LeafFilter Gutter Protection in other cities:
Requested an estimate to clean gutters. They wanted $17k. I said no, so they dropped to $9k. Said no again, so they said $4k. Just to clean gutters they tried to upsell and charge $17k and worked all the way down to $4k. I still said no. Not sure how you could trust them. Found another reputable company at a normal price.
After sale service in nonexistent. Problems with installation after 2 weeks Contacted salesman and still no response. Screens are clogging with debris. Customer service number is a recording, leave a message, no return call.Called corporate office and was told someone will call me back. One week later and no call. Quick to come for an estimate and write a contract. Once they have your money you are not important and resolving issues is nonexistent. The Installation was terrible and damage to property! The Installation was terrible. Parts of the gutters do not have screens installed. Screens are clogged with debris, pine straw, leaves, and silt one month after install. Damage to plants and landscaping around the house. Still finding screws, new brackets, old brackets, old gutter screens and other debris in the yard. Contacted salesman who wrote the estimate and came to inspect the installation on the day their installers were working. assured me he would have some one contact me about the issues. Still waiting. Customer service number is a joke. Leave a message and wait for weeks. A law suit may be the only option for resolution to my problems! We need a class action law suite for these scam artist!!
I ordered this product since I worked with a salesperson who made promises that this product works great and if any issues there is a lifetime warranty. After signing the contract, the service has been terrible and I also found the product is far from the panacea they advertise it to be.I had originally scheduled an installation date, but called to postpone because I did not have HOA approval. They came out anyway despite the appointment being cancelled a week in advance. Once I get HOA approval, I call to try and get an installation and they say they will call me back. They never call and just show up a random day a couple days later when I was not going to be home. Since its been difficult to schedule the installation, I let them do it despite not being home. Within a week of the installation, one section gets clogged and water overflows the gutter and runs off the edge. I call and for the first time able to schedule an actually appointment to get that fixed. I have an appointment scheduled and they even call the day before (first and only time they do that) to confirm the appointment. Then no one actually shows up during the appointment window. I call and they say the job has been fixed, when I can clearly see nothing has been done. At this point, no one answers the warranty line, so I start calling the installation line since that is the only place that gives me a response. They say they will have someone contact me by the next business day. As usual, no one calls. I call again and this time they say I have an appointment that same day even though I never set anything up. Finally, they come and replaced the clogged filter.Within a week it gets clogged again. I ask them to come fix it, and they ask me if I tried cleaning it myself. It is quite infuriating that they advertise a product that supposedly never or rarely gets clogged and they believe in it so much they have a lifetime warranty. I paid a premium for this product to avoid the hassles of doing cleaning. It is incredible that they would ask me to do their work. On top of that, the salesperson who seemed to be a nice individual, who said if any issues to call his cell phone. He never responds to the phone during my countless calls to address this issue. If you need gutter work done, do not trust their so called lifetime warranty since they will not do anything about it. On top of that the product does not live up to promises.
After install service leaves a lot to be desired. My sales rep doesnt even respond anymore... We need to have the splash guard removed from our home, which was part of the install, and the system inspected as it seems 1 piece may have fallen into the gutter, which I was told should be under warranty. 8 days ago I sent in an email for a service request. No call. Called today. Cant get through to anyone. Well see if leaving a VM helps any... Pretty disappointed.
We really needed a gutter protection system and thought this product sounded the best. However, the entire process with LeafFilter North of Georgia in Norcross has been a nightmare. We’d love it if they just came back, took the product away, and gave our money back. The product may be good, but the installation was poor and customer service has been non-existent.They initially didn’t come when scheduled, and that has been a theme. They didn’t complete the installation as promised and my wife has called them weekly since the install was done almost two months ago. They did send one person to review the issues and he confirmed the installation was not done correctly, and agreed he would communicate to his management that they needed to have a crew return. They always commit to having someone call back to schedule a time to fix the issues but we have yet to receive a call back. I’m not sure if they will resolve the issue without legal action at this point.Update: to respond to the company owner asking us to call...we have, over 6 times, all with a live person promising that your service team will get back to us within 24 hours. Still waiting.
I was sure I wanted to get Leaf Filter gutter guards as a family member has them and likes them. We had the sales rep come out and he was nice, but the hard sales pitch is not my style. They try to hook you in at the highest price. If you dont go for it, they come back, again and again, with lower prices that are time sensitive (ie. must let them know by tonight, tomorrow morning, etc). Ever time I would not respond, I would get a lower offer or text message from the manager. I spoke to the manager and turns out he was just an employee in Ohio who knew nothing about the GA operations. I told him I wanted the Leaf Filter gutter guards, but that I was concerned about all of the terrible reviews about the installation problems and poor follow-up by the company if there were problems. I asked what he could do to reassure me that we would have a good installation and why the reviews were so bad. He didn’t have an answer and said he didnt know about the reviews since he was in Ohio, but said he would pass it on to the local office. Dont pay more than 1/2 of what they are asking, my guess is that they will go much lower than that. They use subcontractors, and we were told that there are 50 different crews installing them, ie. they are not installed by LeafGuard employees. Also, check all the review sites before you take this plunge. We were 100 percent sure we wanted to buy these guards but the reviews and the company’s response to our concerns made this decision a hard no.
This company is absolutely HORRIBLE. We used them to install all new gutter system on our home March 2020... July the entire dining room was flooded (brand new wood floors just installed and ruined) because of faulty installation. Some did come out to assess damage and “fix” gutters. Never heard from them again... “contact” was no longer with company. Got ANOTHER contact to come and assess... still have not heard. “Fixed” gutters still have waterfalls coming from gutters... and yep, Rep that came no longer is there.... CUSTOMER SERVICE DOESNT EVEN EXIST- they’re product is HORRIBLE.... would NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY! Hoping our home owners insurance get get somewhere with them - completely UNACCEPTABLE service and faulty product!!!
