My son and I have our own table in the corner and we have our favorite waitress, Po, wait on us twice a week.Tonight we closed the place down. :)
Come here at least once a week for lunch and I’m never disappointed. Service and food are always great here. One of the best burgers in the area and check the specials on the board when entering, there’s some great deals on there. I’ve included some food porn pics from today’s special-grilled lobster tail with a salad and one side for $20.
Love this place! It has been a staple go-to at least once or twice a week since Covid. The food is routinely great. Service is awesome! They have a fantastic wine selection that’s reasonably priced. We run into people we know all the time.
Went here yesterday for lunch for my friends birthday. We sat outside, it was a beautiful day, the environment was fun and busy. The foods being brought out smelled Delisious! I ordered the grilled chicken sanwhich, which surprisgly was two large pieces of chicken rather than just one. I loved it . My friend had the meatball marinara sub, he loved his lunch very much as well! Thank You Jo!
I brought a friend and told her they have amazing hamburgers. She was really surprised that they were so good.Been eating here since they opened. Theyre looking a bit worn out on the inside but the food is always great!
This place is a neighborhood Restaurant. We always go there because my aunt loves it.They are very friendly and fast service. Also, I love their Cheeseburger. Consistent and tasty.
The only thing that was ok was the wings. I got Jo’s burger and my husband got the chicken and Mac n cheese. Nothing was seasoned. Everything was bland. The burger was chewy.The service was good.But the food needs improvement.
I definitely paid for what I got!! The wings were really not the good! Lacking in flavor. I ended up just eating the fries! However the waitress was friendly!
Consistently good food at reasonable prices! Friendly staff and a funky, quirky home vibe. Those of us who grew up in Brookhaven remember this as the old Majik Mart convenience store.
Big menu, lots of choices, nice patio out front, right next to a city park, clean inside, clean bathrooms. Very good food. Maui wowie sandwich was very good, homemade chips and Fries were also really good. Nice neighborhood place.Very nice staff. Highly recommend!

I randomly found Jo’s and decided why not. I went in and was ordering to go and as I waited the owner came and spoke with me and really made me feel welcomed. I watched as he continued to speak with other patrons and his presence really made the atmosphere feel comfortable. I ordered a burger and i swear I think that was the best burger I’ve had in my life. Definitely recommend and will be coming back!
This drink is called the volcano. You need to try it. Its made for 2. The food here is awesome. Highly recommended!!!

Some of the best food I’ve had in a while and amazing prices (especially for the Brookhaven area). The fried calamari is excellent and prepared in a very different way than I’ve ever had. Wings were crispy and delicious. The cheeseburger was sooooooo good.Best way to describe is an excellent backyard burger.Best French fries I’ve ever had.Portion sizes are amazing. Can’t wait to try more food here soon! Loved my first experience!
Old building, loud kitchen noise and jthe hum of the frigs strains the ears. The people working shout chinese at each other doesnt help. BUT, do not let any of that put you off. The food is 5 star all the way.
Love this place. Great value neighborhood restaurant. Most of the entres are simply solid food. Nothing that will blow you away but consistently good. Burger / wings / sandwiches are safe bets. Fries are fire. Stay away from the appetizers, Ive tried almost all of them and not sure what the deal is but they have all mostly disappointed. Cheap beer for the area. Service is hit or miss depending which person you get. Dog friendly patio and they will bring a water bowl to you.

Enjoyed first time visit, small quaint accommodations felt very welcoming and festive for the holiday season. We enjoyed calamari for an appetizer, made sightly different than usual, long sections not cut into rings smothered in marinara. Taste delicious but wished the portion was larger, not much for two people. The gyro and salmon burger were delicious, loved the seasoned fries. Glad we finally made this stop on our daily commute.

It was pretty good. My wifes entree, a salmon sandwich, was quite tasty. I ordered Jos chicken macaroni and cheese. It was okay, but it wasnt what I hoped. I prefer traditional mac and cheese with a sharp cheddar and baked in the oven. The chicken was good. This was made with a somewhat bland cheese sauce. It wasnt awful, but it didnt have as much flavour as I would have liked.

