Summer 2018:My 5 year old son started taking classes this summer at Karate Atlanta Dacula. He is so happy in class and looks forward to each one. He and the other students have a blast. They get a great workout and you can see that they feel good about themselves. A great way to have fun and exercise! He loves showing us his new moves and is so proud of himself when he earns a new stripe and/or belt. It is such a welcoming environment between the instructors and fellow families.Now August 2019:Over a year here and we still look forward to each day! My son is now a Junior and loves his classes and instructors. Weve enjoyed it so much as a family that I joined this past year. Its a great workout for kids and adults alike and a great activity that children and parents can share together.
This studio is amazing. as someone who has been burned in my youth with bum instructors i vetted the chief instructor hard and he is the real deal and is a great instructor, that is a rare combo for as the saying goes not all who can do can teach. ok maybe i took some liberties with that expression...but you get the idea. the secondary instructor is also amazing and will bend over backwards to make sure any issues you may encounter are dealt with right away and in a professional manner they have many long time students who are very loyal, that alone speaks volumes.
We have been searching for a sport that pushes my son physically, rewards him for the work put in, and pushes him to be a better version of himself. We found this at Karate Atlanta Dacula. My son absolutely loves going to karate and enjoys what he learns. We are still in the early stages but I see his confidence growing and his manners - WOW! His manners have improved so much in such a short time. Every single person I have come in to contact there has been very nice, encouraging, and supportive. We are thrilled to be apart of Team KA and highly recommend Karate Atlanta Dacula.
We came to Karate Atlanta 2 years ago when my son was four. He is hiper active and we were looking for an activity where he could burn his extra energy. We started with a 6 week trial program. He liked it so much that we signed him. I am happy we did that. He enjoys every minute in class. He learns not just kicks and punches but also self-discipline and perseverance. Teakwondo helps him in both mind and body,making him stronger and more confident. It makes him happy.I believe one day he will become a black belt leader.I recommend Karate Atlanta for every child.
Karate Atlanta Dacula is a great place to take Karate. The instructors are amazing with their students. We have been going there for almost 2 years and they continue to exceed my expectations. The courage, confidence, discipline and leadership skills they have instilled in my daughter continue to grow and strengthen with every class she takes.
Karate Atlanta has been by far an amazing experience. We have a confident, disciplined and respectful 6 year old that gets compliments everywhere she goes because of her positive attitude. We thank the instructors at ATA Dacula for being such great role models for not only my daughter but everyone who attends the school.
Karate Atlanta has made a wonderful lasting impression on our whole family. Our son began when he was almost 4 and is still attending and loves it! The staff is phenomenal. We highly recommend this karate school!
Our son recently started karate at ATA Karate in Dacula. He has had a rough time in sports and school. Thanks to the wonderful instructors and staff for the individual approach, genuine caring and constantly encouraging him he has shown a huge change at home and LOVES karate. Joining ATA was the best decision!
We are very pleased with our decision to have our 5 year old son take classes at Karate Atlanta Dacula.Taking karate is improving his confidence and self esteem. He is always eager to get his stripes and very proud of himself when earning a new rank or belt. Mr Kafer instructs and interacts extremely well with the younger students. We appreciate the entire staff and all their hard work.
My 5 and a half year old daughter saw the tent for Karate Atlanta Dacula at Kids Expo this past Spring and wanted to try Taekwondo. We had just moved from NY to Dacula, GA over Spring Break. Over the years, we have tried gymnastics and soccer but she struggled to learn the physical skills needed to compete with the other kids in those sports. Plus, she lacked commitment and would not want to go and would eventually ask us if she could quit. She loves dancing her moves to her favorite songs and is friendly and has a bubbly personality and likes to cheer people on but we have never even tried dance class or cheerleading team because she would never have the mental skills needed to memorize choreography and synchronize herself with the other kids. And she is a strong and active girl! She loves visits to the park, playground, and pool. She loves taking walks/hikes and learning how to ride her bike. Both at Kids Expo and then at our private Orientation, Mr. Kafer, Miss Leopold, and Miss Elie were friendly, informative, and helpful explaining what Taekwondo is to us and how it could have a significant positive impact on our child and help her be the best person she can be! After 3 classes, she earned her white belt and her Taekwondo journey officially began! She started being more respectful, using good manners more, listening more, and doing what she was asked to do Immediately! more! She also started having more self confidence Yes, I can! She also started taking better care of her body to stay healthy and be strong! She also started having more of a positive self image of her body which is extremely important in todays world for girls! She attends 2 or 3 classes each week. Karate Atlanta Dacula uses the ATA (American Taekwondo Association) curriculum.My daughter is a Beginner Tiger! The school is clean and has all of the equipment necessary with more than enough quantity to teach Taekwondo and they maintain it so that it is always in good condition. There are 2 bathrooms which makes using the toilet or changing clothes convenient, fast, and easy. There are lots of chairs in rows for parents and guests to watch class. You are on the edge of the mat and have a perfect view of your child. The desk is by the front door and whenever you have a question or need to take care of something all you do is walk up to the desk and someone on the staff will help you. They are always friendly, informative, and helpful and really care about your child and try to learn about all of the childs family! It really is an atmosphere that embraces you like Welcome to our Taekwondo family! There are always multiple instructors teaching each class so every student gets the attention they need. Class size varies because every child can attend whatever class for their level that is convenient for them that week. We are a busy family and I love this policy! It helps us squeeze in Taekwondo class wherever our calendar has space! In just under 2 months, our 5 and a half year old daughter went from earning her white belt, to learning her first form and learning how to fall safely for self defense (an extremely important life skill), and passing her first belt test to earn her Ara belt, to being the first Tiger ever awarded the Student of the Month!!! She talks to everyone who will listen about how cool Taekwondo is and she will demonstrate moves to them and tell them that she will earn her black belt one day!!!We love Karate Atlanta Dacula and highly recommend it!!!
The staff here is absolutely amazing. My eleven year old daughter goes here. They are so great with kids of all ages. We are very, very pleased. Dont hesitate to enroll either you, or your child!They teach confidence, respect, self discipline, self defense, and of course Tae Kwon Do.
Karate Atlanta Dacula is the BEST school for all ages to learn Karate. The staff are ALL great with the children. They have the best birthday parties ever! I also love the ADULT classes. Youre never too old to learn! I highly recommend Karate Atlanta Dacula for ALL. Its our home away from home and we wouldnt have it any other way. If you are looking to just check it out for yourself, come on in. There is usually a promotion of some sort. Bring a buddy to class, thats fun. ATA staff are exceptional and work well with the children with respect and discipline. Ive seen a great improvement with my sons listening skills. The children learn valuable self defense and stranger danger techniques that prayerfully theyll never need but Im ecstatic hes learning how to execute. Great experience for children and adults alike!
An exceptional Karate program. Mr. Kafer, Mr.Breech, and Mrs. Leopold are outstanding instructors and my child Joshua enjoys the entire experience of being developed by his instructors. The program not only focuses on skill development but respect, honesty, discipline, and leadership. Joshua has grown tremendously as an ATA Karate Dacula student!
If I could give 0 stars I would have. Mr. Max Van Eck you should probably do some soul searching and get your studio in order. Would never recommend to anyone.
For the past year, KA Dacula has been like a second home for us because were there so much and have truly embraced the staff and other parents and students like they are an extension of our own family. We are proud to call them our KA Family. Time and time again Mr. Kafer has proved to us and is still proving to us that he is definitely qualified to be a chief instructor/manager. When we go to him with questions or concerns he gives his full attention and cares about what we have to say. That to us is really important and that is one reason why he is a great instructor. Not only have my husband and two daughters improved in their TKD skills and have won medals at tournaments and Districts, but their leadership skills and confidence have greatly improved as well. Mr. Kafer and the entire staff have shown my family the importance of having discipline and perseverance. We highly recommend KA Dacula to our friends, family, and to anyone wanting to learn taekwondo and other vital life skills.
When I started at Karate Atlanta in the beginning of 2014 , I just thought Karate was cool and I wanted to try it , but there is much more to it. My instructors have taught me to have appreciation for it , I now have determination for it too ! Tae-Kwon-Do is a passion of mine now and I love it ! I owe it all to my instructors , I would never of gotten this good without them ! Since Mr. Kafer came to the school I have gotten better than ever ! Mr. Kafer , Mr. Breech , and Mr. Warren cannot be replaced with better instructors !

