Improvements, maintenance issues have been handled quickly. Bruce and Garry... excellent job.Office staff,Marie and Dawn...... yall are an asset to this complex.....outside looks have greatly improved.....it takes everybody doing their part to make the environment at this location an #all in community.
Me (Kristina) and my husband (Greg) just moved in today! Dawn was super helpful and very sweet during the process and same with marie as well! Super clean and friendly environment! If you need help with anything or need something fixed they get on it right away or the next day! I highly recommend living here and highly recommend dawn and marie! Clean, friendly, helpful, easy, excellent communication, and fast! This is the place for you for sure! Thank you guys so much for this lovely experince! ❤
From the first phone call when I spoke with Marie, she was so helpful and responsive. During a time when we needed to find a place ASAP, she was there and got us a home quickly. From the excellent front office staff to the maintenance team, they are always so welcoming and responsive.
My family (Husband, 2 kids and I) lived here for almost 2 years. Any maintenance issues were usually resolved quickly, and the staff was usually very kind. We moved due to my husband getting a new job out of state and The staff was very quick in getting us the positive references and paperwork that we needed to find a new place. Due to the pandemic we were very tight the last few months but we were a reasonable payment plan several times and although we didn’t go that route we were still helped. When we first moved in our fridge kept acting up causing us to lose a lot of food and we were actually given a Publix gift card from the manager because of it to help.
We moved in about three weeks ago.I’m very pleased with this apartment complex. We had looked into a few before choosing Laurels at greenwood. And I’m happy to say we couldn’t have made a better choice. It’s super well taken care of and they’ve started to do some renovating on the apartments. We haven’t had any problems since we have moved in. Dawn and Marie are super nice and go above and beyond to make sure everything is up to standards and that you are taken well care of. They check in with you every now and then to see if there is anything they can do. If you are looking for a place to live I highly suggest moving here.
This place is a joke. We had no maintenance for six months unless it was considered emergency, and then they had to hire from other apts to fix ours. I had multiple requests to fix several items during this time, they went unfixed and now over 2 years later, they are putting my young son out on the street with me because of damages come Dec.31, 2020. I dont even owe any rent. Maybe if they fixed the problems when they were small, like try to keep staff who actually care to perform said maintenance, residents apartments wouldnt go to hell in a handbasket.
I moved into this complex about a month ago, and I couldn’t be happier! Marie helped my daughter and I get into our apartment, and she made the process really easy for us! I couldn’t believe how quickly they were able to find a place for us! I am so thankful to have found a wonderful community to be apart of!
Shar the leasing agent went above and beyond to assist my family with getting into an apartment at a time that suited us best, and even provided cleaning supply welcome basket as a house warming gift. The apartment itself is older and slightly damaged, which is the only reason for 4 stars and not 5. The apartments are under new management which appears to have made a positive change.Shar made sure orders were correctly put in for repairs to the apartment. The office has a welcoming home like feeling when you arrive, and the staff is all about customer service. The phone is not the best way to reach them because they focus on the people standing in front of them. I found email and face to face is the best way to contact them.
ZERO Stars if I could!!! This place is horrible. They dont show you your apartment when you view the place until you sign the lease. They show you one that is super clean and obviously just for show. Constant notes on the door. Bugs. Not cleaning behind pets. Neighbors upstairs are so loud!! But we were told there is a rule against noise. Its horrible. And the lady in the office is so rude and nothing is getting done. You cant get anyone in the office unless rent is due. Business hours or not. No one is ever in the office. This is a horrible nasty place to live. Garbage is ridiculous and always over flowing. I cannot wait until my lease is up so i can leave here. If you like privacy and clean walk ways dont move here. No matter how much I clean there are still bugs. Pest control comes to your apartment only if you call them and most of the time you cant get anyone to answer the phone during business hours to even place a work order for it or anything else. Then they only do the ones that call. Not the entire building. Its ridiculous. Cant wait to move out. Do yourself a favor and stay away.
I signed a 1 year lease, 2 months in I wanted out. The apartments are infested with German Roaches. Their pest control came out and said they treated. They did a horrible job at it. My ex husband and boyfriend are both in pest control and they confirmed that the apartment was not properly treated. My kitchen light went out and it took over a month to be repaired. My toilet broke and after a week I had it fixed my self. You are not supposed to smoke inside the apartments but someone obviously was and it was pulling the smell into my apartment. Everything I owned smelled like cigarette smoke and as a non smoker the smell made me want to vomit. My son hated going to school smelling like smoke. I had to wash everything I owned and actually get rid of my couch because the smell would not come out. On a couple occasions I had someone beating on my door in the middle of the night. After that my son was scared to sleep in his own room. There were always sketchy people hanging around the mailboxes asking for rides. The dumpster is always overflowing and most of the time piled down the side walk going to the dumpster. This is a horrible place to live. It is disgusting and unsafe. I do not regret breaking my lease and having to pay to do so. I would not recommend this apartment complex to anyone.
When I moved here in November the management was great. Maintenance was poor but was told that they were understaffed in maintenance. I understood and patiently have waited. Now we have a management shortage. The office is always closed and no return phone calls. Have no idea how to access the gym which is a paid amenity. I was told that grab bars would be installed in our shower due to my disability. 3 months later I am still waiting.
We been here for six months and due to Covid we are trying to move out, we are so far behind on bills, the front office lady said we had to put in a 60 day notice, no problem we already knew that. But when I go to turn in the paper she said the own might try to come for half of the lease. When there’s only half the lease left.?They are rude also.
After reading some of the past reviews I have to say I had my reservations about renting here. But just like anyone on the bad side of a break up they will have negative things to say. We moved in a week ago, Marie Strickland is amazing! She helped us get the paperwork completed and turned in on time, even apologized for something taking too long. I have to say.... There are NO roaches! NO rude kids outside, NO barking dogs! Nothing from the other reviews is true. Well the trash compactor is broken but they got a second one until that one is fixed! We have had a few minor things not perfect. They have fixed them no questions asked! On some occasions same day! Its true you cant make everyone happy but, they made us happy! Thanks again Marie!!
