Jerusalem Bakery & Grill in other cities:
Amazing food and baked goods. My first visit here the cashier gave me a pack of pita bread. And the menu prices ARE expensive, but try the food and you wont regret anything. Delicious! The only reason I dock them stars is due to wait times even when the kitchen is slow. I have 6-7 orders ahead of me called to pickup on a regular basis, sometimes waiting as long as 15-20 minutes for a sandwich.
Courteous staff even during a rush. Food never disappoints and servings are large with an abundance of garnish / topping (even when doing delivery). One note - baklava serving size a bit small (about a 1x2inch slice and you get 2) but it is delicious and so still worth it
I was craving some of my childhood favorites for my bday and found this gem. The food is very well prepared, tasty, fresh and with a family feeling. Great space to enjoy your meal, relaxed environment, very friendly crew, delicious and freshly made deserts. I even bought some items from their little market. You wont go wrong with this restaurant and will be back like we will with more family and friends to enjoy.
Just moved from downtown Los Angeles, we have a very competitive Mediterranean food scene and this place does not disappoint! My two kids loved it as well and they are very picky eaters. Yes the price may seem a little on the high side but it is matched by the quality.
Service and food are absolutely amazing its so hard NOT to eat here every day especially when it is only five minutes away from my home!!! I love that its attached to a small store where I can pick up authentic food, dessert and organic groceries too!! 10 out of 10 for me!!!!
A little disappointing, considering the rave reviews found online. Food was edible, but the portions were weirdly imbalanced. About a cup and a half of rice. Probably one -tablespoon- each of hummus, baba ganous, etc. I enjoyed the falafel, but it wasnt a standout. If you like your pitas fluffy, you might enjoy theirs.
Yesterday I went there and ordered beef and chicken wrap Shawarma . it was the most nastiest sandwich I ever had. This location is the worst location compared to the one on Alpharrta . The beef Shawarma had big lamb of nasty fat it was full of nasty fat smelled horrible and, the chicken does not even a smell like a chicken it was like a boil meat with some vegetables. I will never go there again
Food is good. plenty of parking. disappointing that the food doesnt come out together. my friend had his food for 20 min (not exaggerated) before me, on the same ticket. They also forgot the spicy sauce. Their Marietta location is FAR superior. Lots more baked goods and better service.
I am so angry at how good this place is. Like its so good, it makes me angry that other restaurants are not as good.I have been to Israel, and I have tried true falafel. It needs to be soft, dense, and tender on the inside, but well cooked on the outside. It needs to be full of flavor and NEVER dry. This brought me back to those ancient walls. They did it.
Oh my goodness is this place good or what?!! We did a plate with a little bit of everything on it and it was fabulous. The chicken was moist and so was the lamb. Everything was so flavorful and delicious. We felt we got a great deal for the money. We ate inside and the dining area was really nicely set up. Food came out hot and fresh. What I really liked about the food was it felt homemade and family recipes. Added bonus was that it was close to North Fulton hospital. Highly recommended!!!
I always have a great experience when coming to this location. The food remains consistently good and the service is always outstanding. Today, the girl who works the register and phone, Chloe, did such a great job at making my party feel welcomed and was super helpful. Thank you to Chloe and the rest of the kitchen staff!
Excellent food. The place in North Fulton for halal Mediterranean food. We love the spicy chicken kebab served with humus and salad. Another favorite is crispy freshly prepared falafel. Delicious. The staff is friendly and helpful if you need support in deciding what to eat. Highly recommended
A generous three star review for nice location, atmosphere and staff.Food is just caferteria style and not very good with some authentic attempt. The hummus is very good as is pita bread.Spinach pies are a good choice. Prices are somewhat high for Cafeteria food and baklava is overpriced. You may want to try the grocery at the same location for Middle East style spices, yogurts, produce. In short, you may give Jerusalem Bakery a try, it is likely a healthier choice that the fast food venues that are all around us and making us sick.
Undoubtedly the best hummus you will find anywhere outside of Jerusalem. Very authentic food and freshness is noticeable and delicious. I have had take-out, as well as optioned for dining-in over 5 times in the past year and the food is very consistent in its quality. The items can be pricier than you expect, however the prices are appropriate considering the amount off food you get in an order as well as its freshness and authenticity.
