Save your money ! We checked in and got to our room and it was obvious that the bathroom wasn’t cleaned. After being at the beach all day i was looking forward to taking a shower when i realized we had one towel for 4 people when we went down to ask for more towels they said they would bring more up and it’s the next morning and we still don’t have towels ! The water pressure in the shower was just a trickle. We looked at reviews on booking.com and should have looked at other sites because they must pay for the good reviews that were posted !
Honestly this room is extremely disgusting. We are in town for vacation and looked at reasonable rates for nice places. The photos on the website are completely innacurate. This room is so filthy to the point that we won’t get in bed without washing or wiping our feet off on something because they are black from the dirt on the floor. Upon entering we noticed tons of black hairs throughout the room and bathroom. The fridge has obviously never been cleaned before. The pool is GREEN from filth. If we had the option to change hotels we would, but it is Fourth of July weekend and the rates are very high elsewhere. It also smells like marijuana everywhere around the hotel. If I could give this hotel a 0 star I would.
I am speechless at the customer service AND the room we were provided! First off, the front desk personnel [approx.7:30pm shift] she was unremarkable! I wish I had asked for her name! Never have I experienced such a down to earth and HELPFUL individual in the lodging industry! She explained the rooms were under renovation in updating the rooms. She made small talk with me and made me feel like I was coming back home from being off at college lol She has that “cool auntie” vibe! She personally walked with me to the room to make sure the key was working properly (from upgrading the key entry system) and make sure the TV was receiving signal because they had a few issues with the TVs. The tv picture was fuzzy so she said she wanted to make sure we got our moneys worth so she checked the room beside that current room and told us to stay in there instead because the tv was working. To not know someone she made it seem like we were old friends catching up for old times sake!! The bed? Oh my, the bed was so comfortable! Best bed I have laid in probably ever honestly. Price is reasonable! Overall, super satisfied!!
I am writing to file a complaint: my family and I had driven up all the way from Florida, we found the Jameson Inn in Georgia and decided to spend the night, however, what experienced was far from pleasant or worth our money; we checked in at about 12:30AM and when we had brought in all of our luggage and made ourselves comfortable, we get notified by the receptionist that she wanted us to switch to another room at about 1:30AM, so we switched rooms, carried our luggage again only to find that our new room had non electrical function .Room had none electricity at all .Hotel was overpriced a discount for the issues would have helped. We and a 10 year old boy end sleeping at 3 am thanks to the receptionist and kick out at 11 am great way to treat customers.
So much to say! First Ms. Roxie, the General Manager, is as cool as they come! She made me feel right at home! Every conversation I had with her left me laughing! The hotel was every bit as welcoming as one should expect, and they have a legit hot breakfast, which is rare nowadays! Id give Ms Roxie and this establishment 10 stars if i could!
We made our reservations online but when we arrived it took them 30 minutes to get us in our room. The people behind the counter took forever to get our reservation into their system and out of the online system. If I had to do it over I will call the hotel direct. There were probably 10 people waiting most of which had made their reservations online. The staff was friendly and the room was nice. They have a warm breakfast in the morning which is a nice change.
We stayed there July 30th, 2021. The floors in our room and bathroom were filthy and very slippery. No carpeting at all. Had to have the light in the shower repaired as soon as we got there. The breakfast was basically nothing. There were no eggs, no decaf coffee and the orange juice was sour. The receptionist said that the truck didnt cone in so thats why there were no eggs. However, there was sausage and bacon. No milk to have cereal either. Very disappointed after seeing the pictures of the place. Will not stay there again.
Its gone down hill over the last few years. Stayed Xmas Eve, lobby never opened Xmas morning (for at least coffee, as no coffee makers in rooms). Waited around until 7:30, no one opened lobby doors, wasnt able to do normal checkout or get receipt. Many other nearby lodging options make is our last stay at this Jameson.
DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!! DO NOT!!!They didnt let us check in at the time it says because they were preserving the clean rooms for certain ppl which is wrong. They pretended they didnt accept deals from HOTELS.COM and pretended they didnt have my confirmation for my booking all to stall me to give them 4 hours to get a room cleaned.THEN when we did get into the room after calling and talking to the MANAGER, our room didnt have rags or towels, no channel. The room is not worth 100 dollars per night. The quality of the rooms look like they should be 50 a night.DO NOT STAY HERE.
The hotel is disgusting, the rooms floors and facilities are dirty, they dont clean. The rooms smell like cigarettes and have cigarette burns on the tables. The popcorn ceilings are falling apart. The walls have holes. There is dust everywhere. It is a total disaster. The hotel should be closed by some government entity asap.
Was not happy with our first room, Thank God we had to be moved to another due to the keypad not working.Beds were okay 2nd room much cleaner then 1st roo..We had no garbage cans in room at all. Called desk for one on Friday when we got there on Sunday when we left still no garbage cans. LMAO. Although the staff was friendly. The Hotel was noisy very noisy all hours of the night. It wasnt bad, but wasnt great either. I dont think I would stay there again.
HORRIBLE. Would not recommend this hotel at all. Let me clarify first, the staff was very nice and did nothing wrong, however, it smelled of mold, very gloomy, the room was no better. The bed was broken, the lamp shade was hanging on by the broken bulbs electrical wiring, fire hazard. Smelled horrible in there, stains everywhere. The sheets were so stained, it creeped me out and dont get me started on the bathroom. The toilet seat was broken and messed up, the tub was so gross. We walked to the pool just to see, and we got locked in! Had to climb over the gate to put the code in to get my son out. Upon walking back multiple doors were kicked in as if were raided. We checked out immediately after we checked in and went to another hotel. Oh, and I wasnt fully refunded, cancelation fee was the cost of the room.
Horrible!!!! Absolutely disgusting. Food was crusted in the refrigerator, someones old toys behind the nightstand, bugs flying near the bathroom, toilet wont stop running, maintenance truck rumbling its engine outside my room at night. Complained and told I could leave or you stay you pay with no refund, discount, or anything to compensate. If my tired kids werent already asleep I would be gone.
