Overall, my experience wasn’t the best. I waited 30 minutes before I was greeted, after watching 5 servers walk by. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, but that was my fault for waiting that long. I was reseated in another section and the service was equally horrible. Now, let’s talk about the food. My ice tea was more like sugar water on the rocks! The presentation of the crab cakes is not great. Notice the dry lemon on the side. They were served over a bed of fried green tomatoes. Not sure why? But nonetheless, I was planning on having an entree, but I settled for cheesecake, which was dry and tasteless. As far as my server, she was horrible and I was barely into one bite of the dry cake and she was asking me if I was ready to pay. I will never come back. Buckhead or any other location is not the best for you. Improve your service and your food. Period. I gave one star because the manager comped what I ordered. But, I will stick to what I’m used to.. excellent service and good food somewhere else!
Park in the parking garage. Make sure you get it validation before you leave. I wanted to eat at a table instead of the bar. So we were seated near the entrance to the bathroom! There were mirrors by the tables against the wall, so you can see yourself eat, lol. We waited a while and our server never came. We started to leave but decided to see if we would get good service at the bar. Well luckily we did. I ordered my favorite the bourbon maple chicken which came with jalapeño gouda grits and green beans. I tried gator bites for the first time. I also tried their oreo cheese it was delicious! My S.O. ordered the Redfish Louisianne he enjoyed it. When we we went to get our parking ticket validated the guy told us that the parking was free for two hours. He acted like he really didnt want to give us validation, but we still got validation. When the ticket was put in the booth it would have charged us but thankfully we had got the validation ticket.
I wish I could give 3.5 stars TBH. The service was good, we were sat quickly, and everyone was courteous. The manager came by to check the table, which was nice as well. However, our food was average. The Crawfish Combo was spicy but lacked flavor. It was missing something that I cant quite put my finger on. I did like the fried crawfish that circled the entree. They were super tasty. The Sriracha chicken had too much sage because it tasted more Italian than French. I called myself being adventurous and got the Cajun Bloody Maria 🤮. Why did I do that?! So gross. I didnt even finish it. Lol! The Sazerac was strong with good flavor. Their beignets have the best flavor that Ive tasted in Atlanta. I wish they were less dense. However, its hard to come by outside of Louisiana. I may go back and try something else. If youre looking for a recommendation, try something other than the Crawfish Etouffee. Its not worth $28. Enjoy!
My best friend and I were visiting Atlanta for the weekend. We decided that we wanted oysters and dessert. So we googled some places and Louisiana Bistreaux Seafood Kitchen popped up. We went on Saturday, 4.16.2022. We arrived a little before 10pm (they closed at 11pm). The waitress was friendly and kind. We already knew what we wanted to order- oysters, Red Velvet Cheesecake (my best friend), and a Hennessy Margarita (me). The food was amazing. My drink was good as well. I don’t eat cheesecake, but I love Red Velvet Cake so I tried the top part of my friend’s cake and it was delicious! She loved it as well!I would definitely recommend and visit here again the next time I’m in Atlanta.
This was our first time at this particular location. Once we were seated our waitress was the bartender(the one with the red hair). Can you say Bad choice. Her attitude was a mess along with her communication. We ended up getting another waitress I believe her name was Lizzy and she was amazing. The oysters were delicious. Overall everything was great except that horrible bartender/waitress.
Good strong drinks. I expected more from the beans and rice. They were a tad bit bland. The oysters were under grilled and I specifically asked them to make sure they are grilled well. They also had a loud smell. I am just getting into chargrilled oysters so I am not sure if that was normal. It was ok for me. 🤷🏽♀️
What a great treat. A last minute decision for Sunday Brunch. Tom woke up craving crab cakes and LB came up in google search as one of the best crab cake dishes. It is true, Tom loved the dish, plenty of crab meat served with a mustard cream. We both enjoyed the refreshing Bloody Mary, unfortunately the bar ran out of the mix so we were limited to one BM each. Their vegetarian option I suggest is the large Eggplant Ponchartrain dish. The eggplant is deep fried and topped with veggies and sautéed with the Ponchartrain sauce. Really a filling dish. Tom enjoyed the spicy Shrimp Etouffee plate. Large shrimp sautéed in their flavorful etouffee sauce with rice. The outside patio is pet friendly so #bogiedog enjoyed the outing as much as we did. Staff is super attentive. During this visit one of the deep fryers was down so the menu was limited on fried items. Big plus no long Sunday morning brunch lines. We’ll go back. Like this review if helpful.
Ordered Cajun jambalaya & this is what they gave me. Called to speak to a supervisor and was put on hold for 15 minutes before being HUNG up on. I called 20 minutes before they closed so I’m assuming they kept me on hold until closing. Wasted our money. Taste like a pot of grease! Take your money else where
I highly recommend the Louisiana bistreaux! Everything from start to finish was delicious! From deserts, to drink, to appetizers, to the main course. Everything was just lovely. I was greeted exceptionally and handled very well. I am highly satisfied with my dining experience here. I rate them with an all around 10s!!
Ost my Review..I tell you as a Louisiana Native, the gumbo is real gumbo. The fried gater is so tender and the season is PERFECT. We tried a few dishes. And they all are amazing the lb chops are not well done like I asked but very tender. This place is definitely 5 star worthy
Ok so service is standard, drinks are subpar, food a waste of money. I sent the gumbo back because it had a thick layer of oil on it and smelt burnt. Roux was black 🤢. Then I got this plate some kind of blackened fish with rice and corn????. Was very salty and not worth almost $30. All in all don’t waste your time or your money. I’d much rather buy Cajun food from the dollar store than this very poor excuse for Cajun food. Absolutely terrible!!!!!! Unless you are desperate just don’t!
Hands down on of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta. Even though its in Lenox, the prices arent outrageous. Servers (every server) always on point, food: even more on point. Somebody in there is from New Orleans, and you can definitely feel it in the air and taste it in the food. Great place to be a regular or add to your bucket list!