This place is straight out of heaven! Brings back so many memories from my time in the Middle East. One of the few places that serve Manakeesh (Zaatar/Cheese/Meat) in addition to the usual shawarma/falafel sandwiches, kebabs, salads, kebab plates. They have authentic and plentiful toppings (onions, tomatoes, parsley, pickles, pickled turnips, red cabbage) and sauces (tahini, garlic, spicy) for your sandwiches, and everything tastes so fresh and amazing! The staff is fantastic and welcoming too.Make sure you also try their Turkish coffee and their sweets (many Baklavas, Harisa etc.)!This location also has a beautiful patio and lots of spaced out, covid-safe seating!10/10 would recommend!
Will definitely revisit the Alpharetta location. The Marietta location is also fabulous. The restaurants are very clean & the decor is beautiful (down to the bathrooms). The food is perfectly seasoned & its simply delicious. If you love authentic Mediterranean food, this restaurant is a Must Try. The meat is tender, juicy, full of flavor, but not over-seasoned. I ordered the beef shawarma platter & everything included in the platter was perfect! The attached grocery is also clean, well organized, and lots of options.
I went there for dinner and ordered the beef and chicken wrap Shawerma , the hummus , and falafel plate.First the service was ok, the Shawerma is nothing but chicken and beef wraps ,its the worst one ever!!As for the hummus its really have no taste at all!!The falafel was ok.The food are overpriced if you compare it to others !!Unfortunately it was a bad experience
Food was good but the pictures dont match the description of the food. Make sure to ask questions about what your getting.$25 97 for 2 sandwiches, no sides, and 2 drinks. The picture shows the sandwich combo comes with sides but apparently you have to offer separate. SMH
Although I liked the food, I found the service extremely lacking. Despite ordering before my friend, I didnt receive my meal until 15 minutes after her because they decided to prepare to go meals with the same order instead of mine. They need to hire more help because this is a consistent treatment no matter what you order. If you have no time schedule, then its fine, but if not, avoid.
Super friendly owners and staff. Excellent, fresh, high quality food and baked goods. Generous portions. Attached bakery (sometimes amazing warm pita will be coming out - if you are lucky! ;-)) and grocery with hard to find items. Spotlessly clean. The night I stopped in was their second night open. The manager worked to get me online and even brought me a hot, sweet tea - unsolicited and so delicious! - to warm me up as the rain was coming down. I had a delicious mixed kabob plate and took home a hot, crusty sandwich for my son. He said it was fantastic and has since asked to go back. This is a very worthy follow up to their exceedingly solid Alpharetta location. I am excited to have one more Jerusalem Bakery to visit! Go (plenty of room to eat at a safe distance at least for now) and eat well! Enjoy!
Stay away from their pre-packed nuts, I bought 4 different kinds of nuts, 3 of them were not fresh and 1 of them was including live worms inside the package, I realized this when I back home. I have already sent an email to the market, however they did not even reply.
I love going to Jerusalem Bakery and Grill, they have super delicious food and the quality is superb. And the great thing about it that they cook behind a glass wall and you can see how clean and professionally cook your meal. I always order a lot more than I can eat, but I take the rest in a take away container. This is the 3rd location they opened and is the closest one to my house. The one on Delck Road is only 7 minutes away from my office and is the first and the main location. No one get disappointed with their food and reasonably priced. I have been going there for so many years.
From out of town. Stopped in for lunch today. Everything we had was amazing. I had the chicken swarma wrap and baba ganoush, hubby has falafel wrap with fries. They forgot to make the fries, ended up getting them and they accidently made a second serving thinking we never got the order and so we got the extra. I tried the falafel and it was the best falafel Ive ever had. The food was $23 and we decided to get a tray of baklava, that was $17, it was THE BEST baklava Ive ever had and my grandmother is a chef and makes homemade baklava (yes I just said it was better than my grandmothers!)
