Keith has built a really great business with Keppner Boxing and Fitness. Hes a driven, high energy guy and the coaches he brings on board exemplify the same persona! If youre looking to have fun, get fit, and learn some great boxing technique theres no other choice in the Athens area!
I just have to brag on this gym..My son started last week, the coaches here are unbelievably friendly, not even his teachers greet him like they do here! There’s so much Positive energy and the coaches all seem so happy to see you when u enter the gym! I’m extremely happy with our decision getting a membership here, even I want to try the classes! If your ever looking for a great facility, check this gym out. Their first class is always free and you won’t be disappointed the slightest. Judgement free zone here, and the friendly staff are the kindest ppl I’ve met! Grateful to be a part of this gym!
The best gym experience I have ever had. I had the privilege of working for this gym for a year. Keiths dedication to his family, his clients, and his employees is really beyond human sometimes. The coaches are all so informed, caring, and awesome. The community is nothing I have seen in another gym with the unending support, love, and camaraderie. Seriously, this is the best opportunity in Athens for a good work out community.Thank you for teaching me so much!
Ive been a member of Keppner Boxing for about 3 weeks now and I can honestly say its been wonderful so far. The workouts are so much fun while still being challenging and Keith, Lissa, and all their staff are so friendly and supportive while still pushing you to do your very best. Also, the other members have been so nice and overall, its just a great environment to go to workout. Im down about 10lbs already and look forward to seeing my fitness progress over the next year with them. When in doubt, try a class sometime and guaranteed youll love it there too!
It’s hard to say enough good things about Keppner boxing—I’ll try and do it justice but it’s something you really ought to experience for yourself.First off—the coaching is amazing. Keith and his staff are knowledgeable and hands on. It really feels like you have a personal trainer...even if you’re in a class with twenty other folks. He cares about your development goals and it really shows. The workouts are also spectacular. I’ve been going there for at least five years now, and they still challenge me without feeling stale. They will definitely push you beyond what you’d do by yourself, and in a positive, fun environment that adjusts to everyone’s skill and fitness level.I recommend this gym whether you’re looking to get in better shape or wanting to get into boxing.
I cannot say enough great things about this gym! I have been going about 2 months now to the FitBox class. It is AWESOME! The coaches know you by name pretty much immediately. Everyone is so positive and encouraging. I leave each time feeling so accomplished! Highly recommend giving this gym a try if it is something youve been thinking about doing!
Keith and his staff are absolutely wonderful! My 7 year old throughly enjoyed his first boxing class and the coaches were so knowledgeable and patient. Keppner Boxing Gym really promotes community and wellness, through boxing. I would highly recommend this gym to people of all ages!
I’ve trained at three different gyms across three states over the course of 2.5 years with almost a year of that at Keppner and this is by far one of the worst experiences if you are looking to advance your actual boxing skills. This gym is set up for mostly fitness boxing. I understand why Coach K has things set up the way he does for the sake of his business, but I personally feel like I’ve learned less boxing skills here than either of my other two gyms. Coach K is great and works hard to run this successful business. If you are looking to achieve fitness goals while wearing boxing gloves this is your spot, but if your looking to develop your boxing skills I’d consider another location. I’ve got three main problems with this gym.1.) you can immediately join the contact (considered the highest level here) program from your first day signing up for this gym. At both of my previous gyms you had to start at the lowest level class and prove to the instructors you had developed your skills enough to advance to the next level class. The current design diminishes the experience for more seasoned fighters. If my memory serves me correct the number of contact classes has been reduced and moved to 7pm at night which is a bit late for anyone working a 9-5.2.) Sparring has gotten out of control. Granted it has been about a month since I last attended sparring. I’ve attended 10+ times here and I’ve seen little to no emphasis on safety and protecting your partner. people are throwing shots at virtual full power. At both of my other gyms I heard “keep it light” so many times it’s burned into my brain. It’s extremely hard to develop new combinations and better yourself when you constantly trying to avoid a concussion or injury from recklessness. I’ve rarely if ever heard any of the coaches running sparring emphasize this. The last sparring session I attended I watched someone who had been in the contact program less than two weeks get pummeled by one of your coaches to the point he was stumbling around the ring and almost fell on his face. Any ref in a sanctioned fight would have called a TKO long before it got as severe as it was. None of your coaches seemed to care, notice, or even check on the fighter after the round ended. He was obviously severely concussed. I get it boxing is a dangerous sport, occasionally you’re going to get a bloody nose or you head rung, but this shouldn’t be as frequent of an occurrence as I’ve witnessed here. As an owner you should consider that most of the people sparring will never take a sanctioned fight and purely want to develop themselves without risk of concussion or injury every time they step in the ring.3.) Lastly you have a specific coach. Coach Trey to be exact that keeps a tally of the number of noses he has broken In sparring. Most of them have been students and was the coach I referenced above. I fully understand you have fighters (mainly your coaches) taking sanctioned fights that need a higher level of sparring, but what I had seen out of Trey is pure bullying. At my previous gyms I felt the safest in the ring with my coaches because I knew they knew how to look out for my safety and help me develop my skills without putting me in a dangerous situation. This is not the case with coach Trey.
