall was rundown, & I killed a big roach climbing up the wall! I wont be back!
Positive: The location. Negative: The pillows were flat and uncomfortable Only gave you a set of towels. If you asked for vacuum it never got done. Not enough staff. Since animals are allowed in the hotel. There were stains on the couch, wallpaper ext... rooms need an overall update.
PET FRIENDLY it claims, but not so owner friendly. They charged us more for our dog than for the room. And the confrontational attitude of the front desk clerk at morning checkout! I was at one time in the hotel business. If she had worked for me, she would be looking for a new job that afternoon. And dont even think about parking an RV or trailer. You might have to wait to depart untill obstructing cars illegally parked for lack of space leave to free you.Nice rooms though
Well I’m currently still staying here until Sunday, but the price is EXTREMELY high for my shower head to be leaking and no one is doing anything about it, we called and they didn’t suggest to get us another room or nothing!! Also the lighting is horrible I thought maybe that would have been better. Also we tried to get into our room and we couldn’t so we went downstairs and the receptionist didn’t even explain why she just asked for my ID and gave us another one. She was NOT friendly at all. I’m out of town and from now on this WILL be the last time I stay here. Gonna go a little higher up because I need a refund or something.
Overly priced, needs to be updated. Look at all the reviews, I wish I would’ve went with my gut but gave it a chance and regret it.I booked a stay on April 2nd - 4th. After checking in and going up to my room after a 6 hour drive, the first room wasn’t clean and the bathtub was full of water from the previous guest. Went back downstairs and to inform the guest service representative who I had to wait on after she completed her UberEats transaction and explain what I walked into did assign another room. The second room was clean however the ceiling in the shower was leaking and bulging so I had to go back downstairs to the guest service rep who in return seemed to be frustrated as though I was the one inconvenienced. This was such a horrible experience and I highly doubt that I would book with Hyatt again.
Lipstick-on-a-pig rooms, $12/nt parking, toilet leaked, shower drain clogged, I had to inquire 3x for a crib only to be told they can’t find one, long lines to check in since they only have one person working the front, and smell of weed EVERYWHERE from other guests. Some pros are spacious rooms, good location, decent pool and scenery, comfortable bed, and employees are nice. Unfortunately, the negatives outweigh the positives and money is better spent elsewhere.
Beds were extremely uncomfortable. We received towels and they were not clean, had multiple stains. I asked for additional blankets upon our arrival and it took them 3 reminders and the next day for them to bring to our room. Bring your own towels and toilet paper because they use one ply. Hotel was close to a lot of restaurants and spacious enough. I personally would never stay here again or recommend. I’ll stick with the Marriot on my next visit.
Positive: The location, the pool and the room how it had the bedroom separated from the living area. Negative: My shower was wet with hair in it like it was just used and not cleaned. Also, there were stains from a leak on the ceiling in the bathroom as well as rust on the refrigerator door.
Positive: The location was perfect. Negative: I had issues with the plumbing and also there were fake lashes on my shower curtain and the tub was dirt. When I tried to take a shower the water would back up and took forever to drain. I reach out to the staff several time & no one cared to find help.
Its been a while since we stayed here but they are more than deserving of a 5 star review. Our room was immaculately kept. It seems they have a grasp of the little things that can become bothersome because everything was well placed, organized & they didnt omit anything you may need or want.Staff at the front was incredibly friendly & professional. They were well aware of the area & gave informative answers to my questions for suggestions.Highly recommend!
Family of 5 looking for a good nights rest on a cross country trip and we encountered every inconvenience and little sleep. Check-in took 30 min at midnight, smelled pot on the way to our room, had constant noise in the halls at all hours of the night. The walls are very thin. All rooms are suites. The space was nice but no shampoo, and 3 towels for 5 of us. At least we got back on the road early. There was no sleeping going on in our room.
We arrived at the hotel after 7 hours 23min plane ride. We reserve our room 2 months from booking.com before coming to Atlanta GA when we arrived the reception she told us she been working there for 3 weeks, could not find or reservation, so i gave my phone to show it to her, she wrote booking. com numbers on piece of paper ,so we call them. We walked back to the counter she look again after 30mins, wow she found the reservation our room was $756.89 good deal right! the manager came out the charge on the room change to $1, 090.95 this was breakfast and parking daily. We said thank you but this not the hotel for us. We didnt come from California to pay your mortgage. Terrible customer service, Money hungry hotel.
