I was shocked at the utter mess the shoe department was in. Wanted to find. Nice pair of dress shoes, but was not willing to dig through all the boxes everywhere! There was no help!! Pretty much most of the area in that location was the same.I just left and went to Dillards.
Theres a good sale going on .I guess because its Memory Day soon .At the register the cashier seemed annoyed because all the prices werent ringing up correctly and I was questioning that. So I am very sure I annoyed her .Sorry if its a sale and extra I can get off I want that. She ended up helping me get the sales I wanted but I can tell I really annoyed her . I had patience and im thankful she ended up having patience with me as well .I totally hate shopping sometimes.
When I went into the perfume and make-up part of the store the girl that rung me up needs to watch how she talk to the customer, because she made a comment that people credit card be getting denied and I told her I check my money and she said I wasnt trying to imply that I youdidnt have the money to make that purchase I was just saying. I was very offended and started not to make that purchase, but because I love JCPENNEY so much and this was my first bad experience I made the purchase.
The sales person was very understanding of my needs and wanted to be sure I was completely happy.I really was a pain because I asked her to hold my purchase until the friends and family discount went into effect and still get the discount for acquiring an American Express card to get an additional discount on my jewelry purchase.After all that I returned my purchase out of guilt for such a large purchase for myself. Vivian is a true customer service expert. Thank you Vivian for being so helpful!!!
I ordered ONE bra to be delivered to store. Never heard a thing. November 18. December 10, I call 800 number, telling me its in route, been in route for a month. Tells me to call store if I want a refund. Call the store 3 days. Finally get someone who can do it. After speaking to her, she cant put money back onto my card. I can either come to store with card or wait another 20 days to receive a check. Well, Ive waited all this time, I may as well wait for a check another month or so. One department cant work with another. Was waiting to get an email, then I would do shopping at the mall. INCONVENIENT!
I like Penneys for intimate apparel. I usually purchase the same brand panties but only found briefs , hi-cut & bikini styles. I bought hipsters last time & they fit great ! Did not have enough selection of colors for me. Bought 1 pair to make certain I didnt care for the hi- cut. They had to much material for a fuller backside..
I love shopping here for my pants and dresses my only disappointment is that they dont have anything in tall in-store I usually have to order it and have it shipped to the store which is inconvenient when I might need the merchandise in a specific time, spur of the moment.
The customer service lady was wonderful we were looking for Bali bras she was a elderly woman she climb up on that ladder and got those bras didnt complain was very pleasant smiling while doing it we ask her could we get up there she said no thats what Im here for loved her I wish I could get this service every where I go dont remember her name but you all should be glad she works for jcpenney then went to pay for them the lady at the register was very nice she also was so helpful she got me to get a jcpenney card thanks for all the great hospitality I will shop more
Was hard finding a register. I also wanted my son measured for a dress shirt and the lady said we dont do it anymore. I said really and she said because of Covid. I said ok...then she went to measure him with the measuring tape and she had no idea what she was doing. I had to take the tape and train her how to measure a gentleman for a dress shirt..neck size and sleeve length. Please train employees in Mens Department how to fit for a dress shirt lol. Young people grow and need measuring. She learned though...😊
Poorest selection I have yet seen at any JC Pennys, poorly organized and overly cluttered(hangers, trash and merchandise of all sorts clothing etc left sitting on floors, stacked on displayswith merch etc everythingwas out of place or visiblewhere it shouldnot have been)....disarray would putting it mildly. Doesnt look like any cleaning has been done anywhere (since before COVID) from dust and dirty floors to disposed of items and trash on the floors and shoved in corners to hidden in the shelves with merchandise, yet visible to customers as well as associates) Difficult to find any salespersons/associates to ask any questions or gather top rack items out of reach etc, then when you do they arent knowledgeable on that particular thing, the only register clerk in the entire department store (only open regiter too)paged and paged for us an associate who never showed so we eventually gave up and left after the 5th page for assistance. Not at all impressive.
Definitely not much on customer service. Went shopping for pants for my husband no one available to help us find sizes so for an hour I had to run back an forth from one side of the mens department to the other. There were employees but no one offered help. Only one dressing room available which made it harder lugging pants from one end if the department to the other. I worked harder that hour than all three employees in the department. BTW we were the only people there. You think we could have gotten assistance. Customer service no longer exists for this department store. Bring someone with you if you plan to shop so they can get you what you need if you need a different size or style. With good customer service we would not have to spend an hour just to purchase pants.
I truly love this store, just about everyone in this store with the exception of the two unconcerned ladies I encountered today however Annamarie is a young lady that works there and every time I’m in the store I’ll look for her because she has the best customer service I’ve ever seen Kim is 1 of the manager on duty That has awesome customer service managers I’ve countered at that store Carmen is another manager on duty who has amazing customer service. Thanks so much to the Columbus, Ga. JC Penny’s for You guys amazing customer service please continue with it.
The best customer service! I work with Aging Out Foster Youth in Georgia. We had a Dress for Success for our graduating youth. They were so patient with my kids , making sure we had used all deals offered. My youths were able to get at least three outfits . They will look nice for an interview or that 1st day on the job!! SN: If you are reading this,please donate gift cards to your local foster care agency. 🤗🤗 Help them get ready to transition to the workforce...
