This place USED to be good. Not so much anymore. Please tell me how I asked for no Mayo, the girl who took my order repeated my order with no mayo and I get my food with what looks like extra Mayo?!? I have worked in the service industry for years.....no Mayo is a pretty simple request.
Absolutely TERRIBLE service. Went to pick up two Uber eats orders and the lady at the front desk with shaved hair who plans on partaking a career in childcare, gives me one order and tells me the other will be no more than 5 mins. I have no problem waiting. So I wait inside since it’s only 5 mins correct? Not even 30 seconds later she walks to the kitchen and proceeded to tell her coworker how I need to “go sit in my car and wait and stop staring at her” because she will “sit down and give it to me when she feels” I was on my phone the entire time. Just trying to do my job like her. There was no need for the rude commentary. Was excited for a new wing spot but will not be returning.
This place is so disgusting, the wings taste like burnt oil and I had Ranch Wings!! It was a powder season.. who makes ranch wings with a dry rub!!!!??? Half of the wings had no seasoning and they charge $30 dollars for horrible 20 wings and a small drink!! First time trying it… never again save your money !!!!!
Yes I’m writing another reviewCheck your employees who work thereName DeannaWrong name I looked at the receipt wrong but I will never go back here again because of how my boyfriend and I got treated and she deserves to be fired. Honest mistake look at the receipt wrongThey need to be FIRED. Look at last review for details whyRead last review for details why
This was my first time visiting this location in Tucker. I ordered you dirty birds wings and they were AMAZING. I wish I wouldve gotten them with more sauce but Ill make sure I ask next time. Otherwise I ordered the food to go it took about 15 minutes to come out and it was nice and hot
Food prices have been jacked up. Was originally told that it was going to be a twenty minute wait, so I came after twenty minutes. I get there and pay and I’m told it’s gonna be a fifteen minute wait. Confused as to why I was told twenty, when they really meant forty. I would’ve come later to avoid sitting. The restaurant was mostly empty so it was a bit frustrating watching them chat while sitting there hungry with no word on the food. Nice staff, though.
I visited this location for the first time and last time on yesterday. I understand businesses are trying to recoup money from the pandemic, but these prices are ridiculous. I paid $19.09 for 10 wings, fries, and a drink. I asked if they split flavors for wings and she said yes. Never said it was a $1.00 to split. Then Im charged an automatic 7% gratuity fee for a to go order. What service am I tipping for?
I have tried this restaurant twice and each time the orders have not come out correct. the server writes and says it right and repeat it... but somehow the translation to the cook doesnt add up... we have sent our food back every time. they also dont have a variety for vegetarian or vegan options... but the drinks are good
For the price of $30.57 yall wings are horrible and dry two 10 piece wings and that was my first time ever eating there and its my last time eating there also where is the lemon pepper it tastes like regular fried dry chicken with no taste and the dirty bird taste like a dry Bird and the cashier was arguing with the staff in front of the people that was in the place
Be ware of this restaurant. I have been a customer of their downtown location for about 20 years. The waitstaff here has twice added a mandatory tip, and then let me double tip them. Also, the wings were not fully cooked. I have never had a problem in the downtown location, but it seems their standards are slipping.
Original post: Ordered via Uber Eats but did not get what I ordered. Refused to refund/replace without returning item. Wont be taking the chance in the future with their terrible service.Follow-up to owner: The utmost respect would have been fixing the problem over the phone as I asked your manager to do, not forcing your customer to drive to your restaurant to get an order fixed your own staff admitted was incorrectly done. You could still make it right by providing a refund or discount as most respectable restaurants do in situations like this even when they straighten the order out. After all, your failures wasted my time when all I asked for was a refund for food I did not want to eat because it wasn’t what I ordered. You know there is no buttton on Uber Eats to request swimming and that it clearly says that the restaurant will alter pricing for special requests. You simply failed if you think that you have acceptable customer service. I see based on numerous comments that I’m not alone, and I’d recommend some introspection rather than acting like your response that blames me somehow demonstrates anything but my very point about your poor service. Finally, I did not throw my food at the manager. I threw it onto the bar because I was quite frustrated as I sure many others would have been. Luckily, I can get JR Crickets excellent wings at one of the many other locations in town that treat their customers better.