Awful. Constant notifications at the door about inspections, which they dont show up for. But they do inspect your apartment without prior notice. I only found out about it because there was yet another note on my door indicating that an inspection had took place and we were found in violation of our lease because of a pest problem. We dont have any bugs! My apartment is clean. The fact that someone was in my apartment without me knowing about it does not sit well with me at all.Theyre trying to get the old residents out, so it is constant harassment. They want an outrageous amount of rent for a lease renewal ($1,000 a month for a tiny two bedroom apartment). Trash is constantly backed up at the trash compactor. When you try to contact the office about a situation, you will receive no response. Maybe if youre rich and the right kind of resident theyre looking for, you wont have these problems.
I don’t understand what the fuss is about. What do you expect when you live in an apartment? I moved in November of last year & haven’t had any issues. At first I complained about the people above us, but came to realize they have kids & I decided to live in an apartment. As long as you follow rules they don’t bother you. As far as drugs, drama, crime. It’s happening in canton regardless of where you live. I lived in a different apartment complex last year and had wayyyyy more issues & I was paying way more for a smaller apartment. That complex was gated etc, and we still had crime, drugs & drama. It doesn’t matter the location it’s going to happen. Management does what they can & both ladies in the office have only been helpful since I moved it. You get what you pay for. For the price of these apartments, you don’t get much room to complain. They really are not as bad as the reputation people are giving them. Try living somewhere else, you will see it’s just how canton is becoming.
The apartments are ok for older apartments and the staff are nice. Getting maintenance requests completed has been a challenge from day one. The rent by is over priced compared to other properties in the Canton area if they have openings. But other than some real irritation with getting maintenance Ive enjoyed living here, but Im moving because of rent.
I called to gather some information about a 3 bedroom apartment on 7/13/18. I spoke to someone named Tanya over the phone. I asked if it was OK for me to come in to see a 3 bedroom apartment, Tanya Stated That 3 pm would be a great time for me to come in. I arrived on time for the viewing appointment. Tanya then stated that she would not be able to show me the apartment because there is someone filling out a application, gave me a flyer and sent me on my way. I could not believe it, because we had confirmed a time for the viewing earlier over the phone at 1pm. The experience was so unprofessional, But I remained calm, Thanked her and left out to load my children into the car. As I was loading the children, the women who was filling out the application left out as well.Tanya what could you have done better to make this a better experience for the customer who youve set up a viewing for, But then denied upon arrival ? To schedule someone for a viewing, have them travel, then cancel upon arrival is unprofessional. A simple call could have been made. Instead of having me travel to the location, not considering my travel time. A friend of mine, who is a current resident warned me of the leasing staff and explained that the apartments were infested with roaches. I felt it cant be that bad, and decided to go with my own judgement, but after my first visit just to the office and the unprofessionalism I would love to have given zero stars. Sorry no longer interested. Walden crossing right across the street won me over with great customer service.
Laurels at Greenwood Is the best of the best I give them 10 stars because they have the best customer service the best looking apartments the best prices and most of all they care about the people who want to rent from them and also the ones who are already living there keep up the great work 😍💪🏾😃🎉
Applied for an apartment last year.I told them I need it September 20th,the apartment supposed to be ready September 7th.Paid $200 fee.Was approved and then no communication for 1 month.They contacted me in October and said that my apartment is ready to move.So I called and said that it’s too late now I already moved to new apartment.They refused to refund my $200 dollars because I was approved and didn’t move in.Yes it’s right but how do I supposed to know that my apartment wouldn’t be ready by the time my lease expired and what I supposed to do for that 1 month they didn’t communicate with me?Live in the street with my kids?Its supposed to be tax credit apartment and it’s not right to charge people those fee and don’t refund them.
Marie Strickland in the office was such a pleasure to work with on getting me into an apartment. She went above and beyond to make sure I had the perfect place for my daughter and I to live and she actually cared about all my questions and concerns! Love my home and the ladies at the office and I’m very thankful! If you are in search of a place Marie is the lady for the job!
Many reviews listed concerning the apartment complex I have recently experienced after being here for a few years. It has been very disappointing lately however I would like to acknowledge and appreciate Rhonda and the current maintenance staff for quickly following up on several concerns and completing a wonderful job within a matter of hours. Thanks so much for all you do.
Have been trying to get information about this apartment since 2/5. After the first week I finally went up to get an application. They open at 10 on Saturdays and I had been waiting in the parking lot for an hour because I mistakenly thought they opened at 9. Around 10:15 the office lady, Tanya, arrived. She was polite and made it seem like the rest of the process would be a breeze. The application needed more information than I had on me at the time and I said I’d bring it right back, but Tanya said she had to leave at 1 and they were closing the office early. I said no problem, I will be here on Tuesday at 6 as they close before I leave work every other day. On Tuesday at 6, I waited in the rain with my baby for about 45 minutes and she never showed up. Next day she says that there was a medical emergency. I said no problem, I will be there on Saturday (again the only day I’m able with my work schedule) and she says they’ll be closed but I can come in on Sunday. So I ask wht time and no response. Since then I have sent several emails and have been waiting since Tuesday for an answer to an email I sent on Monday and even followed up on on Thursday (it’s now the following Saturday).... good chance they aren’t in the office again. I suppose this isn’t the place for me since they can’t even be bothered to help with the move in process. Really disappointed..
This is the worst place Ive ever lived! I stayed for 4 years and when I gave my notice they lost it and then actually gossiped about me to other residents! So incredibly unprofessional! I made an appointment to do my walk through and no one was there! I had a brand new baby and moving truck packed to move out of state (they definitely knew) and they called me on the phone to tell me I should of waited longer when it was past the hour I made the appointment! Worst experience of my life...so glad Im gone! While I was there....constant kids running around with no supervision,no one cleans up after their pets, roaches.....EVERYWHERE,trash always backed up,not to mention the double stabbing murder that happened across my door this past summer! No place to park,constant notices on doors...horrible horrible horrible!! Changed management at least 3xs since I moved in and beyond rude....for no reason! I watched them talk down to almost everyone they were in contact w! Dont! Move! Here! Terrible!!!
Worst place ever. My wife and I have been here for about 7 months and we cannot wait for our lease to end. Staff are clueless, unhelpful, and just treat everyone like trash. Neighbors are constantly blaring music at all hours of the night and day. I can hear it with my bedroom door closed and my fan on high. I made multiple attempts to speak to them about it but they consistently ignored my knocking and avoided me. I spoke to management about it and they said to call the police because they cant do anything about it. I didnt want to have to call the police so I put up with it for months. Finally I could not stand it anymore and called the police. They stopped for about two weeks.Just dont move here is the bottom line.
