Keegans Irish Pub in other cities:
Update April 8, 22Walked in about 7:10pm, and sat down and a very empty bar. Brunette bartender could not be bothered to look my way or walk over. Waited 10 minutes, and after the only other couple told me about how their food had out ice cold... I was done. Left with no one saying a word.Im so done. The food has been getting progressively worse but the service has been the reason that even though its 5 minutes from my house, I wont go back.-----Been there a few times, good but insistent. The ONE bartender was badly over-run trying to manage bar, restaurant, and whatever else she was doing at 3pm on a Thursday. Also, the menu is typically fabulous and true to taste except today. Tried the world famous Haddock - yeah, no. Way, way, way over soaked in oil, and flavor was basically oil, not fish. Skip this and go for the Fish n Chips which never disappoints.
They have been shored staffed since December, food has taken 2 hours just to get to our table. It didn’t come out at the same time either. By the time everyone got their food, it was over 45 minutes. I am shocked and disappointed in Keegan’s. This needs to be fixed I am surprised they are still even in business.
Stopped here for a little St. Paddys festivities with it being on Sunday, we missed the daytime shenanigans. They still had a decent crowd and the staff was great, my first time here but I would definitely come back!! Casual fun crowd, nice size place and outdoor seating also. You have to try the corned beef springrolls.. trust me they are delish!
The food is great, some of the best chicken tenders I’ve had, obviously breaded fresh to make my meal. Same deal with the fried pickles. The portions are sizable. The owner was my bartender, a personable guy and good conversationalist. I live out of town but will surely visit again when I am. Highly recommend.
New ownership. Food quality is not as good. Beer selection has declined. Boooooo!Update: very worried about my old favorite neighborhood pub. Walked in tonight (Friday), place almost empty, vibe was a snooze, took several minutes for a server to come to our table, I asked if the online menu was correct. Ordered the beer I wanted. “Oh, we don’t have that.”I don’t think this place is going to last.
Its been a while since I ate at Keegans. Decided to try take out on Sunday. Great choice. Had a Hamburger Patty Melt that was melt in your mouth delicious. Awesome burger. And the Brussel Sprouts side was crispy and charred. Just a great lunch. Ordered on line, and it was waiting for me when arrived. Looking forward to dining in soon.
Came here from out of town and decided to give this place a try. Our bartender, Jessica, was FANTASTIC!! She had great recommendations and picked out perfect beers for my husband and made perfect drinks for my picky self. The food was amazing (smoked wings and Reuben spring rolls...OMG!) You should definitely give this place a try!
Fabulous place - tasty food and great beer selection. I dont go out much during the pandemic, but stopped in and was pleased to see the precautions they are taking to make their customers and staff safe. Only downside was had to wait a bit for parking, there was a lot of food delivery service activity in the parking lot, but just be patient and know those guys are trying to make a living and serving the community! Thanks Keegans! Will be back soon!
We had not been there for a long time and stopped in to visit with one of the staff. Unfortunately Im sad to say she is moving away. We didnt stay long but it seemed like new ownership was just what the place needed. Im not sure when the new owners took over but they seem to be doing a great job. The staff was friendly and attentive service was great as well as the musician who played solo. Ill be back soon for a meal and a beverage.
Aweful!! Please save your money! Not worth it! First off the 8 of us ordered 3 apps. All of which were dry over cooked or not right. But no problem we didnt complain. Apps took like 30 minutes. They were dead on a Saturday at 445pm so why the long wait. Entrees took even longer. My pasta had no sauce but just oil.....why? I sent mine back immediately and did not eat it. I told the server hey my dads paying for all this can u take the pasta off? She comes back and says no problem we took it. LIES! After we pay an look more closely at the recipt we definitely were charged 16$ for food that we were told would be comped. There were so many things wrong asking for the pasta to be taken off was more than fair. I will be sure to tell everyone I know not to eat at this place. Drinks werent great. I will not be returning.
My mother surprised me and took me here for my birthday today. The staff was amazing, our waitress was on top of it and so cheery such a breath of fresh air, it was AMAZING food and we all really enjoyed the patio...such a terrific place and idea! Thanks all for making my day special 😊
Very attentive and friendly service. Burgers were cooked perfectly to order, although the top bun disintegrated when trying to eat it. I was hoping to try the deviled eggs appetizer and the Krispy Kreme bread pudding dessert, but sadly they did not have any of either. Oh well, maybe next time!
Me and my boyfriend’s favorite place for years. Everyone from the owners to staff are awesome, the food and service are both amazing too. The only bar I have been to since COVID that has followed CDC guidelines and provided a socially distant and safe environment. We are so grateful for Keegan’s.
Very negative experience. I ordered chicken sandwich and was overcooked. Had 30 dollar gift card for winning trivia. They only took off 24. When I told them they only took 24 vs 30 manager was acting very condescending telling me he knows he took 30 off. Finally after he researched what they did wrong came back and said he never took the 30 off yet never apologized and didnt even talk to me. Keegans owner rather than taking accountability for their actions and offering an apology instead bashes me.
One of my favorite bars in Atlanta! The staff is friendly and the food/drinks are always spot on! They have taken many steps to stay up to date with covid protocols, and have gone above and beyond to make sure they’re guests feel safe and comfortable during their time here. However, if you’re still weary of going out to dine inside a restaurant, don’t worry, they offer delivery through many different portals! If you haven’t tried Keegan’s, you’re missing out!
We went to Keegans Irish Pub after a company meeting. There were 17 of us and we were seated at separate tables. The service could have been a little better. We asked for lemons for our water twice before getting up and going to the bar and asking for lemons. The food was really good. I had the salmon BLT sandwich and sweet potato fries. Everyone at my table enjoyed their food.
Me and my family have been here twice now, it’s wonderful. Food is variable and tasty with a great atmosphere. The whole staff (including the owners, who are so fun!!) have been nothing short of welcoming. I’ll continue to give this awesome restaurant my business for years. I’ve found a new go-to place!!
St. Patricks day! Had a great time. Of course it was crazy busy. But they told us it would be an hour wait, we sat down in ten minutes. That was awesome. The food was really good. My wife got shepherds pie and it looked (and tasted ;)) amazing! Service wasnt amazing, but again it was St. Patricks day so it was packed out. Price was a little high for the amount and quality of food I felt. But it could have been affected by the amount that they had to put out due to a holiday. Overall we enjoyed it and I dont believe you would be disappointed.