Never disappoints! Bistreaux oysters...although different cooks, different styles at the restaurant, its always good! Hubby got the Cajun jambalaya....all amazing! Great brunch... Lunch! So this is an update from the first visit...this place is consistently great! Of course during the pandemic, we didnt dine anywhere, so the first opportunity we could, we ran here a year later for their Bistreaux oysters (add crab)...superb! Tonight, I made a dinner of the oysters, a few orders, my husband loves the catfish and red beans and rice... We celebrated our anniversary and our server Moses made it special! Think he says he serves at Peidmont and Decatur... Check him out... The staff truly accommodates! Thanks yall! Well see you again! And viewers... Check em out... They accommodate pandemic seating too if you want! 💕Great gem and the Bistreaux Oysters were amazing! The Buckhead location was 3 mos old, and the servers, hostess worked with my hubby and friends to surprise me.... Great food, the owner was sweet, we couldnt stop ordering (crazy bill LOL)! Only thing, one of our friends got sick, unrelated to the restaurant, and had to leave after drinks, before appetizer and dinner, so the auto - gratuity, we felt should have not been applied, especially since we paid for their appetizer and meals (we didnt cancel, but changed to a Togo order). But nonetheless, the experience was great... We will definitely go back!
It was our last night in Atlanta and we were tired, so we wanted to find a place that’s close to our Hotel for dinner. Louisiana Biatreaux Buckhead is perfectly located right next to where we stayed with decent reviews. We love cajun food and we had Bistreaux Oysters, Seafood Gumbo, Shrimp Combo Entree and Beignets, my personal favorite, as dessert. The food was delicious and the price was reasonable but nothing really surprised us.The ambiance was lively, relaxing and cozy, which is good for even just for a drink. Its pretty popular, but the wait wasnt bad at all since its wide-spaced with plenty of tables both indoor & outdoor.
Loved it! Have the oysters with crab on top, they are to die for. Followed with Grouper fish, which was delicious. Cocktails were very well made, I had the martini and then the mango margarita, both excellent. Portions very large, but had to try dessert…the chocolate mousse cheesecake did not disappoint. We were there on a Tuesday night and they had excellent live jazz music. Highly recommend!
Came to Atlanta for the week and we were craving for seafood. We found Louisiana Bistreaux and it did not disappoint. The Oysters with Crabmeat was delicious. Shrimp Etouffee was excellent and flavorful. Shrimp and Grits were good. Drinks, dessert ambiance, service all very good. Will definitely return.
We went to celebrate a friends birthday. Everyone enjoyed their food. The shrimp, sausage and grits was AMAZING! The sauce was to die for. The butter that came with the bread was not good at all, they should serve the sauce with the bread. The daiquiri was amazing! The service was great! The beignets need work!
Was seated promptly; server was attentive and friendly. Their menu is not completely up to date - at least two of the desserts I was contemplating have been discontinued (bourbon pecan pie and 24 karat cake). I ordered a bowl of their gumbo and an order of Cajun Popcorn (fried crawfish tails), and then the praline pecan cheesecake. All of it was tasty, though the praline layer atop the cheesecake was a bit thick. I would not hesitate to recommend Louisiana Bistreaux to anyone looking for a taste of the Big Easy while in the ATL.
If you are a fan of Cajun food then this is the place for you. I’ve tried the gator bites, oysters both on the appetizer menu. Both delicious but only enough to share for about 3-4 people. For the entrees I’ve tried the BBQ Cajun shrimp and the shrimp creole, both spicy and delicious. I came with a big group on a Wednesday night and the service was quick and friendly. I would give it a 4.5 stars but not a 5 just because I thought the prices were a little high for the portion size, but maybe due to inflation. Give it a try.
OMG!!! We went here based off of a review of the Shrimp and Grits and by far these were the Best Shrimp and Grits we ever had. And the Gator bites were really good as well. Our waiter (Rio) was Fantastic. He gave us a very detailed description of our food to come. Great Service!!! Then the Manager (Blake) was great as well. Our time here from the valet parking to the bartender, waiter and manager gave us great service. This will not be our last time here. Valet parking is $5 and its worth it to dine here.Thank you Louisiana Bistreaux
The food was good and the ambiance was perfect. The staff is knowledgeable and above polite. I got the fried catfish and it was ok. The flavor was exactly what I paid for if you get my drift, my date and everyone else had delicious food lol I think I just ordered the wrong thing. But all and all 10/10 Ill come back againPictures: gator bites, fried fish, crab cakes,
I ordered the shrimp and grits and bread pudding. The shrimp and grits were delicious. I was worried about the jalapeños in it, but our waiter made me aware that it wasn’t big pieces, that it was cooked within the grits. The bread pudding was a little too raw tasting for me. I took it home and air fried it for about 8 mins. It was perfect. Great experience overall. I would love to revisit.
So, despite the construction going on directly across from them, there is free valet parking. I went for a birthday dinner and the service was fast and friendly. The food came out fast and HOT!!! It was absolutely delicious with and had good spice to it. We had the Cajun Combo and the Grouper Orleans. I will be back for more.
Their desserts : amazing! Loved the Pecan Cheesecake and Bourbon Chocolate Cake and Oreo Cheesecake. Also loved their Peach Sangria. The BF loved their steak so much we went twice in 3 days. Their dirty rice was good as well as the jambalaya and shrimp and grits. Can’t wait to come back to ATL to gain another 5 pounds just from eating here!
Great place to celebrate my birthday! Service was exceptional. Server was very attentive. The ambience also exceptional. The food was delicious!! Shrimp and Grits a bit spicy for my husbands taste, perfect for me. Also had the fried Shrimp and they were fried to perfection. The only negative was the oysters on the half shell, the oysters were so tiny you could hardly taste them but the sauce they were in was amazing. I will definitely visit again.
Food was scrumptious, live band playing on a Friday night. The ambiance was great. Server seemed to be in a hurry, and the manager charged tip on a Togo order. Otherwise a good place to dine it had a romantic vibe. Location is great too. Complimentary valet also a plus.
Its all about the food people! This restaurant knows Louisiana cooking and delivers it to you hot, tasty and plated attractively. On a one week business trip I ate there by myself the first time and the next time I brought a colleague. The crawfish combo was fantastic and the shrimp and grits was superb! Both times I used bread to sop up the bottom of the bowl! Mmm, mmm, good!
Kayla was an amazing waitress, that helped and explained everything with clarity and a welcoming smile. The manager, just like Kayla, did an excellent job moving through the restaurant interacting with the guests, as great hosts should. The restaurant is clean, well organized, and welcoming. The price for food and drinks is worth it. I wish to stop by again in my travels.
