Not very happy with the shape of the store. Macys in the past was nice. It was clean. It was shiny. What happened?!? Today when visiting, the one person at the MAC counter was never available to assist me to make a purchase. A rather large purchase. Also the clothing racks in many areas were all jumbled together and it was just a massive pile of clearance. It seriously looked like a thrift store in those spaces. The clothing “style” is not necessarily their fault bc I do realize it’s the fast fashion trend but sheesh, where is the quality. Relies too heavily on INC and and the horribly overpriced Kors brand. What ever it is that’s happening, it’s not good. Didn’t buy anything for myself, but I did grab some jeans for my son. It was nice to see them carry his size. I will return another time. Wish they could revamp the store or something. It’s a sad day when I might actually think about visiting the old wretched Dillards over Macys! I would’ve never imagined..
Great sales, store is what you would expect from a Macys. You can tell there were new cashiers, however the more seasoned cashier was very helpful and it shows that their customer service training goes beyond the surface; they truly take pride in the service they give.
They dont have a lot variety its pretty much all the same clothes with different brands on them. Their sales are a joke. We were looking for a purse for my wife and they said they were on sale but then we noticed that they slapped new sticker prices on a lot of them making them more expensive than what they are originally for so when they you get the discount your paying closer to the original price. Thats not cool.
Customer service needs improvement. Everyone looked drained and unenthusiastic. It was just sad. Im coming to experience the joys of shopping and I want to feel welcomed. Instead I felt like I was at a funeral.... And it was morning time! Macys pull yourselves together. I may not be able to see your smile but I felt your energy and it wasnt good! I hope next time I will have a better shopping experience.
Enter to pickup my online order today, when I arrive at the counter an employee named Patti tells me that she cannot attend me at that time. I told her that I was coming to pick up my online order and thats the only place to do it, to which she responded I cant help you anyway now because I have to do something else first (and she left the counter to the back). After 20 minutes I came back and She attended to me saying Oh, now I can help you. No apologies or nothing.WWhat is supposed to be a pickup in store order is to make life easier for the customer who ALREADY BUY online and just wants the item to leave. It was not pleasant at all having to wait for Patti, much less leaving me waiting without any explanation, just I cant help you now .. And yes, She was so rude and speaking with attitude. Macys is my favorite store, But the customer service Patti gave me today was the worst of all, unacceptable.Five stars for Macys 👍 but One star for Patti Customer Service 👎
So many things that could be improved. It reminds me of the Sears second floor (when it existed) but without the umph behind the counters. We were looking for earrings and no one even side glanced our way to ask if we needed help. Went to Dillards with completely different results and thus gave them our business.
I have been meaning to write this review for some time. A few months ago, I was trying to find some nice dress slacks for my sons. Unfortunately, I was having a difficult time finding the correct sizes for my them. Fortunately, a wonderful sales person by the name Patricia came to our rescue. It wasn’t long before she located multiple options for my boys to try on. After finding two pairs of perfect fitting pants for both my sons, Patricia politely walked us over to the register, and processed my payment. We were back on the road in no time, and couldn’t be happier with our experience.
Went here specifically for a gift for the wife. Not a lot of people at the mall these days but I was glad I went. The counter person was helpful and made suggestions which I agreed with happily. Recommend for the cleanliness, fairly modern store and friendly associates.
The store is nice but the employees on the lower level apparently have an issue with ringing people up. After standing in line at a register accompanied by NOBODY we walked over to the customer service desk where three employees stood doing absolutely nothing. They rang us up any ways while explaining to us that it wasnt there job to do so and openly complaining about customers coming there to check out and how they must not be able to read. Sooooo.... Youre telling me youre standing behind fully functional register doing NOTHING while people are standing in line at check out registers that dont even have a cashier present? I dont appreciate whiney employees telling me its not there job to do something. ITS YOUR JOB TO ASSIST CUSTOMERS, PERIOD. At the very least, one of the three of them standing there doing absolutely nothing could go to one of the unattended registers and check people out. I dont need lip and snotty attitudes from some little service desk clerk. If you would staff your registers, then people wouldnt come there to check out to begin with. You wont have to worry with servicing me again, cause I wont be back.
If I could give this place ZERO star I would.. Dont forget to read the return policy because if you remove the tags they wont take it back... I will never shop here just because I cant remove the tag and make a return like other clothing stores offering better prices, trendier clothes and best of all an EASIER RETURN POLICY.
This is a complaint about Macys corporate furniture customer service, not my specific local store.Never buy furniture from Macys! After months of delays, I finally received notice that the local distribution warehouse had received my order from the manufacturer and Id be contacted soon to schedule delivery. I also confirmed this at my local Macys furnitureshowroom. After 6 weeks I received another email postponing delivery 4 months.Thats when I called customer service. I informed the rep that I had visited my local Macys furniture showroom, the showroom rep confirmed the order had been received at the distribution center. The customer service rep stated that there are no Macys furniture showrooms, that Macys doesnt make furniture, and that I had not been updated with this information. I guess Macys customer service policy is to just call customers liars. When I restated that this was information I had received, the rep said, Well I guess you know more about our process than I do.This is atrocious service. I have been a Macys customer my entire adult life. Its bad corporate customer service that hurts local stores. I feel bad for my local store who provides great service only to have customers driven away by people like this. The rep on the phone was more than happy to cancel the order. Had no desire to provide a service or keep a sale. This why Macy stores are closing all over the country. Its not the economy, its who you use for customer service.
Oh my! I havent been in Macys in a long time. I see why the store is struggling. Whereas, it was once my favorite store, its like a ghost town...very few selections of clothing for my liking, weird new sizing in womens clothing, and overpriced markdowns on shoes. I couldnt find one thing to spend my birthday gift card.
They wont take my tie back.. I think they think I stole it... I bought a tie 4 days ago at another location... Guess what??? Since I took the tag off they wont take it back... Not to mention fitting rooms are closed for COVID so I risked buying a tie I couldnt even try on... Thanks Macys for being highly inconvenient like im not ON Camera purchasing the tie and wanted to make a simple return because the policy is horrible. Other clothing stores dont care if you remove the tag or not they ACCEPT RETURNS!!!
If I could give 0 stars I would! I went to Macys to get a bracelet for my wife. The full carrot bracelet was in the display with the half carrot price and management would not honor it. The associate that helped me even said herself that the sign was misleading and took the sign out of the display box. The first manager who I think name was Jill apologized but Vanessa didnt seem apologetic at all. She didnt really try to help or understand where I was coming from. Im still waiting to contact the store manager!