For one it was missing a lot of features that was shown on the site. The fitness center had no water in the sink. The sink was not completed. It was lacking character in the rooms and on the outside. The pool was kinda cheap. The trash cans were broken. The rooms suppose to room 5 people but we had to request an extra bed. We had to request a phone . The front desk service was great. Very nice ladies but a few of their housekeepers were unprofessional talking about using illegal drugs such as dope. The breakfast was not a typical breakfast. There was no fruit or meat to go with the waffles just grains, but the lady that operates the breakfast was very sweet and professional. The price was okay but the hotel was unacceptable and we had people traveling with us. I really was expecting what the pictures on the site gives off but it was the complete opposite. Probably wouldnt recommend it unless you just dont have any other choices.
While the price was pretty nice for four days, the service left a lot to be desired. I requested house keeping services that I didnt get. I asked for more towels that I ended up having to wait until the next day to get!! No one was ever at the front desk to answer when I called down and to get to the front desk, I had to walk outside and down the sidewalk in the dark to get to the desk and received NO SERVICE!!!Not very happy witn Jameson Inn. I guess some places are worth the extra money!!😞
The staff and management here are always very professional and posses great southern hospitality. April goes above and beyond to work out any issues that arise quickly and and does so with a positive attitude. We spend a great deal of time at your hotel each month and choose it among others in the area because of its cleanliness, safety, affordability, and most importantly your outstanding customer service. The staff know us and call us by name and greet us with each visit. We couldnt ask for a better place to stay. Thank you all for a phenomenal job!
No hot water. Two pieces of furniture in room broken. Bed skirting torn and in floor. Lamp unplugged and tape wrapped around wiring. Key scanner to enter hallway where all rooms were was broken and anyone could walk in. Wheels under bed broken and my husband tried to lay on bed and it rolled from underneath him and he fell. When they tried to lock wheel they discovered two wheel locks were broken. Packed my kids up at 11pm and left. Would NEVER stay here. Maitnance man was drunk or high and while in room was using profanity in front of my children. This was the worst stay ever and we didnt even stay. Then when we turned our keys in and tried to cancel that night and the following night that was booked she wouldnt help me. NEVER stay here
The room was clean and staff was friendly. April is very kind and is always will to help. She is awesome! We have tried other hotels but they do not compare to the Jameson. We choose the Jameson for its exceptional customer service and affordability. Thank you all for helping make our stay a memorable one and going above and beyond to make guest feel welcomed.
Just left from a 3 day stay. The rooms weren’t clean. I had to switch to three different rooms on the first day because of the odor. It appears no one answers the phone at the desk past 8:00pm. The staff are like ghosts. I’ve only seen a total of two, and I had to go find them because they don’t answer the front desk phone. I’ve never stayed at a Jameson Inn that was this bad
Needs 0 stars. Room was not ready an hour and a half after check in time. Said cleaning crew walked out an hour before we got there, cleaning lady showed up to get room ready and was dismissed by lady at front desk. Didnt stay here canceled reservations and moved to a different hotel. Would not recommend!
Where do I begin... I dont have much positive to say about this place other than its convenient location. For the record I used to work for this company many years ago, but I just cant give a pass on the problems we had. Also note that we didnt report these issues while we were there, mostly because we were so busy. Most of these are basic issues that can be caught with regular room inspections so I feel that they can be found in more than just this one room. The room had trash from a former resident when we checked in. There had been some clear leak issues around the toilet that had been messily patched. Practically no water pressure in the shower. No coffee maker. One lamp didnt work. Iron but no ironing board. Overflowing trash in the public areas all weekend. This was a double room but we were only give a single room set of towels. The AC unit was incredibly loud and clicked. The channel guide was incorrect.
Oscie...at the front desk was great.. he aloud us to check out late knowing I had an infant that was up all night ..that was not his problem .. but he made it his 1st priority to check us out late and to make sure we had everything in our room that we could possibly need .... we have stayed here many of times due to having family in this town so we come very often and only stay here at the Jameson inn .. we are very satisfied with the cleanliness of this hotel and appreciate the hard work of your staff that works hard to keep it that way ... breakfast was great as always .. and staff is always friendly .. but oscie takes the cake! He had such a warm personality and we cant thank him enough! Hope to see him next time !!
I like how they put on a good smile when you first walk into the hotel but little did I know that smile was deceiving. Jameson Hotel in Brunswick GA is the worst hotel I’ve ever been to. The cereal was stale and the milk was Luke warm. The lady that handle the food/breakfast area is rude. We did not get any room service on the second night of our stay. I had to ask for towels and wash cloths for my room due to the negligence by the housekeeper. Matter of fact instead of the housekeeper cleaning our room, he or she put a do not disturb sign on our door so they wouldn’t have to clean it. I reported it to the woman that works at the front desk and she tried to say someone in my room did it. Front desk customer service does not have any training in solving customers service problem. The manager does not get in until 12pm which sucks. I would give this hotel a half star. Please do not waste your money going there.
Rooms, hallways, carpet in hallways, A/C units, and gym need to be upgraded/replaced. Need better attention to detail housekeeping/cleaning. On day of check-in, first night in room, I encountered spiders/webs, soiled towels/linen, inoperable outlets, television and heating unit, totally unsatisfactory. Staff was nice and pleasant, maintenance responded. Facilities/furniture dated and worn. The entire hotel needs a military field day and Commanding Officers Inspection.
One of the best hotel stays for the price point. The room was clean and all appliances worked well. Room was on the bottom floor, so there was a bit of additional foot traffic noise and vehicle noise. The exterior doors tend to slam too, so leave the fan on at night for some white noise if youre a light sleeper. I was impressed at the quality and options with the free breakfast: waffles, sausage, eggs, biscuits and gravy, cereal, bagels, juice, coffee, and a few other options. Lastly, the front desk and manager were friendly and helpful at check in and check out. I would stay here again the next time Im in the area.
