My boyfriend and I love this pizza! But the manager needs to step it up and hire more workers. We have ordered at the bar twice and both times took OVER an hour to hour n half to get our cold pizzas that had been sitting next to the register. I have worked in pizza places and in bars and I know how easy it is to get distracted. The bar scene makes more money so of course the bartender will ignore you if your asking on the progress of your order. I tried to ask if the pizzas were ours and was told “hold please.” When in fact she didn’t get back to me. We then moved from her line of sight at the bar to the cooks line. I hate being like this but for $26 an hour or two is too much of a wait. The pizza is amazing but it doesn’t make up for the fact that it’s bad customer service.See we get it, it’s busy. So when we order we tell her where we are sitting so she can give them to us immediately. This never happens. I have to keep bothering the red head bartender and she is upset because she’s the only bartender. The only way we have been able to get our food in under two hours is for me to be on top of if a pizza has been dropped near the register. Unfortunately delivery isn’t a great option either. Last time they didn’t even deliver it and we had to again to to the bar and wait for said pizza. Please call the owner and let them know this is got to stop. Or there will be no more customers. People want to warm food and friendly service and that is not what you get when you go to Leopolds in Carrollton square.
Cancelled our order after we drove 30 minutes to pick up. I called and they told me if no one looks at tablet within 10 minutes it cancels. She offered take order over phone, never offered discount or anything. We ended up going inside to order and realized that werent even busy and had to wait 40 minutes to get our order. Pizza was ok. Very poor service.
Food has always been great but service tonight was horrible. We sat for ten minutes after we got our drinks and we wanted an appetizer. Finally she came back to the table and we ordered our appetizer and put our food order in. We never got the appetizer and our waitress was missing most of the dinner. We then waited nearly 40 min and our food sat in the window another ten min. We were sitting right across where they cook everything and saw when they were placed in the window. When she finally brought our food I told her just take the appetizer off because you never brought it. So disappointed!! After we finally got our food we watched a big table come in next and got the appetizers they ordered in a matter of moments. And very attentive service they also received!! What she doesn’t know is that we tip well and she lost that. It was not the kitchen at all and the bartender that made our drink was amazing. We also came in before 6 pm and it was not excessively busy yet. Very disappointed!!
I can truthfully say that my experience with your establishment has been absolutely horrible. Not only have I been trying to talk to a manager about the extremely undercooked pizza, poor excuse of garlic knots, and horrendous Gelato but I was extremely disappointed with how I was treated. For 3 days I had been trying to get in contact to talk about my experience with a manager the best I got was Ill let the owner give you a call. Which never happened. Being new to the Carrollton area I was so excited to try leopoldos since a few friends have recommended the pizza. Not only am I disappointed but so are they. I will be contacting the BBB about the treatment I received.
I treated my wife out to a dinner tonight and was frustrated When our original choice had a wait time to be seated even though they refused to accept a reservation. We decided to still pursue Italian food and Found ourselves at Leopoldos.I was surprised to find such an outstanding establishment, directly on the square, with absolutely no wait to be seated. A very nonchalant atmosphere with sports on the televisions that were easily viewable but didnt command or force attention away from the date. A wood-fired brick-oven gave me confidence in the food before I even looked at the menu. I was pleased to be absolutely correct. We shared the appetizer of Italian meatballs, half buffalo and half BBQ. We loved both stylings. My wife celebrated the fresh vegetables in her Greek salad. My wife and I were both impressed with the Cauliflower crust on her gluten-free pizza as it was not stiff, but a fluffy crust that could barely be separated of a standard crust. Superb pizza from toppings to crust. My meat lovers Calzone (add mushroom) was fantastic but what I was most impressed with was the fresh made Marinara sauce that was just amazing. We left quickly as we were pressed for time, but the waitress was on top of everything and leaving was as effortless as we arrived. We requested a tiramisu and the check and had both in no time at all.The entire visit was phenomenal and I will return soon as well as recommend to others.
