This was one of the cleanest hotels Ive been to, the price was decent as well. The staff at the front desk were very friendly, the room was a decent size with a huge mirror and sink area. The bathroom was very clean with a tub and shower, I was very satisfied with my stay here and I would recommend this place to family and friends.
The rooms was really nice and comfortable. I been there for 2 days and I will go back if I needed somewhere to stay but my only down side was that check out time is at 11:00 am and the lady came to my room first at 8:30 and said some people check out early well not me so an hour later I’m outside on the phone she says excuse me are you staying a extra night? Check out time is 11 why are rushing me out the door! If you go clean other rooms and leave me alone very ignoring!! I wish I would have seen her name
Comfy, clean, and we got a little bag of food from the front desk for breakfast since covid shut down the complimatry breakfast meal. We were told to leave our keys in the room when we left which I was scared to do since the contract said there would be a fine if we left our key in the room but we were never charged for that! Anyway, it was a great stay!
Positive: Close to I-95; clean, staff was efficient and friendly. Negative: It definitely could use an upgrade on some of the plumbing fixtures in the tub / shower -- it was adequate for an overnight stay (which is what we did) or maybe 2 nights but not more. It was clean and convenient to the expressway.
Though tremendous gratitude for the location and potential for such hotels, yet another time where a business caters to the bad type of guests repudiating the wondrous atmosphere that possibly welcomes if such was not allowed.Other guests are what can make or break the entire hotel adventure and this hotel, again, aligns with those who maybe one should not.Location is good.Rooms are good.Possibility is here, though some work needs to be done to get to that level.I do appreciate your time.God Bless,John GermanUpdated: Due to location, I came back for a little bit of time and things got worse in terms of hotel pandering to bad guests. So, though a quaint little hotel, things have not gotten better. Just an update for anyone looking for a place to stay for however long.
Said opened 24 hours. Got here but 4am from out of town and nobody was in the office or answering phone. What really sucks is it was booked online and its non refundable. Very disappointing especially for a 2 star hotel. Not good. Also they need a more professional website. I used weebly FREE website creator when I first started my business. Very nasty looking on the outside as well. It was trash scattered in different areas. I wish I could give them a 0 star review but then I cant post my thoughts. BEWARE!!!!
The rooms are disgusting! There were stains everywhere, the beds were itchy and there was a lingering odor. I found bugs in the bed and running about the room. Didn’t stay the night and will never return. Definitely not worth the price and rooms are non refundable. Terrible place to stay!
Overall my stay was very comfortable! If we come back on business again my drivers will stay here.First it’s Covid, services are limited. They have signs everywhere saying that. No breakfast at the moment and I expected that. I’m not staying at a fancy hotel.Cleanliness: I am the person that cleans up even at the nicest hotels. However there is room for improvement here. I would like to see my tub have a stopper in it in. This is a family owned establishment. They seem really nice and work hard to keep the facility very clean! Now on to the comment someone made about roaches... they are NO bugs here. The bed linens are clean, towels are clean everything regardless how dated it is is clean. The tubs don’t have a stopper in them, kind of annoying, but assuming they’re willing to pay for all the water wasted.BUT it’s a hotel for $60 after taxes. One thing as an owner myself is I carry a standard where if a small business owner is trying and I see they are working at their improvements I will support them. The owners of this facility care. They wear their masks! They’re doing their part. They’re remodeling. Check em out! If you don’t like it! Go next door! Not the Best Western lol I seen some sketch stuff there! Lol
I stayed there a week ago for a Entire week very pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of the Room And the friendliness of the staff no bugs no dirt no hair anywhere. They had a good breakfast the only thing that was missing was scrambled eggs lol. The only issue I had was one light bulb blew out and they replaced it immediately. If you are looking for a decent place to stay I recommend this Establishment my Room number was 117. And the rooms smelled great. Thanks again for the hospitality
Booked two rooms, both rooms was filthy! ciggrette butts and food on floor, spoiled meat in fridge. Drug perfanalia under/behind beds. I had two rooms booked for a week and my guys would not stay there. Front desk clerk said she could not say that other rooms would not be in same condition, that they do not pull beds out to clean. I ask for a refund and was told i was being charged for one night in both rooms even with my guys not being in the rooms but 10min. total rip off, very bad customer service.
This hotel is a GREAT WELL MANAGED property! my last experience in Georgia was HORRIBLE and involved TICKS! 😱😱😱 The Inn at Mulberry was was an excellent change! Clean, comfortable bed, polite and helpful staff ( thank you Mr. Ken) odor free, quiet and all at a FAIR PRICE! From a truckers perspective there is only spot for one truck and trailer combo in the back so call and reserve ahead. I had a 5 high stack of chassis and was able to fit easily under the veranda to get to the back parking. I think 13-6 would fit even though the clearance says 13 Mr. ken was a good spotter! this is a great stay and better than a motel 6 , super 8, etc. clean sheets, large towels and again friendly easy going management. many places charge the same or less and they are DUMPS! The Inn at Mulberry is a great value. the posted photos match the actual room so its not bait and switch . is it the Ritz? no. is it a CLEAN , quiet, well managed facility offering comfort and peace and quiet at an affordable price? YES! Absolutely YES! Thank you Mr. Ken, I will return in future trips.Respectfully, Zach
Im not usually one to take the time to leave a review, but I must say, I was thoroughly impressed by this hotel. Working in hospitality, my first thought when I pulled up and saw the doors were on the outside was oh no... this ought to be fun 🙄 but the gentleman at the front desk was very professional and funny, the rooms were spotless and beautiful, honestly. Looked like they had been recently renovated or something. It was nice. What really impressed me is that I accidentally left something in the room and hadnt realized it until they contacted me to let me know .... within 30 minutes to an hour after I left. A lot of hotels dont do that. I would give this hotel 10 stars if I could.
