I have been a member of this gym since opening. It is always clean, well run and never crowded. The owner, Jason, is always attentive professional and friendly. The gym is well equipped with all the best equipment and machines. All the members are great about mask wearing and cleaning equipment after themselves. I feel very safe there during these covid days. Highly recommend!
Jason is a great owner. Non judgemental and friendly atmosphere. Clean environment and modern equipment with benches, squat racks, free weights and everything in between. One of the best gyms Ive been to.
LIV fitness is one of the best gym experiences I’ve ever had. Jason and the staff are terrific! The gym is always in immaculate condition. I really want to thank them for the wonderful job they are doing during the pandemic. They had great protocols in place to keep members safe. They truly care about their members. Fantastic gym, been attending for a couple months. Their COVID precautions have been really well executed and the management have had excellent communication. Ive been to most of the large chain gyms but my experience here has been my favorite of any gym Ive attended.
This gym is fantastic. I tried it out for a week and loved it. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a little too far from home, but I REALLY wish it was closer. It had a surplus of every piece of equipment I could possibly want to use, so I never had to wait. It’s a small to medium sized gym, which is perfect. Loved the mom and pop/friendly vibe, but also felt like I could keep my head down and listen to my music and no one would bother me. The owner is very kind, as is everyone who works there. They keep it super clean and follow Covid protocols. Maybe they will open up one in south ATL one day! I’d be the first to sign up.
I wish I could give this gym more stars!! LIV Fitness is very clean, great machines/equipment and an awesome staff! The staff here are always asking us gym members what new equipment should they order, are there any other services they can provide to make the experience better. Additionally, what I love about LIV is there are no contracts and they have great hours! LIV is the best gym in Atlanta!
Great gym with strict covid guidelines. I cancelled my previous membership with a big box gym because I wasn’t comfortable with the number of people and lack of masks.LIV requires all people to wear masks throughout their entire workout and limits the number of people in the gym at a time. They also regularly wipe down equipment in addition to individuals wiping down after use.Staff have always been friendly and helpful.
I was staying in the area for a couple of months, but wish it was longer because I enjoyed working out at Liv fitness a lot. I am glad I found this place and I didnt end up in a globo mega gym. This gym is very welcoming, never crowded, clean, well equipped and takes all the covid precautions. This was one of my happy places. ❤️
Liv Fitness is (without exaggeration) the best gym I’ve ever been a part of. I’m not a fan of the mega-gym vibe. Liv is small enough to let me work out in my own space, but big enough to give me a community. The crew is awesome, helpful and friendly. The rates are incredible for the value you get. Jason runs his ship high and tight. Since COVID-19 hit the Liv Fitness family keeps the gym safe and sanitized as well. I’d recommend this gym to anyone.

We had recently moved to Atlanta, but were hesitant to get back into a gym. After seeing the steps LIV was taking and the care they have for their members, it was an easy decision to make. They have plenty of equipment and it’s always a great environment. Definitely the best gym around!

I recently moved to Edgewood and started coming to Liv a few months ago. I joined at the beginning of when Atlanta started re-opening and was very hesitant to go to a gym because of COVID but Liv took the proper and necessary precautions to make everyone feel safe. Everyone gets their own disinfectant spray and masks are mandatory. The staff there are super friendly and make you feel like family and get to know you on a first name basis. They’ve got all the free weights, squat racks, equipment, and machines you need to have a great workout. I come 4/5 times a week and am very happy I joined — would highly recommended anyone to get a membership here!
Love this gym. Very clean. Good equipment. Cardio machines as well as strength along with benches and racks. Kettlebells and hand weights.Covid safe. Mask required, temp check, each person gets a bottle of disinfectant to clean as you go.
Just a really great gym! The owners/managers there are incredibly kind and helpful. Jason in particular was completely understanding on an issue I had with billing and made sure to take care of my issue asap. The environment is great for any one. You dont feel intimidated and are able to work out how you want to work out. Pricing is really great and no contract. Highly recommend!
Love this gym. Besides the fact that its never too crowded, has everything from free weights, squat racks and any cardio machine you need, Jason and his team have made sure everything is safe and sanitized during the pandemic.
This is a great neighborhood gym. It is very clean and they take COVID safety very seriously. The gym owner and staff make it a friendly environment. The equipment is also in very great condition.
The gym is probably the cleanest I’ve ever used. The owners and staff are very nice and are constantly cleaning the place all day. It’s on the smaller side but they have all the essentials. I’ve only seen it packed once or twice, which is great IMO.Membership dues are very reasonable and I was even approached by the owner totally unsolicited letting me know he saw an aspect of my membership he could change that would save me a couple of bucks. That’s a standup business owner.My one and only complaint is the mandating of masks while working out. I’m sure others think it’s great and clearly the owners think it’s the right thing to do. However, for me, it’s a step too far. I’ve been working out there for months and it just really sucks to go through a hard workout with a mask on. You DO NOT get used to it, you just accept it. I’d be very happy if they would make masks optional and let those who would like to take the risk do so. Other than that, it’s a fantastic gym that I’d recommend to anyone who doesn’t need or what a giant globo-gym.
I have been a member of Liv Fitness since around February of this year, right before they had to shut down because of the pandemic. Now that they are open again, I am extremely impressed with how seriously they are taking keeping the gym clean and safe for their members. Today, as I was walking into the gym, one of the staff members was POLITELY asking another member to wear their mask correctly. This mans mask was barely covering his nose or mouth, deeming it useless and unsafe. The staff member explained to him very clearly why it was dangerous for everyone at the gym, and kindly offered the man a mask to wear that was appropriate.I cant even begin to explain how thankful I am to be a member of a gym where the staff are taking this seriously. The gym is one of the higher risks places to be, and I appreciate that they go above and beyond to keep the gym clean and their members safe.

