This was my first visit to Low Country Eye Care in Richmond Hill. Overall, great experience. Every space I saw was neat, orderly, and clean. In addition, the staff showed great customer service and were able and willing to answer my questions. Special thank yous to Technician Christy Ana, Optical Technician Ashley, and Dr. Melinda Dang. Thank you guys for your excellent customer service.
Very professional, I cant speak highly enough of the staff just a great experience. The only issue I have is whatever lab they use to have glasses made is slower then the second coming. It takes forever to get a set of glasses in. But all in all its a great place and I highly recommend.
They asked me to arrive 15 mins early for paperwork (which took less than 5 mins to complete) and then it was over 30 mins past my appointment before I was actually seen. The exam room was clean and all the equipment was very well kept. The doctor was helpful with my different concerns.Brian in the glasses department was extremely kind and helpful. We had a mix up with the lenses I purchased but they reordered them at no cost.
I was due for a yearly eye exam and new glasses and decided to try out Low Country Eye Care since they’re in my area. It was a great choice! The entire staff was courteous, I arrived to my appointment 15 minutes early and they promptly got me started with my exam a few minutes after I arrived. Dr. Dang was very kind and answered any questions that I had. As I was for looking for new glasses, Ashley was very helpful and provided her honest feedback about the styles I chose and any add ons that I needed. I’m highly satisfied with the pair I picked out and will definitely go back for any of my eye care needs!
This place is wonderful! Everyone here is so kind, welcoming and helpful. Syan was my eye tech. She was an angel especially when it came to helping me put on my contacts! She was very patient with me and gave great tips to help me put my contacts in correctly. She also told me to feel free to call the office with any questions I have. Dr. Freeman was sweet and knowledgeable. Also Ashley helped me pick out two pair of glasses that I love! She gave me honest feedback on how they fit my face so I was able to narrow it down from all of their wonderful choices they offer. All the ladies at this eye care center are fantastic and i highly recommend everyone visit them for all of your eye care needs!
I really enjoyed my appointment at Low Country Eye Care. Everyone was very helpful and happy. The reception area is spacious and comfortable, although I hardly had any time to wait before Crystal, the technician, called me in to start the preliminary exam. Dr Freeman was was very friendly and knowledgeable. It had been a while since my last eye exam and it seemed to me they are equipped with the latest in technology. After the exam, Ashley was very helpful and patient in showing me my options and pricing. The entire visit hardly took any time at all.
Low Country Eye Care (the Richmond Hill office) is by far the best choice/office/doctor(s) in the area for your vision needs. As someone who has been to quite a few eye care centers in my day, the fine people at this office have completely won me over and as a result I will be a customer for life. The entire staff is truly top notch, as they go above and beyond at every turn to make sure that their customers are comfortable and happy to the fullest. Hannah in particular is the very definition of an outstanding patient & customer care specialist. That gal is flat out terrific! I thank my lucky stars that my peepers are under her care. Go see them... theyre the best.
Our family loves Low Country Eye Care! Their front desk staff, especially Pam, are wonderful! They are accommodating, kind, and professional. My children love seeing Dr. Freeman and getting their eyes checked annually. Thank you for the wonderful patient experience and customer service!
The staff and Dr Freeman at Low Country Eye Care provide exceptional service, courteous, accommodating my need to be seen quickly, listening to my concerns, and providing solutions to partner with me for relief. Their new eye scan is wonderful, and the Dr reviewed the scan pictures with me explaining it in detail (very helpful). And the office receptionist who made my appointment via phone was very nice, and explained all charges ahead of the visit
I recently had a first appointment at Low Country Eye Care in Richmond Hill. I had a great experience starting with getting an appointment within a day and then being able to have a complete eye exam in a friendly, professional, well equipped office. I was taken into my appointment on time. My technician Crystal was skilled, helpful and friendly. When I saw Dr. Dang she was also professional and friendly and she clearly explained all the details of my exam. She listened to my questions and I didnt feel hurried at all. I would highly recommend Low Country Eye Care.
I had a very annoying scratchy bring you to tears pain in my eye this morning. Pam got me scheduled and in the Richmond Hill office within the hour. The receptionist there was very efficient and friendly. Crystal was great and Dr. Freeman was great as well. They had me out of there well within 30 minutes. Paperwork to finish. Highly recommend and may return for my annual eye exam.
I saw Dr Brandenburg today, She was super friendly and did not rush. The young lady Nichol that checked on my before the Dr. was also super nice and friendly. The counter staff was efficient and very welcoming, I felt like the prices for Lenses and glasses were a bit high compared to my last Eye Doctors office. Almost doubled since 2 years ago. But I dont mind paying more if the service is good and the people are friendly.
