We Love Karate Atlanta and what they have done for our boys. They not only instill confidence in the kids but show them there are other ways to handle themselves than fighting. They have worked with us with school issues and help us teach our children you cannot be a black belt leader at TaeKwondo and not be one at school and home. The instructors are so good and patient with the kids. WE LOVE KARATE ATLANTA!
Karate Atlanta Roswell is the best place for your child to learn martial arts in the Atlanta area. Our son has gone from white belt to black belt in 3 years. It has been the greatest experience of his life and will help him be successful in whatever he does. All of the teachers and staff are great with kids.

My son started his karate work here at ATA in Roswell with Mr. Brian and Ms. Sharon. He was, to put it lightly, a handful to manage. However, he was eager to learn and tried to put 100% of himself into it. The instructors here are patient and kind but firm when necessary. We cant thank you enough. We have since moved away from Roswell but my son has continued his studies. Today he became a Tiger Cub Black Belt and is on his way to the Juniors! Hes so confident and proud! Thank you ATA!
The two little ones we in rolled into Karate Atlanta Roswell about a year ago were not interested in taking Karate/Taekwondo lessons. We told them to take 3 lessons and if you do not like it we would try something else. We are going on year two and they enjoy it, the instructors are great and skilled at getting the best out of the kids, teaching them life long lessons along with their training. Like discipline, how to be respectful to others, building their self esteem and teaching them what to do if you find yourself confronted by a bully and how not to become a bully yourself.Every school is different and these instructors are practitioners in what they do. Carol and I encourage every family to enroll their children into Karate Atlanta Roswell, you will not regret it. Remember Karate Atlanta Roswell. I only can speak for them.
Roswell Karate Atlanta gives kids (and adults too) more than taekwondo (and practical and accurate self-defense) instruction. Mr. Poole and Ms. Jones and all the instructors give the kids an environment that allows for fun, while still teaching solid skills.I have seen over 4 years my family become athletic, enthusiastic, confident and skilled in taekwondo while transitioning the middle to high school years for our oldest child. My husband joined the adult program and our youngest started the Tiny Tigers at 3 here. The teaching is very positive, but students need to work to be the best. A first degree black belt only means you mastered basic skills-and you have to work for it, not just show up. I think the slogan You dont have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great. sums up the positive attitude of this school very well.
The staff at Karate Atlanta Roswell is second to none. They provide the kids with a safe learning environment that teaches them discipline, respect, and lifelong skills. They tailor the pace to the age group and increase the difficulty level as the kids become more capable. A great place to build confidence and friendships!
My twins look forward to their classes at Karate Atlanta. The instructors are excellent teachers and coaches. Both of my boys have gained confidence from the class curriculum and the support they receive from the instructors.
My family and I have been with Karate Atlanta for 16 years and we love it. Now that I have a son of my own, I enrolled him! He loves it, and he cant wait to come back to class every week. The instructors here are fantastic!
I was a nanny of 2 boys who does Karate in Atlanta Roswell. I was there at least 2/3 times a week for 2 years. I know the people (manager and instructor) and I can say they are really wonderful people, and the way they teach its so easy and funny at the same time. The boys looove to go to Karate. The place is super organized and clean.I highly recommend!!!
ATA is the BEST! The people there are very professional and dedicated. The boys always say they want to be like their teacher. We are very passionate about karate and not only do we go to karate but also we practice at home. We love karate and we love this place! We highly recommend Karate Atlanta Roswell!
Weve been coming to KA Roswell since Fall of 2012 when my middle son started as a Tiny Tiger. The instructors and large facility is great and the knowledge and life lessons they provide to the kids is even better (Respect, Discipline, Self Esteem, Perseverance...to name a few). It was so great, I ended up joining and enjoying the program myself. Since 2012, my son and I have earned our 1st degree black belts and one of his little sisters is also now in the program working hard for her black belt. I cant recommend KA Roswell enough. If youre curious or even just a little bit interested, come check it out and hopefully youll join the family.
My daughter is now a black belt and she has a lot more discipline in her life, thanks to the instructors at Karate ATA. Mr. Poole and his fellow instructors are fantastic with the kids and work with each of them individually to perfect their skills to a T. Highly recommended!