I worked with a lady in the office named Sharmetia. She is the one who helped me through the entire application and move in process. I had only a short time to move out of the place I was in at the time. I was really stressed out because I have 2 small children and it was 2 weeks before Christmas. Sharmetia was very friendly and helpful. She made me feel so much better in the midst of my mental breakdown. She worked really hard to get me approved and able to move in the next day. She defiantly went above an beyond to make this move a lot less stressful for me. I will forever be grateful for all her hard work and kind and positive words. Thank you Sharmetia for being such a huge help through one of my most stressful times.
Things have improved a lot since Ive moved in. Lived here since Jan 2019 seen and dealt with a number of employees, maintenance men, managers, etc since then.Looking forward to more improvements in the future to come.By far the best since Ive been here (January) is Assistant Manager Sharmeita Hagler, she always has grade A customer service and when she says she will do something best believe she will.She has been consistent since the day I met her. I am so glad they have someone who can get things done.Thank you Sharmeita for you amazing customer service and assistance, you get ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐s
If I could I would give this place 0 out of 5 stars, I do not live here but I am here very often because my gf and her daughter live here, just a couple weeks ago in the same complex someone had a king cobra as a pet, constant smell of weed everyday, security officer on site does nothing, yesterday the elevator broke down on the handicapped building with people and stuff inside, yet maintenance is not able to be reached ever. Oh and the inspection date of the elevator is out of date by over a month now. They say they are a family friendly area, and yes the neighbors are all really friendly but the management sucks, they can either not be reached, or not in their office, and are the rudest people you can ever meet. This is not a place where you want a kid growing up with the constant danger of drug trafficking and poisonous exotic animals around.
It is definitely a bad service for both the managers who have put in and their assistants, they never know anything or solve in a timely manner the problems that are presented to those who live in the residence. I have been living in the apartments for more than 4 years and whenever it rains I am inundated with one of the rooms I have put endless complaints and have never managed to solve it. Now has been worse because they came supposedly to solve broke the walls of the room and have been a week that have not returned and I went to the office asking for help emerging because Im wetting all my things and the response of the new manager is that I must Wait for people to come back !!! You think possible that is a correct answer. Im crazy to move this is terrible every day worse
We haven’t yet moved in, but I can say through this application process Tanya has been so very helpful. Quick with email response as well as helpful over the phone. It is so nice to encounter someone that is there to help. Moving can be a very stressfull time, and we so very appreciate the part you and Nicole played in helping it be a little less stressful!
I have to give all stars for this complex ! They have been such a blessing through everything ! They are always there for you when you need help and maintenance is always on time!! They have the best spirits and I couldn’t have asked for a better place to call home!! Thank you Ladies at Laurels !!!
I never lived here, but my friend does. When I visit, there are consistently roaches all around the exteriors, the parking lot is awful and they are packed out. I hear their gym is closed on the weekends.. Who does that? Also, leaving the complex, youre on a big hill right on the curve.. Its very difficult to turn left out of here.
Defiantly 0 star, because the owner/manager is VERY racist. constant drug deals. people dont clean up after pets. rent is extremely expensive. every time you get a notice of inspection they never come, also with water pressuring notices is always about a month late after notice date. fitness center closes when the office closes (shouldnt it be open 24/7 just like public fitness centers?). parking spots are to narrow.
If it were possible to leave zero stars that would even be an understatement. This place is a joke. Definitely cheap, but service is horrible! From day one this has been a nightmare. Office staff are disrespectful, sarcastic, unhelpful, and clueless. Their never in the office and can never get them to answer the phone or return a phone call. If you ever do get lucky and get to speak to them you get one answer to a question/ problem one day and a different answer the next day. No consistency what so ever and you can also expect sarcasm. I moved into laurels at greenwood in January and have never seen such an unprofessional business in my life they dont consider the guest needs at all.a bill was due on the weekend which the office was closed but howdo u expect a guest to know about that if you havent explained it accordingly. Not to mention the fact that there is a woman who lets her two children run around the neighborhood at almost 10 at night playing ding dong ditch on peoples doors and her son isthe same child starting fires out her as a toy. Then theres a noise policy but no one follows it it can be 4am and people play music. This is a placei wouldnt even wish on my enemies to livei hate the service and everything about greenwood its so nasty people dont clean after their pets or themselves animal waste left in walkways but i respect those of youthat do clean after your pets some neighbors are nice but they hate it here also pretty soon greenwood wont even exist if they dont step up do a better job as a business
This is by far one of the most INCOMPETENT and DISORGANIZED communities i have ever encountered in my whole 64 years of existence. Not only are they demeaning, but they have the audacity to delay the whole move in process for such a long period of time because of their lack of knowledge of how to use an actual FAX machine. Not only do they loose paperwork but they have the audacity to actually lie and state they are doing everything they can. The one thing I am certain of, this MANAGEMENT doesnt know its ass from its elbows. CONFUSED AND INCOMPETENT PIECE OF MANAGEMENT
Home for drugs low class and mgr dont last the year and the slump lord owns of this apartment is the same owner to Lancaster ridge apt and Cannaberry Ridge ApartmentsYou’ll pay rent for the pool your apartment and the people to come Exterminate and the way it works is they give you a hard time to get in the pool but people that don’t live there getting easier and they don’t do nothing about it and you have to walk to the office and ask them to have the Exterminator to come to your apartment and 90% of the time the office is closed even though they’re inside the office they will not open to let In and if something breaks down the manager doesn’t want you in the office she wants you to go online whether you have Internet or not and put the order through because she does not want you coming to her office and sometimes she is at any location making it hard for you to live there and at Lancaster Ridge the AC doesn’t work they have people from a rehab living there radiator is busted all the time they don’t put a new one
Worst apartments ever staff is rude doesn’t help at all pest problems they just made jokes about it even tried to call the mane lady I left 10 voice mails no one ever called back the apartments looking nothing like the pictures online and the breeze ways are just full of spider webs and big roaches lizards trash it’s pitiful
Its quiet. Cleansed. Although around on foot. It is a bit isolated from stores. Opposite a transport passes every hour from 8 to 3 pm from Monday to Friday 1.20 dlls is its cost. You can see the cats stop. It transports you to many stores. Access to the pool requires a special electronic key. After 5 pm to get dark it is difficult to return because there are no sidewalks in the streets, which is used to return.