The gator bites weren’t good. I ordered the lamb chops meal, and the only thing that tasted decent on the plate were the lamb chops. The grits were cold, and when I brought it to their attention, they brought me out a smaller portion of their dirty rice, that was cold also. Instead of taking the meal off, for a large party that I paid for, it was slightly discounted. That’s definitely not the excellence that I expected when I walked in. My server was very nice though.
Good food, strongly encourage you NOT to go an hour or less before closing. There will be a wait to be seated and the kitchen will close and not be willing/able to adjust something if needed, especially if you order fried foods. Be mindful this a Louisiana style place so most of the food will be spicy, but a cool dining experience.
The food was excellent and the service was even better. We sat at the bar, and Tisha (not sure the spelling is right) was personable, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Great experience - excellent recommendations for entrees and drinks to accompany. Will definitely be going back!
If I could give 0 stars it would be more appropriate. Our family had heard the food was excellent and came ready for a great dining experience. What we did not anticipate was the failure of a server to take our order after passing our table 5 times. So we’re leaving the mostly empty dining room with our hungry three year old in hopes of finding a restaurant that is more respectful to their guests. Very disappointed in how our family was treated. Would not recommend the Piedmont location unless you enjoy being ignored with a hungry toddler.
First and foremost our reservation was for 7:30. We did not get seated until 9pm and then we didn’t even get our drinks until about 10:15 and then they messed up on our appetizers. The waiter got an attitude with us because we were over it: the manager stated that we all would be compensated and yet it still was not. They took about 45 minutes just to get our tabs. I will never come back here again.
My second visit! Last time I had the shrimp poboy and the praline cheesecake oh my Lord! DELICIOUS!! Today I got the jambalaya and added catfish on the side(just to taste) the jambalaya was a little late but came out smelling great and very delicious! My catfish was fresh, flavorful and good. Only thing I was a little irritated about was the bottom piece was soaked in grease so I really only ate one piece but things happen. Some places you can’t even pick up a fresh to-go order so I’m thankful I’ve found this place! Oh and the environment seems so chill I’ll definitely have to bring some friends and dine in!
Food really good nice servings. I’ve been there a few times. Since I arrived about 40 minutes prior to closing I experienced a bit longer ticket times. My other experience that fell short was the lack of service my server provided, in fact the other bartender had to fulfill me needs. The tip reflected my shortcomings received by server so I’m not going to let restaurant suffer from one person.
Yes! We ate here at the Buckhead location tonight and we were really pleased by the level of courteous service ( except for the young man who answered the phone when we called to ask about the “wait time” - his answer was “ If there was one I WOULD HAVE TOLD YOU!!!!) , Certainly THAT attitude could have been enough to DETER FIRST TIME CUSTOMERS. So after ignoring that everything else was pleasant and both our meals were delicious! The fish was fresh, seasoned well and char-grilled to perfection! The grilled oysters were very small but the flavor was fantastic! I wouldn’t recommend the Grand Marnier Chocolate Cake because it was very dry and had little to no Grand Marnier taste in it at all. The wait staff seemed to very pleasant and professional, the Jazz playing in the background added a nice touch, the bathroom ( ladies) was very clean and again the food was delicious. Hats off to management and the Louisiana Bistreaux team ! Good Job !
My husband and I decided to visit the buckhead location. And although the restaurant was nice I got sick from my meal. I know it was my dish because I brought the leftovers home and my husband ate it and got sick. I am going to go to a different location and get the same dish and see if it’s any different. I don’t want to give up on the restaurant just yet. It might have been an off day. I must admit the staff was friendly and prompt. Also we were seated immediately. We had a reservation at 230. We arrived at 200 and was seat right then. No wait. The rating I gave was because I got sick and not on the restaurant as a whole. Hopefully I can give a better rating next time
The food is excellent as is the service. We had Gator Bites with Cajun dipping sauce which were tender and flavorful. Our server, Sya, had great attention to detail and passed expectations. Nicki, the General Manager, from Louisiana, answered all our questions and made recommendations. Could not have asked for a better experience.
Ever since I first tried this place Im always craving their to literally die for gator bites. Crunchy , flavorful & paired with this spicy yet sweet sauce they have makes this is fan fave appetizer. I tried their Blackened Redfish this time which was absolutely delicious with no complaints whatsoever. Gave both their red & peach sangria a try which were also pretty good.
Recently visited this location while in town during lunch. My husband ordered the gator bites, and I ordered the crab cake. The gator bites were good, and the sauce was delicious. However, my crab cake had several SHELL pieces mixed in. The flavor and sauce of the crab was delicious, and I thought the fries green tomato on the bottom was a pleasant surprise. I just couldnt take a bite without spitting out shells! For entree, my husband had the shrimp & grits, and I had the red fish panchatrain. Again I ran into the issue of some bones in my fish and just a couple shells in my crab topping. The flavors were delicious, and the corn was a lovely sweet touch. For dessert I had the red velvet cheesecake. It is basically a slice of red velvet cake onto of a slice of cheesecake. The service was wonderful!
We celebrated my grand daughter’s 21st birthday at Louisiana Bistreaux, We’re from New Orleans and expected authentic New Orleans cuisine. Food prices are not bad but some of the food was soooo spicy hot that it was not edible, spicey hot but no authentic New Orleans flavor. Our table with 19 people decided to order drinks, no prices on the drink menu, but the small, little alcohol, drinks were $25 each. There was even a charge of $3 for small cups of ice. We brought with us a “21 cake” made of cupcakes and was charged an additional fee of $25 for the cakes being placed at the table. My grand daughter made the arrangements to reserve for 20-24 people, was charged a $50 reservation fee for which she was told would go towards the bill. When everyone received their bill (which included gratuity) she was told the $50 dollars would not be refunded because there was only 19 people who showed. This was not communicated when she reserved and the manager could not produce a policy to verify what he said, so he did put the $50 toward the bill. I must say the gator bites And the fried catfish were delicious, and the waitress was pretty good. The restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was nice. I Don’t think I’ll be visiting or encouraging anyone else to Eat at this place.
Go to the nearest dictionary and look up the word AWFUL, that’s exactly how the food tastes. I mean terrible, the chef never heard of seasoning. Don’t waste your money—-Manager doesn’t even know how to take advice or offer an apology for the nasty food! I don’t go to restaurants to eat for free or to get comps, I go to eat GOOD! This place is a waste of calories! TF terrible.