Nice hotel at a reasonable rate. I was put in a newly remodeled room on the lower level, and was very satisfied. Comfy clean bed, hot shower, and cold a/c. Cant ask for much more. Housekeeping was on point, and met my every need. Also, Ken (mgr.) is an outstanding dude. I will continue to stay at this hotel when Im in the area.
I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the room my wife and I received, for the price we paid. Truth is price was not even the factor in our decision to stay here, we were tired and wanted a bed for the night. We actually went to a competitor across the street. My wife went in and came back out mad as hell, saying that guy was an ass, Im not staying here! We pulled in here, got a jacuzzi suite for less than a regular room from the first place. I was skeptical, but the wife was happy with the services, plus the front desk attendant was so nice ( I wish I could remember his name) that I just went with it. Was surprised to find that the room was pretty nice, In quaint sort of way, definitely got our moneys worth. Comfortable, clean, and cozy. I think some of the bad reviews come from people expecting a 5 star hotel, I travel extensively for work and have stayed at a lot worse places for a lot more money. All in all a good room for a good price, with great customer service.
Good experience😎 Clean, updated, quiet. Importantly I stayed 4 day for the second time within a Month. Management offers a to go breakfast bag👏. Totally nutritious; bottle water plus a sweet treat. I usually do not eat breakfast. In that, I munch on those items during late night hungry bouts or midday snack. Certainly jonathan will visit again againBest Regards 👍
I have good impressions about this hotel.I could not rent a room at a Historic District and I looked for a hotel at neighborhoods. This hotel is in 18 minutes (by car) from the nearest public parking at Historic District. The staff is friendly. The room was clean. No smells. Clean bedsheets. There are a coffee maker, and hairdryer, and an iron.A breakfast was great. There was standard set of food, and waffles. The place for breakfast is comfortable.Thank you!
This hotel served its purpose: pretty clean, quaint, and decent beds to lay our heads for one night before continuing our drive. All staff were friendly. We didnt have issues with the room, so we did not have any extra interactions with employees. Water was hot and had good pressure. Room was stuffy at arrival but a/c worked quickly to cool it down. Breakfast area was clean and food was hot. Overall, this was a pleasant experience, good price, and we would stay here again.
The rooms are nice looking and clean for the price. It would have gotten a 5 star from me, but I used the toilet and tried to flush and it was broken. I was headed down to the office to tell them about it and on my way out of the room my door would NOT shut. The lock was jammed and wouldnt allow the door to close. They put me in a different room. I grabbed a hand towel off the towel bar hanging from the wall in my new room and it fell to the floor as soon as I did. Like I said....the rooms look nice but some repairs need to be done on the rooms. Also, as soon as I got to the hotel to get and pay for a room, their systems were down and I had to wait for a while just for the system to stay down and HAD to pay in cash without getting a receipt. I dont usually leave bad reviews, but they deserve this one.
Pros: The check in was quick and the rooms were fairly spacious and comfortable.Cons: Bathrooms and furniture are poorly maintained, cleaning service was very unsatisfactory (bloody towels, stained sheets), and the hotel seemed mostly unstaffed. The few times I saw anyone working, they seemed to be filling in for someone. On the day I checked out, there was no one at the front desk all morning. The free breakfast, scheduled from 6am to 9am, just did not happen. Overall, very poor service.
Husband and I were very happy to stop here for a nights sleep on the way home from New York. Didnt wish to spend a lot but we hoped for something comfortable and clean. Reviews caught my attention and were all true. Expect an older less updated hotel with character and very well maintained. Comfortable beds, friendly staff, and breakfast. For the price would definitely stay here again!
Great hotel for the price and location. We stayed here three nights and all of the front desk associates were very nice and helpful. The rooms are a little outdated but are very clean. The beds are very comfortable, including the sheets. We were also on motorcycles and they allowed us to park under the awning so they would be directly in front of a camera, we truly appreciated that small act of kindness. Definitely a great place to stay!
The room was very clean and pretty spacious. Management was very polite. The breakfast selection was small- a waffle maker, some bread/bagels for toasting, and three cereals. The front desk clerk said they’re swapping out all the mattresses this weekend, so it seems like they’re working on sprucing the place up.
Great location right off interstate 95. The rooms we stayed in were clean and wall to wall with unique decor more akin to my own house than any hotel Ive been to in years. The breakfast was great, complete with cereals, Belgian waffles, biscuits and sausage gravy, and many other options. Every one of the staff we encountered were genuinely friendly and helpful. No question, I will definitely stay again.
The hotel changed management in Feb. 2018 so I will assume that they are still working out the kinks. The room was a little dated, but ok. I did like the ornate mirror above the sink with a large gold swirling frame around it, but all the swirls get dusty easily and were definitely in need of a good cleaning. Our phone did not work. We found that out when we tried to call the front desk to ask for the WiFi password. There were plenty of channels to watch, however they didnt match the card with TV channel info. Lots of sports channels. A/C worked very well. The beds were comfortable and sheets were clean and comfy too. At the free breakfast in the morning we got there after they ran out of eggs, no bacon, grits were crunchy ( not cooked well) but the toast was good. They did have biscuits and gravy, waffles and cereal. The front desk/property manager was very nice which was a plus. Dont count this place out, as I am sure they are working on improvements. The price was good and we slept well, which was what we were hoping for.
We stayed at the Inn at Mulberry Grove three years ago and it was a really good experience. So we booked to come here again just this past weekend. When we first got there, we got a room that wasnt cleaned like the other rooms. That was ridiculous to begin with. The front desk did assign us to a different room after we told them about it, which was considerate. However, on our last day we went to go eat breakfast and the lobby was closed until about 45 minutes after they were supposed to be open. Because of this we werent able to get breakfast before we hit the road to go home. We called and told the front desk about this later in the day and the woman just wrote it off and didnt care about what happened. We wont be going back there again.
The staff were extremely nice at both check-in and check-out, as well as during breakfast. The price was extremely reasonable. No noise problems at all with other guests. Only small thing were that the bathroom could be updated a little bit, but other than that this will be our go-to place to stay during our road trips with the kids from Florida to Virginia and back.
