Had an 11am appointment for an oil change and tire rotate. I checked in just before 11. My truck pulled out at 11:18 for service. The on-line price was 89 dollars. After waiting over three hours, my truck was finally ready. What a surprise I was hit for $122. For the oil change and tire rotation. The advisor apologized and offered me a car wash.No thanks!3hrs for an oil change, what!I will not return for any more service on my vehicles.
I have never left a dealership so happy and not just because I got into a vehicle I had my mind on but the customer service with the entire team was phenomenal.Javon is hands down the best sales I have ever had the pleasure to work with. He has a lifetime customer with me.
I will be forever grateful for the Service manager Sean Garrett and service associate Kovoki Lott. I would recommend Jim Ellis GMC and these two men especially for everything they did today. Mr. Garrett and Mr. Lott went above and beyond to help me out with an issue that they were able to get taken care of when no one else seemed to help or care elsewhere and they easily found the problem and had it fixed. 5/5!!!
Could not ask for a better experience. FromInitial contact to closing the deal. My wife purchase a Volvo and I purchased a GM Truck and will honestly say Jim Ellis has earned our life long business. I cannot say enough about Morris and the entire team.If you want a pleasant vehicle buying experience, at least stop by Jim Ellis and see what vehicle buying should look like.
Had gone in for Warranty repair. I sat there for 2 hours for them to say they need to order the part, I wait a week for the part, go in 2nd time only to find out they ordered the wrong part & they said correct part would be there next day so I left my car overnight (wasnt too happy about that). I did get a call before noon 🙂 the next day my car was ready. Overall I really wasnt impressed/happy with service dept
Drew Pederson was the service tech that worked to get my Denali Acadia 2012 .repaired. We took it in for an a/c not cooling issue and an engine oil leak. He did a 21 point check and found we had a bad axel. All were handled very well with with our third party warranty company and GMC warranty. He was friendly, polite, and efficient.
Rt front fender was scratched (below paint surface) while getting trim replaced and covered up with touch up paint and dirty hand prints. For the cost of a premium truck, better care should be taken during repairs. And if mistakes happen it should be repaired back to way it was prior to service repairs.
Merisa Zejnic was so helpful and amazing. We looked at several dealerships and cars and she helped us decide on our new car at GMC. She was very knowledgeable and super nice. She did not rush us or try to get us to buy something we did not like. Thank you so much Merisa, we love our new GMC! I will recommend Merisa to friends and family when looking for a new car.
The service department will rip you off. They charge $175/ hr for labor and will overcharge your for labor hours and parts. They said I needed a new engine and estimated cost $9300. It may have needed a new engine, but I found an honest mechanic to do it fir $6300. $3000 LESS! Do not service your car here!
Friendly service, smart services, expert service. Jim Ellis GMC handles my Pontiac, GMC, AND Cadillac vehicles. This location makes it easy for me. The techs on hand understand all the nuances of the 6.2L and LS V8 engines. The service writers are great at communication.
I bought a 2019 Z71 Silverado and after I got home drove with windows down and backs brakes making noise. I also noticed surface rust on the under carriage. I was very happy the way Shelton and Perry addressed my concerns. They were committed to making sure I was happy with my truck. Shelton even offered to let me re select another vehicle or repair the damage and Perry gave me a Tahoe to test drive while truck being repaired. At the end of the day I decided to keep my truck. They repaired the brakes on same day and offered to undercoat the under carriage but I decided wasn’t that bad and in all fairness is a used truck. After pressure washing under and minor repair it is all good. Thank you Shelton and Perry for handling this professionally and taking my concerns seriously!!
Thank You Jim Ellis Mall of Georgia!I was there on 8/3/22 for an oil change on my SUV.Ed Barnes was my service advisor and helped me right on time!. The oil change took one and a half hours. It was the right time! for I was short on time.I am very satisfied and happy with all your staff and service on attention to detail that I get every time I visit the dealership.I recommend this Dealership, highly!Keep up the good work guys!!! 🚙
After telling me it would be one to one and a half hour for my oil to be changed (with an appointment) I waited nearly 3 hrs. After getting my car back, it’s supposed to be vacuumed inside. Well it was half done. Never once did they lift the floor mat to get under that. When I said something to someone, they said “well it’s a free service”Actually it’s not, we pay for that to be done. The sticker was not out on the window for the next oil change. Nor was it reset.
