Good sized buffet with a fair amount of seating. Very large selection of rolls. Sushi is tuna, white tuna, salmon, snapper and shrimp. There is also a medium sizes island of Chinese food and a hibachi station. The sushi is excellent quality considering the price of the buffet. The Chinese food is on par with most Chinese buffets. I have not done the hibachi. One of my favorite things here is the seaweed salad that is also all you can eat. Definitely one of the best deals.
Love the wealth of sushi choices! Can also request made to order sushi rolls. Cook to order hibachi as well as a buffet for the non-sushi people in the family. Enjoyed the calamari salad and seaweed salads too. Fruit available as well as ice cream, cake, and tiramisu for dessert. Excellent value for cost!
This has become our new favorite place to eat Japanese. The staff is absolutely on top of things, very attentive to refills, napkins, etc. The food was on point: hot and fresh!!! I cant tell you how good it is, this is MUST TRY for you and the family. I would give them 10 Stars, however Google only allows 5!!
This place is my favorite for sushi, because you have so many options. Some of my favs are the white tuna, squid salad, super volcano roll, spicy tuna roll, and New York roll. There are plenty of options for those who dont like raw fish as well, from veggie only sushi options, to a bar with some standard Asian fare, to a well stocked hibachi. The price is very reasonable for what you get. All around, its a great option with many choices!
I try to visit this place anytime I am in town. They have a little bit of everything. Raw food that they will hibachi style cook for you on the grill. There is all you can eat fresh sushi. And then there is the hot bar which has a little bit of everything. This place never disappoints! Will definitely be back
Absolutely amazing! This is a great deal based on all the different sushi and sashimi offered. There is a small hot food bar and a hibachi grill. The hibachi was superb for what it was. The hot food was good but wish there was more choices. All and all it was an amazing place to go and grab dinner.
If you are the person who paid for our meal, thank you sincerely and God Bless You! - from the military family with 3 little kids and one due in a month. 🤰Even before we knew our food was paid for by a generous stranger, my husband and I both agreed that the food was delicious and they had a nice selection.
I have been ranting and raving about this hidden gem since we visited last weekend! There was no wait even though the restaurant was packed. They had a huge variety of sushi, and I didnt taste a single piece that wasnt amazing. They also have other Chinese/Japanese food buffet style. The hibachi bar had everything you could think of and the cook did an excellent job on it. We have already started planning our next trip here. 10/10 would recommend this place to anyone and cant wait to go back!
I decided to try the Izumi buffet today. It was pretty good.I started off with some sushi and things off the cold bar. The sushi was only so so. Tasted a little bit old. I did like the octopus, but it was a little on the chewy side. More so than it should be. The peel and then eat shrimp were good and cocktail sauce was good. However the shrimp had not been deveined, and you know what that meansI also tried some of the fried shrimp, and some noodles. I would have had more, but I was full. One issue where the entree dishes. They had about half a dozen entrees that stayed empty. The ones that were there look good. I just wonder what was missing. And why it was never filled up.I did not try the hibachi section, but it looked great. The cook knew what he was doing, and all the ingredients looked very fresh. In my humble opinion, the straw is a little bit too short for the glass of iced tea.The bathroom is very clean, and everything seemed to be working.
It was ok to me. I went there for lunch. The person that I went with swore by it so I went. It may have been better if they had more of a selection. The placeholders were there but all of the food was missing. The sushi station in the middle was about 40% full. Some of the hot items on the side were empty as well. It may be that we caught them at a bar time. That is why I am not giving them less than three stars.
Great experience, if a little crowded. The Sunday lunch crowd isnt something to mess around with, but they kept up with it and the wait was short. Make sure you remember that the parking lot is a one-way loop, and you gotta drive past the exit to get to the entrance. Its not indicated very well, and its really cramped to get by somebody going the wrong way
The food was mediocre.. it wasn’t the cleanest place.. the server was nice. My husband is a vegetarian and there wasn’t many options for him to choose from.. he eventually went with some veggies he saw on the hibachi counter but found raw meat on the veggies.. definitely overpriced for what it was..