Poor customer service smh. I arrived at 10:32 and they close at 11. The waitress made sure to let me know that. But that’s cool, I get it. But then they offered a limited menu, but I only wanted wings so I thought that was all good. They told me 10 mins. It’s now 11:00pm and I’m still waiting , no “sorry for the wait” or anything like that.
My patience and faith in God was tested at this restaurant tonight. The disrespect and absolutely horrible service at this place tonight is the worst Ive had my whole life. I love jr crickets and have always gone to this location or midtown. Today I called to do a pickup order and the guy kept putting me on hold and forgetting I was there. After the 3rd call I was able to place my order and he answered like he forgot I was on the other line. I get my order placed for a 30 piece no fries, he confirms it back with me and says 20 minutes. I am driving with my dog as I am going to a family members house. I get there 30 minutes after since it was a 30 minute drive for me and he said did you already place and order and I said yes for Nana he said was it Nadia i said no. He flipped through the booklet and walked in the back. He said he didnt have an order with my name but was if a 30 piece or 20. I said 30 he responded and said we only have 20 and would have to make another 10. I explained my dog was in the car and it was frustrating having to call 3x and the order still be wrong. He said are you over 21. I said yes but I dont want a drink I just want the food and to leave. I dont want the 20. He says hold on Im gonna see what I can do and goes in the back. I call to see if the other person I was ordering still wants the food they do. He comes back I said can I just get the 20 is fine I need to go and he said oh they already put sauce on it for another order. I was really trying to keep calm and he says Ill see if she can add a discount. I assume she is a manager because no way shes the owner and no way she needs a job there. The walls are thin! All I hear is Ill go out there and talk to her you know how these people be. He said no no I got her order wrong and she said yea but either she wants the food or she doesnt. You dont need to feel the need to add a discount to help them. At this point I mentally have to pray because the ratchetness and boldness through a door was amazing to me. He comes out we now have 6 people waiting and if Im lying I hope the owner watches the cameras, he didnt help or ask any of them what they needed. He told one lady he order was ready and went back to continue to gossip with the heavy set lady in the back with red nails. The customer asks did they need to put anything else in the bag to the nice order guy there. When the same tall guy with piercings comes out I was telling my friend what the lady said about you know how these people be and they told me to leave. I was debating on whether my love for Jr crickets was worth all this. Then he goes to the back again and all I hear from the lady is I dont care I I give a damn etc etc. This is the most unprofessional display Ive ever experienced and I really hope this locations gets rid of the ex popeyes employees and get more workers and definitely a higher standard on customer service.
Had a great experience dining in at jr crickets, they were very covid-19 and had shields up between the booths to ensure us customers were social distancing, the server was very nice and welcoming. The food was a huge part of my enjoyment at this establishment, the wings and shrimp were perfect not too crispy and not too soft. Overall had a great experience at jr crickets.
The wait for our food was pretty long, but the waiter who served us was very professional and friendly, which to me, makes up for the wait. The food itself was decent. I had the club sandwich and it was terrific, just a little too much mayo for me. My daughter had wings and they were good, but being the wing lover she is, they werent the best shes had. All in all, it was a good experience with decent food. A good place to stop in for lunch. Im sure well come back or order in from this location time to time.
Customer service was excellent 5 star would recomend any day just based off customer service, but the food not so much. The burger and fries were good. The wings were so overcooked I thru half the order away. Maybe just caught it on a bad day, still overall not worth $41.
I would have given them no stars. This was my first visit. The catfish and onion rings were so salty I ended up throwing the food out (after spending $30). The Turkey burger I ordered was a frozen patty that I could have gotten from Kroger (gave it to my furry babies to eat). I had heard so much about this place. I was more than disappointed. The prices online differ from the prices in the establishment. Never again.