The service department and writer, Drew are awesome!! It took a couple of days for my Tahoe to be diagnosed and serviced. During that time I was kept informed on the progress and it was completed on time! Drew is honest and kind, helping me prioritize the most important needs, along with a plan to get everything completed in a reasonable time frame. The mechanics left my vehicle as if no one else had been in it...seats, steering wheel and mirrors just as they were, and clean! I wont go to another dealership for service!!
Bret Rudow was my contact. I had ordered a truck and he called me because a truck came available and it was going to be a little longer to get mine. Bret was very professional and very handsome. Really pretty eyes that you could get lost in. After seeing him I told him I would take it.
Was very disappointed with my visit. I have always been kept up to date with all of my service needs and expenses. I felt blind sided walking in thinking I was getting an oil change for a little over $100 and walking out with services that cost right at $300. Normally when you make your appointment you are told what service your car needs at that time. I should have been more aware I suppose but WOW!! My service advisor was NOT there that day I might add!!
For sales, I recommend Mike Hatcher, but service department is the pits! They have a real problem with scheduling and time management! I don’t even think they know the meaning. When scheduling an oil change, receptionist told us it should be 45 minutes to an hour. When I got there, I was told immediately to expect and hour and a half. I asked why the time doubled? No explanation other than receptionist shouldn’t be giving out times. I told them going I. I had a child that had to be picked up at a certain time and had to be out by a certain time. Well, an hour and a half passed, no update, no anything. I went to question, and was told they had emailed for update. Sat 15 more minutes, no update. I went back and asked again and was told asst manager was checking on. It had been 2 hours at this point for a simple oil change. After another 15 minutes, I went back and told them I had to have my car or one of their cars to pick up my child. The manager asked if there was a problem and I told him there was. I explained the above scenario to him and also the following….besides myself, there were two other women, sharing that when their husbands bring in the car for service, the wait times are much shorter. My husband never has to wait, but the three or four times I’ve been, I’ve been there from 2 1/2 to nearly four hours. I asked the manager did they give men preferential treatment, because it certainly appeared to me as if they did! Another lady asked that same day, if you can go to an oil change place, they can change oil in 30 minutes or less, yet at Jim Ellis it takes 2 1/2 hours? My grandsons n who was with me said “ Gramma, as much oil as they are putting I. Your car, it will last 100 years”. Even the grumpy old man chucked at that. In listening to conversations during my morning, I’m not sure you are going in for simply an oil change….even though that is what you WANT. I think they take your car back there and try and go over it with a fine tooth comb, and try to find something else wrong, so they can make additional sales. I don’t think there was anybody who just was presented their keys to leave without them wanting to do something else to their car. One lady who told them she was going through cancer and chemo, they still kept asking her well aren’t you sure you don’t at least do one or two of these things? Ridiculous! They did want me to leave without talking to me however, because I complained! The waiting room heard me complain. Two ladies gave me kudos for speaking up! They let me leave with a nail in my tire. I had a child with me, they knew I had somewhere I needed to be to pick up a second child, yet they did nothing except hand me a sheet of paper and tell me I was ready to go and then they texted my husband telling him I had I nail in my tire and said to let them know if we wanted them to make the repair. If I would’ve had a flat after leaving there….I just can’t believe the level of customer service. The guys in the front are out there laughing and cutting up, eating their breakfast, when they should be concentrating of customers! This wasn’t an isolated incident, has happened before. It isn’t because of Covid, happened before then with prior vehicle. One late afternoon appointment, The majority of the service technicians went home (we were told by manager it was time for their shift to be over), yet the room was full of people waiting on their vehicles to be serviced. Why offer late evening appointments when you don’t have adequate staff? We were there 3 1/2 hours that night. I missed a personal appointment that I had to pay a fee….I asked would Jim Ellis cover that and they laughed at me. Service department needs new leadership or something or I am not going to be able to refer people there to buy a vehicle!
Had my truck worked on and it was great last week. Then they told me a code was showing up. I made an appointment for when the diesel mechanic was in. I sat for two hours and then I was told I had to leave it over night. Didnt tell me that when I made the appointment. So it didnt get fixed.
Its my pleasure to write a review for the team at Jim Ellis GMC MoG. Sean Garrett and the service team do a great job ensuring their customers are taken care of. Id like to personally endorse Sean as he went above and beyond helping me with an accessory installed on my vehicle. While although that particular accessory is on backorder, and we had a little hiccup on inventory availability at the time of my appointment, I am chalking that up as a system error, and no fault of the service team at Jim Ellis GMC MoG. Trust is a customer service number one value, and I believe the service team strives to earn their customers trust.