First room I got was 140 and the bed rails werent even together so the bed fell as I sat on it. They sent housekeeping to come fix it so I offered help to lean the mattresses up to fix the frame. The frame could only be screwed together so I moved to another room. 133 was ok but not clean no toilet paper. Just an all around gross place to stay. My company has CLC cards so no choice in hotels in the area. Dont waste your money.
The entrance is very nice looking. You have to get to your room from the outside..Now our first room smelled and I killed 2 bugs one got away. They moved us to another room and the smell was much better and no bugs. The maids gave us 2 towels for 2 adults and 2 kids and didnt clean our room or pull the trash. Always read reviews before making any move and dont rush the way I did. Luckily I was able to go to the Holiday Inn with no problem.
The transmission on our family car went out while traveling to Orlando. We stopped to call a tow truck and have lunch at Cracker Barrel, when we decided the family would would not be able to ride to have the car towed to a dealership over an hour away. We booked a room at Jameson Inn in hopes of being able to wait out the afternoon out of the heat. We checked in without a problem, but we’re quite taken back by the mess we found. The stairwell was filled with trash, the hallway carpet was a terrible mess, and a mans laundry was left in the room we were checked into! After that we were concerned about the cleanliness of the room and checked out asap. So gross! We waited out the rest of the afternoon at Cracker Barrel. As an update in response to the management response to this review: We did alert housekeeping. They were working in a room further down the hallway.
Checked in 11/30/19 Conf # 59717 Bad Experience at your hotel. At arrival there were 3 couples ahead of us. Clerk at desk was fumbling around and very slow and complaining about his job..The first couple finally got checked in and while the second couple in line was trying to get a room the first couple returned because their room key would not work. Before the third couple could check in another person came up to the desk complaining that their room key would not work. A lady came in behind us and the front desk clerk told her that the hotel was full, no more rooms. That was not true at all, it was just 6:00 pm and the outside parking lot was almost empty. We finally got checked is after 30 minutes of waiting and when we opened our door the room was a complete wreck. Very dirty and had not been cleaned after the previous guest had left. We returned to the lobby and the clerk seemed not bothered at all and asked if we wanted another room. The next morning when we left the new front desk clerk was even more unfriendly and rude....... Worst motel experience I have ever had in 62 years.
Okay hotel, room was clean. Front desk clerk didnt seem to know what he was doing. TV was terrible. Sheets on the bed were very rough and itchy. Free breakfast was pretty decent. Didnt stay long, was on the road and just stopped for the night. Thought the price was a little high, but the other places in this area are pricey.
First of all,we were told we reserved the last two double beds but when we arrived was informed only had a king. About 8 PM had to use room toilet but bathroom door was locked. Tried to call front desk, but room phone was inoperable. So had to get dressed and go to the front office, was told maintenance personnel were not at the motel. Clerk ASKED ME if I wanted her to call maintenance and said i could use the lobby restroom. I just stared at her till she called. Maintenance said I needed to use a quarter to open the bath room facilities. Finally got room bathroom opened to find No Hot Water in shower, but had warm water in sink. So went to watch TV and only had 12 cable channels and only fox no ABC CBS NBC etc; . The weather was hot and the room ac could not keep room cool. THE ONLY REASON I GAVE 1 STAR, was the breakfast was good and kitchen staff nice. By the way I was in room 142
The room was nice and clean it seemed fairly updated and I loved the fact that the floor was not carpet. The free breakfast was also very good. The only negetive comment I have is on the day of check out the hotel was completely book and I feel like we were rushed out of the room before our check time. But overall the room and price was great and I will stay again.
We were unexpectedly delighted to be greeted by the front desk. Delcina had the most infectious smile & personality. Eager to please & even greeted us by name to make sure our accommodations were acceptable as we came through the lobby to go to dinner. Then, even offered recommendations & wishes us a great evening. Its a shame all hotels do not have a Delcina! Thank you for making our travels more enjoyable.
I’ve stayed here twice now.The first stay I was put in a room where the heater smelt terribly burnt! I told staff and was put in a nicer room immediately! The staff is super friendly. I never made it to the breakfast so no comment on it, but the rooms are pretty standard. Bathrooms could use some work but other than that I would stay again.
The toilet did not work in the room. There was an outlet without a cover. The breakfast only had a few items, but they did have a waffle maker which is why they got 2 stars. Also plan on paying $5 extra for a hotel/motel fee room was $59 a night with the fee and tax it was $71. Staff was nice and walking distance to Cracker Barrel.
Didn’t change the sheets but once the whole two weeks I was there and that’s because I asked. Kept shorting me towels. Breakfast was so-so. My friends sink in another room would fill up when he showered. After 2 days of complaining, they finally moved him to another room. However, I enjoyed the coffee. (If you like strong coffee, you won’t like this one).
When we got there to check in our key didnt work and we could only get one because they didnt have anymore. Once we finally got into the room the tv didnt work. We were given 3 different rooms before they found a tv that worked. We stayed for two days and before we could get in there good there were roaches coming out of the drawers. This place is horrible!!!!
Place looks nice. However the walls are paper thin. I had to call the front desk on two separate occasions for a wild party that the desk tried to control. However the duty clerk was a young lady that the party personnel were very rude to and mocked her. After about 45 minutes, we had to call again since one of the party goers set off the panic button on his vehicle for approximately 10 minutes, this is at 2:45 in the morning. The front desk does not require to register license plate numbers so she stated - what did I expect her to do. This was not a good nights sleep after driving for 9 hours with 8 more hours to go for final destination. Will not be recommending this place or staying there.
