Ivy Nails in other cities:
This salon is taking Covid 19 very serious and I love it. I love the end results I recieved from ha ing a mani and pedi. This quaint salon is located in the Vinnings its clean, the equipment and the furniture is constantly be sterilized. I will visit this salon every time.
I have been coming here since I was 15 years old, for a total of 12 years. It is women owned and operated. Staff is friendly and on time with appointments. Great polish selections and applications. My favorite nail techs are Phat for Gel and Rose for SNS. I also love getting my nails done and walking down ivy walk to grab dinner and drinks.
I love Ivy Nails. They always take walk-ins and their attention to detail is the best of any salon Ive been to. Their prices are reasonable and the gentleman who does acrylics is incredible. Ive been going to Ivy Nails for two years and counting. I dont trust anyone else to do my nails!
This was by far my worst experience at a nail salon. Not only did my friend and I have to wait for a long time to be serviced, but we were also serviced terribly. My lady ripped the SNS that was on my nails off without soaking them. She then was incredibly rough with the nail drill. Then she dipped the same brush she used on nails into the SNS powder on multiple occasions without cleaning it...so unsanitary. And then, filed my nails at a slant. I’m incredibly disappointed to say the least. I will not be coming back. I may be 17, but teenagers should be given the same service.
Im not sure if I just went on an unfortunately busy day...and I know people are super understaffed at the moment but its not an excuse for businesses to perform subpar. I was getting an SNS manicure and my manicurist got up AT LEAST 6 times from my service to get up and tend to the front desk, other guests, and who knows what else. This left my manicure very inconsistent nail to nail and looked rushed and sloppy. If you dont have room, then just dont take the customers. Not only is it unprofessional, but its unsanitary too? You wash your hands before you perform the service but if you get up and touch money, credit cards, computers, etc.. then come back to do my nails..thats gross. I wont ever come back here.
Really dry attitude, the polish on my nails and feet look HORRIBLE. The lady doing my manicure was a little upset because I asked if they have a new filer because you can’t be 1/2 safe - sterilize other tools but using the same filer on every one. And they actually did have the new smaller filers . Overall the attitude of the lady doing my mani was not friendly at all. They asked me to pay in the middle of my service so I tipped $10 and her whole demeanor changed. My thing is … if you don’t like US, don’t like our money.
Ann is great! I recently got a fill in and a pedi. Ann gave me me a great reshape (square to stiletto). I had my toes done also and both sets have latest over 3 weeks. Not to mention she gave me the last appointment of the night, they didn’t mind stay later to give me service. Beautiful people, beautiful place.
The best nail salon in Cobb county. Ann and Chow are amazing and who wouldnt revisit a place where they recognize you by name. They are so kind and the customer service is beyond excellent, I always get quality service here and I am a customer that comes every two weeks (I play sports and weight lift) to get the work. My daughter is now a customer and she raves about the pedicure, unfortunately she wants to get one every week (not going to happen, shes a diva, lol). They also take serious safety precautions when dealing with covid-19. If upscale is what you seek and quality service, go here -you wont be disappointed.
Ivy nails is hands down the best nail salon I’ve ever used. Hannah is the greatest nail tech. She is a perfectionist and truly cares about how you’re nails look after she’s done. Hoa does my pedicures and it feels like I’m at a premium massage salon.I will forget be a customer!!!!
I have been going to Ivy Nails for 6 months now. I am a massage therapist and I moved to Atlanta 3 years ago. I was so happy to finally find a nail salon worth my time and money. Phat and John were my favorite nail techs. Today I brought my 5 year old daughter in to get her nails and toes painted. They put her in a pedicure chair and told me I could sit in one next to her while she completed her service. Once she was done there was no seats at the drying station so they said we could stay in the chairs while she dried. Around 10 minutes later the owner came over and said there was a space available for my daughter to dry and asked if I would like to move with her. I said, “No, I will sit here while she dries.” The owner proceeded to come back over and said, “The pedicure chairs were only for customers receiving service.” I told her I was offered to sit there when my daughter was sat to receive her service.” She said, “I understand but you aren’t receiving service so you have to get up.” I said, “Ma’am, I am a regular customer here, I just got a pedicure and fill in here earlier today and you all aren’t busy. If you needed the chair for another customer, then I completely understand, but there are seven (7) other chairs available outside of the one I am sitting in, so why are you trying to make me get up?” The only response she could give is, “The chair is for paying customers.” I responded, “I am a paying customer, as well as a great tipping customer.” She told me it didn’t matter to her, and that me and my daughter didn’t have to come back to her salon. I told her, “No worries, we won’t be spending any more of our money here.” I really couldn’t believe I was forced to get up for... Nothing. There was no wait, no one needed my chair, and not only had a spent money there for a pedicure and fill earlier that day, but I was also I currently paying customer. I am a business owner, and this is bad business at its finest. If you can’t cater to your customers (and in this case all I wanted was to keep my current seat) then I hope you have a Plan B because longevity isn’t it.
If I could give them a zero I would. I work in the same center as this place and I send lots of people to them, which at this point I regret. I had my gel manicure done for less than a week when the paint started chipping and my nails started breaking. I have never had such a terrible job. I did not have an opportunity to go back before today. So, while I was walking to the mail I walked down to tell them about it. I was very nice and they agreed that j could come back after work to have them redone. Once I got there they said they could fix the ones that were currently peeling but would charge me a discounted rate to redo the others. I said, uh, no that doesnt seem fair because Ive already paid the money and they didnt do a good job. The lady kept telling me what was wrong with my nails and would not just redo the manicure. So I told them thank you but Ill just go and not ever come back. Nor will I ever give them another referral from our office. I have always gotten better service at other nail salons nearby anyway.