2022-06-26I have lived here since March of 2016.In the beginning, it wasn’t the very best place to live but now we have Marie and Dawn and Bruce and Gary who work hard to make sure their residents are happy. I have noticed that some residents don’t take pride in their surroundings and don’t care about littering which is frustrating to those residents that do care and take pride in their community and help do their part to keep it looking nice and clean.The leasing office team and the maintenance men are great and take care of any issues in a very timely manner. Almost every single negative issue is because of the non caring residents.

2021-11-23The apartments are older and could definitely use some updating. Some tenants take no pride in where they live and leave trash in breezeways and other areas of the neighborhood and that can definitely be irritating. But, I will say that the maintenance men respond to work orders put in by tenants very quickly. The maintenance men and leasing staff at the office have all been wonderful to us. They are always very friendly and always striving to make our little neighborhood the best it can be.

2022-01-07My Daughter lives there with my grandchildren.... They have mold throughout their home due to a leak from over a month ago... The maintenance came in with brushes and bleach.... To clean black mold. (UNBELIEVABLE) She has repeatedly asked for assistance with this and nothing has been done. When she looked on the maintenance site to see the record of all of her requests... it had been disabled. (sounds a little fishy to me) Marie in the office has spoken in the MOST condescending way to her about another situation. They are the most unprofessionally managed apartment I have ever seen. The apartments do not look like they are kept up at all and from what I am hearing... they do not care.