Positive: Location was close to family members. Negative: In need of renovation as the carpet was buckled on the side of the bed just waiting for someone to trip in the middle of the night. Only 2 washcloths, 3 towels , 2 cheap plastic beverage containers in the room. No towel bars for hanging wet towels, etc
Have been in the hotel Industry for many years. The Hyatt Regency are usaly very nice places to stay. I understand that they were short staff because of the things going on right now. Yet, there still needs to be and professionalism that is to be expected. The Room was rushed to be cleaned by Housekeeping. The services that should have been open were not because of the short staff, but nothing was apologized for, no adjustments were made, nobody seemed to care. When reported that the Room had an odor and was not completely cleaned nothing was done just was reminded that housekeeping was short staffed. Was informed under the group booking after the event that adjustment what is going to be made for everyone. Was never done.
I have stayed here twice and the staff us always friendly. The hotel is beautiful! However, the room I stayed in this time had chipping spackle on various spots of the ceiling. Also, the bathtub began leaking water after a shower. One of the vertical corners in the shower wall is missing caulk and that is not a good thing. Perhaps thats where the water is coming from. Also, for my past two visits the fountain has not been operating and thats disappointing. I would like to see that.I would prefer not to pay for parking after paying for my room. Particularly, given that the asphalt on the lower lots has too many cracks for a company of this size. Please call someone and have the asphalt resealed immediately! Otherwise, potholes are going to form and that will eventually lead to damage on someones vehicle. What the explanation charging $12 per night for parking. And, if it is absolutely necessary why not just charge an economal flat rate?Overall, nice hotel love the view, the pool, staff takes their jobs seriously, I would appreciate seeing somethings renovated. I am open to staying here again
Temeka Fleming Me and my family stayed at this location on 02/9/2021The hotel is Amazingly Clean and well keep!We loved our room! Check-In and customer service was not Good At all! However Clayton Collins(Manger)made up for or he was amazing with responding and addressing my concerns Loved it.All in all definitely will stay Again!!
Made reservations 2 months in advance.. 3 adults and 3 kids under 5. Needed adjoining rooms...was told that could not be verified at that time. Next door rooms would be ok. Also told them we had one dog under 20 pounds . Was told ok but to put this info in an email that included the dog information.Arrived June 2. Had one room on 3rd floor one room on 5th floor!!!Was told OH you have a dog ... you can only stay on 1st floor!!!!!!! When they were told this was sent in an email they checked the email and found the dog information was there two months ago... waited for over an hour for our one room and the other room wasn’t ready till later...guess what...... not adjoining or next doorStood in line to check out... was 11:08.. was told we had a late check out...REALLY!!!!!
Overall, not a bad hotel for the price. However, you do get what you pay for which is why I gave three stars.Just an FYI that I was not aware of until arrival, there was an extra $24 parking fee. I could have used that extra amount to get a nicer hotel with free parking..The only other issue I had was the room in general. Upon first appearance the rooms is very nice and quite big. However, after further examination, I was very displeased. First, as soon as we got to the hotel, the restroom was a must after the long trip, we soon found out that the water to the toilet was turned off which was an easy fix but one that shouldnt have been necessary. Next, when trying to take a shower, the whole shower handle fell off the wall as soon as I touched it.The comforter was not clean at all, the duvet was though. I understand that the down does not get cleaned as much as the cover but in this case.. the cover did not even close to hide the comforter so we were able to see all of the stains which just made it that much harder to sleep with.Another thing that upset me a bit was the fact that because if covid there was sanitary stickers on the door letting you know that everything had been cleaned... Which the fridge apparently wasnt apart of because the last persons food was in there.. makes me wonder what they actually cleaned and how serious they are taking covid..I know Im getting a little bit picky here but I figured I may as well lay all my issues out in case this review helps anyone, the only other issue was the horrible patch work to walls, ceiling, and the carpet was ripped up in areas.Again you get what you pay for and I certainly learned that cheaper is not always better.