I never get my nails done. Only whenever a friend really wants to go and no one else will tag along. But I had a really nice experience here. The staff was attentive, kind, funny, and very quick. I was in and out in an hour. Manicure and pedicure.I will definitely be going back whenever my friends want to get their nails done.
The owner has really bad customer relations skills!!! I came in and got my nails polished at 7p.m. set and let them dry good but by the time I went home the polish was smeard!!! I came back the next morning and the same lady repolished my nails. She made sure I was dry before I left and 30 minutes later the was messed up again. The owner tells me I would have to pay for a polish change if I came back.
I went here for the first time WITH an appointment-- I was kept waiting outside for 15 minutes and then was brought inside and waited for another 15 minutes. I finally left and went somewhere else when I realized while the person I had an appointment with looked to be just starting someone elses nails. I know things are challenging with COVID but I was given no indication of when someone would actually be with me and defeated the purpose of an appointment.
I have been coming to Ivy for a few years now and 2 weeks ago I came and got a gel manicure. Within 4 days my polish was chipping and lifting. I am only off work twice a month so I came back today and let them know that my nails were done improperly last time. Jenny did the manicure last time and told me I was there 3 weeks ago (which I wasn’t) and it’s been a long time and that I have to come back within 5 days for them to fix my nails. I never asked for anything free(which is what they assumed) I just wanted to let it be known that they messed up my nails last time. She is basically calling me a liar and I am now embarrassed. There was no one there that could explain what I was trying to say, I never got an apology for the previous job, and all I wanted was a better manicure than the one I previously received.
By far the best nail salon in Smyrna. The salon is very modern and extremely clean. His entire staff is magnificent. I have had the fortune of doing my nails with almost all of his staff and I cant say nothing but great things of each of them. The girls as Ivy Nails are fabulous. If you are picky about your mani and pedi this is the place to go!
Ive been here a couple times, the past 2 being less than stellar. I would think with the location, these people would be some of the best. Unfortunately, this past Saturday I got my cuticles cut down so bad, I bled. I asked for a certain color 3 times, they assumed twice they got it right that the time they started painting I was over it and stuck with the last color they brought. I told the man 2 times I wanted my nails and toes to match, that also did not happen (again, over it and not enough time to change colors again). It felt very rushed although they had plenty of staff and no one waiting. And just 3 days later Im seeing signs of nail breakage and a terrible cuticle clean up. So disappointed!!
Beware of cheap polish. I’m sure they are cutting corners and adding acetone the stretch the life of their polish. My friend and I went to Ivy Nails for a mani/pedi. We got gel nails on our hands and a matching color on our toes. We both decided to get the same bright green color. We go our separate ways and then within 2 days our gel polish began to fade. It looks splotchy and “cloudy”. Within 5 days they’re so pale, no longer green. Within a week they’re almost white but still splotchy with bits of green trying to hold on. I went back to Ivy Nails and asked for a reason why the color was fading and they didn’t offer any help. My friend who is more active than me also has her gel nails chip and peel within 4-5 days which is unheard of.
My sns nails were ok. I felt he was a little rushed. I wanted to have a polish change on my toes. I was sat in the pedicure chair. A lady came over to start a pedicure and I told her I was just getting a polish change. She said oh ok...said something in her language and then left to go finish someone else who looked like they were getting a full pedicure. Then came back to me after she was done (about 15 minutes later) when she seen me getting up to leave. I wont be goi g back.
Friendly, experienced workers.. clean environment.. reasonably priced.. I get sns and my polish has always cracked at other salons because they dont use a thick enough layer of powder.. hasnt been an issue here and they even ask if I want the layers thick or thin. 👍🏿👍🏿
3rd time in a row of a horrible experience. I keep giving them chances but this is it. They used to be wonderful! I just got a mani/pedi and my toe nails were cut crooked, they look like they were painted at home with smear marks everywhere and they used a cheese grater all over the bottoms of my feet and cut corners of my toe nails even though I repeatedly asked them not to. My hands literally have nail polish drops on them still and they didn’t paint the sides of my fingernails or file round like I asked. They are square as can be! Colossal waste of $65
Great staff and clean environment but do not get SnS dip powder. They recently started doing it and I dont know if its inexperience or product used but my nails are cracking. This is the 3rd time within 2 weeks, I refuse to allow them to radio them. Holly and staff should be restrained on this method.
I do not recommend this place. I came here because my normal nail tech was out of town and I had an event to go to, but they did a mediocre job. If you like your nails to be done a certain way I don’t recommend it. They rushed me and my nails and toes looked terrible. The prices are reasonable. But I will never come back!
VERY POOR SERVICE TO BLACK CLIENTELE & DOES NOT SANITIZE THEIR TOOLS. Tried for 10 years to patronize this place, thinking and wanting them to change. I have sat and watched, witnessed, as well as experienced poor service of Black clientele in this place. Also, I think generally they are nasty-acting and nasty overall. Ive even spoken to the owner/manager. Most recently getting very poor service from the actual owner/manager solidified my feeling about his place. BLACK FOLKS TAKE YOUR BUSINESS AND HARD-EARNED $$ SOMEPLACE WORTHY. This place is not!!!
This place has a good atmosphere and is packed almost everyday of the week. It has the upscale feel but is relaxed. The staff is attentive and provides you with all of your needs. I went for a gel mani/pedi and also an eyebrow job. My first time getting my brows done and the lady was amazing. She made it so quick to where you almost done feel a thing. I would suggest going. However, parking can become a hassle and the prices are slightly steep.