2022-02-02The website showed a unit available, I was able to put the move-in date that I wanted and applied. After the application was submitted for 250 DOLLARS, the move in date on the application was changed to a month later than I needed. Through email I was informed that the unit was planned to be vacated in May but could be extended... WHY WOULD YOU SAY ITS AVAILABLE AND TAKE AN APPLICATION THEN???

2022-04-10People running businesses from their apartments. Noisy, smelly, all-night activities. In the mornings heavy carts rolling downstairs and upstairs in the evenings. All night stomping and dragging heavy items on the floor. It’s threatening the safety and welfare of neighbours and the area people.

2021-03-03Just moved in about a week ago. The office staff is really helpful and caring. Dawn went above and beyond to help me and make sure I had everything that I needed and assisted me in every way that I needed to get everything together. Everyone is so nice and helpful. There were a few things that needed to be done in the apartment and Gary (the maintenance man) got everything taken care of in an efficient and timely manner. I would most definitely recommend this community. Thank you for all of your help guys! Y’all are awesome.

2021-05-05I would like to thank the maintenance people for their efforts to resolve our problem. I also am grateful for the letter from the staff.I am a 73 year old disabled vet. My wife and I moved in january 5 and have paid our rent on the first every month. We have a humming sound in the walls of our apt. that is so annoying we had to move our bed into the dining room. They sent an electrician who heard the sound and confirmed it was not coming from our apt. They shut something off which reduced the noise but it is still there. Marie complained to my wife that she spent $200 for an electrician like it came out of her pocket. For some reason they think its our fault that there is humming in walls. I cannot sign in to the laurel website to pay rent or report a maintenance problem. Im using the same user name and password but it says invalid entry. However nobody in the office can figure out why this is happening. We have paid every month form our checking account, but marie said if we have to give them a money order which is difficult for me to go out in my condition.She also stated if no money order we would be evicted. Is this how you should treat a resident who pays the first of every month, makes no noise and bothers no one, and takes care of the unit?

2021-05-03Been living here for a few years now and have been very happy! Marie in management and her team of maintenance keep the place in top shape. Any time I had an issue they were more than willing to help or repair the problems in a timely manner. Id recommend living here for the price compared to others its awesome.

2022-02-02I’ve been calling for 3 days straight, left voicemails and still haven’t heard back from anyone! If it’s like this before you start the process I can imagine what it’s like living here, I’ll not waste my money here, on to the next!!