This trip was very special as we celebrated my boyfriends birthday. We flew all the way from the Bahamas. Everything was perfect. Our suite was what I had hoped for and more. Loved loved the space and our housekeeping service was spot on, there was never a time our room was not cleaned, new set of towels and water daily. Check in was quick. The only thing we did not do was the pool area.I was reading reviews before we visit about parking and a hill which had us afraid because it appeared to be so far from the hotel however, when we arrived we parked in the area twice for overflow it was not as the way one would read. I would definitely visit again.
I had a great stay at this Hyatt. Our check in went smoothly, the front desk agent was very nice. The bartender was attentive helpful and friendly. We had the nachos and wings at the bar and they were excellent. The room was spacious and the view of the pool area was beautiful. The housekeeping staff were very polite and accommodating. They cleaned the room while we got dressed for the evening. The room was older and you could see it on the walls in the bedroom and the bathroom. But there were many upgrades, I believe they are in the process of remodeling. Definitely enjoyed my stay.
We were sent here after our reservation at the Hyatt House down the road overbooked. I wasn’t sure what to expect and I wasn’t very happy that they charge for parking, but the hotel itself was wonderful! A definite upgrade from the Hyatt House. The room itself was spacious and decorated well, but I found the room decor to be a bit dated and run down. Wallpaper was peeling away, the room was dimly lit, and the bed was a bit stiff. I had high hopes for breakfast since it costs $17 extra per person, but it really wasn’t much more than a higher-quality continental breakfast. It was a bit limited in selection, although everything I had was delicious. Overall I had a pleasant experience and the staff were friendly, but I think it’s a bit expensive for the quality of the rooms.
We stayed March 9. We booked it on the road when we were getting close to Atlanta and just needed to sleep for a few hours. My sheets had makeup stains on them, and the shower curtain had stains also. I couldnt even turn the handle on the shower- my husband had to do it. Everything else seemed fine, but paint chipping on doorframes and worn wood and musty smells tells me this place is old . $12 to park was also an unwelcome surprise. We wont stay again.
I consider all staff here to be family. They are quite amazing and I stay there as much as possible. Holly, Amanda, the staff at the Padella and many others have shown me outstanding kindness and I hope the hotel continues to have great success. Ive been staying at this location since 2007. If they had a residency program Im pretty sure Id move in. Recently, I had an injury and needed to stay here for a while during repairs to my own place. The entire team was very accommodating. Again, this is an excellent team. Tips: Each room is a spacious suite. The hotel was remodeled in 2009 to the current decor so if you see any photos online of green couches and chairs, those are old photos. The parking lot is three levels. If you are injured or need assistance, park at the top first. During Covid youll need a mask to enter and walk around the common areas. Its not a big deal, just wear it. Rooms facing the city have a great view of the entire Atlanta skyline. Those facing the garden get to see a beautiful, well-manicured pool area that has a Japanese garden. Its so gorgeous. Enjoy! Email me if you have questions. I always love to meet new Hyatt fans.
Hotel has potential, they could start improvements by painting the dated yellow walls in the rooms, white. & buy new couches for the rooms. & all hyatts that have them should get rid of the feathered comforters. rooms are spacious & specifically the bathroom & kitchen area are updated & really nice. rooms are nice enough. just needs updating in areas i mentioned. front desk is rude as some other reviewers mentioned. overall i’d stay here again.
Still a great experience. All the rooms and public areas were in great repair and looked good. The staff was friendly, but overwhelmed by a large conference. No one answered the phone when I called them to check the reservation the day we arrived. All of my requests were met promptly, and the breakfast was awesome.
Love the room sizes & the suite area. Never have any issues when I stay here. but I’m a little disappointed that they haven’t opted for the streaming services on the tv like most other hotels have. There’s no option to watch Netflix, or Hulu, or anything else. So you really just have to check the TV guide on the television & hope something decent is on.
I stayed here for a business trip for 4 nights and I was pleased. The location was very convenient to my company, the staff was friendly and professional and the amenities/rooms were very nice. I had an issue operating the microwave in my room as all buttons were deactivated except the add 30 sec button. I called and they had an engineer up to my room in less than 5 minutes to explain. My towels were replaced every night and the cleaning of my room was great. It was very convenient to many places. Id recommend this place.
