Went to Lawsons on Tuesday morning got a quote to install wires for a sub. Was told they were booked and to come back Wednesday morning they open at 9 am and it’s first come first serve. I returned on Wednesday morning got there about 8:20 am waited had 2 people in front of me. They opened at 9am I went in explained what I needed and explained I was told to come back on that day. The tech along with the lady there said they had prepaid jobs they need to do and they were booked so I need to wait around in hope they will get to me or return another day. I don’t know what they think but people do have jobs and other obligations they need to work on their booking system or if it’s first come first serve then stick to it. I won’t be returning nor will I spend money there anymore.
I chose Lawsons based on word of mouth and positive online reviews. From A to Z they did an excellent job! Morgan and his sales team gave recommendations and explained why. I was not just being sold stuff, it was was educational. The cost came within my proposed budget and the sound is amazing! Darrel did a great job with the install, very clean work.
The people are very respectful and want to assist you with ensuring you get exactly what you need/want. I didnt feel any pressure to purchase a higher end model and received some great advice when I was asking questions. The service was fast, professional and showed me how to use the new stereo. Im planning on bringing my other vehicle to this place again. Thanks Lawsons Car Audio for the great job!
Lawsons is the place to go! They have a great selection of inventory. They have great prices and they give you options of what to buy instead of just taking your money. They do a great job installing too. I highly recommend coming to Lawsons. You wont be disappointed!
Made a appointment to trouble shoot my radio when I got there they sent a salesperson out. Who didnt even know anything about car radios installation. Completely didnt want to help me at all. I dont go there. You might have a good experience they just dont like me.

These folks have what you need and they are specialist in the car audio business. I received great advice and same day service! From cold contact to 2 hours later awesome system installed! I definitely recommend this locally owned and operated shop!
My experience was great! They installed a new system into my vehicle very quickly and it sounded excellent. They even hooked me up by helping me plug in with my laptop so that I didn’t miss a beat at work. They were very cool friendly and knowledgeable. Would definitely see them again!!
My wife and I thought we’d give these guys a try after seeing the good reviews. We didn’t know much about car audio and were given an audio package that ultimately did not meet our needs. When we came back we were told to wait and let the system break in and then come get it tuned and that after all that it would sound like we want. We waited and got it tuned. Now we are still not satisfied but we’re told that we waited too long and they will not do an exchange or a refund. Watch out for these guys and if you aren’t happy make them fix it that day. Don’t listen to them when they say to let it break in. They are just trying to push you past the exchange/refund period. Or just do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.UPDATE: went to Best Buy to have the equipment uninstalled and they used some kind of non insulated tape around all the spliced wires. The best buy car audio guys told us we’re lucky the car didn’t catch on fire with how they had it set up. These guys are lucky that didn’t happen and all they got was a bad review and an angry customer. If you had any wiring done by these guys I’d have somebody check it out and make sure you’re good.
Went to Lawsons because we were passing time in the area. Surprised to see the radios they have in stock. Decided to return to have one installed because of the quoted price. I am satisfied with the workmanship, quality of my new stereo, and the speed of service. Thank you
15 Mustang GT - I had a problem with my Shaker stereo system. I explained the issue to Randall and Alex. They listened to my problem and came up with a solution. We discussed my options and with the selected components, and clean installation, problem solved. Sounds great.Thank you all at Lawsons for the good work and customer service.
Had them rewire my system they installed 5 years ago. It took 3 hours for me to leave. Not bad since I was the 5th car of the day. They always handle my car stereo needs. One problem in 10 years of service which was handled quickly by management so no problem here.
Lawsons is an incredible place if you want friendly people to help you with your car audio needs they even helped me with the with wiring my amp and sub the right way! They truly care about their customers!! Would recommend to anybody !
Staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and have a great inventory for any car project you have. They will make sure you have what you need whether you are doing a project with them or on your own.
Excellent experience with knowledgeable and friendly staff. Purchased a radio and roof-mounted DVD player and had them installed. Prices for components were slightly above big-box stores, but reasonable. Competitively priced labor. All told, the cost was about half of what I was getting quoted from other local audio places, but the installation was of a high quality. Would go there again and will recommend to any for car audio needs.
I have mixed feelings about Lawsons on one hand they have never steered me wrong and theyve always set me up with really good quality audio systems. On the other hand about every other time I go in there it feels like Im being a nuisance asking basic questions about the best subwoofers or system for whatever truck I happen to be in. In the end Ill always go there they have some of the best prices locally & their installers do an excellent job and they have never steered me wrong for the most part their staff is obviously very knowledgeable about what they do as well. Ive been extremely happy with every system they ever hooked me up with which is somewhere around 15 of them at this point.
Ive been here a few times before with little to no issues. Last car I brought they didnt install my radio correctly because they used an improper dash kit (they must have not tested it), and I couldnt get it fixed since its outside the grace period. Now Im wanting to get a radio set up alongside an amp and subs. You have to bring it in the morning. No exceptions. No appointments. If you work a full time job you essentially cant get serviced. I decided to call to see if there are enough slots open to possibly get fit in for a late afternoon. As I was told after being turned away a day prior. I spoke with a rude lady over the phone who basically said what was told already and that being serviced wouldnt be possible, as I was explaining my situation as to why I couldnt co.e early morning she hung up on me mid sentence. If you bring your own equipment i.e. cables and radios and you just want it installed professionally you get little to no priority and get longer wait periods or get shoved aside entirley. For the price you pay and apparant high reputation This is a big disappointment. Terrible service, Exorbitant prices on cables and parts that can be ordered online or found elsewhere for a fraction of the price, inflexible scheduling. I would avoid this place and order what you need online and get an individual or other organization to get your fix.
Not pleased with the service. My request was to install my stereo. Well, I was told that because have a built-in factory amp they would have to do an amp bypass. Cool! Well, the thing is whatever wire thats running from my fused box by my steering wheel to my battery is doing something to my battery. I had battery and alternator tested both awesome. Not only that in my trunk where brake light is both covers were taken off all my screws are just gone. The cover wasnt put back on correctly. Just not a great experience. All I wanted was a stereo install, no speakers no amp.