Very classy and clean. Nicely decorated. Great holiday sales going on. The associate at the Clinique counter was especially friendly and helpful to my 80-year old mother-in-law that needed assistance with finding a skincare product recommended by her cancer physician. I highly recommend them.
I received my order on 6/25/2020. I opened it on 6/27/2020 to wear. I noticed it(bra) was balled up. I put on gloves so I could pull it out of the package. It looked as if it had been worn and the strings were coming out in different areas. After feeling like it had been worn, I removed it from my home, and threw it in the dumpster. During this pandemic I would hope that all returns are and should be claimed out. They shouldnt be placed back on a shelf to be resold or reorder by anyone. Im a dear customer of Macys and I have never encountered such a problem as this. Lets not let another customer have to experience a situation as this. I also have pictures.
Gotta stay fresh. Macys knows exactly what the customer wants. Its almost as if they take the guess work out of what I really wanted. Dont forget to sign up for the credit card. Youll be coming back for the deals that you read in your email. I cant wait to come back and save more money by spending more!
I have to say the place is nice and clean easy to get in and out. Wheelchair accessible parking.Now I always counted on Macy’s to have better quality woman’s clothing but nothing was worth the price they charge. It’s the buyers who are to blame not the store. I can’t believe how longstanding designers are cheapening their brand with polyester clothing that’s horrid. I despised having to wear this fabric when I was a child and I can’t believe it’s in fashion, when will it end?I specifically shop there to find quality clothing made of quality fabric sad to say this is not the case anymore.
It was kind of weird. I went in the store to buy this Polo sweat suit. The price said 20% off due to black Fri. I paid for them and noticed that I didnt get the discount. I went online with my phone and seen that it was a 25% discount for the same outfit. I went back to the register and was told that the discount only applies to members that have a Macys card. I dont. So, I went to customer service and returned the outfits. I can get them for cheaper online and free shipping. Amazingly, from the same store.
Wow, what a great experience. Ms Dorothy and Ms Sonya (on another visit) were phenomenal! Experts in helping you get a suit/tie/shoes...etc and a great smile & sense of humor.Great prices and customer service. Highly recommend that if you need a suit......go see these two young ladies.
After spending several minutes looking for shoes, and someone to assist us. I finally took a pair to one of the registers and stood in line.A floor manager was walking the floor on a phone call. When she approached my sister and I she ended her call promptly, and assisted us with the shoe.Unfortunately the shoe had to be special-ordered, as they did not have my size in stock.What I found to be quite interesting though - was the demeanor of the sales person behind the register.In the presence of the floor manager the sales person became quite vibrant, and actually began smiling.Had the demeanor of the salesperson been like this prior to the floor managers arrival, they would have received five stars as opposed to four.The floor manager truly won me over, and she was the floor manager of another department not the one that I was in.
Holiday shopping so it was extremely busy. They needed to open more register stations considering the time of year. The line I was in was 8 people deep. I did find some really good deals so in the end it was quite worth it. The staff was friendly even though they were so swamped.
Returned some items to the women’s department. Charlotte, salesperson, seemed aggravated to deal with my returns. She would scan the item and then walk to the hangers, one item at a time, to rehang them. There were two other customers behind me waiting to checkout. Very poor customer service.
Shop Online or go elsewhere. Relatively empty store, not many shoppers. Online pickup had one attendant and 8 customers waiting. I decided to look around. Nobody offered help in Health & Beauty, nor in Housewares. For the extra that Macys charges, I dont think the gas and parking lot search is worthwhile. I found one male near a register in mens jeans who was helpful. No other employees even glanced my way.
Alot of good things about this place but their service is not on point... I walked around trying to check out but every one around the perfume counters were seemingly too busy. I can deal with that but the lady that checked me out in womens was kind of rude. I was trying to figure out the rewards thing and she just seemed really cynical of me. Referring to the online coupon as.. I dont know where that came from bc that is not a Macys coupon or site... Um yes it was. Whatever the case prices were good.
Not a fan of the was their sales work. Sign clearly stated military discount store wide. With NO fine print on sign. Clerk said shoes were excluded; again it was nowhere on the sign that was located in the shoe department. Took my business elsewhere. Otherwise they’re one of the better clothing stores for men.
Perhaps it was because i came straight from work (i am a chef) and was still in work clothes, regardless of the cause, i was pretty much ignored while those around me were eagerly assisted. Thier loss.I was attempting shopping for jewelry for my spouses birthday. It all worked out for the best. I ended up in another store, in close vicinity, where they were so helpful that i was happy to give them my buisness.Lesson is, there are plenty places in this town to purchase jewelry, choose one that values you.
Macys has fallen off, the mens shoe department is a joke, the fact that there isnt a sales associate makes it even more laughable. I dont know where they took this turn into indifference however I wish they would return to the days of giving the lady what she wants, before they completely descend into obscurity..