We had the LeafFilter systems installed on Wednesday 9/23/2020 after meeting with the salesman on the evening of Tuesday 9/22/2020. On top of the LeafFilter system, we were adding an additional downspout. The salesman told us that the gutters that were pulling away from the house would be fixed. The technician arrived Wednesday with the wrong size downspout to install. The gutters were not fixed and there is a still a noticeable gap between the house and the gutters. Upon seeing this, the salesman was contacted immediately and he ensured us he’d take care of it. On Thursday 9/24/2020, the salesman told us someone would be out Friday 9/25/2020. No one came. On Monday 9/28/2020, I texted the salesman again and my wife contacted him as well. On Monday evening, the contractor called my wife and told her that someone would come take a look tomorrow. On Tuesday, my wife spoke with the contractor again. he said that due to the rain no one was able to come out that day, which is understandable. He said someone would come take a look to evaluate the situation on Wednesday. He also said someone would be out by Friday 10/2/2020 to fix the issues. She asked that she be contacted when someone came to the house. On Friday, I contacted the salesman again, and he told me the project manager has been trying to reach me, but I have no messages. If he couldn’t get in contact with me, he also has contact information for my wife, who he already had contact with 2 days earlier this week. At this point I had not had any contact with him myself. For some reason, the salesman told us to to contact the contractor at that point. I contacted the project manager on Friday 10/2/2020. I asked him an array of questions, and he asked for my address, which he should have already had. When I asked if someone would be coming today, he said yes. To my knowledge, no one came out today, and no one contacted my to let me know either way. I know the downspout still has yet to be installed and the gutters still are not flush with the house. I am disappointed in the lack of communication and rectification of the problems I have encountered thus far. On Monday, I emailed customer service and they have not contacted my back yet as of Wednesday, 10/7/2020. Our salesman has told us that “someone was supposed to come out today”, and no one in the company “will return his phone calls” and told us to contact customer service which I did on Monday. At this point, over 2 weeks later, the install is not completed. For $5000, I expected far better service.
Wow, I wish I had read all of these terrible but accurate reviews of this company before I spent so much of my hard earned $s on this system. The salesman talked a good game about how they would replace your old gutter nails with new screws, and repair any leaks where the water may be going between your gutters and fascia boards, etc. Bottom line they did none of that. All they did was attach the filters on my existing gutters. They did none of the extra stuff I was promised. And this system aint cheap! Cost me over $2300 for my very small 2/1 ranch house. And as other reviewers have stated here, their after sales customer service is non existent. You cant talk to a human. Ive left several messages. Nobody ever calls back. Ive left emails too. No response. Once theyve got your money, they are in the wind. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!
I got the entire gutter system installed for a hefty amount of money. Some months later, I had severe leaks near the gutter splashes in three locations. It has ruined my deck. I have been calling the customer service since May 2020. They make an appointment with you and never show up. It has been over three months and the problems are not addressed. I have left several messages. Finally, they put me in touch with a service technician who never returns my call. This has been the most frustrating experience ever! Please find another company.
LeafFilter advertises heavily on TV and elsewhere. Liked the looks and advertised function of the gutter filtering system. Salesman was knowledgeable. We signed contract for installing which was done on a timely basis in May.Had storm damage to roof in July and need to schedule with LeafFilter to remove the system while the roof is repaired. (In order to honor warranty). Now after contacting company 5 days in a row I cannot get them to work with us to get this work scheduled. Also, in heavy rainstorms a lot of water flows right over the top, not into the gutters.Rate the product 1/2 star. Company service after sale = 0Arnie Halterman- Canton, GA
Realized recently after having the gutter filters installed two years ago that rain overflows my gutters in one small section where my roofs join and goes directly into my foundation. Seems all I need is a more porous screen to catch the rain in that section or a backslash.I have called customer service four times in the past two weeks to discuss the problem and they promised someone would get back with me but no one has...Question: should you consider doing business with a company that cannot even call their customers back about concerns they have about their product?
One star is still too high of a rating for Leaf Filter. I have been exposed to shabby home improvement contractors for more than forty years, but none has been worse than Leaf Filter. Leaf Filter worked on two houses for us and they did poor work on both properties. The gutters leak; water runs over the top of the gutter covers and down the front of the gutters (instead of going into the gutters); they did not replace rotting fascia boards as promised; and the downspouts were improperly installed. For more than a month, they have promised to come fix the deficiencies, but they have never shown up – and they haven’t even called to say they aren’t coming. The entire process has been more shady than the shadiest of used car deals. After turning down lower cost offers from sole proprietors, I met with the Leaf Filter sales representative. His initial price for just gutters and covers was higher than the entire cost of the newly-installed roof, but he quickly cut that price nearly in half. After exhausting negotiations and the representative making multiple calls to his boss, the price was lowered even further – but still nearly twice as much as the sole proprietors. I chose Leaf Filter because I felt a false sense of security dealing with a big company. When the first installer showed up, he was not a Leaf Filter employee, but was one of those sole proprietors I had wanted to avoid. He immediately offered to install Leaf Filter products for less money. I reported this to Leaf Filter, and they sent another sole proprietor handyman, but one they claimed was their very best installer. Based on Leaf Filter’s glowing recommendation, we hired the handyman to do other home improvement work – but that work was done so poorly we had to pay another $1,000 to have that work removed and done properly. The third visit was by a crew of installers, but they appeared to be another sole proprietor or single-family business. This crew refused to replace deteriorating fascia board, as was promised; they did not properly seal the joints on the gutters; and they installed adjacent downspouts unevenly in a asymmetrical fashion. Some of the rain runs right across the top of the filters, instead of into the gutters –negating the reason for gutters. The rain that does go into the gutters leaks out at the improperly sealed joints. The installation came with a “lifetime warranty” which is useless because they won’t answer the phone when I call and (when they do answer) they won’t come when they promise.Leaf Filter is a DISASTER and a RIP OFF – DO NOT USE!
I was curious to see what the LeafFilter system was like, how much it cost, how easy it would be to work with them. Everything went like clockwork. Prompt response to request for information, prompt scheduling and smooth installation process. Very happy with the entire process and product.
