Lidl in other cities:
I lived in Europe last year briefly and remember lidl there. I am surprised theyre sprouting in America lately. I wish the American lidl would have more European items but as long as theres a fresh bread bakery and sell Belgium waffle snacks. Update, they stop selling sugar Belgium waffle snacks. Thats the main reason I shop here. Their European snacks are diminishing. Please add more European snacks and bring back Belgium waffles!
I love Lidl so much and really really looking forward to more coming through the metro area one BIG gripe at the store they rush you bag your things. I hate to compare them to Aldi but they at least scan and put your things in your cart. I use a cane and not able to keep track of the prices and bag things quick enough. I wish they had a disabled friendly shopping experience, otherwise Lidl is a win in my book. It takes me an hour half to get up to this one, but I will continue to go until the one in Kirkwood opens. I just wish more were in the Southside. The Jonesboro location is even further by buses than this one and theyre 15 minutes away by car. Makes no sense. Please, bring yourself to South Fulton, Lidl. Thank you for the cashier helping me as my card wouldnt scan and allowed me theirs.
Very nice place, serious competition for Aldi. The checkout is not streamlined though -- bagging is the bottleneck, because there is no separate bagging counter like at Aldi. The divided lane with two separate areas for customers to bag is not ideal in terms of social distancing, and the checkers can scan way faster than two customers can bag
Its like Aldi on steroids. It has a bakery. It sells baguette, croissants and stuff that taste close enough to the real thing -- at prices that would make you forgive the rest. Good coffee section especially if you are looking for whole beans. And staff who dont act like they have lost the will to live, which is always a plus in my book. Good staff, seriously.
This is the closest grocery store to my house. I love the Lidl brand and was so excited about this store. However, I have noticed on my last visits that the employees were not wearing masks correctly. Earlier this week the two cashiers were not wearing masks at all, despite that being the national company policy.I promptly abandoned my cart (a couple near me did the same) and went home. I cannot support establishments that do not follow CDC policies designed to promote life over profit.
First time visiting the store and hearing about the brand. The young lady who was our cashier was absolutely amazing. She was very polite and showed Southern hospitality. Terminal ID 003. Thank you young lady, my apologies for not asking your name. That store was well stocked and clean. Refreshing visit.
I like Lidl, and they do have some good deals here. But this location has not been doing a great job of keeping the shelves stocked. I went in to do a basic grocery shopping trip, and I ended up having to go to a Walmart market to find things like milk, yogurt, bagels, etc.
I first experienced LIDL in Central Europe where I developed an unfortunate aversion to the grocery chain due to my trying Kofola, a cheap cola substitute thats made with coffee and definitely not suited to Western tastes. But that was a Soviet era Czechoslovakian issue and certainly no fault of LIDLs.Stick to the company brands and you will have a delightfully economical culinary experience. I am particularly fond of their frozen dinners, specifically their Indian offerings. And as in the EU, be sure to BYOB.(...bags, that is.)
Cheaper prices compared to any other grocery store however my only complaint is that there are never enough registers open, like more than ONE-no matter what time of day it is. I’d rather pay the extra dollar or two for a similar product at Kroger just so I can avoid having to wait in a long line. Shop here if you have a lot of time to spare.
There were too many wet floors and literally waters on the floor. Very dangerous. Many shelves and fridges were empty. Many essentials, like: frozen vegetables were no where to be found. I like their small carts and the delicious smell of the freshly baked goods from the bakery in the back of the store.
First & last time at this store. If you need assistance (like an electric cart), youre SOL. They only have 2 and they were both completely dead, not plugged in, and had employees personal items stack on them (such as jackets). There were no baskets available inside & the outside cart returns were full. They were MUCH further out than I had even parked (in a handicap parking space). Im not lazy, just physically incapable to doing that. The employees were rude and acted annoyed that I tried to even speak to them. There were huge puddles all over the store. Im so disappointed because Ive heard great things and was excited to try them out.
Store is beautiful and clean. Great selection. I was annoyed that i was mis charged for a sale item then when I went to call the store i got the customer service hotline.. furthering my annoyance however they made it right. Emailed me a gift certificate for double the different amount.i love the recovery. Thank you
I love this store. It is like a Diamond in the rough. A fun and refreshing store experience, a good staff, friendly, peaceful shopping, nice people. The prices is very good. To me it is better than Aldi’s. Judge for yourself. A Beautiful Jewel. Wonderful Flower Choices. Fresh Produce, and a Very nice Bakery. Leave with a Smile. Don’t forget to bring your own shopping bag, or they are available for purchase. Enjoy your Day.
The commercials have been pushing for you to come so I went and on todays visits upon entering the store and they were out of sanitizing products but luckily an employee was there to help. Nice place and I understand business has not gotten back to normal but someone should atleast make sure the veggies are fresh looking and not about to die.I like the fact that its a counter at the door to tell you how many ppl are in the place. Also I was surprised to find that you sell everything from food to clothing. Hopefully in the future when things are better I will submit a better review.
I feel bad giving 2 stars to this specific location. Maybe its more of a Lidl corporate issue. My problem is Lidl is so much different then other grocery stores. They dont do bags. They have limited selection. Seems unorganized with random pallets in aisles even. I went once because it was the closet grocery store for a quick pick up. I needed an onion. They were out? Very strange. There is no onion shortage that I have heard about. I got flowers for mothers day instead to save a trip, and I was given a bag. So weirdly, my first trip I believed they did bags after I left. I came back with no bags my second time? I had to leave the store with 20ish items not in bags. If you can purchase some sort of a bag there, I was not advised that option. Customer service needs to up its game for such a different grocery store. Definitely not my first option for a grocery store.
I like!! .59 gallon water.... you cant beat it! We bought eggs and milk and a few other random items. It was our first visit but Im sure it wont be our last. The place kinda put me in the mind of an upscale Aldi.I picked up the ad after already shopping so we didnt get in on all of the sales items. The place was clean, the service was friendly and on most items the prices were right! I would definitely recommend this place and we will be back soon.
I tried this grocer back in October and did not enjoy the produce, meat selection nor the upkeep of the store. Since it is such a convenient location, I opted to try again. Well, I was still just as disappointed and irritated because I had wanted to love it. It is not because I’m some Whole Foods, Fresh Market or Publix regular... no, I pretty much only shop at ALDI and Costco. I just can’t get on board with their quality. I will say I would give 100% 5 stars to the AMAZING customer service this time by my cashier Destiny. She helped me bag my groceries, which was very kind as she did not have to.
Love this place. They have selections that you cant find in other grocery stores as well as name brand things. Bakery has all kinds of delicious yummies. Ailes are wide and easily navigated. Prices cant be beat and check out was quick and effortless even with social distancing.
Lidl in Druid hills overall solid store. Iv been coming to druid location since they’ve opened. I know about 80% of the staff there by name. Having over 20 years of experience in customer service a lot of the comments made are any retailer. A lot of items that tend to be out are often WHILE SUPPLIES LAST. The employees are really nice. As Iv had the pleasure of speaking with a few. They take time to remember locals. Druid hills community I must say the people around the area tend to be rude, high maintenance and want to be waited on and hand foot.Personally I love lidl. Low prices, fresh bakery, nice staff and often staff giving coupons to Locals who forgot or never received them. Love it!!!!!!
On our way into the store there was an older man with white hair spitting at POC customers wearing a mask. We saw this same man grocery shopping in the store not wearing a mask. Many customers in the store were not wearing a mask nor were they practiceing social distancing. The Store was clean, the staff was polite and shelves were stocked. Some items in the store we felt were a bit overpriced especially in the bakery section. Over all it was nice to go check it out but not worth the drive for us to go back.
Fantastic service, great prices... The specials are often unbeatable! I would suggest you go in for fresh produce, and not just the household goods that they have in the middle of the store, some seasonal Christmas items are already on sale and unfortunately they do sell out of their more popular deals! Totally worth walking into and exploring ☺️
I actually drive a little to get to this store, hence 4 out of 5 stars. Its a Aldis type of store, same basic concept it seems, except no shopping cart use for a quarter, theyre free here. I know they are owned by the same company. Lots of varieties and the prices seem lower than Walmart. Nice clean store and great customer service. Huge selection of sweets, organic produce and vegetarian(vegan) products. I cant wait to get one in my neighborhood.
Opening day was very friendly! They were relatively well stocked. The staff was courteous and cheerful and pretty knowledgeable.Wheelchair accessibility seemed okay. They are missing somethings, but the store is new. Theyre also not enforcing Covid 19 distancing as they should.Still, this is a great choice to add to the neighborhood.
I forgot to bring bags as it was my first time in the store and didnt know what to expect. All $100 worth of food stuff in my trunk in the blazing heat... Should have done some research first I guess. Over all store reminded me of Aldi, but cleaner and smell new.. The staff was somewhat friendly 1 or 2 and they were out of butter milk so that made me give them a 3. Last but not least not sure if they wipe down those carts..: Just saying!!
Don’t expect any sort of customer service coming to this location.I’ve been various times as it’s nearby, but the employees are constantly rude and make absolutely no attempt to have any sort of customer service. Great location and great variety of options when it comes to what they have to offer but their customer service is non-existent.
I have been going to this store since it opened but recently there are no wipes, hand sanitizer etc at the front. I hope this is not an indication of the overall cleanliness of the store. They do have some items I really like but always end up going to Publix for items I cant find at Lidl.
They were really good when they opened few months back. For the the last few visits however, we have seen empty shelves and items missing altogether. For a small store like Lidl, if you don’t stock up quickly, it becomes difficult for us to go there and not get our groceries list completed. I would stick to Kroger/Publix, as I have to go there eventually anyways.
This store however maybe new, it looked so run down! The shelfs were empty, freezer, cooler , didnt find any butter or anything that was on their ad, seems like they dont have enough employee to stock, bakery had hardly anything, I was there right before open, finally someone appeared shortly after 8 taking his time to open the door. The employees looked tired and not motivated and the cashier just looked at me when i asked how are you?
First time visiting LIDL store and I was pleasantly impressed. It reminded me of a little European neighborhood store, well stocked and incredibly helpful employees who seem to take great pride in working for LIDL. It will definitely be my go to market and I will pass the word!
I dont usually write negative comments but this Lidl was a huge disappointment. Unopened food and pershipable boxes in aisles. Displays poorly done. And the one cashier was very rude and had no tolerance. I base this negative comment because I normally shop at the Lidl store in Mableton, Georgia. The Mableton Lidl store is well organized, clean and the cashiers are very friendly. I wanted to see how the North Druid Hills Lidl store was operated. What a huge disappointment. I will never shop at this store again and once again say the Mableton Lidl store is a breath of fresh air and a very enjoyable shopping experience!
Super reasonable prices. Brings a tonnes of options for international chocolates and some good variety Italian and other European products. They keep rotating international groceries. The store is very clean (coz its brand new). They run lot of promotions on various items. You have to bring your own bags or buy reusable bags or paper bags which are not expensive. There is plenty of free parking around.
So excited to have a Lidl closer than Snellville. Great values! I found this store to be less organized and clean compared to Snellville location. No one was cleaning carts and there were a couple random carts just sitting in front of store. It is not as big as some other Lidl store so I felt a bit cramped on a few isles. A couple of the toilet paper and paper towel packages were ripped. I might have to drive the extra ten miles to Snellville to feel like my family is safe. I truly hope this store makes some changes and makes it. It is so nice to have a Lidl close to my house.
Much smaller than typical Lidl stores. Its tiny, but it has the essentials for the most part. The main downside for this store is total lack of space or tables to use for bagging your groceries. Theres nothing. And everybody is impatient in the lines so they will shove you and your stuff right out of the way. The store always has closed registers and far too many shopping carts in the lobby, so theres floorspace being wasted. But theyve got zero space for bagging. It makes no sense.

2022-04-23What can I say about this place, its a godsend and dream for people on a budget looking for quality groceries. They have everything! Even gluten free bread and organic and vegan foods. Great produce and fresh baked goods. This is now my favorite grocery store. Bought like two weeks worth of food for two people for under $200 and if my family were straight vegan, it probably would be waaaay less than that.Highly recommend checking them out. Only thing is, you need to bring your own bags or can purchase them, they are not free but are reusable.

2022-07-17Fresh reasonably priced food items, organic nuts and berries were priced much better than places like WholeFoods with comparable quality. I did NOT like the bakery section that was opened for shoppers to stick their hands in. I would have purchased had that not been the case. For me thats a huge issue they need to correct.

2020-09-11Welcome to the neighborhood little market! This is a delightful store, clean the employees are super nice, and it has all of your basic food items. And even a few surprises. This is a bring your own bag store, and it is worth every penny. The food is fresh, plentiful, and the store is organized very efficiently. Highly recommend!

2022-05-28I want to like it here because the prices are so good but all of the veg and fruit I brought home was not good. The strawberries leaked in my car. The ones on top looked nice but when I opened them 75% were rotten. The peppers I bought had a rotten spot and when I opened the apples my apple had a rotten spot too. I thought I did a good job picking them out but the packaging camouflages the rotten spots. Also the banana’s I bought which were ripe had weird hard spots inside. I think I am going to pay a little more somewhere else for better quality produce.

2022-04-26Great prices, absolutely rancid vibes. I dont mind bagging my own stuff, I am an independent woman, but if you dont bag fast enough (and its never fast enough) they glare at you and throw the groceries at you. Frankly, I deserve it (4 stars)

2020-07-09Brand new store opening. Some of the price items were comparable to other grocery stores like Aldi. Found selection of other items that were price significantly cheaper than your mainstream grocery stores. Very clean, and friendly customer Associates. They even have a fresh bakery located inside. They also carry a selection of novelty and seasonal items. Highly recommend.
