From check in to finish the experience was pleasant at Kaiser West Cobb. The front desk man Today assThe atmosphere is bright and cheery, the nurses and doctors are always so welcoming, knowledgeable and good listeners. I would recommend Kaiser to anyone. its one-stop-shopping, just about everything you need to have done is in one location, pharmacy, radiology, labs etc.. You dont have to go Here There and Everywhere.I love it
ALL 5 of these stars are for Aisha P, who works upfront at intake at W. Cobb. Last Friday, she was my angel. I forgot an appointment that has to be scheduled by a specific person and while she was busy helping other people, putting up with my impatient, anxious 90 yr old Grandmother, my rambunctious 4 yr old son and a frantic, crybaby (myself), she was able to find that specific person and reschedule my appointment for TODAY. She was my miracle worker, bcuz anyone who has Kaiser insurance, KNOWS it’s unheard of! AISHA went ABOVE AND BEYOND and made SURE it was the right appointment. She is the epitome of superb customer service, she’s compassionate and dedicated to doing her job the RIGHT WAY. This woman deserves a raise, promotion and bonus. I was blown away by her ability to get all of it done within a timely manner.
Just wow. This is my first time having Kaiser as a provider and first visit to this facility. My appointment was for a physical, routine work. Good parts about my experience: Welcome Staff/Greeters (actually they may have been Doctors since they had on white coats haha) were very nice and helpful, including the guy at the front desk. The Lab team (blood work) were also very nice.I assumed that my visit would go well and the Doctor and Nurse that I saw would be even better. I was wrong. The Nurse was ok, a bit dry and not very friendly. She also left me in the room for 30 minutes when I should have been downstairs getting my blood work. Clearly there was a miscommunication between the Nurse and Doctor. If I had not left the room when I did (which I immediately ran into her and she stated she was on the way to see me while scrambling to get my paperwork), I probably would have waited much longer. What kind of facility is this? The Doctor also was not very friendly, no type of bedside manner (tried to bring up a couple concerns). It felt like you were just a number in line and they’re waiting to get to the next person.Maybe they BOTH were having a bad day. No idea but I most likely wont be returning.
I have never had any good service from Kaiser your staff is not professional lack compassion totally rude to your patient’s. Your website is misleading stating your office opens at 7:00-7:00 pm arrived at 8:06 was met at the door by security told to give them 15 more minutes they don’t open the doors to 8:25. This is not acceptable change your web page and hire better staff.
Kaiser as a whole played a big factor in saving my life, west Cobb pharmacy was always there for me when I came in for meds refill and at one time after my heart attack when I couldn’t get around at all they fixed it so I got everything I needed through the mail they are great loving people who makes me feel great the moment I walk in……Thx so much West Cobb!!!!!! Wanda, Lorrie, Nick, Mizanelle
Website says they close at 8 but they do not! They hold banking hours. How do they have the same hours as when people work? Are you supposed to take time off from work to pick up a prescription? This is crazy. Then they tell you the next one is in Kennesaw, um sorry I cant breathe I doubt Im going to make it to drive another 30 minutes in traffic for albuterol. Very disappointing.
This facility is out of date, HOWEVER, there is construction going on and the service you get here completely outweighs the old interior. Kindness starts at the door, security greets you and wishes you well when you leave. The receptionists get you checked in quickly and tell you to feel better. Once I actually get back to see the practitioners and doctors my cup is full. The RN’s and doctors that have cared for me always listen and take time to hear and address all of my concerns. I went in today only to have bloodwork done and even the lab tech was amazing. I don’t know if kindness and compassion are important in healthcare to others but it means the world to me. Kaiser West Cobb is doing a great job.
I received the worst treatment ever today in this hispital. I took my sick son there and we were neglected for almost 2hrs. My son got high fever and was really crying. The nurse in charge didnt care, i went to meet her and all she could say was Dr. busy. I decided to leave and go to any emergency center but lodged my complain to the front desk nurse, that was when the busy doctor came out and said i wasnt on her list...really. I felt so sad for my baby 😥 😥 😢
Compared to the Kaiser by Cumberland Mall, the environment and staff have a much higher standard of professionalism. I wanted to be sure I brought my son to a good pediatrician who would listen and advise me on what was best for my son (specifically in regards to vaccination). I found Dr. Benjamin very helpful. I ended up changing my PCP to this location as well even though it is 20 minutes away.
Kaiser is the worst service, the medical machine was worn out, they cant figure out your disease, they didnt know why they get your blood exactly and test your blood until your weak and cant stand it. And you cant change the insurance cause they closed market. Dont come if you dont wanna die.
Every time i order refills online, i usually give them another day or so before i go in to pick them up. And it never fails, i get there and its not filled or they try to charge me with out insurance. And they gave me a generic medicine for my gout, and it doesnt work as well. So i go in today, and they finally inform me that kaiser no longer covers the non generic medicine now. And that it would be $455. And that was the last nail in the coffin for me, i will be switching to blue cross !!
Definitely not the best KP hospital (Sandy Springs location is far better maintained in comparison), but the people here are the nicest! Right from the reception staff to nurses to our physician, everyone was super friendly, courteous and went out of their way to help! Will definitely keep this as our primary location!