We got this super expensive filter system installed and in less than 2 years we see build up in the gutters and water spilling over the side of the gutters. I thought the investment was worth it because of their lifetime warranty and guarantee but buyer beware!! Ive called their support line countless times over the last 3 months with no answer. Sometimes Im on hold for 1+ hours. I called my sales person and left multiple messagemessages. He called me back once and said he would get someone to call me but no one ever called back. Havent heard from him again. This company seemed legit to me at first but starting to look more like a scam. Sales talks up their product and warranty but actual product and support is beyond disappointing. It seems their strategy in offering a lifetime warranty is to simply never pick up the phone or respond. One last chance for them to respond to this post before going with civil action.... Sigh
I dont think Ive ever written a negative review before, but felt the need to warn others about LeafFilter.1) Their product is ~2x higher than their competitors.2) LeafFilter does NOT work as well as their competitors. Please look at my attached video and pictures. It was during a recent rain storm. Our LeafFilter gutters have been covered in debris and its not going anywhere. During a recent heavy rain, you can see the LeafFilter system overflowing and causing soil erosion since the gutter cannot manage all of the heavy rain and the debris on top of the gutter. During the same rain storm, I took a picture of my neighbors gutter system. There was NO debris, it managed all of the heavy rain without overflowing AND its about half the price of LeafFilter.3) LeafFilter promises to do a clean installation. Please look at my attached photos for the mess they left when they finished installation. Additionally there is a picture of screws and metal scraps that were left around my yard and driveway. I had an identical screw puncture my tire a week later.4) LeafFilter offers a warranty but their customer service will not respond. Ive waited for anyone to answer their phone or call me back and I havent received any response. I prefer to let a company to make it right, but since I cant get a response from LeafFilter, Im leaving this negative review. In hindsight I really feel like I was fooled by LeafFilter. I wish that I had heeded the excessive negative online reviews. Its too expensive to replace with a superior and cheaper system. So Im stuck with the inferior LeafFilter product and a company that wont respond.PLEASE CONSIDER ANY OTHER GUTTER SYSTEM! I wish had.UPDATE: Ive since made several calls to LeafFilter Gutter for service. They responded that they would send a technician out. Unfortunately the no one ever showed up and I spent the day at home waiting for them. Of course no one would answer the phone from LeafFilter Gutter. My only recourse is to contact my attorney to deal with this company. In the meantime, Ive added more videos of their product working poorly and the water is damaging my house.
We had a difficult time getting the job scheduled, then after several delays the nightmare started. The original contractor didnt come back. The next person, Jon Nuckuls was very helpful and I was pleased with him and the company fired him. We have a problem with water going over and under the gutter and leaking into our porch. I am also concerned about what it is doing to our foundation. Numerous calls have been made to the corporate office but several months after the initial installment we have not been able to get someone back to fix our problem. I rate the company on a 1 out of 5 for their product and service. If you do not fix our problem our next option is to seek legal council and or reach out to Clark Howard and the Better Business Bureau. Dan Lowring Job # SAT 00838
Very pleased so far with the product. The installation was great, they did a great job. The sales process was good. The only concern I have is there has been no post-installation follow up from the sales person or anyone. I would think when you spend as much as you do to replace gutters and add the leaf filter, I would expect a follow up to check and make just everything was good. Customer service follow trough is missing here.
I am an architect who will never recommend this product. My husband had this product installed on our personal home. Simply put - it does not work. The design is poor and causes the leaves to collect on top of the filter. I am unable to add photos from my mobile device but the pictures from the other reviews are similar. It totally defeats the purpose of the product if you have to pay someone to get the leaves off the top anyway. Their customer service and responsiveness has been horrible. They have stood us up for a service call more than once. We paid a premium for a product we thought might work well. We have basically thrown our money away.
We had the system installed and things seemed fine until we got a new roof. Some of the pieces were damaged, so we got an estimate for repair. Since then, we can not get anyone out to do the repairs! We’ve been stood up so many times, always an excuse and promises that the next time they’ll show up. Almost impossible to get anyone to call you back. In the meantime, our gutters are filling up, water gushes off the filters, and who knows what kindamage this is doing. Do not recommend!!
We had a water issue and I called Leaf Filter because I wasnt sure whether or not our gutters and downspouts were the problem. Leaf Filter was completely honest with us, telling us we didnt need new gutters (instead, we needed better yard drainage). I so appreciate the impeccable honesty and professionalism of Robert Devries and this company, , and if I ever do decide to upgrade my gutters, I will go with them 100%!
The sales person was very nice. He was on time arriving and went into great detail on the LeafFilter. We decided on a price on Friday and the installer was here on Monday. He did a great job. We have had a lot of rain since and we are very happy with the LeafFilter system. I definitely recommend this product.
I bought a house in August with a Leaf Filter system that was just installed in March. The system is 5 months old. On our first good rain, I noticed several spots where the water was pouring over the gutters. In one spot it is causing significant water pooling near my foundation. The invoice I have from the initial sale (almost a $4k job) shows that there is a lifetime warranty and that all gutters were sealed/repaired at the time of install.I called corporate and they were very friendly and transferred the warranty over to me with no issues. They scheduled a service appointment about a month out.The day of service, I called in the morning to confirm the appointment, so as to not waste my day if something had changed. I was told it was still on the books with a 8am - 12pm window. At 2pm, still nothing. I called again and was told that I wasnt the first person to be calling from Atlanta that day for a no-show appointment. The rep said she tried to call the local office but couldnt get through. I was told someone would call me back before the end of the day but that never happened.I let one day pass to see if someone would reach out to me, but nothing. Today I called again. Same routine. Rep tried to call local office, no answer. Was told someone would call me. Still no call. Ive been trying to call the local office as well and also cant get anyone to answer.Im thankful I didnt pay money for this system, but what I thought was a selling point for a new house is turning into more of a headache. I now have more water problems to deal with than I wouldve with the original gutter design. Ill update this if the company resolves the issue, but its worth noting whats already taken place since I see Im not the only one who has experienced this.Update:I made another appointment and took another day off of work to accommodate the 8am-12pm window. I called first thing in the morning and confirmed the appt. I called again at noon once no one had shown up and was again told someone would contact me to let me know what was going on. That never happened. I got a call at 7:10pm from the tech to say he was a few minutes away. The tech looked at the gutters in the dark and seemingly addressed the issues. Time will tell.Very frustrating process. Missed 2 days of work for no reason along with everything else. Well see if its fixed.
I cant speak for their work or pricing because I did not actually purchase their service- this review is strictly based on their terrible marketing. I requested a quote for gutter CLEANING through HomeAdvisor. Im guessing through HomeAdvisor LeafFilter got my info and have been unrelenting with calls, voicemails, and daily emails. They do not even offer stand alone gutter cleaning services based on my first (and only) actual conversation with them, so the fact they are spamming about a service I never requested is even more annoying.