Good location less than 30 minutes away from Savannah and less than an hour to tybee. The people at the hotel are very nice and attentive. Opted not to have room service during the stay. Found the room to be cleaned and comfy. Felt safe. The hotel is right off the interstate and across from a truck stop but yet quiet . They offer breakfast consisting of boiled eggs, waffles, toast, biscuits with gravy, cereals, milk,oj,fruit
We spent one night here. We arrived late so we were really only planning on sleeping and then moving on. Well we were pleasantly surprised with the room, considering the rate. It was not new but it was clean. Checked under the mattress, no bugs. The heat worked great, toilet flushed, shower worked although the shower head was a little busted up. Beds were comfortable. The problem is that the walls are very thin. You can hear pretty much everything in the other rooms. Both of our neighbors decided they wanted to watch television until well after midnight. One of them had the sound loud that I knew exactly what TV show they were watching. At 12:30 a.m. I called the front desk. One of them turned it down but I think the other turned it up. 30 minutes late, another call to the front desk. They said they would try again. No change, 2 a.m. walked down to front desk. They said they couldnt do anything. I went back upstairs, pounded on the door, pounded on the wall, nothing. I assume he was drunk and passed out. I had earplugs buy my partner didnt. This person didnt turn the TV off all night. At 7 a.m., we heard him groan, cough and then shut the TV off and hop in the shower. We had a rough night. So, if you bring earplugs, sound cancelling headphones or dont mind staying up all night, this place is OK.
My husband and I stopped for a night to rest on our way to Miami. Was a little hesitant but the rooms were clean, it was a quiet area, and the front desk gentlemen was very nice, and recommended sweet tea and grille for dinner and it was great southern food. Would definitely stay here again.
The staff was very friendly at late check-in. We did not wake up for the breakfast, but that is our fault. It was very clean for how outdated it is. The furniture wasnt bad(cute, but old)and the decor was beautiful(looked like someone had more of a BNB in mind 😃), but replacing the carpet and pressure washing would go a long way. It did smell a little older in the room, due to the carpet. It seems the cleaning staff is only worried about cleaning, which is wonderful, BUT coming from a hospitality background, little things make a huge difference. I.e. straightening the bed, standard folds for the towels, more towels, linen spray/carpet spray, etc. lt smelled like flowers right when we got out of the car so that was pleasant. I really had a great sleep, the bed was very comfortable and I liked both having a flat screen TV. I guess Im weird like that. Overall, the staff was enough to get me to come back to this hotel on the way through.
We came here and fell in love woth this laid back, quaint, peaceful hotel. The rooms are super clean and were just remodeled. Housekeepers and all front desk staff are GREAT!!!! Good honest people, who genuinely care about their guests! Hot breakfast offered everyday also. This is a great budget friendly hotel that is clean, no drugs and family friendly!
The staff is friendly (but they are very understaffed - the poor lady at the reception desk also has to filll the breakfast bar etc ) the room was clean but under stocked (towels, soap etc) - we had an issue with our toilet and they came right away and fixed it which was good. The breakfast bar can best be described as A trail of tears to the bar of disappoint even though the sign in front of the hotel says they have eggs and grits they DO NOT. So if you really want breakfast there is a waffle house across the street....
Stopped here on our way to Disney to break our trip and see friends in Savannah. Great price for the room. Comfortable beds and clean. The bathroom door did lock us out at one point thought bc it had a push lock handle, the door stop was directly behind the knob on the wall so be careful with that Its close to the interstate and convent to a lot of restaurants near by and the breakfast selection was good too.
Hotel ownership has changed since my last review, so had to take it from 5 stars to 1. During check in, staff seemed like we were bothering them. Got to the room, and it wasnt clean. Floors were dirty, toilet was still dirty from previous guest, mildew in the tub. There was rust around the drain in the bathtub, and the sink was cracked. No shampoo or conditioner to use. We have been staying here everytime we visit Savannah for the last five years, but after this experience we wont go back.
Do not bother. Paid for two nights in the jacuzzi tub room. The room was hot, took two hours to cool off. Cheap A/C unit under the window. Didnt work well and the people next to us smoked like a freight train. The A/C unit pulled it in and the poor seal on the door leaked it in and made our room in bearable. Comforter on the bed had three or four dark stains that stood out as soon as you look at the bed. First thing in the morning, we went to the office and checked out. Cant and not doing this another night. Wanted a refund for the second night. Clerk said she couldnt refund us and the Manager would call us. We never got a call and my card was charged for two nights. We moved to the airport Hilton Garden. It cost us a lot more, but was worth every penny after staying one night in this DUMP!! 🤬
This hotel is awful. This hotel should be a one forth star hotel. They need to air that place out and renovate the whole entire place. You can smell the awful old mildew smell from the stairs walking to the room. I did not see any mildew, because it looks like they just painted the room. The carpet and furniture is old. The chair in the room looked like they tried to repair it multiple times instead of buying a new one. My husband and I did not feel comfortable even sitting in the chairs, because they just looked nasty. Dust was all on the furniture and appliance in the room. The sheets looked like they were okay, but we slept without the comforter. The picture and mirror on the wall need replacing, due to they had stuff on them. The hotel needs an exterminator for roaches. The iron boards was nothing, but a dust collector. The toilet stopped up when my husband and I were about to leave for the day and when we came back that night they did not fix the toilet. They just left a plunger next to the commode. They also only give you two wash clothes, two hand towels, and two big towels for a king bedroom.
We stayed in Room 214 on Friday, May 4, 2018. The smell in the room was horrible. A very strong chemical smell. So strong it affected our breathing by morning. We had a very late check-in of 11:30 pm and this was the last room available. Had the hour not been so late, we would have asked for a refund and found other accommodations.
My husband and I stayed there 4 nights this past week (oct 24-27), and really liked it. Was it the Hilton, no....but we dont need to stay at the Hilton. The rooms were clean, with laminate flooring. I dont like carpet, its not clean. The beds were comfy, we had a tv, air, micro, wifi. Theres no pool, but who cares? The people??? We loved the people. Oh! Did I mention the PRICE? Actually, I was afraid to book this motel/hotel because the price was so low. Please dont judge it by the price!!