Im giving this place 5 stars solely because of the woman at the cash register. Shes very nice. They also have really good Turkish delights. My friends got the Falafel Sandwich. It looked good. My Chicken Shawarma Sandwich was not good. The fries were meh. The hummus was also not good.
I have been wanting to try this location since i became aware of it and i am glad i did. The layout is nice and it is easy to order. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food just as good as the other location i used to visit from a prior workplace. I can only say that everyone should try it!
Very good and authentic Mediterranean food option. Used to go to the one in Marietta and this newer location is just as good. Has an attached market as well to buy various Mediterranean groceries and food items. My go-tos are the lamb shank plate or lamb kabob plate...top notch. However, everything Ive tried here is good so you cant go wrong.
The food was really good and we all loved the Jerusalem or Palestine Platter. The only issue I had was that they are a self-service restaurant which means that you have to get up time and again to get your food and silverware. I would recommend to either hire more staff in order to serve the customers at their tables or just train the current staff to serve the customers at their tables.
Five stars across the board. The lamb shank is so delicious, falls off the bone. We always order at least one lamb shank, a chicken shwarma plate, and a side of hummus to take home. The bread is fresh and so delicious, the rice is fragrant and filling, and of course the meals are delicious. I keep seeing the baklava when I come in, but I always stop at Michoacan next door to get ice cream for dessert. Delicious and totally worth it. You get so much food, and it is just so tasty. The hummus and baba ghanoush is probably some of the best I have had in Atlanta.
The food is AMAZING! The customer service is EXCELLENT! For those complaining about the customer service, I don’t know why you would do such a thing!!! The skinny lady in the front is really sweet and the guys in the back are great!! PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT RESTAURANTS ARE SHORT STAFFED ALL OVER THE COUNTRY!! Be patient, kind and considerate!
Very disappointed, Ive been plenty of times on their Marietta location which have the best shawarma in the city. Decided to try this location as Im closer to Roswell now. It is not even close as good as their Marietta location, the bread is very thick and dry, the beef is as dry as it gets, sauce has no flavor and the price is the same for less quantity. Very disappointing, wont give it a second chance.
Jerusalem Bakery & Grill is top notch. Great middle eastern food that is the best I have every had. Service is excellant. Everyone is friendly and helpful. They have a great selection of different baklava, some made there others from other bakeries. Can go wrong here. I love this place!! AAAAA+++++
Caveat—the cashier at the restaurant was extremely nice and helpful and the food was good. This rating is more for the fact that the market area sells almost 1/3 of their products from companies that manufacture in illegal settlements in Palestine (ie Sadaf and Jordan River). Very disappointed by that. Happy to change my review if their supply changes.
Although this the restaurant is pleasing to the eye the food has a dry and bland quality that ruins the dining experience. Overall the food is not bad but it doesn’t taste like anything. The best thing I ate here was the soft naan/pita bread that they gave us in the side.
Placed catering order over the phone and paid in full as well. But when I went to pickup, they said theres no order in their system at all! They simply told me to go somewhere else. The skinny lady at the counter is the MEANEST person on earth. The bearded guy who claims to be the catering manger is NO LESS MEAN than her either!
The Best Place in The World !! The Whole staff in the Store and Grill are incredible , they make you feel at home, the food is from HEAVEN !!!. The Prices are extremely WORTHY, for such delicious home made cooking ! The Store have outstanding products. Jerusalem Grill & Bakery-Store is best place for Multicultural interactions, food, friendship with a Family Atmosphere. God bless you guys !!! and I hope you can open in every city in the United States !!
Amazingly fresh food, bakery, and grocery. JBG’s newest spot is clean and really nice inside. Do yourself a favor and go family style on the feast items! Get a taste for everything. Also if you didn’t already know, JBG’s bread is made fresh in house and it’s also sent all over the city to other Mediterranean restaurants. Get a pack to take home and you won’t be sorry.
Food is decent and the restaurant and store are nice. I am giving 1 star because of the service. The guys behind the line are rude and nasty EVERY single time I am there! They have zero customer service skills and always seem annoyed. Somebody needs to tell them to have a better attitude! Wont be back!