I love my Buick Encore GX. Hugh White was my salesperson almost one year ago. Just had it in for oil change and tire rotation. Ed Barnes was my service analyst. Everyone at this dealership is professional, courteous, and helpful. Very happy with my purchase and service. A+++
Received a 8 page list of things that must be done ASAP, none of which is needed . Went in for a simple oil change 2 hours after my appointment time it was ready along with a tire rotation that never happened I marked the wheels and they were in the same spot as when it was taken in . Very disappointed.
Richard Nourie was an excellent salesman! He diligently worked to find exactly the vehicle we wanted. It was such a pleasure to see and work with him again. Our family has purchased multiple vehicles from Richard and he never disappoints! Excellent asset to Jim Ellis!
I had an AMAZING experience here at Jim Ellis. I found them online and called about this truck. From the moment I had spoke to the lady on the phone (apologies I cant remember her name) she listened and was on top of things quick. She was extremely kind and worked with me closely through my application process. My sales representative was Micheal Taylor. He went above and beyond of what I expected. Truly a genuine and down to earth person, very knowledgeable of the vehicle, and patient. Before driving off the lot, Mike took the time to thoroughly explain all the vehicles features and answered all my questions.Finance department legitimately went above and beyond!!! Tony, was so good to me. He really cares and did absolutely everything he could. I would recommend this dealership to all my friends and family. Special thank you to Jim Ellis GMC. I am a proud owner of a BEAUTIFUL lifted up 2020 LT Silverado. I get so many compliments! Thank you for helping me get my dream truck and most importantly thank you so much for your kindness.
I had a great experience purchasing a 2018 Toyota Highlander from Jim Ellis Buick/GMC Mall of Georgia. I first called to check the availability of the car I saw online. Jim Shultz answered and confirmed the car was on the lot (so far so good-always call to check to see if the car is there!). An hour later my wife and I arrived at the dealership and were impressed right away. Jim Shultz, our salesman, was exceptionally kind and laid back, the complete opposite of a pushy salesperson. We loved the car and went back to the office to talk numbers. Again, the purchasing process was incredibly simple. No haggling, no frustration, and we came to a number that was what we wanted. Sam, the manager was gracious to us and made the negotiation fun and lite. Tony, the finance manager was also incredibly easy to work with. We were in and out in a short amount of time with a car that is more than we could have every wanted. Thank you Jim, Sam, and Tony for making the entire process a great one. Go see them!
Just wanted to say THANK YOU!! Service advisor Kovonki Lott helped me out so much in regards to his knowledge about my vehicle. I had a slight issue with my truck and Mr. Lott provided great customer service from start to finish… He had the issue handled promptly with new parts to replace the problem, answered my warranty questions in great detail based on concerns I had, as well as making me feel at home during the process… Moments like these make buying vehicles from Jim Ellis EASY!!! I like to acknowledge when someone goes over and beyond when it comes to taking care of me!! I appreciate it and again, THANK YOU!!
Buying a car can be difficult, so I ask for referrals and ended up at the Mall of GA Buick GMC - An hour from my home. Fred L was great a salesman, understanding what I wanted and made it happen. Then, when I needed a warranty battery replacement, the Service Dept check for its availability while on the phone, set my appointment for the date and time I needed. The staff and Service guys were excellent and I was completed within the time promised. Thank you for your professionalism/
I took over 3 hours for an oil change and to look at an issue I had. I am not really complaining about the time because I could have gotten a ride if I really needed to. What I am really upset about is the price I paid. I was told that an oil change on a diesel vehicle cost more so I paid 150.00 for it. I was also told that is cost 50.00 to top off my diesel fluid. (I have never owned a diesel before so I had no idea)I was telling my friend about it and she drives a diesel GMC Acadia and she said her GMC dealer does not charge extra for a diesel oil change and that they told her she could just top off her diesel fluid by buying a bottle at AutoZone for 20.00.So I spent TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS to get my oil changed which is RIDICULOUS. I will not be returning.
Great service. Jorge proactively kept me informed of the completion timeframe. Truck needed new shocks which had to be ordered and instead of me having to call to get any updates Jorge called daily to keep me posted on progress. No one likes being without their vehicle for very long but the quick phone call to reiterate that it’s being worked on makes a world of difference.
I took my car in for a few thing I needed checked out. And the car was dropped off that morning around 9am and I had to call them at 4:45pm to find out that my vehicle hadn’t been touched. I understand that people are sick and you’re are backed up, but it doesn’t take much to communicate to me that this is the situation and how do you want to move forward!! I feel like if I didn’t call then I would’ve gotten a call about my car. Just poor customer service..