Overall very nice stay. We were greeted by very friendly staff at the Front Desk when we arrived. I had already made a room selection using the mobile app. The rooms are very spacious and have a great layout, especially good when traveling with kids. The pool area was well kept and clean. The pool itself could have been cleaner. The valet staff was very friendly as well. I would stay here again for sure.
Positive: Nothing poor Negative: Yes too many things room was nasty ¿¿ on the floor moved rooms and that new room had mold on ceiling and blood on walls this place is a joke . They need new room upgrades for sure . We had to complain to corporate on this place . Don¿t recommend
Our hotel experience was pleasant. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The shuttle service was great. Our room was spacious. It was nice having two TVs in our room. There were partitioning doors to separate the bedroom area from the living/sitting area. There were two queen beds. One was extremely close to the window....very little walking room on that side of the bed....turn sideways to walk on that side. The bathroom was okay. The ceiling around the vent needed to be plastered and smoothed out better. Our sink stopped up; however, someone came quickly to unstop it.The living room area was very spacious for us to sit around comfortably. The fridge, bar sink, and microwave came in handy. I didnt like the TV channel lineup...it was limited and didnt have the channels we wanted. It did have around 3 ESPN channels, some HBO channels, and a couple for children. They did offer casting shows from your device to the TV via Google Chrome. The instructions were on the TV. If you have Hulu, Netflix, YouTube, or other movie streaming apps, you should be fine to cast to the TV.The lobby was nice. We didnt go to the restaurant downstairs or use room service. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would come back.
Booked for a room online and got an email saying i could check in earlier at 3pm. Went in to check in only to find the front desk receptionist named Holly with a very nasty attitude. She was not only not willing to help with the checkin process but was quick to say i would have to pay more money for checking in at 3pm. Told her about the email and was quick to brush it off. She was very unprofessional... no people skills and working in customer service??? Loved my room but definately not looking forward to another rude, unprofessional encounter with her
Room was spacious and clean. Very quiet. Nice and updated. Location is great. Across the valley from SunTrust Park, near to all the shopping we wanted. Lovely landscaping. Bathroom fixtures and cabinets were in rough shape. 10 dollars for self parking seemed excessive considering they have a large parking lot and nobody mentioned the charge to me, the only way I knew about it was an obscure sign at the valet stand. Id stay there again all things considered. The suite room was great for traveling with a baby.
This hotel property surprised me. It didnt look like much from the pictures. However the room was great, common areas were very nice and attended to. Hotel valet was very happy to help. All this and a very good location. 5 minutes to Sun Trust Park to see the Braves play.
I made a reservation and called to let them know in advanced I will be arriving late since I was traveling. Throughout the day I called because it didnt seem like I was going to make it on the time we originally stated. When I was close to the hotel I was told my reservation was going to get canceled and I was going to get fully charged because I didnt make it on the time stated, when I had called several times and was told it was OK. And on top of that it takes forever to get someone to answer the phone over there. Never had any issues with this chain of hotels. Im never going back.
Unprofessional, I called in to change my room to a 2 queen room for my family of 5 on June 16th 2020. We arrive for check in on July 2 2020. I was given a room for one King Bed. I called Hyatt, and spoke with the front desk. The front desk stated there were not any 2 queens available. I immediately got on my phone to see if I was able to book a 2 queen room for the night. They were available. (Lied) After driving from hours away their only solution was for me to cancel my reservation. I travel 2-3 times a month for work for the past 5 years and have never had this issue. Extremely unprofessional and poor customer service.
Location is great with fast access to I75. Rooms are gorgeous and staff extremely friendly. However, be warned they have extremely bright night lights in the bathrooms that you cant have turned off without an engineer (their words) coming to the room to remove the light bulbs. Even closing the bathroom door does not obscure it well enough, I had to stuff towels under the door.
I had a positive Covid case at my job in my department & that’s why I did not show for my reservation and the company said they could not refund my money so I should have just came to the hotel with a positive Covid case that is the most disappointing news I heard that shows te Hyatt clearly does not care about their guests only the money!