Leo’s used to be my favorite place to eat on the square. Paid $20 for a large pepperoni and pineapple pizza to go. When we got home the pizza toppings looked a little dismal, was sad to see how greasy and soggy it was. Took a bite and realized they put no sauce on it! When I called the manager Claudia offered to refund $5 or we could drive back to the square in the pouring rain for them to make it again. Don’t bother going here any longer. They don’t care about quality of pizza or customer service.
Not what I was going for in an authentic Italian pizza which is what is on website so I wanted to try it to see if it is what they say it is also ordered cauliflower pizza which was very doughy not at all like how its supposed to be however the calzone was not bad at all if I specifically wanted calzone only we would get that . Other than that not worth it for us if your looking for a real authentic Italian pizza.service wasnt bad also we noticed on pizza seemed to be no sauce . All in all Wed give them another go though everyone has their bad days I guess 😊
Food wasnt good service was a little better but still bad. The pizza doesnt have near enough sauce and way too much cheese.. The pizza dough seems to be not done. Had a pepperoni pizza you would think with a thin crust pizza the pepperoni would be somewhat crispy but the whole thing was limp. So no sauce,no crisp, no flavor. Also got an appetizer the pizza dip one. The appetizer didnt come until after our food, other people who came after us for there appetizer, I had to call over the server to ask what was going on. She was behind the bar talking to the other server and when I asked her about it she was like idk what happened. She did end up taking it off of the check. Turns out he burnt tbe 1st room but noone had time to even come by and tell us about how long our food was going to take. When I finally did get it after we got the main course it was the same bad pizza dough but with a bowl of what you would put on a pizza not good. We also ordered a chicken parmesan sandwich. The sandwhich was large, the chicken was very plane the sauce and pasta on top was alright. I have had better chicken parmesan at the DFAC Afghanstian. My wife said he shrimp linguini was like a 5 /10. Pricey food you would be do better just buying food at walmart and hearing it up .
Ive been coming here for years, I love the atmosphere. Autumn and Chynna are fantastic bartenders and are the only reason I dont go anywhere else in town. Amongst that, the food is awesome too! My only complaint would be that during the summer months, the air conditioning doesnt work that great. Not sure if its because of the brick oven or what?
My husband had spaghetti and meatballs and there was barely any pasta. And we had a pepperoni pizza to go and it was white as hell and i was looking for the sauce there was like an once.my husband was like you gotta look at the pizza...oh food wasnt satisfying...but we tipped our waiter brunnette behind the bar 15.00 for her service. She was great and attentive. Good thing we didnt see our pizza first before we left.would have been hell. This was our first and last visit. No thank you!
It was nice. Claudia was a great server and really felt welcomed by her chatting with me like a person. Could have used some more of that. The girl who first started to serve me I dont think would have been talkative at all and would have just treated me like an ordinary costumer. And was on her phone a lot.
My husband and I dined here for the first time and were very disappointed. The food was misrepresented on the menu. They do not use fresh mozz, and our kalamata olives were black olives, plus the pizza crust was chewy but burned on the bottom. Our server was very flustered by the total of 4 tables, did not clear our appetizer plate the entire meal and dropped our check off promptly, even though we were going to give dessert a shot. The most I saw her interact with anyone was when a coworker came in and she stood behind the bar complaining to him instead of checking on guests. Absolutely do not recommend.
Leopoldos has been a Square staple for several years now and is among my favorite spots. Currently, they have an excellent bartender named Mrs. Chyna. Shes been the best bartender Leopoldos has had since the departure of Mr. Keith, who was perhaps the greatest bartender the Square has had in 15 years. The food here is generally top-notch as well. The only area I believe Leopoldos can improve is with its staff. A bartender or two over the years might plop a can down in front of me without asking if Id like a glass, or would be more concerned with their cell phone or boyfriend while Id wait with an empty glass for the majority of my brief stay (I can understand if a party lingers for over 45 minutes, but I have never lingered for this long). Sometimes the impression one is an inconvenience during slow periods cant be avoided, but I note this sporadic deficiency because my empathy for similarly employed people of my age range is very high; it takes a certain level of disinterest or self-absorption to feel as though my presence is especially unwelcome. I can say that the staff present during times like these would rarely last longer than a semester or two. Ive refrained from stopping by during these hit-or-miss periods of subpar staff. I rate Leopoldos very highly for its current bartender, the consistency of the food and drink, and their overall cleanliness. Also, for Friday and Saturday night sports, Leopoldos is usually a safer bet for seating.