Had their chicken pot pie and Mulligan stew which were both wonderful although I think the chicken pot pie was a little heavy for my taste, delicious but very decadent. Extremely good prices and value for money. Great location. Wonderful Irish theme and the bartender was very attentive. Fantastic selection of berr and Thursday nights there are $4 drafts. We will be back.
Due to covid there are no menus. Instead they direct you to use a QSR link but the waitress didnt know how to use it. Found the menu online anyway. Irish spring rolls are egg rolls and shame on a professional restaurateur for not knowing the dif. Menu is confusing so ask questions. Food came out quickly and hot. Will come back in the evening to check out the bar and entertainment. Willing to eat here again.
I have been here three times now and each time has been great. The manager walks the floor and says hi to everyone and asks if everything is ok. The staff has always been kind, friendly, and fun to deal with. The food is excellent, the Irish Egg Rolls are amazing. Friday nights they have live music. Best place in town to unwind.
Love it here. The live music was right on point. Food amazing and easy to order... just stopped by while being in the area but easily can become a regular as the staff was super friendly. Very refreshing to find a place like this. Recommended... pot roast, some deviled eggs they have with bacon.. and bangers mash I think is the name of it.
Love this place and have been going for years. Always a great environment and great service. I like the Thirsty Thursday every week as you get top beers for $4 and a side of Irish Springs Rolls is a must have every time. Thanks for being a great local pub that always appreciates their regular guests!
Keegan’s is my spot. The owners are the nicest people, the servers and bartenders are so friendly, the food is outstanding (seriously, orders of magnitude beyond just bland bar food), the place is clean, they have an awesome rotating beer selection, they do events (live music, poker, trivia, etc), and during COVID time, they’ve been so careful with distanced tables, mandatory masks for all employees, hand sanitizer stations... I really can’t brag on this place enough.
Stumbled in here on a whim and were happy we did! After mentioning this was our first visit, the manager came over and comped us their most popular appetizer. Thank you Brett.Meatloaf was really good with a tangy brown gravy. There are many Irish recipes to enjoy. And the wife enjoyed the craft beer selection.Make room for dessert: bread pudding with ice cream.
My wife ordered a burger, and a few bites in, she noticed the taste, color, and texture of the meat was off. She began to feel nauseous. The staff was really nice about it, but when we got home, she threw up. I work in the foodservice industry, and based on the smell and texture of the meat, that burger meat was either already expired when it was cooked or held for too long after cooking. I can not recommend Keegan’s as a safe place to eat.
There are several issues with this place. First of all, they didnt ask how to cook the burger and when I explicitly said I want it medium, they said there was no such an option and as I imagined the burger was so stiff and overcooked. Then the beer tasted like water, and the server was not attentive. In fact she brought the food and the starter together. Overall, I had a bad experience in this place and do not recommend it.
This place is great. Lively atmosphere, great food & drinks, outstanding service, and the owners go above and beyond to make sure everyone feels welcomed. I applaud their efforts at keeping everyone safe by following COVID guidelines. Do yourself a favor and visit Keegans!
Honestly the only reason we go here is because our favorite trivia host (Aaron) plays here on Mondays. The food is OK. Basic bar food. The chicken fingers are pretty damn good but thats the only thing Ive had thats particularly memorable. The beer list is never updated. You just have to walk up to the bar and look because the servers doing know what they have either. The servers are almost always friendly, but they always seem like theyre on their first day on the job. Never quite seem to know whats going on.
Gave this a 2 because the food was actually pretty good. However, our waitress was absolutely hammered. She could barely take down our order, so it wasn’t a surprise that she didn’t put in our appetizers. Drink in the job, fine whatever. I’m not that picky. But she could barely talk by the end of our meal.
Excellent Irish Pub atmosphere. We sat at the bar, highly recommended, and enjoyed ice cold beer and some incredible food. We ordered a Cape Cod Reuben and a St. Paddymelt. Both were oustanding. I cant remember the bartenders name but she was very nice. Wed definitely go back.
Keegans is a fun place to go on a Sunday. They have trivia from 6-8. We meet up with friends every week. The beer selection is great. The wait staff is super friendly and the food is gooooooood. I have had a Reuben and a club sandwich so far. Everyone in my party has enjoyed their food. Come in out. See if you can beat us.
While the sandwich was excellent the waitress was rude and couldnt have cared less. She never did put in our appetizer order, tried to take our meals away while we were clearly still eating them and disappeared for 20 mins (until I found someone to track her down) after leaving dessert. A dessert that was clearly missing the ice cream (despite her arguing that they put fully melted ice cream on it - how is that a reply)! She then threw the checks down and then took our cards without a word or looking at us. Now, an hour later, Im still so annoyed about the experience I wish Id told a manager. Her customer service skills are horrible! I used to visit here every few weeks but will now avoid just to avoid her.
My wife and I stopped in for lunch and really enjoyed Keegans. I had the pot roast sandwich, which was fantastic! My wife had the grilled cheese and tomato biaque, perfect for a cold day. The service was very good, especially our server Bradley. We will definitely be coming back.
Waitress forgot to put in my order, so I was the only person at my table without my food. By the time I realized something was up, it made no sense to order as our party was on a tight timeframe. There were really no excuses as it was a Thursday evening during happy hour and the place was half empty. Beyond that I ordered a bottled beer and a canned beer and neither tasted right. Checked the brewing date on both and one was 6 months old and the other was 15 months old (and the latter was from a brewery a few miles up the road). I dont let beer get that old in my own fridge, let alone expect that in a bar. The draft beer I finally settled on was cold and fresh but wasnt even listed on the menu. Worst restaurant experience Ive had in a long time. Avoid ordering anything they dont have on tap.
The staff is great at Vinings Keegans. The trivia guy, Aaron, always makes it fun on Sundays and Mondays. Its truly a neighborhood pub feel. The new (as of last year) ownership brought in new events and entertainment with the pool tables and dart boards in the back. The taps rotate well, and they added some nice cocktails.