We had a great start at the Jameson. If it hadnt been for the bus load of high school students, it would have been perfect. The breakfast food was delicious, and the server did an awesome job. On the second morning, because of the children, they ran out of a lot and trash piled up. The receptionist did not help at all and that was disappointing. The server was extremely busy and tried to do the best she could. We had to ask the receptionist for assistance
The hotel is really clean for the most part inside the rooms. We did book a King size bed and were given two queens but we were so tired we didnt care. The toilet didnt work, however although I doubt all the rooms are like this. We will be staying here again as this place looks much nicer than its cost at $58.
Got a room here they said they dont take locals so I tried to get my brother who is from Houston to use his Id while staying here they told me it was fine I then tried to pay for another night they manager came out the office hostile as can be and said we dont care whats going on leave. Now btw my brother was here from Houston because my 4 month old son died 3 days ago. And oh yea they dont care whats going on honestly terrible workers terrible service terrible moods and honestly know how to make someone want to rage out
We got 2 rooms. One of them still had some peoples stuff in it. Another room still had people in it! We unlocked the door and we saw people sleeping in the bed! They gave us an occupied room! The first one had a broken air conditioner. It was really hot in there. They did have free breakfast. They had waffles, eggs, sausage, oatmeal, cereal, juice, and hot beverages.
Rooms were actually great!But....the owners family were in the pool....babies naked....teenager had a bloody towel around her foot... complaining how it burned and still went in the pool even with the bloody towel around her foot... I called my girls out and went back up to her room. Breakfast was improperly replenished... When I first entered the girl stepped up to the desk chewing food and barely spoke so we waited till she was done chewing told her what we needed. Totally unprofessional all that I recognize that work there. Sorry for you guys
I loved the location of the Hotel but we booked for 2 nights but was charged for 3. The first night the bed was really hard so the next night we changed room and the bed was much better. I have called the hotel several times about refunding my money for a night we didnt stay. I have still yet to receive my refund. Called my bank and we all were on the line and still No Refund!!! I will not recommend or stay at this Jameson Hotel every again!!!!
Needed a hotel with truck parking I should have kept looking. First off was told they dont have handicapped rooms. Then put us on the other end of first floor and toliet was broke so had to walk all the way back to office then put us on second floor. Room looked clean but the bathroom still had the used soaps and shampoo from past guest. When complained they brought 1 bar of soap and 1 shampoo we had to clean up after past guest. And drink machines do not work.
Dont! I repeat DONT stay here! Our anniversary turned into a nightmare because of this place. We reserved a room, got told we didnt, it was magically found, got put in a room we didnt reserve, was told they didnt have one, debit card was hit twice for different amounts, we were refused a refund and the manager some how managed to find a room like we wanted. We had house keeping banging on our door with the do not disturb on the door because they couldnt get in and it wasnt in the system we were put in another room. We left for maybe 10-15 minutes to get something to eat and came back to our door open. They rented out our room with us in it. About 10:30-11pm we got a call from front desk wanting to know who was in the room. The hall smells like something dead. It is far from being clean. The elevators do not work nor did the vending machines. There is broken tile in the pool and we didnt know it so I got small shards stuck in my feet. We werent the only ones there that had a bad night/ weekend there. The guy in the room next to us also got busted in on because his room was also rented out with him in it. Thanks Jameson Inn of Brunswick for making this the worst anniversary we have ever had! We spent more time trying to fix yalls screw ups with our room than we got to spend sight seeing! It was bad enough that I wanted a refund Friday night after all bull crap and was refused that! We traveled 4 hours for what was supposed to be a relaxing weekend only to live a nightmare from Friday night until this morning when we left! Never again! I was more excited to be coming home than what should have been a nice weekend get away with the hell we were put through. The icing on the cake is that no one even offered an apology for all of the screw ups! The manager did supposedly take $30 off of the bill. But, what is $30 when your entire weekend from Friday night until we left this morning was like something from a horror movie.
Let me first say... I like my Hampton Inns as I always know what I am getting into. This hotel was half the price and half the luxury but clean rooms and comfortable. My main complaint is the lack of bedding as the beds only have a very thin cover which had no padding. On the positive side, the staff were very nice and lobby is tastefully decorated and the price is very good.So if you are looking for a cheap stay.. you cant go wrong. If staying somewhere on higher end is important.. pass.
Very nice! The room was clean, comfortable bed, free WiFi, nice hot well prepared breakfast, safe, accommodating, friendly! Went there after ice storm outed electricity in my neighborhood. The coupon rate made this room a bargain compared to most other medium priced hotels in the area. I would recommend this Jameson Inn to others.
Well you cant expect much. Had to ask 3 times to get my dirty sheets and blankets changed. That took three days so I went to local store and brought my own. They do not clean the rooms very well. Water in area is nasty. Area also smells bad. Out of nowhere my room starts smelling like someone took a poop. Dang natts/bugs so bring spray. My car was surrounded by natts. There are a few decent places to eat within 5 miles. A few places to eat within walking distance of the Inn. Im here by default but I would not pay to stay here unless it was some kind of circumstance.
I would not recommend anyone staying at this hotel! First, I was greeted with I hope you have a reservation because were booked for the night. Once we arrived to our room, the door was wide open and a fan was sitting in the doorway. Immediately I called the front desk and was told that was the only room that they had for us, which had a toilet that was leaking into the floor.Next morning, I called the front desk again because now the leaking toilet had produced about a half inch to an inch of water on the bathroom floor and was running into the room. I was asked if I requested a different room.... Finally, the manager said we would be moved to another room that day. We go about out day, come back and have a different room but now cannot get into the room where our things are! Go back to the front desk again, finally get settled in the other room.Next morning, the kids wanted to go to the pool. It looked like it hadnt been cleaned in quite some time so we called the front desk again... two days later it appeared to be useable.Go back to the room for the evening and the hallway reeks of marijuana! Went to the front desk again and she laughed...Multiple times I tried calling the front desk and the phone was either busy or they would answer and lay it to the side, you could hear them talking. Our last day there, because I ended up checking out a day early, I went to the front desk early and explained my disappointment. The manager, Gary kept trying to interrupt me and told me if I had told them about the issues that they would have moved me. Obviously, the night shift does not communicate with the day shift! The only good part about our stay was meeting Lolitha Lewis, the housekeeper in our area. She went above and beyond to do what she could to make our stay as good as it could be!