Came here to celebrate my daughter’s birthday with a bunch of her friends, ordered pizza, wings and shrimp pasta, everything tasted and looked good. The shrimp pasta however looked clumpy and pasta was chopped up. The taste was ok however it was hard to swallow due to the clumsiness of the sauce! Our server was I think Jessie! I have never given a bad review, but the service I received personally was TERRIBLE! I expressed my dissatisfaction with the dish, and she said she couldn’t do anything about it but offer me 30% off the dish. She didn’t even apologize or offered a different dish for my daughter. I ask for a manager, she said none was available! I asked to get a phone number for the manager or the owner, her response you’re going to call about that? Pointing to the food! Well before I lost my temper, another girl came from the bar, apologized and took the plate off my bill! Well that’s not what I wanted but whatever, needless to say we will not be returning, and the 18% tip that was automatically added to the bill, was not nearly the amount I was going to leave for handling my daughter and her friends! Here’s a tip for you, you need better people skills.
I love this place. It has really delicious pizza, but more impressive is their self serve beer wall. It gives you the chance to act as your over bartender: when youre out of beer just get another. No wait and no flagging down the wait staff. I think it is only 1 of 2 in Georgia. So, if nothing else, its a unique experience. Check them out.
The service was great. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the pizza was awesome. Growing up we had a pizzeria near who made a very similar pizza and it brought me right back to it. The gelato was ok it wasnt as creamy as you generally expect and the chocolate had a bit of an off flavor not bad just not expected. Overall though it was very good.
We were so excited about eating here after the reviews we read, the quaint town, and really neat atmosphere. But our bread sticks appetizer were completely burned and the works pizza only had olives. Our kids wouldnt eat the cheese pizza after a couple bites saying it was not good. One of the kitchen staff was throwing pots and pans around so loudly we couldnt even have conversation. Very disappointing. :(
I have to start off with the service here is the best I have received in a long time. The drinks were made exactly as I wanted. Could have definitely received 5 stars except the pizza. Starting with good the cheese sticks are amazing. The pepperoni pizza was really bland and didnt have any flavor at all. The Buffalo chicken would have been good if the blue cheese didnt over power the rest of the taste.
Awesome place. Great menu and the self-serve beer wall is amazing. My only critique is that I’d like to see less Bud Light/Michelob Ultra/Blue Moon on the beer wall and more of the local craft selection. I’m shocked there’s no Printer’s Ale Mfg Co (a Carrollton brewery), Scofflaw, Three Taverns, etc on the beer wall. Regardless, I will still be back!
Well the beer was cold... eating at this place ensures food poisoning. Salad bar was portioned into bowls, I complained and server reciprocated with an outlandish ticket. The beer was cold though. The pizza was floppy and a disgrace to authentic Napoli pizza, we are an Italian family in the food industry. There’s a reason lunch is dead silent in this place. Horrible pizza, gas station salad bar. Beer is cold though. Wake up before you get shut down!
I ordered garlic knots, which turned out to be slices of dough with garlic powder and cheese I even received spaghetti sauce to dip them in🤔. My coworker ordered pizza which was cheesebread,we couldnt find any sauce no exaggeration. We both ordered the limoncello cake, once arriving to the location there wasnt any. This is the perfect drunk food, but if youre sober dont get pizza or garlic knots. I wanted to like this restaurant, the descriptions sound so delightful. I doubt I will return.
This place had a bright spot...service. Other than that I was not impressed. The place has very little space..and does not use it well. The prices are not great except for wing specials on open Mic night. However the wings are horrid. They dont feel fry...they burned the cheap sauce on the outside of the very over cooked wings...all you could taste was char. I liked hearing the music on a Monday night but the sound was not good. Also their were some very sketchy types hanging around out front who came in and out...not child friendly later on open Mic nights.