I’ve been going to Keppner Boxing consistently for the last 3 years. This is a great gym with excellent workouts that challenge you to go above & beyond. Each workout is fresh & I always leave feeling like I accomplished something. I also love that I’ve learned a lot about the sport of boxing. It’s a great, positive atmosphere & everyone is super friendly.
By far the best workout I have had in Athens. As a student, it is hard to find the time to be consistent with my workouts, but training with Coach Keith makes you feel like youre part of a family so you really strive to make it to the classes. Coach will push you to become better than you honestly thought you could be. If you really want to see a change in your physique, I wouldnt hesitate to train here.
Keppner Boxing is an amazing experience through and through. The coaching and reception staff are attentive and receptive to individual client needs and they have created an environment is fun, friendly, and all around positive. I always have amazing workouts whenever I go and they help me to keep my body healthy and my mind sharp all while learning potentially valuable skills in a safe and controlled environment.
I love this gym so much. There a million good things to say about it. I would recommend it to anyone in my life. There are two things that keep me from giving it five stars. The first is the hours. I often want to work out between the hours of 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm. On Fridays its only open until 11:00 am. The membership price is higher than a lot of alternatives and it kind of sucks not being able to work out when it fits in my schedule. The second thing is the music. They play the same playlist over and over and over and it gets really old hearing the same stuff every time Im in there.
When looking for places to train at in Athens this one was on the top of my list and for good reason. I was immediately impressed with the level of professionalism, engagement, the intensity of the class, the knowledge of the instructors, the format of the classes, and the condition of the equipment. If you want to learn to box look no further than this place.
Going here was one of the best decisions Ive ever made. I used to be nervous about working out, but after trying out a class here, I was hooked. Not only is the facility is great, but the staff and coaches here are what sells it. They always push you to do your best and never judge if you need a moment to catch a breath. The other people who come here are great too. Its been five months now, and everyone that Ive met has been both kind and patient. As far as the classes go, not only are they fun, but they are diverse too. You never end up doing the same routine day-to-day, so it never gets boring. Whether it be strength training or a focus on overall fitness, they have it here.So what are you waiting for? Stop wondering and come join the family :)
Great place with great people! I’ve been around fitness centers and boxing gyms for almost 40 years and Keppner is by far the best. Coach Keith, Lissa and all the staff are experirnced and knowledgeable and really care about their clients. Whether you just want to get in great shape or if you’re an experienced boxer and want to go to the next level, I highly recommend Keppner! 👍🏻👍🏻
I LOVE Keppner Boxing! The workouts are always unique and challenging. The coaches are motivating, super friendly, and very knowledgeable. The other members are really nice and have a wide range of abilities/levels of fitness. The gym is in a great central location and offers really reasonably priced class and open gym packages. Before starting at Keppner Boxing, I ran maybe 3x per week and lifted weights about 2x per week- and I would definitely say I have gotten MUCH stronger since starting here. I actually started classes with zero boxing experience - which was not at all an intimidation factor here- and now I dont think I could go a week without boxing!
On the day I left treatment for addiction I joined this gym and began a wonderful journey of fitness and personal development. The training I received was world-class and the culture was welcoming and family-oriented. I was honored to continue my journey as a coach and trainer here and I couldnt have done it without Keppner Boxing!
Keith and Lissa are all around great people! The energy and enthusiasm Keith brings to each and every class is contagious. He has a vast knowledge of boxing and fitness. He also genuinely cares for his fighters and fitness clients, making him second to none as a couch. He leads from the front with his staff providing the same quality of service and training day in and day out. If you are looking for gold standard boxing training and the most intense workout around, this is the place for you.
Keppner boxing has changed the way I look at fitness! At Keppner we learn, support, and motivate each other, all while getting a killer workout. With a variety of classes, this gym is inclusive and challenging to all. When you walk into Keppner you see all ages, genders, and levels of boxing. Its a great place to get educated on boxing and get in shape at the same time!! I dont think Ill ever find a gym I love more.
Keppner Boxing is AMAZING! Lissa and Keith are passionate about their patrons and the local community. They have volunteered to host events benefitting the local community in their facility and they can be seen given their time and expertise to support our local community. If you are looking for a place with great people, great coaches, and great workouts that will challenge you regardless of your age, skill, or fitness level – then Keppner Boxing is the place for you! Don’t just take my word for it – COME TRY A CLASS, TODAY!!!
