Kroger in other cities:
Beware of additional charges on online ordersCheck your order and check your receipt before you leave the parking lot. Unlike Walmart where you can resolve issues through the app, with Kroger you will need to drive back to the store and take your receipt into customer service to resolve any issues. We had several discounts that were not applied which resulted in additional charges to our credit card. After arriving home we realized the receipt was incorrect and were notified of an additional charge to the card. The app has no way to provide feedback and call to customer service resulted in them telling us to bring the receipt back to the store.
When visiting family this store is the closest. We were in town a few weeks ago, and i ndecided that others should know about my experiences. The store is always nice and clean and decently stocked. During these hard times they remain open and their staff is great. A few months ago I had a bad experience at the customer service counter the woman was rude and short with me for no reason. I was dreading having to go back to the rude manager lady that helped me last time. I get in line and I wait, hoping to get someone new. This time I get Marisa. She was so great! She answered my questions and helped me quickly. Even though they were slammed with people getting food she was nice and kind. It really made up for the last time I was in the store. She is the kind of worker that all stores should have.
I go to Kroger at night to avoid the busy hours. And typically this goes smoothly and without incident. Majority of the employees are super helpful and nice. I use WIC and I know that it is extra hassle for whomever is working, so Im very patient and understanding with them. Last night there was a lady Ive never been helped by and I explained I had WIC. She got very rude and judgemental even though she said her daughter also had WIC. She chewed me out about using too many vouchers and continuously made comments like are they expiring today or something the whole transaction. Not only was she rude about me using them she was instructing me to use them incorrectly and caused me to have to get items I didnt want at the time because she made me sign them before even scanning the items. I am 6 months pregnant and my fiance has to work 6 if not 7 days a week. I shouldnt have been made to feel bad about coming in later (I was at the register 30 minutes before closing) when that is the only time I couldve gotten there due to my fiances work schedule. And then when she was done checking me out she apologized for the system errors, but again I know that happens so that wasnt what was bothering me. I told her I had no issue with the systems it was just her attitude. She then proceeded to follow us to the door, slam it and locked it. There were still 10 more minutes left that they were open. I am absolutely appalled at this womans behavior and I will seriously consider going elsewhere to do my grocery shopping. Some people just shouldnt work in customer service.
Really just wow! After 6 and more years been a Kroger customer, and the first time I am returning an item that I Discover it’s not good after I got home went back there to Kroger and the staff was working there at this exact time are incompetent people and this is the least I can say, the lady on the register start to act like she is a meat expert and telling that’s okay, and nonsense excuses, like it’s her own meat! and it just makes me feel like i’m not even a customer or a regular, made me feel like stranger so be it
Went in to this store tonight and the cashier was very sick. The one that was going to check me out could barely breathe. When asked if she was ok and should she be there she said she had no choice. I know times are hard but if u r sick u should be at home and the manager of these places need to make sure there employees are able to work and are not showing signs of being sick. If they are sick send them home. We have small children in our home and dont need this mess going around.
We like shopping there, but their sale items can be frustrating. This weekekend, for example, the Friday/ Saturday only sales were picked over by mid-day on Friday, some items were completely out of stock, and they wont give you a rain check for the Fri/Sat items either. In typical retail fashion, they put these fantastic deals out in the weekly flyers, then only order in and display very, very limited quantities, just to lure people into the store so you get frustrated and buy a more expensive item.
My wife and I love Kroger, the staff is awesome they have dedicated staff to make self service checkout flow smoothly always and they open extra registers the moment lines get long. Great produce, meats and store brands that taste better than the name brands. I cant say enough good things about Kroger ,its AWESOME !!!!!
This store is great, even with a multitude of shoppers its never over run. Theres a fresh sushi bar, sushi is made in store and is incredible. Deli, bakery, fresh produce, pharmacy, etc. Staff is full of warmth and smiles, thank you miss Kelly. Store is spotless and well organized. They also have recycling for plastic bags if used.
Three times in a row, when Ive had more stuff to buy than self checkout would have been a good idea, ive come home with items missing. Obviously i cant prove it. Once i can see as an accident. But 3 times? I have a whole bag of groceries missing. Im willing to bet im not the only one. This store is overpriced, rotten produce on the shelves, never shopping here again. Youre stealing money from your customers. Get bent.
The products freshness and availability are fine. The music over the p.a is loud and the announcements are VERY loud. It is to the point where it is hard to have a conversation in parts of the store. Also very cold throughout the store. This is my least liked Kroger in the area by far.
Kroger is very organized with employees ready to assist you. They will help you locate items and are always quick at the check out areas. If lines get long you can here the supervisor call for all cashiers to come to the front and man their registers. I always have a positive shopping experience at Kroger!