Avoid this place. They charge you for things other eyecare places don’t charge you for. Basic eye test $30, contact lens fitting $75, etc. I thought they were going to charge me for parking before I left. it’s a total rip off. Go to Wal-Mart or a any other place that doesn’t charge extra for things you shouldn’t be charged for. Total fraud.
I had a wonderful experience at Low Country Eye Care today. The front desk staff was extremely nice and my tech Crystal was very helpful and caring. Lashawna did a wonderful job with ordering my lenses. Dr. Brandenburg is a very knowledgeable and caring doctor. I would not go anywhere else.
I would recommend this office to anyone. Dr Dang and the staff noticed swollen optic nerves and knew it was a medical emergency. She had me go to Memorial immediately and he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Thanks to this staff, my sons life was saved. I am forever grateful. Also, not only do they know what they’re doing… they are also incredibly compassionate. They called me when I was at the hospital with him to check on him and comforted me when I was in tears at the office when I was thinking the worst. Absolutely amazing staff!!
Just had my eye exam with the lovely folks at Low Country Eye Care and I’m so happy. Nicole the tech, was super sweet and very informative about every step of the initial process. Dr Dang was so kind and explained all the checks she performed on my eyes and answered all my questions so thoroughly. Alyssa helped me pick out glasses and gave me all the info I needed for pricing as I have a rather complicated prescription.Overall a seamless, pleasant and friendly experience from start to finish. Highly recommend! I have found my new fav eye care center.
I want to thank Crystal the technician who helped me today and also Dr. Freeman for helping with my new eyeballs (contacts) lol. They made it easy and comfortable to be there. They were extremely nice and helpful and I will definitely recommend anyone to them. I have found my new eye place and also the office was great and patient with my son who is autistic and got his eyeglasses perfect for himThank you again you lovely ladies for your help and will definitely be back from now on.
The staff is extremely warm and welcoming from the moment you walk in the door. Crystal was great she was funny and very informative. She explained everything she was doing and if it involved additional cost she told me ahead of time. Dr. Brandenburg made sure I was comfortable the moment she walked into the room. She was very thorough and friendly and answered all of my questions.
Decided to switch eye doctors after 10 years. Wasnt thrilled with the one I had been seeing, and actually tried a few others over the years with no luck (problems getting the prescription right, billing issues,etc.). So thought Id try switching again and am so glad I did. Received response immediately after messaging their office. Was able to make an appointment in the near future, and person I spoke with was friendly and professional. So off to a great start. Initial visit was fantastic. Filled out paperwork and right in. Nicole was absolutely amazing. Thorough, friendly, and warm. Exceptional communication skills! And loved Dr. Freeman. Professional, sincere, and engaged. Shows a deep interest in her patients, and makes you feel like family. And the best part is the prescription was on key. She had tweaked it a little and it ended up being perfect. I have done monovision contacts for 20 years, and it can be hard to get right. Again, she got it right the first try, which has rarely happened for me. It is nice to find an eye doctor that I fully like and trust!! Highly recommend!
~ My daughters and I have been going to Low Country Eye Care in Richmond Hill for 4 years now. They have always been VERY professional, on time and personable. Weve has great experiences with 2 Optometrists over the years. Both joys to deal with! Our last 2 visits, weve had the pleasure of working with Crystal, our technician. She was super thorough and explained what each step in the process meant so that we felt at ease. Very appreciative of this and her care! Well be back as usual because we wouldnt want our eye care services done anywhere else! xoxo, Kimberly...Owner/Christa Michelle Candle Co. ~
This will always be my place to go for my eye care needs. The friendly smiles at the front desk to seeing the provider my visits here are always professional, courteous, friendly and polite. Crystal was amazing during my exam explaining each procedure to me before performing. Dr. Dang is amazing with my exam. She was exceptionally at making sure my vision was perfect if not near perfect. The entire staff gets a 100/100 from me. Thank you all for what you do🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
I recently visited with my two teenage sons for our annual appointments and our technician, Nicole, was wonderful to work with. She was professional, polite and efficient. Dr. Dang is delightful and knows her stuff. I especially appreciate that she talks to my boys directly about their vision and what she is doing while chatting with them about their interests.
I saw Dr. Freeman and she is the best! I had not had an eye exam in years so I was a bit nervous. She made me feel very comfortable and explained everything she was doing as she did it and put all of my worries at ease. She also examined my 1 year old and was extremely gentle. I have already booked my next appointment!