This place is amazing. Very friendly staff, explained the different items and offered a sample before I purchased my meal.I purchased the veggie plate $12.99+ tax.It is plentiful with a variety of deliciousness.I will make this a FAVORITE location on my food goodies list.
This is my new favorite restaurant. The food from the restaurant:Their hummus is among the best I’ve had — super creamy. The falafel sandwich is excellent — I like it so much I don’t know if I’ll order anything else moving forward. My husband enjoys the kufta sandwich and — like a couple of the other reviewers on here — he dips his fries in the pale orange-colored sauce. The bakery:It is so nice to be able to find a place that does homemade baking to such high standards as Jerusalem Bakery does: I know we can purchase high-quality baked treats here, but they are different from the pies and cakes I would normally bake for my husband, or they are things I would not be able to make as well. For example, homemade baklava. This place does it and does it well, because my husband now gets the walnut baklava every time we come here and talks about how it is the best baklava he has had anywhere. The thing we both really like are the ... and I hope I am spelling this the right way ... the ka’ak. They have two varieties (vanilla, and anise), and they come in rather large bags (we portion them out in smaller bags and put some in the freezer). I usually don’t eat dessert, because I don’t eat many sweets. But I like these — they are just sweet enough without being *too* sweet. And they are perfect with tea. There’s an added bonus about this bakery: if you are lucky enough to time your visit when something is baking, it smells phenomenal. :-)Oh, and you should check out the market next-door, as well: this is the only place in the area (I even looked at the Buford and Dekalb Farmer’s Markets) I have been able to find sumac, so points to this market for their selection of spices. The last thing I have to say about this place is that the people working there are very kind and helpful. I really hope this place will be successful, because to me they are doing everything right.
The food is very good, but for the second time I told them that the quality of meat is very little, but they didn’t care about me, so I advise all customers to go to the other branch in the Alpharetta because they are much betterThis is the last time that I go to Roswell
Stopped in for lunch today. Absolutely awesome. Had the mixed shawarma plate, and everything on the plate was absolutely delicious (chicken and beef shawarma, hummus, baba ghanouj, tabouli, Jerusalem salad, rice). Theyre a full-fledged bakery as well, and their pita bread is other worldly. Also picked up a box of mixed baklava... incredible.Ive been to the JB location on Old Milton Pkwy a few times, and was really excited when I drove by and noticed the new location the other day, just down the street from my office. Definitely planning to make this a regular lunch spot.
Out of the 3 Jerusalem bakeries, I found the one in Marietta the best. This review is for the roswell center. Not sure if the item I chose (kufta sandwich) was not according to my taste or just that it was made badly. The sandwich felt very bland without the right spices or ingredients. Also the cashier was not even wearing his mask while i noticed that others were wearing a mask. Goes to show his attitude.
I had a horrible service here, My advice stay away from this place low quality products, high prices, disrespectful serviceLeft my bad review a month ago and seems like they deleted itI went there had a small order and they kept me waiting for a hour, had to ask for my money back and leave a bad review, it was not a busy day I saw no reason for keeping me starving out there, horrible rude stuff and UNPROFESSIONAL MANAGEMENT

2022-04-30SPACIOUS & DELICIOUS! This is the best Jerusalem Bakery location. Great big interiors with well-spaced chairs. It’s a nice space to sit down and enjoy a meal. The food was solid value for the money. The platter can usually feed 1.5 people so order accordingly. The sandwich is just the right amount of food for most people. Ask for some sauces as it can get a bit dry to eat otherwise. The Kufta kebab is much better than the chicken for the platters (chicken can be a bit dry). The baklava is excellent. The market is not the best stocked but does have many middle eastern essentials. The zaatar pie is a great buy for a snack or a light meal.

2021-11-12Beautiful and spacious restaurant. I loved that the desserts were out for display. The ease of ordering on the kiosk was a bonus. The food was good but I wasn’t a huge fan of their lentil soup. The hummus is probably one of the best I’ve tried! Definitely worth trying!

2021-12-21Great middle eastern grocery store and baked goods selection! The restaurant portion looked great but I didn’t get to try.
