My husband and I were looking for a new expedition with a certain package, however, we had to expand our scope because we could not find anything locally. Then, we found just the one at J.C. Lewis! Sydney and Russ were amazing, not pushy, patient and had that home town customer service feel. We agreed to terms on our trade and new expedition. The sales team was great when first buying a certified pre-owned vehicle at this dealership. The car started having transmission issues within a month and a half of owning the car. I dropped my off at the dealership in Savannah on Monday to get serviced. It took a week to get an appointment, and I’m on day 13 without a car. The GM of the Statesboro dealership told me that he would help get a loaner lined up when I dropped it off on Monday but after one of the dealerships service schedulers and myself sent him an email, we have not heard anything back. I called and left a message for him on Tuesday as well. Communication from leadership at this dealership has been abysmal.
I just wanted to tell you that, your service department ROCKS!! Everyone that helped me down to the guy that picked up my Escape and brought it back was so helpful and nice. Its refreshing to actually have a great experience. Seems now of days we dont get that often. Filled out a Kelly Blue Book Instant Cash offer, and this dealer was the closest dealer I could cash out at. Shortly after receiving the offer, I received an email from JC Lewis Ford stating, ...the Instant Cash offer is the MINIMUM price that is offered here, and we have found that we typically are willing to pay you 10%-20% more for your vehicle then what KBB has offered. That sounds great! The KBB offer was a bit lower than similar vehicles on the market, but 20% above that would be rather competitive as a starting point for negotiations.I drive to the dealer, talk with an agent, and then get offered thousands, over 30%, under the KBB offer. They saw the lights on the dashboard and slashed their estimated repair costs off the KBB offer. I told KBB about those lights. The original offer was made knowing these lights are on. Had they offered something a bit above the KBB value, then shaved off for repairs, sure, I could work with that. But to be offered so much under, when I was transparent during the whole process, I felt misled.

Update: the service manager contacted me immediately about my issue. He went above and beyond within 24 hours to fix the problem and I greatly appreciated that.If i could give a negative star rating i would. I had a appointment for 1030 and set the appointment 2 weeks in advance. I needed 2 recalls fixed, one was a door latching issue, and the other was the brake system leaking fluid from the master cylinder to the brake booster. Thats 2 important things if you ask me. The other 2 things was to update my sync 3 navigation and install the trailer brake system. I was originally told it would be done by 2, and come 12 I was told it be done by 3. I arrive by 3 to pick up my vehicle and it never moved from where I parked it. Its ashame a business runs this way and my bill would would have been over 500 dollars. Cant even give my money away. I will not recommend this place to anyone.
Was helped by Walker T. for a trade-in and purchase. Dude was honest, but professional with the whole thing.The 5 stars are for him, otherwise Id give the process a 2 or less, but Walker really helped keep everything cool and painless as possible, especially I was in a tough spot in terms of getting a car.

J. C. Lewis Ford was a great place to buy a new car. Brian Ballah was our salesman. He went out of his way to answer every question. Everyone else that we had contact with was equally as nice. We feel very lucky to have found this company to do business with. We have been back several times to check how to use different apps on the car and Brian is always there to explain and show us what to do. The receptionists, finical manager, and others were very helpful and all of them met us with a smile. Great place to do business.

I do not recommend JCL. My last car I purchased from them (EcoSport) was sold to me as new, even though it was previously wrecked and repaired at their own body shop.It was not disclosed to me that it has been wrecked. I found out about a year after purchasing the car (even though they admitted it showed up in an audit a month after I bought the car) that it was wrecked when I took it in for service when my engine was acting up. I felt like I was treated like the bad guy for being upset and wanting JCL to fix the situation.It took a roughly 5 month long lawsuit to get them to finally make the situation right.This was the 5th car my family has purchased from them. I trusted JCL and they took advantage of me.
Disappointing to have a dealer allocate an ordered vehicle into their inventory against their customers wishes. Why allow a customer to order if you have no intent to honor the sale... oh I know why, dealer allocations are low. Don’t waste the time and energy of your customers with your backhanded tricks to get more orders delivered to your lot.