Not sure if the owners name is A-ARON, but he done messed up. All you can eat buffet AND it has mackerel and eel??? Sorry if you went out of business today because of me. If not, Ill definitely be coming back again. Food was great, service was great, decor was great!! Pretty rare to find a good sushi place, much less having it as a buffet. Props to this place!!
The stars do not lie. Great food and the waitstaff is attentive to each detail throughout the meal. With buffets I am cautious, just because you never know how long the food is left on the line....This one is different. Everything was hot and fresh and we visited at 8:30 in the evening.I highly recommend Izumi for dinner, I would come back for lunch anytime.
Me and my friends love going here whenever we can. Its a great place, very cheap when you look at what they serve compared to other places, worth every bit, very clean, Ive never had any problems there in any way. Service is amazing and the sushi chefs constantly make sushi so all can have as much as they want, definitely should he k it out if your given the opportunity.
I ordered food from them using Waitr and I was highly disappointed. Their portion was very small and the food was flavorless. I ordered the chicken and shrimp hibachi. It looked like half spoon of chicken, few pieces of shrimp and like one spoonful of rice. It was flavorless and the chicken and shrimp was hard. I also ordered spring eggrolls and it was mostly wrap and barely any filling. Out of my entire order, the edamame beans were good and the soup. I would not recommend ordering from them. Just go to the restaurant.
For around 15 dollars per person this is a lunch thats hard to beat. With a vaste buffet with sushi ranging from roll to nigiri and even sashimi, at dinner, this location offers an amazing experience at a fraction of the cost of their competitions. With extra dishes as well from hibachi seaweed salad, muscles and an array of cooked Japanese quisene youll be sure to find what you desire and in ample amounts.
Use to be our favorite place for sushi.. But weve visited twice within the last 6 weeks and the result is the same. Disappointment! One time was for dinner the other time for lunch and again the result was the same. The selection of sushis and maki has really been reduced, during our last visit the hot bar wasnt changed out once (we were there for almost 50 minutes). We travel from the downtown area, wont be visiting anytime soon. GET IT TOGETHER IZUMI!
Izumi has been here for a while, although they used to be a general Chinese buffet before this. The food quality is sometimes hit or miss, but today it was excellent. They always have an expansive selection of sushi rolls and traditional style sushi in addition to a selection of traditional style Japanese snack foods (such as tempura, dumplings and yakitori). They have hibachi available, but its probably the only bad thing about this place because the hibachi is mostly bland and uninspired with not much flavor. Dont come here for the hibachi, come here instead for the assortment of sea food, sushi and other high quality foods. Its a buffet style, and dinner is over 16 dollars a plate so be sure to bring an empty stomach. Would recommend and I come here semi regularly.
I’m not sure what the hype is about other than a smorgasbord of low quality food. I felt terrible leaving an entire plate of hibachi I couldn’t eat meat was gray and chicken was dried up and white after cooking with zero flavor or taste. Sushi was so-so. Nice environment other than a couple of folks sitting around in pajamas. If you don’t get out much this would probably be a good place for you. If you have high have high expectations after reading all these reviews, don’t be fooled.
Sushi bar was awesome the variety of Japanese Korean and Chinese food was very good plus they had hibachi highly recommended. Plus dessert bar excellent variety. Two people using all the above + Beverages, $26.00. if you leave there hungry its your fault nobody elses excellent food excellent service excellent variety.
This was the first time coming here and a roach crawl from under the table on top of the table and was totally discussed and manager didnt do nothing about it I will never come here again and this is not the first time look at the reviews on here another roach 22 hours prior to me coming here
A nice buffet place that you can just go to for a nice date or a family dinner. Sushi selection is pretty good and the other foods you can choose are rather enjoyable! My favorite thing to get though is from the grill; you can make a plate from certain items and have someone cook it for you! Staff are friendly and food is good! No complaints!
Absolutely amazing as ALWAYS! Came in with a friend today who had never been before, and she was properly impressed. We discussed how nice it was to enjoy a quiet meal, the sound of the other guests and the music were dampened to us by the beautiful and thoughtful design of the building, which is important for people who may have sensory issues. The food selection and execution were both absolutely incredible as well. Super delicious and fresh, not at all stale or old as you sometimes get with buffets. If you come here though, make sure you bring your stretch pants. You are gonna wanna try everything
The sushi here was all so fresh! Must sushi buffets down south are not fresh or taste funny. It is all made fresh in front of you. The hot items were also good but I cannot overstate how good the sushi is!! The next time we visit fort Gordon we will absolutely be coming back here and eating out fill.