I took my car to them to install my radio, shortly there after my dashboard went started going off. If you adjusted my steering wheel column the radio would go off along with everything on the dash. I called them to tell them that my wiring was bad. No only did the employee push the issue off onto myself so did the owner Morgan Lawson. I told him that the wiring was wrong on several occassions. I took my car to Georgia customs and they found the issue and took care of me right away
Ive always had a love for bass. So I married a guy that has a love for bass as well. Over the years of our marriage we have always bought everything needed for a jam up system and we have always gone to Lawsons to buy our speakers, amps, mids, tweeters etc. but have always built the box and installed ourselves. This time we decided to let Lawsons handle everything and boy did they do an amazing job. I am absolutely on cloud nine with their work. It was great to feel welcomed every time we walked in the door. Its not everyday you can walk into a store and feel like you are one of the crew. They always greeted us with smiles and the knowledge inside those walls is just out of this world. I highly recommend Lawsons to anyone and everyone, whether it be just to get some information, advice or a custom install like we did. Trust me, you wont regret it.
Lawsons Car Audio is the Most trustworthy spot in Augusta. I paid for some audio equipment from the store and after the checked out the factory radio they found out I didnt need the new Equipment. They were honest and refunded the money back to me.AWESOME.
This was an Awesome experience! I spoke with Tony about having a stereo system ( with new receiver, amp, and speaker) installed in my sons small SUV. I took his recommendations and WOW! The sound quality was Much better than I expected for the amount of money that I spent. They did a great and I can’t wait to see the smile on my sons face. Just checked installed speakers on my convertible, passenger side rear speaker grille completely ripped off its foundation and damaged with no mounting material in sight. Also both sides of my rear seat quarter panel is missing screws. Very sloppy and carelessness shown to my vehicle. This speaker grille is going to cost me to be replaced, hopefully it can. Im definitely going to pay them a visit and voice how disappointed I am and show them the sloppy work. I attempted to let my convertible top down and it was caught on the quarter panel, thats when i discovered the missing screws that was removed to gain access to speakers. To make matters worst they kept my receipt.
They are awesome the best place to shop for anything audio from radios to speakers they have it all and are the best I recommend them to everyone I know and they definitely helped me out a lot and they won’t have a problem with helping you out either I get everything from there and all their equipment last for a long time have had mine for about 2 years haven’t had a single problem out of it. The best in Augusta I tell you that now !!!!
Prices are hands down the best around, yet the service needs help. Took my truck to get serviced, new stereo and speakers and satellite radio. Wiring was done wrong and had to take it back to them, after takin it back, the truck is still having issues due to the wiring. Having to take truck to another audio shop to have the service completely redone as Lawsons would not agree to fix the problem. So, after 3 weeks and 500 dollars later my truck is back up and running.Do not recommend having work done there.
Absolutely amazing shop! They fixed the issues I had with my Nissan! They changed my radio, door speakers, and added an amp and sub for cheap! Very professional and install was superb!!!! Will be taking all my cars back!
Equipment is awesome however I had a package system installed and while working on wifes car I saw that the remote wire was in three pieces but I bought a new install kit for the install.
