Lowes Home Improvement in other cities:
Customer service lady is not understanding trying to get back to her phone. Came in for a heating element for water heater and was told by her that Lowes dont have and was sent to another associate. Went back to customer service with heating element to explain situation and was told we dont do that. Have an authorization number for. Part and was told we dont do that rudely.
Lowes advertising ortho home defense for 7.98 in store. I go to the aisle where the website says the have 95 in stock. I get to the register and its 16$ The cashier tells me its on a different aisle. I go to the aisle and again it rings up $16. The cashier ask another cashier can we price match and she responds with an attitude if its a different part number we cant price match. My response I dont want you to price match I want the product youre advertising which your website says you have 95 in stock. I then ask for a manager who never showed up the Manger I believe is named jason or Troy. After talking to multiple associates and never seeing a Manger Dalton went a found the product this was about an hour of my time and very stressful . Dalton should be the Manger and the manager on duty should be demoted and hire stockers that stock the right product in the right spots. Beware of lowes false advertising bait n switch . They been sued for false advertising before
Tried to call Lowes in Columbus Saturday morning and was on hold 47 minutes before any one answered. After someone answered I ask for a manager ..was put on hold for another 17 minutes. Before I finished talking I was cut off. They need to do something about this problem..if they want business from the phone customer.
This Lowe’s has served me and my family well for 20+ years. The paint department is always on point and the store’s staff is always ready and willing to help. I would advise to check in-store vs using the app because their app and website tend to be off on inventory and aisle location pretty regularly.
Needed to buy 14 doors. Was told I had to come into store. No phone orders. Items did not show on web site. The employee said they all were in stock and she would have the doors picked and ready for us to pickup at 1000. When we got there, the doors werent all there and none were ready for loading. We were told we would have to wait to get the doors down from top rack. After 30 minutes of waiting on someone to do this, we left. Will purchase doors elsewhere.
Horrible....just horrible. It took an hour for someone to finally come and assist me with having vinyl sheet flooring cut. I walked all over the store looking for someone to help. Rang the bell for assistance several times to have someone paged to the vinyl department and no one came. There were several able bodied men standing in a huddle at the opposite end of the store, still not one of them came to assist me. Finally, I found the one lone person who is in charge of cutting the vinyl flooring and it happens to be a woman.....(hats off to her). Lazy men stood back watching while I (also female) lended her a hand. Everyone I asked for help told me they dont cut vinyl...not there job. What happened to cross training? Everyone who works in that store should be cross trained to do whatever is needed to help the customer. I repeat...horrible experience and had I not been using my lowes card, I would have gone to Home Depot.
Poor costumer service. I bought a ready seal staine for my fence about 3 weeks ago, and I use it this passed weekend, however I did run out of product so went to buy another 5 gallons bucket yesterday when I did open it the color was red brown and doesnt match with the color on the other bucket. So I took both buckets back to lowes today and the head cashier told she cant take it back, call the 800 number and refuse to call the manager to let me speak with it. Also I belive she was trying to say on the nice way that she doesnt know how the product looks like when I opened it. And cant warranty if was change it. In another ways she was try to tell me I change the product in the bucket.
Upon arriving to Lowes at 6:10 a.m. in 35 degree weather, I was delighted to find the store a very nice temperature as well as clean. After I was greeted, I proceeded to locate the indoor plants garden area – and WOW...was I a very happy camper!!! I even got a very small but large sized Fiddle Leaf tree is beautiful along with a couple of small but large sized $3.98 Peace Lilly plants and one of 2 African Violets. I visited another contender that was highly disappointing – so of course Lowes will definitely be seeing this lady again very soon!
I couldnt live in the country if I didnt have Lowes! What have I NOT bought here! I shop mostly in the gardendept. Im crazy about their ongoing plants sale: .50- $3.00. They do sale the plants that didnt sell atregular price. Moving to an acre of land on a private 100 acre lake, I have literally filled up this yard with every plant one can think of: butterfly, red, holly, forsythia, rose of sharon, hydrangeas of all kinds, azaleas, redbuds, gardenias, ivy, pyracantha, chaste, peony, jasmine, lorapedlum, tea olive, japanese maples, ajuga, pansies, daffodils, sedums, cedars, daylillies, bradford pears, an ornamental plum, mexican petunias, ferns, ground covers, snowballs, russian sage..what could I have missed!?My once clear-cut yard is flourishing. I bought miracle grow, but most often I bought their cheapest manure &dirt, using both in a hole & everything has grown! Ive bought a boat motor, paint, stains, brushes, landscape timbers that were delivered, Two grills, screws, wallpaper, indoor plants, grass seed, tons of birdseed and feeders, pavers, 2x4, 6 ,7 & 10s; quickcrete, a mailbox, pinestraw, a rug, water hoses, yard chairs, umbrellas, rebar, blowers, a lawn mower, wind chimes, screen for a porch, lattice, lighting, plumbing needs, drills, sand, had keys made, and indoor heaters..ceiling fans, shower curtains,a bilge pump, fertilizers, tools, fencing, &.....what have I NOT bought at Lowes in Columbus, with front door/garden area parking, guys who willload and/or deliver for youfor a fee. It is convienent, on Veterans Parkway, on my way to I-185. Its surrounded by places to eat, too. I love Lowes. I could have never created my Wildlife Habitat had Lowes not been there! Oh, returns are easy & hassle-free.Ive never taken a class there, but Im considering one to replace my outlets.Next on my list: a white fridge, & a prelit christmas tree when they go on sale.
Some of the employees are incredibly rude and lazy. Corporate policy that must be adhered to can change at the flip of the shift with no explanation. Ordering online is a disaster and the customer service desk is almost always staffed with the rudest most ignorant person on staff for the day.