Just plan to spend 3 hours there for a simple oil change. I had a schedule appointment AND arrived 15 minutes early. I work 60 hours a week so my time off is very valuable. I was there for 3 HOURS! When scheduling, I specifically asked how long the appointment would take and I was told about an hour. HUH! I could and would have made arrangements if they were truthful. Also, they raised their prices ($97) and took away the complimentary car wash with the oil change...….. Ummmm, ok.....
Brought in my 2008 GMC Sierra 2500HD for a check engine light. Turned out to be a simple glow plug. Part came in that afternoon and the tech stayed over to repair my truck. Got a call early the next morning it was ready and was I ever pleasingly surprised. Great service from the repair crew and got my truck back in action very quickly.
We had the pleasure of working with Ed Barnes of Buick GMC of Mall of Georgia on routine maintenance on my Tahoe. He was an absolute joy. He kept me up to date and saw everything through to the finish, up to walking me out to my vehicle to ensure it was all clean and ready to go. Thanks, Ed!! Tom & Ashley Chapman
Had my Buick Enclave there 6 times for a check engine light, which had a fault code for a transmission problem. Every time they say there is no code stored and can not find anything wrong with the transmission. Last time I brought it there made sure the codes where still in the computer. Great they found them and said I needed to make an appointment for it to get taken care of. They couldn’t make the appointment had to call for one, this was the first flag.Made the appointment for the work. Dropped the car off after 2 day’s with them no code in the transmission and all the paper work with the code from the last visit have gone missing.just another line of bs from them , they are the worst dealership. Will find another dealership to bring the car to when this happens again.
This was the best car buying experience I have EVER had! I worked with Jovan as my salesman and he is the best! He made sure that I was comfortable with my purchase ever step of the way. Jovan, Sami and Jasmine thank you for great customer service. I highly recommend them and Jim Ellis GMC of Buford to anyone looking to buy. Thank you for the service and my new car!!!
I went in (with an appointment) for an oil change/tire rotation and sat in the lobby for 2 hours before someone came in and told me that the service department was closed and everyone had gone home. It took several angry phone calls to get my car back. Worst customer service EVER!!!!!
Update - What started off great, ended terribly. Had an issue with a brand new vehicle (rear seat was stuck in down position). Asked to have it looked at when I got my oil changed - they told me it needed a new part, which wasnt available. Long long story short - after dealing with managers and service agent, who offered no solution, I took it to another dealership. The same day they had solved the issue (it wasnt the part issue - was a simple fix that any tech would have known of if they simply looked at my vehicle). I wouldnt trust the technicians at this dealership with any of my vehicles after this incident. A complete disaster. Management wasnt any better.Had a great experience getting my car serviced here. Jorge Banos was very helpful and great at communicating. He noticed there was an open recall and arranged to have that fixed while the vehicle was in for service. When car was ready, I had a prompt message from Jorge communicating that to me. I was highly impressed from start to finish (only issue was in initially scheduling through online portal - I will call service center directly next time). Great customer service from all involved!
I always buy my cars from Jim Ellis Chevy and Jim Ellis GMC . I always use their service dept. Have always had great service at this dealership but I was very disappointed on my last 2 service visits It looks like everything changed for the worst from wait time to customer service. You may Have lost a very loyal Chevy and GMC Customer.
Just had a fantastic experience with this dealership. I had a 2020 F150 that I sold to them and the entire process start to finish was only 30-45 minutes total. James in sales was pleasure to deal with as well as Harrison in the buying department. They gave me a very fair price with their first offer. No need to haggle. Just all around great experience. Highly recommend this dealership.
OK my daughter who lives in florida was shopping for a car for a few weeks. Not a great experience. UNTIL WE FOUND A CAR @ JIM ELLIS BUICK GMC Mall of Georgia !&!FRED LOVETTE as they sayU GOTTA LOVETTE. he was perfectas well as Janette? finance/paperwork and the receptionist lady was so welcomingwe were looking over several hundred mile radius to find the right car & PRICE. The cheesy sales guys at the OTHER dealerships were really insulting to my daughter leading her to believe they could shave some money off the dealer fee or the price of the car WELL they didnt and couldnt. Their price for the exact car (ours did have 22000 miles not 16000miles) 18500.00 ALL IN the price at Jim Ellis was 16641.00 ALL IN nearly 2000 more for the same Cruze Premier edition I highly recommend FRED U GOTTA LOVE IT LOVETTE
If possible I would leave negative stars! The service I received from Jim Ellis Buick GMC Mall of Georgia was absolutely horrible! After owning multiple GMC trucks I will never buy another vehicle from this company! As explained by GMC, the 2019 Sierra Denali has a faulty seal component in which the dealership does not notify the customer to repair in advance or during warranty. However once the part goes bad and cause residual damage its the customers responsibility to pay for everything ($3200). GMC has acknowledged they do not alert customers of this defect but wait for the part to fail.