I will say their food is always good! Absolutely! But I’m not rating them on their food I’m rating their service. They take you plate if they don’t see you eating constantly off of it and I wasn’t done with my food. This is such a waste and the entire time we are stared at. I understand having to clear the table for customers. But please ask before just taking everything in front of me it’s very rude and irritating. Even when you walk away from the table to go get something different to try they come and take the plate. PLEASE ask because this is extremely annoying.
Nice place to test and taste varieties of Japanese Sushi! Also, warm foods and make your own grill feature available.Corona measures such as your own tongs are provided for picking the Sushi !Staff seemed little stressed and looked like they could have been little more friendly. Its at the heart of the downtown Evans and has plenty of its own parking placed. Easy approach roads.
The food was delicious. You can do sushi buffet or hot food buffet or hibachi buffet or any combination. All you can eat. The green tea was good too. My only gripes are that 1) the bathrooms were really warm and 2) unless I already knew what was in each roll, I was out of luck. It would be nice if they had an ingredient list next to each roll, so you didnt have to guess about if you wanted it (or might be allergic to it, or if it was spicy).
☆☆☆☆☆ stars, Love this place. we drive an hour to eat here with our 2 year old son.(2 hours in a car..with a 2 year old) We even bring our own utensils for the all you can eat crab. He learned how to use chop sticks here. Never disappointed except at the bathroom scale the next morning. Bathroom has always been clean.
The lunch deal is fantastic. Its $11.95 for all the sushi and hibachi grill food you can eat. The sushi is great with lots of variety. There are about 20 items on the hibachi grill. On top this is there are several fried items and desserts. The staff is pleasant & helpful.
Bad service from the person seating us, we were asked no less than 5 times how many people were in our group and it was never written down ANY of the 5 times. People were seated out of order causing tension and when we were seated we were sat at a table that only sits 4 people while having stated no less than 5 times we have 5 in our party. Then a chair was removed from the neighboring table to give us the right number of chairs and then the people seated at that table had too few chairs causing an issue there where my wife was confronted by that table because they were short a chair. Pure relaxing chaos. If you like the WWE and good food I recommend it.
Really good service , we came in late but they still serve us and ur server i wish I had ask his name he was more than generous to us he let us buy a big bag of there green tee that its so good . My wife was so happy because she loves there green tee thats all she drinks when we go here ... Thank you guys for the good service and for letting us state until late ... 😊🙏🙏🙏
If youre a lover of all things sushi and want a huge variety for reasonable price, this is your place. I myself do not like anything wrapped in seaweed, so I stuck primarily with the remainder of the buffet. My husband on the other hand, got his moneys worth of all things wrapped in the weed of the sea!
I looked forward to going here for days after reading all the reviews, but I was extremely disappointed with the food. However, I did enjoy the salmon Nigiri and the dumplings. I paid almost $50 for my husband and I to spend 15 minutes here and leave. Just a warning I would not go to the restaurant knowing what I know now.
Sushi rice was a little dry, food was a little bland. Good service. Was there for daughters graduation lunch. Food used to be better.Update: 4 years later for sons graduation. Not much has changed. Service was fast. Seem to want you to get in then get out. Bill came fast. Started clearing table before we were finished eating.
One of the top places to eat in the area, great value, selection, and most important of all quality. Combines all you can eat sushi with more conventional Asian items and a full service hibachi. I make time to visit every single time Im in town, Ive yet to be disappointed.
We arrived exactly at 5pm on Friday. They open at 5pm for dinner. They have a huge selection of sushi and sashimi on the buffet. Theres also a noodle and veggie bar for the grill. Just throw a plate of food together and the cooks in the back will stir fry your creation for you. The staff is friendly and welcoming. My biggest complaint is the sushi that has any type of tempura on it. When eating this sushi, it is easy to tell that it is not fresh, because the tempura portions are gritty and chewy at the same time (from being hot/cold/hot/cold I suppose?). The rest of the food tasted great, but I wouldnt recommend eating anything that is fried/tempura coated. Some of the salmon on the sushi was also somewhat darker than it shouldve been, but thats easy to spot and avoid.Overall, the huge selection of sushi, for the price, makes it a decent place to go for all-you-can-eat sushi, snow crab legs, sashimi, crawfish, shrimp, salad (very basic), and stir fry. There is even a dessert area with ice cream, cups of cheesecake, sugar cookies (very hard), squares of chocolate cake, fruit, and puddings. Its not a fancy or high end place, so dont plan your honeymoon here. But, its decent enough for a dinner with friends or family.