Sales rep arrived early, went straight to work, explained the system, process and price. Next day the installation crew arrived and 4 hours later we had the best gutter protection I have seen. Four storms later we couldnt be happier. If your house is near a tree you need the LeafrFilter gutter protection system!!!
Though the product is fine, the customer service is by far the worst we have ever experienced with any company, in any industry, ever. Sense no one on their service team is accountable, its been five months and our issue has not been resolved - despite our calls and efforts. A quick summary of what we experienced:- The technician installing the system on our gutters broke several strands of string lights in our backyard ($200 worth).- The tech stated it was no big deal, and he would report it to his manager, and we would be reimbursed the next day.- We never received a call, so we called Leaf Filter. They were processing the refund and we could expect it in a few business days.- Never received the refund, never received any updates. We call again and ask for manager. We are told he is busy, but they give us his email.- We email the manager, detailing what happened, and including a screenshot of the receipt for the new lights we purchased.- We never received response nor refund. We call customer service, now for the third time, and detail what happened. We are told by team member, WOW. That is horrible. I will escalate this to corporate so that its handled and you get your refund.- You guessed it, never got the refund. Called again today and theyre looking into it.Its been OVER FIVE MONTHS since the incident happened... At this point we dont expect to ever receive the refund and we wish wed gone with a different company.Dont recommend at all.
Dealing with Leaf Filter after the sale is making the Keystone Cop comedy look like a tragedy. They were quick and eager to sell me the product. The first rain brought disaster with water pouring from my soffits due to a sloppy installation. The service guy finally shows after two weeks and looks at problem. The next day they send one guy to remedy the problem. He admits it is a much bigger job and they are sending another crew. Late afternoon and still no phone call or no show. The job needs to scheduled as a priority. It is not the product but the completely bungled installation. I call everyday to see what they promise and dont deliver. The salesman after the sale basically told me to not bother him since they had a service department. Did you ever see the movie Tin Men. Take head my friends. I could have paid for many-many gutter cleanings for this wasted money.I must be fair now. Leaf Filter did send a qualified team to my house this week. They removed the Leaf Filter pieces and reinstalled it correctly. They were careful to point out how it should be installed. I previously said it was not the product but the installation. Leaf Filter wants to get it installed as quickly as possible to validate the contract and reduce the time for you to change your mind. They will provide service but only after getting new installs done. It has yet to rain hard-so stay tuned.
You should avoid this company at all costs. Unless you enjoy watching your hard earned thousands of dollars flushed down the toilet, please do not trust them enough to do business with them. We have had nothing but issues dealing with them. Empty promises from management, missed appointment times, poor quality installation, been told lies, been ignored, and been given the run around by customer service.Needless to say, we do not recommend anyone do business with this company. From day one, you are told lies about what the company will do, who will be providing the service, including the skill level of the installers. (They do not use factory trained technicians and rather use independent contractors clearly at the lowest bid possible).Sadly, the lack of customer service extended from the general customer service phone reps all the way up to local management.
Home improvement companies make it or break it with the quality of their installation and installers. I give Leaf Filter an A+. Ben, our installer, came in the time window we were given, as promised. He was thorough, professional, and did quality work. The product is great but the service was better. Fort the price, it was the best value in gutter protection.
The salesman wasnt pushy. They provided multiple options including only replacing the gutters and down spouts, which is what I chose. I had did some online research over the 4 days before they arrived. The price they quoted/the price I paid wound up $350 less than what I expected. Even my OCD wife 😁 was impressed by the quality of the work!
I can tell you that my experience with this company was very good. I had a professional salesman who was knowledgeable and informative. The workmen who came to install my gutters were also very professional, knowledgeable and cleaned up after themselves. Overall they did what they said they were going to do and in a timely manner. I can only wish that my future contacts with companies doing work on my house will be as pleasant and professional an experience as this one.
Points you need to understand if you choose Leaf Filter: You initially deal with a corporate office in Ohio who schedules your estimate. Your estimate is conducted by a REGIONAL (not always local to you) office. They have on a Leaf Filter shirt (as I was told by corporate) and look the part just like the commercial. If you decide to purchase from Leaf Filter, your job will be sub contracted to a variety of individuals (Im not even sure if these contractors are associated with companies). FYI: The regional office coordinates installation for tens of homes per day all over your region - and new installs always take precedence over existing customer concerns. Leaf Filter has a 3-day return policy. DO NOT PAY UP FRONT. The regional office is great at moving quickly on NEW INSTALLS to get the product onto your house. However, if you have a problem I can tell you that you will be out of luck. The only way you will get it resolved is to file a BBB complaint against the company. I went that route after 8 weeks of virtually no response. Within 7 business days of filing with BBB, the regional company came out and fixed the issue with their install. If I had a redo, I would choose a local company whose office I can visit in person with concerns. Leaf Filters corporate commercials and marketing make it look like you are dealing with a reputable company. Dont be fooled. Dont pay up front. Unfortunately, none of this review has nothing to do with their actual product - I dont even know if it truly works as promised as of yet.
We patiently sat through the well rehearsed (and warranted) sales pitch. When we didnt succumb to the pressure to sign a contact on the spot, our salesman told us we were making a mistake and they are so successful that they didnt really need our business. It escalated very quick and left us frustrated and a little fearful. Stay away!!
Unfortunately I can’t leave zero stars. Very disappointing experience with the metro Atlanta office. Got an estimate from LeafFilter and approved for financing for the job through Wells Fargo. That was a Saturday, I was told the job would be completed on Monday, just two days later. Nobody came out on Monday, I called on Tuesday to ask what was going on, couldn’t get anyone to answer or call me back until Wednesday. I was told the “scheduling manager” would call me back to reschedule. Didn’t hear back until the following Monday after several voicemails left by me. Finally rescheduled and they didn’t show AGAIN! Obviously I was very frustrated at this point. I got the manager on the phone after leaving a voicemail demanding he/she call me back. He had zero explanation as to why the job wasn’t completed and told me his records showed it HAD been completed. He offered a very lackluster apology and offered $175 off the job. I wanted no part of this and said that I didn’t want LeafFilters services anymore. Thinking I was done and never hearing from them again, two weeks later I received a bill in the mail from Wells Fargo for the full amount of the job. I then had to dispute the charges and prove that the job had never been completed. Nothing but headaches. Very disappointing. Maybe I’m the one in a million this happened to.