This place opened recently and we were excited to have a new place to try. As a new Irish Pub, we tried to do their highlights, so went with fish and chips and the meatloaf. Sadly, both seemed like they could have come from a grocery stores freezer section. I think some Van Camps fish could actually have been an improvement. The ambiance was nice and our server was polite, but I dont understand what award the menu items have won... Also, the beer seemed to be overpriced for what it was. $4 bud light and miller is pretty high and doesnt want me to stay there as a pub.
I ordered through Uber eats and my order was incorrect. I was trying to reach this restaurant for over 3 hours to get this order rectified and the line was busy! When I finally got through to someone she basically told me my only options was to get a refund through Uber or I would have to come to the restaurant and get the correct order. Its now almost dinner time and I ordered this for my dad who was sick and unable to drive there. I will not order from them ever again! This could have been a better experience if your line was ringing and if your customer service was better!
Geez what is Bretts problem! I see Im not the only one who thinks he needs meds. I stopped by Keegans when I was in Atlanta and had a few drinks and while I was at there he completely abused and mistreated his staff in front of the customers, including my waitress who was very sweet. And the few seconds he stopped by my table to check on me I could tell he was didnt want to talk to me because he seemed like he was annoyed with all of the customers. I dont usually write these types of reviews but, I was in restaurant management for 20 years before I retired and when youre running a bar, its important that you make customers feel comfortable. I mean the food is alright but, its nothing too special you cant find anywhere else in Atlanta so, having a cloud of negative energy like Brett walking around the place doesnt do it any favors. And frankly, if youre having problems with your servers customers, dont need to see it, it is very unprofessional and makes the restaurant look bad.
Ive tried the place a few times the food is great but the staff has no sense of urgency about anything. I drink Baileys all the time and the bartender gave me something that clearly wasnt Baileys. Im a bartender as well and I would never try to deceive my guests and thats what happened in my case. I will continue to eat there but I doubt if Ill have a drink there any time soon.
First it was trivia night. Loud. The bar was getting more attention than the main dining room. No drink refills. Not even an offer. The food. Both dishes were not hot. Even tho both dishes were very easy. Server couldnt remember who ordered what at the next table. Very ordinary. The place is worn out. Oh. No one at the front door. Had to wait on someone to come from the bar. At least i got AMX points.
I am disappointed. My fish tacos were excellent. My dates Irish stew was too vinegary, Vinegar in stew? My grand daughters chicken pot pie floating in oil...like four tablespoons! Their drink special was a coconut rum drink badly watered down. Lastly, Krispy Kreeme bread pudding is good, but the coffee we ordered came after we had finished. This location has an amateur for management. This restaurant will not be here next year unless they tighten up.
Its a classic Irish pub heavy dark wooden structure with green overtones and brass accents. There is the standard pub grub from fish n chips to Guinness infused dishes and sauces. Additionally, there is lighter fare such as sandwiches and salads all of which are unremarkable but likable enough to order. The bar sports taps featuring many Irish and international favorites, but of course the mothers milk of Ireland Guinness is most prominent and popular. Keegans is s favorite watering hole and can be very busy and crowded and parking is limited.
WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD A BAR!!!! A couple nights ago my friends and I were followed out of Keegan’s in Vinings by Sean (the manager/possible owner of this location) and falsely accused of not leaving a tip. He asked us about our experience of the service because his server had not been tipped. We were immediately taken aback and confused because everyone in our group had tipped the waitress. Once we explained that we did in fact tip on our food and drinks, Sean went back inside. The fact that he followed us out of the restaurant with this false accusation was highly disturbing so we decided to follow up and seek further clarification. I spoke with Sean again and requested that he pull our receipts to help us understand why we were accused of not tipping. We explained that we felt uncomfortable about being followed, approached, and falsely accused, particularly when tipping is not a requirement to begin with. Upon pulling our receipts he apologized and stated that we did in fact tip the server. He clarified that one of my friends (who had multiple tabs throughout the night) did not tip on one of them which consisted of a couple of beers. We spoke at length with Sean about his decision to follow us out of the restaurant regarding this matter and how uncomfortable it made us feel.I have never in my life been followed out of a restaurant and quite frankly found it disheartening with us being a group of Black patrons in a predominately White setting. Sean attempted to reassure us that his actions had nothing to do with us being Black and offered to take care of us the next time we came in. My husband and our friends were excited to have a bar with karaoke within walking distance from our homes but after the way we were treated we will NEVER be returning. We will take our business to McCrays Tavern, our other neighborhood bar who also has Karaoke Thursdays and not to mention much better food and service. To think I almost suggested that our HOA have a social at this place. I sincerely hope this review will encourage them to their examine their practices that resulted in the terrible experience we had at their establishment.
My husband and I were just there at around 7:30pm on Memorial Day and sat at the bar for 10 minutes. The bartender didnt even acknowledge we were there even though she passed by a couple of times in front of us. There were only four people seating at the bar, so no excuse to say it was crouded. No eye contact no nothing. So we just left not to come back again. Ill take my money to other business.
You have to try the irish spring rolls. They are the best. I get them every time im in town(i drive truck for Knight transportation) and i even get an extra order to take on the road. I cant wait to come back. Been craving them for awhile now. KEEGANS.......DONT EVER CHANGE!!!!!!!!!!!UPDATE3-1-19 I came to Atlanta for work today. Im here for a few days. Ive had the Irish spring rolls twice now since Ive been here. Im so relieved I got my craving taken care of
Fantastic .....used to be til...very disappointed tonite. Waited and waited to be seated as was assigned. Bar was little busy...only one booth of 4 in dining area. Bartender saw us...no one ever.came...went.sat down waited and waited...no one ever showed...need a manager...
Excelent place, we visited after the Atl Utd game last Sunday and it was great, extensive beer and spirits selection and the service is top notch, we didnt try any food this times but I expect it to be as good as the other times we ate there ... great ambiance during the trivia but is sad to see that some people use their phones to look for the answer, but that is not the establishment fault... all and all great place for a beer, cocktail, a quick bite or a full dinner... dont miss this place...