We stayed here and it was one of the highlights of the vacation. The room was clean, comfortable. The bathroom is handi capped friendly . The complimentary breakfast was really good. The price was affordable.Highly recommended. Plan to stay there next time I get back to Savannah.
Actually, I was a bit surprised by this place. Finger point traveling is hard at best to find quality hotels within a small budget. The Inn exceeded my expectations.Great free breakfast with extremely nice guests and staff. Make your own Belgian Waffles with mix waiting for you. Grits, Biscuits and Gravy, Coffee, Juice and more. Better than some places twice the price for a night. The rooms do need some upgrades, tv and furniture are outdated- but, for sleeping and cleaning up - this place is wonderful!I would definitely seek them out again.
Rooms were decorated nice and looked like they had been newly renovated however the pillows and yellow drool stains soaked in on them...i bring pillowcases when i know i will be staying overnight anywhere but these were so stained we went to the local walmart and purchased new pillows. The staff was extremly nice and gracious. The continental breakfast was good however food was not permitted to be brought back to the rooms so if you didnt wake up by 930 when it shut down you didnt get to eat. I guess this is to prevent waste and food accidents in an effort to keep the rooms clean. The location was good...it is right off 95 so that is convenient if you are doing a trip to Savannah and cant afford the 300$ a night lodging in the historic district. The most upsetting fact is we booked online and paid $150, when we got there the rooms were only $60. This is very upsetting. But all in all if you have to stay at a motel this one is ok. The staff is what makes it nice.
This hotel was right off I-95 and an excellent distance to other areas in Savannah. Upon arrival we were greeted by a staff (especially L., with blonde hair.) that was friendly, helpful, and very accommodating. The rooms were fine, but breakfast on Sat. morning was disappointing: no scrambled eggs or sausage. But the Bavarian waffle was great and sort of made up for that. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
This was a pleasant surprise, I was nervous because of the low price and some old reviews. I have paid several times the price for rooms not so nicel. The room was pretty standard motel fare, and it was clean and nicely updated.and of a adequate size. We liked the location, it was quieter than we expected given the proximity of the highway. Our check in was fast and efficient, the desk clerk was pleasant and accommodated our request for a ground level room. She told us about the free breakfast and gave us some printed out basic info on things to do in the area. There was a coffee maker and a nice sized fridge, so we wished there was a microwave, there was a good location for one.The internet signal was good.and we were able to park close to our room.We heard no noise at all from other guests.Another pleasant surprise at breakfast, one of the better free ones, coffee with real half and half, sausage, egg, cereal, toast, juice, milk, can make waffles, vigilant attendant, nice area by desk, I almost feel guilty for not paying more (anything) but I did leave a tip.
Although this place was very outdated on furniture, tv, etc. the staff was great and the place was clean. For the money.... the price was right! Will stay again if we need a cheap place to stay for the night. Even though it sat close to the interstate we could not hear the traffic in our room. Free Breakfast and there were lots of happy people in the dining area.
We checked in after midnight. The girl at the desk gave us the room number and said the office would be closed and if we needed anything we would have to call the main number. We were in room 117. When we got to the room it smelled like backed up sewage and the room was dirty. We called the main number several times with no answer. There was a sign at the office stating no refunds.
I accidentally booked for wrong dates and the front desk helped fix it at no extra charge. Keys wouldnt work for room they gave us and they got us in a new room immediately. The breakfast was lackluster but Ive had worse. A basic hotel that got the job done. The customer service is what made staying here worth it.
With decent pricing, service was far better than expected. The reception staff made me feel at home. The only minus was that the refrigerator and heater were noisy. For breakfast, there are grits, waffle, and boiled eggs. I heard cars all night from outside because of nearby highway.
We were traveling with friends and needed to stopover for the night. Booked the rooms through priceline (never again!) and ended up at this dump. The patrons around the outside gave us doubts about staying. Nothing against anyone just didnt feel like a safe environment. Our friends couldnt get their keycard to work... not even the second time... or the third! Once they finally got their room open we all gathered to see what our options were nearby since we had all already been on the road for several hours. What absolutely sealed the deal for our departure was the bug we saw crawling across the wall! So far we have not been refunded our money... apparently based on their normal clienteles hourly rate we stayed too long to be refunded.
Where do begin. This place was dirty, outdated, in a bad place of town. We entered the room it was hot the AC was off and you get hit with a old stagnant smell. The TV is from the 90s and the control for the TV is given to you at check-in and you have to return it at checkout. The rug was filthy I was afraid to walk on it. We paid $103 for the night. Definitely not worth it. Dont stay here. It is also 25 minutes from the downtown area.
So the last visit two years ago Id give a 5 star. Not this time. The staff is very rude and one lady snaps at everyone in the morning bc we asked for coffee, as she was already doing the bare minimum anyway. Our hotel had a low running running ac and its 98° here and no microwave. Bugs in the room, shower and sink has water damage and is held together with caulk. Toilet running .Just dont waste your money !
First off. This could easily be a 4star hotel. The staff is super nice and accomodating. The location is easy to get to right off the interstate. The room itself was very nice and quaint. Small but big enough for the Mr and I. The floors were laminate which was a surprise! I hate carpet so it was love. The shower was hot and A/C worked VERY well. The beds were super comfy but wrinkled linens everywhere! Lighting in the room and bathroom area was quite dark. The TV was a flat screen but the reception sucked, no HD and no guide. The only thing I hated about this hotel was the God aweful old water smell that I just couldnt get out of the room. I sprayed air freshner and essential oil and it didnt work. My husband being a plummer said the water from the AC runs behind the wall and gets trapped moisture and over time has created mildew and thats what the smell was. The towels could have used some fabric softener in the wash as they were really scratchy. The WiFi was sketchy....signal very weak. Breakfast was awesome and hot and I loved the outdoor courtyard to sit in the morning! I may stay here again if Im trying to unplug from the world in a quiet location! Just bring strong ait freshner. With a little more effort....easily a 4star!