Great install but they kept my old speaker box which is no big deal untill the manager basically said it never happened, and he didnt even install the system, then tried to throw me out for talking calm to him about it the situation ,and saying they never kept the box, just disagreeing with him made him want to throw me out, instead of just apologizing and saying hell look into it, he just said it didnt happen. Other than that everything was great
I’m from Atlanta and I came to Augusta to work the Masters and on the way here my subs just stopped working so I was looking for a honest place to get everything fixed at. Lawson’s is an all around car audio place and even more than that. These guys are also super experienced and educated on there stuff. I’d highly highly recommend stopping by if you have any problems with anything having to do with electrical work that needs to be done.
I had a good experience until about a month and half later radio buttons were sticking stations kept resetting on their own frequently. I cant seem to find my receipt so i went directly to owner who seemed like a nice guy before and he looked me right in the face and asked “ who?”.” I only did about 6 installs this year. Bring the receipt itll will tell you who did the install. “I have the box and other paperwork but no receipt. My problem was that it wasn’t that long ago. It couldve been a malfunction of the radio itself but you refused to even look. Also shouldnt there be back up paperwork on their end? The mother tried to get him to go out to look at the car but he said there was nothing he could do without receipt. I do recall other customers having issues that day but i overlooked bc Mr Lawson seemed so nice. Wont make that mistake again i like dealing with trustworthy business people.By the way my memory is great there were no empty stalls so Mr Lawson installed my radio on the next next to them.
Ive been coming to Lawsons for all of my gear for 10 years and they have never let me down! The whole crew treated us like family over the last 5 weeks that we spent doing this latest build. We will be bringing our SSR in soon for some work and every other vehicle we ever own. If you want the best then Lawsons is it. Period.
Lawson’s has been my go to car audio store in Augusta since my first vehicle years ago ! They go above and beyond expectations for warranties and faulty equipment and have thoroughly diagnosed any issues I have experienced with a solution within the same visit. Military discount if you negotiate one. Big selection easily understood and explained by a sharp staff. They helped me define what I really wanted and didnt have a clear. They upsold to new options still within budget that I didnt know were out there.Quick install got me on the road in know time! Jamming all the time now. Thanks Lawson Team!
Somethings are overpriced but the location is very convenient and the employees are knowledgeable and very willing to help. I cant say Ive ever gone there and not left with what I needed they definitely have a very stocked store
I’ve been going to Lawson’s Car Audio shop for a few years now and after selling my truck for a new one, once again, it was Lawson’s setting me up with everything I needed, at an affordable price. The staff is well taught and always knows what works best for me. Rims, tires, lifts, anything with audio, lights, light bars, radios, the Alpine restyled, etc, Lawson’s is definitely the place to go.
I actually love this place Ive been here several times 1 of the owners went out of his way to make sure my car was done the same day at 5:30 p.m. the only problem I had was that they left my car absolutely junkie they have boxes in everything everywhere in my trunk it is move stuff my umbrellas That was disappointing other than that I would recommend them to put in any system or speakers at any time
Dont waste your good money on shabby work. I had to re do about 60% of the work they did. All I had them do was install a radio and 4 speakers. Thet broke trim in 4 places and broke the door trim. When I went in to re do the work I found out they kept all my wiring harnesses and just twisted wires together. I will never go back. Also they made me pre pay be 4 they would do anything to my truck. If I could give zero stars I would.