Worst service center EVER. If I could give zero stars I would. They were completely incompetent to understand what was going on with my vehicle.First they made an appointment for one day, but were not able to work on my vehicle until the next day due to other cars- no one bothered to call me to let me know this. I was not informed until I called late in the afternoon on the day of the appointment.Second- they service representative could not understand what the issue was with my vehicle- it only needed some bolts replaced and tightened- then told me the service tech saw where the bolts were missing. On the next call, they were all there. Then proceeded to call me at least 4-5 more times- each time with slightly different information- until ultimately, I picked my vehicle up with them not fixing anything because I lost all confidence in their ability. But not before they tried to upsell me on over $600 worth of other work that wasnt needed.I have had poor experienced before with this dealership from sales to service- none of them actually care about their customers. I tried to take my vehicle to another dealership, but due to the extended warranty purchased, this is the only place that can work on it unless I move over 40 miles from their dealership.
Communication appears to be poor at Jim Ellis. I waited a few weeks for a part. No one ever called me from the service department to say that the part had arrived. Then my daughter was waiting at the dealership to get the repairs done. They called me to say the repair was done when she was in the waiting room.
We had a great experience at Jim Ellis Buick GMC Mall of GA. Steve Eason, our salesperson, clearly took the time to know the features of our chosen vehicle before he took us for a test drive. That was much appreciated and helpful! Tony Benitez, the finance manager, was very kind and helpful as well! Overall, great experience.
I would have given Jim Ellis a 5 because they do good work. However, I chose 4 (almost chose 3) because it took 2 hours from the time we dropped off our car until it was ready. We saw several people come and go after us that were there for maybe 30 to 40 minutes. We had an appointment so we didnt just drive in with no warning. It shouldnt take this long to get your oil changed, tires rotated and fluids checked and do an inspection.
Mike assisted us with excellent customer service. He greeted us with a smile and a hello as soon as we walked in. He showed empathy with us while we explained the maintenance we needed on our vehicle. Mike also gave us a few issues we needed to have repaired on our car before we left. We have been a customer to the Mall of Ga Jim Ellis for about ten years, and we appreciate the customer service Mike offered us.
First day i took my 2021 GMC Sierra 3500hd with 10k miles in with the Lane departure not working. And also had a oil leak. They took it back to the shop while i waited. Pulled it back around and said it was a setting issue, that it was fixed. I got in my truck and it still wasnt working and the service adviser said the Technician couldnt find the leak. They kept my truck and ended up replacing a damaged forward camera which fixed the lane departure issue. But, they still couldnt find the oil leak. So, did them a favor and showed them where the leak was coming from. As, I am a Automotive technician also and manage a shop also. After showing them where the leak was, they said it didnt leak any more. I could come pick it up. I get there to pick it up....... And was told they found the leak ,which was EXACTLY WHERE I SHOWED THEM IT WAS!!!!! After repairs were done, I went to pick up my truck and GREASE and OIL was ALL over my hood, door handles and center console. ALSO MY FRONT BUMPER WAS SCRATCHED where the technician had been standing on it work on the oil leak!!!! I AM VERY DISSATISFIED with the TECHNICIAN at this dealership!!! The service adviser Ms. Kori was more than helpful through the whole ordeal!!!!!!! As I was informed that my 1 star rating goes against the advisor who helped me. As I said before she was more than helpful. But, the techs who work on my truck and their superiors need a LONG MEETING with the owner about cleanliness and quality of work!!!
Our issues started at the Jim Ellis Collision Center when there was a problem with the sunroof though that was not the reason for the car being at the collision center. They had another Jim Ellis dealership fix the sunroof but it was not fixed. The GMC dealership by the Mall fixed the problem but then the sunroof leaked the next time it rained. This dealership fixed this as well and was very helpful. But since picking it up the car has smelled like cigarette smoke. The dealership picked the car up again and tried to fix the smell but it did not work. The car still smells like cigarettes.
Edited: Diagnosis took a while but I can’t blame them for being short handed in 2021. Repairs were completed as promised. Service advisor Jorge and service manager Sean were very helpful. I felt some vibration after the service, and I returned for the manager to take a test drive and determined it was normal. Hard to find this level of customer service nowadays - I’m very appreciative of the team at Jim Ellis.