In 40 years of life, and many many car purchases I can honestly say the staff at JC Lewis was by far the best. I came to JC Lewis (as well as 3 other Ford Dealerships) with a tough task, I had a specific budget in mind, and specific requirements. They went above and beyond to find me the best deal they could, and then made buying it super easy. I am loving my new F-150! Jake, Franklin and Andrew really did go above and beyond as well, they were out of drivers to deliver my F-150 to me (2 hours away from the dealership) so they took their own time to get it to me a day early. I couldnt say enough good about JC Lewis Ford. These guys may not be the closest Ford dealership to me, but they are definitely the best.
Absolutely terrible customer service in the service department. Had an issue with my truck and they would not even lay an eye on it without and appointment when it could have been an simple fix. I would rather drive an hour to a different dealership than go back to them.

We had such a good experience with JC Lewis when buying our last vehicle that we were confident coming to the Statesboro location for this purchase. Its astounding to me that Mr. Freeman, who sold us our 2010 Escape in Savannah remembered us, and details about our vehicle, almost 12 years later!This time, Daniel in sales definitely put in some overtime helping us find the right vehicle for us, which wasnt easy in the middle of Covid world supply shortages. We bought my husbands truck in 2019 fromJacob Frye at the statesboro location. I knew when it came time to trade in my car i wanted to have either the Lincoln Aviator or the Explorer. Of course, we reached out to Jacob once before this week and it just wasn’t the right time. Regardless, he still tried to make something work for us. We waiting some time and this Tuesday came back into the market. Not only did Jacob put in the time with us, but met us in Savannah so we could work with him when I saw my Explorer pop up on their lot. Every time we work with him it is such a pleasure! The entire team worked magic with us and we are so grateful! Any time we need a car, we will stick with him and JC Lewis. I purchased a 2019 GMC Terrain from J Lewis Ford. The salesman and the remaining staff were all very friendly, accommodating, and easy to work with. They found financing for me at a very desired interest rate, ordered me a manual for my car, and followed up with a call to make sure I was happy with my purchase. They got my truck in fast and were very attentive to my service needs and informed me every step of the way about how things were with my truck. I 100 percent recommend going in the quick lane and seeing Donna if you need service work.

Getting frustrated, I call the number, press 1 for service, Recording “that is not a working number” I call back press 0 for operator, Recording, “That is not a working number” they have serviced my car sense I bought in 2017, if having phone line issues need to have a recording stating that. I need to get in and get my automobile serviced. I did the online chat and was informed someone would be with me shortly this was 9:31am. Getting connected with someone over the past year has gotten tougher and tougher. I would rather Ford service my car than some quick change oil place. Thanks for listening. Other than making a reservation for service issue right now, JC Lewis Ford, Statesboro is an outstanding place with great staff and technicians. 5 👍👍👍👍👍 up.
The whole experience with these guys was amazing. I followed Mike Taft from another dealership because he’s always been outstanding to work with. Anywhere he goes I’ll stay loyal. This is my 5th car I’ve purchased with him. The other guy Alex Miller that helped was stellar he mad the whole process seamless l. Highly recommend these two.
First Service with JC Lewis. This is what I found a month later. I have never had issues before with service at Hodges in Darien. Now I have to make sure to check behind a service man. Thankfully, I dont drive this truck every day, mostly on weekends. Thats the reason for not raising the hood very often. UPDATE:5/3/19. Service manager addressed my issues and made things right. They have won my future business.
I purchased a new Lariat on March 29th through Zack Clarkson and it was one of the most pleasant experiences that I have ever had. After telling him the specifics of what I wanted in my next vehicle he searched far and wide to meet my needs, eventually finding my truck in North Carolina. This dealership and staff have been so helpful and efficient through this whole process of buying online. Never even stepped foot in the dealership and my experience was better than any dealer I ever dealt with. I purchase vehicles every year and I have to say, this speaks volumes for the experience I encountered. From the beginning there was some delay on their end but in return, the GM Stephen made it up to me by offering me 2k more for my trade after I replied to him via email with my feedback. From beginning to end I think they had Franklin, Justin, Jake, and then Stephen making sure I was taken care of and communicated with along the way. Patrick was my finance guy who was also very helpful. Overall, I highly recommend this dealership if you want a smooth buying experience and true customer service. Its nice to see there is still some businesses out there who adhere to pleasing the customer and put you first and not their wallet. I will definitely be back next year!P.S. Stephen even credited me with items that I didnt even have to ask for just to keep the deal in good standing.
Unfortunately, the buying/selling process has not gone as smoothly and quickly as I anticipated. They purchased my vehicle from me. I am on day 7 of waiting for the money owed to me. And it will be at least another week before I get my share. I’m sure the dealership would not allow me to take a vehicle from them and drive it for a couple of weeks before they receivedi their check. Now, they have paid off the amount owed to my bank to free up the title but I won’t get my money until they receive the title back from the state/bank. I understand the “why” but in the meantime, I am left without a vehicle until all this clears up as I am using the money to put down on my next one. The only reason it isn’t a one-star is because Jonathan (my sales contact) did a great job on his part. It was expedient and he made sure I was able to get back home.
Came here from out of town because transmission fluid was spilling out of our truck going down the interstate. Called this location due to a referral from my hometown location. Ken was the service guy that spent a couple of quick hours on a Friday evening at the last minute trying to expedite our service or find us a loaner vehicle. My wife and had a very good experience with J C Lewis Ford of Statesboro. I requested more information and completed an application of credit on-line. I was provided the information needed on the vehicle, I let Zack (salesman) know that we were on the way to the dealership and the vehicle was sitting out of the rain with the keys in it upon our arrival. The deal was completed that evening. There was an item that the vehicle needed to go into the shop for. Zack got the vehicle into the shop and taken care of first thing the next morning. The finance side of the the dealership was very busy when we returned. The sales staff was very considerate and made the wait as painless as they could. I would recommend Zack if you are looking for your next vehicle.