Only in town for the week and ordered a pretty big selection of apps and entrees. The staff was super friendly and even helped me carry the 6 bags of food to my vehicle. With great food and top tier service, I would definitely recommend to anyone.
It’s high time I’ve made a review after coming here for 5+ years. I’ve never sent a single thing back. The burger and fries are on par. I literally drive 30 minutes to come here for them. I have ordered many other things and always am extremely satisfied. The guy here can make an awesome Mai Tai too!
Been here a few times for lunch and have always enjoyed it. Staff is also quick and kind. I always seem to see some locals at the bar chatting it up to, which is always a good sign. Great neighborhood spot.
Every time I go to Jos they are friendly and the service/food are great. Their quater pound burger is plenty of burger. Its always cooked perfectly to my request, medium if you were curious. The one time Ive had a problem with my order they took care of it promptly and correctly. I will continue to eat here and would recommend the place.
The service was good and the food presentation was ok , but the food didn’t taste good.
Its a nice local spot, and the service is always great. Ive had some mediocre dishes here, but the wings are what keep me coming back. The Howards special hot wings are amazing! In my opinion, the best wings in Brookhaven (definitely better than Wing Ranch and Taco Mac!)
The service and adherence to safety was outstanding. Their appetizers are almost a meal. No, this is comfort food, not fine dining. We sat and visited on the patio for a couple of hours and were not rushed. Worth tipping for tying up a table.
1st time visit with a co-worker who strongly suggested this place & thier Jos Burger with Cheese and side of fries was perfect. I will revisit here many more times!
I dont write reviews, but this experience required comment. Jos is just not good. We went here once 9 years ago because we had heard the food was good. It was not. Since its in the neighborhood and its always packed we gave them another chance last weekend. I just dont understand the high reviews... the food tastes like it came in a bag frozen and even for that it was not good. Everyone at our table had the same reaction. Maybe their booze is cheep???I have pretty low standards as to what is minimally acceptable, but this place doesnt even make that cut. Location is everything and I guess thats why people continue to go here, but for my money Ill go somewhere else.Good locationNice serversUnacceptable food (even for free)
Nice place. Good atmosphere. Our burgers were undercooked by one notch (medium was medium rare) and medium well was medium. Take that into account when ordering. We will go back but probably wont get burgers.
Good food at a good price. Jos is a local favorite that offers a wide menu from wings to fresh fish and anything in between. Ive enjoyed their cheese steak many times and theyve always got 420 on tap plus a cooler full of imported and domestic beers to choose from. Pricing is fair for the location and the service is always great.
I am Stack fanatic and love trying different restaurant in a different areas. this place was amazing through walking in to the end of the time we where leaving. most amazing meat really fresh and well done. I really couldnt say much more about it. you should give the a try and figure it out yourselves.

Simple food but lots of options. Have yet to have a bad experience at Jos. Hamburgers are always good on a cheat day, the fries are nothing special but they are more crispy than usual and we both love that. Hamburger steak better than most as well! Always, always greeted with a warm smile and attentive staff!

Its Jos Grill for many years, often once a week before a meeting. It was busy for s Thursday night. Howard and Josephine are the owners. Howard was going table to table greeting many steady customers and strangers checking that theyre enjoying their meal.The food is basically grill food. High quality. Go big and try the triple kabobs if youre hungry though or share them. Steak, chicken, and pork. Excellent wine list as well!
They have one of the best burgers you will find around town. Good food with good service. Never had a bad meal and always the best burgers. You definately get your money worth. I will go out of my way to get one of these burgers. The Trout is good too.
Howard and Jo are fantastic! Food is great! We had mozzarella sticks, wings with Howard’s special hot sauce, and the Western burger. Everything was delicious! Wish I had tried this place sooner!
I have had several different entrées at Jos. Wings, burgers, salmon sandwich. My favorite is the fish tacos! You get 2 huge soft fish tacos with special sauce. Excellent every time i get them. I have had them at least 12-15 times now. Service is very good, the ladies check up on you every few minutes for refills.
Came here for first time with my beautiful girlfriend. Shes the best! But anyways the food was amazing. She got the shrimp kabobs and I got the lemon pepper wings. Were def coming back
Horrible service. Burger was brought out rare. I requested it medium well. The cut up burger I had sent back was brought back to me, cut up with a slice of cheese on it, still raw. When I tried to address this with the server she literally walked off mid sentence with my credit card. Very upset.
I love it!!! Not the first time Ive enjoyed eating 😋 there. It was just very special to go back after Covid 19 has made us all more careful!!! It was super good food and great service!!!
We have come to Jo’s Grill for the past 5 years. Their food is really good and the atmosphere is just perfect to spend some time with family and friends. I like they have tennis playing on their TVs all the time.

Call ahead of you have a big group. The dining room is quite small. We had to sit outside and it was freezing; when we asked for the fans to be turned off, the waitress said she didnt know how and didnt follow up with someone who did. My wings were only half covered in sauce and quite dry.
Stopped in having some time to kill. Great variety on menu. Sat right down and decided on burger. Half pound was cooked to perfection with a side of crispy fries. Perfect! I would go out of my way to come back.