I have been a fan of Macys for many years. You get the coupons in the mail. You go into the store and its really nothing you can use them toward. So theres not a really big advantage to going to Macys any longer. And if you used their credit card the interest rate is extremely extremely high. It went from my favorite to my least favorite store.
In my experience, m Macy’s has friendly, helpful staff :) When it’s quiet, I enjoy having convos with them. I wish this Macy’s had more variety of clothing brands and stock of my size... so when a line is on a very good sale, it runs out fairly quickly. This the only Macy’s in Augusta... so after that, I’m stuck with online ordering :( I moved from a mid-sized city which had like, 5 Macy’s (now 4), so I’ve been spoilt for choice in the past. If a Macy’s is going to only have one store in a city, then it would be nice if it had greater variety of brands, clothing lines, and more stock.
Very good store a lot to choose from a little on the expensive side but for the most part everything was worth it, the staff has been pretty helpful in deciding on things and answered all the questions I had and check out was pretty fast. Very happy with my experience here and will be coming back later.
I dont really shop in Macys, only for the MAC counter. Not saying that this store is bad or not worth the money. I actually think they have great merchandise I just dont shop here. They have many designers represented here. I dont know where all the departments are located but I know the upper level is womens apparel, makeup and perfume counters, and womens accessories. I look at some of the items when I walk through to enter the mall and its pretty nice. I frequent the MAC counter here when Im wanting to splurge on my beauty look. The makeup artists are very friendly and helpful always giving suggestions on trying new products that they have, I know thats what they get paid for but I like to know what the current beauty trends are. Maybe one day in the near future I will browse more and become more familiar with the store and its merchandise. I will definitely be back for my makeup needs!!!
Im sure its the call center and now the store, but I will not be shopping at Macys ever again. Ive had the worst experience over two freaking mugs! Calling in is a nightmare, they are obviously not US based anymore. Their policies on how they treat customers that call in are just bad!! They seriously need a customer service adjustment. Will be looking into a BBB complaint.. Seriously, dont give them your money, I would rather shop at Walmart and thats saying something!One order with these guys and I just am appalled with how they handled it.
Staff was somewhat rude and unhelpful. This is the only Macy’s I know of that does NOT follow their own price match policy from their website. Also, the store as a whole is a bit run down and outdated. No need to return here. Will go out of my way to go to a different store next time. What a shame.
We were in the lingerie department for a while, waiting patiently for the young lady to assist us, considering she was the only person working at that moment and she had a customer who needed a great deal of help. We noticed we were being watched by some strange man in the lingerie department, he wasnt with any one he was just standing in the department watching us, which made me very uncomfortable. Then the GIRLS in the shoe department were rude when we were checking out. My mother asked her to give her a moment, she had her birthday coupon, but instead of doing that, which I need to add this was a Tuesday afternoon, NO ONE was shopping, she rang us up, while chatting with her co-worker, and proceeded to check us out! My mother was so flustered and upset, she couldnt find her coupon! Never had such a bad visit at MACYS! BTW...figured out the guy watching US shop was ASSET PROTECTION! WORST SHOPPING EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!!
Wish i could give them a Zero!!!!! Worst customer service ever.....we purchase a tools of the trade cookware set with a lifetime warranty, when the handles started falling off we tried to take them back and they refused...Called the corporate office and received the same hate to say this but Sorry!!! service....will never again shop from Macys, they have lost a customer that is for sure!!!!
The employees who rung me up had difficulty removing the security device on the product I wanted to buy. They were talking quite a long ammount of time to figure it out so they suggested to refund the pants. They manage to get the device off, when I was in the middle of the refund. They through me into a loop and I agreed to go through with the original purchase.
Like Macy . Even though they have a lot, I cant seem to find anything fir me in the past year. Styles have changed and some items (women dress clothes) are ridiculously high. I received coupons for Christmas and havent found anything yet and its almost Christmas again.
Macys have a great selection of Home, Makeup cosmetics, Clothing, shoes, etc... this is the store to shop! Prices are alot more pricey here!! But you pay for quality...Also, when they have a SALE its a GREAT SALE !!! love this store!!! Great friendly sales associates.
A very over priced store and when I went to make a return, the clerk was very rude and decided to give me a gift card instead of a refund, not even a full refund. Needless to say that was money down the drain because they have lost my business. I would not recommend.
Do not buy from Macys l got some PJ wash them had a rip in them never put them on went back to the store to get another pair she told me she would return them this time but if the other ones do the same thing they will not take them back two day Wow Im done with them my card will be cancelled