Basic hotel, nothing fancy. Good location, right off 95, and decent sized rooms. Staying for work (for two weeks), usually stay at only Marriott properties when traveling. For the reason of my visit, and the ease of the location, it work for me. If you stay try to get a first floor room, the elevators are located in the middle and not too convenient.
Room was adequate for price. Noted multiple repairs which were not completed or completed and still noticible. Overall the room was fine for sleeping. The front desk staff was courteous and helpful. It was not crowded and easy access to The interstate and restaurants.
I definitely 100% recommend staying here upon your visit. For the price its totally worth it. They practically have a buffet for their morning breakfast, a saltwater pool, and they have a really nice gym right next to the pool if thats something youd like to do. I really enjoyed my time here and the food in the morning times was a lifesaver. I plan on coming here again the next time I decide to go to Jekyll Island.
My family stayed here. It took three trys to get us a room. First room was occupied, second room was not cleaned, third room was finally the charm. The poor girl at the service desk was having such a hard time. Our room it self was ok...it had a weird smell but we didnt care after driving 9+ hours in horrible traffic and weather.
The rooms are very clean and breakfast was good. I would give this place a good rating if we didnt have a very weird experience while there. We checked in for 2 nights from the beginning. After the first night, before leaving the motel after breakfast, we even confirmed with the reception that we are going to keep the room for another night. Coming back shortly after 3 p.m. and going to our room, we had a surprise; the key doesnt work. My hubby goes to the reception and 2 minutes later returns with a working key AND my pillow in one hand, slippers in another and a plastic bag with some of our personal stuff in it. Very confused at this point, we try to go inside the room. The door opens and there is a man on the bed all naked except for a pair of underwear on him who jumps and screams when he sees us. I scream as well, say sorry and exit.So we return to the reception to let them know that there is someone else, now very frightened, in the room. They gave us a different room and said that since there were no clothes in the room when they cleaned it they took it upon themselves to check us out. What about all the other staff? The pillow, slippers, all our cosmetics, toothbrushes, my husbands electric shaver? Who has decided that if there are no clothes in the room you can reassign the room to another traveler? And even if we did leave, what was their problem since we already agreed to pay for another night and they had our credit card on file? Yes, we took our suitcase with us because it suited our needs for the day but everything else was still there including some food and drinks in the fridge which were thrown out along with the toothbrushes. We have traveled some and this is the first time something like this happens to us. Very disappointing since we didnt even get an apology at the end.
Well I had to stay there for 3 weeks due to work and this was the place they put me in. The air conditioning sucked. I had to go buy a fan from the walmart. The room service had a hard time supplying me with towls. My family came and stayed with me for a few days and I had to just about beg for 2 extra sets of tools for them. Some money hot missing form my room. And I reported it, the lobby just said that the room keeper might have thought it was a tip. It wad the change in had from the night before from laundry. The drier never seemed to get my clothes dry. And the pool just had a nasty feel to it. Al.ost like there was no chemicals in it. On every all it was a bad stay and I would never stay there again .
1st room I had to move. AC didnt work, shower curtain was missing. 2nd room was by the stairs. The door slams everytime it shut so didnt get to sleep till after midnight. The bed was hard as a rock. Housekeeping clutters the halls with trash, carts, vacuums and more. So its hard to get through with your suitcases. Elevator was broke. The front desk people were nice...
I think they are racist against whites. Our room was at the end of the the hall on the second floor past other rooms I know were unoccupied. The beds looked like someone had already been laying on both of them and so I checked the pillow cases and they were filthy. Makeup all over one and looked like a man that been working outside for days been laying on the other. But I had to move the bedside table to plug up the lamp to see them and when I did it smelled like someone puked on the floor. We got our money back and went to motel 6.
Made a last minute reservation in car. Have stayed and been pleased with Jameson Inns in GA near Atlanta, so had same expectations for this one. It was NOT the same. Check in went fine even though there was a line. 1st room was at least 85 degrees with air conditioner set at 60 degrees. Tried to deal but couldnt handle the heat. Called for a room change. 2nd room had either not been cleaned or someone had snuck in and used room. Bed was obviously used. Went back for room change again. 3rd room was stayable. Room was still warm, but much cooler than first room. I think this inn has potential. The rooms were clean, but needs many upgrades on equipment, such as air conditioners. Im hoping that this review finds the correct eyes to bring it up to the conditions of the other Jameson Inns that we have stayed at and enjoyed.
A former Hampton Inn in serious need of a remodel. The Jameson Inn corporate debacle must have bought this older property and slapped a Jameson Inn sign on the front. The property is old and outdated. My room, along with my 17 colleagues rooms, exhibited moldy caulking around the bathroom tubs, rusty steel bathroom fixtures, dust bunnies everywhere, peeling drywall tape along the base molding in the rooms, lumpy beds, stained hallway carpet, lots of dirty and disheveled areas within the room, soap scum stained ‘stainless’ steel faucets, dirty windows, etc. In fact, there is a water soaked area in the hallway that just seeps water when you step on that area if the carpet. It has been that way for 7 days. The cleaning lady told me it was a water leak that needs to be fixed. Apparently, that isnt high on the list of priorities. The breakfast is the same everyday, which consists of a nice variety. But, I have noticed the sausage links sometimes are a different color than the others in the back of the pan. Me thinks they are using the sausage from the previous day that wasnt used so it doesnt go to waste. Kinda disgusting if you ask me.The wifi is horrible as others have stated and is super unreliable. The fitness center has broken equipment. The location is accommodating. Easy access. The lobby and outside of the hotel are probably the nicest looking, which is average. That is very deceiving and will most likely make travelers fork over $85 for a night here. However, this hotel clearly belongs in the $50 range a night and not the $100 range that it so clearly is trying to capture. The photos you see in the site are not accurate in my opinion.Pass this place up and stay at nice hotels like Holiday Inn or Marriotts.