U r the greatest!!! Been staying there regularly for at least the last 2yrs. for business and pleasure. I stay there just as much as my own home. I have to tell you the biscuits and gravy are off the chain as well as the juice machine one of the greatest things that you ever put in got to love Minute Maid juices!!!!!!! If absolutely nothing else u have to have the breakfast!
Perfectly acceptable discount hotel. I was traveling from Florida to Maine and booked last minute as I decided how far to drive that day. Nothing fancy, but clean and safe. Complimentary warm breakfast in the morning as well. If you find yourself driving all day and just need to sleep, this place will do.
We had clean beds, a good size room, a mini fridge and free breakfast for a family of four, all for a very affordable price (they gave us a military discount). They had plenty of parking and the customer service was exceptional (kudos to Ms. Amanda and her husband). It wasn’t our first choice but there was no rooms available in any hotels in the area. If people expect a resort luxury type hotel they can pay 4 times more like we did staying at the RIU in Miami at the beginning of our trip.
The hotel has changed management. Its almost borderline about to start looking run-down. Its such a nice hotel though, and the location is perfect if you want a nice quiet place to lay your head and still close enough to downtown Savannah to have a good time. Really hope the new owners start taking pride in the interior of the rooms and the landscaping near the front entrance where the outside sitting area is. The furniture in the rooms was dusty! You could literally SEE a thick film of dust on the side chairs like they hadnt been sat in in a while.
If I could, I would give this a zero. We arrived to the hotel in the middle of the night after driving for 12 hours. As soon as we walked in, the smell of the room smacked us in the face! It was overwhelming! It smelled of mildew and dirt. The carpeting was wet and soaked through our socks. The bathroom was not clean and there were bugs crawling all over. We slept in as many clothes as we could for a few hours then ran to our class at 9:00 a.m. When we got back to the hotel in the afternoon, we checked out and asked for a refund for the 2 nights we werent staying. They only refunded one of the nights. The staff was rude and unprofessional. It was also a motel and in an area that our friends who live there told us was infested with drug users and homeless people. Its right off the highway and very noisy. I should have known when I saw cop cars patrolling the area when we arrived. P.S. I had asthma issues the following day and have since been to the doctor 3x and been on meds for the last 3 weeks! Still feeling awful.
This was the worst place to stay. Roaches in the room no towels and when we asked for towels the charged the card extra for them. When we asked about it they said that they can charge for anything they want to. If you stay here do not use a debit card they will keep charging when ever they want to.
Would not recommend this place. Gross. Very run down. Shame because front desk is so nice we didn’t even stay. We left and will not return. Do not stay here these are pictures from the room. There are DEAD bugs in the picture frame! GrossEdit: I booked this room through Hotels Tonight even tho we didn’t stay they still refuse to give us a refund. Do not use their services as this is the type of room you get!
Dont know why I gave it one star. Staff were very friendly, helpful, beds comfortable and the room suited our needs just fine since we were on vacation and only slept there so if the room was dated or bathroom small (which I didnt think so) so what? Id stay there again
I would give this a zero. We have been driving for 9 hours. We needed to stop and get some sleep and rest. I called and spoke to a sweet young lady Sierra. We book our rooms and when we arrive she gave us our room keys and remote and told us where the room is located. We get to the room and the carpet is filthy. I pull the sheets to check the beds stains and dead roaches and dirt on the sheets and covers. The ironing board is supposed to be white or creme it was stained with big brown marks. Room was ridiculously filthy. I had my 4 years old son with us. I went back to the front desk and spoke to the young lady she Called someone to let them know whats going on and she asked do you want another room or a refund. Refund please I told her. It just made me feel dirty and uncomfortable to be in that place. Maybe I just got unlucky with this room.
When my husband and I got screwed over from a reservation at name brand hotel, he found this one.. All I have to say is THANK YOU AND YOUR HOSPITALITY WAS ABOVE AND BEYOND AMAZING!! The room had some errors that needed to be fixed but they were kind and honest about it and even lowered the rate! The front desk lady was so helpful, kind, and was very nice to us. There breakfast was simply yet taste good!! All the employees there seemed nice and very caring. The next we visit down south I am definitely coming back to stay here!! And I will definitely be recommending this inn to all my friends..
The photos are not very representative of the rooms. Our room had a couple holes in the walls and they had tissue stuffed in them. There was no mention of the extremely busy road in front of the Inn. Breakfast...well lets just say hit or miss......mostly miss. First morning cereal, hard biscuits, make your own waffles.....last morning biscuits seemed to be from earlier in the week
Great customer service, very affordable price, very clean, everything I needed without costing an arm and a leg. Theres also a gas station and Waffle House across the street. What I loved most about the place is I felt secure and theres no suspicious activity around the premise. You can tell the people who work there love what they do.
I had stayed here before and it was good. This time i checked in weunt to my room and it was gross! Sink looked as if someone had barfed in it and there was what appeared to be blood stains on the comforters. I went back to front desk and asked for a refund. Was told that she was unableto do that and i would have to speak to a mgr.Well the Mgr is never in and was supposed to call me and never happened ive yet to recieve a refund and have had to dispute it thru my credit card company.Beware of this place very shady.
For the money in that area, it cant be beat. Front office clerk on Friday evening 21 August was very courteous, and the room was quite charming. The only issue I had was the climate control - either it was blast-furnace heat or icebox cold. I slept fine, in spite of that, though. I would definitely stay there again.
I stay here a couple times a year for the last 3 years. Its conveniently located - you can easily get to downtown Savannah, Pooler, and Tybee Island from here. And prices are much lower than what youd pay for rooms directly within downtown Savannah or Tybee Island. The rooms are clean. Im very particular about hotel cleanliness and the rooms here meet my lofty standards (I even use a UV light to scan the rooms, no problems ever found).