Terrible product!!! Water runs over the leaf filter system making your gutters useless. Installers leave trash behind and are sloppy. Warranty is a joke! They have been out to my house two times this week to “fix” the issue and both times they haven’t even taken the ladder off their truck. Warranty Specialist claim they don’t have the tools to make the necessary repairs. Worst service company I’ve ever dealt with! I ended up tearing this gutter system off my house. Its that BAD!
I was impressed by the product. However, since signing the contract more than 40 days ago, I have been scheduled for installation twice now and no one ever showed up. They wont give you an estimated time of arrival, just a date. Each time that I have been scheduled for installation, I waited until noon before calling their 800 number. Each time I was told that they would have the scheduling manager call me and each time I received no call and no one ever showed up. And it wasnt due to bad weather. They just never called and never showed. Im not willing to kill a 3rd day waiting on them.
NOT RECOMMENDED! Sales rep Andrew Fink sold us our gutter protection. Our estimate was higher than what we needed, yet we were charged full estimate price even though we informed him. Almost two months later, we have no refund of nearly $300 owed. No one from the office or customer service will help us with our refund. We have been lied to constantly So frustrating.
We purchased Leaf Filter gutter protection in December 2013. We took down most of the trees around the house, so the gutters clogging isnt the problem. The water rushing over the filter, over the gutter and down the fascia is the problem. We have called a few times and they came out a few times, but the problem still exists. Even though their product is at fault, they want to charge a $99 service fee, which I refuse to pay. They came out without me paying a couple of times, but when I called the last time, which was two weeks ago, they didnt even bother calling me back. I have texted videos several times to Chase at the company, He doesnt respond back. Beware of doing business with this company. They will forget you after the product is installed.
Had Leaf Filter in Norcross, GA install $4,000 of gutters as well as the LeafFilters In doing so, they damaged the critter barrier installed along the edge of the roof. For three weeks I have tried to get someone from the Norcross office to call me to discuss the $1,500 repairs necessary to the barrier. The local number for Norcross is not answered. The CSRs at the 800 numbers are full of apologies but provide no resolution to the problem. They keep telling me they will elevate my problem to upper management with no effect. Not withstanding their slick commercials, my advise is to stay as far away from these people as possible.
(posted after 1 month) Great product. Expect some additional clean up after installation if you had dirty gutters. Inspect grounds for nails and other debris to avoid car tire damage. (Lesson learned from other home improvements) Highly recommended product. Will update after 6-9 months.
Contracted company to install their gutter protection system. They showed up to install, started installing and realized they didnt have all the parts and equipment needed. They told me they would be back later in the day. That was over 3 weeks ago. I called them twice inquiring about a status update. Both times I was told they would look into it call me right back. Still havent heard a thing from them. They are consistent with their lack of communication, in the form of NONEXITENT. HORRIBLE experience. Still hanging with a few drain spouts that were removed and are still disassembled. Sorry, NO excuse to not communicate. This is a perfect example of why a lot of contractors have such a bad reputation.
Leaf Filter is the worst product on the market, Gutters was not cleaned, downspouts or pitched as I was told would be the salesmen. Install crew left tons of trash, and two days after install, massive overflow and leaking corners which I was told would be resealed. I paid over 5000 for this system. Called the sales rep for the issues, and was told to called the 1-800 number. Talked to a very nice girl, but never was called about service. I called the number again, then got a call from Chase Harrington to set up service, no one showed. Poor product, poor service, damage to my lawn, leaves collecting. Jon was my salesmen. As you can see on reviews here. Employees of Thief Filter has made their own 5 star to review to trick people out of their money. It’s better to just pay some one yearly to clean your gutters. Do not use this or any gutter system. I also have pictures and video of this disaster. Wish I could leave negative star rating.
Bought the system Aug/Sept 2020, found screws all over the driveway afterwards. It does help with water run off. However some of the original gutter splash guards are falling off the house. finally got a scheduled appointment for 10/2 10am to have Leaf Filter fix the issue and they ghosted me/ no show. No service, once they have their money.update: made it out after 1.5 hours late, fixed with new screws found from the ground.
The sales process was stressful because we ended up at roughly 1/2 the intial quote. The install was terrible, they damaged my siding and didnt tell me before they left. I later caught the damage through inspection after the leaves fell off a tree blocking the damage. It took numerous phone calls and escalations before they finally agreed to repair the damage. The repair was terrible and they have not returned my calls to come back out.
We purchased leaf filter for our home about 2 months ago with a lifetime warranty. It seemed to be working well until we had heavy rains in our area. We noticed some extreme overflow from our gutters, debris collecting and leaking from the corners. We called and they came out and we discovered that the gutters were never sealed and some of the pieces weren’t installed properly. Should hopefully be fixed now, and will update as the year progresses.
I had a leaf filter salesman at the house and explain the system to me. I stated to him I was not sure it was going to work because of the way my roof line was different than most and I had a lot of pine trees. He stated if we were not satisfied that I could rely on their money back guarantee. So I said IF they DO NOT WORK I CAN GET MY MONEY BACK?. His answer was most definitely! So we had them installed and the area I was concerned about began to clog up with pine needles and the water came rolling over the top, behind the gutter, and down the wall. This eventually will ruin the wood behind the gutter and the wall. They have been out 6 times trying to resolve this issue to no avail. Another words every time they have came about with in a month I have the same issue. They say that the money back guarantee is only if the INSIDE OF THE GUTTER GETS CLOGGED, will they issue a refund! Read THE FINE PRINT my friends. Do not listen to the sales pitch! Their IS NO WAY THE INSIDE CAN GET CLOGGED IF IT IS COVERED AND THE TOP SCREEN IS FULL OF PINE NEEDLES, BUT IT WONT CATCH THE WATER EITHER. Now their solution is for me to call them every month to have them clean clean the screens that they placed on top of the gutters. Before I installed these just on the back of the house where I have a problem I only had a guy came out 2 times a year. Plus on top of that what I paid for the Leaf Guard I could have it manually cleaned twice a year for 13 years. I do not recommend this product around pine needles and or if you have an and area where a lot water comes to one place
I totally agree with what people wrote about Leaf filter. Worse customer service . Like one the customers posted the pictures, Yes debris every where , they dont pick up the calls , they dont have leaf blower to clean them . Ghosh I regret having had business with them. The installation was great and thats about it , in the sense , they did it on time . After that a down ward spiral. Please be careful who you choose .