From 5/28/21. Ive tried to stop here multiple times during and post pandemic. Their posted online hours are incorrect but to add insult to injury Ive arrived multiple times during their pandemic hours to find them closed. Tonight was the last straw. Arrived on a Friday night st 11:43pm and doors are locked. You can hear voices partying inside. Pandemic hours say they close at 12:30. Google says they close at 1:00am. Moving my 2 star review from 4 years ago to 1 star because google wont let me go to ZERO.From 4 years ago... We went on opening night and was not impressed. We ordered food to go and I had a Makers rocks while I waited. The Makers was a single, severely under-poured, and cost $9!!! The food wasnt great, fries were over cooked and the chicken was also dry but smothered in a tasty sauce which helped. In general it was overpriced. $45 with small tip on a single shot drink, 10 piece, and 20 piece wings to go is just WAY too much.If you want chicken go to Fork In the Road in Northlake mall for much better tasting food and huge portion sizes. Otherwise Kobe House for sushi and hibachi on the other side of the Plaza is a great option. Either are a MUCH better value.I will give them another chance after theyve been open for awhile (and update my review accordingly) but for now they have a lot to work on....
One of, if not the best place for wings in Atlanta. Lemon pepper wet, flats only, side of fries, garlic cream sauce - do it and dont look back. I ventured away once in the many times that Ive been there and was pleasantly surprised by the size and taste of their ribs. Beer selection is lacking, but they have a full bar. Staff and customers are very nice and friendly. Its a great place to hear about other great places in Atlanta
I dont recommend this location for wings! The wings were EXTREMELY OVER COOKED, & I sent them back & received new wings but they were still over cooked! The cashier was very sweet & she quoted me a price of $14 for a 8 PC combo & I tipped her the change, but the food was definitely not worth $20! I wont return!!!
Me and my wife came to Jr crickets today because we love the wings. But we had one of the worst experiences we ever had. We were waited on by a waitress that had a Jamaican accent. She wasn’t very attentive but when she finally did take our order she wouldn’t stop flirting with me. She acted like my wife wasn’t even there. It got so bad that my wife thought that I knew the woman. We always come to this location because it’s close to our house and the service is usually great. But after tonight we will never come here again. The wings are good but they are not worth losing my wife of ten years for a thirsty waitress. We will just go to another location for wings but I’m pretty sure my wife won’t eat at another jr cricket again. The food was great as always but something must be done about the unprofessional waitress. So I’m giving this place a one star rating. Because no matter how good the food is if you don’t have a professional staff it’s not worth going there. You might as well just go to a wing stand in the hood.
Wow! Absolutely terrible experience. The food is average and not worth the hour long wait. We had a party of 5, our food came out staggered and the place wasnt even crowded! The fries were dry and they waited until after they brought my food out to let me know there was no coleslaw. And on top of that they refused to compensate for my order. 4 people in our party had already eaten and were ready to cash out and the last person in our group still hadnt recieved her food! This was my first and last time visiting this poorly managed establishment.
The waitress was good, the food was terrible for the price, $8.99 for a side ceasar salad, when I ordered it, I thought I was getting a real fresh salad, it was in a Togo paper not plastic bowl, the fork and knife was not salad material, I ordered chicken on it, I got maybe 5 little small pieces, and the chicken was hard to chew, my husband salad was a side dish but the same size as mine. The fried pickles was cut too this and some of the breading on it was not done. His shrimp looked ok, they were out of unsweetened tea, the sweet tea was sour or had beer in it, she dropped the salad dressing picked it up and put on the table for my salad. We waste $40. It was awful, nothing fresh for the price. I see why there was not too many customers there.
First timer heard about this place from someone in indy. So when i got off the plane wanted to see what the rave was. food fries and onion rings were cold and chicken was bland cooked when asked to recommend something the lady behind the counter seemed irritated wouldnt reccomend
They over fry the wings I gave 2 stars because the sauce is really good, went here and paid seven dollars for caramel cake bought two slices so that was $14 and got home just to see they were NOT caramel they were very nasty maple cakes don’t waste your time and by the desserts here and only get the wings if you have good strong teeth to handle the crunch!