This store is always very clean and products are neatly displayed. I had trouble finding peanut butter and jelly, but the manager pointed me to the right aisle. There were 2 cashiers running registers which I really appreciate. Also, the store bags your groceries for you AND puts the bags back in your cart. Other chains just leave your bag on the bag rack for you to grab yourself. The small things really count.
Racist and very rude older lady at the counter named Rebecca. Called Kroger while in the parking lot and asked for the manager, Manager comes outside and says the same thing. Very rude and will NEVER step foot in the Hinesville kroger again. 2 other customers in line came outside and told me that the lady was very rude and they will not come back in kroger again either. Very unacceptable as a major franchise.
They sell expired food items. Milk, dessert mixes, etc. Twice did I have to return items because I discover they were expired. Be careful what you buy. Make sure to check the dates for all perishable items. They dont seem to like to throw things away when theyre past their expiration date. Youre better off going to Walmart or on post if youre military Its ridiculous to ask staff to trade out expired, on-shelf items for fresh ones from the back of the store.
This place is terrible! We are new to the area and were trying to find the best deals in our area without driving all the way to savannah.. and I would rather drive all the way there! For one the cashier was RUDE. Is this anyway to treat the military? She didnt offer us the rewards card. Which wouldve taken off close to $20. I even asked for coupons or military discount. So when I finally figured out that I couldve got a rewards card I went back to customer service... they have terrible customer service and the employees were unhelpful and rude. I will never shop at this Kroger! If youre new to the area, go to food lion!!! Or even go to Savannah, its worth it. This place needs to get new employees.
I was having a bad day. My husband who is a veteran needed to get meds. That the doctor ordered. The doctor said that he could temporarily use otc meds until they come in the mail. I called a pharmacy and the lady that answered the phone was rude and seem like she didnt want to help me. So my daughter recommended me to call Krogers. Ms.Callie answered the phone and not only was she kind and patient she made me feel like I was welcomed. So thank you, Ms. Callie, you are an Angel. Thank you
I very appalled with the phone conversation I just had with Kroger. After waiting on the phone for 15 mins and getting hung up on. I got to speak to someone in the produce or floral department about purchasing a lot of bananas for a local 5k. I asked the girl name started with a M if I could buy a case and how much they were per pound. Without answering my price questions she automatically told me we do not sell bananas like that in a case. Then I heard her talking to someone else completely about balloons. I got completely ignored and I was very offended. Locally Kroger is the best grocery store in town. But this staff member was not what I would expect from Kroger. Heather on the other hand was very helpful and try to not keep me on hold to long.
I had the great pleasure of having Maddie be my cashier yesterday. And my bagger was Kimora. Fabulous customer service by both. However I was shocked to see that Maddie is 8 months pregnant yet they dont offer her a seat at her register. This makes me quite upset to see as a customer. You have an outstanding cashier, yet fail to take care of what should be a basic requirement. I hope a manager see this and considers my comment. Cos it truly saddened me to see this.
Brought a pack of shredded cheese from this location with an expiration date for 12/14/18, however, once I poured the cheese onto my noodles I found mold. Spoke with manager who said she would try to refund my money for the cheese, noodles, and sour cream. But stated that sometimes food will mold if left out for a period of time. In this case I live 5 minutes away from this Kroger. So it was molded when purchased. At this point Im over the cheese and probably wont shop there again. Overall great staff but need to better with the concept of F.I.F.O😔
Product freshness is ok.The lines can be bad at times, especially the guest care line.Sadly I love Kroger but this one is just lacking the quality Ive come to expect from Kroger, the Walmart and food lion are both better looking and quality stores which is saying something that food lion beats it.I love the Savannah Krogers but the one here in hinesville just isnt worth stopping at, drive the extra mile to food lion or Walmart and you wont regret it.
During the past 8 months Ive shopped at this Kroger at least once a week, and heres what Ive found -The employees are friendly, and willing to help you should you need assistance. For example at the fresh produce department, the man working there will glady help with getting something from the back should the item youre looking for not be on the store floor.Same with the man at the meat department, super helpful. So far, Ive only had grief with one employee (Javoni) whom was working at their Customer Service desk. The grief being that she was extremely rude, did not greet or thank me, continued a personal conversation while assisting me with a money order and didnt seem to enjoy her job one bit. This employee stood out because the other employees Ive dealt with are the other extreme -They recognize you, greet you and your children, and work with a smile. What I really enjoy about Kroger in general is that unlike WalMart, here you can actually SAVE money.Between their close out deals, clearance deals, weekly ads and their digital coupons -it all adds up.And lets not forget about the Fuel Points program, another great way to save money. -You shop, you earn points and use those points for savings at the pump.CON: Because some of the deals are so good, items fly off the shelf which frequently leaves me in front of an unstocked shelf which can be frustrating, I admit.A con about the Fuel Points program is that though it saves us about $10/month in fuel, to FULLY benefit from this