Not bad for a Japanese Buffet. Their sushi bar is amazing! Has over 10+ different types of sushi that are made if front of you when it runs out. Has also decent buffet with some traditional Japanese dishes like chicken katsu. They also have a yakisoba grill that is made to order where you add all your ingredients and they prepare it for you. They also have up to 4+ different selections in soups.
Not worth the time or money. Food was extremely warm for sushi and the employees were very rush and tried to rush us out after paying out bill. In less than 5 minutes after my party paid the had 3 different employees circles our table and asked if we needed anything else as if we were holding them up on this very slow Wednesday night. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Go elsewhere for better service and food preferable downtown Augusta / broad street.
Real Japanese style sushi in a very spacious environment even for covid standards. No touching the same serving spoon as everyone else this place gives you your own at the start of service. The sushi is the star but they also offer other things such as build your own hibachi and a mini bar with chicken, soup, and wantons. Really fun neat dining experience if ever Im in Augusta again I will be returning!
The sushi was great! The rest of the food is good, but is much better if you wait for it to be cooked specifically for you on the hibachi grill. But thats kind of obvious with cooked for you vs buffet. I think its worth the price ($16ish) if you load up on sushi, but for just the food, youd have to eat a lot to make it worth it.
I rarely throw 5 star ratings, but this restaurant surely earned it the food was excellent, the service was tremendous as well! Its always hit or miss how a place is going to treat a family with a toddler in tow, and these lovely ladies blew us away! We will definitely be visiting again! So much thanks!
LOVE Izumi. Staff is always very nice and prompt with service. The sushi buffet is a fantastic idea. I can get all the different rolls of sushi I want and I can try new ones without having to worry if Im going to waste a lot of food. Since they continually serve, the food is always relatively fresh. I highly recommend Izumis.
First time here and I enjoyed it very much. If you are a sushi lover then come and try them. They have a nice selection of sushi the most Ive seen yet at a buffet style restaurant. I recommend. The staff is very nice and attentive and they wore masks. Will visit again.
SURPRISE!! One sushi roll was spiced BLISTERING hot! Lip & inside mouth/tongue had blisters. (NO LABELS!) Could not continue meal! Owner/manager not available; Attendants seemed impassive. Food bill was NOT adjusted even though my meal was interrupted/ended (NAUSEA!). VERY DISAPPOINTED! PARENTS BEWARE!!
When your hungry...come.and visit this place. Worth every dime of your money. Lots of food choices to chose from. A bit crowded on a Sunday noon after church but they manage it good. The servers are attentive to us making sure drinks are refilled. We have been coming to this place for years now. They also observed covid protocols. Price is so reasonable.
Usually I don’t give negative reviews; and usually this restaurant is very good; until this last month. On the evening of June 26th; nothing but horrific will describe your hostess’ attitude. A terror would be an understatement. This is our second encounter with the young lady. If simply presenting yourself to be seated causes a girl to become completely nasty, you should examine how awful the rest of the experience will be. Your staff in the afternoons are completely the opposite. Furthermore; half the buffet needed to be restored for over an hour and half. Many items never replaced. I understand that everyone is tired from COVID but get back on the ball. First order of business; fire the young lady hostess and hire a nice person like the young man in the afternoon. She simply doesn’t need to be employed. If she tosses another ticket at a patron I will personally lecture her in the middle of your establishment. It wasn’t just us that received her wrath. Get on it. Now.
Sushi buffet sounded questionable to me, they proved me wrong! Hard at work to consistantly produce fresh sushi, it was delicious! They had some interesting and yummy sushi i had never seen as well as some classics. The inside is pretty amd interesting, the servers are very nice amd they had pretty sweet tea too!