Very nice hotel with plenty of space since our room was a suite that has been partially upgraded; however, the clerk that checked us in treated us poorly because we didnt book directly with them. The bartender was friendly but disappeared from time to time to tend to other duties. Also be warned that the breakfast bar may or may not be included in your room package...ours wasnt but we didnt find out until after the fact.
This place is goregous. Booked through Priceline 66.00 taxes and fees equal 33.00. Its right next to the Braves stadium. This hotel was very accommodating. Filled with very polite and surprisingly nice and helpful employees. Very secure parking with Security and Security guards walk the halls at night. Very beautiful views. We stayed in the king suite with a 3 kids. The pull out couch was a queen size and the chaise was oversized so my 6yo had plenty of room. Towels were nicer than home. Plenty of amenities free and for a minimal fee.
We called the hotel to book the room and they glady took our money. When we got to the hotel there was over 15 people waiting for rooms. They neglected to tell us that they didnt have any clean rooms. The wait was over three hours (others had been waiting longer). We finally got a room at 12:30am. Avoid this hotel at all costs due to the absolutely terrible management and poor communication. If you have several people waiting for rooms please dont book new ones.
Did not ask much from this place but for someone to make a copy of a piece of paper for my business work while staying here for three nights and spending plenty of good money and even paying for parking which was ridiculous. The girl looked at the paper read it and then pause for a second only to lie and say that the copier was broken. Very obviously done. not sure what happened to customer service these days but we didnt even ask to have the beds turned this was the only thing we needed and we couldnt even get that done. Extremely disappointing, normally stay in Hilton hotels and well make sure in the future to go out of our ways to not go away from the Hilton brand in the future. Hilton Hotels never disappoint!!!
Nice large room with living room and a separate bedroom. Very convenient to SunTrust Park. Breakfast in the restaurant is great. Probably the best breakfast I have had at a hotel. The only issue we had was that I had requested an early check-in between 1:00-2:00 multiple times and when we got there, they said they did not have a room available. But they were able to locate one and got us checked-in. Thank you!
This is one of the most impressive hotel rooms Ive stayed in. The room was very large and even had doors to separate the bedroom from the living room and kitchen area. It was great when the kids went to sleep and the adults could stay up without disturbing them. The indoor pool was an added bonus for the restless kids. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Not a huge fan of this hotel. Location is problematic with limited dining options. Lighting in the rooms is abysmal - very dark. My bathroom door had what appeared to be hair dye spattered on it. Everything has a charge here - even coffee which is free in most competitors. Bed was comfortable, ac was cold, and staff was friendly. There are just far better options at this price point and even less that offer a far better value. Will not be returning.
The absolute worst guest experience Ive ever had with a hotel, as soon as we arrived the problems started, we were told we werent allowed to off load our luggage at the loading doors, and had to go park in the rain and walk our stuff, including electronics through the rain. We were disallowed from using the carts or the shuttle because of more important people are using them at the moment apparently a VIP bus had just unloaded before us. We were told the complimentary park was not for us, forbidden to park on the top rung of the three ring parking lot, and told wed be charged 12$ per car for parking on the lower tiers. We were here for a convention at the Cobb galleria and after waiting an hour to get a shuttle there(literally a mile and a half from the hotel) when we called to return, the hotel didnt send the shuttle, because again more important people are using them after another hour wait they sent an derelict van, which we were happy for but the troubles did not stop there. Not even a minute on our way back to the hotel, the bust broke down completely and we were forced to wait even longer, in a bus, in the middle of the road, when the driver had told the manager before coming to get us that the van was malfunctioning. We ended up having to take 2 Ubers and an hour and some change to get back to the hotel for something that should have been a 10 minute process. That was the first day of our 4 day stay here. Needless to say we wont be staying at the Hyatt regency suites again. Id prefer a red roof over this..
This was one of the most beautiful hotel rooms I have stayed in! Very comfortable bed, nice living room area, and two TVs. Starbucks coffee and coffee maker, very nice pool and garden area to hang out in. There was a place to do laundry and ample free parking, which was important because we stayed mid-road trip. There was one small hiccup with my reservation but the staff fixed it immediately and we had a great experience during our stay.