you need to fuel up at a Kroger station, and the closest one to Hinesville is Richmond Hill... We are in need of one closer to Hinesville!!Ive never had to wait in line for check out as we use the self check out, so no issues on that department. We mainly buy organic and Kroger meets that grocery need but after seeing the size and selection at the organic department at the Kroger in Richmond Hill, I really feel like the Hinesville one has the bare minimum.Hopefully they will consider expanding their aray of organic products to not just keep up with the competitors but also to keep up with the growing demand. On that note, Kroger does offer store brand organic food- Simple Truth Organic, and frequently offers deals on this line of theirs.I trust these products and have never been disappointed in taste or price -Its organic made affordable to the consumers.I stopped shopping at WalMart over a year ago and started shopping at Kroger 8 months ago, and employees truly do make the difference. To me, this Kroger is my favorite grocery store to shop (and save!) in Hinesville.
I love this Kroger they always have sales and its never as busy as going into Wal-Mart. Sure Wal-Mart offers low prices but they dont offer sales. They have a wide variety of grocery needs, household products, hygiene, make-up and vitamins and OTC pain medication and a flower shop!
Cashier at the pharmacy named April (her tag says cashier) has a very nasty attitude and talks about the customer walks away when they are standing waiting. Does this in front of the pharmacy manager or the one in the white coat and does NOTHING. This is not the first incident Amazing she still has a job. Use this post and do something about it Krogers Hinesville Georgia
This is the most aggravating Kroger I have ever shopped in. Small, dinghy dirty looking floors that stupid brown paint has wore away. Crowded isles, and always out of stock on sale items. But the most infuriating part is a total lack of customer service. NO OPEN Cash registers except those stupid self ckeck out things. Today at 5:30 PM they had ONE register open and the kind person at customer srrvice told me “ we had a bunch of call outs” so we are short handed. This is an on-going problem. That is YOUR problem, get your office full of managers out front and start serving us. WE are the reason you are in business...
Customer service gotta do better! How do u offer so MANY services from check cashing, money orders, bill payments and western union but have a line as long as the check out for grocery! EVERYDAY!!....with one person behind the counter when u have 2 registers! You guys either need to hire someone for this position or close ur c/s counter bcuz having to stand in a line for damn near 30 mins is unacceptable!...Hinesville Kroger u gotta do better bcuz ur losing ur customers to Wal-Mart!!!
I am a procrastinator. Its not by choice, I just simply get busy and put things off for another day. This tends to put a snag in ordering birthday cakes. Kroger has been the ONLY place in Hinesville who will help get me a special order cake by the next afternoon. Other places claim to have them ready in 24 hours, but they have all explained that it is not actually possible. I commend you Kroger for coming through for me and my childs birthday.... again :)
I had a a good ex great great experience at self-checkout I had problems with things not ringing up like they was supposed to with my coupons Chec 503 assisted me awesome understanding didnt ask questions she just assisted me to figure out that my digital coupon was not download as I thought it was and she seemed to be more excited than I was with the discount that I received great job!!
Its not whole foods, Vons, Ralphs, or trader joes but you get a nice variety of organic produce at a reasonable price. They also one of the few places in town that sell Gallon organic milk.Friendly towards kiddos. We were looking at the lobsters and the gentleman there took one out so my 3 year old could have a closer look.So why 2 stars off??? About 99% of Their meat department carries meat that has extra additives: salt, chicken flavor, other natural flavor and preservatives that I dont care for. Due to this I have to go to another store. I have asked about them carrying meat, specifically chicken without them and their response was that thats how they come. Yet Walmart, yes Walmart, carries it. As well as the commissary. Please read your labels when shopping :)
This place is terrible. The managers are racist especially this lady name Andy and the manager who does orientation. They gave my nephew the run a round had him fill out a application twice and even come in to do computer testing. Told him he was hired had him coming back and for and then turned around and said they couldnt hire him. I truly believe its because he was black, they tried to say it was because he missed a day of orientation which he explained he had the days mixed up but he showed up when he thought he was supposed to. Then they said be cause his mom called when all she did was call to explain that someone from there told him to come and that when she brought him they tried to say there was no training that day. She was just being a parent trying to help her son get a job. I am going to find out who to call about discrimination because thats exactly what this appears to be. My nephew was really excited just to be played like a puppet. This place has lost our business we will go someplace else from now on.
I dont think this particular Kroger wants you to know about the Scan Right Gurantee. Basically if an item scans wrong, theyre supposed to give it to you for free. The kroger in Richmond Hill has the Scan Right Gurantee posted in their store. When I had an item scan wrong, A night shift supervisor said they only do that on certain items and I knew she was wrong, so I just returned the item for a refund.
Im very upset with kroger just left there please tell me whats more important money are your employees its a hurricane own its way and they got to work all day and night thats so wrong they have family they wont to go home too who every made choose is very wrong Money is not everything but u home wirh your family