I always use this store and have spent thousands of dollars here. Until now, I’ve been completely satisfied with their service. I ordered a custom marble top vanity and received an Corian top. Not only did I not get the vanity and the marble top but I only received a Corian top. I contacted George, the store manager who was awesome and very helpful. I came into the store 10/19/21 and waited 15 minutes in the customer service line to ensure I wouldn’t have an issue returning the item before I lugged it from my truck. I spoke with Brittany who said to bring the item in. I did that and now the line is longer and she made me wait through everyone that I was already ahead of. This is ridiculous! The customer service people should have better customer service skills. I usually would give them 4 or 5 stars but today they get a 2!
I visited the garden center looking for a plant they listed online. I never found it and settled for something else. Almost no staff in that area. The only staff not on a register said she was only moving carts and didnt know anything. Great selection if you know what you are looking for but dont expect help. This has been my experience on multiple trips to the store. UPDATE: Not much has changed. Hard to get any employee with experience.
Lowes here in Columbus is very busy being as there is only one central location here. But they do a good job of moving things along. I highly recommend doing Park and pick up through their app. Its very smooth and it works very well! The employees are all very friendly and helpful.
Customer service has a lot of young people working in the front and they do not know what they are doing when it comes to company warranty and replacing parts try to get a part replaced and nobody could help me so I have to call the manufacturer back and get a brand new water heater Lowes is terrible go to home Depot
Yesterday and the night before I spent trying to order cabinets on-line. I tried Columbus, Newnan and apparently they didnt have what I wanted in stock. I tried 2 different colors also and it wouldnt give the option to order what I wanted and wait on the rest to come in. I had to remove from the cart and just order what they had which was 1 cabinet. There was a sale that if you ordered 1000 or more you got 10% off. I finally ended up going to the store to my surprise all of the cabinets I wanted where there except 1. PARIS WAS HELPING us and HE WAS EXCELLENT, PROFESSIONAL, COURTEOUS and FRIENDLY! He went to get the evening manger to see if we could get the online discount since I wasnt able to order online, do you think he apologized for WASTING my time, NO!! HE DIDNT EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE US. HE WAS THE WORST AND didnt approve the discount either. What kind of BS customer service is this? I expect more from you Lowes!!
Everything is well organized and they almost always have what Im looking for. I usually dont have a problem searching items I need on their website and getting their location inside the store. Sometimes they arent in the location on the site, but usually arent too far away. On my last visit, they only had self checkout open which led to a decently long line. I cant think of a time when the employees werent helpful.
Wow talk about terrible customer service. Cashiers taking barcodes off of products and walking off to associates telling me they dont have time to help me because there busy. I left the store and decided to call the store manager after over 20 tranfers with no answers and customer service hanging up on me 5 times and me being able to hear them say this guy keeps calling asking for a manager before putting me on hold or hanging up on me again. I dont know how Lowes trains there employees but if it were my business and my employees all acted like they did today Id close the doors. I will say I left and went to home depot they all spoke with manners of politeness and respect they cut and loaded the wood I needed in less than 10 minutes and I was on my way.
Im having a hard time understanding why my card was charged 3 separate times in 3 different days. Then, I hold for 25 MINUTES for an available associate, just for someone to answer and hang up. I would have been ok, if someone answered and asked me to continue to hold because of short staff or whatever the case may have been. FYI Hearing, Were working to answer your call as quickly as possible every 2 minutes during a 25 wait is unnecessary. In fact, it made the situation worst. I will be canceling my order.
Last year this store gave exceptional serviceSo much so I remodeled our house and spent over $30,000. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. In fact the associates would greet you warmly. The last three times I visited this store in Columbus GA very few associates spoke to me. In fact on day I visited the store and passed no less than 15 associates no one said good morning, how may I help you or anything. On my rececent two visits I wanted an exchange because warranty issues. One associate ask me for a receipt, I told them I purchased it on my mylowes card but did not know the date. She said the warranty was with the manufacturer, she did not offer to look up the information.Just poor customer service in my opion.
Was very disappointed in the service I received at this location. I bought a whirlpool washer for my home. My grandson was with me and when he age 20 asked for assistance the lady in appliances was rude 😒. As we headed to check out with our washer and checked out, the cashier said he would get us help in loading the machine in the back of our truck. No one came to assist us in getting the washer into the back of the truck. Thanks for nothing Lowes for taking our money and leaving us at the door 🚪
I bought some items ,left it in the buggy I called when I got home witch I live a hour away, they told me go come up there and they will look at the footage on camera and see if they could help me out because it was left there, well I go a hour up there because its like 60 plus bucks and they had me sit there 30 min or longer asking what all I bought I told them the exact contents in the bag well another 15 min later Im sorry we dont have outside cameras so we caint help ,why the hell did your manager tell me to come in then ?? 2 house of ride time for nothing ...no out side camers ??
Use to be my go to store for everything until I sat for over an hour waiting on a dishwasher to come out of the back. Then I have to sign documents stating all the parts are there with a damaged box tapped together and not even allowed a copy of the documents I signed.. I have never in my life signed a document and not be able to keep a copy of it before in my life.
Do not shop here!!!!! I will never, under any circumstances, shop at lowes. I placed an order online and it said it would be available for pickup today. After I placed the order I went out to shop and figured I would stop by and pick up. When I get there, there is a sign saying pickup here and retuns here. Everyone was in the return line. So I walk up to the online pickup register. Tara, if her name tag is correct, is the lead cashier, as rude as she could said, you need to get in line. I pointed at the signs and said I thought I was, because I am here for pickup. I apologized to the people in line and got in line, even though all of them were returning items. When Tara finally calls me up and I give her my order number, she says, it aint ready and it wont be in for 7 days. She seemed really happy that I was cancelling my order. Seriously, she was happy I was cancelling my order. She needs to work some place where she wont have to interact with people.Needless to say, I cancelled the order. These people are awful. Avoid this place at all cost. Go to home depot.