2022-01-25Nice place to shop. There are employees who ask if you need help finding something. That’s rare lately. Short line at the register. Good selection of products and nice displays. Took off 1 star because the dressing room is in need of repair and cleaning and the carpet has nasty stains.

2022-06-03Today I had a return from an on line order. I really like that you can return items that don’t fit at the store instead of shipping back. I waited my turn today. Usually I’m an invisible person and ignored. But today was such a blessing. The staff member addressed me and said she would be right with me while still connected with the customer in front of her. Well it was my turn and as usual a customer acted like I didn’t exist and wanted the staff member to solve her problem without even thinking of me. It’s been my experience everywhere that the staff member ignores me and seeks out what the other needs but today was different. She kindly told the customer that she would be glad to help her when she completed my transaction. Also for some reason I could not bring up my receipt on my phone but it was no problem. I just had to use my Macy’s card and she brought it up perfectly. The staff member made eye contact with me and kindly told me to have a pleasant day. I actually felt cared about. 2022-04-09I do not like how they fixed downstairs. It looks like a bargain basement. Everything is to close together. But upstairs look like A expensive part of the store. At the end of the day. I always love Macys because of the workers. Some been there since I was in high school. To help me now they be shocked to see me with my son lol.

2022-06-02The store was filthy..the floors were horendeous. with piles of dirt everywhere. unbelievale for a supposed high end store. My husband and I walked halfway in the store from the main entrance and turned back around because the floors look like a mud room. Absolutely disgusting.

2021-12-23Great experience and the Sales associate Kimberly made me feel so special. She insisted on helping me and was literally my personal shopper while I visited the store. The store manager Jill was very personable and attentive as well. Thanks for an amazing experience. I will be back.

2022-04-11Wonderful service as they were very helpful on finding someone to take the second tag the was hidden on the prom dress when we bought the dress. They kept apologizing for not getting it off but it was no big deal because we didnt even see it either.

2022-03-12Could not find a white button down long sleeve shirt there to save my life. Everything but what I needed. Shoe selection sucks. I MISS SEARS! No customer service at all! Couldnt get any help, so I left. Went to Gentlmens Warehouse.