2022-03-18Great food, awesome Irish Pub. Really enjoyed the St. Patrick’s Day celebrations today. Staff is the best you can find.

2021-05-08I had the Southern Style Grilled Cheese sandwich that came with a Tomato Bisque and I ordered the Truffle Fries. Everything was delicious. The sandwich was made with pimento cheese, bacon and avocado! It was so tasty. The tomato bisque was perfect and very thick, not a runny soup at all. The fries were a perfect addition to it. Our waiter, Nick, was very attentive and helpful. They had live music and a patio. Will definitely be back to try more items on their menu.

2022-01-06Very disappointed. Ordered on GrubHub and delivery was on time. The food on the other hand, extremely disappointed. We ordered fish and chips, no chips, no tarter, nothing but 3 pieces of fried fish for $20.Also ordered a cup of soup. $5 for about 2 oz of lousy tomato bisque. Really, I had exactly 3 small spoonfuls of soup. The small 2-3 oz Styrofoam cup wasnt even half full. Same with a side of Mac and cheese. Pretty pathetic to even charge someone for these unbelievable small sides.Ordered fish tacos, nothing but cold flour tortillas a little fish and sliver of avocado for $15. Tops the list of the worse fish taco and food delivery experience weve ever had. $50 delivered for the most pathetic meal weve had delivered. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. Especially for delivery. Sad meal.