An incredible gym with a great community and great staff. Never too crowded, COVID safe, and just an overall great experience been going there for 3 years overall moved once and moved back to the area and rejoined. Wouldn’t recommend any other gym!
Awesome neighborhood gym. They have everything you need and more. The owner/operator is an awesome dude and is always around to help. I love this place and will miss it - we just happened to move. Definitely a 5 start place.
This gym is awesome: one-to-one conversations with the owners if anything is wrong, easy to cancel / pause, decent equipment (they even have a hip thruster), and super clean (everyone also gets their own spray bottle!).During covid-19, I was stressed about my health but figured I could not walk inside a gym for the next two years at least based on how its going right now. This is the first gym I found that has an actual mandatory mask rule that they MAINTAIN. It has unstaffed hours - which also is more convenient - but sometimes people pull their masks down under their noses. Ive never had a problem with this because letting the owner know has always solved the issue. Working out with a mask is also super easy - and even if its a slight inconvenience, at least you arent choosing to hurt people!The capacity is limited right now because of covid, and it makes it even safer. The best part has to be knowing that I can walk into the gym every day not feeling scammed. The money is staying within local Atlanta since this isnt a huge chain, and I get to take care of my health while not contributing to an awful pandemic.
Love coming in to this gym every day. Always spotless, organized, and enough equipment for everyone. They’ve been great for accommodating the experience to work and feel safe with COVID. Highly recommended for anyone in the Edgewood/Eat Atlanta area.

I love this gym!!! Lacey, the lead trainer and owner, is super hands on and keeps her class sizes smaller than your typical group fitness studio. This ensures you get the personal training feel in a group setting. Lacey and her employees are all so encouraging and push me to my limits EVERY TIME. I look forward to working out and enjoy seeing myself change physically and emotionally. A++++ for Liv Fit Studio!!

Ive been coming here for a year and its quickly become my favorite gym Ive been a member of. Never super crowded and lots of space. No real negatives - if I had to mention one thing it was that it always took me two swipes of my key-card to open the door; more than likely this was due to user error though, lol. Im sad to be moving away from the area and I dont think Ill find another gym as great as this one.
I joined Liv fitness after COVID quarantine and they did a great job maintaining a clean, and safe environment where people can continue to workout without fear. I would highly recommend giving this place a try for a great alternative to the chain gyms!
Been a member for 5 years after getting memberships at a few other ATL gyms. Exactly what I need from a gym, with all the free weights & mix of smiths and cardio to craft any type of workout you need. Also navigated the confusion of covid as responsibly as anyone could have, and they were in lead here. The fact is I moved across town and still kept my membership, and it’s a testament to the operation Jason & staff run.
This gym is the best. I have been a member for years. Their approach to covid has been the most competent I have scene. If you live in the area and are not looking for an LA fitness type gym this is the place for you.
This is a great gym for people who want to get in and out and do their own thing. Everyone is friendly and pretty much keeps to themselves. Its female-friendly...there are plenty of women using the weights and the men in the area dont make you feel like youve wandered into their territory by being on the weights side. Theres a lot of machines and its never super crowded.
I LOVE this place! The gym is spacious, and I can always reliably get on the machine that I want to use. The atmosphere is laid back and unpretentious, and the staff is very friendly. They keep the place incredibly clean, which I appreciate. And their personal trainer is really motivating. Lloyd really challenged my assumptions about my own health and fitness. Give LivFitness a try. I am glad that I did.
LIV is one of, if not the best gym Ive been a member of. Super clean. Great range of equipment from free weights to machines to cardio--all working, all the time. Everyone is friendly, and the environment keeps you focused on your workout. Great place for beginners through advanced lifters and fitness enthusiasts.
I am sorta picky when it comes to gyms, having worked at them I can be weird about cleanliness and the overall layout. For such a small space Liv really did a great job with placement of this facility. I also love how clean and re-racked it is. Its only a plus that the people who work their are awesome. Something for everyone. Not the most equipment but you can always find a substitute exercise!