This Lowes was crazy. You would have thought it was Christmas! The shopping carts were overflowing in the parking lot! The lines were so long! It took us 20 minutes to check out! But the girl in the garden shop was all by herself yet very sweet! She had a great attitude and did a great job!
I wish i could give no stars. Ive never been treated so badly in a store like this. I came in to buy a washer and dryer set ended up leaving without anything. The sales clerk in appliances walked away and left us standing there, she didnt even speak to us just left us there i went straight to home depot and bought a new washer and dryer in 15 mins. Ill never spend my $ at Lowes.
I went there to have a chain cut to put dog on, but no one was available there to assist me. I even spoke to a female employee there & she claimed it was not her department & did not offer to call someone to assist me in having a chain cut! So I left store without my chain! They have been having this problem for awhile I notice . Just not enough employees & not willing to provide assistance to a valued customer!
DO NOT have flooring installed with Lowe’s. The company they hire to do it is a joke & will leave you with tons of work to be done yourself that is not explained whatsoever to you or in the contract. I will never recommend anyone to do business with them. Buy your materials there & hire someone else to do it - save yourself a lot of time & headache.
I’ve just gotta say the only helpful part of calling the store is the robot prompt. Sat on the phone 15 minutes talked to two people, first put me on hold until the second picked up my line then I assume tried to redirect me to someone else but picked up my line again and just left me on hold.
This place is the worst. Had a bad experience about a year ago, but it was handled well. Have not shopped here since, but I needed something Home Depot didn’t have and was pressed for time. Customer service the worst. Ordered inline for pickup then waited when I got to the store because 1. They had no idea what they were doing and 2. They didn’t even have it ready after confirming online it was ready and after ordering over 24 hours prior. I Ended up spending twice the time it would have been just to walk in and get the items myself and 4x as long as a pick up order should take.total wait time was 40 minutes. There were several other disappointed customers as well. An assosciate laughed when I showed her the message confirming my order was ready stating “those people don’t even work here they wouldn’t know” Never again. Don’t do it. Go anywhere else. Wait for shipping it will probably be faster.
A little upset with them. I bought an Ego Lawn Mower yesterday, which was sold as brand new. The next morning, I go to open the box only to find out that there are water spots all over the mower, and lots of grass trimmings around the blade. Be wary of what you purchase with them. Well see what they say (been on hold trying to reach their customer service for 10+ minutes).Edit: After finally getting in touch with someone after 30 minutes of waiting, the lady tried to put me in touch with someone who works in the Lawn Care area. That call was disconnected.Lowes seriously needs to improve their customer service. I doubt Ill see any compensation/discount on the new mower when I return this used one, which annoys me since I have to drive almost an hour to reach this one.
I ordered cabinets for my personal house as a pilot to possibly use Lowe’s as a vendor for the company that I work for. Well, not only did they fail, they bombed. Not only did I wait 4 days in a row from the hours of 9am-9pm to get the PROPER SIZED cabinets that I ORDERED online, I still have not gotten what I ordered. And now they are having to schedule to come take them all out because this is BS. l have put off movers, counter top vendors and paid cabinet installers, all to find out they are not able to give me what I have already paid for.We, as Resipro, spend $12mil a year at Home Depot and we have always been happy. I was willing to take this chance myself as a pilot but not only was I disappointed, I was distraught beyond belief and coming out of my own pocket due to vendors and movers.Bye Lowe’s
If you go on the weekend you will be waiting in line for a long time. On the occasions there was only one person checking people out and the self checkout. If you qualify for a military discount you cant use the self checkout. I stood in line for 20 min, at the same time called the store to ask the manager why he/she isnt down there helping since this is a management issue but the phone just rang the whole time I was on line. So they wont even answer the phone.
Went to the garden center to get a few plants to get my vegetable garden started. The place was working alive with people, several without maskEven outside this still makes me nervous since the display rows are so close together. Since every garden center in our area carries Bonnie Plant almost exclusively, I went to Bonnies web site to look at what available. Their website gives you a good description of what to expect the plant to do, when to plant, how far apart, etc. When I got to Lowes I couldnt find any okra, lettuce, or the variety of tomato I had decided on, Bonnies Centennial. You can actually ordered you plants directly from Bonnies. Thats what I intend to do, to heck with the garden center.
This Lowes is the best ever! I am a frequent customer and I have experienced Great customer service, greeted as soon as you walk in the door, helpful employees and great prices. Special thank you to the wonderful sales lady in the garden dept and Ms Cleo in the paint dept.
I dont know if its just this area or what, but they are consistently out of everything I seem to need. Every. Single. Time. Im not talking about Lumber either. I was also having this issue pre CV19 as well, so thats not the problem. As a professional, this makes things extremely difficult.
Theo in the appliance section was very helpful in helping me pick out a refrigerator. He was kind and respectful and willing to assist me even with the hard questions. If he did not have an immediate answer he would look the product up online to see what he could find. He was just as interested as I was to find the answer. He went above and beyond what many other associates would be willing to assist with. I greatly appreciated the time he spent with me without ever making me feel like I was an interruption in his day. He deserves recognition for his outstanding service.
Very bad customer service. I had some items delivered. Part of my order was missing. I informed the driver and also called the store. It took many calls and long waits over 4 days to finally get the remaining items late. They keep saying they put the items on the truck over and over. What good is it for the customer if the item goes on the truck. If youre a customer best bet is go somewhere else. Harvey lumber, 84 lumber, capital materials, builders first all have better customer service. Especially Harvey. At lowes theres not a good way to resolve missing items in a delivery. Even showing the driver they dont care. They only care they put it on the truck.