According to my son Christian you are the best tae kwon do center in the world. To a parent thats all that matters we love the adult classes we love the extra time and the summer incentives they really do an excellent job of keeping the entire family involved
My daughter loves her classes here. The teachers work well with students of all ages and capabilities. Ms. Haskins and Castor love the kids. Adult classes are also available.
Most of the children seemed to be having a blast. I think its a great environment for children to be in. Learn discipline and basic life skills.Great experience overall.
My 3 children attend and I am definitely pleased at the leadership, integrity and respect that the entire staff presents! They are awesome and I recommend this location to anyone!

2022-08-12Great place with a family oriented atmosphere. The teachers are great and the students are even better. My child has been a student here for two years and she absolutely adores and respects everyone there. In my opinion every student that attends the dojo will make great role models. The teachers and the black belt students are fierce and a force to be reckoned with on the mat. If you want your kid to excel and be great at karate, you should come here.

2022-05-26I must say, coming from a dance background, I wouldve never expected to become a Taekwondo student, much less instructor. Mr. Van Eck brought forth the best of me, even when I thought it was my worst. A highly educated studio with a fantastic team. Would highly recommend to anyone interested in starting their martial arts journey.

2018-08-08Karate Atlanta and its instructors provide a fun and safe environment for kids all ages to learn safety and life skills. We have been part of Karate Atlanta since 2014 and we have seen our daughter grow in confidence and discipline. We love our Dacula KA family.

2017-06-19We love the fact that the instructors all engage well with the kids. They work hard to make sure that each student has learned and mastered the techniques. The kids have fun in each class, and all the parents have been so friendly. Ive seen tremendous growth in my son since he joined ATA Atlanta-Dacula. So much so, he asked and joined the Black belt leadership club! As a homeschooling parent, this is the perfect blend of activity and learning for our children. Come join the family!

I love how they enforce the rules and help you enforce the rule with your kids at home! They encourage and build kids to be their Best! This Karate Family is a force and I’m proud that my kids and I are a part of it!

Ian loves going to class and looks up to his instructors. We have seen great progress in his confidence level, focus, and discipline. We would definitely recommend this karate school to others.