This is THE best all you can eat sushi buffet in town. If you are local and have never tried their heavenly sauted green beans or shrimp tempera, shame on you! They have all the sashimi you could all for, but if you are like me, I keep it simple. My favorites are cucumber avocado rolls, egg drop soup (best anywhere in Agusta, take my word for it), and their green beans. If I have room, I like their Mandarin oranges with a little bit of their ice cream or their chocolate pudding
I went in for lunch buffet today and all I can say is WOW! This place was clean before but now since COVID-19 its sparkling! They still have the buffet. The empty plates are set on your table with a set of tongs. You go up and use your tongs to get your items off the buffet. All staff wore masks as did customers going to the buffet. Social distancing was in place. 100% felt safe to eat here. The food as always was fresh and delicious.
There is no place in town that comes close to the quality, variety, and price for sushi buffet! I love the tempura fried rolls... On the buffet... No one else does this! They have specially rolles unlimited 😮, again... No one does this! All quality, clean place and great service.... Every other sushi place in town should give up and admit defeat.Hibachi is great and everything else... But Im a sushi guy...
I have a new favorite place to eat. The place is very clean and well lit. Employees are polite and check on you consistently. The selections are large and preparation is delicious. If my drink is full when I prepare to leave they always offer if I want to take my drink to go. It is roomy and a classy atmosphere, there is a large bar (for drinkers) that people can sit at if they so chose. Great food, clean, able to enjoy your own conversation and the pricing is just right, give Izumi Japanese Restaurant a try, I only wished I had found them sooner.
The selection of sushi was amazing! Other selections available for the folks who dont care for sushi as well. Clean place, great service, full of happy eaters! The sake might have had something to do with this review but we had a great time there. We will be back (Auntie goes there at least once a week!)
I enjoyed the food here however sometimes things are a bit over cooked and the options are a little light. I understand this is a buffet and they cater mostly sushi and hibachi, but at there are times you dont quite want that. What I mean is that there are other options that can be placed on the buffet and maintain an Asian buffet style place. None the less my family loves it and I enjoy it as well.
Im usually very skeptical about sushi buffets since most are not good. But this place had surprisingly very good sushi and it was fresh. Theres a huge variety for a good price. You can also have stir fry made to order. Nice quick bite with a pretty nice atmosphere. Better than most buffets for sure.
This is truly the hidden gem of buffets in Augusta! The food is FRESH and HIGH QUALITY, and TASTY! Love their sushi selection and quality! Service was TOP NOTCH! There is one sure fire way to know if an Asian buffet is TRULY a QUALITY ASIAN EXPERIENCE and that is this...look at the clientele! 80% of their patrons were Asian. That says something!Awesome, unsung place!
We love going to Izumi for sushi and the variety of their buffet. Unfortunately, the sushi selection this time around was lacking. The restaurant wasnt all that full, but many of the rolls on the buffet were out for most of our visit. I tried the hibachi today too and the flavor was pretty bland. If youre looking for a place where you can get decent sushi and buffet style Asian cuisine, try it out, but dont expect the highest quality food when eating here.
Its all-you-can-eat sushi. That normally implies that the quality is low but that isnt the case at Izumi. The sushi is great and always fresh. There is a buffet of other Asian dishes as well as a hibachi grill where you can pick what you want in your meal. The sushi is easily the best part. Its $11 at lunch and $16 for dinner. Either way is a solid value.
Bit expensive but worth it. Sushi selection is diverse and, while not ultra-fancy, is still delicious. Selection of non-sushi foods is slightly limited, but their grill station makes up for it. Kid-friendly but keep an eye on them near the grill station - raw foods are definitely within reach of a 3+ year old.
Always a delight to eat at Izumi. The food and service are consistently good. My 7 year old and 4 year old love it. Plenty of variety to choose from and all excellent quality. Especially for a buffet sushi restaurant. Dont go with your gut and avoid this place because it is a buffet. The food is great and so is the service.
My boyfriend and I went here for lunch and it was spectacular! We circled the sushi bar a couple times to try as many kinds as we could. Huge layout with I would guess over two dozen kinds of sushi rolls and nigri. I would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys sushi, as well as an American spin on different rolls as well. The service was great too, waiter kept our drinks refilled.