Honestly the food looks better then it taste. The oysters and the drinks were the best part and the only reason I give 3 stars. The gumbo roux had zero flavor, while the jambalaya had way too much flavor like they drowned it in Cajun seasoning, very overbearing taste. Visiting from Texas and was very disappointed.
Traveling from Philadelphia my daughter suggested this spot the ambiance was awesome food magnificent fresh food the chef amazing. The taste of New Orleans in Atlanta a brilliant choice for this restaurant I’ve eaten here 3 times the staff professional attentive & the manager very nice. Also loved the Beignets ❤️When I come back to Atlanta this will definitely be my go to restaurant for great fresh food. ❤️
The waitress we had was great! Nice and friendly! We were sat promptly after walking in and greeted with smiles. However, the food is so bad! I am from New Orleans and have never tasted “bad” New Orleans style food from everywhere I travel to. We had gator bites as a appetizer and shrimp po boys for the entree. Both were fried and the meat was hard to tell apart because the fried batter dominated the shrimp and gator meat. The sauces for both were not good at all. I’ve never tasted sauces like that with meals I have from home. For dessert we got beignets and of course they were the frozen kind.. I suggest this restaurant gets a new chef, this place is not at all what Louisiana food is like. Horrible representation.
I really enjoyed this restaurant. When first walking into the restaurant we were greeted by our server Jeremy Johnson who was GREATTTT!! He was nice, courteous and his knowledge of the menu was on point. Jeremy recommended the Lamb Chops and they were excellent!! Check the restaurant out and ask for Jeremy he gave exceptional service.
I wouldnt recommend this place. We came on a Sunday for brunch when things werent very busy. The table ordered various fish dishes and grilled oysters. The oysters came hot but lacked flavor. I didnt even finish them all. The fish had good flavor but came cold. There were 4 of us dining and we all agreed that this place served its purpose for that day but we wouldnt go back ever again.
Overall good. The waiter was good & professional. The vibe & ambiance was on point. There wasn’t a wait and parking was free in the lot adjacent of the restaurant. This was my first time at this location I have visited the east point location several times. This location did not disappoint definitely a step up from the east point location. The food was pretty okay well seasoned but not like wow I wish they offered more menu options and a 2 piece fried catfish dinner? Like we grown lol.
Food was uniquely wonderful and the service was great. This is not just a cookie cutter restaurant. We love Cajun and our bar is set pretty high.Gumbo was some of the best we have had in recent memory. Their specialty is the crawtator crusted grouper with jalapeno grits. I can still almost taste it but cant put words to it other than you just want one more bite! We finished with beignets and coffee. Felt like we were back in school in New Orleans. Oh, and our server was very attentive and personable without being intrusive. It was definitely a 5 star experience.Buckhead is not my favorite part of Atlanta but cant wait to be there again for a return trip to the Bistreaux!
First of all big shout out to Rio aka Mario!!!😘 he is major dope and a sweet positive soul… he made sure we were happy and was very attentive. Anyway the food is so bomb it’s a breath of New Orleans air (in the best way) lol and if he recommends it get it cause my guy knows good food.
In the A for the weekend from Arkansas. Wanted to find a good seafood restaurant for dinner and ran across this one. The food, drinks and service was on point. Shout out to Josh for being a great waiter also. Thanks for the manager (I think.) for checking in on us too.
Had a graduation dinner and the service was lets say average. The bartender had such a horrible attitude he would not even take a drink order and there was another young lady there with such a horrible attitude as well. The food was ok, salmon was very fishy tasting and the crab cakes taste as if they were spoiled. I much rather dine at the one in Decatur, even though its smaller bit the attitudes are a lot better in Decatur. I dont think we will be returning to this place and that bartender really need to check his nasty attitude.
Hubby and I visited the Buckhead location wanting to check out the ambience in comparison to the Decatur location. While this location clearly wins I was very disappointed to learn they didn’t have the seafood pasta which Decatur offers. This is the main reason for me wanting to go back. I was told by our waitress that it’s a special and not all locations have it. I highly recommend adding that dish to all locations.
Ventured out to this restaurant with the Mrs for an early birthday lunch. Wasnt packed inside so we were seated rather quickly. Waitress was prompt to coming to our table and taking our drink orders. Menu was simple and to the point. Drinks came pretty quick and were made just right. Appetizer came shortly after and was delicious. We ordered the Cajun popcorn which was fried crawfish tails. Wife had a cup of gumbo and that was pretty good as well. Our entrees arrived and they were impressive. Wife orders the jambalaya and it looked, and was, very good. I ordered the shrimp Po boy. I couldnt even close the bread due to the amount of shrimp they loaded onto it. Shrimp were fried perfectly. Light batter and not too heavy and greasy. Waitress checked in periodically. Just the right amount of time. Not too long and not too often.Overall, this restaurant was a hit with us. Great food. Great service. What more can anyone ask for. Well, Ill tell you. May have been on our part, but there were no prices on the drink menu. We both had 2 of the same drinks and it totaled $50. And that was for a spicy margarita and their version of a Moscow mule. I just felt that was a little pricey. If the prices were listed, I honestly would have just ordered 1. Drinks ended up costing more than the food. So for that reason, I give this spot 4 stars instead of 5. Beyond that, Ill definitely pay this place another visit.
Worse dinner ever. I reserved a table for 8 for 6pm Saturday March 5th. We arrived at 6 and was told there was a 30 minute wait regardless of our reservation. The appetizers were ok but the dinner plate was horrible. The catfish was burnt and tasted of old burnt grease. I returned the plate for another one hoping that order would be good but it wasn’t. They cooked the second order in the same burnt grease. The fish was burnt brown. I will never return or recommend.
When we got to the restaurant there was a 40 minute wait, which actually turned out to be 20. We sat for 30 minutes while 3 other servers assisted other tables as well as cleaned up for the night around us, no one acknowledged us. When we mentioned it to the hostess, she came and took our order which was a great help. We asked a server who was in the area serving who has the table we were sitting at he said i do not know and continued with what he was doing. We asked for the manager and he showed up promptly. When we spoke with Matt who was the closing manager, he was able to keep us from leaving upset and without our food. Matt recovered this situation to a great magnitude that I will actually come back because of how he made the situation better. The food was good considering the last minute order being put in. The only hiccup that we had was that the rib eye that was ordered was cooked unevenly, on one side it was cooked medium rare and the other side it was medium. Other than that GREAT RECOVER MATT!!!!