Went to breakfast with my friend and my 7 mth old and had to run up stairs an get my other son cause my daughter and son and my friends olders kid was up stairs still sleeping from getting in late the night before . came back to our table noticed it was clean and before I could look up I heard a very rude snide remark from the employee behind the counter about how I could have cleaned up my mess next time .... First of all what ever happened to hospitality and being curtious to your guest . Second off had the rude over paid counter twit gave me and my family and my friends time or a chance it would have been cleaned up when we were finished. Ive never ate , stayed nor have I went any where and made a mess and not clean it up. So for as far as the hospitality and professional ethics of the employee your better off staying at a run down flea bag hotel than stay where your treated so disrespectful by staff! My suggestion is to get the staff in check before a guest does that for you! Dont treat ppl rude and think they gonna let that slick mouth over ride that big rear end !
While the staff is kind and professional the Inn itself has a poor infrastructure. Additionally, the amenities are of low quality, the interior is dilapidated, many rooms are plagued by insects, and the sheets, towels, wash cloths, pillow cases are generally stained, even after a wash. I strongly do not recommend this establishment.
Had a very late check in but called ahead to make sure they knew. The guy on the phone was polite. When we arrived finally arrived exhausted and tired we had to wait behind a locked sliding door, buzzing and calling to get someone to let us in. We got a late check out for 1pm so we could be fully rested before hitting the road again. From 9am an aggressive knock by house keeping, at 10:30am another aggressive knock, noon and then quarter to 1. Was the most unrestful sleep and felt like it even defeated the purpose. Rooms were $30-$40 rooms not $70. Will not stay at this place again nor would I recommend it.
The room was not cleaned .the staff was on their phone at check out did not even acknowledge I was standing in front of him untill I said hello .the hairdryer caught fire .I called front desk an no one came iam now missing my bangs .even the check in was a mess the girl at front desk could not print out receipt had a girl come to the room for me to sign .she said it was her first day an was sorry she didnt clean my room along with the maintenance man whom said the same thing very very discussed I asked to speak with the manager an was told he would call me lets see if he does.the Manager never called me .i called again an asked to speak with them .6 times an got they are busy an will call you .would not stay here again.sn dont recommend you do if your reading this .I work hard an think its a shame that they steal your money
The property was unkempt and trash laying around. The staff was ok. The rooms were musty and the AC was governed to the point of uncomfortability. No coffee maker in room. Cigarette burns on the furniture. The breakfast was dried up turkey sausage, what looked to be powdered eggs, very dark biscuits and the pan of gravy had a gross dark thick layer over it. The attendant was a lady who was just sitting there chatting loudly with a friend. Do not stay here.
Best service in town. Rooms are amazing. Breakfast is outstanding. The staff are friendly and helpful. I always use the Jameson Inn wherever I go. The Brunswick Georgia location always outshines them all. I highly recommend anyone traveling through Brunswick to stay at the Jameson.
While on business I spent 2 weeks at the JAMESON INN (Brunswick) and while there I had a chance to speak with several of the employees at the Jameson Inn and they were all very kind, available and ready to make my stay one that I would not forget. While there and outside many times I had a chance in viewing their day to day operation and I must say that between the general manager (Gary Noble) and all his employees, they have a great working ethic structure where work gets done as it should, while with empathy compassion and generosity nearby. There amenities choices were outstanding, their linens and towels were White clean, breakfast was like having a buffet (waffles, eggs, toast, oatmeal, cereal, coffee juice etc.… The pool was clean and beautiful for relaxing with many restaurant choices nearby. This is one hotel that I will continue to frequent whenever I am in town. My advice to anymore seeking an inexpensive, quality, safe sleep and clean hotel is to go ahead and just make your reservation with the Jameson Inn because you will not be disappointed.) My experience was priceless!
My experience at this hotel was horrible. I had applied for a housekeeping job at Jamison Inn and the hiring manger April was very rude and a bit racist towards me. So about a week or so went by and I got another call telling me to come in again because they were hiring immediately, then when I come in for my first day of work the follow day April decides to have another attitude with me like it’s my fault that the GM told me I could start working today . Mind you it’s 9 in the morning and my family and I only have 1 car . I explained the situation and all but April still wasn’t trying to hear what I had to say . She barely even looked at my application , just flipped the pages and said “no” . This hotel does not have any structure , April is trying to be the head person when she’s not , then at that she’s very rude . Let me not forget to mention how the GM Gary told me all this great stuff the day before , even told me to bring my SSC & my ID ; but when it was my turn to talk to him the phone he’s was yelling at me and just trying to put a blame on me as if it was my fault . I don’t recommend people to stay or to apply here . This was one of the worst experiences I had when trying to find a job .
DO yourself a favor Do Not Stay Here. I went online checked to see if a room was available and it was, I called and spoke with Jessica, to let her know we have a service dog, my husband is disabled, she informed me after I told her about a under 20 lb service dog, there are no rooms available but there was2 seconds before that andshe hung up on me. I sent an email for someone to contact me. Gary Noble called me, never said on behalf of the company he was sorry for her rudness etc, he said Do you want to make a reservation We have to accept your service dog He said he would honor the web price, I asked him to send me a conformation, He sent me 2 with 2 different amounts, no notation was on it about my service dog, which I had asked him to please put it on the confirmation, I did not want any problems with his front desk when we arrived. When I called him and asked him about the 2 confirmations, he said I was the rude one, and he cancelled my reservation, which at this point, I was fine with that, hopefully my credit card was not charged by him with all of these charges. From the treatment I receieved they have a real problem if a person has a disability that requires a service dog. Stay Away from this place if you want to have a nice vacation. Thank you
Looks very nice from the outside...me and my husband stayed on the first floor which the doors was on the outside...( Didnt like that) when we got in our room the bed spread had stains on it..there was a Geico (lizard) in the sink half way down the drain and yes he was alive...the tub wasnt clean it had shampoo lids in the drain...the bed was very hard...like sleeping on concrete. Will not be staying here again!