Decent selection at the hot bar and a very wide selection of sushi. The staff aims to please and your drink will never empty and plates will never stack. The food was good, but very pricey, especially during dinner. I would recommend enjoying their lunch buffet for a more reasonably priced meal.
This place well, let me tell you if youre looking for authentic japanese slop this place should be at the top of your list.my wife an I ate there 01/10/21 arrived at 7:00pm,the food on the buffet line looked as if it arrived at 4:00pm it was dried out not appealing at all.So we chose the habachi grill instead.the service is good, very clean restrooms.but the buffet line the food was never changed during the hour we were there.so you how was this dinner experience? HATED IT !!!
Honestly, its not that great for what you pay.The only thing it has going for it is the all you can eat factor. Id rather take my money to Tako Sushi around the corner on Bellaire/383 and still be filled with much better food/sushi/other.The service is great, the variety is also great, but the quality/taste just arent there for the price.
Phenomenal!! Superb! What other words can I use to describe the quality of the cuisine here? I wish I could rate you guys with more than 5 stars. Let me just put this in perspective for you guys: my other half and I drive AN HOUR with our 2 year old to eat at this place. Each of us destroy our plates and go back for seconds and thirds! We have never, ever been disappointed. With such an extensive selection how could you be? The staff is friendly and always on their feet. The atmosphere is always warm and inviting. To top it off, there is an amazing park practically down the street! All of this mentioned above is enough to make me want to leave SC and migrate to GA! 😂😂
Been here twice, first time for lunch pre-Covid ...service and food were excellent. Recently November 12th, 2020... had dinner here. What a disappointment! Service was horrible! Waiter was not attentive..had to track him down to ask for things like sauces and clean plates... The sushi was good, the cooked food section was stocked but everything including the soup was cold, if you could catch the food right after it came out of the kitchen then it was warm at best. 5 stars for the first visit in March, 1 star for our visit in November.... Thus the 3 star overall rating.
One of the best buffets Ive had. Everything was fresh and looked very appetizing. There were lots of seating areas and the best day was kept clean. There was even a cook to order area that did custom orders. Definitely gets five stars and is on the top of my list of places to go for fresh sushi.
Sushi buffet with a small Mongolian stir fry grill. Not the best sushi Ive ever had, but then again Ive had allot of sushi in many different places across the country. Theres definitely nothing wrong with the sushi, in fact it is the best buffet sushi Ive had, and its never left me running for the restroom before the check has come. The staff is friendly, the service is fast. Me and the wife come here regularly and have never once had a bad experience.Great every day get your sushi fix kinda place.
My wife and I love Izumi! Lunch time is the best time to go! For all you can eat sushi you cannot beat the price! They even have hibachi! They have tons of different sushi rolls, they always have different sides to offer if you aren’t the biggest sushi fan. Noddles, Rice, shrimp, different styles of chicken. They have a dessert selection that will make even the pickiest toddlers happy! All around great place!
Ive been here dozens of times, and the food is consistently great quality. The service is fast and polite, and they just leave you alone to enjoy for as long as you would like. You can see the food being prepared right in front of you, and its always amazing to watch how fast they can work. The price for lunch is much cheaper with the same quality but they only serve crab legs and oysters at dinner. Ive brought dates, friends, family, and co workers and the atmosphere is great for all of them. There are options other than sushi like crayfish, mussels, and several Asian dishes, as well as dessert and soup, oh and a hibachi thing where you choose what you want in a noodle or rice stir fry and they cook it right in front of you fresh. They serve alcahol and bottled Japanese sodas, as well.
Excellent as usual. This is the only sushi place Ive ever been to where the sushi is so good it actually tastes better with no additions (like soy sauce, ginger, etc.) Very flavorful! As a side note, weve talked to some people who said they were sick after eating there, but in all the many times weve been there weve never had a problem. I think as with any busy buffet, you have to pay attention to good hygiene. Wash your hands before you eat, use utensils and dont eat with your fingers, and take advantage of the hand sanitizer they make available after using the serving utensils.