Visited from out of town, the food was really good. The place was packed for good reason. I got the jumbo shrimp with wild rice and corn. The corn omg i need to learn how to make it. I sampled the grits and crawfish which is good. My family had lamb chops, bbq chicken which they liked. (I dont eat meat but based on their food being gone in less than 5 minutes thats a sign) especially from picky eaters. The staff is so friendly which is a double plus.
Our reservation was a 9pm but we didnt get to sit down at our table until almost 10pm. the inside temperature was way too hot for summer and thats saying something when outside was cooler then inside the building during summer. It took forever to get out food and drinks, they knocked some of our drinks over na had to remake them so it took longer.I would not recommend this place to my friends Im sorry.
Really enjoyed this place. Wasnt too crowded at the time, restaurant was clean and spacious, and our server was very pleasant. We had the gator bites and the bistreaux oysters as an appetizer. Bites were good however I would have preferred a different sauce than the one that was served with them, as it tasted mustard based and Im just not a huge fan of mustard. The oysters were just avg, could be spruced up. For our entree my husband had the fried catfish which he loved but wished there was more of lol (there was only 1 piece)! I had the shrimp, andouille and grits and it was absolutely one of the best flavors Ive had since moving to Atlanta. As this is one of my favorite dishes, Ive had it in numerous restaurants across the city and this place has one of the top 2 in my opinion as far as flavor. The sauce had just the right amount of spicy kick to it. Yumm! I will definitely go back. Looking forward to trying the Redfish Ponchartrain.
Honestly I think I found a new go to spot! They’ve got the best Lambchop really juicy with the shrimp. The redfish was also lovely. The rice with corn was super delicious. Desert was A1. I had the chance to meet the chef he was really friendly! Most def 5 STAR Thanks Chef Cam
Had a great experience. Food was amazing and out in a very timely manner. Had Rico as a server. He was very kind, attentive, and funny. Great place for a lunch date with one of my girl friends! Would definitely recommend the oysters, they are to die for. Also had the crawfish etoufee which was amazing. Had a hiccup with processing payment at the end but overall a great experience.
This place could have EASILY been a 5 if it was not for our service. Off the rip she was not friendly and very stand-off ish but we still tried to talk to her and get her to be a lil nicer but no. She pretty much got more rude as the night went on. The whole table was full of servers so we know hospitality.Other that that… this place was off the chain!!!!! The food was delicious! I got the Cajun Popcorn (fried crawfish tails) which almost had be full. Then I ordered the Bourbon Maple Chicken (comes with grits and green beans that you can’t even sub out for a different vegetable) but I am glad they cooked them how I requested bc I HATE green beans but this was sooooooooooooooooooooo good!!!!!! Took the rest home and finished later in the night. They even had a live band on the outside which just made the experience even better. But like I said between the server and the no substitutions is why I rated so low.
I just left this restaurant completely disappointed. A server gave my nephews order to another table. Then they realized the order was ours, but they took it back to the kitchen to make it look like they replaced it. I ordered the Bourbon Maple Chicken. The meal came with green beans and gouda jalapeño grits. My food sat for awhile because it ws not as hot as dishes should be. The chicken was dry. I didnt get my green beans, they gave me spinach. My sister ordered the catfish and it lacked flavor. The dirty rice was dry as ever and flavorless. I would not recommend this restaurant.
I order from this location all the time and would normally have good quality food with no problems. However on 05/16/2022 @ 9p.m. my pork chops were not done, so I call to let them know about it. After being told to hold on several times for 15 minutes each time I finally got a hold of the manager. He advised me to put the blame on the delivery service for my undercooked pork chops. I asked him if he was sure he wanted me to do this for their restraunts mistake, and he said yes. I was stunned he would tell me this for his mistake. The guy obviously needs manager training or either he just didnt care about hid job. Now Im one less customer that will never order from this locations again which is about twice a week big orders!
The food was AMAZING! As an appetizer, I had the oysters. They were sooo good and well seasoned. For my entree, I had the grilled lamb, gouda grits and spinach. The lamb was well cooked and seasoned, and the gouda grits were tasty and melted in my mouth. We had the best server, Mario, who was attentive and sweet. I even got a sweet treat for my birthday. Don’t hesitate to visit this establishment. Five star food and customer service! Thank you Mario for my bday song! Your voice is EVERYTHING! I will be back soon.
On a Saturday night in ATL we experienced almost no wait time and attentive, above par service. Our server’s name was Isis, and like the goddess she’s named after, she had patience, grace and poise. We loved her. She was super engaging with us when ordering or when we had questions, and was polite and quick when we were a few drinks in and talking amongst ourselves. She read the room with aplomb as our moods shifted throughout the night and we couldn’t have loved her more. One of the ladies from the bar (the manager told use her name was Keiona, though I’m not sure if that spelling is correct) brought us our drinks a few times when our server was engaged with other tables and she was every bit as congenial and witty. A few other members of the staff pitched in and visited our table, and unfortunately we didn’t get their names, but every one of them had a server hospitality that was above and beyond. Truly all of the team members here are amazing. As far as the food goes, all I can say as someone who grew up in Louisiana, is that the food here is some of the most authentic Cajun cooking I’ve experienced outside of LA in a while. We had the Cajun Popcorn (probably the only part of our meal that gave us any “disappointment” as the crawfish tails were slightly over fried, but the batter/seasoning were on point), the Gator Bites, the Red Fish Lousianne, and the Seafood Jambalaya. For dessert we sampled the Pecan Praline Cheesecake, Grand Marnier Chocolate Cake and the Bourbon Bread Pudding. The roux and subsequent etouffe of our Red Fish entree was perfect, the Jambalaya tasted straight from my Aunt Beba’s kitchen and the cheesecake and chocolate cake were to die for. For some of y’all, the bread pudding could probably use “more bourbon” but I found the light sauce as well as the texture and complexity of the bread pudding itself to be on par with anything I’ve ever had in New Orleans or my family’s get togethers. All in all, we spent almost 4 hours here tonight (not that we recommend doing so unless you can pay your server for their time) and had several courses (more than several drinks) and a hands down amazing dining experience. We loved it. We’ll certainly be back and recommend the same for anyone looking to try it.