Did not have a good experience with the food. Ordered a mojito which was basically just water and ice. We ordered a 14 inch pizza with Meat and veggies that was basically just a thick layer of cheese. The pizza was uncooked and watery. We literally left the food and went to a different restaurant to have dinner.
First lets start with the good. The pizza was very good! Also the service was nice and attentive. Unfortunately even though fb states the buffet starts at 11 I got here at 1130 and had to wait till 12 for pizza. I dont eat salad but it looks like a decent salad bar. Again fb advertised wings but they said they dont have them today. Its meatballs which is fine if you dont advertise something else as M-F. I will give them another try because once I got food it was great. I look forward to trying the wings one day.
Me and my friends almost turned around last night because it was soo busy when we walked in but we didnt have to wait long so we decided to give it a chance. My bartender was a girl named Rockie and she was AWESOME! No matter how busy it got she was on top of everything. The place was a little small but the music was good and the food was even better. They will see us after work next Tuesday!
Date night, ate dinner around 7pm on a Saturday night, immediately got a table, everything was clean, smelled great, place has great character. The staff was always available and we never waited on a thing. I will be returning, I loved this place. They have some kind of beer wall where you can choose youre own beer etc., specialty stuff. They serve Robert Mondavi private selection, a cut above most places. Really just a great place to eat. Oh, and the food was great, I left full.
I ordered pizza online. It was too doughy not at all cooked or baked properly. I called the place three times for placing complain and they always told manager will give call back. I never got the call. Poor service and it was horrible pizza i ever had...i didnt even eat one slice.I had to throw the entire pizza.
Night of 5/4/18. Ordered a pizza to go. Waitress (or bartender w/ short dirty blonde hair) was extremely rude, threw my money at me, when the pizza was “ finished cooking “ (I use that lightly because it was half cooked) she brought it to me without proper to go boxes, pizza was not even cut! I will not be returning until I see new faces working and better service! Very unhappy with my experience.
Drinks were wonderful and cheap. Plus the blonde bartender, (sadly did not catch her name) was very friendly and customized a drink specifically for my girlfriends particular taste. All food from there is good, sadly however past 11oclock they only serve pizza and wings with their alcohol. But thats ok cause its what they specialize in anyway.
So this was the first time I have been to this restaurant and the manager Kimberly Clark came out and made sure all was going good. The food was excellent the service was great. I think I just found my new favorite restaurant in Carrollton. Kim you are doing a great job please keep it up and my husband and I will be back.
Beware! New beer wall policy...you have to surrender your license for the night and unless you remember to ask for it back, you will be back after you realize you dont have it! They need to invest in a copier and just copy or scan the licenses! Based on the large stack of licenses the bar tender pulled out the next day, it is very common for them to not return the license! EXTREMELY POOR BUSINESS PRACTICE!!!Also, unless you like raw pizza dough, you have to request your pizza be well done!!! Pizza oven not run hot enough or they are rushing to get pizzas done.
Fire baked pizza, fire baked cheese bread, home made pasta, home made pasta sauces AND A SELF SERVE BEER WALL! That is the best food I have had on my travels for work in the past 3 yrs! Twelve different self serve beer taps to choose from, great service, great music, nice and clean, TERRIFIC ATMOSPHERE.....A MUST TRY PLACE!
Friendly atmosphere with outside sitting if you are lucky you might get to hear some local guys play the acoustic guitar and someone might join in with a song but the main thing the pizza is Brick Oven and to Die 4. I love the daily specials gives you a chance to try everything under 20 bucks cant beat it
Ok. I have seriously, in the past, dogged this place out. HOWEVER as of 5/13/17,;this place in all areas has been rocking 5 stars easy.Continue to go back and I continue to experience 5 star as noted above!Latest, 1/26/18...more staff and food cooking style changes have taken place... always tough to break in newer staff...ever changing beer wall not as up on the options as it has been. Dropping it presently to a 4 from a previous 5.