From the moment I called, I received a warm welcome to set up my appointment. Today, I was blessed to be seen by Dr Caroline Freeman, Crystal and Shawna. Each lady was so kind and made me feel like I have known them for ever. So patient, in every step of the way from getting my eyes examined, to also picking out two new pairs of eye glasses. They all are a very thorough.......and excellent at what they each do.I wish I could give them all TEN 🌟‘s because they deserve it!
Staff was pleasant and helpful from my initial phone call. Once I arrived at the office the receptionist was nice, office waiting room was clean and comfortable.Crystal was helpful at putting me at ease and making me feel comfortable.Dr. Freeman was very friendly, knowledgeable and prescribed meds for my eyes.I called at 12 noon and was seen at 1:30 the same day. I will definitely be back when I need eye care.
I had a very pleasant visit. The staff is helpful. The vision tech Mrs Syan is very professional and explained each eye exam test thoroughly. Dr Dang is remarkable. She listened to my vision concerns and was very thorough and pleasant during the entire eye exam. I would recommend Low Country Eye Care.
My experience with low country eye care has been phenomenal, Starting with the call center, Debra was my first point of contact & she was professional and a pleasure to work with! This is the first time I experience a call center prior to going to the doctors office and Debra was outstanding! She answer all my questions and set my appointment up to my convenience. I chose to go to the Richmond Hill location and Dr. Freeman was amazing I look forward to a long relationship with low country I care!!!
This may have been the fastest I have ever been seen for a doctors appointment. Cynthia was great for getting me some necessary documentation ahead of our meeting, and Nicole was excellent at moving my appointment along with grace and professionalism. Dr. Dang was as professional and polite as her staff. Thanks for an excellent experience.
My appointment set up/new patient introduction was quick and easy on the phone with Pamela! She was very friendly, patient, and quick to answer the phone! I anticipate my appointment, I know it will be just as good as the customer service I received on the phone today.
Dr. Melinda Dang is the best optometrist Ive known to date. I have had multiple eye injuries from years of competing in boxing. My previous optometrist gave me the run around and misdiagnosed my injuries as allergies costing me money with no effective solution. I finally decided to give Dr. Melinda Dang a chance. My first visit to Dr. Dang and she found the problem within 15 minutes and had a solution that works TILL THIS DAY. Dr. Dang has wonderful customer service, effective treatment of eye injuries/injury prevention, exceptional work ethic, and in addition to these she is the top of her class in optometry.I recommend Dr. Dang to everyone. Finding a good doctor is very hard and she has won my trust and confidence for years to come.Words cannot express how grateful I am to have my vision saved and preserved by her. She is truly a blessing to her patients. Thank you so very much for all that you do Dr. Dang!!God Bless!
I recently started going to the Richmond Hill office and they’ve been so amazing. They were able get me in for a same day appointment which helped me so much! Thank you to Crystal and Dr.Freeman for getting on the right track and helping me. Highly recommend and looking forward to my next visit!
My first eye exam in 20 years, and I couldnt be more pleased than I am with Low Country Eye Care. Dr. Brandenburg was happy to explain everything she was doing and what it all meant. I not only learned a lot, I enjoyed the process. Kayla was very helpful in explaining lens and frame options. A perfect 10 from start to finish.
Just had my first appointment and I had a really good experience. Crystal was my technician and she was really nice. I was in and out within 45 mins and I really appreciated it. Even with it only taking 45 mins I still felt like I wasnt rushed out and get taking care of. Thanks guys.
Thank you so much for a great experience. Crystal Rush was so kind and patient when I explained my sight issues. Dr. Freeman also listened to my vision issues and worked to produce a solution for my dry eyes and contact lens wearing. She explained the photo of both eyes. I look forward to a great relationship with the Richmond Hill location of Low Country Eye.
We bought incredibly expensive frames and lenses for my daughter here last June. The arm just broke off this week and we took them in to see what they could do. Which is apparently nothing. Conveniently the warranty expired 06/5, 3 weeks ago. I have a $800 pair of one year old totally useless glasses now. They offered zero solutions.
This was my second visit at the office. As a healthcare professional, I have found Dr. Freeman to be an excellent practitioner and diagnostician for both routine examination and focused concern. The assistants, Syran and Nicole, were also knowledgeable, friendly and professional. I highly recommend a visit.