Growing up in Louisiana, you get to enjoy the best of the south! This restaurant is by far the best food I have experienced since being in Atlanta! The Jambalaya was the BEST! Brought back so many memories of home. The Grouper was exquisite and the seafood platter had MORE than enough for everyone! Added this place to my favorites!!
If I could give this place 0 stars I would… we were seated immediately, which was great!! No one came to our table to take our drink order after 25min… We had to ask for menus and silverware, eventually we just got up and left. Terrible customer service… I WOULD NOT recommend going to this place!!
OMG the food was exquisite, mouth watering, just spicy enough, and succulent. My god-daughter is very picky but she entirely loved her jambalaya and the crawfish popcorn bites. I had the signature dish, Crawgator Grouper and I hurt myself eating it all. Our waitress, Serenity, was so attentive. I will definitely return.
I really enjoyed having dinner here this evening. Our waiter Jaylen was great. I had the Grouper Orleans and it was very good. My husband had the Angus Ribeye Orleans. It looked good but he said for the price the cut of meat wasnt a good grade. Example: paying Whole Food prices for a Food Depot cut of meat. We also had the cajun popcorn (fried crawfish tails) and split whole fried okra. Both were excellent!
This was my first dining experience in atlanta in 10 years. The service was excellent the food was amazing and the customer service was superb The staff at every level were accomodating I was so pleased i tipped my server 20percent I average between 12 and 16 percent tips. It is on my list from now on for further trips to atlanta great for evening service or early dinner I am a stickler and they exceeded my expectations on everylevel great experience.the one on peidmont in buckhead
We dined yesterday and needless to say, RUN! The food was disgusting, our server wasn’t keeping us updated on why it took 55 minutes to get our food, and guess what MY FOOD NEVER ARRIVED. They forgot to submit my order, the waiter later explained, when the desserts were coming out to the table. I ended up at Ruth Chris, I couldn’t take another moment in that place. Total dine time 2 hours, total waste of time.
I’ve been to the East Point location before, however this is my new favorite! The shrimp and grits and maple bourbon chicken are excellent. The shrimp and grits has a nice kick and the chicken is sweet and salty. Fresh. Our server was attentive and the place is spotless. Will return.
My family and I were looking for a place to eat dinner, but the original chosen restaurant had a two hour wait, which was unacceptable for my 5 year old. Lol. However, I decided to try this restaurant attached to the hotel where I was staying. There was no wait, the atmosphere was great and they had a kids menu. Let me tell you...from the margaritas to the crab cake appetizers to the fried salmon with jalapeño grits special entree, and lets not forget the delectable oreo cheesecake...the food was amazing! Also, we didnt have to wait long for our food. And not only the food, but my waiter, Mr. Andre was very friendly, attentive, and even held a funny conversation with my son. I will definitely return to eat here the next time Im in ATL.
The spot is in a good location. Waitress was very personable. I didnt really enjoy my shrimp. It was visually appealing tho. The coleslaw was drenched jn lemon/lime juice. Like, literally thats all I tasted and it was sitting in the liquid. Too overwhelming. My potatoes were not all evenly cooked. Some were good others were hard and couldve been cooked longer. The seasoning didn’t really have a taste. I had to salt. My shrimp batter fell off of all my shrimp, pet peeve of mine, I hate that. They were bland. Its kinda like my husband said...It’s not horrible but Im not in any rush to come back, to at least try those again. The seafood gumbo was good. I love spicy food but it was definitely more on the spicer side, ya know, nose running spicy. It could be the cook at the time who knows. Hate wasting money, just felt like we didnt get the full potential.
I made a reservation for my B-Day get there with my guest to be told they didn’t see my reservation. So we waited to try to get seated. Eventually a server Amanda herd my issues and came to save the day! Lol She went above and beyond seated my party started the orders and made sure everyone was happy. The food was good and her service was stellar she made the evening perfect.
The parking is under construction so be prepared to use parking deck or valet(we didn’t have to pay)Slightly inconvenient not to mention having to use steps to walk after parking due to the elevator not workingThe waitress seemed too busy to notice the beer she brought wasn’t open and she left the dirty rag on the tableThe food was good but the other things take away from a good experience.
I was really excited to eat here. Had it through uber eats, was pretty good. Didnt have a good in person experience. Sat at bar to eat. The bar tender never acknowledged me. A young lady finally came and took my order. I ordered Ceasar salad, sent back because lettuce was wilted. Bartender said it should be the bag was just opened 🤯. My entree was fried grouper with grits. Was tasty but grits were cold. I would give this spot another chance. Hope service is better because he never checked back on me and I had to ask for more water.
Very tasty! We actually ordered delivery and from the moment the food arrived I knew it was gonna be amazing. I love the portions size for this place! I had the Crawtator Grouper. I loved that my fish still had a crispy texture but with more than enough yummy sauce. My bf had the ribeye Orleans and it looked delicious. Sorry no picture lol
I’m from Texas/Louisiana, I ordered the gumbo, wedge salad, catfish and grits, and beignets - I thought things tasted fine... probably the most authentic I’ve had since relocating to ATL. I called in a to go order -No seafood in my seafood gumbo... I find things like this to be especially unacceptable because it’s so simple. Also would have preferred my rice on the side. Didn’t get great service while picking up either.
Recently transferred to the Buckhead area for work. Big fan of Louisiana style food in general so I always look for a spot to try out. This location happens to be about 2 minutes from my job so it was only right I try them out. Ordered the Cajun Jambalaya and was NOT disappointed! Nice portion size, big shrimp and hefty chunks of chicken. Will definitely be back!
The valet and their set up is absolutely ridiculous. Their umbrella was set where it nearly knicked the roof of my vehicle and the one behind me. I asked that they move it and they told me to kick rocks. There are many others who frequent the travel lanes here and this issue needs to be addressed immediately.
Came here with several friends and ordered for a family style dining experience. We had the gator bites, crawfish etouffee, Cajun jambalaya, siracha chicken, and the bourbon Maple chicken. And everything was delicious!!! Only thing is that the Jambalaya was very very spicy, so if you dont like hot ask for mild. I actually dont know if its possible because it didnt say if it was spicy so we didnt ask. But beware. The drinks are OK, I feel they were too sugary but they have a full bar so order your usual. The deserts were so good and affordable that Ive actually gonna back just got a slice of one of their cakes.