I was not impressed with this place at all. The lobby to small and stopped to buy a phone case and just a one piece cover was 18.00 and I guess thet charged extra for the fake gold glitter that moved back and forth in it is the only thing I could figure would cause it to be so expensive. I assure you I didnt buy another and no it was a 2 piece set and that day I was showed all your cases and none were 10.00 by any means and still RUDE
I give a 1 not necessarily for lawsons in general but for the service i received yesterday. I waited forever only to leave unhappy to say the least. The radio installed doesnt fit, nor does it even work. You can see the wires behind the radio and my plastic is sticking out from mot being placed back in properly. Most concerning my interior lights wont cut off. I usually receive great service here. I understand its tax time and they are trying to get all the money they can while they can. But i spent 358 in there yesterday and left with my radio not even working properly. I was told to come back because he needed to finish someone elses car because he spent over a grand. Thats unprofessional to say the least. If they didnt have time to do my car, shouldnt have took my money.
They have wonderful customer service just left the shop not too long ago they got me out real well so anyone is looking for a good audio speakers when we get customer service

My childs car seat was removed during sub install and when lawsons put it back in the car after install they did not strap the car seat down with provided hooks. I was not told by anyone car seat was removed so it never crossed my mind to check. Long story short next hard break in my car my child went flying into the rear seat. I would rate lower if I could
Terrible customer service.I just bought speakers from here, installed them in my car and they sound terrible. They were not cheep speakers, so I expected them to sound good, but it sounded crackly. I called to see if they would let me exchange or refund them and they said that there is nothing they can do. I have bought from them before and have not had any problems, but this time I am very disappointed.
As a woman, one might feel a little nervous walking into a place full of men... but from the moment I walked into the door I was treated with the utmost respect! These guys really know their business!!! (Especially Tony!)I paid upfront and at the end of the job, they didnt use a part they thought they needed and REFUNDED the difference!!!! The service here is too slow. The short black man will take all day. My fiancé brought his car here to get some speakers. The man finished up with someone’s car, and stood in the parking lot talking to the man for 30 MINUTES like he didn’t have other people’s cars to do next. Does he get paid to stand around and just talk?

Lawsons is the biggest MFing scam place in Augusta!!! If u buy a radio from them and want to return it BEFORE your warranty is up...NEWSFLASH YOU CAN NOT!!!!! I was told they DO NOT return anything just because you no longer want it!! If it doesnt work properly for me and its been 3 weeks but u cant duplicate the problem in the 15 minutes you have it then u cant return it but u will replace it or give me store credit...I dont want it or ANYTHING else out of this place and thats why I stopped going there before!! Dont go there they are a bunch of liars and cheats...Janae should have just waited and went to Best Buy as we originally planned.
Staff is very professional, and makes sure that the products they give you gets the job done correctly. In fact, if it does not do the job correctly, they will not sell it to you so that you do not waste your money.

Bought a new truck and didn’t want to keep the factory radio in there so I put a post out on facebook and many people said this was the place, So I messaged Morgan and he replied within minutes. Staff was super knowledgeable and helpful with my questions, the radio was just the beginning, I will for sure be back!!!

I wish i can rate this place lower than a star. They are very unprofessional and just money hungry.They try to make money by any means necessary even if it means selling broken or defective items. I just bought a amp and bass for my car Monday but it wasnt working. I had to work so I went back up there Thursday when I was off to get it fixed. They told me they are going to charge $ 98.56 for instatllation. No problem....Paid it and came back to work and I get a call 2 hours later that because the amp was improperly put in before they cannot do anything or give my money back. If it was improperly put in..than obviously it was one of the people who worked here that did it but its ok..I will NEVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR go back there or tell anyone close to me to go to that establishment for ANY reason unless it is to use their bathroom. The business is run down and it always smells like kimchi everytime people go in there anyways. Nasty business for nasty people :)
Bought my 1st set of subs from Lawsons in 2008....been a customer for years....in every visit, i was taken care of with great customer service by staff with years of knowledge in car audio....the pricing could be a little bit better but im always satisfied
Staff was helpful. Store is a little too cluttered with stuff but overall good experience. I would certainly see these guys for custom enclosures and fabrication work.
If u want good quality and your system hooked up correctly then I highly suggest you go to Lawsons car audio..... They are very friendly plus they have great deals on audio equipment.... They make sure their customers be satisfied when they leave!!!!