Pro: Lowe’s is a good place to get what you need for your home or whatever needs improvement/fixing and they have great customer service.Con: Their delivery service sucks! Ever time I’ve ordered appliances from them, there’s been some sort of mix up or delay. Got my appliances late but the service people were good abd did the installation correctly.
Delivery manger or whatever she is very rude missing items on a order bought everything with Lowe’s card and she’s telling me that I need my receipt to show item was not delivered. For what if I bought everything with Lowe’s card and my purchase is saved online I even told her what item it was and she was very rude still about the situation.
I recommend downloading the lowes app to your phone.. easy to do and it will save you hundreds in dollars by you scanning the items of interest and comparing to other items. Because lowes does not update shelf stickers as needed. Many items I seen in the ad were still marked at regular price and not showing sale prices. Stuff with 16.99 stickers that I got for 4.99 because I browsed and scanned items and found the clearance and sale items myself . Highly recommend doing things yourself... nobody else gives a damn
I would give a zero if I could. I have called 15 times, eventually each time the phone would hang up. Went to the store twice spent over 2 hrs trying to find the 4 cycle 30cc craftsman weedeater that said 4 was in stock. Still couldnt find it a day later and cant get an answer from the store. Cant even talk to a manager.
Used to be my preferred hardware store. Two times in a row the website aisle has been wrong, in different departments. Also the in stock count has been wrong. If you say 15 in stock but have none you are wasting my time. Hire better employees! Home Depot will be getting my business in the future.
My experience with Lowes Curbside Pickup was horrible. It is severely under staffed, and the app and service number were inoperable. The only part of the service that worked was the email confirming my order was ready for pickup. The app gave me an error with every attempt to submit my request for curbside service. Then, no one would answer the designated phone number. After having no success with the app nor the phone number, I went inside to customer service. There was no rep attending line for Online Pickup. The Returns associate advised he stepped away to assist someone with loading. After waiting about 20 minutes, when the Online Pickup rep finally returned, its to announce to his associate that hes going home. He blatantly ignored the line of people obviously waiting for him, took off his smock, and left, all while avoiding eye contact with his customers. The associate who was working the Returns apologized, and assisted us.
I like to shop at Lowes because the people there are helpful and friendly. Anytime I need to ask a question about a product I just find an associate for that area they come and help with all I need. I would recommend Lowes as a home improvement store. They have a large variety of items some you would not even think they would carry.
Its ok,they have some employees who get upset when you ask for assistance. But they have one whos name is Linda who was great she works in the section where you find the vents for dryers, very polite an she enjoy what she do.keep up the good work LINDA,you make it worth coming back 🍻👌👍☺
Bought an American Gourmet 2-burner gas grill here. Got home and tried hooking up the propane tank. Hose wasn’t long enough to reach the tank—the grill had been misassembled. Took it back to return it—turned out 3 of the 11 in stock had the same issue—someone assembled it in reverse, so it was impossible to hook up the propane. I let them know, but each of the three employees either said “I don’t work outside” or some response that meant they didn’t take note of the issue to fix it or didn’t care, so a few more customers will run into the same exact problem in the coming days...
I purchased a reverse osmosis system for my home as a christmas present. The filter had bust open and was leaking water. I tried to return it to the store but the cashier ask the manager for an override and she looked up and look down and wasn’t worried about the customer. I provided my bank statement that shows I bought it from the store and she won’t authorize my return within my 90 day return policy. Definitely does not follow the vision of the CEO. Definitely is not a store I would want VETERANS to shop at to keep this store afloat.
I had to stand in line to check out and stand in another line for a gift receipt. For something so simple it seems no one knew what to do. Check out too me over 20mins for 1 item. The service people walk away while your talking to them. Clearly the staff needs more customer service training.
4 associates walked passed me as I am loading 39 count of 8 ft metal landscape edging. NONE asked if I need assistance. Then when I get to the counter I tell the cashier that it was 39 count. She said well they are different lengths. They only sale two lengths 4 and 8! Then she counted about half and asked me if I said 39. I then had 3 associates pass me in the parking lot as I loaded them and guess what NONE asked if I needed help! I spent over $500 in your business today and not a single person there provided assistance! Terrible customer service. I will find somewhere else to spend my money from now on!
Great selection, great floor employees, horrible curbside pickup and customer service. i got double billed for something i ordered curbside when I had to go inside to get part of my order as a different item due to being out of stock. they handed me the 2 items that were in stock, didnt check id, didnt give receipt, didnt ask me to sign for them. I told them to cancel the whole online order, which they did the opposite, they marked it as received so I got charged. I then paid for it again at the register. While trying to resolve on the phone, I got hung up on 4 times. Lowes is great if you never use curbside and never have to return anything (the customer service line is always much longer than the register line). Now that they have stolen from me, and refuse to resolve it, I dont know what to do.
5 months ago, I had in issue with Lowes selling me a cabinet size that does NOT exist. I was told that I had to dispute this with the Credit Card Company first and if/when they say that they are not responsible for horrific error on Lowes part, I could take that letter to Lowes and begin my dispute with them directly. After FINALLY getting my letter back from the CC company 5 months later, I take this to Lowes to begin my direct dispute and low and behold, they tell me I only had 90 days to do a direct dispute with them. They did how, offer me a gift card for my troubles. A whole $25 after screwing me out of $3k in cabinets.Loyal customer since 2005.... Never missed a payment till now.Home Depot, here I come.