A while back, I stopped inside as it was late, and was finished doing Karaoke nearby at Locomex, and got a Pocket Pizza for $5.35, which rocked, and for it being the early hours, and great, classic style pizza. You cant go wrong here. May be the best pizza in Carrollton!
Loved the calzone that I built. The pineapple was legit pineapple not from a can and I found rosemary in my chicken which really made the calzone taste fresh! The cannolis are also something to try! My server, Drew was super nice too. Next time I venture out to Carrollton Ill be back!
First off the food is good. I recommend it. Though there service is not great. I sat down and was ignored for a good 15 minutes before being helped. Several others walked in after me and sat down and were helped long before I was helped. Most likely they are just under staffed.
Went there for buffet at 2 got 3 slices of pizza they wouldnt make another pizza for buffet yo eat everything had been there for hours last said they wasnt going to make more pizza because buffet is gonna be over in 30 mins I will never eat here again Ill go eat nasty cici pizza before I eat there again

2022-06-25I got a very large order I spent almost 100 dollars at this place I ordered to go because it was late the pizza was burnt to a crisp as was the garlic bread that I didnt even order but paid for anyway because it was already there and it was a little busy. The spinach salad was awful and wilted and slimy and the ravioli was terrible the spinach and artichoke dip was watery and tasted like canned spinach . I called them to complain on the pizza because I hadnt tried anything yet they told me to come back the next day after 4 and they would make me a new one..I didnt have time to come back until the day after and was told because I didnt come back the first day they couldnt do anything. Then wouldnt give me the name of the person who helped me. I am beyond mad and upset the owners are apparently out of the country and I cant even give them the name when I can speak with them

2022-03-23I had heard good things, but was very underwhelmed. They got our starter wrong, left pepperoni off our pizza, (which had almost no sauce on it at all) the wings tasted freezer burned, and the full sized greek salad, ordered as a meal, was served on the same plate they brought with the starter. I thought it was a bowl at first, but it was just a plate. For the price I was really disappointed. Zaxbys salads are four times as big and come with meat. The server was unattentive. There was one other table, three servers and they were on their phones at the bar. The only decent dish was the chicken carbonara. But it wasnt enough to come back for, in our opinion. I truly hate to leave negative reviews.

2022-05-26Excellent pizza! Great service. But table space lacks with more than one pizza. They need the pizza stacker devices for the table.

2017-10-15The new fire oven wings are amazing, the mango habanero is so much better than at BWW! Love the atmosphere, staff are friendly, great place to watch the game on one of their 4 screens. Im not a beer drinker but my friends enjoy the beer wall. Definitely will visit again.

2022-01-03We ordered pizza tonight for pickup, spent almost 60 dollars, my daughter gets back with the pizzas and starts to eat hers only to realize that the Alfredo sauce that is supposed to be on her pizza instead of the marinara is non existent. Called the restaurant to tell them and was told the only option she had since she ate 1 and a quarter slice was that she could come back up to the restaurant and get a side of Alfredo to dip it in. They tried to give me the excuse that Alfredo tends to cook out of the pizza in a brick oven, but every time we have gone to the restaurant she has ordered the same thing and never had a problem with it. We have been going to this restaurant for over a year and will not be back

2021-09-13For my first experience at Leopoldo’s I wasn’t very impressed. While the food was still pretty decent, the service was not that great. It states online that the place is open until 12am but the kitchen closes at 9? Okay that’s fine but we cannot sit inside ? Whatever, but to order a specific pizza and not get exactly what we ordered isn’t cool. For the price, would not recommend!

2021-09-06Normally Leopaldos food is so good, but the last two times I was here it wasnt worth the prices they charge. Tonight there was one waitress running her legs off, she was so sweet too. Im not sure exactly what the other waitress was doing she only had one table that I saw.. There was just one cook on duty. I asked the girl to remove the appetizer from our ticket because it hadnt come out before the food did. I usually get the chicken prosciutto pasta which is so yummy, today the chicken was cold and hard, the prosciutto was chewy and the pasta wasnt close to be tender. We were very disappointed in our visit. Especially since it was a birthday celebration dinner with my kids!