Leaf Filter. Estimate was quick, installation was quick, followup lagged way behind. Ive been calling them for 4 months about an issue with water dumping on my front porch. They came out a couple times, some minor rework, no fix. Now they dont even call back.Wonder of wonders, they called back the very next day after I posted this review. Scheduled to come out and fix it next week.
The product seems pretty good, but the service is absolutely terrible. My warranty information was put into their system incorrectly and I have tried to get corrected for over a week. Be aware, no one has ever picked up the Customer Service line after multiple tries and multiple stays on hold. I tried to get corrected via the Sales/Scheduling main number, but they have never been able to assist and just transfer me to the same Customer Service line hold. I have repeatedly requested that the Sales agent not transfer me until someone from Customer Service is on the line, but they still transfer me to hold. I also put my name number problem on their website but no one responded. Finally today after a week someone picked up and said they would fix, but I will wait and see. Either way, Customer Service has been terrible.
I have had the Leaf Filter system installed for only a couple of months. It appears to work and no problems. I do have one problem but thats because I have so much water coming from one down spout that it goes over the gutter. The installation of a gusher guard should resolve it. The installation was excellent and cleaned up all debris. It is a little pricey but knowing I dont have to climb ladders to clean out the gutter is peace of mind and saving time of other things. 4/5 stars is due to price.
Great experience with this company from start to finish. The rep was very professional and took the time to explain not only why we need the system but also why this system is superior to the competition. The installation team was thorough, professional, polite and they made sure to completely clean up after the installation was completed.
The very best business experience of my lifetime. All other businesses need to follow Leaf Filter Gutter Protection services Examplary trustworthy, professional, & courteous methods. Thanks to all the great people who make Leaf Filter Home Solutions the Examplary Business that it is.
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! DO NOT USE! My husband and I had a representative come out to give us an estimate on new gutters on Monday. The rep was half an hour late and did not even bother to call to let us know what was going on. I had to call the main number to find out where he was and if he was still coming. We then scheduled an appointment for them to come out and install new gutters on our home. I took off work half a day in order to be home in time to survey work and sign paperwork once the job was completed . I left work and noticed a random missed call with no voicemail on my cell. I called back and was told they could not come out due to the first job of the day running long. Mind you, I work an hour away and had already made it almost home by the time I found out the job was not getting completed that day. They then rescheduled with me for today, only to not show up AGAIN! This time I received no phone call at ALL!I called the main line for the third time in three days to get information, only to be told a manager would call me back. Instead of calling me back, they instead called my husband and told him a seemingly made up excuse as to why we were not communicated with. After this, I called the main line for a FOURTH time to cancel service as I WILL NOT waste THOUSANDS of dollars on a company that cannot even have the decency to pick up the phone and call me, much less be on time. After canceling service, I finally had the manager of the Georgia service center call me and i verified with him I wanted to cancel service. I attempted to tell him about the ill treatment I received but he had a nasty attitude and as soon as I said I wanted to cancel, he said okay, we can do that, and HUNG UP ON ME!Do not put yourself through this hell... stay away!
Someone in my family received a quote for over $4,000. The gutters that exist arent even worth that much. There are other businesses with systems that cost a fraction of that much. Better yet, find a good gutter cleaner that contracts to come out roughly 3x a year for a $100+ per cleaning and save money with a budget.
Just came home after the install. TERRIBLE. The sales pitch and whole system relies on proper angle and every visible gutter is all at various angle and even flat at many locations. Gaps at seams, and just visibly terrible. Anyone who cared about an install from trained installers would not have walked away finished. Ive called Customer Service and been told it will be two weeks. Just FYI. That aint service. I wish this would let me post pictures. At least the salesman when I texted said he would make a call on this and was gracious in his response. I really hope I can update this day one review with a good story but right now the story is a horror show.
Re: Installation of gutter guard system. Staff/salesperson were quick to respond, price was comparable, installation appears to have been done professionally and certainly was efficient...results are so far, excellent (had to wait for a decent rain to respond) - and guarantee seems to be golden - because the companys reputation is good, I am hopeful about that!
The product looks good, but the salesman was incredibly rude. There was a mixup in the scheduling, so he arrived several hours later than expected. That didnt concern me, but it did mean my time was limited and I asked before starting the appointment how long it would take. Before starting his sales pitch, he made a comment suggesting that my husband didnt care about gutter care because he wasnt at the appointment with me. When the appointment ran longer than he had said it would, I let him know that I needed to get back inside. His attitude changed and he became visibly irritated. When I asked if he could please email me a quote because I really needed to go in, he took a rude tone, but said sure. Then he began packing his things and said, So I guess you never want a Leaffilter on your house. I repeated that if asked him to email it to me and he said, Well, I dont have your email. I stood there, blinking at him as he packed and didnt even make eye contact. I finally went back inside. He was the epitome of an entitled salesman. On top of insulting my husband and being rude to me, he wouldnt maintain social distancing and only put on a mask when I refused to stand next to him while he went through the brochure. We will not be using them.
Called to set an appointment. It was VERY odd, the rep asked “when will the spouse be available” either hinting that a woman can’t take care of the house or wondering if a male would be home during the inspection...very weird in my opinion. After researching the company I realized the horrible reviews and called back to cancel. The rep continued to argue with me about canceling my appointment, until I had to be very stern and say cancel the appointment now.DONT USE THIS COMPANY.
I am disappointed that I ever chose leaf filter. It is expensive, does not prevent clogs, causes gutter fronts to have to be pressure washed. Only 1 phone number for all the United States. When service is needed, multiple phone calls with 20 minute wait each time. Service appointment is a month later, then time changed, then not show up at all without calling.
We had a sales rep come out to our house. I was unable to be there so my wife was there to meet him. He was rude and unkind to my wife. We wanted a quote for a new back gutter and filter system. He refused to give my wife a quote and told her I needed to be at home for a presentation. He then went outside and started pointing out all things wrong with all of our gutters and again refused to give my wife a quote for just the back gutter and filter. He was condescending, unkind and my wife eventually got so mad she had to ask him to leave.Don’t even give this company the time of day, they need to work on customer service and kindness. They don’t even deserve 1 star.