I have been coming to this dealership for 4 years for vehicle maintenance after purchasing my car here. This last visit was frustrating for me. The purpose of my visit was for an oil change on my 2017 Yukon. I was waiting for the visit. After an hour and a half they came out to tell me my brakes needed changed to which I agreed. He told me it would be another hour to hour and a half for this process and I complied. After an additional two hours I went to check on the vehicle. (Now I have been at the dealership for 3 1/2 hours.) The gentleman checking me out was having trouble calling down to the maintenance garage. Upon connection he said they were bringing my car up. It took another 30 minutes for the car to get pulled around and when I got my bill it was almost $120 MORE than what I was initially told. After some back-and-forth with the associate, which he easily wrote down, I got it for about $40 less. I was appreciative, but this was unacceptable on a few levels. Number one they should have explained to me more thoroughly the charges up front. After some back-and-forth with the associate, which he easily wrote down, I got it for about $40 less. I was appreciative, but this was unacceptable on a few levels. Number one - they should have explained to me more thoroughly the charges upfront and then there would’ve been less confusion. Number two - I was there for almost 4 1/2 hours when I only anticipated 3 1/2. I had three children I need to pick up from school that day and I was late picking them up on top of all of that. (The additional time spent of “pulling the car around” and figuring out the bill was the a no-go.)
What an amazing experience! I am the new owner of a 2020 Yukon Denali and i couldnt be any happier. I first worked with a young lady by the name of Andrea, who had the vehicle pulled up and ready for me to look at. She answered all my questions and even provided me with a mask and gloves. She then introduced me to Ben who was very knowledgeable and experienced. The Pricing was more than fair and even had the GM Jason Dowdy come out and introduce himself (Tall glass of Milk i might add). He thanked me for my business and gave me his card in case i had more questions!! Love my truck and would definitely give these guys 100 stars!!!!
The customer service person seemed nice. But the service took longer than expected. (while waiting) They also said they would wash the truck but it never happened. The radio station was changed when I received it back. Makes me wonder want did they do or not do while they had it.
We have bought cars from Jim Ellis for years and always been satisfied. The last 2 from Mike Hatcher. Mike always goes above and beyond to make us happy. As long as I drive I intend on dealing with Jim Ellis if at all possible. My history with Jim Ellis goes back to 1983 and quality has always been there focus.
I had a good experience with Jim Ellis Buick GMC in Buford Georgia service department. Ed Barnes was good in communicating with me the status of my vehicle repairs and maintenance. He set me up with a rental vehicle to not miss work and was easy and friendly to work with.
WOW! Thats what I have to say about this dealership. Im 48 and have NEVER had such a wonderful car buying experience. My sales guy Richard and my finance guy Ken went above and beyond the call of duty for FABULOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE. The entire dealership treated us like we were royalty and accommodated us in every way possible. MR. ELLIS has definitely done a fabulous job with his employees and these guys deserve a BIG HIGH 5!!
Everyone was nice and accommodating the dayof the actual sale. The only issue that I have is that i purchased the car and they told my son to come back the next Thursday to have his second key made and when he got there no preparation had been made and we didnt get the second key that was promised! Not only that they are a little over an hour ride from us so it was a waste of time, gas, and effort. It ruined the experience.
James and Jasmine were absolutely incredible to work with. I bought my 2021 Denali over the phone, after finding the vehicle online and they delivered it to me. This was the smoothest car buying experience I have ever had. Would definitely buy from this dealership again! Wonderful experience with top notch customer service!
This is the 4th Jim Ellis dealership that I have purchased from in the last 24 months and the experience just seems to get better and better. The staff is professional, knowledgeable, and dedicated to providing top-notch customer service. Jason and his team my transaction seamless and painless.
Working with your maintenance issues on your vehicle can be a little trying but Jim Ellis and Ed Barnes, Service Consultant, have an automated system that takes a bit of emotion out of the experience and leaves you feeling informed and confident with the entire team of Jim Ellis!
I bought a Terrain Denali form Jim Ellis in 2013. I had regular service at Hardman GMC in Gainesville, with the last oil change at 96,369 miles. The check engine oil light came on at 100, 342 miles, just after driving 3973 miles after the last oil change. Service at Hardman GMC changed oil, added a restorer, ordered sensors, replaced them, delaying diagnosis for a month, all the while telling me it was ok to drive if I checked the oil. Now it needs a new engine. Jim Ellis is trying to get GM to honor the warranty. I havent had any response from Jim Ellis service, except for an offer to pay 10% of an engine. I will continue to post, hopefully with GMC doing the right thing. A car engine should last longer than 100,342 miles.