Everyone is always so professional and kind, but most especially Pam! She answers phone calls and sets appointments. She is so pleasant and exactly the kind of person everyone hopes to speak to on the phone. A great person to be the first point of contact for the business! Keep up the great work, Pam!!
Today was my first experience with this practice and I could not be more pleased! The office is a well decorated, clean and calm setting with many choices for eyeglass frames. Their doctors and staff are very friendly and efficient. I picked out a pair of in-stock frames today and my prescription lenses were ready for pickup in under two hours! I have never had same day eyeglasses. I will definitely recommend this facility to anyone and everyone for eyecare.
Today I had a appt and I came in after lunch and the office was beautiful and very clean. I did however get greeted in a not so personable way by a taller blonde girl who was standing at the front, just not very welcoming and came off a little abrasive..While waiting for my appt I was also being entertained by personal conversations that were being had by the two girls at the front......It didnt set a good first impression for me but as I went back with the first girl she was very nice and the doctor as well. I will come back but hopeful to have a better second impression.
I recently located to another state nearly ten hours away. I spent 15 years with Dr Todd and his wonderful staff. When my husband broke his glasses and frames expectantly, Brian jumped through some HUGE hoops to make sure our warranty was met. Thank goodness for technology....through texts and a few phone calls and the postal service we have replacement glasses on the way to us in less than 2 weeks. Brian did all the leg-work for us and I am definitely going to miss the wonderful customer service we received. Hometown eye doctors are far better than the franchise chains that dont know your name or you family members.
I love Low Country Eye Care in Richmond Hill. Appointments are easy to schedule and the staff is friendly. Brian spent a lot of time helping me pick out the perfect glasses and I love them. He was honest and told me what looked good and what didn’t. Anytime I need them adjusted he fixes them right away and always has a smile on his face!!
I was SUPPOSED to have an 11:15am eye appointment at this office. It was my second annual visit, so I was an established patient. I woke up around 7am but decided to catch a few extra winks, but when I woke up again I was shocked to see it was 11:04am. I proceeded to almost literally break my neck to get to my appointment, driving the 5 miles from my house in the pouring rain. Upon my arrival, I immediately apologized for my tardiness & explained Id overslept. There were two receptionists at the front desk and another staff member at a desk behind them, with not a soul present in the waiting area. One of the receptionists told me that their policy was to reschedule patients who were more than 15 minutes late, but I pointed out to her that I indeed had two minutes to spare per that policy. She then deferred to the staff member at the desk behind them, who walked to the back for less than a minute and returned, stating that there were four patients already waiting for the doctor, so they couldnt possibly see me today. I left without rescheduling. If you dont honor your own office policies, why have them at all? I will never return to this practice, and if they try to charge me for a no-show, I will hire an attorney. The GPS on my phone is all the proof I need.
I spoke with Pam at the call center. She was absolutely amazing and a total joy to speak with. I honestly did not want to get off of the phone because she was so pleasant and friendly. Hold onto to her and dont let her go. The world needs a lot more of what and who she is.
I was a new patient and it was a super easy process filling out paperwork and dealing with insurance. Staff was very friendly and professional. The waiting room was nice and clean and I did not have to wait long at all! I’ve worn contacts my entire adult life and learned so much new information and details about my vision that didn’t know before!
I have been coming to Low Country Eye Care for about three years. I should have written a bad review a year ago when they made a mistake and copied the WRONG prescription for my contact lenses. I told them during my fitting that I was still having a hard time reading and they assured me that I didnt know how to put lenses in correctly. I drove without being able to see for over a week, and I complained about headaches and poor vision at my next apppointment. The doctor looked at my file and the lenses they had provided me and realized that I had been wearing the WRONG PRESCRIPTION. Today was the last straw and I will not be returning. I broke my only pair of glasses, meant to be a back-up for my contact lenses, and I went in to try and get a copy of my prescription and get replacement glasses, because I can not drive, read, or SEE without my prescription. The Federal Trade Commission requires eyecare providers to release your prescription to you anytime you ask for it, BUT in Georgia it is not required for them to tell you your pupillary distance, which you need to purchase glasses. I have been a loyal patient, but I do not buy my glasses frames or lenses in clinic because they have a very small, overpriced selection that are not affordable to me. I was informed that since I have never forked my money over to Low Country Eyecare, I would have to pay a fee for my pupillary distance. So basically, buy our rip-off glasses, or pay us for permission to get them at a fair price. You are MUCH better off driving 15 more minutes and getting your eye exam AND frames/lenses from the Walmart Vision Center on Coastal Highway. I went there ONCE in a pinch, but I just called, and the lady on the phone was very nice, helpful, and they had no problem giving me my PD. Dont pay more than you have to just to SEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Always friendly staff. Very impressed by time that Brian spent helping me find just the right frame. Also called after crashing my bike into a tree and messing up my glasses. Assured me to come straight to office even in dirty biking clothes. Cheerfully fixed nose pad and sent me on my way.