Honestly... They do quality work in my opinion... Only flaw ive experienced is poor attitudes. If you dont have a helping spirit then find another job fellas. Other than thier period blood attitudes... Im satisfied with their work.

Completely unprofessional and manipulated me into something I didn’t want and won’t take it back hours later. Biggest con artists I’ve ever came in contact with. I was completely robbed and over charged. People beware of this place I’m filling a lawsuit with small claims.

Had amp and sub installed in a 16 challenger 3 weeks later wires melted. Tried to bring it up there on a Saturday and was told there installers were busy. Everytime I call up there the lady tells me the same crap everytime. Im not taking time off from work during the week day and losing money. Been 3 months now moving on wasted $ lucky it didnt burn my $50k car up is all I have to say!

I purchased a Pioneer Radio this past summer from Lawsons, arriving home I realized that the manual was written in Russian, I went back to them twice seeking help. I got nothing, Once they get youre money, theyre done with you. I would discourage anyone from purchasing from them.
Ive went to lawsons with three different cars the first two times was very good but when I went with my last car this young white guy tried to charge me almost 800 bucks for two 12 in a box I really felt good about going there until then i felt like i was being done wrong but i just left and I will never tell anybody else anything good about a place thats going to try and get the most they can out of a customer I really loved that place until then Ive told him that I was a good customer and told him about the deals Ive got and he told me he dont think it happend so I just said ok and left own the real my feelings was hurt I was so happy to go get my audio system done until he tried to bamboozle me

Jacked my radio up blew up my factory amp up so I would have to buy a new one then told me I needed a new radio ......I went in to have 2 6x9s installed and had to but a whole new system! Dont let them touch your car!!!

I went in one day and asked how much would it be to install somthing they gave me my answer everything was great then I come a different day with money ready and I was told first come first serve when I got there I was second in line they kept walking around showing things to the customer thats fine 2 more people came in I kept following close waiting for my turn when he finished he went to the guy behind me and started talking to them I guy they where friends then guys on the the next guy and starts making paper work for them and finally when he came to me he was rude had no respect told me the job could not be done he had to see my car and was super rud about everything just because he was the only one working in the store that day I told him I was here before and I have all your answers here and he refused to listen to me he said lets look at your car we go out there and he starts pulling on my seats and said we cant do it the seats dont come down I should him a string you pull for the seats the come down end of the story super rude didnt carr about anything I had to say couldnt work on my car because he came to me last and he gave me a higher number than the previous guy did....they be making there own prices and dont care what you have to say even after I told him the first price and the paper work showing it nope he did not care and started making things up to raise the price 👎

2022-04-02The most irritating process over a two week process a failure. I initially went to them on 03/26/2022 to get mine radio fix it was no sound coming out so got the parts but of course one of the key parts was missing out the brand new package(in their inventory) instead of trying to accommodate for that on their part I wound up having to pay for it completely separate on top of the other original package which they said would be specifically compatible with mine back up camera. So they finished the job only to tell me the sound work but mine back up camera. Than instead of trying to fix the problem then I stated to come back the following Saturday 04/02/2022 and quote me a set price. So with mine expectations set set I came back only to get greeted with as if no previous agreement was met, than tried to give a entire different price. I would not have mind paying for it but as mine third time returning I’m very unsatisfied with their service. As a single mother with really no knowledge of radio stuff feel as if taken advantage of a d waist of money and time. I definitely would never recommend this place to anyone!!!

2022-01-052015 Tundra Limited- “busted” speaker in passengers door. The dealer wanted $480 to replace. Lawson put in a set (driver AND passenger door) of better speakers for $180! They did the job while I waited and it looks great, no scratches or any sign of damage, and my radio sounds so much better!! I also go to them for phone accessories!

2022-04-11Way overpriced and they have a no refund policy so if something is wrong or you change your mind about the product they are no help. The stereo they sold me doesnt work and they said theres no returns and told me to sell it online. Terrible place dont get scammed like i did.

2021-06-08No stars there salesman are only there for sales they have no real knowledge of systems. Sold me equipment that has my car malfunctioning.They also damaged my vehicle in the process and claim it was already there they had nothing to do with it. I highly advise go somewhere else to get your money worth. Because there just looking for you to buy and not actually help you spent over $1000 dollars for my car to come back damaged
