Terrible customer service, I was patiently waiting in line to order some cookies then Andrea the young lady working the front counter knowingly went right around me to go help another customer. I came in before that customer, that left a bad taste in my mouth. I will never come back to this establishment.
Love this place! If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would! The staff is super welcoming and the cookies and ice cream are awesome. Will always be my go to place for ice cream or cookies! :)
I just came from work with my friend and we were served by jack and Lindsay. They were the most selfless, kind, funny, and hard-working people I have ever met in my entire life. They were treating me with such respect and I really appreciated the service. I will definitely be coming here much more and I can only expect that the rest of the workers are just as kind, funny, selfless, and hard-working

This location is amazing! It always makes me feel so welcome as soon as I walk in! The employees always greet me kindly and continue to maintain such kind customer service! The worker Andrea served me and she made my experience even more welcoming! She served me with a giant smile and had such fast service I was out of there in around five minutes! Will definitely come back again VERY often!
Very clean, good establishment with engaged workers. they seem to enjoy their job and have good service when you dont harass them. great cookies and the ice cream is creamy and has a good selection on both especially on the weekends. all in all i love this store and other store locations
This is a great place to stop by for after dinner treats. Its nice to see the kids from the area working in the community. I love the service and laid back atmosphere!!! So glad to have this lil gem in my area when Im craving ice cream or cookies!
This place is awesome, the staff are super friendly and especially Kyaa, she is super sweet and made the overall experience just 10x better! I would definitely recommend this establishment and will definitely be back here soon.
I did have a bad experience a few months ago, but I went back and without even knowing 100% it was me the owner made it right. This place always has lots of ice cream flavors and fresh baked cookies!
Horrible customer service! We went there with some friends to celebrate our kids. We were waiting in line along with other customers. The owner came in with his son and went behind the counter. He had the workers stop working on paying customers orders to have them get him and his son some ice cream. Then he left. That tells you all you need to know about the kind of business he’s running!
The regular cookies are okay but the service is TERRIBLE. I was surprised when the employee only talked to her friends and coworkers then she only spoke 2 sentences to me. If you don’t want a job then please quit especially since this is a nice looking place in a popular area that has potential.
Excellent. Customer service was great. My granddaughter knocked her entire ice cream off the table. We tried to pay for another one. But the mgr gave her another ice cream for free. You dont see s stuff like that anymore. Again I highly recommend

This place is great! The establishment is very clean and cool and the cookies/ice cream are always delicious. The staff are courteous and welcoming (sometimes surprising with young people working, but this was a nice experience). They listened and were helpful to my family and other families coming in after me. I watched them ask a family if everything was correct with their cake order for a party and they were so patient and polite. I will definitely be ordering my family’s next bday cake from them!

I visit this place often and I always have a good experience. Tonight was COMPLETELY different. First it was over 7 TEENAGERS behind the counter and nothing was getting done. No adult was there so the teenagers was running the show. Our order was wrong and it got more confusing as more teenagers tried to correct the problem. Needless to say I left with a headache. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE hire some adults.

Very disappointed with this location. I placed an online order for pick up. I even waited an additional 15 minutes after my pickup time. Upon arrival the store was packed. I waited to pickup my order as there was no one available for pickup orders. After checking my order I notice I was given the wrong item and returned it to an employee, who showed my order receipt to the manager. The manager then shouts across the creamerythat is what she ordered! Apparently the manager does not know the difference between stuffed chocolate chip cookie and chocolate stuffed cookie icecream cup. I order $4.99 ice cream not a cookie. Incredibly rude young lady. The second item on my order was completely melted by the time I received my missing order. Wont be back.
The best Ice cream ever! And Caitlin was phenomenal even though she made it hard for me to make a choice from all the great flavors. We will definitely be visiting often. Thanks Caitlin!
We were excited to go get ice cream this past Sunday but we left after noticing none of the employees had masks on as they talked over the ice cream. Also seemed to be too many people eating inside when the website page states that there’s no dining in at this location. Very disappointing!

