Ingles Markets in other cities:
I absolutely love coming here! Especially in the morning when theres nobody else here you can smell the fresh bread that have been cooked and also see a lot of the fresh floral arrangements that have been put out. I love stopping by the Starbucks in here to collect my aadvantage points. I just wish the prices were a little bit lower but I love supporting our nearby States
Great selection of bakery goods - the variety pack of brownies tastes fabulous. They have an extensive range of alcoholic beverages, fruit, meats, and an olive bar! I would recommend getting a member card or whatever it is (Im not sure as was in the area for a vacation and i dont think we have this supermarket in Central Florida), as the savings looked to be huge on some items (almost $5 off of some wines!). There is also deli counter where you can get your sandwiches made - this looked to be very popular! Great place to get your supermarket / big shop goods for the week from.
I have stopped buying ice cream and other frozen treats from this store because it is always partially melted then refrozen. Edit: It happened again this time with frozen stir fry bag, concealed inside was a freezer burnt brick, obviously thawed and refrozen. I have seen pallets of freezer goods in the isle thawing with a puddle of condensation around the pallet meaning that the pallet has been sitting there awhile.
I really wish we had one of these back home. Picked up thick cut steaks and pork chops from the butcher as well as fresh veggies for sides then took them back to the cabin to grill.Save yourself some money in the Helen, GA area and not just eat out. Especially when this wonderful supermarket is right down the road.
Store always seems very clean and pretty well stocked. Love their produce and meat selection. I hate that they made self check out debit or credit card only. I carry cash all the time, now I find myself standing in longer than normal lines waiting for 2 or 3 items while no one is in self check out. Dumbest move they ever made.
The store had everything we were looking for and then some! It was super clean and the wonderful smells from the deli just made for an awesome, enjoyable experience. Ashlyn checked us out and was very pleasant but what struck me the most was that she noticed a crack in a pie crust the customer in front of me was purchasing. She made the customer aware and offered to replace it. That attention to detail impressed me. Keep up the good work Ashlyn!
Amazing store! I was shock when I saw how big it was. Fresh items in the bakery department and beautiful fruits. Nice and clean area. Employees should be aware of NEVER lowering their mask to talk to someone, that’s all... but thats happening everywhere due to the lack of knowledge or being an ignorant.
From a customers perspective, its one of the better stores. However, the way they treat their employees leaves a lot to be desired. I quit working there on 4/16/21 after being denied my mandatory meal break when I had already been on the clock 5 hours that day. BTW that required 30 minute meal break is completely policy, not state or federal law.
Dont like their baked goods, nothing has flavor. Most of the time I like shopping at Ingles. The selection is good and most of the staff is friendly. Bad enough most of the customers dont wear masks but today the cashier had hers pulled down under her nose. Also today, the price for item on the shelf said 2.98, at check out it was 5.98, very disappointed.
A grocery store conveniently located on the way to the cabin. We can fill the gas tank for the last leg through the mountains (usually enough to get back out of the mountains) and get the groceries we need for our time at the cabin. The prices for everything are comparable with any other location, so at least they arent gouging the customer.
Went to get some baked goods. While I consider Ingles a bit pricey compared to Krogers or Wal-Mart, they have the best Bakery of any grocery chain. My wife likes their Chocolate chip and Pistachio muffins. I love their Tuscan bread with the hard crust and soft inside.
Ingles is Awesome. When I moved to North GA I was so glad when I discovered that the local grocery store is an Ingles. They have the best quality meat.. hands down and Ive never bought (or even seen) bad produce in their stores. Even the Deli and Bakery could compete and beat any of the other °well known grocery stores.
Clean store practiced safety, only 1 issue which may not be issue for anyone else was savings by card only which they did not have a store card as some markets will scan for out of towners, so had to fill out all personal info at cashiers line for savings even though will not use again as there are no stores around me. Nice well stocked store with lots of different selections, would shop if one was near me
I love Ingles, I truly do. They have things that other people dont. But...the sweet girl working the sandwich bar in the deli was...very talkative which is fine but every time she spoke she stopped making my sandwich lol. Which again is fine only I had a meeting I endedup running late for due to this.Also...The Asian food they have at the deli is absolutely awful. More so the rice which tasted like a bad batch of ricearoni. Id be happy to teach them a proper fried rice recipe for free!!
This location is a true gem for the community. They always have fresh produce and their deli department could be its own restaurant. Staff is always courteous and friendly and the restrooms are clean. Five star service and the model for how all grocery chains should try to emulate.
Wonderful grocery store with great selection. However, the service is lacking and could use more training. The bag boys ( generally teenagers, not the nice men) dont even offer to help unload your cart ( publix market is amazing for that) or help you out to your car, they just roll their eyes and act like its so inconsiderate of me to ask them for that.
Clean organize and friendly staff had no issues it was pretty easy finding all my items going up-and-down the aisles its definitely not congested or and organize where you dont know where anything is so if youre in town I would definitely recommend visiting and finding everything that youll need. Also expected says spend some time because it is not a small location where youre in-and-out in like 5 minutes so definitely plan to be there for at least 20 to 30 minutes
The best Ingles I have ever shopped. Always fresh produce. The employees have carried special items necessary for my fathers dietary restrictions. Very clean and stocked. Also like the contemporary Christian music played in the store like many of the merchants in Cleveland, GA
Very unfriendly. When you go in it so confusing. You first view is starbucks. Love starbucks but it suppose to be ingles. Then your second visual is the flowers. By the time you get your cart and start shopping youre full and then you have to refocus and remind yourself. Oh yeah! Im here to shop for food.
Ingels is a terrible store, management treats there employees with total disrespect they treat us like we are some type of mechanical machine that they can control.and they think that the customers are just a bunch of crabby old people and tell us to just deal with them.I can’t even talk to the customers when I’m taking out there groceries or I’ll be told that I’m slacking off I’ve never worked in a more toxic environment where all the employees hate there lives because of there job. I highly think the ingels in Cleavend Georgia should not be ran by the same management that it’s being ran by and I was even told that by multiple customers Cleveland in Ingles is a terrible store and needs new management.