Just got back from my 10:30 appointment in Richmond Hill I got to the office around 10:15 got in there was told to hold on finally someone came up to me and told them that I had an appointment at 10:30 sat down for a little bit she came back and took me to the room I told her that the contact that lady gave me was not working for me I only got it for my right eye they tell you to wear the contact to the appointment but I couldnt even wear the contact to the appointment because I cant see out of it to drive my vision is worse with the contact in than it is without. So 11 Rolls by and I hear people laughing outside of the room Im pretty sure I even hear my doctor laughing I hear other people getting serviced as Well it is 11 30 on my phone she finally knocks on when door comes in I tell her that I cant see out of the contact that I think she needs to re-examine my eyes she said that she knew the prescription was good but the first time she did it she had to come back 3 times because every contacts you put in my I didnt work. She said shes going to order me a different type. Okay cool so I waited a whole hour just for a three-minute conversation. She took me up to the front desk told me they would call me and probably like 2 weeks when the contact comes in and then where that if it doesnt work to come back! Would you come back or would you just go somewhere else?

2021-07-30The Low Country Eye Care Team gets a superior rating from me due to their genuine customer service and quality care. Nicole was very knowledgeable and well organized before and during my exam. She informed me on the procedures that Dr. Brandenburg would perform. Dr. Brandenburg was prompt and energetic. There was no waiting period for moving on to the next phase of my visit, which was selecting my new frames. Kayla explained the selection process and how soon my new frames would arrive. I didnt have to ask any questions because everything was explained in detail.Overall the facility was exceptionally clean and the staff was professional. This will be my choice for my eye care needs and now you should make it yours.

2021-11-17From my first phone call into the office to the last day walking out each and every person that I worked with was so welcoming, kind and helpful! In saying that I highly recommend Low Country Eye Care. I personally went to the office in Richmond Hill and had a great experience. Dr. Melinda Dang and her assistant Nicole were awesome! Both are very patient and listened to my concerns and answered my questions. The exam went well and my glasses are perfect! Speaking of glasses Ashley assisted me with choosing two new pair (everyday and sunglasses). I love both pairs and I get so many complements and I have referred friends to Low Country Eye Care. My husband also had a great experience and he too is very happy with his prescription and glasses. We both highly recommend Low Country Eye Care and we will be back for all future appointments.

2021-12-16Called Low Country Eye Care and got an appointment the next day! I was pleased to have been cared for by Crystal who offered great conversation and helped make using some of the awkward machines a breeze. Then, Dr. Dang was cheery and super informative. Finally, Ashely helped me get properly fitted for a cute pair of glasses. The whole appointment was painless and honestly enjoyable. Made me feel good to be taking care of my eyes and vision. Thanks, Richmond Hill team!

2022-05-11I was extremely pleased with my Technician, Elizabeth and Dr. Costless. Both took a lot of time to test and diagnose my eye issues. My only negative is the price of the glasses in the retail area. I no longer have vision insurance and paying those prices are way out of my budget. This is a shame because I prefer to buy local and keep the money in our community, but I just cant pay over $600.00 for a pair of glasses that I can get online for less than $200.00! Great experience with my eye exam though!!!!

2022-02-23As parents of an autistic child we never know how he is going to respond to most things. We have never had luck with any form of doctors appointment. They always go sideways, but weve learned what his triggers are and do our best to get ahead of them. We were very clear on what would need to take place for any chance of his appointment to go well and they did their best to accommodate. The visit was nearly flawless which was the complete opposite of what I expected.

2022-05-18My technician, Elizabeth, was so friendly and helpful! She listened to me and answered all of my questions. Emma helped me choose glasses, and was very good at helping me find the best frames as I have a small face. Shawna was very helpful and listened as I needed some tweaking. Dr. Schnobrich was super kind and is currently helping me dial in my Rx!

2022-06-17The entire staff is very professional and protective of the patient privacy. Dr Dang is knowledgeable and nice and an effective communicator even for patients with little English speaking skills. We appreciate your entire staff, especially the lady with the fuzzy pink uggs. Unfortunately I didnt get her name, but she was ba pleasure to work with. This is a great place to get your eye exam👍