Review from 09/24I will never return again. It was extremely upsetting to see the carelessness of the staff. Initially I thought I was just observing inexperienced, young employees improperly handling food. From the gentleman due to his height with the long hair that has to stick his head side ways into the ice cream cooler without a hair net (I’m certain there is hair in there), the young lady with the long black hair dropping an ice cream cone on the floor and sitting it on the counter, and then the young African American lady picking the cone off the counter to dispose of it but never changed her gloves. She continued to walk around to touching everything.My son received his chocolate ice cream shake only for him to say it tasted nasty. I sampled it and it tasted like peanut butter. I mentioned this to the staff to admit to me it was CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER ice cream. It was placed in the incorrect bin. My son has an allergy to peanuts. A true documented allergy. This incident could have gotten your facility closed down.Let’s also discuss the lack of professionalism that occurred afterwards. The young man and the young, short blonde haired lady were fussing bc he told her to leave after making this deathly mistake. The store was filled with customers as they moved to the back of the store to continue to argue. Just know that these incidents will be reported to the department of health. Mistakes happen but when it comes to my child, I do not take these things lightly.
I ordered my first cookie sheet cake from them, giving them free reign on an 80’s theme. They did an AMAZING job. I highly recommend letting them use their artist creativity to design your cake. Fantastic job, y’all blew my expectations out of the water!!! Thank you

Haven’t tried the ice cream at this location yet, but the great American cookie is top notch!! All of the decorators are incredible! We have gotten the most amazing cookie cakes ever, they taste great and they are so friendly too! We had one issue one time where a cookie Cake wasn’t ready as ordered but the mgr took care of it and were very understanding as were we on the confusion! Nobody is perfect, but truly respect a business who handles the situation and makes it all better! Nobody was rude and we will always use this store! Thanks

Worst experience ever I ordered a cookie cake the day before Father’s Day. Keep in mind I drove an hour away to pick up my order the size was wrong the message on the cookie cake was wrong. The employees were great but the so called owner handled the problem which was an error on their end wrong. She had the audacity to want me to drive back an hour which defeats the purpose the cake was for Father’s Day.
I don’t inow the guys name, but his twin sister works there as well. He is one of the friendliest employee I have been in contact with in a long time. He was quick, funny, & made the experience so much fun! Ever thought we couldn’t eat inside. So so friendly. That was was outstanding and should deserve an award for how awesome he is there.
This place is AMAZING. The staff is super friendly and the environment is amazing. The outdoor and indoor seating accommodations are a huge plus during Covid-19. The lobby area is big and spacious, so that everyone can maintain a safe distance from other customers. I am beyond impressed with the friendly staff and the quality of the products. The young lady that helped me recommended the banana pudding ice cream with marshmallow cream and graham crackers and it was INCREDIBLE. It tasted just like my grandmothers homemade banana pudding she used to make when I was a kid. I will definitely be returning. Thank you Great American Cookie in Dallas for bringing some quality deserts and treats to the Cedarcrest community!
I was just there with my toddler trying to get a cookie. I was the only person in the cookie portion of the shop, but there were maybe 2 families in the ice cream section being served before I got there. I waited patiently for about 10 minutes. I saw 3 workers and not one of them acknowledged me while I waited and waited and waited until I ended up having to take my very disappointed toddler over to the subway for a cookie instead. (subway employees greeted me immediately and let me know theyd be with me shortly unlike great american cookie.)
Jack made a perfect cookie cake for my sons 15th birthday. He made a perfect Ferrari F40 that blew everybodys minds. He had made many cakes for us in the past as well. Will keep coming back.
My biggest issue with this store is that they never recognize me as a member of the rewards program. Ive been here 3 or 4 times and its always the same issue. Someone today said its because they use the cookie company app instead of the ice cream app even though this place is both and the app has both. I specifically signed up on the app at the suggestion of an employee. Its a small thing, but extremely frustrating since rewards clubs are supposed to be easy. Personally, Ill drive miles out of my way to avoid this irritation again.
I ordered a basic menu item, the coffee shake, which is advertised as having mocha drizzle, some toppings, whipped cream and a cherry on top.However, my shake only came with ice cream and whipped cream. As someone who has worked in a similar form of customer service, I definitely understand messing up when things get busy. However, every customer should feel prioritized and their order be made as correctly as possible. If the drink didn’t cost so much it wouldn’t have bothered me. But for $7 with no additional items other than what’s on the menu, that bothers me quite a bit.
So many flavors to choose from but the coconut ice cream is THE BEST FLAVOR EVER! Lots of toppings to choose from. My new favorite place!!