I recommend lowes but for the pro contractors I do not recommend Q!!A couple different instances with my husbands customers, she has been very disrespectful and rude to his customers.today she was asking customer about lowes card...the customer proceeded to ask her a question about lowes card, the phone rang(she wasnt only one back there) she rudely ignored customer when she engaged customer first and then answers phone. After she got off phone she rudely kept her head down and ignored the fact about the customer trying to ask a ?.time before cause she wanted commission she told customer n my husband that they were out of pickets and no one around had any.. that it would be close to a month before they get any in.I called home depot and they had all the pickets on hand that they needed..I understand about commission but the way you handle yourself to customer is disrespectful..not sure if anyone else had something similar happen with Q
Very conveniently located and fairly easy to find items in the store, however, locating a staff person to advise about the merchandise has typically been a challenge. When asked advice about re-installing a kitchen faucet, one associate advised that they were not allowed to provide guidance to customers due to liability issues. Thats really unfortunate, because Home Depot associates are very generous (and usually accurate) with advice.
Their customer service, at least on the phone, was atrocious. I called, waited for 5 minutes for someone to pick up, and when they did they were actually having a conversation with someone else and then just put me on hold without warning me they were going to do that. It was like they couldnt care less that I was calling them for help, I was treated like I was bothering them. When they picked up again, the same thing happened with them talking with someone else and then they hung up on me. I immediately called back and when someone picked up, before I could even finish saying what I needed help with they put me on hold again. This experience is seriously making me question if i should shop there.
Its quicker to walk around the store, pick up your items 10 times over and check out each item individually than wait in the pick up line. Literally ordered pick up 3 days ago and have been standing in line for 30 minutes. They only have 1 of 3 items ready so now Im waiting on an associate who is apparently searching for picture hooks in the gardening section.
Terrible customer service. Left standing for almost 15 minutes with no help! Staff saw us standing and waited until they were done taking their sweet time to address my concerns! Someone even watched us and continued talking as we were standing there! Then they sent me a notification stating my order was ready and when I got there, it wasnt! I do not recommend this Lowes! Go to Home Dept if you can, or anywhere, but dont come here! Rude and inconsiderate customer service!
Had a gentleman that worked there help us twice find exactly what we needed... I wish I got his name but he was so helpful even beyond what we asked. We were able to find everything we needed and our checkout lady was pleasant and quick. My fav hardware store in Columbus!
I was on my way today to Lowe’s when I remembered my last shopping experience there. So made a U -turn headed to Home Depot , where they value loyalty and the people don’t mind helping the customers. Thanks again Lowe’s for the lousy service I received and no follow up from your company on my concerns. My money may not count for much but best believe , I will tell all my family and friends about the services or shall I say no services.
John, a new hire, was amazing and helpful. Others who have been on the roster for a while lacked enthusiasm and overall knowledge about things, but they could definitely point in a direction and estimate lol. Also, never trust a person who works at a home improvement store that has two inch long fire🔥 colored dipped nails.
I got a great deal on a prelit Christmas tree. I ordered online and picked it up in the store. They had it ready for me at the service desk. Easy in, easy out! And they loaded in my car for me. Great friendly service right before Christmas, just what I needed during this hectic time!
The young man that helped me, was rude and was trying to do it in a way like he, new what the acting manager and when he found that what he said was different from the manager, he got a aggravated and trying to tell the teller what to, I dont really want to go back! Just some of the story in quick sum.
I have to go there frequently because Im renovating my home. Customer service is the WORST there. From the front desk to the appliance department. They will completely ignore you for as long as they possibly can, then act rude because you didnt like being ignored! Such a shame. Really ticks me off because so many people have to shop there, but hate to.2 stars for merchandise, 0 stars for employees.
I ordered a grill online and then called and canceled it because it would not be in stock when I needed it. Two weeks later I received a email saying thank you for picking up your item and was charged $290, when I called they said “no one picked it up and the girl just charged you” I asked why and was just told I would be refunded and hung up on! Now I remember why home depot is better!
Delivery and customer service department at the Columbus Lowe’s is a disaster. I have had to come to the store six times to have an in store order resolved. Dealt with dozens of phone calls while at work. Told to come to the store one last time to resolve the issue. I show up to the store and am told the person I need to talk to is in a meeting along with every manager in the store and it would be at least an hour before they would be done. I asked if there was anyone that could help me and was told no by CUSTOMER SERVICE. What a joke.
After having to endure Home Depot and the disorganization there, it was good to go back to Lowes. No lines, at all. No waiting in store. Garden check out is a little busy, but its that season. This is one chain that is not allowing the virus to destroy them. I dont think were going back to Home Depot, at least not our local location.
I ordered and received an oven with a factory defect not once but twice. I came into the store after the second time to speak to a manager. A manager named George and cashier named Decea gave me the best customer service I’ve experienced in years. They partially refunded me, explained to me what happened, and provided a working oven on the spot. Thank you—you earned my business for the next 5 years.
Will never shop Lowes again. Ordered custom windows in NOVEMBER and still nothing. They said 20 days originally. Didnt hear anything thru December. Called after the holidays in early January and was told the pickup date was now Jan 28th (never got an email or phone call about the delay). Called the store yesterday (the 28th) and was told I could pick it up today (the 29th). Just left the store after being told they hadnt even RECEIVED the windows yet. Waste of my time driving with a trailer to the store today, not to mention theyre costing me money with these delays.
Line as long as an isle for one casheer. I dont have an hour to wait in line. Year later update. Figured Id give them a try again. Tried 5 times to get info on a product by phone. Kept getting transferred to Neverland even when I said please dont transfer me. This store cares very little about their customers and their customer service reflects that. Hope they get shut down soon and replaced with a better option.
I ordered fencing and a gate. I received an email saying it was ready for pickup. When I got out there they said didnt have the gate. The manager Amy said she would order it for me. She was very helpful. In trying to follow up and see about delivery time I was put on hold 4 times on phone for 45min and got no answer as to what my order status was.Very frustrating.
This store needs an entirely new management team. I was the fourth person in line for returns and waited 40 MINUTES and by the time I left there were over a dozen people behind me with NO MANAGEMENT BACKUP WHATSOEVER. I can never find anyone to help find things, I’ve waited over an HOUR in the past for cutting a piece of wood. This place is RIDICULOUSLY MISMANAGED and has been for years.