The room was dirty the quilts on the beds were stained. This is a picture of the nightstand draw, disgusting. The furniture is outdated and nicked up. The toilet was not working properly and the bathroom shower wall had black mold. The light switch was broken as well as the recessed lighting fixtures. I am not sure how this place got 3.5 stars. I had booked 2 nights but I checked out after the first night.
Well on the night of arrival we were told they just sold our room. They informed us they had onevupstairs. So I asked who would be carrying the handicap up the stairs. She said we would. So Mom & handicap daughter had to sleep in a car. Next they offered to rent our orginial room the next day at $ 100.00 more. Didnt have a choice needed a bed. Got into the handicap room and couldnt get the wheelchair pass the dresser. So handicap person had to crawl to get around in the room. Wish I could really tell all the problems. Please think twice about this place.
My co-driver and I were stranded in Savannah for the week with a broke down truck. We rented a room at the comfort inn paying $140 per night. After the first day, we were told that we had to leave because of the incoming hurricane Dorian. As you can imagine, we were stressed out. We call the Mulberry Inn and they took us in regardless of the storm. The rooms were great, the A/C was cold and the staff was very freindly. Plus, they gave us a new t.v. The best part is we only paid half the price! We will definitely be coming back if we are in the area.
Very nice location, right by the interstate with some cute restaurants nearby (I suggest Sweet Tea Grille!). The rooms were decently clean and the staff was friendly. There is a nice courtyard to sit and drink your morning coffee along with the free breakfast (mediocre but free!). You cant beat the price so Im happy with our stay here.
Dont spend your money anywhere else! The hotel was great, everything you could ask for and for the cheapest price youll most likely find anywhere. Great location, right off rt95, 20 mins from the city. The staff were very welcoming and polite. Comfortable beds, and pretty darn good breakfast for free. Will definitely return on our roads trips to come.
First off, I wish I could given this hotel no stars. My husband and I checked in here tonight , we went to room 120, could not open the door to save our life, you had to push on it hard after the light turned green. Once in the room smelled horrible (like a dead rat/ moth balls and smoke) there was some kind of. Loud ionizer in the room to try and contain the smell/ disinfect the air in there! Which the guy tells us that room was not suppose to be rented out in the first place, (said he forgot to tell the guy at the front desk) because of something that happen in there, also roaches scattered off in different directions when we first walked in and turned on the light, the covers were stained and old. Dirt on the floor, the room look like itcjust was not cleaned properly. Anyways we went to the front desk, told them of our findings and that we were unhappy! The guy said okay, Ill put yall in a nicer room with two beds, we said okay, to just give them a chance to make it right. We go down to 117, and crumbles of dirt on the floor, it smelled like cigarettes like someone just smoked in there 5 minutes ago, and to top it off someone had slept in the bed by the bathroom. The pillows and covers on the bed were all a disarray . My husband and I go back to let them know what we saw, he says (In a non considerate voice) Well theres just no making yall happy, So yall can leave and go stay somewhere else . So than we said, okay, we want our money back! The guy says well, I cant do that because I do not have the authorization to transfer the money back to youre card, you will have to wait until the manager comes back tomorrow! Have a good night!😕😐😠 Seriously, thats how Inn at Mulberry Grove is run??!! Please save youre self the time, money, aggravation and trouble and do NOT stay here! Go stay somewhere else, TRUST ME!!!!
Zero stars it was a nightmare. Spiders all around the ceiling above the bed and everywhere in every corner of the room. There was dust and cobwebs everywhere. The door would not lock properly and the rest is just a $50 motel expectation. The towels are thin there is no microwave the TV is a tube TV from when I was a kid. The toilet was leaning to one said and molding behind it and would not stop running. The rest would be the people outside smoking weed and playing loud mexican music all till 2 in the morning. Just dont go
The service is awful. We checked into the room and had no towels. We were told that housekeeping would bring towels. No towels were delivered. We had to ask for towels that night. We were given TWO towels. The next morning we called for towels at 8:05am. We were told we had to wait for housekeeping who arrives at 8 am. By 8:30, we still had no towels. My husband went back to the front desk and came back with TWO towels...no wash cloths, and no hand towels. This is a hotel...with NO linen service! Who does that?
Rooms had Mold smells!!! All the rooms I pick were bad!!! Had to keep changing rooms!!!! Air conditioner turned off and dust starting flying out of the vent!!! But On the other hand the lady at the front desk was so nice and helped us fixed the problems and didnt complain at all!!!
Security Concern - I have stayed here monthly for the last 10 months and previously rated 4 of 5. However, On my last stay someone walked into my room about 45 minutes after I had gone to sleep. Apparently the front desk issued the same room key to someone else. This is unacceptable on many levels. Needless to say I wont be staying here again.
BED BUGS!!! We had to leave because we saw bugs everywhere! Not just roaches but bugs under the mattresses and black stuff. There were A LOT of roaches too! We called Orbitz but they tried to put us in another room which was better but still had bed bugs just less roaches. We check under the mattresses and mattress covers BEFORE we stay so thank God we caught it. BEWARE!!!!
How did this place get almost 4 stars considering 180+ reviews? We arrived here, it took quite awhile at the front desk to get our reservation straightened out and then, once we did finally get our key cards... WE WALKED IN on some poor guy who was already occupying the room! It was pretty terrifying for all of us... I read a review here that said this had happened to someone else, but I looked past this because I thought theres no way that could happen more than once, right?, people make mistakes, things happen but this is beyond any level of acceptable error. The area also appears to be pretty sketchy, lots of what appears to be hookers lingering and some loitering late night in the parking lot.