Kaiser as a whole in metro Atlanta has too many members and not enough staff, started with Affordable Care Act and has gotten worse. Had a muscular injury and it took them 2.5 weeks just to get an MRI. By then the surgery window had closed. Asked for a second opinion and took another three weeks to get that. I wonder why no one wants to work there?
UPDATE: Dr. Ellenoff was much more personable and listened much better than Dr. Knox. The front desk staff is friendly and the nurse was friendly. I still went home, though, with no solution to my 3.5-month cough other than to try some OTC allergy medicine and maybe we can run some tests if that doesnt work. I felt like instead of trying to get to the root of the problem, the advice was more like wait and see. She did suggest I could come back for a chest x-ray. She was very nice but I definitely dont feel I am receiving the same level of care I received with my old doctor & insurance. I really feel like they would have run some tests or tried an antibiotic or something. Because the staff is friendly and Dr. Ellenoff was much nicer and listened more, Ive improved my review from 1* to 3*** but thats about as good as it gets at the moment.SUMMARY: Dr. Knox was rushing me, interrupting me, uncaring, rude and would not listen. I wouldnt be surprised if he has misdiagnosed many patients frequently due to his I know it all, you know nothing attitude before even giving a physical exam. If it wasnt for a friendly office staff, I would rate my visit a zero.THE FULL STORY :After having bad experiences with Kaiser about 20 years ago, I swore Id never choose them again but considering they were one of only 2 choices given to me by ACA I chose them because at least one out of my 3 doctors, one accepted their plan. I went in with the idea that maybe theyd gotten better. I mean it had been 20 years so change could happen, right? But... when Dr. Knox entered the room, he briefly greeted me then began immediately firing off a slew of questions at me at light speed (probably behind schedule and trying to get off work on time on a Friday). He interrupted every single answer I gave, limiting me to yes/no and 2-3 word answers before he was on to his next question. Besides not letting me speak at all, he made very little eye contact, did not smiling once, then proceeded to tell me in a smart-alec tone that he didnt think I had any chest congestion (which is the whole reason Im there!!!!) without ever examining my chest!!! Im a professional singer and I know my body, especially my lungs and throat. If I tell you that I have chest congestion, I have chest congestion. He hadnt even brought out a stethscope! He was already making up his mind before ever examining me. At this point he had been in the room exactly 2-3 minutes. Were at 3 minutes max and youre already determined you know whats wrong (and that I dont know what Im talking about) without listening to my concerns and without any exam?!?!!!!! At that point I was fed up and said You havent listened to a word Ive said since you walked in the door, and while I was speaking, he SMIRKED at me! At that point I said I see how this is going to go - Im done. I walked out and told the front desk I needed a new doctor. Then of course at that point my nerves were so frazzled I lost it. (You see, I have an anxiety disorder and that level of stress and frustration sends me into a panic attack). I didnt yell or anything like that, but I was flustered and agitated and told them I have an anxiety disorder and I cant handle people talking to me like that - fast and furious like a firing squad, rude, uncaring and not listening to me. Basically from that point on the front desk staff did work diligently to help calm me and reassure me it was just a bad patient-doctor fit. They gave me an appointment with another doctor but wrote the wrong reason on the appointment as wants to be seen for anxiety disorder.
I have had to wait too long in order to be seen lately. It started in September when I had a nurses visit. I arrived 10 min before my scheduled appt. After waiting 40 min past my scheduled appt I had not been seen. I had to leave and reschedule because I had an appt scheduled with a client. Never thought it would take that long. A few weeks before that I had to cancel my childs appt 1 hr after the 24 hr deadline. They charged me $25. I feel they should pay me $25 for not honoring the time I had scheduled for the nurse appt. Smh at Kaiser. They need to do better!
The doctor told me she had no idea what was wrong with me and sent me on my way. No blood tests, barely listened to my heart/lungs and didnt even bother to check my eyes, ears, nose or throat. Worst experience with a so-called doctor ever. I will be sure to never visit this facility again.
I cant explain how much I hate kaiser. The fact that you must take 15-20 minutes and speak to something electronic before even allowing you to speak to a person irritates me. Second the austell location never actually makes an effort to have my medication in stock. My first visit I had to take time to come and see the doctor in order to get it then I get to the pharmacy for them to tell me it will take 4 days to get iy actually in. So I had to pay 38$ at walgreens for only a months worth. On top of that for the last 5 years I have been able to get my pets medication filled at walgreens with no problem I could even get it compounded if i need to in order to help him. They cant even do that because he isnt a member well he wasnt on my insurance at walgreen and i didnt have this problem. Over all i hate this place Im upset this is the only plan my job offers. The deductible is outrages and no obtainable. I never had these issue with Blue Cross or United health care. The hold we do it all under one roof is crap. Its limits and restrict your money and things you need for you actually health. If Im dying I cant go to Wellstar around the corner I have to drive 30 minutes to kennesaw in order to receive help and YES IT HAS HAPPEN TO MY MOM WHILE SUFFERING A STROKE. I hate this place and company and i will make a mission to look for a better and quality insurance for my needs. I hate paying for things i cannot use in my time of need. Crap card isnt worth the paper they laminate it on
The pharmacists are great, but fire that douche bag security Mall Cop. Forced me out of the building after arriving at 5:02, pharmacy still open and Ill says on their outgoing message they close at 6. Couldnt get a prescription that wasnt even ready till AFTER 4:30. Punk!