As a full time UGA student, my schedule isn’t always super flexible. Fortunately, Keppner Boxing offers a variety of sessions that I both enjoy, and fit well into my schedule. I personally participate in the Contact program, and I look forward to EVERY single session. High points of my week! The community is SO spectacular to interact with and makes the sessions even more enjoyable.
I would 100% recommend anyone to Keppner. I took classes almost everyday when I was in school at UGA and was in the best shape of my life. Keith is one of the most passionate, caring, hard working people I know, and would do anything to help you achieve your goals. He always pushed me to my limits, but made it fun at the same time. His classes are always different, which makes each day interesting. First class is tough, but it gets easier! You’ll take classes side by side with first-time boxers, and ex-professionals, which makes for a one of a kind experience. Lots of folks start off taking the cardio classes and move into amateur fighting, which is awesome to see. Plus, the fight nights are a blast!! Keppner Boxing is like a home away from home, and Keith, his wife, and the rest of the staff will make you feel so welcome!
Really enjoyed my experience at this gym! I tried the fitness boxing class, and liked it a lot. The staff is friendly and welcoming, while they will also push you to do better and work harder. We did a variety of moves, mostly focusing on the fitness side of it, with a little boxing thrown in to keep it interesting. Would highly recommend giving it a try!
Ive been going to the cardio class for 2 years. Its awesome... Coach and his instructors will know you after the first time you come in. The vibe is always positive and motivating. I leave exhausted and feeling great every time. Its a great mix of fitness and strength training.
Ive been going to Keppner Boxing for about a year now and honestly its the best boxing gym Ive ever been to. The staff are great, always remember your name and push you to succeed. The workouts are always tough but doable and I feel great afterward. Ive lost about 30 pounds doing these workouts. Thanks Kep!
Great environment, coach really makes sure to pay attention to everyone individually to help each person improve regardless of skill level. This really is a challenging workout and I have never regretted going to a class, I always feel as though I have improved physically and learned more about boxing. Sparring is also always a great experience and coach does a great job of matching people up to spar. I would highly recommend this gym to anyone wanting to go to the next level or learn how to box!
Keith and Lissa are the dedicated owners that kick your butt regardless if you are at your best or worst. This is definitely a family-friendly place. This is the best gym I have been a part of, they hold themselves to the highest standard of customer service and make it their business to make you feel welcome and part of the family all the while not letting you slack off on your work out
Keith and his gym are the real deal. He and his fiance, Lissa, provide professional training and attentive coaching support to everyone who comes into the gym. They creates a welcoming and supportive environment for all the athletes, whether novice or professional. The cardio boxing classes are very challenging, full of variety, and his attention and instruction to boxers in his ring is superior.
I have been many gyms before. This is the best place to loose weight for sure. There are many options to visit. All staff is very helpful and friendly. I have seen many people, including myself, had an extreme body transformations. Its locally owned. There is also professional boxing side of this gym. That means you can learn boxing. Dont wait to take a free class and see what I am trying to tell. #bestplace2train4sure
Honestly it’s amazing how attentive the staff are. The gym is very resourceful with tons of classes that really helped develop my skills and physique. At the same time, the workout is different every time but is always intense. I’m in the best shape of my life and I’m having fun doing it.

2022-01-08Truly one of the best experiences I’ve ever had in my life. I started boxing right when the pandemic started and trained at Keppner Boxing for a year and a half. This place has a TREMENDOUS culture. Whether you want to learn the basics of boxing, get in shape or eventually compete, you can achieve all of these goals at Keppner. Great people, great coaches, great place. I cannot possibly recommend this place enough. 10/10. Will really miss the gym but thankful for the experience!!

2022-03-09Honestly I cannot say anything negative about this gym. Literally everybody there from the coaches to fellow members make me feel welcome and at home. I’ve been to other gyms and this one, by far, is the only one I’ve enjoyed going to and look forward to going each and every single day. 10/10 would recommend anybody who is trying to better themselves mentally and physically to come try out. Nothing but love for everyone there!

2022-07-25Been a member for a few years. Coming back after not being consistent and the fitness boxing, corebox, and bootcamp are awesome. Supportive coaches that push you but support your limits. Every class is a new experience. A positive experience every time I walk through the doors. I have never looked forward to going to a gym until I walked through Keppner boxings doors. I always felt awkward at gyms and in classes but this has been one of the best fitness decisions I have ever made. The accountability and communication with coaches has really helped me and supported me during a time when going to the gym was the last thing I wanted but what I needed most.