Your house keeping is horrible they complain about cleaning a room that they get paided to do, the lady at the front desk thinks its ok to talk to her customs crazy shes blatantly disrespectful with no customer service skills ect i spent over 900$ here so i could be closer to work and this is how i get treated she told me i was wrong for leaving my room a mess that i had been in for 3 weeks with no house keeping, save your money go to best western next door they have no problem doing there job. And i got bug bites from staying there everyone keep telling me the mosquitos are bad here but since i moved rooms i didnt have that problem i honestly think it was bed bugs. I didnt add that also because i refused to clean my room they threatened to call the law on me but why am i paying for service if i have to take my own trash ect... And change my own sheets?? Not to mention my high risk pregnancy and medical problems, they were very verbally abusive to me now on business trips I tell everyone whom needs to stay in that area to go next door to best western because the staff is great they dont give you problems and the rooms are in great shape also they dont verbally abuse there customers
This is an excellent hotel, especially for the price. The rooms are well equipped and very comfortable, the staff are friendly, and there is an amazing hot breakfast. I stay here every time Im passing through the area and need a hotel for the night, and I have not been disappointed.
Im writing this review because Im bored af in this hotel. Yep, 3 stars, heres why, because Im not shallow enough to just go 2. This place isnt the worst Ive ever been to so I wont go to 1. But lets face it, its not exactly top of the line either. Lets start with the room. It is very nice of them to leave a mini-fridge in there but its not really big enough for a pizza box. Bit of a disappointment not being able to heat my leftover pizza in a microwave too, because there isnt one. But hey, they have a clothing iron and Ive been to college, so I can get creative. Next to the almost useless mini-fridge is an old 36 inch box-style TV. Im pretty sure this TV is as old as the hotel itself, and who uses VGA anymore anyway? So I couldnt stream my favorite show from my laptop if I had an HDMI cord. That doesnt matter anyway because their internet is garbage. Is the entire hotel sharing the same router? In the bright side its free internet, so if I wanted to wait 2 hours to buffer a video about how to properly select a hotel to stay in I can. The curtains dont close 100% of the way unless you fold them on top of each other in some weird way. The cleaning lady knows this because they peek through before they bother knocking. Speaking of, they have a daily cleaning lady come by l, but I think its really only to see if you left her a tip in her tip envelope. Another thing is their bathroom. What a design nightmare that thing is. The bathroom is plenty big and Im amazed the door closes with its clearance being about an inch from everything. So unless its all the way open or all the way closed then its in the way. And yes I wanted to poop with the door open because Im a grown ass man and I can do that. Unfortunately I can see out the front window of the room from where Im sittin. which means people outside can see me too through my 95% closed curtains. Also, the light switch is on the wrong side of the door when you go in there. It should be on the sink/ mirror side because the first thing I want to see when I turn on your 2/3 working light bulbs is my pretty face. Not this poor excuse for a shower. Theres nearly zero break between the floor of the shower and the floor of the rest of the bathroom and the shower curtain doesnt rest on the inside all the way. You know what that means? Yep, water all over the floor when you get out. And I dont even know how because the water pressure in the shower is awful. I had to keep my eyes open because I wanted to make sure someone wasnt peeing on me. That is what I imagine it felt like. I could have just jumped in the pool but there isnt one. What if someone wanted to throw their non existing microwave in the non existent pool. It would make for a nice pool party I think. Totally kidding, but what Im not kidding about is the vending machine. Thats right, machine, singular. It steals your dollars, and its not very friendly about it. It was worth trying to get a drink because the only other place truly in walking distance is the pilot travel center across the street; which is a four lane highway intersection thats under construction with no crosswalk. This hotel is perfect for the Im stuck here because my vehicle is broke down, its going to be in the shop for a few days, and the red roof inn is full scenario. So yeah, 3 stars. Now excuse me while I go hit the hotels non existent gym. Oh yeah, free breakfast, 6 to 9:30 if you can get up that early.
Never going back! The staff is extremely unprofessional. I booked online, the guy at the front desk said it didn’t come through so we waited. Then again he said he couldn’t find it so I showed him my confirmation code. In the message it said “CHOICE:HOTEL,” the manager said that because it said that, i booked for the wrong hotel. Mind you “CHOICE:HOTEL” isn’t an actual hotel. After arguing to the man that choice hotel wasn’t an actual hotel his manager came out fussing at us, the CUST OMERS. He approached us yelling instead of asking what was the problem. The situation ended up with them cursing at us yelling “Get the F out.” The staff will never have to worry about seeing me again and I will recommend everyone I know to never book with Mulberry Inn.
We stayed here by mistake. My gf booked this hotel thinking it was the much more expensive mulberry on Bay St. We paid $50/night, and it was worth every penny. Clean rooms, cold ac, great service, free coffee & breakfast. About a 15 minute drive from historic Savannah. Not bad at all. For a Motel directly off 95, this place was perfect. Id stay there again. We did however make a mistake. We treated ourselves to a delectable dinner of Chubby Dogs & a Sassy Pickle at the EnMark gas station next door. The Chubby Dogs had the consistency of a garden hose, and the Sassy Pickle tasted like gargling with Clorox. Washed it all down with a Diet Coke. Mmmmmm. Go eat downtown ;)
Do NOT stay here , as soon as I walked in to check in there were roaches on the wall ! Told the people outside that there were roaches and they said , oh you should see it at night ! Immediately left and went to the next hotel down the street . Cancelled my stay and will NEVER return . Front desk could care less
Nice rooms, recently clean. Very old but well kept furniture. Tvs are box tvs so dont plan on using it to play your Xbox One unless you have a Hdmi-AV converter. Couldnt connect to the Wi-Fi using my nintendo ds but it works fine with most other devices. Staff seemed pretty friendly.