Jim Ellis at the Mall of Georgia had my Buick Enclave for 11 days putting a new timing chain on. When I got it back the speaker to the radio wasnt working. I took it back the following day and they shrugged their shoulders and said they didnt know why. It has always worked without issue and after picking it up its not working. They must have disconnected a wire. I drove it home and the following day the speakers began working. Its apparent there is a wire not making full connection as it works off and on. I dropped it off at Jim Ellis a 2nd time asking them to please check the wires. After 2 days they called saying it was ready for pick up. A day after picking it up, the radio speaker wasnt working again. Now, just 3 weeks later the Check Engine light is on. Not happy!!!
We worked with Steve Eason and had a great experience. He was thoughtful about the test drive and made sure we got to do interstate and street driving. They replaced the brakes, battery, tires, air filters, and more. Plus they topped off all of the fluid. Even filled up the tank. It took us less than two hours to drive and purchase the vehicle. Great experience.
Fred and Sammy were the best sales team that I’ve ever worked with buying a car. No high pressure sales gimmicks just very pleasant, no BS approach. They worked to get the deal done fast and efficient. Jasmine was great to work with on the paperwork to complete the deal.
My vehicle purchase experience was outstanding. My salesman, Tom Lyden, was thorough and supportive, but absolutely no pressure. He allowed me to make my decision on my time table. The complete process was very time sensitive. Vehicle was ready for pick up promptly and everything promised was performed.
Fast, efficient and truthful. Best experience ever. I hear often of the Jim Ellis experience and I was skeptical but I am a believer now. Great customer service, the financial service (Tony) did great. I did not have to argue for hours. In and out, first time in my life it was so fast! Thank you guys, my next vehicle is a Q5 and I will wait until I find the one at Jim Ellis.
They assisted me with purchasing a truck that I drove 2 hours to go buy. The staff was super supportive, they offered me plenty of drinks and food while waiting to work out a deal. The manager named Sammy and the salesman named Fred were awesome folks and I definitely will be sending them people their way to purchase a vehicle from them. I will also intend to purchase my next vehicle from them in the future!
I spent hours on the phone with OnStar and my phone company trying to resolve an issue with my new vehicle connecting to wifi while connected to Android auto. I decided to call the dealer to have them try to resolve the issue. After explaining the issue in detail over the phone and in person, I drove 45 minutes to the dealership and waiting 2 hours for my vehicle to be serviced. The issue was not resolved. After explaining the issue (once again) and that it was not resolved, I was told for the 1st TIME that the issue was not even an issue that could be resolved. It was simply an impossibility for the wifi to be accessible while connected to Android auto. What a waste of time.
Everyone at Jim Ellis @ The Mall of Ga has been courteous, kind and very helpful. They give you a honest answer to time and cost for repairs. They also didn’t hard sell me on my truck when I was looking to purchase. They know vehicles are a big purchase. It is a pleasure to do business with them. - Elle
Exceptional 5 star customer service! Everyone I dealt with was so professional and concerned about providing the ultimate level of satisfaction. I had a minor glitch in my initial dealings, and then all the pros...Jason, the General Manager himself, Sean and Jeff collectively came to assist me, and went way above my expectations to exceed my expectations. For them to be so concerned about my satisfaction was amazing. I will never be able to thank them enough. The work they did on my vehicle was flawless. Definefitly recommend you do business with Jim Ellis over any other dealer, they will not disappoint you.
The manager Sammy and salesman Perry are top notch incredible people!! They listened to all of our needs and made it happen for us very quickly!! These people treat their customers like royalty! I saw it all around me. Also beautiful place and waiting room...I just cant say enough about this dealership and the men and women that work there. I love my car!!! Thank you Sammy!!!
We brought the car in because we are hearing a knocking sound in the interior. The staff did their best to hear and locate the problem, spending a. lot of time on the issue, We appreciated the effort spent on trying to diagnose the problem. Unfortunately, the noise could not be replicated or located. We we told to bring the car back if the problem persists, which is ok with us.
Cant say enough good things about this dealership. Jovan and Perry were great. Bought a new car that I am very satisfied with in record time. If you want a good price while dealing with great people without spending all day at a dealership this is your place. Thanks again Chuck .