Veterans in Columbus Georgia of all places shouldnt have to argue with the cashier and call her manager over just to get the military discount. My dd214 is attached to my lowes card (which I had on me) and I had my real ID with the veteran endorsement on me. Shame on the staff there.
Lowes has become the Wal-Mart of hardware stores, at least in Columbus GA. 2 cashiers, self checkout closed, and a line half way down the aisle. Plenty of associates in the store stocking shelves or standing around, watching us wait 30 minutes to check out. This level of service is becoming the norm. I avoid this place unless I need something quicker than Amazon can get it to me.
I go to Lowe’s for a bathtub, the FOURTH bathtub they get down for me has a crack. I literally just spent 3 hours in there trying to find a tub without a crack. Couldn’t find one, got a manager, Christine, and she only wants to give me $20 off for a cracked tub. What the heck!!!!!! It will cost me $40 to buy the stuff to fix the crack! Then I get to the front and there is an employee, Matt I think, showing his phone to other employees and laughing and I ask him for help to put the tub in the truck and he says “uh” and walks off so he doesn’t have to help me, I am a lady!!! What kind of place is this and what kind of people do you hire! Never will shop here again!!!!!
I bought a washer and dryer here for over $1,000. First, it took an employee awhile to come to the appliance area to help us. Second, the employee was not knowledgeable or helpful, but luckily we knew what we wanted. I was not given a time frame for delivery, just an entire day. They said they would call us the day of delivery. No one called by 2pm, so after waiting around, I attempted to call the store. No one ever picked up the phone for deliveries. When I tried just talking to customer service, they rerouted me to deliveries where no one picked up, I called again and I asked to speak with a manager. I was put on hold until they finally hung up on me after 10 minutes. I ended up calling the 1-800 number and they had difficulty finding my order. At least they answered. Finally, they admitted that a 3rd party was delivering it and it was on the truck, somewhere. The delivery people did finally call me, at 4pm and gave me a 10 minute notice. They showed up in a rented Ryder truck, they were polite but they scraped the hallway walls bringing in the machines. Overall, terrible customer service at this specific store and I will not be using them in the future.
Most of my experiences have been good at Lowes. However, my last visit was horrific. It was an online order that I only needed to go to customer service to retrieve. Somehow, it took 45 mins. The staff seemed very lost. That couldnt find a few customers orders and no one knew what to do. I wouldve been much better off just shopping for my own items. It definitely defeated the purpose of online shopping. Hopefully, they just had an off day, but it sure didnt seem that way.
LOWES store has been one of my favorite home improvements choice since the late 90s. I would like to believe the recent mishaps and miscommunications regarding inventory, online orders and deliveries are solely a cause of the COVID-19 pandemic thats affected the entire world. Never have I experienced such delay and set back on projects due to inventory not being correct on the website. Whether I order online and have it shipped to me or order online pickup in store. Once this pandemic recedes a bit, allowing me a clearer understanding if fault lies on the Lowes Corporation as well. I will revisit my review several months down the road from now and hopefully can increase my star rating.
I usually would give them at least a 4 but lately its been horrible no one knows anything about any of the products and they didnt have anything decent in stock and all the carts were in the parking lot.... maybe after a few months they will get it together and Ill try then
Nice thing about most of the Lowes Ive been to, they have the same floor layout so easy to find what youre looking for if youve been to other Lowes. The hardware section did not seem as loaded with screw and fasteners as the Lowes in Auburn AL that Im used to. It was quick in and out for me because I knew what to look for. Nice store, friendly staff.
I shop here quite frequently, as its the closest home improvement store to me. I have decided that I will make the drive to Home Depot as I am fed up with the extremely bad service. You cannot find anyone that is working except for the 2 cashiers in the store to ask questions to. Every time Ive asked for help with cutting wood Ive had to wait 45 minutes for someone to come. This is completely unacceptable. However, the 2 cashiers are always friendly, and there is one older gentleman in hardware that has been helpful a couple of times. Besides that, I have never had anyone that I could a) find easily, and b) actually knowledgeable about anything related to home improvement.
So this is a two part review. One I like the store in general good lay out as it looks similar to every other Lowes Ive seen. But when I use pro contracting for ordering bulk items Ive yet to have a good experience.. always missing one item or two, if I call it in, its not ready when they say it is (waited two hours past pick up once and on that occasion another customer called the staff racist for trying to get my order done over his... Thats not on the store though )Today I had an order to pick up from an online order. Called ahead, verified it was ready, went and got it. All in all, I was in and out in ten minutes. The security tag at the door went off and I stopped no big deal ya know I looked around for a cashier or rep to come clear it as the door was going off and there was a cashier not really doing anything so I directed my attention to her and she reluctantly came over and scanned it off and I thanked her and she rolled her eyes and walked away...like ok we all have bad days but ok. ..Over all, youll find what you need if you find it. The staff is hit or miss with knowledge and customer service.
I have had the WORSE two weeks with Lowe’s. We normally buy all our items from them but from now on we’ll go to Home Depot. We ordered a washer and dryer on April 20th to be delivered the 27th. Was called on the 25th told everything was good to go. Then at 7:30 am on the 27th I recurved a very rude unapologetic call letting me know they no longer had our washer and dryer and we could get another set (we’d have to pick something different) that would take another week or so to deliver or we could cancel or order. So we canceled our order. They refunded our money. The money money can back 3 days later and was $250 dollars short. It took TEN phone calls, me constantly being hung up on to get to someone to fix it. And instead of sending it back to our card they cashed it out!!! And took the cash to put in their safe until I can get it. During that time we had also ordered my mother in law a new grill for mother’s day to pick up next day. After two days of it not being ready I called and was told they weren’t and hadn’t worked on online orders. I asked if I could pick it up in a box and assemble it myself, and was told whatever. And hung up on.