VERY NASTY PLACE. AMANDA THE MANGER IS NASTY AND RUDE FOR NO REASON. I’m a calm person just called to see what can we do about my food. THE REFRIGERATOR DOESNT WORK AND YOUR FOOD WILL SPOIL. SHE DIDN’T DO ANYTHING BUT YELL AT ME AND TEll ME TO GET OUT HER HOTEL AT 11. I asked to speak to someone else she said she owned the damn place and there was no one else and hung up on me. She never asked what room number. Roaches crawling over you all night. Hot water is Luke warm water. This place is falling apart fast. Housekeeping ignored DND sign and walks in anyway. The body towels are hand towels. No microwave in rooms They don’t deserve any star
I booked two rooms but was unable to make it to my rooms I called 10 minutes later to cancel my reservation the lady on the phone told me I wpuld be refunded but never gave it to me so I called back to see why I did not get my refund she then act as if she did not know what I was talking about and said the manager said I could not get a refund and lied said she did not tell me that then hung up on me
I called to reserve two rooms and was told to use the website, so I went to the website and reserved two rooms (one king & one with double) for 3 nights. One week later My family and I drove 9 hours only to find that one of our rooms had been given away & there were no other vacancies. The receptionist was rude and made no apologies for their mistake. Although the price is cheep, it is still to much to pay for unprofessionalism.
I walked in and thought the place smelled funny. Within 5 minutes I had an asthma attack..(which I only get due to mold). I had to find another place immediately in order to breathe. They still charged for the night which I plan to fight once I have my prescriptions in hand...Dont stay there if you have asthma... and no charm of any kind.
I didnt stay here and I never write reviews, but this was messed up. My radiator overheated during rush hour and u barley made it without my car burning up. I walked here to get some tap water, the nice girl up front let me get 2 bottles. When the Indian guy came back I needed a 3rd. He told me they accidently locked both doors. He just didnt want to give me any water... thats his right, he dont owe me anything. But this is what happens in America when you dont help a neighbor. Were all just trying to get by man, dont be like that.
Didnt even want to give it a 1. Dont even bother spending your money here. Infested with bed bugs and your neighbors are more than likely either doing drug deals, sex deals or both!!! Nothing is clean. Even the towels and sheets either have poo stains or blood stains!
This is a great price but be prepared for musky smell (leave air off until somebody is there) old towels felt like sand paper, bed sheets were somewhat okkkk...no pilloe case on one pillow other then that good deal for quick night, nice hot and cold breakfast, & convenient to highway.

2022-01-04The hotel was pretty decent. The staff at the front desk was nice and professional. Other than them checking me out before I was ready, it was a pretty decent stay. Check out was at 11:00 am and they checked me out at 9:30am. I took my bags with me when I walked down the road because I do not feel safe leaving my bags in the hotel since I knew they would go in without permission. So according to their rules or whatever if you take all your bags with you they consider thats a check out even if you dont call and tell them youre checking out. Ive had enough stuff stolen from me to be dumb enough to leave my stuff anywhere. They also do not have a wakeup call service unless you need it after 8 AM. 11pm - 8AM is considered after hours and if you lock your self out during this time you are charged extra to get let in the first time. After that they will make you stay outside all night. Even though you paid for the room they get free money and you get to sleep out in the streets.

2022-02-15My husband and I enjoyed our stay. The rooms were clean and cozy... The only thing that I didnt like was the chairs in our room had stains and tears which made me not want to sit on it unless I put a towel down.... Other than that I would definitely stay here again

2022-04-03Great economy motel in a very busy location The rooms were exceptionally clean and dust free. Unfortunately the building is older and has been remodeled with new flooring. U can hear ppl walking and moving their stuff around on the second floor. There is no breakfast but they do have snack bags. Overall not a bad place fir a night.

2022-06-19I had business in Savannah but didnt want to pay the $200-$300 per night in season summer rate to be close to downtown. The Inn at Mulberry was a 15 minute easy drive to down town and much more affordable. The first thing I noticed driving up was how neat and manicured all the bushes were. Everything was clean and swept and no trash anywhere. At check in the. host was extremely polite and efficient. I am somewhat handicapped. He gave me a bagged breakfast for the next morning. I thought this was fantastic. Not only did I not have to be at the breakfast area at a certain time, I had prepackaged food, apples, and water that I snacked on all day. I didnt have to worry about Covid and who touched the food or how long it had been out. The next thing was the room. It was not your typical cookie cutter hotel room. Someone had actually took the time to think about the decor. It was ornamental with lots of nooks and crannies. I looked around the room and it was so clean. Not a spec of dust anywhere, on the window sills, in corners. No stains or cracked tiles. You can tell someone takes great pride in every aspect of the property. Everything worked..all the lights, tv, hairdryer, coffee machine , refrigerator but most of all the air conditioner. We had a heat wave and it was extremely hot. I slept well. It was quiet, the bed was nice. I have spent hundreds of dollars per night in fancy hotels in Atlanta and lots of other cities and always felt disappointed. I am not disappointed with the Inn at Mulberry. When I go to Savannah, I will never stay anywhere else. These owners actually care and this is a fantastic place to stay

2022-02-14I would not recommend! The Heater hardly worked, and it was freezing. It took an hour to come on! The refrigerator never worked, and they replaced it twice! “Sierra” front desk was a joy! She was very welcoming and knowledgeable of the area!Unfortunately the sheets made me itch!! They only give bag breakfast one per room!! Find somewhere else this is most definitely a truck stop motel!

2022-04-14The hotel should provide breakfast as it advertised instead of a to-go bag.The hotel should replace blanket and sheet after the previous occupancy left. Instead there were hair and debris in bed.The staff should remove the hair from the room instead of dropping it on the floorThe towels need to be thrown away and replaced because they have permanent stain. The room has a strong air clean smell. The floor both inside and outside the room are dirty.

2022-05-01Worst experience ever!!!! I was locked out my room half naked from 2:30am until 8am. I was told no one would be here after 12am on the Receipt that morning , so I asked if there is an emergency then what am I supposed to do? The desk clerk response there’s usually a number on the door for emergency calls, but it’s not up sorry😡. I was really going to give them a good review until this happened. I have never been treated like this at any hotel/motel in my life, didn’t even offer Compensation for my troubles. never again will I stay here.

2022-06-04One word: COCKROACHES. I will not tolerate roaches running across the floor and scurrying under the bed base. Manager did not offer even a partial refund. The room itself was better than most of the budget motels, which is why I gave it two stars instead of one. I won’t be back.