Very nice hotel. The separate living room and bedroom were nice to have. You could even close the doors between if you needed more privacy. There was complimentary coffee and fruit infused water all day. So nice to have free parking in Atlanta. The waterfall and pool were really pretty. We had a great view of them from our room window. It was nice to have a pretty view that’s not a parking lot or highway. It’s not super budget friendly, but if you want to spend just a little extra to have a luxurious experience, this is a good bet. We didn’t use our room very much, but I could definitely picture spending the day inside and relaxing or having to get work done from the hotel.
When I first arrived, my check-in was going fine until I was notified of a non-refundable $100 pet fee. Though I understand the fee, it was not mentioned when I booked the room, so it was a very unpleasant surprise. Additionally, parking is $10/day and the lady checking me in felt it necessary to remind me SEVERAL times that there is a camera when I declined, as if I would try to sneak in a gated parking lot. I had to make a lot of trips back and forth to get my stuff into my room because I was checking in alone before picking up my mother from the airport, so I took a break to use my room’s bathroom when someone came knocking insanely hard telling me I had to move my car. My potty break took longer than anticipated because the toilet did not flush (pictured, sorry for the gross image in advance). Once I got all my stuff into the room, I picked up my mother an brought her back to the room and she insisted on adding the parking. Turns out, they had already charged me even though I had initially declined it and took that accusatory bashing for no reason.Later that night, we tried to order some extra toiletries and the phone did not work. I had to walk to the front desk. We also asked about breakfast that Priceline said was included and they told us it wasn’t (it was actually $18, ridiculous). The next day, we came back from our trip to the Georgia Aquarium (highly recommended, 5 stars) to a letter slid under our door letting us know that there would be no water from 9AM-9PM the next day due to plumbing issues. The room was very dim and not well-lit at all. I guess that’s nice for a romantic stay, but I was with my mom, guys. lol There was one remote for both TVs, they charge a $140 incidental fee which they claim will be refunded after my stay, and the old fashioned key card did not work very well. I counted once and I had to enter it 7 times before I could open my door. Also, turndown service/room cleaning is only done every 3 days unless you request otherwise and if you have an uncreated dog, they’ll never come in (which I don’t blame them for).Overall, I don’t think Hyatt sucks as a brand, but this stay was super memorable for all the wrong reasons. If there are any typos in this review, it’s because I wrote it in rage.
The best part of this hotel was the wonderful hotel captains, Paul & Henry. Every time we saw them, they greeted us w a smile. They couldn’t have been more accommodating w our transportation. Loved the free shuttle to our meeting which saves us Uber money. Rooms were fine spacious and clean.
I stayed here for 6 nights on a business trip, while the building and equipment such as elevators and carpets show their age the staff and service is just as good as any other Hyatt. The room was nice and spacious, the housekeeping staff was as expected, they were there but they werent there. The only gripe that I had was the way they charge for the in house food service. If you order room service, they tack on a delivery charge on top of a 22% gratuity which comes out to around 30-40% of the actual food costs. So be warned when you order in room dining services; there are plenty of great restaurants around the neighborhood and you can walk to them in 10~15 minutes and pay a lot less. This is the only reason I knocked off one star.I will probably stay here the next time I go, but just avoid in room dining.
Hyatt Regency suites was absolutely beautiful on the outside. When we checked into our room the refrigerator was leaking real bad they correct instantly, and there was a couple holes in the ceiling in the bedroom, bathroom and by the sink . The next morning we was approached twice about breakfast after we told them it was included in our stay. She didnt believe us I asked her to check the front desk which she did. How embarrassing we were right she apologized. The next day when we got ready to check out they charge us twice for breakfast. She corrected it but know we have to wait 3 to 4 business days for their mistakes.