Went about a month ago foods was ok, service sucked I waited 30min just to order to go. Went again this past Monday and wasted my money if you like Jumbo undercooked wings this is the place. Nastiest wings I have ever had, to add insult to injury they gave me maybe ten fries!!! Not worth the money, this place just has the name not the quality of the original J.R. Crickets I grew up on being from Atlanta. Do better!
Ordered on DoorDash and was more than disappointed. Not sure if it’s any better when you dine in, but almost all of our food was soggy, the fries seemed over cooked. Ordered buffalo wings and PAID for extra ranch and got no sauce what so ever. Who forgets the ranch for buffalo wings?? Seriously. Not worth it. P.s. consider using Togo boxes that aren’t thin cardboard.
My first experience a month ago was great, put in a to go order tonight for dinner after a long day.. Explained the wings that was introduced to the first time which was a lemon pepper/ mild wing mix.. Confirmed it three times, picked up my order, got it home and it was wrong 😑...I was giving mild wings, I was told to bring the order back but I’m tired and wished the order was just correct from the beginning.. I’ll give them another try as there are too many options out here...
Opening week this place was amazing. Staff on point, food excellent, clean ect. Now I am sitting here being ignored while my food comes out wishing I could see my waitress again. There are 3 of them gossiping in the kitchen and its 6pm aka dinner rush.EDIT: 1 hour and 30 minutes into this adventure, still no food. Two tables have gotten drink and food ahead of me. The waitress finally realized how long I had been sitting there, came back and got my order again (did it ever reach the kitchen?) then brought me the wrong drink. Maybe this is just a random occasion but theyre definitely not organized or coordinated as a staff.
Went to get my wings and was greeted properly and everything went well until I got home and realized that they gave me a large cup of blue cheese instead of Ranch. I cant eat a 20 piece wing dry so I went and called and told them of their mistake. There was no apology or anything which kind of angered me a little. I went back to the place and got my Ranch and ordered extra wings. I told her that from my place to this place was 25 minutes and to go back was another 25 minutes. Once again no apology . Got home 30 minutes later and called her one more time to give her a chance to apologize and I told her I just got home. She said okay and hung up the phone. Im so furious right now. 40$ In taxi expenses and 2 hours of time wasted for these rude people. Never again will I order from these awful people.
When I first walked in and saw the place, I was amazed with the ambiance. You can tell the owner is a huge Steelers fan, but it works in ATL because the colors really pop. We went on Thursday evening to watch the Thursday Night Football game and you cant watch a game without wings. We ordered some wings and celery on the side and my friend had the fried shrimp platter. The server was sure to explain some of the included costs for extra sauce and substitutions from the menu and she also explained that the wings are fried crisp-which is the JR Crickets way-and the way I like them. We ordered two cocktails that were ok but it is their first week, so we know how important it is to stay in compliance with keeping their liquor permit.Hands down I definitely see that as a spot for a date or night out with friends. The service was great and the food tasted like the ORIGINAL JR Crickets downtown! I will definitely frequent this establishment.
Billy Dees House Wings flavor, mixed with mild buffalo= FREAKIN AMAZING WING FLAVOR!!! Kind of a sweet, hot, chili, buffalo (but not too hot....but if you like hot just ask them to mix Billy Dees with hot instead of the mild that I got). This is the only JR Crickets location to offer this flavor. My waitress even brought me out some lemon pepper to shake on them, and that really put me over the top. I love great wings, and these were so awesome. Also, this location (JR Crickets Briarcliff Rd) is the SAME location as JR Crickets Northlake- the one across from Northlake mall- theyve just changed the name recently.
I eat there all the time. Its not quite like the original but it is great substitute. Ive ordered through UberEATS(that might be the worse way to do it), PayPal, Call in, and Walk in.The wings are a good size, they arent huge chewy wings these are nice and crispy. I recommend Lemon Pepper Wet(which is actually mild mixed with Lemon Pepper), The original mild wings, Sanchez(Teriyaki mixed with Lemon Pepper).. their Lemon Pepper is really lemony. They have a full bar, most JR crickets have a signature wing. The steak Philly is good, the seafood is good, mushrooms not so much.