This dealership is awesome, from my sales rep Brian, his manager Russ, and the finance manager Patrick. This is the first time buying any vehicle sight unseen and these gentlemen made the arms length transaction seemless, and thus never having to leave my house and spend half a day at the dealership. It took two days from start to finish and the truck was delivered to my door from 100 miles away at no charge. The dynamic duo Cleve and Steve helped us tremendously. When we thought all was lost and we would go home without a new car, Steve the GM really saved the day. This was by far the best experience I’ve ever had purchasing a new car. The staff as a whole were great, and my sales representative Tim Humphrey found me exactly what I was looking for. He was there to walk me through every step of the process, and helped make it a simple and fun experience. I took my truck in for an electrical problem. They repaired the electrical problem, but then tried to tell me that my engine was blown up and that I needed a new engine. I drove the truck from my home which is 35 miles south of J.C. Lewis and except for the electrical problem it ran fine. Turns out all the truck needed was a new engine air filter which cost me $24 from an auto parts store instead of the $5000 that J.C. Lewis was going to charge me to replace my engine. I still havent figured this one out.

I went in to just look look at a truck. But Franklin was able to assist me in purchasing a new truck to be exact a 2020 F-150. He was extremely knowledgeable and professional. Purchased a vehicle online from them. Worst idea ever. The sales rep was great initially. When I got the vehicle there was transmission issues and the center console was broken. I was told they would take care of it. They got the transmission taken care of because it fell under warranty and didn’t come out of their pocket. My center console is still broken. This was almost three months ago and now the manager Russ will not call me back after multiple attempts to get in contact with them. I’m more than likely going to pay out of pocket for issues that should have been noticed and fixed prior to selling.
This is Eric Roberson, our experience with Paul at J.C Lewis was awesome. Before we even had our appointment with him he was quick to answer any questions we had by text and email. Something that two other dealerships didnt care to do. And on our appointment day, even though Paul was extremely busy, he still made time to make sure we were taken care of and that all of our questions were answered. And when we were leaving and noticed that our new Mustang may not have gotten the best detail and that is had a couple of small scratches he offered to have us bring it back so they could give it a complete detail and take care of the small scratches. Had a great experience with the staff at JC Lewis Ford Lincoln in Statesboro. It started with my salesperson Tim Humphrey, doing what he said he would do and calling me back. As a local business owner that means alot to me. In todays market vehicles are being traded in and sold in less than a week. He kept his eye out and found me a truck. The management team was very personable and didnt tell me what I HAD to do, they gave me options. Definitely recommend them and will be doing all my future business with them.