2022-07-15You have to know who to go to for what at Ivy Nails. Because if you get stuck with the wrong person for the wrong service you’ll wonder why you ever patronized this nail salon. That’s what happened to me today. The girl doing my pedicure was shaking so much that it made me concerned for her well-being. She shouldn’t be doing anyones nails. I have had better experiences here and today I was looking for a nice relaxing pedicure on this beautiful Friday that I have off from work. I didn’t get that. See photos for finished product.

2021-10-22I will say that service here is pretty quick. It might be a little too quick for the prices they charge for mani pedis. They have a great color selection and plenty of staff available to assist. I think maybe 10 additional minutes per client would make a world of difference as it relates to attending to details... from nail shaping to even coats of polish. Not terrible, but not great either. I will likely find another location for these services. Again... not terrible but not great. If you find this review helpful, please press like below.

2022-06-24I got my nails done here for my wedding a week ago. I have loved this place for years and this is my first time in since COVID. My nails looked beautiful the day of, but have not held up well at all. They were very accommodating of our wedding party, but I was not impressed with the service.

2022-02-27Racist set of people, they serve the white people full services and have the black people waiting. Two white women came in after me and was walking out before me. I just couldn’t believe this stuff was still going on in Atlanta. We came at 3:30pm and still waiting around. I have never been treated this way. These people are so horrible as a nation. People believe it now Korean, Japanese and Chinese people are racist. They do not like black people they just tolerate us because we are paying them. It stops today I’m done with these people.

2022-02-19Worst place in Smyrna. I got a gel manicure that started peeling 2 days later. When I called they told me to come and get my nails fixed. Instead of just fixing what was obviously a flawed job, They fixed the 2 that had started chipping and put a polish color on that didn’t match. When I left the rest of the nails started chipping. They got annoyed when I came back and ignored me.

2022-01-08Got SNS and had to tell the nail tech twice to make mine thin bc they were mad thick. When I voiced preference I could tell he felt some type of way about having to file it down. He didn’t clean my finger tips all the way and I was left with some dried polish on my fingers and noticed while I was checking out. I mentioned it to the cashier and she cleaned half of my fingers. The picture attached is after they attempted to “clean” my finger tips. As you can see I still have some stuck on particles. Wouldn’t recommend. Didn’t leave a tip. The service is okay.

2022-05-04Stopped in with my daughter for SNS manicures and pedicures. This shop focuses on speed over quality and craftsmanship. Will not patronize this business again. Also, the technician I used did not follow direction. His work was sub par and the woman who did my pedicure was rough and the finished work was sloppy.

2022-05-02While the service is quick - the quality is not good. When I selected a color the nail tech put the wrong color. When I asked for her to correct to right color she was just going to put it on top instead of correcting it completely. The nail shape is uneven and not done with the right level of detail.

2022-03-28My first experience was horrible. Their customer service is horrible. They’re very rude! And very Racist! They’re always on TV complaining about other people being racist against them but they are the ones that are racist. I walk in the salon and I was treated as if I didn’t belong there. They kept speaking in their language laughing and saying yellow nails. That’s the actual spring color that I chose. I probably make more money than their salon does, to be treated rudely was not good for business. I refer lot’s to clients, I will definitely tell them to avoid this place. Don’t act high and mighty with garbage bags tied on your pedicure chairs. The door kept wide open to save on electricity. I wouldn’t recommend a cat to get their nails polished there. Horrible!!

2022-04-28Most of the people working there have been good, but a Lady I had today was extremely rude. She never asked me anything and rolled her eyes at me 3 times. It was as if I was bothering her by being there (spending $100 on my mani/pedi) Not sure Ill be back.