Ive been here before and I raved about the wings to my friends and family however I visited today 1-16-2017 and the wings were soft and looked like turkey wings or if they had steriod injections. I explained to the manager that I wasnt pleased and would like a re-order or to not be charged for the inconsistency of the product and she politely told me the only thing she could do is give me a to-go box and went back to answering the phones....She didnt show any empathy or offer any solution to what I was upset about, as far as the server she was nice thats why I gave one star but I would rather drive to Atlanta and not waste time or money here its definitely a gamble with money I work hard for.
Terrible customer services! Was a very frequent visitor (every week or least every other). Once ordered through UberEats did not receive any blue cheese. When brought to their attention next time I ordered, they was not willing to give an extra blue cheese for free. Therefore, I cancelled order (principality). Unbelievable..too cheap to correct customer services mistake..smh!
I ordered fish and and Wings from the menu the menu didnt specify what type of fish so i ordered catfish and they charged me an extra $3 that didnt include .75 cents for wet wings and .59 cents for lemon pepper. When I bought it to their attention it was like whatever to them and it was obvious they didnt try to make it right. I pay for what I ordered walked away but I would never go back again. And oh by the way the owner was sitting right there watching the whole thing.
Their wings and chicken fingers need help. They were tiny and dry, barely any meat. The flavor was off, almost like the kitchen made a mistake with the wing sauce then tried to cover it up by washing it off and putting the correct sauce on. Not going back, waist of money and was not satisfied.
Disclaimer: delivery driver experienceI had no idea this location existed until last night. This is the nastiest customer service Ive experienced in a very long time. I was asked about the orders I was picking up as if my presence disgusted the girl who stood in the middle of the floor.I said, Im picking up two orders. Without moving, she responds ok and blankly stares at me as if she wasnt listening. She disappears to the kitchen. After walking around the counter, she mumbles itll be a minute in my direction.Another girl appears and asks my order numbers. Shes less rude but still as unprofessional. She hands me the food and sits the drink on the counter. A straw is thrown in my direction. At this point, Im beyond ready to retrieve these orders and get out quickly! If this is the treatment of a delivery driver, then I wonder how dine-in guests get treated.
The worst J.R. Crickets. Orders always wrong & horrible customer service.Edit: Went to retrieve my two wing sauces, they were only concerned about telling me I was wrong. One of the cooks tried to fight me and threatened to call the police! No one could give the name of the owner. This entire crew should be terminated.
They gave me a dry sandwich and would not give me my money back after she put her nails into my food ..... I WAS TOLD AFTERWARDS THEY DONT DO REFUNDS ...WHATS THE POINT OF SUPPORTING WHEN THESE PEOPLE ARE JUST TAKING...... MY FOOD COST OVER 30 DOLLARS AND I CANT EVEN EAT THIS WING101 IS BETTER OR MARLOWS if your in the Area DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY............
By FAR one of the WORST experiences Ive EVER had! The service was slow to non exsisting.. but the management was the RUDEST Ive ever encountered. There was a discrepancy on my bill, and they literally ARGUED and raised THEIR voices and practically acted like they wanted to fight over $12. Im not sure what kind of clientele they typically serve, but in my dining experiences, I like staff that APPRECIATES and understands that CUSTOMER SERVICE is Critically iimportant to stay open. Ive read other reviews about this place on yelp etc... many others say the same thing , RUDE! NOONE pays money to be treated poorly!!
The guy with the wu tang clan apron... Omg his grilled shrimp..is unbelievable they are truly bless too.. Omg you gotta see this guy cook.. And his wraps are amazing..... I vote for jr cricket.. And the cook with the Wu Tang Clan apron...... A must see and taste.. HHes good and so is the service hee and the waitress provided

2022-06-14$16.09 for 10 Lemon Pepper wings & fries: I had better. The fries comes with the wings. The Wings was more salty than lemon peppery. The sauce tasted cheap though just saying

2021-09-24Read the reviews and chose to try them out. Spent sixty dollars and was heavily disappointed. To make matters worse the manager could care less that she sent this burnt food to paying customers, she should be sent to look for another job. No customer service skills at all!! 😠😤😡 I love food and I hate ppl who dont know how to serve with consideration! Im positive she wouldnt eat this!! If I were you I wouldnt spend my money here.