Usually very good experience until today, curbside pickup. I was told by another pick up person that they waited 30 min and then called inside store and was told curbside pickup ends at 6pm. I thought that was silly so I called. A girl answered and said yes indeed curbside pick up ends at 6pm even though store doesn’t close for hours. I should come back in the morning. My husband is unwilling to accept this and calls again getting an associate in a different department then the front desk. This person said of course we can pick up and he said that is untrue that curbside ends at 6....Sheesh, draw your own conclusions. Hope this improves because it is a good store.
I have bought a dryer with complimentary delivery. On the delivery day I waited in my house for the whole time and no-one shows up. They didnt even called me for any updates . I decided to go to the local store to know what was going on. When i went back to the store to find out the problem, i was told that the delivery was rescheduled in a week. WTH . If the delivery day has changed the easiest thing to do is to call me for an update. I now requested to pick up the dryer myself with help to load it in my truck. It took them 20min to get it from the back. Then I was told to go open the trunk of my truck. They left me in 34 degree weather for another 15min. I had to go back to the store to beg them to help. I then got home and unloaded the dryer and it was a wrong model. Poor service ever. Very disappointed. Stacia the manager was very disrespectful and unprofessional with a big mouth. We can give you your money back. Yes thats how you treat customers. Give me my money back. Worst ever. I do not recommend this store. Go to office depot
We go here about once a month. Always seems busy but wait for register is usually not bad. We find everything we were intending to get fairly easy. Gift cards that are not Lowes did not work at any register this trip. Isles slightly crowded but due to Memorial day weekend most likely.
I ordered two cabinets on Tuesday for delivery. Online inventory showed both in stock. Wednesday no call from store, no delivery. Same Thursday. Friday they email and set delivery for Sunday! When they finally show up Sunday they only have one cabinet which they told me they pulled from inventory the night before, Saturday. Not good. Very poor logistics, very poor service as their inventory shows five cabinets in stock at the Opelika store 30 miles away. Delivery takes way too long to occur and they dont have the order complete? They dont make any effort to get one from Opelika? Extremely dissatisfied.
Purchased a stove the delivery person messed up the outlet and the breaker, had to bring in an electrician and to fix the issues at my cost. Could not get anyone to answer the phone, but when someone did answer they were constantly rerouting me and placing me on hold. Do not go here if you want professionalism, I will never give Lowe’s my business.
This is the first Lowes I have ever had issues at. The workers were plentiful, but refused to acknowledge I was standing next to them waiting on assistance. Did not even get we will be with you in just a few moments. Rather they looked at me as if I was inconviencing them.
This store is a hit or miss. So much so, that I really hate coming here. Some employees are great, friendly, and super helpful. However, when you’re there to spend $1000+ dollars and the employees are disrespectful, impolite, and no help at all, I’d rather make my purchases elsewhere. Half of the time I come to this location, I leave empty-handed because I get so frustrated with the employees and their “I don’t care” attitudes. Why should I give my hard earned money to a chain whose employees act like they’d rather be anywhere else? I have called management and was told that today’s issue would be addressed, but this isn’t the first time I’ve left this store frustrated and empty-handed.
I absolutely cannot begin to describe how inefficient this supposed “pick up” is. Cones are at the end of parking spots blocking anyone from pulling in. There are only two places to pull up with about 500 cars in the parking lot yelling at you and honking horns because you can’t get in. I circled the parking lot for 30 minutes before we could finally pull up. This is the second time I’ve had TERRIBLE customer service at this location. The first time was two years ago with a woman in appliances literally yelling at me about an online order. The common theme here is the online order. Lowe’s does NOT have an efficient system for this by any means. I will be shopping our local hardware stores in the future.
Wait 15 minutes to get door lock rekeyed. Associate finally comes to help. He says he does not know how to do it says he will try and find person. If you cant make keys or rekey a new doorknob dont advertise that you do. Awful service. If u had an alternative, I would never go back in store.
Calling here gets you no where you have to waste gas just to get information that could have been told to you over the phone if they knew how to pick up a phone. Even when youre in the store customers dont believe in trying to help you you have to physically walk around the store a hundred times to hunt down somebody that can help you and even then they still act like they dont want to help you. Home Depot is no better but at least Im able to get some service eventually while Im there, here its impossible. Ive already spent 30 minutes of my day calling to speak to the front desk people and trying to get in touch with the electrical department nobody has picked up the phone once.
I was in the store for over an hour and NO ONE offered me assistance. Even when I spent 15 minutes looking for a light bulb and associates walked by me! They were walking so fast that I didnt have enough time to stop them without sounding rude. The one time I asked for assistance at the customer service desk about getting a buggy because someone took mine, they were not cordial and made me feel like I was interrupting something important.
Received an email saying my fridge was in 3 days ago. Cleaned out old fridge and prepared to put new fridge in when I picked it up. Waited in line 15 minutes only to wait another 10 for the rude customer service agent to tell me it was not there and I would receive an email when it was. I showed her the email I already received and she said it was not there and she didn’t know when it would be. Seems like a 1500.00 purchase demands a little customer service. This will be the last purchase from Lowe’s I will be going to HD.
Today was not a good day at Lowes. Usually I dont have an issue but today I had to wait 20 minutes to get a hold of a manager and even then none showed up, just dealt with the issue over the phone while I stood at customer service. Also pretty irritated that I had to argue to get my paint sample returned because they supposedly dont return them even though it doesnt say that anywhere. The employee at customer service I dealt with was polite despite my questioning the policy. It was also a very busy day being right after Christmas but there wasnt a manager to be seen anywhere, and I scoured the store myself searching beforehand. There were a lot of customers waiting at CS also both for returns and other transactions with only 1.5 employees really working the counter. Overall not enough staff for the season.