Terrible. got charged before i even checked in when they said i didn’t have to pay until i checked in. Barely got to my room because you have to be 21 to get a room but i put my age in(i’m 20) on the website and i was allowed to purchase. the rooms don’t get cleaned everyday during a pandemic which is stupid. worst Hotel i’ve been too
The room was fine. The main draw to this hotel was the free shuttle to and from Suntrust park. The sign states that the shuttle runs until 2:00 am. After the game we called twice and were told the shuttle would be there at 11:30. We waited 45 minutes and never even saw a shuttle. We had to walk far away from the park and then pay an extra $20 for an Uber. When we finally got to the hotel a group was already complaining to the front desk that the shuttle never picked them up either after they called and talked to the staff. The woman at the front desk kept interrupting them and said Theres nothing we can do about the shuttle after 10:45. We talked to her one of the two times we called about the shuttle and she was the one who told us it would be there at 11:30. She was incredibly rude and kept interrupting and refused to do anything. For this price, we could have stayed closer to the park and not had to pay to park our cars at the hotel. Awful front desk.
The hotel was gorgeous, clean, and well kept. I give this location 2 stars due to their lack of attention to our reservation request that resulted in a pretty much sleepless night during the last day of our stay. I booked the hotel stay 3 weeks before our stay that included a pet friendly room with double beds. (My 70 year old father, 2 year old daughter, and chihuahua were traveling with me). When we arrived I was told that the valet wasnt operating due to a 250 person party over the weekend...this led me to strategically make mulitple trips to get all luggage and everyone to the hotel room. When I arrived to the hotel room I realized that there was only one bed and a pull out couch. I asked the front desk about the 2 beds that I had reserved and they told me that 2 beds were not available for the pet friendly rooms. I asked to purchase another room that connected or upgrade to a suite. I was told that the entire hotel was booked and no such room in the pet friendly area existed. (Im not sure why the website had allowed me to reserve something that didnt exist). The last day of our stay we arrived back around 8:30-9pm. My daughter was to eat and then go to bed, but the DJ and add-on tent were 30ft outside of our room and the music/bass were much to loud for anyone to sleep. I went to the front desk and asked to purchase another room- anywhere in the hotel, any type, and any price...so my daughter and father could get some sleep. I was told that there was literally nothing available at any price or any location for the night, but that the DJ wouldnt be playing long, as he was only contracted to play until 1am. (Only 1am with a 2 year old in tow made me chuckle) At this time in the night I decided that packing up and relocating to another hotel would just be an even bigger pain in the butt, so I decided to tough it out. I recorded by video how loud the music was in our room throughout the night. My toddler finally went to bed a few minutes before midnight. I plan on contacting corporate for a refund on the night, as I might have been better off buying a table at a night club for my father and daughter to sleep at. Ive been attempting to contact their location by phone, as I still havent received my receipt via email yet and I checked out nearly 6 hours ago. I havent been able to get through to someone and the recording is telling me that they are you experiencing longer call waits than usual. Additionally, I ordered $100 worth of room service during the last night stay and for the price found that the food was very underwhelming- the shrimp scampi linguine was essentially noodles and shrimp in watered down melted butter. I have always enjoyed staying at other Hyatt regency locations, however this location was less than satisfactory and not what Id expect from them.

2022-05-03Overall, we had a good stay. I really appreciated having a separate sitting room from the bedroom. We were able to put our son there in his pack and play while we slept in the bedroom. It made for a restful night for all. However, it should be known that you have to pay $12 for parking and breakfast isn’t free. When we booked this room both of those facts weren’t advertised. Also, both when we were unloading our car and reloading it when leaving, there were NO luggage carts available. This proved to be very difficult with all of our luggage and with trying to keep track of our son.

2022-05-18The hotel seemed a little dated in certain areas, but it was very clean. I could see they were working on updating some of the rooms during my stay and that will only enhance the stay for future guests. The staff was very friendly and informative. Most importantly, the water was hot and the bed was comfortable. I really do like having a separate living area from the bedroom. It just feels more cozy.

2022-01-03It just okay because the toilet ran periodically however, I did call the desk to have someone come check it out. A very nice gentleman came and he changed the flapper in the toilet however, that didnt solve the problem it continued to run again. Also, the sink and the tubs water was slow running out. Again I called and asked if someone could fix the problem. And the same gentleman came and repaired it. They did offer breakfast but it was a little too expensive for me. $12-16 for your regular breakfast fare. Other than that I had a good experience in the room. It was very spacious because I had a 2 bedroom queen suite. I would recommend the hotel and would go again.