2022-03-15My Mom was at a competing hospital that I had concerns about the pre-diagnosis and bleak outcome. I consulted with Dr. Foster to intervene and consult with the attending doctor and the attitude of the doctor changed to a more positive outlook. Dr. Foster is an advocate of Prayer & Care which improved my Mom’s outcome. We appreciate Kaiser and it’s staff in all that they do!

2022-03-26When I left my appointment, I noticed that I was given another patients medical paperwork with everything that constitutes a hippa violation for us both. I was not given my own information, diagnosis, and proper care for treatment. I also don’t understand why they kept insisting that a allergy sniffle is covid, then go on to unnecessarily, and improperly diagnose. I took a test on my own just to have proof of a negative result. Something is real shady about this, being that I had some of my correct forms on top of the other patients forms. Not only is this unprofessional, and negligent, it’s very dangerous

2022-02-16Very disrespectful to the neighbors. Security alarm goes off constantly at all hours. Their security company cant figure out why or turn how to turn it off remotely. They have to call another company to drive over and turn it off.The volume has been set on the alarm so you can hear it for half a mile. They say its legal and the neighbors have to live with it. Time for a class-action right-to-quiet-enjoyment lawsuit after Cobb code enforcement confirms its a violation.UPDATE - the problem seems to have stopped for now. Thank you if you made an adjustment. If not, Ill update the post again.

2022-01-07My family is blessed to have Dr. Dao-King as my children’s pediatrician because she is the BEST at what she does! I never feel rushed, she listens to my concerns, she explains things easily for me to understand, she is always pleasant and caring towards my children. I couldn’t be happier to know her and have her caring for my children’s health.

2021-08-14My husband and I were late for his appointment. We have never been to this facility and got turned around. Beautiful and modern! With NO Doctor appointments available ANYWHERE right now, this staff worked us in to see his Doctor- Dr. Isom! She is so competent and makes you feel like a person. We switched over to this office permanently.