Just moved to the neighborhood and was told the food here was great, very accurate. Food and service were great and what a friendly crowd. If youre looking for good comfort food as well as company, this is your place.
Service was really slow. took about 20 minutes to get the order taken. I got the fish tacos and they were bland, but my girlfriends fajita was good she said. We both ended up sick the night we ate there. Were not going back.
Great wings and Philly cheesesteak. Gyro is above average especially considering it’s not a Greek place. Fries are really good. Service is spectacular. Great neighborhood feel.
Sadly the service has gone down. We came in at 6pm and although there were 2 tables open outside they refused to sit us and then ignored us. We walked out feeling so unwelcomed.
Joe’s is our “GoTo” restaurant. Great food & good service at reasonable prices. It is truly an atmosphere where you feel you can relax.
Weve been frequenters of Jos Grille for probably close to 10 years. We love it. Howard and Jo are so friendly, and they treat us like family. Howard has even cooked up a chefs special for our daughter.The menu is great! For years I ate the salmon filet sandwich almost every time I went in. My husband loves the Jos burger, the pork chop, the Maui Waui Chicken sandwich and the Western Burger. Lately, weve ordered the daily specials and so far the lobster tail & steak combination was our favorite. The fish specials are always good.We eat at Jos at least once a month if not more. Will keep coming back!
Terrific burgers, the steak salad is very good too. Be aware that the calamari is large pieces, not the fried rings most other restaurants serve. Very friendly staff, too.

This is a neighborhood gem that serves one of the best burgers in town.Jos is a small restaurant hidden away at the corner of Johnson Ferry and Ashford Dunwoody. Youll often find Jo herself working. This is one of the best lunch spots around if you work at either Perimeter or on Pill Hill. But dont tell too many folks as it already gets a bit crowded at lunchtime.They serve a wonderful burger, but give the rest of the menu a good look as well. Looking for something healthy? Try any of their salads or a pita.A couple of tips... If going at lunch, try to get in there before 11:45 or so, it can get crowded by noon. If the parking in front of the restaurant is full, park next door on the lot above the baseball field. If youre going to be in a hurry, ask for the check when the food comes. They can get backed up and a little slow. Worth the wait though.
A great place for good comfort food, with a sports bar. Think of it as a sort of Cheers, where everybody knows your name.
Absolutley love this local joint. Food is top notch and their people are always nice. One of my families favorite spots to go during the week and weekend. Also right next to Blackburn park.
Parking is sparse here, although perhaps that can be expected given the location. The menu, which offered six different items, seemed promising. I had the poke and oysters as an appetizer, prime rib as a main and cheesecake as a dessert.
I love this place. I find the quesadilla, Rusty’s Dog, fish taco, and Jo’s famous chicken wings extremely tasty. Yeah, Ive been a few times. Always a good time. Parking is just out front and available.
Get the Maui Waui sandwich and grilled veggies! Simple menu but with fresh ingredients and good service. I have never been disappointed with the food at Jos Grill - food is classic, all-American kind of stuff (like an Applebees or something) but the food is so much fresher and cooked so well. My chicken sandwich is always just right and I love the fresh veggies with the grill marks. Yum.

Im here, picking up food, owner extremely rude, demanding payment before food is ready, talking rudely and canceling the order because my one card declined, was getting impatient for payment even before he cooked the food. The food is good, but I would never come back because of very bad service.

2021-07-28A neighborhood gem. Food and service are always 5 stars. I love their burgers, chicken fingers, chicken caesar pita, salads, fries, and onion rings (theyre beer battered!). Parking is decent; theres an overflow lot to the side. Limited patio seating and ample indoor seating. This is a great place to visit year round, especially during the colder months- they have a fireplace.

2022-08-29Visiting with a friend and my kid from out of town. No high chairs for children. Salad barely had toppings just a bowl of lettuce, up charge for literally everything. Our chicken wings were both fried extremely hard. The waiter told us to try the wings with our sauce on the side which we did as recommended the sauce on the side was basically a bowl of oil. Upon leaving we both decided not to tip due to horrible service and horrible food and were approached by another waiter talking very loudly in the restaurant why you not leave tip this is how she makes her livelihood never in my life had such a horrible experience. To top it off as we are leaving a lady comes in with her dog and is given a restaurant bowl with water in it. Wouldnt recommend and definitely wont ever go back.

2022-07-18I wish I could leave no stars. The service was awful!!!! My boyfriend and I were racially profiled and werent greeted and when we were finally acknowledged the waitress (whom was a different race than us) had a rather unpleasant demeanor towards us. She threw the menus down and made a snarky remark that shed be back after a while, only to quickly move to the next table with white customers with a completely different attitude and happy personality. We got up and left right that second. This place is terrible. I wouldnt recommend to my worst enemy.

2022-08-04Service was ok. Staff were pleasant enough. I had a steak salad, asked for the steak to be medium rare and it was well done instead of as well as under seasoned. I had a margarita which was ok. Due to the sweet and sour mix used, completely forgettable. My daughter had a chili dog, which was ok, again nothing memorable.

2019-09-12I would rate 4.5 stars if I could; real close to loving it. Great burger with just the right flavor. The grilled veggies are hearty and cooked just the right way. Great place to hang out with a small group of friends. Jo’s is always filled with people but not too crowded or loud at all.