Our daughter has always been incredibly shy and afraid to try new things. When she first started asking to try karate to be honest I didn’t sign her up right away because I didn’t have the confidence that she would actively participate and actually gain anything. Boy was I wrong! Haley has transformed dramatically thanks to Karate Atlanta Roswell. She has gained so much confidence and a willingness to try new adventures-she is now even water skiing because KA gave her a “yes I can” attitude. She is still shy when she meets new people but she comes out of her shell faster and is talking to others so much more.
We absolutely love Karate Atlanta Roswell! Our son has been taking classes for 2 years and never wants to miss a class. The instructors are amazing with children- just the right balance of fun, patience, and discipline.
Being an individual familiar with martial arts after practicing several styles over the years, I have seen nothing but continuous improvement from my friend Kenneth Gs daughter in her videos over the past year. The instructors at Karate Atlanta are awesome! Our kids have been going there for years. They learn lots while still having fun. I would recommend this school to anyone.
My stepdaughter Jaden has progressively gotten better with her skills, behavior, manners, etc due to her discipline at this karate dojo. The staff and instructors are very patient with the kids and know how to tap into their potential individually. I highly recommend this facility to anybody looking.
My son LOVES this karate school. Ms. Jones, Mr. Poole, and all the instructors are hard working, caring, and bring it to class consistently. As someone who trained in martial arts as a young kid, I am so excited to see the incredible instruction and hard work this location has to offer. My dear friends daughter, Jaden, has been taking classes here and I am so proud to see the confidence she has built since attending. While babysitting her over the years, I have had the opportunity to see her grow into an ambitious, determined, and intelligent young lady. Now, anytime I see her she is excited to show me new skills she learned in her karate class and always has an eager spirit to learn more. Being a female myself, I am happy to see another young lady learn skills that will not only help her gain mental/emotional strength throughout her adolescence, but physical strength to acquire basic defense skills that any woman should have in her life. I have heard so many good things about Karate Atlanta ATA Roswell ! My niece has trained here for a while now and absolutely loves it ! She has learned alot and is truly dedicated to her training , in class and outside of class ! She is always practicing her moves ! And from what I understand they have several programs to choose from . Cant wait to see her keep advancing.
I cant say enough good things about this place and the staff! My daughter who is 3.5 wakes up every day asking if it is Karate Day because she LOVES it so much. The instructors are above amazing and deserve more than 5 stars. Im amazed at how well they interact with the kids, they are better with these kids than I can describe. There is a younger blonde boy that volunteers with the instructors (hes there so much that I wonder if he sleeps there!) that is unbelievably mature and great with the little ones, which you dont usually see in boys at his age! I hope my son is as mature, polite, helpful and just plain wonderful as this young man is whenhe gets older! We will definitely be keeping our daughter in this program as she grows up and cant wait to get our son in when he is old enough.I would recommend this place to everyone!
Karate Atlanta Roswell has been a huge blessing in my sons life. Amazing studio! My two nephews, Tristan and Ryan Armstrong have gained so much from this studio! They have grown, not only in their karate skills, but in their development as kind, respectful young men. They have also made lifelong friendships! Highly recommend!
Over the last two and a half years, I have watched as my granddaughter Jaden has become increasingly proficient in her martial arts instruction. Our friends two sons attend and they could not be any happier with this dojo. In fact their father joined too for adult karate lessons. We have seen how the staff and instructors interact with the kids and during birthday parties - they are fantastic.
My child is a green belt and has been asking me to try a class. Well, tonight I did and it was hard ! The instructors are so skilled and at 42 my kicks are not quite what they used to be . I had a blast participating and wow what a work out ! I loved being able to be w my child and actually feel the accomplishment of completing a class . 2 1/2 years ago, I was told that my niece, Jaden, was signing up for Karate lessons. Now as we all know, a lot of children are just kind of enamored with the idea of doing something different until the novelty wears off. But this situation has been one of those exceptions to the rule. I have watched as Jaden has become very adept with her skills. It seems that every time I get on Facebook, her father has posted another video of her displaying her skills. And it all comes from practice. This school has done an excellent job in not only getting her attention early on, but maintaining that attention from the beginning to the present day. Furthermore, these lessons have enhanced other areas of her life ie academics and personal behavior. I would definitely recommend this school to anyone that is thinking about signing their child up for lessons, or even just looking for themselves.