Stopped here for dinner while traveling home from vacation. When I arrived with my family, there were large parties already waiting in the lobby to be seated. There were 3 hostesses present, but no one ever acknowledged me. When the lobby cleared, a party of 6 walked in right in front of me and they were seated immediately. I was literally invisible. I am typically a patient person but at that point I was ready to leave. I told my family if we were not seated within 2 minutes we would be leaving. Luckily, we were seated next. Our server, Carl, quickly turned our experience around. He was kind, efficient, and attentive. We ordered crab cakes, jambalaya, crawfish etouffee, chicken tenders, and beignets. Everything was really good and Carl was great!
Would def recommend! The staff was friendly and personable upon entering and greeted you very nicely. The food was GREAT and ion even like seafood! It’s a little pricey but the quality of the food and serving amount they give you are very much worth it! I’m definitely going back.
I’m really observant when trying new places, I loved everything about this restaurant. The food was delicious; that’s in comparison to my recent New Orleans visit! It even came hot and fresh and in a timely manner. In addition, they gave us a pleasing amount of food. Jessica was my server and she was so pleasant and did her job very well. The hostess greeted us with an inviting welcome, the wait was not long and the atmosphere is nice. We even noticed how the employees were helpful and respectful to one another. More businesses needs to strive to be like this one and it’s employees.
I highly recommend Louisiana Bistreaux Seafood. My food was absolutely delicious. The crab cakes were awesome the Cajun popcorn was really good. The blacken Angus steak was everything. I also had the pleasure of having a awesome server by the name of Josh. He was pure perfection very professional very attentive. I would definitely dine here again.
I felt that the staff was really good and accomodating and the food was good but not great for what we were paying. The ambience that they tried to create missed the mark for me and my guest. I felt that it should have been a little bit more umph to it. I actually went to this restaurant for my birthday and they did not have a birthday thing where they bring out a free dessert or sing Happy Birthday. So it kind of felt a little off to us to pay a significant amount and didnt really meet our expectations or our needs for that particular event. But I do want to stress that maybe if we had researched ahead of time we would have known this so I do not blame them for that. The customer service was great and the food was still great. I just anyone interested in trying this place to know that this is more of a casual lunch or dinner spot and NOT a special occasion spot. I hope that helps.
We visited last night based on recommendation from Hampton Inn and Suites right next door. The food was outstanding! Our service was exceptional , thanks to our server, Megan. Highly recommend this restaurant if you’re in the Buckhead area. I’ll definitely come back! The Pecan Praline Cheesecake is shareable and like eating a giant praline on top of a cheesecake!
High price food with no real authentic Louisian taste. I never been to a restaurant where I been charged for ice in my drink. I fully understand business but I was wondering if I would be charged for how many breaths I took while dining. This is My first and last visit to this joint. If a business owner can’t afford Resteraunt space in Buck head then don’t do it or you will become desperate and charge it to your clients. My response to the owner: There is no misunderstanding here. No one explained anything to me about the charge for ice. On you receipt it shows $3.00 for rocks not extra alcohol. Secondly I did not order my drink on the rocks I ordered it mixed with coke. The waitress made that mistake and brought it on the rocks but now I know why because it cost more. When I reminded her that I didn’t order it on the rocks she brought me a coke to mix it myself. I did speak to the manager but it was in regards to the $25 up charge for bringing in a cake and a deposit to reserve a table. It was not my party I was just a guest but I thought it was pretty hard up to up charge the birthday person an extra $25 to bring in a cake and a deposit to reserve a table. As I said in my original post, charging your customers for every little thing is a sign of a business struggling to stay alive.
We were staying at a very local hotel and wanted someplace close for dinner so we tried Louisiana Bistreaux. The food was excellent, we had the shrimp and grits, which I hadnt had since my last visit to New Orleans and it was wonderful. The chocolate Grand Marnier cake was decadent and delicious. The service was attentive and friendly. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Im giving this a 1 star, because the food was spicy, but no seasoning whatsoever. I never have a problem with paying for good food, but please SEASON IT! It wasnt busy when our party came, but it took forever for our food to come. Then to top things off the bill already had gratuity added, the waiter had the nerve to ask can he keep my change that was left.🙄🙄
So. Good. The fried okra was perfect. Not over-battered, delightful little crisps, delicious sauce. Gulf oysters were surprisingly fresh tasting on a Tuesday night. Shrimp and sausage grits was to die for. That creamy sauce! Beignets were tasty, but the real treat was the appetizers and main course. Fast kitchen, too.
Thank goodness the Buckhead location brings the same deliciousness the East Point location established. Had a late lunch Friday so the place wasnt crowded. There is ample seating (Bar/Lounge, Patio and Dining area). Service was prompt and courteous. Parking may be limited but there is a parking deck adjacent to the building for overflow.
Its not the worst jambalaya and it wasnt the best. I would have enjoyed the rice to be less wet and shrimp cook a little longer. Megan the waitress get 5 stars.I definitely wont have the Jambalaya again but would try other things from the menu. Glad to have this type of restaurant in the community. Thank you
Nice, clean restaurant. The etoufee was great but could’ve used more rice. Though the waitress warned us about the level of spice, my sister ordered the jambalaya and it was unreasonably spicy. We’ve eaten at a number of Louisiana restaurants and the spice here was a bit too much; she couldn’t enjoy the meal. We also waited 15 mins to get a Caesar salad and bread pudding. Wow.
My daughter and I celebrated and had a wonderful meal here. The food was superb! The gator bites and lamb chops were top notch, the drinks were potent and delicious. Our server Wvfnola was quick and efficient. Cant wait to come again and try other dishes I was eyeing! 👀
The food is well seasoned and our server was fantastic. Helped us figure out what dishes we could modify to fit our dietary restrictions. Kitchen served the food in an efficient manner, the wait was not too long. Dishes are well portioned out, the BBQ shrimp, though containing 4 shrimp came with a delicious curry and warm bread, well worth it.. The building itself is clean and the over all ambience is comfortable/family friendly.
I ordered a big bowl of crawfish and they tasted absolutely nasty. I ate a couple and then no more. They were probably dead prior to cooking. I paid for the bill and took the way to really well but I probably should’ve sent it back. Sorry Louisiana bistro that I didn’t send it back.