2019-03-15This is definitely an old store, but I will say for its age they keep it clean. Overall it feels cramped (I know there isnt much they can do about that) the layout is quite confusing until you shop there a few times; the flow just seems really off. Also, the store seems to be run on a skeleton crew, especially the front end. I have only ever seen two registers open at once (plus the self checkout that is always backed up). I love Kroger and I keep going, but hopefully one day, Hinesville gets a new one.

2022-01-21Almost every pick up order has had rotting food. Rotting potatoes, rotted onions, mushy peppers. I get it everyone is burned out and doesnt care anymore, but at least somewhat inspect what you are throwing in the cart because Ive wasted hundreds of dollars the last few months. I cannot bring my items back in store because Im immunocompromised so it literally just Walmart. a lot of groceries. They are fast so that is a plus and why we switched to kroger but might have to switch back to walmart.

2022-05-13Deli is rude and even though you ask for meat sliced very thin you get cut medium, I’ll never be back. Train deli associates to ask if slice is okay before slicing an entire pound of it.

2021-10-15I’ll start by saying I generally have a really good experience with grocery pickup. The employees have always been friendly and the wait time is MUCH quicker than Walmart. I’m usually only there 10 minutes or less. I greatly appreciate that as I typically have crazy children in the car with me.My only complaints would be I’ve bought some bakery stuff that molded way too soon and the inside rarely has enough registers open. That being said, I know businesses are struggling to hire people these days so that might be the issues. All in all I really like Kroger and would recommend shopping there, they often have some pretty good sales/coupons as a bonus!

2021-11-24It was all good until I got racially profiled. I have been to this grocery store on multiple occasions since visiting for the holidays. I was watched as I looked at different brands of melatonin!!I have no clue if my previous phone call to the pharmacy, to ask if they carry Adderall, was the reason why the Kroger employee decided to sort items across from the aisle where I was browsing. The lady kept looking my direction, which made me feel so uncomfortable.I’m not from Hinesville and have never stayed in a small town before. I’m from Atlanta and have had issues obtaining Adderall from a metropolitan Kroger location, simply because they didn’t have the demand for the particular long-acting formula.Despite the snag around the pharmacy, this grocery store is okay. They have the average selection of items found in other Kroger stores. The produce isn’t that fresh but understandably given the sparsity of fresh local produce in the area. Additionally, there is no actual seafood counter so all the seafood is prepackaged everyday. And of course without scaling the fish. The management should focus on making some improvements on the store and less time racially profiling people of color.

2021-11-25Getting frustrated with my local Kroger. Every time I do grocery pick up something is missing. This time I didn’t catch it until later but I tried calling and they weren’t answering the phone even though they are open until 11 pm. Also two days ago my receipt said $29 but my card was charged $39. Unacceptable!!Hopefully tomorrow I’ll be able to retrieve my missing items.I highly Doubt I’ll use this feature ever again. Or even shop at Kroger. Walmart Fresh Market looks more appealing at the moment and I hate going to Walmart.

2021-08-07Online pickup is the worst. I waited in my car over 30 minutes before anyone came out. I called the direct number 9 times and no one answered the phone. I finally called the main line and spoke with a manager just to be told my order was lost. He offered to redo my order but I opted for a refund instead. Kroger please higher more help. I could have gone in the store and picked up my items quicker than this.

2017-03-08This Kroger has a small and limited selection. The staff is unknowledgable and rude. If you have any dietary restrictions, this Kroger will never fail to let you down. EDIT: THIS STORE NO LONGER CARRIES ANY KOSHER OR HALAL FOODS. Its worth driving to Richmond Hill to shop at the Kroger there and avoid this one.

2020-12-11I went to order a cake and some food trays. I had to go summons assistance. When the lady came to help me. I realized that it was the same lady that looked at me as I stood there awaiting someone to assist me prior to asking the guys who were making sushi for help. While she wasnt disrespectful, she didnt look or act friendly or even in the mood to assist me. The ONLY reason I made the order is because for the date that I need the order, time constraints doesnt allow for me to drive to the next city with a Kroger. Further, she stated that because the cake decorator was gone for the day, she would not be able to take my order for the cake. It was around 3:45 pm. Most people arent even off of work that time of day. The fact that one person pretty much dictates a big company such as Kroger not being able to simply take an order for a cake speaks VOLUMES. Some suggestions... get a bell for customers to ding for assistance, train employees on customer service, and perhaps put up a sign when the cake decorator is gone for the day and the unavailability of not being able to take an order. That way your customers arent standing there for absolutely nothing.