The whole reason we decided to go with Leaf filter, was to keep the moisture off of our facia of our home. The salesman which seemed to be an honest and a reputable gentleman, John G… Sold us knowing we have a baby coming, so finances are really difficult at the moment… he knew our concerns, Well the nearly $5k we spent on a one level gutter cap, has been a nightmare. We have had the product 1 month and are facing no, absolutely no results from what we were seeking! Terrible problems and such an awful product! More photos and posts to come! Please Be Advised!**Edited to add that we have called customer service, had someone come out, and then they disappear. We cannot get back in touch with the representative who came out and inspected.**
The day of service, as soon as installers left, it started raining and the gutters were leaking in three places. Same day I text the sales rep. He gave me a 1800 number to call for service support....which no one resposes and just goes to voice mail. Ive been calling for over a month and talking to different people yet Still no one has come out to fix the problem. Gutters are worse than before. Awful service. Still waiting for them to fix initial problem from day one.......
Gutter protection was installed in May 2020 at my home on 1953 Fisher Trail .NE Atlanta Ga 30345. Recent rains have now clearly shown that one of corner downspout is not draining water as if it was not cleaned and was left blocked by your installing people. Pl take care & get it unchoked ASAP
Rep was very responsive until the 3rd business day (when you can cancel the contract) was up. After that, havent heard a peep. No one came on the day of the installation that I took off work for. No one will call me back despite repeatedly contacting their customer service numbers. No emails back from the guy that sold the system to me. He managed to put through paperwork for financing and ding my credit although I asked him not to because I wanted to go a different way, though. Filed a complaint with the BBB for whatever scam this place is running.
Hired leaf filter after an top notch. Ales pitch. Unfortunately thats all that was top notch. Cost versus value is horrible. Installer left job site a mess with self tapping screw all over the ground. Looks like he wiped black sealant off his hand on the side of my house! My gutters are bent up due to the braces that were installed. Gutter pitches are horrible. Worst of all they dont work. Foliage gathers on top of them, blocking the screens and renders the gutters useless. Dont waste your money.
This company has contacted me twice on the day of to reschedule. As you can see in the text messages below that this is an actual conversation with Zach from their company. They trying to charge me a restocking fee for canceling because they rescheduled twice. Ha! They must think I’m a fool and a punk. They really tried me this morning. Stay away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am just researching which product to buy. The amount of negative reviews here for this company, and the fact that I cannot find a local number for them, only their 800 tele-sales number is a HUGE RED FLAG. If a company hides behind their corporate tele-sales people thats a sure sign that you should run.
When you know that the salesman is a lier and he made several promises that he didnt keep, how can you trust the company. He refused to leave the estimate that we asked for several times before he left, he promised to email it, 5 days later, still no estimate. He promised a $25 gift card if we came within $100 of price. Our guess was 11 dollars off and ran out like the house was on fire. So no gift card or estimate. No business!
They came to give me an estimate. The salesperson seemed very aggressive. They said they could not do the job because they did not a ladder to reach the roof of the back of my house. The basement is 15 feet from the grade. The height is about 45 feet. I cannot believe they do not have a 60-feet ladder. I was very disappointed.
Dont sell a product you dont want to service. Pine needles stuck in gutters thought this product is supposed to keep them out. Called first no response, messaged on facebook call back will schedule, then 2 days later I call tech again, finally comes out yeah blew pine needles off roof still in gutters. Messaged again tech says everything good no needles still in gutters. Office is on Northside they act like I am in another state.
I scheduled an appointment for an estimate. The rep called me just after the appointment time and said he would be there within 15 minutes. I sent a text back a few minutes after to let him know that I was there. About 20 minutes later, I called him to see if he was close by. He said he had already been to my house and knocked on the door. No one knocked on my door. He said he would come back, but never did. I texted him later to see if he was coming back. He said he was with a customer and would call me later. After a while, I reached out again and again he said he was with a customer and would either be back the next day, Sunday or Monday. I told him to forget it.
I thought the high price worth the service.Terrible service, the installer leave a whole trash bag on the roof until my roofer found it today,The whole trash bag fill with full leaf and pine straw.I call the customer service to complain, they only said they will report to local office then end. No any response.I also text and send the picture to the local office manger. No any response.I should read these review before to sign the contract.Looks like the lifetime warranty is a joke.Be aware to install it after you have check the all reviews.
The 6 gutters are great and make a big difference when it rains. Its cutting down on the water hitting my wooden door and ruining it. Had a little trouble with the initial installers. They sent out a new team and everything is perfect. One thing to be aware of, if you have an exclusion service on your gutters from Arrow or another company. Make sure they replace it properly!
If possible I would give them less than one star. They have the worst customer service I have ever seen and lie about standing behind their service policy. They did a horrible job on my installation and will not come back and fix it. I would love to see this company go out of business so they cant rip anyone else off.
For my townhouse with four gutters, I had the LeafFilters installed in 1983 so as not to worry about cleaning the gutters anymore.Only last year my neighbor told me that the gutter over the garage was full of leaves, when I discovered to my horror that this gutter did not have the stainless steel cover on it.Since then I have moved heaven and earth requesting the company (local office at Norcross, GA 30093) to fulfill their contract. I even offered to pay again to get the job finished. I am still waiting for their call.I am writing this review primarily to inform future users to check whether the job has been satisfactorily completed. Since you would not like to climb up to the roof to check, ask them to take photos with their Smartphone and send these to your email. Best of luck.Normally I would give 5 for the quality of the LF gutter guard, but is obliged to downgrade it to 3 for the poor quality of their after-sales service.Abu Nurul Islam
These pictures sum up our experience with Leaf Filter.... AWFUL.Not only did the technician who installed our gutter guards break our string lights that were up in the backyard, but they didnt have the courage to tell us before leaving. So when we let our dogs into the backyard without knowing, they walked all over the glass of the broken light bulbs. Now having to reinstall new string lights, and pick up shards of glass. Totally unprofessional and dangerous.Well never use this company again, and making sure none of our friends or family do either.