Chris Stout always takes excellent care of me!! He’s always pleasant and courteous. He makes me feel welcome. He addresses my concerns and makes sure all of my issues are addressed. He communicates well, always making sure my appointment is set and keeping me informed on the status of my truck. I am very happy with the service I’ve received from him and Jim Ellis GMC at Mall of Georgia. I recommend them to all of my friends.
The service representative listened to me about my concerns. He also paid attention to my suggestion and fulfilled it. I really appreciate that. From the the start before I purchased my vehicle I liked the way that my sales person also dealt with me. I know that this survey is about my last visit but I just had to put about my very first contact with the dealership. Thanks very much, keep up the good work.😊

2022-07-08The salesman was respectful, knowledgeable, genuine and helpful. The finance manager and his associate were outstanding I have bought all of my cars for the past thirty years from another dealership.I was looking for a place where I would have a new home for future car purchases both for my son and my self. I definitely got what I was looking for and then some. At this time I feel you have a customer for life.I thank everyone for taking such good care of me and going the extra mile. A great team to work with. Everyone worked together to accomplish what I needed.

2022-06-29Richard made the buying experience great! I was very happy with how he handled everything. He did everything the way I would have hoped. My major complaint is they had to do a credit pull at the dealership even though I brought in a cashiers check from my credit union for the total amount due. That really put a damper on an otherwise outstanding transaction. But if you’re financing there and are looking for a GMC, look up Richard Nourie and give him a call. Outstanding service!

2022-06-13Jim Ellis Mall of GA service department does a really good job with their appointments. They always do the best they can to complete the service before the estimated time. My service advisor Drew provides good updates and even guards my garage door opener every time I leave it in the rental or loaner. Everyone else on staff is super friendly and helpful. Keep it up!

2022-05-18Arrived on time at 9:30 for a “free oil change” and tire rotation. I was told it would take 1.5 hours. The service person came back and recommend a few other procedures. “It wouldn’t take more than another hour”. I left the dealer ship at 1:30 and they tried to charge me for the “free oil change”. I would not have posted this had I not had the same experience before. When I call to find out how long it would take to install a receiver on my vehicle, I was told it would take 1.5 hours. It took more than 4.5 hours. I will not be visiting this dealer again. My recommendation is leave your vehicle for service. Don’t expect repairs in a timely manner.

We were sent by O’Riely’s to your dealership for help.Your service department is top notch. James your service rider was so helpful. He worked us in. He was very kind, courteous and professional. He found also our battery cables needed replacing. All work was done in timely manner. We were able to get on the road and feel safe and confident we would get back to Texas without worry.Thank you.

2022-08-17As a vehicle transport driver this is by far one of the easiest in and out load/unload dealerships. There is a side street on the other side of Volvo (two dealerships share a parking lot). That street leads back to a huge gravel lot. The guy who checks everything in, he is very quick to get you in an out. Really appreciate dealerships that cater to the big trucks

2022-07-23Horrible horrible experience!!! Had my car towed into the shop where my car would not start and I needed to get the car and fobs redone in order to work. Company would not give me a loaner when I did not have a ride there, had to get run out for three days then went and picked up the car came home and as soon as I got out the door both new keys they gave me would not lock or unlock my car. Brought the car back to Jim Ellis told me I needed to come back again and bring both keys which I did. Brought car in on Wednesday had service assistance call me the following Monday and tell me they were too busy to look at my car over the weekend so they were getting to it then. Then tried to charge me an additional $315 after charging me $641 the first time when they didn’t even fix the car . After my car was there for almost a week n a half. I asked them to please give me a discount on an oil change due to the service and having to bring back the car multiple times and the communication that was never consistent on letting me know the car was done. The manager was very upset and told me that the oil change would be 89 $.95 he was giving me a loaner car during this time which cost him $45 a day. I then had to remind him that if the car was done the correct way the first time they charged me every $600 I wouldn’t had to come back with a part two more times and then actually have one of their assistance try to ask me for more money which he said he did me a favor by warranting. Horrible horrible experience and terrible service. Will never go back here

2022-08-02It took as long as they said. My driver side floor mat was getting dirty, and your guys took care of that too. Also, because it was a new 2022 and my first oil change and tire rotation, plus the multi-inspection. I happily didnt have to pay a dime. :-)JOHN G.

2022-07-12When I have to wait for 2 and 1/2 hours for an oil change with an appointment it isn’t worth the money I paid in advance for 6 oil changes. I could have go to 5 min oil change and been done in 5 minutes and my time would have been worth the cost. Ridiculous to go to Jim Ellis GMC at mall of Ga.