Nice store. Appliance section and kitchen cabinet area very nice. Employees cheerful and quick to ask if you need help. Prices are compatible with nearby Home Depot. Located in nice part of town. Goid store to roam around in while figuring out what to buy for remodeled house.
I have a real bad experience yesterday I just ask to a manager him name it james him dont used the professional skills to deal with the costumer his have the pisition on his head like him it the owner for the store i preferred buying in home depot everything happens when I asking for a discount after purchase $1,595.23
Only one register open and that cashier clearly wasnt awake yet. There were 3 people in line ahead of me, one or two items each, and it took about 15-20 minutes to get them checked out. Also right before I got up to the register I noticed them quietly opening self checkout which is where I typically go, then the cashier for those registers just quietly sort of hid in the corner, no one ever announced those registers were open. I much prefer the products of Lowes over other places but this particular store has always had terrible customer service. If you can get anyone to get close enough to ask a question theyre usually more clueless than you are.

2022-05-09The customer service is usually good but on this particular day it was not. Will you ask somebody to help us and I said they would and they said they would go check on what was asking about and I never came back. We have somebody else and they did something fun. After an hour or waiting for help we just left. I was very disappointed

2022-02-22They dont seem to care if the electric carts are charged or not for disabled people. It takes just a second to plug them in.Otherwise the help I got from the young men that helped me in the store find what I needed was top notch. They were very professional and nice.

2022-03-01The greater sent us to customer service, Customer service did not even look up to acknowledge us, finally someone else ask what we needed and they sent us to the other end of the store. We waited patiently and the trailer we wanted did not have a title. No sale, limited help bad experience. Maybe a one time experience.

2022-01-23Have been a lifelong Lowe’s customer. I ordered a product a month ago, and when it finally arrived in store, the employees couldn’t find it in the back. Nobody communicated with me, I had to go to 3 different desks and speak with 5 different people just to be informed that it was lost. They told me I would have to come back the next day for someone else to help me. I called later that day and they were able to find it. I spent an hour on the phone with employees that were not helpful and frequently placed me on hold without telling me they were going to, cut me off, and spoke with other employees about topics other than work while I was on the phone. I spent over an hour on the phone with them to get it settled. Will be shopping at Home Depot permanently now. Extremely disappointed, Lowe’s lost me as a customer today due to poor customer service.

2022-02-21Well stocked for what I was looking for this last visit. Dont like having to wait for appliances for 3 to 5 days, but these are different times. It is not a place to shop for cleaning products, air freshners, etc unless your time is limited to one stop for appliances, decor, Construction items, plants, plus products listed above. $$$ will go back for construction items and appliances, plants.

2022-05-09Very dissatisfied with my purchase experience. I placed an online order for an exterior door. This store had it in stock. I was notified by email that my order was ready for pick up. When I arrived to pick it up, nobody could find it. I sat there for over 30 minutes while they searched for it. I heard one of the employees state that she had pulled the door from inventory herself the day before, but now it was missing. Initially they told me I would just have to cancel my order. I insisted they continue to look for my order. They finally found it. As I was getting it loaded onto my truck, I noticed that there were 2 separate scratches/dents on the steel panels of the door, and a crack on the wood casing of the door frame. Since it was the only door of that model in stock anywhere near me, I did not refuse it, but I am extremely disappointed in the customer service and quality of merchandise at this store.

2022-06-1648 hour return policy for appliances is absolutely ridiculous. Bought a washer right before leaving for military training and used it for the first time when I got home a week later only to find it completely inoperable. They won’t accept a return for their broken machine now. Make sure you get your appliances home and test them right away since they sell broken machines.

2022-04-17I was actually quite disappointed today!I went in to shop for an electric stove. I first asked three sales people standing together behind one desk if they had any scratch and dent electric stoves. They all three employees pointed to a cluster of clearance items off in a walking distance and I walked by myself without any assistance in the sales. I found nothing in stoves so I looked at the new electric stove inventory again, without any help that I was trying to achieve. I actually followed one sales person from the Appliance department for nearly twenty minutes to obtain his help and I was unable to keep up with his attempt to ignore and out walk Me.I realize a senior citizen and a single woman but I had cash on hand for My purchase. My disappointment leads me to understand that perhaps my money is not welcome at Lowes on Veterans Pkwy. In Columbus Georgia.

2022-05-17I went into Lowes in hopes to get advice on an issue I have with my 10 yr old front load washing machine (dispenser to be specific). I had a serious residue buildup in the area behind the liquids dispenser drawer. Once removed the drawer and thoroughly cleaned the residue, I sat it aside. The opening in which the drawer slides into was covered with a thick coating of liquid softener and (He) laundry detergent. I wiped all of that out and, went as far as my arm could reach. Here is why I went into Lowes. The Black hose (not sure on the lenth) that all of the diluted detergent, softener and bleach flows thru to get the tub also has a residue buildup. I was very fortunate the an employee of Lowes named Brad found me and, asked how he can assist me. He did his research and, advised me on a possible solution to breakdown the clogged hose. I just dont want to have to call a repair guy to fix the issue. Now, I need to go home to hopefully fix the problem.

2022-03-15I am trying to GIVE them money but I cant get anyone to answer the phone. We have a little over 1,000 square feet of flooring to be replaced after a washing machine leaked and ruined a section of floor. We have the flooring picked out, the insurance has paid the claim, but sadly SEVERAL attempts to contact someone at the store to set up a measure for the job have all just gone to ringing phones and perpetually being put on hold, transfered to flooring, no answer, back to original person. Very frustrating. I can only imagine how much business they are losing.