This place is really good if you want to eat a lot of sushi, but dont have a lot of money. The sushi is mediocre at best and unsettling at worst. Some of the rolls have pretty good flavor combos, but the ones with cream cheese are overwhelmingly filled with cream cheese. The sushi selection is great, but all of the sushi is room temperature or warmer. The warmth of the sushi is off putting and kind of makes you question if you will get sick later. THAT BEING SAID, the miso soup was good, the fried rice was good, the service was great.
This was a great spot! Stopped in for lunch and it was quite affordable without sacrificing quality. The staff were all extremely nice and polite. The sushi was fresh and I really liked the variety available, which I hadnt seen at a buffet before. They also have warm foods, to include a stirfry/mongolian grill line. The restaurant itself was also very pleasing. This is my new go to for sushi.
An enjoyable experience in sushi buffet--- which is not something that I can say very often! But this place has truly figured out how to present the favorite sushi and sashimi items in a manner that keeps them fresh and at perfect temps, and hot dishes are done so well that tempura is light and not greasy. Tiny desserts -- if you save room for them-- are a perfect way to end the meal, with just a bite or two of tempting sweetness to please the palate at the end of a lovely meal.
Excellent price for lunch buffet with wonderful quality options. Everything was fresh and the variety was amazing. Thoroughly impressed as similar quality Japanese at a non-buffet would easily cost 2-3 times as much for similar portions. Impressed that oysters were being served. Great value and quality for the price. Will undoubtedly eat here again!
Im wary of going to buffets. Especially sushi buffets however this one is clean and has a high quality of food. The lunch and dinner menus differ slightly. You can always get hibachi cooked the way you want, or choose from spring rolls and chicken skewers. They dont offer sashimi yet there is plenty of rolls to choose from. The eel roll goes fast. Service is as needed. Its party friendly. Overall, there is something for everyone. They serve alcohol as well.
One of the best places to get sushi in the area! The lunch buffet is great! We love the dinner buffet which has sashimi but does cost a bit more. They have pretty good sake and a great grill for custom hot plates. We bring groups here at lunch and they always support even last minute!
Its an all-you-can-eat, buffet style sushi and Mongolian grill restaurant. The nigiri and sashimi are good. Ive never walked away from it feeling sick. Most locals seem to love the variety of rolls. They are good, but I prefer a more classic sushi. At the price, you really cant do any better. The amount of things I get to try would cost well over $50, and they only charge you 16 or 17 dollars per person. I would gladly pay up to $25.Good selection of sake, if thats your thing. Grill ingredients always look very fresh. The crab legs taste just fine, though theres always a risk eating shellfish from a buffet.Good, clean restaurant, lots of seating, great for a date or a corporate outing.
Buffet was very good. Sushi was my main focus and there was plenty to choose from. They were making it right there so it wasnt sitting around from earlier in the day. The other (non-sushi) items were ok, but nothing special (tipical Asian buffet fare) but it wasnt what I wanted anyways. I didnt take advantage of the hibachi grill but the cook was very friendly and his customers seemed to be happy. I ate way too much but that was expected. I would happily return if I find myself in the area again. The price was reasonable for dinner (a little over $20 with a beer - before tip). Service was friendly and efficient.
The concept of having the option of sushi, mini Chinese buffet and hibachi to order us great! But this place is losing its spark. The sushi options are great but a couple of times the buffet food was not hot and sushi not fresh. The hibachi is usually great but if you like beef the meat can be a little tough. Servers are nice..At times theres quite a wait. You will spend about 20.00per person for dinner. Its ok
Great selection of sushi and sashimi prepared fresh! It does tend to get crowded on weekends at around dinner time, so show up a little early if you want to get first pick. Its a great value for the price and is one of the best sushi places I have eaten at both in and out of town.
Always clean, with friendly staff and excellent selection of freshly made sushi. During lunch and low occupancy times, their tempura items, spring rolls, and pot stickers are noticeably not fresh. Taste is fine, but food isnt piping hot. Still love to go here for lunch, and the dinner selection of added nigiri sushi is nice, but I wouldnt say is worth the additional price for dinner.