We were visiting the area and stopped by to get a few things. Clean and well stocked, nice produce department. We bought a small cake and that was so-so at best. Checkout was efficient but not that friendly.Hate the part about needing a card to get the best price. Gimmicky and not good for visitors.
Deli clerk was very rude. My mom asked questions and he was rude and didnt know anything about the products. She wanted rotisserie chicken which boars Head makes but instead we got classic chicken.Cashier at check out didnt speak which I find rude as well. I have always felt welcomed here until the last few times I have shopped
Having worked for Ingles for 15 years, I have a unique perspective of the market. The selection in all areas is wide and varied. If you need gluten free, they have everything you could want. If you want organic? The same is true. In our area, the only competition is Walmart and Ingles has items that Walmart does not.
Oh how I love this place has a wonderful warm entrance into the store and then bam my fav Starbucks right there in front cant be better than that. The Isles are very open plenty of room good meats freshest vegetables Ive seen at any store and quite some time fruits perfect ready to be eaten
Beautiful store... prices are highGotta knock down my rating... As I noted, high prices. Just a couple examples from today. Thought I was rung up wrong, mgr checked, Cherries 6.98lb, correct, told me there was shortage. Wal-Mart 3.47/ lb. Town house crackers 4.29 a box, Wal-Mart everyday 2.50. Unless its on sale they take advantage of you. Sales prices only get you in the range of many places everyday price. Wal-Marts on line service is incredible, place your order, they let you know in advance if they are out and make a substitution that you can change on line if you dont want... even the produce they pick out is very good. Tend to want to buy all my meat from Costco.
Best place to shop in the local area. I worked here 3 summers, including one year in the Starbucks. The staff can come across as uncaring, but given the demographic of its workers, is unsurprising. The store is generally clean, and the cashiers are generally understanding of price discrepancies. There is a growing section of gluten free items. If you sign up for emails, you can get additional secret coupons, which I would recommend.
Clean store, but expensive. I routinely see things at 10-20% more than other stores. Forget shopping sales, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve tried to buy sale items and their empty shelves are all I find. They stay that way for days, too. Produce selection is sub-par, cauliflower for $5 a head. No thank you. If you belong to the 1% you’ll love it all. If not, good luck.
I think Id rather spend 4 hours at this Ingles than I would inside of Lenox in Atlanta (then again, some people in Cleveland probably dont like malls, Im just making a comparison). It has everything. And it is bustling with life during the daytime, I mean packed. It really does feel like a mall in here. Everytime I go. As for the Ingles itself, its Ingles and its in North Georgia, the service is outstanding. Everything is clean. Everything is well stocked and organized ... Logically.
I want to tell you about a situation that took place today in the Ingles, Cleveland, Ga. This is pretty much a typical story when shopping at Ingles whether you are shopping in this store, or any other Ingles in other surrounding counties (Blairsville, Hiawassee, etc). When asking a store clerk if they carried a certain product, she did not know the answer, but finally after prompting her to go find out, she returned with this answer, “I don’t know, and there is no way to check to see if that product is carried here!”I then went to the deli. I specifically asked for Boar’s Head Pancetta (because they are a certified gluten free product), and I also told him that I was celiac, and asked if he would please clean the meat slicer before slicing my order. He grunted in response. When he went to the slicer to begin my order, he placed the meat onto a slicer that he had not cleaned at all! I reminded him that I needed it cleaned, and he grunted as he removed the pancetta off of the slicer, and placed it onto the counter face down, without any protection.I eported these problems to the store manager, and once again, I got a placated “employee handbook” answer.Ingles in the North Georgia mountain areas needs some competition to know how a real grocery store works and operates!
One day I was pulling in and I noticed a women in distress. I asked if she was ok? In fact, she had slipped on the wet floor and injured herself inside Ingles. NO ONE tried to help her in the store. I did what little I could for her. I was and to this day remain appalled. I pray she is ok! Love thy neighbor
Used to be my favorite Ingles until recently. Now that they have new shopping carts, which on the plus side are quieter, you have to unload your own cart rather the cashiers doing it. Along with the new shopping carts, they also seem to have gotten rid of the baggers too. I havent seen one the last 3 times Ive been there. As a woman in her 60s with chronic back pain and severe arthritis in my hands, I just cant shop at this store anymore unless its just for a few items. The last 3 times Ive been there I have spent between $200 - $250, which means I got quite a few groceries. By the time I put all the groceries on the counter, bag them, put them back in the cart, and then load them in the car, Im in so much pain Im in tears. And I still have to get the groceries out of the car at home and put them up. I spend the whole drive home wondering how Ill be able to do that. For some of us, especially those of us with chronic pain, grocery shopping is hard enough without the store adding extra work for its patrons and thats exactly what this store has done. It doesnt seem like a big deal, putting groceries on the counter. 10 years ago I wouldnt have given it another thought. But now it has become just one extra step in what has become a very painful process. Obviously Ingles didnt consider the difficulties that Im sure quite a large number of their patrons have. In fact Ive heard several women my age and older talking about this while Ive been shopping. Today was just the final straw for me. Ill spend my $250 in Clarkesville from now on. They dont add that extra step and theres always a bagger even if it means waiting a couple of minutes.
Shopping at ingles has always been a pleasure and is still the only place I buy fresh meat products. With that being said tonight I bought milk and didn’t think to look I mean surely expired milk wouldn’t still be in the cooler but what do you know I got home and the date was September 29, 2017, today’s date is October 10, 2017. So I will start checking all dates on everything I purchase from there from this point on. I have had to go through all the packs of tortillas on many occasions there and them all be expired even went and found someone all 3 of the times (each separate occasions) and told them they were expired plus told the cashier... what do you know guess what the tortillas were still expired the 4 th time I went back. Beware when shopping here they don’t check for expired foods like they should and continue to sell it. It’s bad when you can’t trust a major grocery store that’s has a big name... what a shame!!! Extremely disappointed that I have wasted more money!!!