Awesome gym! Loved being a member of this non-chain gym while living in Dekalb county for a year. Place was always clean, hours were great, and never over crowded like your typical LA or Snap Fitness.
Excellent gym. Moving away made me appreciate how great this place really is. Never badly crowded, always clean, fair initiation, low monthly price, friendly staff, open late/early, and the couple who owns the place works hard to make it a good experience. If I dont say anything bad, youll probably think this is a fake review, so Ill say they could use a hanging leg raise/pullup station. And maybe one more squat rack.
Ive been going to this gym for about 9 months now. Im still just as pleased as I was when I started. The staff members are friendly, the gym is clean, and theres equipment and space for many forms of exercise.Yoga:I started taking the yoga classes soon after joining. I was reluctant at first because the yoga space was small, and the sound from people exercising was distracting. The yoga teacher made a great point though: we need to have ways to center ourselves *especially* when we cant escape from the distractions around us. After a month or so I learned greater focus. I am now largely able to tune out the environmental distractions around me. The small space actually lends well to the style of yoga she teaches which involves giving individual feedback on posture and safety. And one of my favorite things about this practice is how the instructor incorporates small passages of wisdom from various sources to reflect on and learn from.--------------------------------------Original review:Beautiful gym with plenty of racks, benches, dumbbells, and kettle bells. Theyve also got some nifty cardio machines that support HIIT and weight machines that monitor your reps and break time. The owner and assistant/yoga teacher were both kind and informative. All the equipment is clean and well maintained.Edit 2018-12-21: I forgot to mention, the membership is month to month, not a year long contract, which is reflective of the general attitude I see which is that they sincerely want their members to be happy with their membership.

I’ve been with Liv Fitness for a number of years and never had an unpleasant experience. The community environment, cleanliness and now upgraded sanitation (Due to Covid-19 ) allow focus on training.
Great gym to workout! Smaller gym with just about everything. Its never crowded and has a variety of different style lifters. The owner is always looking to make it better. I would give then star if I could!
Gina Total Body Challenge is the best!!!! If I dont start the day with her class I dont feel right! I sit at a desk all day and I need postural exercises as well as strength so her class is perfect. She always switches up the class so many times its high intensity as well as strengthening. If you think this class is easy youre not doing it right or should add weight! If you like a challenge youll like her class!
This facility is my favorite in the whole Decatur area. clean, friendly, and understanding. the staffs are amazing with greeting you before and leaving the building.

My car worked out here it lifts some 100 pound weights and yeah its kind of worn out. Overall, this is a great place with great staff and great restrooms.

Small gym, not so busy, they have a private corner meant for stretching. I really like it for these reasons and no contract, close to house and average pricing.

2022-05-20Never had many issues at this gym. Jason does a great job keeping the place clean and the machines in good condition. Better than a lot of gyms I’ve been to in the past AND it’s the only gym I been to that ever cared about stopping the spread of covid. Awesome!

2022-01-17Finally got a chance to review this place! I have travel around quite a bit and out of all the places I’ve been to, Liv Fitness has been one of my absolute favorite. I’m talking about equipment, size, guests, and the employees. I used to attend around 3-5 but one night I went at 8pm and that was life changing. I had the gym all to myself. Just me and the weights and no one around to watch me struggling. At least go late on your hardest day of your program. It was so sad having to cancel my membership due to another move. However, anytime I am back to visit, I would love to visit.I would also like to shout out Jackie, she was an amazing person. From the moment I signed up with her, she was always so respectful and encouraging. Always had a smile and some days when it was hard, she felt the energy and always lended just a smile.Jason is doing a fabulous job at running this place. I hope he keeps the amount of memberships small because a full gym is never exciting. Best of luck Liv ✌🏽

2022-02-17If you live in Kirkwood, Edgewood, East Atlanta or East Lake, and youre seeking an independent gym with friendly, responsive staff and updated, clean equipment, seek no further. This place is where its at. Membership pricing is extreme reasonable, and I am always welcome there with a smile. They take COVID safety precautions there seriously. As a female gym member, I always feel safe going there. Other gym members are respectful and friendly too. All in all a welcome mainstay in our neighborhood. Please check this place out if youre looking for a local gym!

2021-12-07The managers and staff here are extremely friendly and helpful! I love that the gym has 24 hour access and you do not have to fight for parking compared to other Atlanta gyms. Although the gym, does not offer classes, this gym is great for those who want the practical gym staples: bench presses, dead-lifting platform, and squat racks as well as your machines and free weights. Would highly recommend!

2021-02-19One of the best gyms I have been a member of. The owner Jason runs a tight ship: equipment is always clean, organized and in working order. The staff is friendly, and the gym goers themselves are respectful. Everyone seems to come and do their business and leave which I enjoy. Also plenty of free weights, and 4 free weight squat racks makes this an ideal place if you take your gains seriously.Covid safety precautions are always in effect. Capacity is capped, and masks are always worn. Spray bottles are provided to each person upon check in and everyone is good about wiping down equipment after use.