School clothes shopping time again. Couldnt find jeans that were not skinny jeans again... Its too hot for jeans here anyway... No thin knee high socks. But found tons of other clothes. Unfortunately no large sales currently. We had discount on purchase though. Aisles very crowded with clothes and racks. Fitting rooms clean and not too busy. Just noticed they didnt take anti-theft device off a sports bra we bought today....
This has been my favorite JCP I have been to in some time. I have been to many across the country and this is the most organized, cleanest and best managed one I have seen in ages. I used to work for a JCP many moons ago and although that one was in a high end area it honestly couldnt hold a candle to this one. Items are properly sized so its easy to find what you need. Things are folded and aisles are clear. Fitting rooms are clean and organized. Associates are friendly and helpful. And best of all things are priced and signed properly with clearance being kept on top of. I didnt have high hopes for it the first time I went but I can easily say its the best Ive ever been to. Kudos to the management and associates.
Always a good store to shop for my clothing. Customer Service is ok. I never really need them. There is ample parking space/handicapped. There are plenty of sales all the time. Dressing rooms sometimes have left over clothing. Check out lines can get long usually during a sale.
Couldnt find anyone working floor for questions. Had to wait in centralized cash wrap for help then she had to call someone over due to she was only one working cash register. Not friendly service. When I worked JCP 30 yrs ago this was a good place to shop. Not so much now. Too crowded in clothing with racks too close together and clothing jammed on to racks. Clothing draped all over racks and on floor. Again no one to help clean area up or answer questions. Only place friendly in this store was Sephora. Associate friendly and willing to help. Overall it was a dismal experience.
I am not one to be quick to judge, but, I feel I need to share my opinion of this salon.They are UNPROFESSIONAL and VERY UNORGANIZED!!!!! I had an appointmentat 6:30pm..... I was asked to wait.... and wait....... and wait...... I told the lady at the desk (who was a stylist, but was very busy on her phone being loud and vulger) that I was going to eat and will be in the mall, when the stylist I was waiting for was done to give me a call. I left the mall completely, and was contacted almost 2 hours after my appointment to tell me they were ready to cut my hair. This is unacceptable and I will never again spend one cent at this Salon.
Used my care plan for my watch and they seem to not know when it is coming back in. I was told the 24th and I go by to get it and its not their. The lady says Ill call you tomorrow with the status and guess what no phone call. Followed up today and another lady said she would call and call me tomorrow. When you tell a client your going to do something stay true to your word!
HORRIBLE!!!!! I mean HORRIBLE customer service!!!!! I gave 1 star because of the value of the product but my cashier needed a break OR A NEW JOB NOT WORKING WITH THE PUBLIC! She saw me waiting to check out, took her time to come to the register (like she was saying go to another register), then when she got there --- there was NO GREETING. She asked if I was a rewards customer and I told her I thought I was so I continued to give her my phone number, but she shushed me and said Im not ready yet!. Then she rang me up without a word and gave me my receipt.... NO Thank you... NO Have a nice day.... NOTHING!!!!!! That experience was HORRIBLE AND LEFT A BAD TASTE IN MY MOUTH! I looked for her name on the receipt AND I looked for a name tag because I wanted to report her but she wears no name tag (for OBVIOUS reasons) and her name is not on my receipt --- its blank (AGAIN, FOR OBVIOUS REASONS)!!!!! She is a young African American female wearing a grey A-line, flair dress. She has natural hair tgat was pulled up into a ball up top and loose in the back! I noted everything because Im in the service industry and her behavior was UNACCEPTABLE!!!!
This store (Columbus, Ga) used to be one of the best in town. However, the store has become packed and no professional arrangement of items. You cannot find anything. I would say that only one out five customer attendents are professionals. You can ask for help but the attendant does not know what is in his/her department. The jewelry department is the only one I find to be professional. I used to get all my clothes, linens, everything from Pennys, but no longer. Help them please. There are things I prefer to get from Pennys, but they are either out of stock, cant find it, or dont seem to care about helping me.
Jcpenney was my grandmothers go-to store back in the day and now its my go-to store. It has everything I need and great deals. I keep up with them through my Jcpenney app and texts. Just went today and got some deals for the hubby and I for our trip next week. Keep up the good work!
We recently had to postpone our wedding because of hurricane Michael destroying our hometown of Panama City. We were in the store buying a cheap suit so that my fiance and I can still get Married on the 27th. Emily was the cashier in the mens department, and she was very empathetic to our situation and thanked our families for serving in the military (even though JC Pennys dosent have military discount). She was so sweet, was able to help us find a discount that applied to my items that I had no idea about, and was just a wonderful person to work with.
I was in this store with my fiance, who is also in the Army . I kissed my FIANCE and a lady here had the nerve to come up to me and tell me to stop. Now, let me remind you this wasnt an full on kiss, no. A peck. And this lady came up to us and told me to stop. I dropped all of my things and walked out I have never been so livid in my life. I will not be returning.

2022-01-28Visited this store around 11am on a weekday. I think thats a great time frame. Because it made shopping easier and I could easily sift through items. Wasnt busy and prices seemed ok.