However, when I visited J. C. Lewis, I found the vehicle I wanted at a very reasonable price. Franklin and Patrick were awesome to work with. The service department was also amazing. I am now the proud owner of a ruby-red Ford F150 truck!
We have looked for the perfect truck for a long time. One call to Sonny in sales and he gave us several options to choose from. Once we narrowed down the color and options, he was sending us a great deal. He arranged financing and got the truck to us within 24 hours. Everything was ready when we went to pick it up. It’s very frustrating being told on three different occasions your vehicle is ready, when it is not. Just a lack of accurate communication and I always leave frustrated. Not to mention I had to wait two weeks to get my vehicle seen about and then when I get there they ask what’s wrong with it. I figured when I called two weeks ago they would have written that down.
Very nice customer service. He took his time to show us around. Usually, some representatives are dull, but never the case with Mr. Franklin. Great service. I dealt with Tim Humphrey in the purchase of a used 2016 F-150. He went above and beyond to go ahead and get me into the vehicle while we were waiting for my bank to come through. They were very patient overall with the process. Tim answered the phone every time I called. They were not your typical uninformed, just want to push a product, salesmen. If I had a question and they didn’t know the answer, they found somebody who did. Overall, one of the better car buying experiences I’ve had.

We were referred by my father in law to Alex and he helped us so much getting our used 2016 Ford Explorer. He wasn’t pushy, let us choose what we wanted, and was grateful for our consideration. He went above and beyond for us havinng several cars ready by the time we showed up. He helped us weed out what we didn’t want. He was very open and helpful. He even got us $4000 trade in our piece of junk Mitsubishi which was amazingly helpful. We got our warranty’s and checked out with another salesman, I think Shawn? This is the first time I’ve had a good experience at a car dealership and I will be going here again he next time we go car shopping. As a fleet manager of over 100 vehicles I deal with dealerships on a daily basis and chose JC Lewis for my most recent personal vehicle purchase. We bought a nice used explorer limited with a $3k warranty for our family. Less than a year from purchase the sunroof is leaking and soaking the interior of car. 3 calls/voicemails later I am yet to receive a phone call back about our recently purchased vehicle. The only time I did get someone on the phone they told me I should have bought new.You would think going to a Ford dealer for a pre owned Ford vehicle and purchasing extended warranty that they would stand behind the vehicles they sell, But that is clearly not the case here. I must say the sales process was smooth but service dept is an entirely different story. Will be taking my company’s Fleet and personal vehicles elsewhere for sales or service.

From start to finish my purchase of a 2021 Ford Explorer through J.C. Lewis Ford was smooth and easy. I was able to complete most of the process prior to ever going to the dealership which made the final purchase process much quicker. 2022-06-01I want to personally thank JCL Ford Statesboro for helping me make the best purchase. My husband purchased two F150s within the last several years at JCL Statesboro. The first truck was extremely problematic from day one and they eventually bought it back from him. Subsequently, he purchased a brand new F150 and within 40K miles, the engine had to be replaced, as well as many other parts prior to that. Although they did replace the motor without cost to us, they explained that they simply could not and would not give us a loaner vehicle or rental for the TWO AND A HALF TO THREE WEEKS they had the truck. How is someone supposed to work when their vehicle is not available for this amount of time? Why should we bear the cost of a rental when this is THEIR poor craftsmanship. NOT ONCE BUT TWICE. We called corporate... same response. Could not and would not get us a rental car or loaner. Once we had the truck back in our possession, we were told it had a 12k mile warranty. On a lemon. Our solution? We traded both of our Ford Vehicles for Jeep Rubicon and Jeep High Tide. Goodbye Ford.....

I spoke with Walter, the Service Manager and not only did he help me arrange towing service - he and his mechanics did their absolute best to help in a situation that was unexpected. He worked everything out and made the experience the best it could possibly be using technology (like email and text) to help me get everything submitted before I got there which sped up the process a lot! I was able to get everything completed in person on my lunch break! If you need to purchase a vehicle, I highly recommend Alex. I felt the service and attitude from everyone was genuine. The car I drove off with has been a pleasure to drive.