2021-09-26All I can say is WOW! THIS IS A HUGE GROCERY STORE! Great selection of healthy foods. The aisles are very long and wide for comfortable shopping without bumping into shoppers or having to wait for someone who has their cart on one side and shopping on the other side.We are vacationing here and when I leave to go home Im going in to shop to take home goodies I cant find where I shop at home..

2022-05-27Clean. organized, lines were long but cashiers were quick and friendly! Had no problems finding an employee and was pointed in the right direction! Fresh fruits and bakery sections were tasteful and inviting. Recommend this quick stop grocery store to anyone passing thru or locals as well!

2022-07-14Its good to be back in the area. I moved to Savannah for a while, and there was no Ingles. I missed it. Great selection with okay prices, and the produce section actually has fresh produce, which was a rarity in Savannah unless you went to a specialty store.

2022-05-13NEVER buy fish or meat here. Walk up to the seafood counter. Just about to order and see a ROACH sitting inches from the seafood. Just wanted to throw up. Employee walks over and asks if I needed anything. I said not now, you have a roach sitting right there. He says, oh. Then just takes his hand a brushes it on the floor. Ugh!!!! So freaking gross. We will never buy open food here again!!

2022-07-15I walked up the CS counter to exchange lotto and coin star and stood there for 5 minutes. I was looked at by the associates, but never acknowledged. I know they were interacting on something, but a “hello” or “be right with you” would have been lovely. Then I went to use the the gas pumps. Did you know that they can not look up gas points….at the point on sale where they would be used? That seems like a useless system. After receiving that information, I asked to prepay on pump 4…..which she then told me was out of order. There was no bag. Please tell me what’s going on here. I don’t expect people to bend over backwards - nor was I asking them to - but basic, polite customer service would have been nice.

2022-06-25Great grocery store with a very nice deli and bakery. Some things are more expensive, but the house brands are reasonable. They have a gas station where earned points save you 5 cents off per gallon for every 100 points earned. What I hate is that your points do not roll over to the next month, so if you have earned 99 points on the last day of the month, you lose being able to add one more dollar for your benefits. We spend a lot at the store there and wish that could be fixed. Other grocery stores with fuel points do NOT have that limitation. Also, they have a Starbucks inside and an area where you can eat inside. So anything you get from their deli, Starbucks, or their very nice salad bar can be eaten there.

2022-06-04Love the store, staff is friendly but those self check outs are a pain in the tail with how sensitive they are. Would be done scanning so much faster if it didnt call for hp every 5 sec or stop me from scanning bc I put a bag in my cart.