2021-09-15Wheres the meat?! Very pleasant service this evening on the patio by waitress Ana and Alexandra (the Great) who brought out food... but the privileged ones couldnt spare a couple extras slices of pastrami since my Irish Egg Rolls looked NOTHING like THEIRS or ANY CUSTOMER pictures so were mostly bland cabbage. Manager and another guy talked to me like I was stupid enuf to believe the difference is due to angles and slicing...(really?) pastrami meat is pre measured and the same each time. Only apology came from the sweet attentive waitress. Typical treatment. Guess the guys think Id believe anything. Isnt this the 21st century ? U can tell which photo is mine.

2022-06-25Our server and the cook were extremely nice but the food was very poor. I was actually surprised because I was expecting something good. The salmon was dry, and mashed potatoes were tasteless, Everything was bland - The waitress said she could only take 10% off my bill and I just accepted because I wanted the experience to be over. Very nice people, but food needs improvement, especially when ppl have to wait a while for it to come out.

2022-02-24I come here about twice a month. I have learned to love stout beers after coming here. Great flavors. If you asked for my review 3 months I would have given them 3 stars for inconsistent and sometimes cold food. But it looks like theyve gotten it together because I havent had a problem in months.Friendly patrons and staff. Visit today.

2022-05-21This is very different than what we used to experience when we frequented it regularly. The atmosphere was dull, the bartender mumbled and wasn’t overly friendly or interactive like you expect at a bar that had 1 other person sitting at it…and she dumped about 3 pints of Guinness out because she couldn’t figure out how to correctly pour a proper pint at an Irish pub. We were definitely disappointed because we always enjoyed going there but the atmosphere was depressing, sadly we won’t be going back

2022-03-18I just visited this place with my family for a nice st patricks day. I had waited over 45 minutes before I even got a menu and I had one server walk past our table 3 times after we had already told her no one waited on us. I understand you are busy but I came to eat alongside everyone else there. After 1 hour of waiting with no service we got up and left! Horrible service.

2022-03-27I ordered the Finnegans Fry Fish with Fries. The online order prompted me to select another side item, so I selected onion rings. After arriving home, I noticed that the french fries were missing. I called to complain and received poor service. Instead of listening to my concerns, the person was very argumentative with me. She told me that people who order Fish and Fries would have to specify that they want french fries. Seriously??????? Also, the fish was overcooked and the onion rings lacked taste. This is my first and last visit to this place.