I had my birthday dinner here Sunday February 16th and I could not have selected a better location. The staff was very accommodating to my needs, very attentive to my guest and me, and made sure they checked in on us regularly. The food was awesome. All of my guests (17 people) had nothing but awesome things to say about each dish they ordered. I had the crab cakes which I enjoyed immensely. I will definitely be back. This place is the closest taste of Louisiana that I have had so far. Being a transplant from Louisiana that is a greatcompliment. You have to try this place soon. Laissez Les Bon temp roulet❤ Thanks Louisiana Bistreaux.
Very spacious restaurant and great patio setting . The decor is very nice. I went on a Sunday afternoon around 1:30pm and there was no wait , but it did start to get busy mins after I was seated. If you do decide to go diner here, i would suggest going a little early. I wish the appetizer menu had more options , but I did order the fried gators which were good. I order the grill pork chop and added shrimps for an additional cost and my meal was delish. My server that I had wasnt as attentive and I had to wait extremely long for her to come back to the table. For dessert I ordered the bread pudding and I was disappointed that half of it was warm & the other half was cold. At this point I didnt complain because the server would of took a along time to come back. Over my experience was okay and the food wasnt bad. I just wish my bread pudding was warm and that the server did a better job making sure everything was okay. #dishwithchris

2022-01-29This place exceeded my expectations and did not disappoint! My oysters were amazing. The crab cakes were extremely good, I highly recommend it! My gumbo and meal were delicious and flavorful. Bread pudding topped everything off nicely. The staff is really nice and professional too! Great location with plenty of parking, music, just an all around great vibe. My new favorite place!

2022-02-09We had a bridal party dinner and we were all excited to dine here. I’d been to the Decatur location and wanted to compare. The food was great, work on service etiquette is needed. The food was plated beautifully and tasted delicious. I was pleased with portion sizes as well. Please be sure the servers are holding glasses at the bottom. Our server had her hand around the rim of every single beverage she placed on the table. We wanted to send the drinks back but we’re trying not to be difficult. Of course we used straws but still. The restaurant was clean and inviting. Restroom was clean but the soap dispenser didn’t work. If it weren’t for those couple things, you would have gotten 5 stars for sure. Between the two locations, I preferred…this one. Buckhead had a better vibe.

2022-02-28I love this restaurant!!!! This is one of my favorite restaurant. I flew in from New York and I just had to have a jambalaya, which was amazing and my friend had their chef’s creation. We were seated within five minutes, the service was amazing. The bartender Jessica made us some great drinks, we were extremely happy about our experience. Can’t wait to come back!

2022-04-16First time and last time here. Came in around 5p and there was confusion amongst the wait staff and shift managers. We stood patiently and were seated in the main dining area. Five minutes later we were asked to move. No problem. We were greeted by our waiter who told us all the many items they didnt have available. We were extremely disappointed. We allowed our daughter order and I ordered some grits as a side just to quench my hungry. This place is sad and poorly run. The dish my daughter ordered (ravioli) looked bland and messy but actually taste pretty good. Shrimp appetizer was mostly fried dough.

2022-07-03Im all about customer experience and when a place delivers A1 service I will always come back! From the greeting from the door to random employees speaking and smiling made me feel welcome! Our server Rio was simply amazing! 5stars personally for you!Now to the food!! I have been here several times but I always forgot to post a review because I eat my food and forget the photo! Today my friend and I dined for lunch and we had a great time!! I started with the seafood gumbo(delish) and for my main course, I had a recommended dish from the staff called the RedFish Pontchartrain but it was a NO for me!! I hear it is one of their popular dishes but It didnt hit for me!! The manager was nice enough to comp half of the price and I appreciated that. My friend started with Fried Lobster tail and it was a good size with some flavor. The main course she had the crab cakes and a side of red beans and rice!! She looooove the crab cakes served over fried green tomato. Cakes are filled with meat! Now the beans lack seasonings surprisingly but still good. We also had bread pudding which was decent and delicious peach sangrias!Over highly recommended for birthdays, dates, girls night, or family dinner! Def a vibe10/10 will come again !

2022-02-02My party of 15 made reservations here for a birthday. We were over 15 min late to the reservation so it was canceled, and we were seated about an hour later. No big deal.First off, the food was GREAT! We did not wait long for the food and had an authentic Louisiana Cajun flavor. Everyone really enjoyed their meal. Our waitresses were also very kind and attentive, especially to such a large party. I appreciated that from them. The only reason I cannot give 5 stars is because the bar tender (woman) was so ridiculously rude. When we were waiting to be seated at the table, we first sat at the bar. Initially, the woman never greeted us or served us. When we finally got her attention, her attitude was so snappy and dismissive almost as if we were bothering her to do her job. She did not clean up the bar, so the food and silverware from the previous party was still left in front of us as we were sitting there. That was gross. She then kept unnecessarily harassing us about our IDs. I never have a problem showing mine, but she asked us at least 3 times, even after we had already showed her. Also, we were all clearly over 21 years old. Lol. This lady finally took our order, told my bf hes not allowed to order two drinks at a time, and she never even made our drinks. I tipped because the other bar tender (man) was very kind and did make our delicious margaritas, hopefully part of the tip went to him. I believe she is also the same lady who answers the phone. She was very rude when I called inquiring about our reservation. If youre at the bar, dont expect kind service at all. Other than that offsetting experience, I highly recommend dining at this place!

2022-05-28Very nice place. Valet was complimentary last nite. My daughter has been wanting to try this place. I had the shrimp and grits which was excellent. I got so full it was spicy and hot. The Caesar salad was not good. The dressing they used was awful. My daughter had the gumbo and she enjoyed it. Our waitress was wonderful very attentive. We got seated immediately. My drink a Caribbean hurricane did not disappoint. Great place to go on a date or with your friends. The bar area is right when you walk in. They need to spruce that area up but other than that. I will definitely be going again

2022-04-16A taste of Louisiana in Buckhead! I loved it I tried the alligator bites for the first time and I definitely can say it was really good and the sauce made it a plus! I order the shrimp étouffée and that was delicious so much flavor and full of Cajun seasonings! Good food and strong drinks! If you’re in the area definitely stop by you won’t be disappointed!!

2022-04-24Im sure Ive passed this place hundreds of times. I finally decided to stop as I was craving seafood and it came up on the Google search. I regret that I havent been frequenting this restaurant. I really enjoyed the rock fish. I recommend the sazerac if you dont mind absinthe. The bartender was super cool. Definitely going back when Im in the A!