2022-03-29My husband and I recently moved to the area and received a coupon in the mail so we decided to check out this location. We are in the middle of living through a remodel and I was tired, hungry and just not in the best mood, honestly. You could tell a lot of their business is take-out-turn-and-burn because they were busy with take-out customers and Uber Eats when we got there. Then Jasmine happened!!! Jasmine came to our table, carefully read our energy, we clicked and my husband asked her to have a seat at our table. To our surprise and delight, she did and gave us a quick run down of the menu and what to expect. She told us that the food is made fresh at the time you order and that there is a little wait. She got our drinks quickly and continued to check on us.When the food came (did not seem like it took too long for what we ordered at all), it was hot and delicious. I ordered the wings and ribs. If you are familiar with wings, you know some are served dry and some wet. It just depends on what you order. I split mine so 1/2 were wet and 1/2 were dry (only mentioning this because of a couple of the reviews I read).Jasmine kept us engaged and laughing. Totally changed my mindset from when I got there until the moment we left and we continued to talk about her on the ride home. She is an asset to the company and our compliments to the chef! Looking forward to our next meal with Jasmine! At a time when a lot of people do not take pride in there work or even want to show up, it is awesome to have this kind of elevated service and interaction.

2020-12-29First time visiting JR. Crickets and I literally live down the street from one in Midtown. Was in the area of Briarcliff, so decided to come to visit. Well JR. Crickets is a cute place to visit. Its a franchise so Im assuming the lady we met was the owner or manager. I got the wings and shrimp. Wing flavor 1/2 ranch, 1/2 lemony pepper (cute spin on lemon pepper). My shrimp were grilled and they also have me more shrimp than stated on the menu, which is PLUS!!!! Well, the food was amaze-balls! I didnt even finish it because it was so good and the portion size was well worth it. I also have a strawberry mango margarita, which is $5 on Mondays. GREAT DRINKS thanks to cashier. I will definitely be back! This place lives up to its reputation of being the original wing place of Atlanta.

2022-02-19The Buffalo Sauce was very good. What I didnt like was the wings tasted like they had been laying around for awhile after being pre cooked, and then thrown in the deep fryer when ordered, which left them dry and overcooked. If they had been deep fried when they were ordered instead of pre cooking them, they would have been excellent.

2022-03-28I am a regular here, almost weekly. Every time I order my food is hot and the staff is friendly. Even the bartenders are friendly. During the day is soft R&B and at night it’s clean upbeat music. Definitely recommend the catfish platter!

2020-12-28It’s been many many years since I’ve last eaten at a JR Crickets (Midtown Atlanta location). Saw it on GrubHub today and thought I’d give it a try again. I ordered the Cricket Burger and a side of fries. Took a while to get here, but order arrived complete and correct, and packaged well for delivery. The burger patty was cooked to a good medium as requested, but was a tad on the dry side. The lettuce, tomato and onion helped pick it up some. Roll was toasted nicely so overall the burger was tasty but not outstanding.Fries were a little under cooked for my preference (I prefer them a bit crispier) but weren’t “bad”. I ate them all, so I guess that says something.I’d be happy to give other menu items a try. All those years ago we pretty much only ate the wings.

2018-01-31I had much higher expectations for this restaurant and i don’t think i would eat their again 😿 I wouldn’t recommend the hot wings because they tasted like a very sour vinger hot sauce which was really bad 🤔 the bbq was a much better flavor and as for the wet lemon pepper they were okay . Also, the french fries had absolutely no flavor or even seasoning, they only tasted like a greasy stick 🤢🤮Also i sat right in-front of a flat screen and i told the waitress to change the channel and when she finally did at the end of my meal it was to another sports channel which is definitely not any different than what was on beforehand. I didn’t like how she choose what we should watch instead of asking us for our options... since nobody else was watching t.v on our side of the restaurant we were sitting at anyway....👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽
