We were so excited to find this place while in town for the weekend. Upon arriving we were impressed by the ambiance and looked forward to a little lunch and a few rounds of pool. Well, our good vibes were totally disturbed by the straight up rudeness of this waiter we encountered. While we were perfectly fine with the wait due to the kitchen being backed up; we finished our beers and round of pool (paid our bill of course) and left. I was very offended and disappointed with this experience.
Rude staff. We came for drinks and some food. We were told food was an hour wait, so I just ordered a quick drink so we could leave. I let my friend who we were dining with try my drink and the server immediately ran over to check his ID (which is understandable), but he is over 21 so it should not have been an issue. They started hounding the other person who was with us just because they were there. They never even had anything to drink. They told us it was 21+ after 9PM, which was a little hilarious considering there were children at the table next to us. Nobody told us it was 21+ after 9 or we would have happily gone somewhere else. I even checked the website beforehand and considering there were kids there, we never even thought it would be an issue. We chose this place because it is a restaurant and a bar. It was just a really rude experience because the server was obviously creating an issue just for there to be one. There was a more polite way to go about the situation.
Came here after a concert because it was one of the only places nearby that stays open until midnight. I sat at the bar and the service was slow. This was mainly due to one bartender serving the majority of the bar plus making all the drinks for the tables while the other bartender was doing next to nothing. One bartender was literally running around trying to serve everyone while the other bartender was continuous leaned up against the bar talking to the same two customers. The bartender that was running around was very friendly and went above and beyond to do her job. The food itself was decent and the drinks were good however I probably won’t go back.
The food NEVER disapoints!! We always start with the spin dip and sometimes also the fried pickles or artichoke hearts! We usually get one vegetarian/vegan dish and a meat eater dish (for me!). As a side the fries are great and the mashed switch potatoes are always a go to. Service is usually on point as well! We definitely recommend this place!!
The food here is not your typical bar food, its AMAZING. I ordered the blackened chicken sandwich, and it was the juiciest piece of chicken Ive had in a very long time. And the fries were also fantastic! Compliments to the chef!! And major shout out to our server Megan as well for truly great service. She kept checking in on me and my friend to make sure we had what we needed. She was not only friendly and kind, but also authentic. I sincerely look forward to going back, and Ill be recommending this restaurant to others!!
Mimosas were great! Had pulp and great taste however the food was so disappointing. I ordered a fried chicken sandwich with fries and the fries came out so small, I probably got the last batch before they had to drope new ones cause looked like crumbs. Chicken was not tender maybe frozen too long? My friend ordered nachos and didn’t come with sour cream and barely had chicken or any queso. Will not be eating here again but would come back for the drinks
Today was my first time visiting Little 5 Corner Tavern. It was fantastic. I always base my reviews on 3 major factors. The service, the cleanliness, and the food. All those things check for me. Sierra was fantastic. She made sure we were well taken care of. The decor and the view are fabulous. Parking can be a little problematic but first come first serve I guess.
Visiting from Chicago, IL, my friend took me to L5P as a part of my trip down to ATL. We ended up going to L5C since The Vortex does not accept people under 21 (bummer since Im less than a month away from turning 21 and was only there for the food!). While I did not try out any drinks, the food was pretty decent but nothing over the top. I ordered the Reuben sandwich which tasted pretty good, but I thought that the rye bread wasnt as tangy of a taste as I wouldve preferred. The brussels, which were roasted well, had a bit too much sauce though the flavors complimented better than I thought. Overall, the price was about $20 for my meal, which is a little pricey that I wouldve paid for bar food.
This rating goes for the rooftop waiter!Only rating 1 star because that is the least I can do. Off the bat waiter was demanding orders of where we sit and how we sit. The customary glasses and water were brought out by the waiters fingers inside the glass. Took half the drink order, went to order the other half of drinks and said patience and walked off. Ask for a glass with ice and lemons and refused to bring it because he said” we don’t do that here, we use small glasses, y’all must not be from around here”. When food was brought out, his fingers and hands were touching the food and top of plate. Never got checked on. Very disrespectful and not friendly.
Cant come to Little 5 and not grab a drink at the corner tavern. They have an awesome rooftop which is sometimes open. One dart board and two pool tables on the inside. Not the best place to watch a game as there arent a lot of TVs but it can be done if you sit at the bar. Staff is cool, friendly, and attentive. Good drink selection. I had the black and blue burger and it was cooked to order and I would highly recommend it.
I will never go back to the Corner Tavern in little 5 points. The customer service is horrible. The waiter was Caucasian and she maybe came to our table two times. My family and I ended up leaving, we put an order in for appetizers after 30 minutes it didnt come out. It was not busy Im disappointed at this establishment. Please dont eat at this location
Visiting from out of state. So our server took everyones order, looked at me 3 times and proceeded to walk away. Got him to take my order and then he didnt bring it when everything else came. When asked where it was, he was very rude and replied I dont work in the kitchen. He should have just admitted he forgot. Being short staffed isnt an excuse to be rude. Will never be back!!
This was the worst service I’ve experienced in a long time. Our server was rude and inattentive despite the restaurant being almost empty. Our food wasn’t great either. Living nearby I’ve given this place multiple chances and I’m always disappointed compared to other options in this area.
The atmosphere of the venue is nice. I sat on the roof. The view was awesome, but it was way too hot. There is very little shade on the roof. As for the customer service, our server was polite, friendly and move with urgency. The food, on the other hand was mediocre. I had the waffle burger and it had way too much sauce on it. The presentation was nice, but I couldn’t eat much because of the sauce. The highlight was the bottomless mimosas. They’re $16.00 per person, but it’s worth it. Overall, it was a nice spot to try and conveniently located. I would definitely come back to try a different plate and maybe sit inside.
Its like walking into a small town bar!The staff are always nice and work efficiently. If you come on slower times, the staff are really engaging and you can tell they enjoy what they do and the environment and atmosphere shows it.For it to be labeled a bar, the food and menu they offer sure is deceiving: in a good way! After taking my mom and her trying her favorite of salmon with the fresh brussel sprouts, shes hooked as much as I am! Having tried almost everything they offer on the menu, it never disappoints.Go for the awesome staff, bring friends or a date for the food!
Came here to get a couple drinks before a concert. Didnt realize there was a cocktail crawl going on, and they got really busy. Even with their business, the staff was super friendly and efficient. I ordered the Tavern Club and it was delicious! The atmosphere in here is great. Cant wait to come back.
Got some nachos for the table. They were large and covered in everything you want on nachos. Had a couple mixed drinks between us. All were strong, but how we wanted them. The old fashioned was really good! Service was on point. Our server was extremely friendly and was nice to offer up recommendations! The whole vibe of the place was nice.
I love the Buffalo shrimps they are to die for and the awesome freakin bartender bebe she is great helpful and made me the best drink and I am not a drinker at all and I finished the whole thing thanks for the great experience and thanks for the awesome customer service from the bartenders down to the server he was so nice and polite I am dang sure coming back great awesome spot no wait great food ❤️❤️
The food was alright but I dont know who the man that came to our table after finishing our food and paying but very unprofessional.. Im assuming hes the manager but was very rude and nasty.. telling us we NEED to tip more.. but off rip we read on yall rules that 20% was charged on the check for service, sooo this man proceeds to tell us (a customer) that we either pay a 20% tip or never come back... we never received a receipt showing us what we paid for and we left feeling real dissatisfied and judged... that man needs to learn manner honestly, didnt even let us talk
The food was excellent. The chairs on the roof however not very comfy, and the service was not great. We asked for ketchup for the fries 3 times but never got any so we ended up going downstairs to get it ourselves since the fries were getting cold. Other than that the food was very good though, would recommend on a less busy night (we went on a Friday night)
Sat down with some friends and the waiter asked for what we wanted to drink. My girlfriend and I ordered a Bloody Mary and a Margarita. The waiter just nodded his head and was waiting for the rest of our friends to order their drinks. My girlfriend also added, while our friends were ordering, can we also get some water? The waiter immediately gave us attitude and said, patience, you need to be patient in a very rude tone. Not sure what was wrong with the guy, but we left immediately. The waiter didnt care that we were leaving either. Truly the worst customer service we have ever experienced. Will never be returning to this location.
I had a great experience here although it was out of my norm of places to eat but Im glad that I had the opportunity to eat here because the food was good and the family friendly service was good enough for me to refer a few friends. ( eating and listening to rock music soft and hard was a first for me but made the experience just that more enjoyable)
Great dive-like bar to grab a drink (good selection of beers) and a bite to eat (good burgers). The place was fairly busy on a Friday night, which I appreciated. A good vibe inside: people playing pool, throwing darts. Theres a good number of tvs around the bar. Parking is a bit difficult, but its doable. Theres paid parking nearby, and street parking on Euclid Ave. A lot of the nearby side streets are permit parking only. I parked on Euclid Ave and walked through Little 5 which was a fun experience.
They’re getting a generous 3 stars because our server was friendly. The food was awful. We got spinach artichoke dip, and it was thicker than day old clam chowder. There was artichokes, a lot of cream and cheese, but no spinach. Some may like it, but it wasn’t for us. The Buffalo chicken sandwich had a burnt bun that was inedible, the “fried chicken breast” was like a pregrilled piece of chicken that they tried to bread and sauce, but the batter with wing sauce was falling off completely. This is a place for drinks, but food is lacking severely!!
Coming to L5P on a seemingly post pandemic Saturday we expected a wait and were pleasantly surprised when we were sat right away. Unfortunately it was all down hill from there. Our drink order wasn’t taken until 10 mins later. We ordered our food and over 45 mins later we weren’t served even though patrons who arrived after us no only received their order but also paid their bill. Our server completely avoided us. We ended up leaving cash for our drinks and walking out. Servers shouldn’t a actively avoid patrons who are trying to get their attention. V disappointing
Me and my husband just drank some alcohol here, him a beer and me a mixed drink I would have liked more alcohol in my mixed drink and they didnt have a coors light beer so my husband had to drink a bud light but were not complaining this place was nicely set up and the bartender was cool and helpful.😀
Really enjoyed the truffle burger here. The fried pickles were a little on the salty side, but still enjoyed them.Service is pretty good for the most part, but may have been an off night for our server. She was very friendly, but forgot a couple things my friends requested a couple times and not many patrons present at the time.
A friend girl of mine went to another location and had a good time, she took me to one in 5 points and it was horrible. All wings was dry as though they had being left over. They nickeled and dimed us for everything. Brought me sauce late for wings after they were gone and still charged me. I dont recommend this place to anyone
The food here was absolutely immaculate! And the customer service is pretty good. I got the balsamic burger medium well and the flavors jumping! My partner got the Tavernator and it was MASSIVE! The only issue is we ordered the Mac and cheese and it was loads of oil at the bottom bowl, almost as if they gave us the last serving of that batch. Also the fries portion was pretty small. Other than those two, I love this place and definitely going back.
Food good, service lacking. My wife and I shared a good size salad and artichoke appetizer which were tasty. Burgers and sandwich were also lager and filling. Servers were not able to keep up with a Saturday afternoon crowd. We were there over an hour and only had one refill of our non alcoholic drinks. This seems to be a better bar than grill.
Alexis was an awesome server! Our meal was modestly priced and they had a lot of substantial vegan options. Everything was clean and it wasnt crowded for a friday night. A meal for two with beers and shots, qs well as an upcharged side and appetizer was around $50. The vegan reuben was great! We will be back :)
I literally drove 35!min for them to undercook my burger which should have been well done. I have definitely taken pictures of this nonsense Incase I end up sick. And that’s not to mention the kids amount of fries or the tall guy who kept sneezing but still was serving food..Terrible experience..
Slow service and mediocre food. We got here at 7 pm on a Saturday, self-seated, and eventually a hostess saw us by 7:30. After the four of us ordered drinks and food, three of us had our drinks 15 minutes later, one drink took 45 minutes to arrive. By 8:20, our food arrived overcooked, dry and greasy (the mac and cheese had to be drained out onto the plate). My black and blue burger actually did feel like it lost a fight, though it was more black than blue as the burger was pretty overcooked and no amount of blue cheese could save it. My drink was okay, albeit I had to order two drinks at one point to ensure I wasnt waiting so long. Water cups are maybe 4 oz at best. Our waitress was absent, appearing to serve upstairs and downstairs at the same time. I will not be returning.
My second time at this spot and I did not know they had a rooftop area. This time around we sat upstairs due to covid. (I just want to be outside) .I was not feeling my best so I ended up drinking water the entire night, we order a sandwich and buffalo shrimp. Which was all very good. My guy ordered a coffee beer -lol from pstb. Everything was yummy!Great prices, Great atmosphere and good food. We will definitely be back!
Walked in, seemed great. Service started out great. But once we got our food, it was horrible. It wasn’t the waitress’s fault, and we weren’t rude or even trying to be rude about us not liking the food but we complained and she clearly took it personal. But her attitude started when or group order to rum & cokes and the waitress literally told us they put water in, which is why we complained about the drinks, they were watered down, but she gave us attitude for complaining. Again weren’t being rude or even tried to be, but it didn’t matter what we said she had an attitude and so we decided to leave, but before we could pay our bill, we had to wait at the bar while she acknowledged our existence at the bar, she took her time to complain about us to the bartender. She took off the bad drinks and the hummus that had zero salt added along with what seemed to be a piece of hard pimiento cheese inside of it. But still bad vibe so won’t be coming back now.
My wife patronized this location for a 2nd time, but for curbside instead of dine in and there was no tomatoes, pickles or lettuce on the burgers as the dine in experience 4 days prior. The call back to the manager yielded no concerns or resolve. The kicker is the food has her in the bathroom sick!!! Horrible experience for a Carpetbagger burger. The Mean Green Black Bean is straight Trash bound. Hope this passes soon... horrible in a pandemic! Horrible service is 1 thing but sickness with the food is on a totally different level. Be careful where you’re eating out.
Awesome beer selection here - they’re open late. Very inexpensive. I have never ordered any food, so i can’t speak to that. They have awesome artwork curated by the owners. And there is a stairwell to an upstairs patio that’s also covered in a cool tattoo-style mural. I haven’t seen this place overly busy - but I hear it gets packed in holidays like crampus crawl. They have darts and pool and other bar games. Love this neighborhood bar.
Atmosphere and food was fantastic! Brenda was our server and she was outstanding, never forgot a thing even while she was busy and training a new girl!! Spencer was on top of everything when he brought out the food, he was very polite and made sure that we were happy with what we ordered before leaving our table! Bravo to L5CT!!!
The food here is awesome. I had the mastodon and it was nothing short of amazing. My daughter had the wings and my husband had the cheese steak sandwich. Both of them were very satisfied. It’s not a place for kids per se, hence the absence of a kid’s menu and all the “dark” decor of skeletons, etc, which made my daughter want to leave...but when she received her wings, everything faded into the background. The place is quite dusty. Our waiter was sub par, (didn’t take drink orders, or give us napkins or eating utensils) but other staff walked by to check on us and filled in the gaps, so we were taken care of. I would return.
Always a great brunch experience. Came here right when brunch began to beat the brunch wait with four of my friends. All of us loved our food. I know a few people got the wings. They were able to blend a few items to make what i wanted which I appreciated and their bottomless mimosas are not a bad price. Definitely a place I would recommend for brunch. Love the fact that you can also sit outside =)
First time for me and my wife today and we were both pleasantly surprised at how delicious everything was! We expected typical pub grub but were met with outstanding wings, nachos and the Cajun BLT. We highly recommend this spot and will definitely be regular patrons...
Corner Tavern is truly a delight. The staff is friendly and fast. Their drinks are strong and food is delicious. They are reasonably priced which is an added bonus.COVID Update - If youre looking for a COVID socially distance friendly place - come here! They take socially distancing very seriously. There is an outdoor patio and a roof top bar. All of the guests and staff are wearing masks as well. You cant go wrong with Corner Tavern L5P!
Good food for sure. Service is hit and miss. Over the last 6 or 7 visits I think my server may have been under the influence about 50% of the time. I would care if my order was right but that’s not the case. Asked for my beer twice.....never arrived. I ended up going to the bar and getting my drink there. If the less than ideal service continues I’ll probably just go somewhere else for trivia.
Great FOOD! Great SERVICE!!!! Wonderful ale selection. Laid back atmosphere, very comfortable vibe. Will go back.only constructive criticism; the occasional gnat was terribly annoying, if I could have paid attention to my guests and not had to monitor my glass, it would have been a perfect experience.Four stars.
Stopped in after not having been here in years, when it used to be a crusty metal bar. Way nicer now. Wonderful bar tender who wound up serving us at our booth, never forgot to come check on us. Food was great when everything else around was closing their kitchen. They came through like champs.
Definitely wont go back. The food was decent, which is why I gave it 2 stars instead of 1. I met some friends here for lunch New Years Eve, and we made sure to call ahead to see how long the wait was since our first 2 options had hour+ waiting lists. The guy on the phone assured us there was no wait. We walk in and are told to sit anywhere. Cool. The waitress comes and takes our drink orders, then we dont see her for another 20 minutes or so. She takes our food orders, and we dont eat for another hour! So much for no wait. When we ask our server whats going on, she unapologetically tells us that theyre short-staffed (the restaurant isnt busy at all) and our food will be right out. I dont even recall her checking in on us during that hour. Several tables that came in after us got their food before us. Then one of my friends asks to speak to the manager, but were left hanging again. So my friend asks again and the waitress hastily tells her that the manager took 50% off our checks, which was great but we just asked to speak to him face to face and thats not what we got. He eventually comes over and apologized but the whole situation left a really bad taste in my mouth. Our waitress wasnt necessarily rude, but being short-staffed isnt an excuse to completely neglect the table. Im thankful our checks were adjusted, but I definitely will not go back.
If I could rate 0 stars, I would. My family’s first time coming here. The food was okay, but the service was horrible. Our waiter came to give our menus, and drinks, and we never saw him after that. No one else came to our table, unless they were dropping off food. We had to ask other waiters to refill our drinks, and for the check. We assumed that our waiter ended his shift while serving us and we were not helped unless we asked for it. Would not recommend, and would not come back. We’ll stick to Five Points Pizza next door instead.
Advertised house special cocktail on tap was out so we had some whipped up fresh for us... They were just okay. We finished them quickly; not because they were tasty but because nothing about this place made us want to hang for long. Great daily specials and bar games, tho! Cool neighborhood, not my fav bar around.
The customer service from our waiter saved this place from getting zero stars from me. My group and I popped in for a late bite after an event that was around the corner. Restaurant was semi full. While you can pretty much sit anywhere, the only table available at that moment that could accommodate us wasnt clean. Took the waiter a few minutes to get it together, but like I said, super friendly guy. Food wasnt exactly anything to write home about, and dont get the house salad. Its pretty much- no, it is- lettuce and a couple of tomato wedges. My husband had to practically beg the kitchen for some extras to go on it. Even our waiter realized that was ridiculous and apologized. For us, it was just a last resort place because we were super hungry.
The roof top patio was awesome, and our server (Ben) was excellent! Jovial, energetic, and awesome! The food, however, was lack-luster. Definitely not the best bar food in the area. For $12 more flavor was expected out of the blackened chicken quesadillas. We had one pimento in our pimento cheese on our appetizer plate. And, the highly recommended mango salsa wasnt fresh. This would be a great place for drinks, but we will not come back for dinner.
I love this place !!! The staff is so wonderful and the food and drinks are always so good. Such a loving place, the only place I’m going to during COVID-19 bc they take distancing seriously and all of the staff is masked and very mindful of keeping everyone safe. Special shout out to Mikey, BB, Sierra and Sally for handling a truly awful customer who was only causing problems for the staff and the other customers. Love to all of the staff
Since the pandemic, I dont go out much, out of safety concerns not only for myself but for the working class people who make up the staff at bars and restaurants, but I finally decided to get out and enjoy a socially distanced bite to eat. Ill start by saying that they made me feel safe with the extra steps and precautions theyve put in place, they had a host seating guests, cleaning tables, wiping surfaces and making sure those that entered had masks on. I was given hand sanitizer wipes on entry and before I left which I found thoughtful. It seemed like they have thought a lot about how to keep everyone safe and I fully appreciated that. I enjoyed the variety of foods they have here, you certainly wont have an issue finding something delicious to eat (though you might have a problem making a decision as it all sounds amazing)! Ive been trying to eat less meat so I chose the Spicy Chicken-less Chicken Sammy, two firm and perfectly crisp tofu patties, tossed and covered with the perfect amount of spicy, topped with swiss and a cool vegan ranch to round out that classic flavor. It was honestly the best vegan sammy ive had. The service was great, I wouldnt have even known there was a vegan sammy if it wasnt for my server telling me about it (i know, i suck at actually reading the menu, its terrible) and the whole staff seemed to be working together well. All in all, this was a success and I felt safe doing it. 10/10 experience for sure.
Im not normally one to make a negative review on a dining experience because I know how hard the work is. But this experience was so disappointing that I feel I simply have to.Lets start with the good, I enjoyed the decorations. The whole place was super Stranger Things themed for Halloween and I thought theyd done a good job with the decorations. Spooky, creative, and fun.Unfortunately, thats all the good I have to say. My party and I went in for brunch with some other folks. The booths were not really configured for a large group of people, so we didnt all have a big table to sit at and in order to talk to others we had to get up and move around. The table we were seated at had a hole in the ceiling where water would drip down on the person sitting on the outside of the booth every now and then, a minor annoyance, but probably something they should get fixed. We got coffee, which was kinda crummy and tasted old. Normally Im pretty chill about a cup of Joe, but this wasnt even at the level of waffle house coffee, I even declined a free refill because it tasted so bad.The wait for our food was quite long, which I wouldnt mind if the quality of the food was good once we got it, unfortunately that was also not the case. I ordered the Belgian Waffle Burger, two hamburger patties on top of Belgian waffles with a fried egg on top, covered in Hollandaise sauce. The hollandaise sauce tasted somewhat off, a bit more sour than it should have, and the burger part of the meal was burnt. I ate maybe half of it and didnt bother with a to go box, which is something I almost never do because I hate wasting food. One of the other people at my table ordered the same meal and it came out the same way, so it does not seem to have been a fluke. Additionally, the other person at my table was initially given the wrong meal, which could have been a problem as they have a food allergy. Fortunately, the mistake was noticed and corrected. Finally, perhaps the topper to all this, and what has pushed me to write this review, on the wall there was a picture which said Ask for a manager,Be a helper, dont be a YELPer. Indicating to me that they dont want people to review their establishment. Well Corner Tavern, I see your message, but I respectfully disagree. if you want positive reviews, you need to provide a positive experience, if you want feedback, you should ask your patrons how they are doing while they are in your establishment, not just passive aggressively suggest that providing feedback online is a negative thing, and if you want to avoid negative reviews, you should avoid burning your food, fix your ceiling, learn how to make coffee that doesnt taste like disappointment, and maybe put up a less passive aggressive sign suggesting people give you feedback, as the one youve currently posted makes me feel as if a conversation with the manager would have been a very unpleasant experience as its presentation is kinda confrontational at the outset.I truly hope that your restaurant improves in the future. But i do truly hope that you are able to improve. Its hard being a small business and I respect that, but I could not let this disappointment go unspoken. Best of luck.
The food was good and the drinks were decent. Went there yesterday for brunch and bottomless mimosas with some friends. One of the people in our party got sick from drinking too much and threw up on the floor. I was told by the waiter and manager that it is not their responsibility to clean it up and told me I had to do it or pay my waitress $75 to clean it. I ended up cleaning it up and then as more people started to come in they told me that I didn’t have to clean anymore that I did or as thorough and that they will do the rest. I felt like they tried to take advantage of us because we were under the influence. Not sure if this is a common thing or not but I’ve never heard about this and my bartending friends told me that this should have never occurred.
The portions are generous for the pricing. I recommend the nachos and burgers as well as the frozen limeades! If the dark ,cool inside isnt your style they also have outdoor rooftop seating that gives you a great people of the neighboring bars and shops . Oh and top it off the staff are friendly and chill!
Food is great and the servings are monsters. Came with some people for a birthday and the staff was very friendly. The feel of the place is very comfortable and the pricing is reasonable. The place wasnt packed out but It did not feel empty either. Definitely worth stopping in to try
Good options for cocktails, even a whiskey doused in tobacco smoke that bathed the entire glass in a smoked aroma. It even imparted the smoke to my hands, which was a bit much for me as a nonsmoker but was still pretty cool as an option. They have a nice little rooftop bar thats perfect in nice weather and has a few covered seats if its raining lightly.
Brunch is great here, the sandwich was delicious! And lets be real, you cant beat bottomless mimosas on a rooftop patio in nice weather. The service was helpful and not too invasive, he kept us happy! This place makes for some good people-watching too since you can see over the main stretch of Little 5
A pleasant surprkse is why I give this 5 stars. I expected standard bar food. Dont let what appears to be a straightforward bar menu fool you. Our party of 5 all enjoyed creative flavors & interpretations. Fine service and a great vibe. Dark, high ceilings, & fun decor.
I love playing pool here, there’s usually a great vibe with solid service. It can be hard to get time on the pool table, seeing as there are only two. It’s also a great spot for spending a Sunday drinking bottomless mimosas on the rooftop patio - again it can be hard to find a table. I can’t say the same for the bar service; I haven’t been served by the friendliest of bartenders.
Need to take more pride cooks in kitchen food was just thrown together. First time and tried the mean green black bean burger and was a NO... I didnt even get the fried green tomato. And my onion rings were hella burnt. Maybe need to change fryers too. Dissatisfied with food quality for what I paid. Sad
Ive lived in Atlanta for 16 years and finally stopped into this place this past weekend. It was an ungodly hot day out side so first thing I noticed was it was nice and cool inside....no chance in hell was I going up to the rooftop, you could see from the outside that there was little retreat from the elements up there. The atmosphere was good, it was clean, everyone was nice and they had multiple tvs with the World Cup on....so far so good.Took a seat at a small table near the bar, the assistant GM came over and gave us menus and such, all good, zero complaints. They played hand off because a female wait staff came to get our drink orders, of which I decided on the Bourbon Cowboy special they had advertised. IDK who thought of this, but as a bourbon drinker looking for something just a tad on the lighter side than just my usual on the rocks, this was good...I mean REAL GOOD.I ordered the Zombie burger with spinach for my meal (burger with pepper sauce and jack cheese) and thats where things went downhill just a tad....there was so very little flavor for the burger. Its like the relied on the pepper jack cheese and roasted red pepper sauce and forgot basic salt and pepper. My side of sauteed spinach was good, but there was literally 4 forks worth of spinach, thats it... it fit in a tiny little ramekin and cost $2 more than your avg. side.I liked everything about this place.... the vibe, the staff was cool and attentive, the drink....just left feeling underwhelmed with the food itself. Ill give it another go for sure but hopefully theyll step it up in the kitchen soon.
I hadnt visited Little 5 in quite some time, so Little 5 Corner Tavern was new to me. The atmosphere was awesome, the bartenders were very attentive and even made my friend another drink after she was dissatisfied with the one she ordered. I overheard a small comment made by one of the bartenders (maybe manager) to another, and with having been in the business in the past, it was great to hear what he said. It was about something unpleasant but the fact that they CARED about it, made me feel even better about the place. Go here for an array of food, good drinks and a chill vibe!
Love it. I come to play pool a lot, but I put my card on file once then ended up paying in cash and they still charged my card!!! So make sure if you do that they dont charge you twice. Beer prices are amazing and drinks takes wonderful. Karaoke nights are pretty fun too!
Would you like a side of attitude with those fries? Well, at Corner Tavern you can get a side of egotistic eye rolls for free! Every time I have been here, the waitstaff have been incredibly rude, as if they are too cool to talk to you let alone take your order. The food IS really good here but, in my opinion, that fact is completely overshadowed by the terrible service. Good luck if you go on a weekend.
The service was the worst Ive ever had and the food was cold and dry. We waited to order for 30 minutes then it took 40 min to get our food. The manager said that the kitchen was backed up but when we got our food it was wrong and cold! The manager offered a 10% discount when he should have compt the whole thing due to the terrible service, cold food and wrong orders. The manager brought out ONE piece of tiramisu for 6 people which was also not edible. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Poor management , service and food. To top it off all our tickets were incorrect.
Gluten-free beer. The end. Except that chickpea salad is good, too. Queso has nice flavor beyond drinkable cheese. Good place for bigger groups, theyve got some big booths and tables. Sitting on the roof doesnt mean a decline in service, like some places. The one and only annoying thing is the L5P tourists who come in, trying to fit 20 people at a 2-top on the roof and dont know how to act in a restaurant.
French toast was delicious but the grits were not so good. I also ordered a mojito without looking at the menu which happened to be made with basil. I was expecting mint so I tried to send it back but the waitress refused to accommodate me. When I requested to speak with the manager she lied and said that the manager said it couldnt be switched. When I asked to speak with the manager personally she came up and had no problem switching the drink. The manager was stylish & very sweet and Im not sure why this waitress went above and beyond for poor customer service but I hope she learns from this.
Service is quite spotty. Takes forever to flag a waiter to be the table. Veggie quesadilla is super wet and falling apart, fried pickles are barely done, had to ask for silverware and cups for our pitcher. The view from up top is great but would not recommend this place to hang out.
I like everything about the bar except that people can smoke inside. Decorations on the wall are cool, food is good and they have a good selection of drinks. The cigarette smell is not terribly smelly, just annoying because I have asthma. I still enjoy coming here when it isnt packed with people.
Ive been here multiple times and truly loved it (even gave a 5 star review earlier this year) but recently returned and had the worst experience Ive ever had in a restaurant. We went for bottomless mimosas (advertised until 3 pm) which were cut short at 2:45, told by Tori i mean, i cant just give you 10 bottles of champagne. We were playing pool which they charge $10 an hour for (absurd in the first place) and which we only played an hour and a half of but got charged for 4 hours of. Beyond that for a group of 4 we got charged a 20% gratuity which Tori absolutely didnt deserve because we had to seek her out every time we needed refills or food. Needless to say we are very disappointed with the customer service we received and are not likely to return despite previous enjoyment. I understand everyone has bad days but there is absolutely no excuse for the treatment we received.
2/3 of the others meals at my table were burned, and their hollandaise sauce tasted off. Food took a long time to get out even though it wasnt busy when we got there. I ordered grits, bacon and eggs off the a la carte menu and asked them to change gloves before preparing it since I have a gluten allergy. My food was ok (grits were actually pretty tasty), but they gave me my table mates similar meal, I asked is this my gluten free meal they said yes, so I had a few bites then they realized no, theyd given me the wrong plate, after Id rather some of the food that hadnt been prepared with fresh gloves. Not long after brunch was over I was ill with diarrhea 😷
Horrible service picking up a to go order. Was not greeted or acknowledged while standing at the bar on a NOT crowded evening. Was charged a service charge on the order and then not given the correct change when I paid. Dont round down my change when youve already included tip in the bill. Its called integrity. To top it off, the fries were lukewarm and stale and the food was lack luster and overpriced. Will stick to the Vortex next time Im in Little 5.
This was one of the worst, entirely overpriced, meals I’ve ver had. I had the zombie burger which is accurate because it tasted like death. How the heck do you mess up a burger?? It had ZERO flavor except what the cow was born with; not even salt or pepper which are like the most basic ingredients. The service was also terrible. The waitress was mostly dismissive, the service slow, they even charged for barbecue sauce. WHAT KIND OF RESTAURANT CHARGES FOR BARBECUE SAUCE??? I was very disappointed to say the least .
Oh lordy this is some mighty fine eats and dranks. Lots of folks wearing clothes that look like Goodwill throwaways but thats all good. Good, cold beer, tasty food (though them Artichoke Hearts get fried all the way to burnt sometimes) and decent sammichs. Plus my car has not been broken into once so thats going for me too.
So L5CT is the place I have turned to over the years when Im in the area and want to enjoy my meal, drinks, and socializing without feeling rushed (like a couple other popular places in the neighborhood). They have a couple of pool tables, too. All of the food Ive ever tried here has been great. Theres an extensive drink selection and the staff is always nice. There are many corner tavern locations on the Atlanta metro, and this ones my favorite.
I have come here a few times for drinks and have never been disappointed until yesterday. The bar tender had such an awful attitude with me from the second she laid eyes on me. She kept being snarky with me and I brushed it off- I asked if they had a specific beer and she rudely responded, “I have NEVER heard of THAT” and rolled her eyes. They were not even busy so I don’t know why she felt the need to respond that way (and I’m a paying customer). It was a dramatic response for a reasonable question. It’s too bad because we enjoy coming here but I’m not paying someone to treat me like that. Luckily there are other bars that we ended up walking to where we got great service. Her attitude lost her money and lost the Bar money.
Used to be my favorite wings but now theyre smoked. Service can be spotty. Sometimes youll get someone amazing and sometimes youll get a huuuuuuuge jerk. Bottomless mimosas are fun and cheap but now theyre doing a 20% service charge on those- Im not sure if thats actually gratuity or what... Honestly, if you can go to the Edgewood location, youll have a much better and consistent experience.
Usually enjoy it here. Tonight, sat on the rooftop and had a waitress in an orange shirt act like we were an absolute nuisance to her. Place was busy, but this was the worst service Ive ever encountered. At one point, she was arguing with my friend, and said if i wasnt working right now, it would be a different story A threat to a paying customer. The manager expressed his regrets and tossed me a couple $10 gift cards. Not sure if we will dine here again - it was that bad.
This place seems to have been here a while, not in a bad way. You get that neighborhood bar kind of feel from here. Trendy crowd and regulars can be found here. Servers and bar tenders were nice and quick to help or answer questions. The food was delicious, well prepared and presented.

2022-01-21Stopped in the Corner Tavern for dinner prior to attending a show at the Variety Playhouse. Weve always liked the huge menu here which gives everyone plenty to choose from. My wife ordered the Chop Chop salad. At $11.50 for a small salad, it was disappointing in that there was very little bacon, which were small crumbles, and very little blue cheese crumbles. Also, there didnt appear to be any avocado in there. I ordered the Tavern Club which was good and the french fries were excellent. Weve been here before and enjoyed it, so the issue with the salad may have been a one-off, but our server was very nice and took good care of us.

2022-03-23They have plenty of vegan options but no gluten free options (according to the server)! The brussel sprouts and vegan chicken sandwich was good. They used tofu as the meat. The vegan chicken wings were terrible. They were essentially chicken nuggets and were super salty.

2022-06-21The Blackened Bleu Burger IS A BEAST OF TASTY HEAVEN! I had the BLT. THE BLT is huge... and great! The Peppered Thick cut bacon is extra crispy porky goodness. My mother had the Chop Chop salad. She raved about it for 2 days afterwards. My Aunt had the Bourbon Glazed Salmon with Sweet Potato Hash, Sautéed Spinach, Mushrooms and Onions are insanely AMAZING! I personally recommend the Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich, The Tavern Melt on a Bun, & The Fried Pickles. Dy-no-mite! The atmosphere is like Cheers... Where everybody knows your name! I dont know if theyre always glad you came. The staff & management vibe really well and it shows. Ive seen the same faces for several years now so it says something about consistency. Kudos to the kitchen staff. I will put it out there; Little 5 Corner Tavern can give The Vortex a run for its money when it comes to burgers. Try for yourself and compare.

2022-05-29I rarely write bad reviews but bruh. My wife and I ordered food here and everything was soggy. They gave us soggy food to go and our waiter complained about the amount we tipped. The food matched the look of the spot. NASTY.

2022-01-16Our server was cute and on top of things. She knew what she was doing. The fried artichokes are so good. It is a bit expensive but worth it. They have a full bar too. Their menu has choices for all types of diets including vegan. We have been there about 5 times now. Good place for a date. Wear a mask when you walk in the door. I enjoyed it every time we go.

2022-03-20Great spot if you are looking for a solid bite to eat in little five. Seriously they have so many options and there food is very good. Service is very good as well. They have vegan options as well and pitchers of bottomless mimosas for $28 I think and then each pitcher if you don’t want to do bottomless is $16 and worth it splitting it with friends plus the patio is a vibe! Highly recommend this place!

2022-01-24The food was delicious, but our waiter was rude. Forgot about our drinks, had to remind him to bring us our drinks. When drinks were brought out 1 drink was wrong (which was fine). Waited awhile for our food, other guests with a larger party sat awhile after us and received their drinks and food before us. We had to yet again ask about our food. We were a party of 4 and ordered only 3 meals. My friend wanted her egg fried and grits but when the order was brought out it was wrong…no big deal. We let our waiter know he had given her the wrong meal and my other friend asked for extra ketchup. He stared at my friend like she was asking for too much by saying she wanted extra ketchup and when he walked away to bring my other friend the parts of the meal that weren’t right he said something about how we keep changing our order….which isn’t true. Then he proceeded to walk to the bar and talk about us to his coworkers and have all of them staring at us. Like I said the food was good but the service was not.Update: Who I’m assuming is the manager came and spoke to us before food was delivered, because like him and a few others they noticed everyone had their food except us. We talked with manager about places to go afterwards for my friends birthday. We were very kind the whole time, so whether the waiter was flustered or not and kept making errors (which we were okay with, as long as they were fixed in a respectful manner) our servers reactions came across as rude. We were never spoken to about the issue.