We planned to stay at this dump 3 days and in the first ten minutes of getting our room we already planned to reloacate to another hotel the next morning...the hotel is a disgusting sad excuse of a place for people to stay in! I try my best to make the best out of a bad situation but wen the floor has red stains on it the bathroom has mold in it the bed sheets have yellow stains and the floor feels wet and sticky its really hard...the worst part is the pictures look amazing but dont be fooled find a homeless shelter for the night your less likely to get lice..i just cant put into words how disgusting this place is the a/c dosent work and neither does the fridge...the only nice television was in the lobby. My family and I only got about 2 hours of sleep due to the horrible discomfort of the room...deplorable nasty conditions..i dont understand how they are stil open. Any good reviews you see are more than likely written by staff because this place is trash and a horrible idea for families..but if you have a prostitute or a drug problem and enjoy hearing the people in the room next to you fight it is a great place.Dont stay here! Ever!
Very nice hotel, wonderful front desk staff, was in town to take family pictures and we had two rooms and only one was ready and she let us check in early so we could make the beach before dark. The absolute best continental breakfast Ive ever seen . Thanks for a great stay.
Well lets see I dont even no where to begin with reviewing this hotel. I think Ill start with the BLOOD splatter and streaks on the wall. I took pictures of it and showed it to the manager. I received a refund. This hotel has the potential to be nice BUT it isnt. I TRULY think this hotel needs to be shut down until all of the problems can be rectified.
Service was great, as was location. However, 4 out of 5 towels had hair on them, and there was hairs in the shower and on the sink. Informed the front desk, they were apologetic, and stayed that they have had that complaint before, and had just fired the person who did the laundry.
The pics are a front. if u grab a room here you are wasting your money. how you working as house keeping but you wearing scrubs? front desk so unorganized. the let people check inn without a id, the elevator is expired. so u riding it at your own risk. they make pics look nice but when u get your room everything got stains on it. sheets got stains towels got stains. straight hood hotel. everything felt old and dirty and hotel stank. i thought i was at a econo lodge or something. if u have booked this my advise cancel while u still have time. make sure you bring your own towels because they dont have any. they dont care about there customers. i booked two nights only stayed one. thats how bad it was. they dont greet there customers. NEVER AGAIN
They made a mistake with my reservation but quickly rectified it with a very friendly apology and other things. Ive always loved the friendly and homey look of this chain since Fitzgerald Ga. Thank you Mgt. and staff Gary Clayton and the on call housekeeper. Im so sorry we didnt remember your name. Red hair 💇 I do remember. Clayton pointed out the ship overturned in St. Simons island and I love 💘 big ships. See you guys again.
They were more than happy to book the room telling me plenty were available and an early check in was available. Reality is, cleaning crew doesnt bring cleaning sheet to front desk until 3 PM and the front desk will not check you in until 3 PM. Lazy front desk attendants!!!
They never changed the trash, left wet towels in our to sour for days on in, never brought new towels to my room, there was black mold every where, the WiFi sucked, any time I would tell them, the service desk was very rude, I wouldnt send my worst enemy to stay in this hotel. They should be shut down.
This is a standard Motel with no frills and a low price. The room was clean and everything worked. The only notable exception was the breakfast. How do you cook scrambled eggs so badly but they fall apart almost to dust on your plate. Go across the street and get your eggs cooked at the Cracker Barrel.
Everything was great about my stay with one exception. While leaving I’m assuming they were training a girl and she said if the pillows aren’t perfect white then they change them. In my head I’m thinking they get changed after evey check out. Other than that comment, it’s well worth the money
Grabbed a room at this place through Priceline - seemed like a good deal. When I arrived, an hour after booking, a young lady told my wife and I that the hotel was full, so they wouldnt be able to honor my reservation, and Priceline would refund our money. We got back in the car, joking about how this hotel was apparently full with only 15% of the parking lot in use, and booked a room across the street. A week later, when the charge hadnt been refunded, I called Priceline. They called the hotel and spoke with the GM, Gary, who was incredibly rude and unprofessional - and this is coming from arguably the sweetest customer service rep Ive ever encountered. They barely had me in their system (just the first two letters of my last name) and claimed they were NOT booked to capacity that night. Im glad Priceline is made up of somewhat decent people who refunded my money anyway - a far cry from the incompetence that staffs this dive. Do yourself a favor and snag a room at the La Quinta across the street.
Sorry. Not a review but, we will be there in March. Im bringing my husband for his birthday to the Elvis festival. As I was calling around to check on some hotels, I talked to the nicest lady at the Jameson. She was the main reason I chose this hotel. Thank you so much. See you in March. Susan Clatterbuck
DO NOT BOOK THERE!! Worst booking in my life!!! Even not worth 1 star!! In Sep 2018 I stayed for a couple days in the States to visit friends in SC. On my way there I planned to stay one night in Brunswick. Unfortunately there was hurricane Florence so I had to cancel the booking. One month later when I was already back home in Germany they charged my card for a stay I never had in Jameson Inn!! Arguing I was there from 10/14/2018 to 10/15/2018. Hello?! are you f***ing kidding me?! I could proof that I canceled the hotel (terms showing I would get cashback) and that I was even not in the USA and still they said I stayed at there place and wanted my money!!
Stayed here for three weeks, its no Marriott but it is clean, the staff is friendly, modern tvs and refrigerators in each room, and the breakfast isnt bad. Great place to stay on a budget. Mcdonalds, krystals, Burger King, kfc, and a gas station all within sight/walking distance.