2022-03-31When my usual hotel gave my reserved room to another party I hopped over to this Hyatt and received a warm welcome from Jennifer at the front desk. She took time to show me rooms that might fit my needs and put positive energy into making sure my needs were met. Any employer can force staff to smile at you, but having staff that engage helpfully is a real blessing.

2022-03-21My sister and I stayed for four nights straight. After one day we realized housekeeping had not tended to our room yet. We called the front desk and they informed us that we had to request it (which is odd at a hotel, they usually only do this at extended stays). This was only our second night & our room wasn’t that bad so we put in a request for the next day. We came back to the room and the room was still a mess! I had to request fresh towels each night. Our room went unattended the entirety of our stay! I even had to request a comforter for our second bed because only one bed had a comforter. It turns out that they are low staffed due to the pandemic, however as a guest that is UNACCEPTABLE! If you don’t have enough employees to tend to housekeeping then you don’t have the basic requirements to run a decent hotel. I’m appalled because it’s in a great area near other great hotels. The only thing that stopped us from going elsewhere, was everyone else was fully booked due to St. Patrick’s Day festivities. Management needs to do a better job. This is DEPLORABLE!

2022-06-05Positive: The hotel was more like a conference hotel vs a family place. Beautiful decor, great staff and nice suites. The pool area and outdoor patios were beautifully landscaped. Staff was very nice. Negative: We arrived at 8 pm and wanted to eat and swim. Unfortunatley, the kitchen was closed and pool open from 930 am to dusk. therefore I had to run out for food and no swim. I did sneak in the pool at 8 am. The pool guy was so nice and didnt mind.

2022-05-08As a Hyatt elite member I have not enjoyed my recent stays here. I was checked into a room that had a leak in the ceiling. I brought this to the manager attention and she was very dismissive about it. She was nice but disregarded my concerns. As someone with bad allergies and an emotional support animal that was licking that area I really expected my concerns to be address properly. Luckily my dog has a strong immune system or else I would’ve had to take her to the vet for licking dirty ceiling water. You can tell this isn’t a first time occurrence in that room as you can see the wet spots on the ceiling. I wasn’t even offered complimentary parking for my inconvenience. As a Hyatt ELITE member and someone that spends a lot of money with Hyatt I am extremely disappointed in how management handled this situation. Since management said it was ok for water to be leaking from the ceiling where guest are staying I’m sharing it with the public. My other past stays I encountered the house keeping barging in my room without knocking on multiple occasions despite me telling them someone is in the room. They didn’t even apologize for coming into my room unannounced while I’m not fully clothed.

2022-03-10Arrived at hotel after 9 pm. A long drive from Fla. Husband allergic to down, so asked for different pillows and blanket. Hotel was not able to provide. Needless to say it was a very uncomfortable sleep. Sink in bathroom wasnt draining properly. Lots of scuff marks on walls. This hotel isnt maintained very well. Wont be back!

2022-06-23Positive: I like that our room was super spacious! We were on the 7th floor so it was a pretty nice view looking out the huge windows. Negative: Yes our front sink water didn¿t work. We didnt complain about it because we just used the bathroom sink for everything. It was weird because I¿ve never had that happen before.

2022-05-16Check in was easy. However, it was painful to learn and hear their staff mention they have parking, but only for $12/day with no mention of the free parking on the other side of the building. I overheard the check in next to me and the staff member said, we have parking and it costs $12 per day. The guest asked if there was somewhere else and the staff member said no. Im not sure if we found a loophole by parking on the other side. Our room was not in great shape. The walls looked like there was a leak at some point and not in good condition. The shower rack was coming off the wall so we could not get the curtain to stay in place. Water everywhere. One night before bed, the shower tub clogged up, they did not come fix a 2 minute job until the following morning until 10:30AM. We asked if there was another room open so we could shower and get on with our day and we were told no, they were fully booked (which was a lie).Overall, service was terrible, room was terrible, but we had a place to sleep. Definitely wont stay here for my next Atlanta trip though.