Izumi is a decent place. Ive seen a roach here or there a couple of times, but the staff FREAKS OUT if you tell them theres one scuttling around and hunts it down like its their personal mission. They also wipe down anything and everything in the area. Its a restaurant and youre delusional if you think roaches arent present somewhere. Given how clean this place is, its just being stuck behind a Hardees that never empties its garbage cans in my honest opinion. That isnt why theres three stars here. Its always at least 77 degrees in that place. Sushi restaurants should be on the cooler end of 70 or so, especially during summer operating hours. Ive seen sushi sit on their cooling platforms for up to an hour. In a 77 degree building. And the sushi chefs could be a bit faster. They like to stand around and talk, and while thats fine if the sushi is stocked, there are often times when it isnt. Even when the restaurant is half full. Ive seen half an hour refill times for shrimp before... when nothing was going on. There was plenty of rice (you could see it sitting there). They were just standing around talking about sports. Maybe nobody noticed? But this is a pretty common thing. Ive waited 20 minutes just for a roll to show up on the bar. Its a buffet. Id like the food to be available, not have to wait for it.
For anyone who lives sushi, wants to try sushi, or is fond of hibachi food, this is the place to eat on a regular. For about 20.00 pp, buffet and drink, it is superb. It is also family friendly. My five year -old requests it every time we ask him where he wants to eat dinner. Try it, you wont be disappointed!

2022-06-12Love the all you can eat sushi here. The sushi and Chinese food are fairly good quality, but some of the other food are not. So you need to pick and choose what you eat. Definitely do not recommend the oyster and snow crab legs. The reason I give them a 5 star is because of their price. Given the price, quality of the food and the amount of food you can get. It is a really good deal. Overall is a five star, but for the taste and quality of some of the food I would give it a 3 to 4 star. If I were the owner, I would remove the snow crab and oyster altogether if Im not going to serve the customer with good quality or if Im concerned about the cost. Just serve good quality of other food. People will come for those. Putting something on the menu to attract certain customers and not serve them good quality food is begging for bad reviews.

2022-05-03First for lunch and not quite as cold as I prefer my sushi but delicious nonetheless. The hot bar has one or two star dishes (chicken yakitori) and the dessert bar ( espresso cake). Great place for large party or celebration. Plenty of choices an light atmosphere that allows conversation. Lunch is affordable ($12.95) while dinner is more for sushi an seafood lovers. I will have to come back to try the fresh hibachi bar. Definitely worth trying. Id give a 5th star if the food was colder but still very good.

2022-02-25I generally dont like buffets but this is different. You can try so many different kinds of Sushi here...and no its not all Raw fish.Their hot Asian inspired foods dont sit all day getting mushy because this place is so popular that they keep everything replenished and fresh. They even have a Hibatchi Chef to prepare the items you select right in front of you. Ive been going here for years and never one had a bad experience. Everyone is friendly and the food is consistently good.

2022-05-21It’s like a sushi buffet with side options. I love it. Hot bar and all. So many varieties of sushi that you’re guaranteed to find your favorite kinds! The sushi bar is open to all, in other words you can see the chefs making the sushi from every angle and I love that so much! They are CONSTANTLY cleaning the surfaces after each roll to ensure there is no cross contamination. The folks who work the floor are constantly wiping the buffet “slide” and surfaces. This place is so clean it feels unreal!I have seen them literally scrub the blinds, window sill, seat, seat backs, table tops, sugar holder, sauce/salt and pepper shakers, sweep & everything you could think of after customers leave. They keep that place so clean that I believe they should be featured for it, truly, because no other restaurant I’ve ever been to puts in that much effort. The bathrooms were just as clean! Will always eat here when I’m in town.

2022-06-03I mean, it’s a Sushi buffet, what else can I say? Amazing selection of different types of sushi, even during the “busy” hours you can still find all types of sushi on the buffet line, and everything is clean and it’s at a good price.

2022-06-19This place is amazing. The sushi is great! The use of chopsticks adds to the authenticity of meal. The hibachi bar needs a better cook and more sauces should be available to the customers. In addition, the buffet is not children friendly. Buffet needs more items that kids will want to eat also. Great dining experience. I would highly recommend if youre a sushi and sashimi fan!

2021-09-30Very good, crab & shrimp a bit soggy today. But great place for sushi. Theres a Hibachi grill too if you want a customized meal cooked up in front of you. Theres also fruit, small cake squares, ice cream & cookies for dessert options.