Its rare today to find a program that promotes discipline, communication, respect, hard work, and responsibility all while remaining engaging for children and adults alike. We love KA Roswell. Its a terrific TKD (ATA) school and our son has enjoyed classes here for almost two years. The staff are all terrific people who treat all of the kids like family. The instruction is a perfect blend of skill, competition, fun and life lesson. I highly recommend this school.
Fantastic experience at this school. My 8 year old has thrived in this environment. The instructors are great and work really well with the kids. Love that they include self defense and conversations about not being, and dealing with bullies.
We were very disappointed with the instruction. They move the kids much too fast up the ranks and charge you for unnecessary belt ceremonies. Our son was treated badly by the instructor or picked on. He is a very active child and we put him in karate to teach him focus. Rather than trying to teach him a lesson, he was picked on by the instructor. I was not pleased at all. Just because someone has a 5 star black belt does not indicate their demeanor. We tried to make it work. I would not recommend it.
I can’t say enough good things about this program!!! I put my son in it and then my daughter watched and fell in love too, she gave up gymnastics to do it. I have to say I’m glad because she is gaining so much more here than gymnastics. The instructors are the best I’ve ever seen. It really feels like family and looking toward to seeing my kids grow!
Our son loves ATA! The instructors are skilled at using positive reinforcement and have helped him to channel his inner Power Ranger. Learning new moves is fun and he is always eager to earn his next belt/advancement. Convenient scheduling with multiple time options each week is a plus for busy parents. Thanks ATA!
My cousin Jaden and I always enjoyed lightsaber fights against each other. During a recent visit, I got to experience just how good she has become through her lessons with the katana. It is clear to me that she has been trained well. She has worked hard to get where she is. If I lived there, this school would be my choice. Anyone that is considering attending this school should do so.
Ive seen my granddaughter Jadens videos of her form online all the time. But, when she came to visit me in VA, I was able to witness first-hand how far she has come in her discipline and determination for achieving her black belt status. I can easily say that Karate ATA Roswell has been the most determining factor in her success.
My daughter has been coming for the past 2 years and in just a few weeks, she will be getting her black belt. Our chief instructor, Mr. Poole, is a wonderful teacher for students of all ages. Hes patient and funny with everyone from Tiny Tigers to the World Champions hes taught. All of our teachers are knowledgeable and patient. Its a great place to learn Tae Kwon Do!

About a month ago, my cousin Jaden was visiting here in Virginia and I was very impressed by how much she has learned. I took lessons years ago so I do know what it takes to succeed in it. This school is definitely doing a great job with her instruction and you should sign up if you are thinking about it.
Im only familiar with one of your students (jaden) in passing, but even in such a quick glimpse of her personality she earned more of my respect than most adults two or three times her age. Id be happy to attribute her discipline, her morals, her aspiration for greater things to her father (a personal friend of mine), but as we know it takes a village. And a big healthy part of jadens village is ATA. My upbringing included eleven years of karate before I explored other martial arts, and Im warmed inside by watching the traditions I cherished as a youth being passed to subsequent generations. The world needs more people like jaden, and more places like ATA to nurture the power for good in a child.
I am a good friend of Kenneth Gambill and his daughter attends this school. He uploads countless videos of his daughter, Jaden, practicing and perfecting her techniques. It is awesome to see a school pushing kids to work outside the classroom and it is clear Jaden is mastering the art!