I been meaning to write this review for quite some time! Let me first off say the ice cream is awesome! My favorite being red velvet! The main reason I wanted to write this review was because of two employees that work there. Jady and Kaara! I usally see both or sometimes one of them when I get ice cream. These employees are some of the nicest, kindest, and most helpful workers Ive gotten to see. Jady always welcomes you with a smile and is super efficent at making my ice cream! She made red velvet once (the batch of that day) and ive never tasted better ice cream! Karaa (I hope im spelling her name right) was the first employee I talked to when I tryied out this location! She had and has an uplifting spirt!! She was super nice and was helping me with all the options and letting me now the prices (i asked her) to each size and variation. These Girls where soo exremly helpful and the custuromer service was off the charts!! It brings me joy to walk in to get ice cream and see either of them there!
If it wasn’t for Rhian this would be a one-star review. I went in this afternoon to get three milkshakes. There were four young ladies working. One didn’t even acknowledge me while standing at the register then walked to the cookie oven before going to the back aimlessly. The second, a blonde girl, asked how she could help, I told her I wanted three shakes and she told me they don’t have milkshake mix...you mean milk?!She went to the back and never came back.Enter Rhian, she took my order and got right to it. Meanwhile the other three were chitchatting in the back and instead of helping their co-worker make the other shakes, considering there were two other blenders available.Rhian was as quick as she could be working solo and was very friendly. She also made three excellent milkshakes.I will be going elsewhere when I’m looking for a shake next time though.
Ice cream and cookies were decent. But no employees were wearing face masks and only one had gloves on. Concerning as they are serving food and the Great American Cookie corporate page states that there are high standards including, but not limited to “team members wearing face masks”.
Icecream was decent thought overpriced. Whats most disappointing thing is the lack of masks when youre preparing food the employees should have had them on. Its the company policy listed on their website. Seems like the employees there could use a little more training with the masks and general customer service. They seemed very flustered with the few people that were in there and too busy holding their own conversations to pay attention to the guests.
First time at this location!!!! I travel a lot and have been to many different GACs. This establishment is very clean and cute. The employees were taking precautions for Covid-19, as they were all wearing masks and washing their hands. The cookies were SO fresh, and the cotton candy ice cream is amazing. Everyone that works here is so friendly and have positive attitudes, they will make you feel right at home! Will definitely tell all my friends to come here!!!!

I asked for like 4 different things and they couldnt make it.No mask on the workers,I thought every place the workers were supposed to wear mask?Very slow and no one was in there.All I can say is I wouldnt go back.
HORRIBLE service!! Their slab is always “broken” so they can’t mix toppings into the ice cream and they make you feel like an inconvenience for wanting them! I ordered REESE’S just as I had a few days before but instead discovered a bunch of Reese’s pieces (which I don’t like) mixed into my ice cream. I complained and the girl lied and said they don’t have Reese’s cups even though I had just gotten them at same location days before. Terrible experience.
Not comfortable that this is the only food service place where NO employees wear masks ... if you are serving me ice cream and cookies put on a mask . It doesn’t matter to me If employees do temperature checks or anything like that because you could be asymptomatic and giving me my food, it’s not right!! Get it together

We love having 2 Marble Slabs/GAC equal distance from our home. We often stop here for cookies/ice-cream when we grab Taco Bell. They did a great job on both of my daughters custom basketball & volley cakes!

2022-02-12Cookies are decent, though a bit pricey. The girls that work there are gossip drama queens that were talking trash about the owner the whole time I was at the counter and even cursing. Dont think this is a very family oriented place with the employees cursing in front of customers. Cookies were good, but service was sub par......Update: just went my third time and definitely will not be going back. I was charged almost $19 for half a dozen cookies. The cookies I choose were not even on their menu with no price, the cookies are not clearly marked as far as size and specialty. Every time I have been there, I get charged a different price. It seems like they are making up prices as they go. Not a honest business model.

2022-04-09I ordered a regular size ice cream and the lady at the register asked how many scoops I order I told her I order a regular and she begins to yell at the girl who made it. Very rude. She needs a lesson on how to speak to you employees. She belittled them in front of a restaurant full of people and embarrassed me as well. She does not need to be the manager

2022-04-07The guy who made my shake completely ignored me when I asked to have literally just one topping blended with my milkshake (which ended up being like, 2/3rds milk) and instead just said yeah ok, and went and blended it anyway. When I told him I asked to have cake chunks blended with it, he just said oh my bad man. No offer to even just reblend it with the cake chunks. Definitely not worth the insane near $9 they charge for a milkshake when theyre made by someone who doesnt even have basic listening skills or measuring skills.

2021-07-02Love this place! Their staff are super friendly always ready to greet customers as they walk in and serve them in a timely manner even when it gets supper busy. They have the best ice cream and cookies around and if you need a cake they are the place to call they have such amazing decorators and if you need help with anything they are so patient with you. Again love this place.