2022-05-18We had Leaf Filter installed on 4/27/2022. Our work order included replacing rotten fascia behind the gutters. The local office does not return our calls. We have called the 800 customer service number 5x. Customer service say they will escalate the issue but still no return call from the local office. Be wary of Leaf Filter over promising and under delivering. I do not have confidence they did the job right. They left our down spout worse than it was prior to them starting the job, they didnt replace the fascia, and there are visible holes in our gutters that may or may not be sealed. Very disappointing experience. Hassle free product is an over representation since it is a hassle to get Leaf Filter to do the job right.

2022-05-19The sales agent is very knowledgeable, professional, and on time. It was late in the day when we settled on a price. Some glitch at the bank they straightened out the next day, install was scheduled, installers were on time, 4hrs and job was done the second day. Cleaned , re-pitched, sealed, installed filters, and cleaned up. Very impressive. Recommend ‘Jay’ be contacted for north Atlanta area for a smooth and easy process.

2022-06-05Leaf Filters Lifetime, Transferable Warranty seems to be worthless marketing and false advertising. I had a Leaf Filter system installed last year. I am now experiencing problems with my system and have been seeking to have my problem corrected with zero success. I have called and left a message twice with their recording stating that I would receive a call back on the next business day. I then went online and detailed my problem with Leaf Filter through their website. I received an email stating that they had opened a work order with their service department and I would receive a phone call on the next business day. Ten days later, still no contact from Leaf Filter. It is not hard to speak with someone in sales, but you can not talk with anyone in the service area. Because of this, I have made it my mission to get my Leaf Filter system repaired or get a full refund. I have already started with the Better Business Bureau and I will post my complaints on every appropriate online ratings site until I reach a resolution.

2021-11-15This was by far, the easiest and smoothest process from start to finish.I was truly impressed with the entire lifecycle, from the initial call to set-up an appointment for a quote to the actual installation of the product was three (3) days. I was immediately scheduled and worked with Alyssa M. (who is incredible) to determine the exact product I would need at my home. Alyssa has a great eye for colour and matched my current gutters to a LeafFilter system seamlessly and she made sure that I felt taken care of throughout the installation process. Alyssa was knowledgeable, checked-in throughout, and simply made the entire process feel very worry-free.The installers were great and cleaned up after themselves. Im excited for the next big rainstorm so I can see the system in action. All and all, great experience.

2022-05-27Easton, our sales rep, was fantastic. He understood that we had done our research and weren’t interested in the full sales pitch. He went through the presentation quickly, highlighting facts and statistics we may not have known. In the end, we bought them! I look out our windows and can see them working - there are no more sticks and leaves anywhere and my rain barrel filters have never stayed so clear. I’m so happy we made this investment!

2021-11-05Leaf Filter recently installed new gutters & downspouts on my home. I have been very impressed with the quality of this product. They actually work as advertised! I had seen many presentations on similar products but always questioned how those designs would keep debris out of the gutters. The new downspouts work as they should & a wider gutters handle the tremendous amount of water that pours off my steeply pitched roof. No more water overflowing the gutters & dropping at the foundation. The wire covering over the gutters does a great job keeping leaves & other debris out. The excellent warranty they give is transferable to future owners of the home.

2022-06-09Richard in sales come out to give us a quote. He started out taking pictures of our exterior and talking to us about the system. He then came inside to talk to us further. We sat through a lengthy sales pitch (total time 2 hours).Richard started off the quote at $14k. Then he knocked it down to $8.5k (drop said to be due to it being a slow period with few jobs) when we said no. At this point he began to get a little aggressive. My husband said he was just in the research phase and needs to get other quotes. Richard said we should have done our research before calling him out (research to us = getting quotes). He continued to stare at us like he was challenging us saying if he left the deal was off the table and that our foundation (which is fine) will continue to get worse. He then somehow got the quote down to $5.5k (by pushing it through as a commercial project). How are we supposed to trust a company that doesn’t price fairly from the start? I don’t appreciate the aggressive sales tactic with the pricing nor with Richard’s attitude. They are only getting 2 stars because they came out quickly after being called.

2022-05-26Fraud alert!LeafFilter was hired to clean and repair existing gutters and add filter system.I was promised that my gutters would be cleaned, downspouts disassembled and cleaned & sealed, gutters repaired if needed, and that the area would be cleaned up afterward. This was not my experience with installer Alex.If Alex arrives at your home, please call immediately for another installer. Pro: He arrived early in the 8-12 time window (approximately 8:25am). Cons: Did not complete job as specified. Left without completing job.My mistake was staying inside and not making sure he was going to do all the salesman James said he would/ supervise. He works for a company backed by the BBB, so I assumed that I wouldnt have to. Wrong.Alex rang the doorbell at approx. 11:45am to let me know he was done. He wanted me to sign the customer satisfaction sheet and other paperwork. I asked for a minute so that I could come outside and inspect the work. When I did and found it unsatisfactory I calmly asked that he do the job correctly because I was paying a lot for the service ($5700 for a 1700 sqft home). When I pointed out the debris still behind the gutters and evidence that he had not taken off the downspouts to clean them, nor repaired them, nor cleaned up the mess he left... He said, Ok. Then got in his truck and drove away.I do not know why Alex behaved the way he did other than he thought I would not inspect his work and just take his word for it. Not me, if I pay for a service I do my homework, listen carefully to the salesman, and inspect what I expect. I have reported this to customer service.Update: No call received from local manager nor customer service. 5/25/22.The response given to my review did not indicate they would make things right.

2022-06-21Leaf Filter does ot work! Waranty only covers product non-performance by clogged gutters. However, they cant clog if water cant even get into them!! So, they will never have to cover any warranty issues since there cant be any. Porosity of the screen is so fine that it does not allow sufficient water to enter the gutters so water runs off, especially in areas where valleys funnel larger amounts of water. Gutters worked great before Leaf Filter was installed, but after installation they overflow in several areas causing wood rot on deck along side of house and lower door trim. House is only 3 years old but due to constant gutter overflow, water damage is already occurring.

2022-03-17I had LeafFilter gutter tops put on my existing gutters on my 1 1/2 old house in Georgia. I live near mature trees and I had already had my gutters cleaned several times since moving in. I didnt want the hassle of continually scheduling gutter cleaning so I looked for a solution. LeafFilter was my chosen provider. Everyone I had any contact with were professional, the work was done when stated, all questions were answered, and now I am looking forward to debris free gutters.