Great place to learn taekondo, have fun, and let out anger! The instructors are incredibly friendly, and are willing to help everyone out individually. Plus, you learn self defense! Definitely a 5 star rating, if I do say so myself.

2021-07-20KA has helped our family in many ways. My son has gained confidence in his physical ability. Hes gained discipline and respect for those who are in charge. Hes gained skills to help him escape if anyone tries to kidnap him. We are proud to be a part of this Dojo and love how deeply committed to the kids the owners are. It blows my mind that Master Poole remembers ALL the childrens names from day 1. We bring guests OFTEN and they always have a great time. Weve considered having his birthday party here in the past (His birthday is during the winter). I recommend trying a free class to get a feel for how well they run the school.Weve now been with them for 2 years, and enjoyed the benefits of having an activity to do after school as well as great teachers who exemplify how to be a good citizen and respect others. Well done!

2017-06-12Karate for Kids in Roswell is the best karate studio in the area, hands down! Ive been to about 15 different karate studios in my lifetime, and so I can say with 100% confidence that this place is where you want to be!Mr. Poole and the other instructors are all top notch, and they do a fantastic job teaching classes for kids and adults of all ages and ability levels. They are genuinely positive and encouraging and always go above and beyond to ensure that everyone has the best experience possible. The office manager is very friendly and helpful too!

2017-03-13Karate Atlanta donated their time to come to Esther Jackson Elementary and teach an hour class to my students who had been working very hard on their multiplication facts. This was a reward for the students and aligned with the karate theme we were using to learn their math. The instructors not only were generous with their time and their expertise, they also incorporated the multiplication into their session, supporting the students and reinforcing their learning in a fun and engaging way. This was truly the highlight of the year for my classes! The instructors were professional, respectful and supportive of the students and teachers, and provided a wonderful learning opportunity for all. Their integrity, dedication to children and commitment to supporting the education to our communitys youth was evident throughout everything they did. I would highly recommend Karate Atlanta.

2016-06-10Love love love Karate Atlanta Roswell. All of the instructors are fantastic, especially Mr. Poole, Mr. Engelmann and Mr. Jones. They spend a lot of time with the kids making sure each of them are included and feel valued. Mrs. Jones is fabulous - she answered all of my many many questions when we first started and always has the info I need. My son loves going to class - its one of the best things Ive done for him. I would highly recommend this school.

2016-08-24We love Karate Atlanta Roswell. I started bringing my son here an year ago to help channel his energy into something positive. What I got was something way more than that. Not only has his confidence grown, but he is so excited to go to class even to this day. That has not happened with any of the other activities he has tried so far. The instructors have multitude of ways to keep him motivated and wanting to do his best. Apart from the martial arts training, I see a lot of good character traits being instilled in him and I couldnt be happier. My son loves the classes and his instructors. And the whole environment is so friendly, fun and encouraging. I would highly recommend this school.

2016-06-08If you are looking for a karate studio that loves and respects your kids, makes learning fun, and teaches focus and character, this is the place! We have two boys, ages 6 and 8, who started at Karate Atlanta Roswell when they were 3 and 4 years old. The teachers and staff are incredible and great role models for our kids...the BEST we have seen in any extracurricular sport/activity. My husband has just started there and is loving the adult classes also.

2018-06-15We love Karate Atlanta Roswell! My son has been with them for over two years now and its more than just a place we take classes - the staff makes it feel like a big family. From all the extra things they do like Trunk or Treat and ninja nights to knowing the name of every single person that walks in the door, they create an amazing experience for the kids.

2018-08-03We have been going to Karate Atlanta for over 7 years. We have 3 kids and 2 of them have earned their blackbelts. The instructors are incredible with the kids, especially Mr. Poole. I would highly recommend Karate Atlanta to any parent looking for a place for their kids to learn self-esteem, teamwork and respect.