As a disabled veteran, I was very dissatisfied with the actions of the Jameson Inn Brunswick GA. I made my reservations for the 9th of March 2018 on the 7th of February 2018,. Since I had made them early I called on the 6th of March to confirm my reservation (all was good). On the 8th of March Ms. Moye called me to inform me that my reservation was cancelled (she didnt know why); she rechecked reservations and told me that she had found me an available room. I gave her my credit card information (thought I was good to go). I arrived at 3:10pm on the 9th of March 2018 . As I was checking, in the front desk clerk informed me that my reservation had been cancelled, I asked to see Ms. Moye as to why it was cancelled, Ms. Moye informed me me that her supervisor had cancelled my reservation and he was gone for the day. ( OK, I found another hotel). THEN Jameson Inn Brunswick, GA CHARGES MY CREDIT CARD!!Very Disatisfied with this hotel!!
We accidentally left a cooler in our room and the front desk staff apparently never found it nor communicated with the housekeeping department to find it. We called three times and the cooler was never seen.Very disappointed with the quality of customer service in this hotel. Not going back.
Im currently standing at the front desk and feeling very disgusted. The rooms and service is DISGUSTING. It has made our quick, fun weekend getaway a drag. Standing here waiting getting NO RESULTS. This will definitely be our last time patronizing this establish. I suggest to anyone GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.
I would rate this motel a 0.I would not recommend this place to anyone.Specifically asked about a pool for our kids and was told yes we have a pool but we’re not informed that it was a non working pool. Was placed in a room that was supposed to be closed for maintenance,no cleaning of room at all,no trash pickup,no towels, floors so nasty our kids feet were black from walking on the floors. Our vacation at this motel was a complete nightmare..We feel our $350 we paid for this place should be refunded along with everyone else.In fact this motel should be shut down because it is not fit to stay in.
They put us in a room with no A/C so Then then changed us to an upstairs All way at end of a hall, When I booked is was booked with the ppl knew that I had a disabled veteran knowing he could walk well. Plus they are young people here drinking. Like a fish,. They are training to work for TSA what a bunch of drunks. I will never stay here again.
Check out was 11am and I had a knock at my door at 10:10am telling me they need to take my sheets, I was very upset plus I reported to there managment but at the end of the day nothing happens. If you need to leave early stay here but if you want to stay till a 11am please don’t waste your time staying here!!!
I was there from August 2 2019 to august 5 2019 I enjoy everything about it the service the breakfast and atmosphere.the last time I was there was 2015 bout the same time.and I will always stay there wherever I visit home.thank you all the employees.especially Mr. Gary Noble and the housekeeping team.and the front desk clerk Ms.D.Ms Bailey and Sanaa Bailey.
After being given the key and walking into someones elses room. Then being given another key and walking i to a roo. With someones baggage. I was given a third key. On the third on the third floor. LATER SOMEONE WALKED I ON ME..THIS WAS A MESS AND EXPENSIVE ROOM. NOT WHAT I WAS PROMISED...SO EMBARASSING GEE WHIZ MY LORD

2022-01-11The folks here were very welcoming. Linda who checked us in was wonderful. Also upon checking out the staff was so pleasant as well. The motel is located right next to the Cracker Barrel, which was very convenient. The room that we stayed in needed a little bit of an up grade, but the king sized bed was very comfortable. We paid $79 plus tax which was extremely affordable. All and all we got a good night sleep.

2022-03-19Dated, dirty, worn. Front desk was closed at 10 pm. We called # on door. Lady was very nice n helpful. We were having phone difficulties. Finally got in our room thanks to another guest assisting us, too. Outside looks very nice, but inside was not. Floors were sticky. Commode kept running. Limited TV stations. We were charged over $150 for a low budget room. Taxes???? Was told it was $125.Would definitely not recommend this place again.

2022-04-26Room were dirty. Shower were none functional. Spent over an hour waiting for the front desk to fine a room that had a working shower. Was told they would refund my stay. The next morning spoke with Roxie stating she was the manager and they could not offer a refund but will work something out for out inconvenience. Promise she was going to call she never did. Do not stay at this place they lie and the hotel is old and run down.

2022-06-11This is a absolute must MISS Hotel...the best thing that could happen to this disgusting Inn is a fire. Do not stay, rooms are older than dirt, linen is see thru, no TV or WIFI, no soap, as for breakfast...since they dont open the lobby till 7am, I luckily miss it!. No night staff what-so-ever so you are on your own. Spent 1 night due to 8 pm arrival but checked out 2 days early and they tagged me 1 nights penalty. The Wingate next door is far superior that this dump!

2021-12-07They didnt ask for ID at desk when checking in. The pool was open from dawn to dusk- there is no hot tub.The furniture and some fixtures in room are updated and modern. Others are outdated. The room smelled clean- found 2 hairs in sheets (Im sure just cleaning crews hair or something). We couldnt figure out how to work one of lamps. There was a small closet space with regular sized ironing board. The bathroom had a lot of space and included a shower chair. There were a couple water damage spots on ceiling but other than that it seemed clean (it did smell strongly of cleaning solution). An adequate place to stay for the price.

2022-06-18Old dated rooms. Waited an hour to get into our room as it wasn’t even cleaned yet. They cancelled our reservations an hour before we arrived. Lady at front desk was insanely rude.

2021-08-02Very overpriced, NOT worth the money.CONS:-First thing we noticed was the slippery wet floors which stayed wet throughout our stay.-The walls are paper thin on the ground floor, so you hear anyone that walks by.-Customer service was rude over the phone.-The TV is super small and low resolution.-Wifi didnt connect to our room/kept cutting out.-The towel rack fell off when I pulled the towel off it.PROS-Its a great location. Near many different fast food restaurants, area feels safe, and there are some parking spots with shade.

2022-04-09The hotel was not special in terms of it’s amenities. However Roxy at the front desk, was so helpful and kind after a day of driving, she made us feel very welcomed.
